TODAY'S TOP STORY
Putin threatens strikes on new targets if West gives Ukraine long-range missiles
Russian President Vladimir Putin warned Sunday that Moscow will hit new targets if the West supplies Ukraine with long-range missiles, hours after several explosions rocked the Ukrainian capital Kyiv.

If Kyiv is provided with such missiles “we will draw the appropriate conclusions and use our arms… to strike targets we haven’t hit before,” Putin was quoted by Russian news agencies as saying.

He did not specify which targets he meant.

Putin’s comments came after the United States last week announced that it would supply Ukraine with advanced missile systems. (The Times of Israel)

FOCUS ON ISRAEL

1. PM’s Spokesperson Follows 3 Others in Exit from Bennett’s Office - Jewish Press

Prime Minister Naftali Bennett announced Monday that his spokesperson, Matan Sidi, will step down from the post.

Sidi, 26, also worked with Bennett during his terms as minister of education, and defense, and worked as spokesperson for State Comptroller Matanyahu Engelman as well.

He is to be replaced by 32-year-old Yotam Ben-Yitzhak, who is currently serving as Bennett’s political spokesperson. Ben-Yitzhak also served as spokesperson for former Likud finance minister Israel Katz.

The resignation follows similar departures by Bennett’s chief of staff, Tal Gan-Zvi, his political adviser, Shimrit Meir and his personal assistant, Naomi Sasson. (Read more)

2. Lebanon Invites US Envoy to Beirut to Discuss Maritime Dispute with Israel - Algemeiner

Lebanon’s president has agreed to invite US envoy Amos Hochstein to Beirut to continue negotiations over the demarcation of its southern maritime border with Israel, the office of the Lebanese caretaker prime minister said on Monday.

Lebanon warned Israel on Sunday against any “aggressive action” in disputed waters where both states hope to develop offshore energy, after a ship operated by London-based Energean arrived off the coast to produce gas for Israel. (Read more)

3. Israeli forces fire warning shots after Lebanese troops cross Blue Line - World Israel News

An Israel Defense Forces unit stationed on the Lebanese border in the Ramim Ridge area fired warning shots on Sunday morning after spotting Lebanese soldiers crossing the Blue Line, according to Israeli media reports. The Lebanese troops withdrew following the warning fire, and the IDF continued its operations as normal, according to Ynet.

The Blue Line, which runs for 120 kilometers along Lebanon’s southern frontier, is a “line of withdrawal” set by the United Nations in 2000 for the purpose of confirming the withdrawal of Israeli forces from south Lebanon.

This was the third time in the past seven days that the IDF and LAF came into close contact, according to the report, which cited IDF sources as saying that Lebanese “operatives” dressed in civilian clothes had accompanied LAF forces during Sunday’s incident. (Read more)

4. MK Silman to vote against Judea and Samaria law - Israel National News

MK Idit Silman will vote against the government for the first time today as she intends to vote against the extension of the law applying Israeli law in Judea and Samaria.

The Yamina party sent threats against Silman and warned it that if she threatened the survival of the coalition by voting against the Judea and Samaria law, she would be expelled from the faction in the coming days.

If Silman abstained from voting, it would allow the Bennett government to continue its activities and bring the Ra'am and left-wing parties on board to pass the law for fear of bringing down the government. (Read more)

5. Israel said considering expanded travel warning amid fears of Iranian revenge attack - Times of Israel

Israel is considering issuing travel warnings for additional countries amid concerns Iran may seek to attack Israelis traveling overseas, Channel 12 news reported Sunday.

The network, without citing a source, cited fears that Iran may see Israelis going abroad for the summer as targets for revenge attacks. The network did not specify what nations updated travel advisories could be issued for.

