RNC Making Backup Plans for Presidential Nomination if Trump is Sentenced to Prison
|
|
The Republican National Committee is "working on" contingency plans should former President Donald Trump be sentenced to jail in the days before the national convention in Milwaukee, but no matter what, he will be the nominee, RNC Chair Michael Whatley said on Newsmax on Tuesday.
"I'm actually going up to Milwaukee this week, and we're going to have a series of conversations," Whatley told Newsmax's "Wake Up America." "But look, we expect that Donald Trump is going to be in Milwaukee, and he's going to be able to accept that nomination, and if not, we will make whatever contingency planning we need to make for it."
But at the end of the day, Trump will be the nominee, and "he's going to be the 47th president of the United States," Whatley said.
Whatley wouldn't comment on the contingency plans but said the convention will be Trump's opportunity to roll out his vision for the United States. (Newsmax) Read more here.

Biden's Plan to Save Hamas

The deal the White House is pushing is “nearly identical to Hamas’ own proposals.”
After families across Israel had lit their Sabbath candles, returned home from synagogue services and begun their festive meals, President Biden looked at his watch in D.C.
“Just checking it’s afternoon,” he said. And then he got started on his speech to save Hamas.
There was nothing accidental about the timing of the speech on Friday afternoon, at a time when much of America’s political establishment was heading out for the weekend while Israeli Jews were celebrating the Sabbath and many were not even using electronic devices.
After celebrating former President Trump’s conviction, Biden announced a new deal under which Hamas would rule Gaza, get billions in U.S. aid and dozens of its terrorists would be released from prison in exchange for every hostage. Or every hostage’s dead body.

In a bold move reflecting strong support for Israel’s security, Keep God’s Land, a coalition of over 150 Jewish and Christian organizations, has initiated a new letter-writing campaign to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The campaign urges the Israeli leader to resist pressure from the Biden administration to accept a premature ceasefire with Hamas.
The letter emphasizes the coalition’s concerns about the “Phased Plan” announced by President Biden over the Jewish Sabbath. The coalition argues that such a plan would effectively lead to Israel’s surrender to Hamas, posing an unacceptable outcome for the Jewish State and potentially disastrous consequences for the United States.

1. IDF prepares for northern offensive against Hezbollah, general says, awaits Gaza resolution - YNET News
IDF Northern Command chief Maj. Gen. Ori Gordin said Thursday afternoon that while the army is prepared for a full-scale offensive in the north against Hezbollah aggression, such an operation will not commence until the fighting in Gaza is concluded.
"We are prepared and ready. When commanded, the enemy will face a strong and ready army," Gordin said, addressing the high tension on the northern border on during a ceremony marking 18 years since the 2006 Israel-Hezbollah war.
He added that the army "completed its General Staff preparations for a northern offensive last week" and that the soldiers and commanders on the ground are "trained and determined," and he is confident in their ability to handle any mission against the Iran-backed terrorist group. (Read more)

2. IDF continues operations in Bureij, Deir al Balah, and Rafah after new terror tunnels uncovered - Jerusalem Post
The IDF announced on Thursday that it continuing operations in the areas of eastern Bureij, eastern Deir al Balah, and Rafah.
The announcement comes in the wake of recent discoveries of new underground terror tunnel shafts and weapons in the area.
Operations are being carried out to dismantle the tunnels, the military added. Additionally, during a targeted raid on a military structure in the area, the troops located large quantities of weapons, including firearms, grenades, explosives, vests, and additional military equipment. (Read more)

3. IDF attacks terrorists ‘deep in Jenin,’ thwarts attack - JNS
The Israel Defense Forces launched an intense counterterrorism operation deep inside the Samaria city of Jenin on Thursday, arresting one Palestinian suspect under the cover of airstrikes, the military said.
“Over the past hours, soldiers of the Duvdevan and Haruv patrol units, at the direction of the Shin Bet,” the Israel Security Agency, “acted to thwart terrorism deep in Jenin in the Menashe Brigade,” the IDF tweeted.
During the raid, forces eliminated and wounded several Palestinian terrorists in exchanges of fire. Israeli troops did not suffer casualties despite being attacked with explosives, the military said. (Read more)

