Federal Judge Blocks Rule Requiring Employers to Accommodate Employee Abortions

A federal judge in Louisiana has blocked enforcement of a rule in two states that required employers to provide accommodations to employees who want to undergo elective abortions, with the judge siding with plaintiffs who argued that abortions aren’t “medical conditions” that employers must facilitate.

U.S. District Judge David Joseph announced the ruling in an order filed on June 17 at the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana, granting a preliminary injunction in a lawsuit against the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), which he found exceeded its authority in implementing the rule.

The EEOC “exceeded its statutory authority” in issuing the rule and “unlawfully expropriated the authority of Congress and encroached upon the sovereignty of the States Plaintiffs,” wrote Judge Joseph.

The temporary relief, which applies to Louisiana and Mississippi until a final judgment is entered in the case, blocks the EEOC from initiating any investigation into claims that a covered employer failed to accommodate an elective abortion that is not necessary to treat a medical condition related to the pregnancy.

The injunction also prevents the EEOC from taking any action that would allow employees to pursue legal action against their employers for not accommodating elective abortions.

The EEOC did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the preliminary injunction.

The order is a consequence of two consolidated lawsuits, one brought by the attorneys general of Louisiana and Mississippi, and the other by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, Catholic University, and two Catholic dioceses. (The Epoch Times) Please go here to read the lawsuit.

- Abba, the Biden regime is trying to force everyone to accept the concept of abortion being a normal part of a woman's healthcare and forcing companies to pay for this obviously "optional" medical procedure.  We ask Holy Spirit to intervene in all lawsuits filed, bring Your vision of "new life" into all considerations, blocking the enemies intentions of "paid for" on demand abortions.  Father God, we ask you to send out Your warrior angels to fight this battle in the heavenlies bringing victory in the courts and glory to Your name!  Jesus, move on the minds and hearts of all in the judiciary who will hear these cases, draw their hearts to You as they see with new eyes and believe with a new heart of flesh.  We ask this in the name Jehovah Sabaoth, The Host of Heaven's Armies.

DOJ Charges Texas Doctor Who Exposed ‘Gender-Affirming’ Care for Minors

The Department of Justice (DOJ) on Monday unsealed an indictment against Dr. Eithan Haim, who last year leaked evidence of cross-sex hormone procedures being performed at a Texas hospital despite the facility claiming to have halted them, with the surgeon facing four felony counts for alleged violations of a medical-records law that could land him in prison for up to 10 years.

The DOJ announced on June 17 that it had charged Dr. Haim for obtaining protected individual health information for patients who were not under his care, allegedly acting without authorization and with intent to cause malicious harm to Texas Children’s Hospital (TCH).
The controversy centers on the fact that TCH, the largest children’s hospital in the country, publicly declared in March 2022 that it was halting “hormone-related prescription therapies for gender-affirming services” for minors, citing potential legal and criminal liability after Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton declared that prescription of puberty blockers was “child abuse” under Texas law.

Documents leaked by Dr. Haim purportedly showed that the hospital continued to perform some “gender-affirming” therapies after the announcement, including one procedure on an 11-year-old three days after it made the declaration.
Ultimately, Texas legislators adopted a ban on sex-change procedures and puberty blocker prescriptions for children, which went into effect in mid-2023 after a legal challenge. TCH declared that year that it would no longer offer any transgender medical procedures for children. (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

Alarming discovery of Iran nuclear activity could ‘upend’ US assessment of weapons capability: expert
Iran is 'building the assembly line' for a nuclear weapon

U.S. and Israeli officials will hold a meeting at the White House on Thursday to discuss Iran's nuclear program after intelligence agencies discovered concerning information about Iran's capabilities, Axios reported Tuesday.

U.S. and Israeli intelligence agencies reportedly uncovered information about a computer modeling program Iran has acquired that could be used to assist in developing nuclear weapons. The purpose of the program remains unclear, with officials reportedly split on whether it is innocuous or it represents further nuclear ambition in Iran.

"For years now the intelligence community has assessed Iran is not actively working to build a nuclear weapon, that it might be building out the assembly line for fissile material but that we had no indication of active weaponization work. If true, this would upend that assessment and suggest Iran has a shorter runway to a bomb than previously reported," said Richard Goldberg, senior adviser at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, a Washington-based nonpartisan national security think tank.