The report comes after the National Security Council revised its travel warning for Turkey last month, saying there was a concrete threat to Israelis by “Iranian terrorist operatives” there and in nearby countries. (Read more)

1. Supreme Court Reportedly To Demand Cellphones and Affidavits From Clerks in Leak Investigation – JONATHAN TURLEY

The Supreme Court appears to be ratcheting up its investigation into the leaking of the draft opinion in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health OrganizationAccording to CNN, the Court is asking clerks to provide cell phone records and sign affidavits. Some of us have been surprised by Chief Justice John Roberts’ decision not to ask for assistance from the FBI, which is the world’s leading law enforcement agency on computer and forensic investigations. Yet, the affidavits may come with the most worrisome change for the leaker. Once signed, the leaker will reaffirm his or her potential criminal liability.

The cellphone records raise obvious privacy concerns. Communications with Politico or intermediaries can be masked or concealed as casual or personal exchanges. An email entitled “Leaked Confidential Dobbs Draft” is not likely to exist. That means that any meaningful review would require a broader review, creating challenges in how to filter messages and emails. The affidavit may be a greater concern for the leaker. After all, the leaker may have wisely avoided using the cellphone or creating digital tracks. The affidavit is a sworn statement to federal investigators. If false, it would establish that a federal crime has been committed. Under 18 U.S.C. 1001, it is a federal crime to knowingly and willfully make a materially false, fictitious, or fraudulent statement in any matter within the jurisdiction of the executive, legislative, or judicial branch of the United States. While there were possible criminal claims that could have been brought based on the leak, this makes such criminality clear and undeniable.

- Lord, we pray that You will reveal the leaker who used their position to attempt to sway the court. Let no innocent person be targeted, but let only the guilty one be found.

- “God is a righteous judge, and a God who feels indignation every day.”          (Psalm 7:11)

2. MSNBC Devoted Air Time to Hail Women Who Perform Abortions as 'Heroes' (townhall.com)

The women of MSNBC would like you to know that they support killing babies, and even pride themselves for saluting the illegal performance of underground abortions.
Over the weekend, the woke liberal network aired 15 minutes of promotional time to gushing over a new movie called The Janes, which support “female heroes of history” that carried out over 10,000 illegal abortions in Chicago in 1973, five years prior to Roe v. Wade.
Host Andrea Mitchell paraded these women as “deeply moral women who wanted to save lives.”
Despite killing thousands of them while doing so.
Mitchell continued to say that these women deserve a “platform” for performing abortions. Because yes, they are certainly the type of “heroes” you want your kids to look up to.
The co-director of the film Tia Lessin, told Mitchell that banning abortions will lead to the death of many women.
“It may mean death sentences for many people who won't be able to access, you know, affordable or safe, legal abortion care. You know, what we know and what we found in this film is when abortion is criminalized, it doesn't mean that women don't have abortions. It just means that they don't have access to safe abortions.”

- Lord, the lies pushed by these women are an abomination. Too many people are listening to them. We ask that You open the truth to everyone, but if they refuse to turn from their wickedness, remove them.

- “No ill befalls the righteous, but the wicked are filled with trouble.” (Prov. 12:21)

3. ‘Jane Says Revenge’: Crisis Pregnancy Center Reportedly Vandalized, Splattered With Red Paint | The Daily Caller

A crisis pregnancy center in Washington, D.C., was allegedly vandalized and splattered with red paint.

The Capitol Hill Crisis Pregnancy Center, which was also marked with the words, “Jane Says Revenge” in graffiti, was allegedly vandalized between Thursday and Friday, the Daily Signal reported Friday. Janet Durig, the center’s executive director said she was made aware of the incident after receiving a phone call from a neighbor, the outlet indicated. Durig said she called the police after learning of the alleged vandalism.

In addition to the graffiti and red paint, the center’s windows also appeared to have been egged, according to photos posted to Twitter by Daily Wire D.C. Correspondent Mary Margaret Olohan.

- Lord, we ask Your protection over all organizations who work in Your Name to save the unborn. Give them all wisdom, and the knowledge of what may be about to transpire against them. Let them all hear Your voice in power.