Speaking in English, IDF Spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari criticizes international media for “falling for Hamas’s tactics” again amid the ongoing war.
Noting the overnight airstrike on terror operatives gathered in three classrooms in a UN school in central Gaza’s Nuseirat, Hagari says “This is the fifth time we have had to target Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorists operating from inside UNRWA facilities.”
“In the last months alone, Hamas wages wars from schools and hospitals. Hamas hopes that international law and public sympathy will provide a shield for their military activities, which is why they systematically operate from schools, UN facilities, hospitals and mosques,” he says. (Read more)

5. Diminished Hamas switches to full insurgent mode in Gaza - Reuters
WASHINGTON, June 6 (Reuters) - Hamas has seen about half its forces wiped out in eight months of war and is relying on hit-and-run insurgent tactics to frustrate Israel's attempts to take control of Gaza, U.S. and Israeli officials told Reuters.
The enclave's ruling group has been reduced to between 9,000 and 12,000 fighters, according to three senior U.S. officials familiar with battlefield developments, down from American estimates of 20,000-25,000 before the conflict. By contrast, Israel says it has lost almost 300 troops in the Gaza campaign.
Hamas fighters are now largely avoiding sustained skirmishes with Israeli forces closing in on the southernmost city of Rafah, instead relying on ambushes and improvised bombs to hit targets often behind enemy lines, one of the officials said. (Read more)

In the "American Worldview Inventory 2024" (AWVI), George Barna, the director of Research at Arizona Christian University's Cultural Research Center, explained our country's "40-year drop in biblical worldview." He described an increasingly prominent shift in society, which Barna attributes to "the new morality" sweeping over all sectors of life.
Barna, who also serves as a senior fellow at Family Research Council, highlighted that within five generations, "the national incidence of adults holding a biblical worldview has plummeted from 12% to today's 4% level" -- a number expected to drop to 2% within the next 15 years.
According to the inventory data, 2024 shows "a dramatic shift in morals." For instance, the majority of adults hold that issues such as lying, abortion, gay marriage, "and the rejection of absolute moral truth" are "morally acceptable." Additionally, "Less than half of all adults embrace the Bible as their primary guide to morality." As the study made clear, "Millennials have proven to be social disruptors, reshaping the moral belief and behavior norms established by Boomers and Busters [Gen X]." And Gen Z has merely followed in their footsteps.
The research also revealed "young adults tend to form their worldview primarily through feelings and personal experiences, rather than logic and facts." 4. Investigation Reveals How CCP Interfered in US Election - The Epoch Times
The Chinese regime interfered in the U.S. 2022 midterm elections through various means, according to a declassified intelligence report and multiple private-sector investigations. The effort included a broad array of techniques orchestrated by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), including retaliation against U.S. lawmakers, the promotion of divisive content, and the impersonation of American voters online.
Noted China hawk Rep. Their total wealth reached $86.8 trillion in 2023, a 4.7 percent increase from the previous year, according to the annual World Wealth Report.