Goldberg, who worked as director for Countering Iranian Weapons of Mass Destruction for the White House National Security Council from 2019 to 2020, criticized President Biden's administration for rolling back the "maximum pressure" policies of former President Trump. He argues that Iran is "building the assembly line right in front of us" for a bomb.

Trump's administration had focused on limiting Iran's ability to produce the weapons-grade uranium needed for a bomb. Goldberg says Iran has all but secured that ability under the Biden administration. Nevertheless, the weaponization process takes time.

"The administration pegged that to be around 18 months while the Israelis said a year or less. But if weaponization work is already going on, if the computer modeling is already being perfected, that timeline may be far shorter," Goldberg said. (Fox News) Read more here.

- Abba, the Biden regime continues to ignore the truth of Iran's nuclear intentions.  We ask for Your truth to change the minds of those making strategic decisions about Iran, bring them to a place of understanding how Iran sees us as a nation, how they have no fear of us. Father God, we ask You to send out Your warrior angels to fight this battle in the heavenlies, stop all demonic inroads into our government, into our culture.  Let those who are called by Your name declare, ENOUGH!  Give us courage to not only pray but to speak and to act as your disciples did even when it meant being scourged or put in jail.  Give us vision to know when and where to speak, show us Your path when you call us to "go and do". We ask this in the name Jehovah Shalom, God Our Peace.

- "Be strong and courageous.  Do not be
afraid of them, for the Lord your
God goes with you; he will never leave
         you nor forsake you."
(Deuteronomy 31:6)
FOCUS ON ISRAEL

1. Nasrallah says ‘no place’ in Israel would be safe in war, threatens to target Cyprus - Times of Israel

The head of Lebanon’s Hezbollah terror group said Wednesday that nowhere in Israel would be safe if a full-fledged war breaks out between the two foes, while also threatening Cyprus and other parts of the Mediterranean.

Speaking at a ceremony commemorating slain Hezbollah senior commander Taleb Abdullah, who was killed in an Israeli airstrike in southern Lebanon last week alongside three other operatives, Nasrallah commented on the escalating conflict with the Jewish state, and said the Shiite terror group does not want “total war” but is only acting in support of Hamas.

Hezbollah has been attacking northern Israel since October 8, leading to Israeli reprisals and an escalating conflict Israel has increasingly warned could spark open war.

2. Amid multiplying spats, Netanyahu urges coalition partners to ‘get a grip’ - Times of Israel

Facing a growing number of high-profile spats involving members of his coalition, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called Wednesday for his political partners to “get a grip” and abandon “petty politics.”

Netanyahu’s appeal came after his Likud party engaged in a high-profile quarrel with Otzma Yehudit leader Itamar Ben Gvir, whom it accused of leaking “state secrets,” and amid intense ultra-Orthodox anger at the premier’s decision to drop his backing for a controversial municipal rabbis appointments bill sought by the Shas party.

Meanwhile, Economy Minister Nir Barkat drove a further wedge by announcing Wednesday he would not back the current form of another contentious bill dealing with the army draft for the Haredi community — the latest among several Likud officials to say the bill must undergo changes that will likely be unacceptable to the ultra-Orthodox.

3. Rafah homes used to conceal terror tunnels - World Israel News

Israel’s months-long insistence on the need to clear out Rafah as the last military stronghold of Hamas has been vindicated as the IDF has penetrated deeper and deeper into the city over the last six weeks.

“The number of tunnels in this sector is the largest I have seen in the Strip,” Nahal Brigade commander Col. Yair Zuckerman told a contingent of Israeli journalists Tuesday who had been brought into the town on the Egyptian-Gazan border.

“There is almost no home without a tunnel,” he said, with passageways that connect whole neighborhoods both above ground and beneath.

“It’s not right to skip over them. We need to take care of them now, while we are here,” he added. (Read more)

4. Israel rejects UN official’s explanation for leaving Hamas’s use of human shields out of report - JNS

The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Jewish state’s mission to the United Nations reacted harshly to a U.N. official’s claim that a limited word count was responsible for the exclusion of Hamas’s usage of human shields from a controversial blacklist that included Israel.

Virginia Gamba, special representative to U.N. Secretary-General António Guterres for children and armed conflict, briefed reporters last Thursday about the annual Children and Armed Conflict report, which is also known as the “list of shame.”