- “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.” (John 10:27)

4. Biden threatens to starve schools that don't adopt trans agenda (washingtonexaminer.com)

President Joe Biden’s Pride Month 2022 proclamation condemned “an onslaught of dangerous anti-LGBTQI+ legislation” introduced and passed in multiple states, which he claims targets transgender children.
“Today, the rights of LGBTQI+ Americans are under relentless attack. Members of the LGBTQI+ community — especially people of color and trans people — continue to face discrimination and cruel, persistent efforts to undermine their human rights,” he said . “We condemn the dangerous State laws and bills that target LGBTQI+ youth.”
“Anti-LGBTQI+” legislation refers to bills passed in states such as Arizona, Oklahoma, and Alabama, which mandate students to play on sports teams that align with their biological sex or ban “gender reassignment” surgeries and hormone blockers for adolescents under 18.
The Biden administration is backing its words with actions. Earlier this month, the Department of Agriculture announced that it would interpret Title IX to include sexual orientation and gender identity. This means schools will also be subject to this definition and that certain federally funded programs, such as school lunches, will be tied to it.
Schools that fail to follow the administration’s lead on transgender issues such as sports and bathrooms stand to lose billions, The Center Square reported . This may put schools in states with bills protecting women’s spaces and sports in a difficult position, as state law and requirements of federal funding conflict. South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem already said on Twitter that she would take action in court if Biden follows through.

- Lord, we pray that You will stop this insidious action against our children and the states in which they reside. Let nothing this administration does cause these underprivileged ones to lose their lunches or be forced into bathrooms that may hold dangers.

- “For he satisfies the longing soul, and the hungry soul he ills with good things.”           (Psalm 107: 9)

5. Abbott's baby formula plant in Michigan is reopening : NPR

Abbott says it's restarting the production of infant formula at its Sturgis, Mich., plant in a step that could ease a nationwide formula shortage in the coming weeks.
The facility was forced to close in February after a bacterial contamination was found in the company's formula products. Several babies were sickened and two died after consuming formula made at the plant.
The closure intensified ongoing supply shortages of baby formula in the U.S. To help alleviate the scarcity, the Biden administration has been importing formula from abroad in recent weeks.
Abbott's specialty formula EleCare will be available to consumers beginning on or about June 20, the company says. EleCare is formulated for infants with allergies to cow milk.
Abbott, one of the largest of the few formula makers in the U.S., was cleared to restart production the Michigan facility after meeting initial FDA requirements.

- Lord, we thank You that the Abbott factory has been restarted. We pray that they will be able to quickly produce the needed formulas for the babies in America. We ask You to cover the babies who could not get proper nutrition with Your Blood and Your power to prevent any further evil effects from this shortage.

- “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you.” (Jeremiah 29:11)

6. Jan. 6 Committee Adviser: No ‘Smoking Gun’ Showing Trump Planned US Capitol Breach (theepochtimes.com)

A former top adviser to the House committee investigating the Jan. 6 Capitol breach admitted Sunday there was no “smoking gun” that suggested President Donald Trump planned the breach.
Denver Riggleman, a former Republican House representative, had recently been a senior adviser to the panel. He told CNN’s “State of the Union” Sunday that there was no direct evidence that suggested the breach and protests outside the Capitol were premeditated.
CNN’s Jake Tapper asked the former lawmaker whether there is a “smoking gun” that “proves that Donald Trump or somebody around him knew that what happened January 6 was not a spontaneous outcry by his supporters, but was a planned attempt to get them to stop counting the electoral votes?”
“That probably [was] going to be very difficult to even find based on the limited authorities of Congress as far as getting data and things like that,” Riggleman ultimately conceded to CNN. However, he claimed later in the interview that the panel will reveal alleged nefarious actions carried out by Trump, although he didn’t make any specific claims.

- Lord, we thank You that the Jan 6 committee has so far come up empty. We pray that You will stop this insane witch hunt over an “insurrection” that never occurred.