6. The Telegraph Admits COVID Shots May Have Helped Cause Over 3 Million Excess Deaths – Lifesite news
A BMJ study found that there have been over three million excess deaths in 47 countries from 2020 to 2022 and acknowledged that the COVID shots may have had ‘detrimental effects,’ the Telegraph reported.
The popular U.K. media outlet the Telegraph published a Tuesday report admitting that a recent peer-reviewed study shows COVID shots “may have helped fuel a rise in excess deaths” numbering over three million.The medical journal BMJ Public Health conducted a data analysis of 47 countries, largely in Europe and North America, which found high excess death rates for three continuous years since the outbreak of COVID-19.
“This is unprecedented and raises serious concerns,” the researchers concluded. They noted that it was “likely” that “containment measures” increased the death rate but that it is difficult to prove the fatal effects of restricted health care and economic decline.
The researchers also pointed out that the COVID shots, like the containment measures, may have had “detrimental effects that cause inferior outcomes,” especially since clinical trials have shown that recipients of the mRNA injections have shown substantially higher instances of adverse events than control groups. The Biden Administration’s foreign policy, like the Obama Administration’s, has made the world a much more dangerous place. Sending “humanitarian” aid to Hamas, the Palestinian Authority, and the Houthis knowing full well that this aid is used for weapons, and unfreezing billions of dollars for Iran has resulted in a terrorist uprising and horrible war against Israel. It has, like the Obama Administration, destabilized the Middle East and undermined peace initiatives of the Trump Administration. Moreover, Biden’s recent action giving Ukraine permission to use US-provided weapons against Russian forces has escalated an already bad situation in the Ukraine-Russian war. Iran is reportedly also close to having nukes.
Reuters reported on May 31, “Biden administration officials say the latest decision, which went into effect on Thursday, was narrowly tailored to the battle in the Kharkiv region. U.S. officials say it allows Kyiv to use U.S.-supplied weapons to fire back against Russian forces “attacking them or preparing to attack them” from across the border. That gives Ukrainians on the frontlines a green light to fire over the border at Russian forces using U.S.-supplied High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) launchers armed with Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System (GMLRS) missiles, and other weaponry, experts say.” In fact, Ukraine also received permission from Germany to use its weapons against Russia, with The Netherlands, Finland, and Poland also expressing support. Garland Warns Terror Threat on US Soil Has ‘Gone Up Enormously’ Since Oct. 7

Attorney General Merrick Garland told lawmakers that the threat level of a potential terrorist attack on U.S. soil has increased “enormously” since Hamas attacked Israel on Oct. 7.
Mr. Garland sounded the alarm on June 4 while testifying before a House Judiciary Committee hearing dedicated to investigating claims the Biden administration has politicized and weaponized the Department of Justice under his leadership.
Responding to Rep. Tom McClintock (R-Calif.) asking if there was a raised terror threat stemming from the millions of immigrants crossing the U.S. border illegally, Mr. Garland admitted that he’s “worried” about the possibility of a terrorist attack daily.
“I am worried about the possibility of a terrorist attack in the country after Oct. 7,” he told the committee. “The threat level for us has gone up enormously. Every morning, we worry about this question. We try to track anyone who might be trying to hurt the country.”
He also indicated that preventing such an attack is “a major priority for the Justice Department.”
Although Tuesday’s remark addressing threats of violence in the wake of Oct. 7 was Mr. Garland’s strongest yet, he previously warned of a rise in threats tied to the Israel-Hamas war.
“The entire Justice Department remains vigilant in our efforts to identify and respond to hate crimes, threats of violence, or related incidents, with particular attention to threats to faith communities,” he said at a news conference in October. (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

Russian Warships Will Be Deployed to Caribbean Next Week, Cuba Announces

|
Russian warships will be deployed to the Caribbean Sea next week, the Cuban foreign ministry confirmed on June 6.
The four Russian navy ships do not carry any nuclear weapons and will not present a threat to the region, Cuba’s foreign ministry said in a statement, confirming reports that cited unnamed U.S. officials.
“This visit corresponds to the historical friendly relations between Cuba and the Russian Federation and strictly adheres to the international regulations,” the communist country’s statement said, according to a translation. “None of the ships carry nuclear weapons, so their stopover in our country does not represent a threat to the region.”
The ministry’s statement added that Russian sailors will visit various Cuban government officials and places of “historical and cultural interest” and undertake other “activities.”
Russia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Defense Ministry have not issued public comments on the forthcoming visit.
The announcement out of Cuba comes one day after an unnamed U.S. official told reporters from several media outlets that Russia had plans to send combat vessels into the Caribbean region, including to its allies Cuba and Venezuela, to conduct naval exercises.