- “But let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.”  (Amos 5: 24)

7. Census Bureau Sued Over ‘Intrusive’ Annual Survey Questions (theepochtimes.com)

Two U.S. citizens have filed a class-action lawsuit against the Census Bureau, claiming the long, detailed American Community Survey the agency requires millions to complete each year is illegal.
The lawsuit comes as the U.S. Census Bureau comes under fire for significant miscounts in the 2020 census, with population numbers in six states being undercounted, while eight states saw an overcount in population. Republicans say the botched census count unfairly prevented Florida and Texas from each gaining a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives.
President Donald Trump tried to prevent the counting of illegal aliens so they wouldn’t have an effect on the apportionment of political power among the states. The Supreme Court sided with him on Dec. 28, 2020, allowing the Trump administration to attempt to carry out its policy as the deadline for census figures was approaching. But on the day he was inaugurated, President Joe Biden signed Executive Order 13986, which reversed the Trump policy.
The 22-page legal complaint (pdf) in the new case, Murphy v. Raimondo, 3:22-cv-5377, was filed on May 24 in Tacoma in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington. The case has been assigned to U.S. District Judge David G. Estudillo, who was appointed in September of last year by Biden.

- Lord, many of the questions on this American Community Survey are indeed intrusive into private matters. We pray that this lawsuit will put a stop to it.

- “Hide me from the secret plots of the wicked, from the throng of evildoers.”    (Psalm 64:2)

 8. Summers: Push for Central Banks to Focus on 'Remote' Climate Risk Is Attempt to Pass Climate Legislation 'Through the Back Door' (breitbart.com)

During an interview aired on Friday’s broadcast of Bloomberg’s “Wall Street Week,” Harvard Professor, economist, Director of the National Economic Council under President Barack Obama, and Treasury Secretary under President Bill Clinton Larry Summers stated that even though there’s a movement for central banks “to start focusing on what they call climate risks, as if those were central, systemic financial risks” such systemic financial risks are “quite remote” and much of the enthusiasm is “from people who couldn’t legislate things about climate through the front door and so they want to try to legislate them through the back door, through central bank regulatory policies.”

Summers stated, “I think that people should make investments largely on the basis of what the ultimate prospects are. I think the problem comes when people who really have an environmental motivation try to attach an economic motivation and make economic arguments that aren’t really very strong. I think there’s been a whole movement in the central banking community to start focusing on what they call climate risks, as if those were central, systemic financial risks. And I don’t think the evidence has ever been produced that genuine concern about systemic financial risk of the kind we had in 2008 during the crisis, of the kind that reared its head in the immediate aftermath of COVID, that that is something that is likely to come from climate issues. It seems to me to be a quite remote risk.”

- Lord, this climate agenda is causing great harm to our nation and to Your people. We pray that You will unravel every thread of this evil web until it all disappears. And then may all who have  subscribed to the lies be brought to their knees.

- ‘”For it is written, “As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.”  (Romans 14:11)

9. Pentagon’s Vaccine Mandate Challenged in Class-Action Lawsuit (theepochtimes.com)

About 20 years ago, attorney and former Marine Corps Capt. Dale Saran defended service members involved in a fight against the Pentagon’s mandatory anthrax vaccination program. While Saran lost the case in military court, the case eventually made its way to a federal court, which issued a permanent injunction in 2004, bringing the mandatory anthrax vaccination program to an end.
Now he’s come to the legal defense of troops in their fight against the U.S. military’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate.
On May 23, Saran filed a lawsuit in the Eastern District of Texas, alleging that the Pentagon’s vaccine mandate issued by Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin on Aug. 24, 2021, is unconstitutional and therefore unlawful.
He told The Epoch Times the lawsuit was filed “more pointedly against the Federal Drug Administration’s [FDA] choice to illegally ignore the Public Health Service Act,” specifically 42 U.S.C. § 262 governing the regulation of biologics—which includes viruses or vaccines “applicable to the prevention, treatment, or cure of a disease or condition of human beings.”
“The heart of the claim is that these are not vaccines,” Saran told The Epoch Times. “They don’t have any live virus in them; the only thing that makes them even remotely related to a vaccine is the route of administration—a shot through a needle.”

- Lord, we pray that this lawsuit will be properly litigated, and the entire plans of the Secretary of Defense to continue to force our military to be vaccinated will be dropped.

- “When justice is done, it is a joy to the righteous but terror to evildoers.”  (Proverbs 21:15)

10. Owo Church Attack Kills Dozens of Nigerian Catholics on Pe...... | News & Reporting | Christianity Today

Terrorists launched a gun and bomb attack at the end of a Catholic Mass in southwest Nigeria on Sunday, killing an estimated 70 worshipers according to residents and church leaders.
The terrorists attacked the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Owo, Ondo state, at about 9 a.m., church leaders and residents told Morning Star News (MSN) in text messages shortly after the attack.
A priest at the church, Andrew Abayomi, told MSN that as the worship service was coming to an end, the terrorists threw explosive devices and shot at worshipers.
“We were in worship Mass when the terrorists attacked us. They shot at the congregation while breaking into the church by throwing improvised explosive devices at the church building,” Abayomi said. “Some of us hid inside the church as they shot randomly at us. This lasted for about 20 minutes before they retreated.”

-  Lord, we pray for Your mercy over the Christians and Catholics in Nigeria. Let their hearts turn to You in this time of grief. We bind the actions of the Muslim Jihadists, as well as bind and rebuke the demonic powers that seek to destroy Your people. In the Mighty Name of Jesus and by the power and authority of His Blood we say NO MORE KILLING.

- “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” (Ephesians 6:12)

Biden's State Dept Gives Pass On Christian Persecution

The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, June 6, 2022

Nigeria is notorious for persecuting Christians. The Islamic terrorist group Boko Haram and its franchise tribe, the Fulani, are given full reign to persecute Christians. Moreover, the Biden State Department gives Nigeria a pass when it comes to Christian persecution. In its Annual Report on International Religious Freedom, State reported: “the level of insecurity and violence increased, including in the predominantly Muslim North West, where expanded numbers of criminal groups carried out thousands of killings, kidnappings, and armed robberies.  Because issues of religion, ethnicity, land and resource competition, and criminality are often closely linked, it was difficult to categorize many incidents as being solely, or even principally, based on religious identity.”  Further ,the Secretary of State concluded that Nigeria didn’t meet the criteria for religious persecution.

In over 30 years of ministry work in Ghana, West Africa, Nigeria’s neighbor, my partner William Agbeti and I have witnessed first-hand the persecution of Christians by the Islamic Fulani that migrated from Nigeria. Agbeti writes in response to the State Department report: “The issue of organized Islamic extremism spreading throughout West Africa, not excluding Ghana, is real. Their modus operandi for achieving such goals are to seize lands, forcefully occupy the lands and ruthlessly deal with any opposition to their mission. The extent they go to instill fear includes but not limited to murder, injury, destruction of whole towns, houses, farms, rape and forceful ejections. Any reports that indicate any findings to the contrary are either suspect or simply based on lack of in-depth knowledge about what’s going on.” Read More

Why Christian nationalism is suddenly at the forefront
If you were at the center of a religious crusade, do you think you’d be able to detect it?
I ask because it’s becoming increasingly clear that the United States is under siege by Christian fundamentalists and traditionalists
The reported text exchanges between then-Trump White House chief of staff Mark Meadows and Virginia "Ginni" Thomas, the right-wing activist and wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, gave us a window into the conservative movement’s religious push to remake America in its conservative, Christian image.
As he was exploring ways to overturn the 2020 election, Meadows reportedly texted Thomas, “This is a fight of good versus evil,” going on to say, “Evil always looks like the victor until the King of Kings triumphs.”
Keep in mind that this was a man working to undermine millions of Americans’ right to vote — and in God's name no less. That gall shouldn’t surprise you. We’re witnessing an exposure of white, Christian nationalism in this country like never before in modern history. And in recent years, we’ve heard some of the most antidemocratic and violent voices from that movement take more prominent roles in their push for power. (MSNBC) Read more here.
- Lord this article that appeared on MSNBC is indicative of what the left thinks about us. They do not know You and they hate us. You warned us this would happen. We pray for wisdom and faith to navigate what appears to be a concerted effort to destroy Your people.