Supreme Court Rules That US Government Must Cover Native American Health Care

The Supreme Court ruled 5–4 on June 6 that the federal government will have to cover Indian tribes’ costs incurred in operating tribal health care programs.
The majority opinion in Becerra v. San Carlos Apache Tribe and Becerra v. Northern Arapaho Tribe was written by Chief Justice John Roberts, joined by all three liberal justices and one conservative.
U.S. Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Xavier Becerra was the petitioner in both cases. He appealed unfavorable rulings by lower courts.
The respondent, the San Carlos Apache Indian Tribe, is based in Arizona. The other respondent, the Northern Arapaho Tribe, is based in Wyoming.
The ruling means the U.S. government will have to pay for overhead costs related to health care that the tribes provide under a federal law intended to give Native Americans greater control.
“Aside from being inconsistent with the statute’s text, [the government’s] failure to cover contract support costs for healthcare funded by program income inflicts a penalty on tribes for opting in favor of greater self-determination,” the majority opinion states. (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

A bipartisan group of House lawmakers is commemorating the 80th anniversary of D-Day on Thursday by parachuting out of a World War II-era plane over Normandy, France, just as Allied airborne forces did on June 6, 1944.
The 10 legislators – nine Republicans and one Democrat, all veterans of the armed forces – will don World War II military uniforms and jump into Normandy from a U.S. C-47 military transport plane that was extensively used during the war.
"The fact that we're in Normandy, and you're wearing that uniform … and you're jumping from that plane that isn't what we're used to from our [service], you're stepping back in time in a way, and you're really trying to think about how many sacrifices that were made," Rep. Cory Mills, R-Fla., one of the lawmakers participating, told Fox News Digital.
"This is one of the greatest opportunities that I've had since I've been in Congress: to be able to literally recreate and reenact what they had done in 1944," he said. "And so, [what is] really going to be one of those things I think about is how many we lost and then also how lucky we truly are as Americans."
Asked what he'll be thinking about as he jumps out of the plane, Mills joked, "This is either going to be a great jump or we might not be the majority any longer."
He also noted that it's likely one of the last D-Day anniversaries that will actually have the aging veterans of that war in attendance.
Mills and his companies are part of a wider group of lawmakers that will be in Normandy along with President Biden to mark the anniversary of what's widely considered to be the turning point of the war in Europe, when Allied forces went on to defeat the Axis powers led by Germany and its leader, Adolf Hitler. Christian revival in Iran:
The answer to today's Mideast conflict

ISRAEL – The current and ongoing war is presenting Israel with a multi-front existential threat it has not seen since the 1973 Yom Kippur War.
Iran's economy would have catastrophically crashed were it not for an injection of billions of dollars following the signing of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, or JCPOA – commonly known as the "Iran nuclear deal," signed by President Barack Obama in 2015. While Iranian-funded terrorism was reined in after President Donald Trump withdrew from the JCPOA in 2018 and reinstated the economic sanctions, the situation was again reversed when President Joe Biden entered office. He pursued a renegotiated JCPOA rather than support the nation’s populace and a democratically elected government.
While he was unable to negotiate a deal with Iran which had increased its demands, Biden did remove the economic sanctions, reviving the Iranian economy. The current Iranian-sponsored conflict exploded as a result.
While the situation seems intractable and impossibly complex, there is a Gordian Knot solution that could bring peace overnight.
While it involves a revolution in Iran, it does not require violence and is, indeed, a peaceful, faith-based response. Indeed, this revolution has already begun.
A Christian revival is slowly growing in Iran. It should be remembered that until the revolution in 1979, Iran, under the Shah, was a close ally of Israel. And while Persia was an ancient culture that was historically Zoroastrian, Christianity in Iran dates back to the early years of the religion during the time of Jesus, predating Islam. Sunni Islam arrived during the Middle Ages after the Arab conquest, and then Shia Islam in the Safavid conversion of the 15th century, becoming the official religion soon after. Today, over 99% of Iranians are Muslim, with 90-95% being Shia.