“O you who love the Lord, hate evil! He preserves the lives of his saints; he delivers them from the hand of the wicked.” (Psalm 97:10)

NASA Partners with Industry for New Spacewalking, Moonwalking Services

NASA has selected Axiom Space and Collins Aerospace to advance spacewalking capabilities in low-Earth orbit and at the Moon, by buying services that provide astronauts with next generation spacesuit and spacewalk systems to work outside the International Space Station, explore the lunar surface on Artemis missions, and prepare for human missions to Mars.

The awards leverage NASA expertise with commercial innovation to support continued science at the orbiting laboratory and long-term human exploration at the Moon under Artemis, including landing the first woman and first person of color on the lunar surface.

“With these awards, NASA and our partners will develop advanced, reliable spacesuits that allow humans to explore the cosmos unlike ever before,” said Vanessa Wyche, director of NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston. “By partnering with industry, we are efficiently advancing the necessary technology to keep Americans on a path of successful discovery on the International Space Station and as we set our sights on exploring the lunar surface.”

The companies selected were chosen from the Exploration Extravehicular Activity Services (xEVAS) contract solicitation. The contract enables selected vendors to compete for task orders for missions that will provide a full suite of capabilities for NASA’s spacewalking needs during the period of performance through 2034. The indefinite delivery and indefinite quantity, milestone-based xEVAS contract has a combined maximum potential value of $3.5 billion for all task order awards. The first task orders to be competed under the contract will include the development and services for the first demonstration outside the space station in low-Earth orbit and for the Artemis III lunar landing. The Good News Corner
Arizona AG prosecutes ballot harvesters, as GOP state lawmakers push to ban drop boxes
In Arizona, Republican politicians are continuing to investigate irregularities that marred the 2020 presidential election as state Attorney General Mark Brnovich prosecutes ballot harvesters and state legislators vow to ban ballot drop boxes. Brnovich announced Thursday that Guillermina Fuentes, a former Democratic mayor of San Luis and current school board member, has pled guilty to ballot harvesting during the August 2020 primary election.

Fuentes, who serves on the board of the Gadsden Elementary School District, was part of a ballot harvesting scheme in Yuma County in which early ballots were collected from voters and dropped off at a ballot box on primary election day. Fuentes "knowingly collect[ed] ballots from another person, and those early ballots belonged to individuals for whom I am not a family member, household member, or caregiver," she admitted, according to the attorney general's office.

Ballot harvesting is a class 6 felony in Arizona, meaning that Fuentes will lose her ability to vote and must leave elected office. The former mayor was indicted in December 2020 with Alma Juarez, who pled guilty in March to ballot harvesting. Fuentes admitted to later providing the early ballots to Juarez.

As part of the plea agreement with Fuentes, prosecutors dropped three additional felony charges — one each of conspiracy and forgery and another for ballot harvesting — that were added last October. According to investigation records obtained by the news wire from the attorney general's office, less than a dozen ballots could be linked to the former mayor. Fuentes is due to be sentenced on June 30, and Juarez's sentencing is scheduled for June 16. (Read more)

The Love of God

Words and Music: Frederick Lehman

Scripture: Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Romans 8:35

Lyrics:
The love of God is greater far
Than tongue or pen
Can ever tell
It goes beyond
The highest star
And reaches to
The lowest hell
The guilty pair
Bowed down with care
God gave his son to win
His erring child
He reconciled
And pardoned from his sin

Oh love of God
How rich and pure
How measureless and strong
It shall forevermore endure
The saints and angels song

Could we with ink
The ocean fill
And were the skies
Of parchment made
Were every stalk on earth a quill
And every man a scribe by trade
To write the love of God above
Would drain the ocean dry
Nor could the scroll contain the whole
Though stretched from sky to sky

Oh love of God
How rich and pure
How measureless and strong
It shall forevermore endure
The saints and angels song