JNS asked Gamba why the report she compiled contained only one sentence on Hamas’s use of human shields, which is central to the terrorist group’s military strategy and to understanding the casualty toll of Gazan children in Israel’s war against Hamas.

“If we put everything in the annual report on every situation, it will have at least 1,000 pages,” Gamba told JNS. “We have to choose very carefully what makes it to the report or not, if the figures must go there, as much context as possible.” (Read more)

5. Macron demands schools address antisemitism after Jewish girl raped - Reuters

PARIS, June 19 (Reuters) - President Emmanuel Macron on Wednesday asked schools to hold a "discussion hour" on racism and antisemitism this week, after the rape of a Jewish girl in a Paris suburb added to France's charged social climate ahead of elections.

Three teenagers were arrested this week following a complaint from a 12-year-old girl from Courbevoie, west of Paris, who told police she had been gang-raped while being insulted with antisemitic slurs, the Nanterre public prosecution office said.

The investigation centres on charges of rape, death threats and assault among other crimes, with an alleged religious motivation cited as aggravating factors. (Read more

1. White House enraged after Netanyahu publicly slams Biden for withholding arms - World Israel News

The Biden administration cancelled a high-level meeting planned between U.S. and Israeli officials on Iran this week, after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu publicly accused the White House of withholding American military aid during the ongoing war with Hamas.

In a rare open criticism of the White House, Netanyahu released a video statement Tuesday, disclosing details of his conversation with Secretary of State Antony Blinken, during Blinken’s recent visit to Israel.

Netanyahu said the two had a “candid” conversation regarding the ongoing war and disagreements between Jerusalem and Washington, adding that he had expressed his frustrations with the Biden administration’s decision to hold back military aid to Israel.
“When Secretary Blinken was recently here in Israel, we had a candid conversation,” Netanyahu said. “I said I deeply appreciated the support the U.S. has given Israel from the beginning of the war.” (Read more)

- Lord God we pray over the Biden administration that they would be people of their word to help Israel and Netanyahu. We come against all bribery, lies, and deceit that could be trying to manipulate and control the situation in Jesus name. Lord give Biden wisdom and discernment to do what’s best for our nation and Israel in Jesus name. Amen.

2. Texas megachurch pastor resigns after woman says he sexually abused her in the 1980s - AP News

The pastor of a Texas megachurch has resigned after a woman said he had sexually abused her on multiple occasions in the 1980s, beginning when she was 12.

Gateway Church’s board of elders said in a statement Tuesday that they’d accepted the resignation of Robert Morris, the church’s senior pastor and founder. The board said it had hired a law firm to to conduct an independent review to make sure they “have a complete
understanding of the events” from 1982 to 1987.

The allegations came to light Friday on the religious watchdog blog The Wartburg Watch. Cindy Clemishire, Morris’ accuser, told The Dallas Morning News in an interview Saturday that she met Morris in 1981, when he was a traveling preacher and began preaching at her family’s church in Oklahoma. She said Morris and his wife and young son became close to her family. She said he was staying at her house in 1982 when he asked her to come to his room. He told her to lay on his bed and then began touching her inappropriately, said Clemishire, now 54. (Read more)

We come against all attacks of the enemy on pastors and churches, and we break their powers right now in Jesus Christ's name. We pray Lord, that you would speak to each pastor's heart, that each pastor would reject his own agenda, and choose to faithfully commit himself to you, and to your Word. In Jesus' name, amen.

3. IDF generals approve battle plan for all-out war with Lebanon - World Israel News

The head of the IDF’s Northern Command Maj. Gen. Ori Gordin and Operations Directorate Chief Maj. Gen. Oded Basiuk approved battle plans, should Israel engage in an all-out war with Lebanon. After nearly daily strikes on the border between Lebanon and Israel, the IDF has created a battle plan should diplomacy between Israel and Lebanon fail.

The IDF announced that “operational plans for an offensive in Lebanon were approved” and it was “accelerating the readiness of the forces on the ground.” Recently, Hezbollah attacks against Israel have been escalating, and to add to the threat, the terror group published drone footage from strategic sites in northern Israel on Tuesday.

The footage from reconnaissance drones, which lasted roughly 10 minutes, showed the port of Haifa, an Israeli naval base, and other crucial sites. Hezbollah has increased the number of explosive-laden drones sent into Israel, some of which have sparked destructive wildfires. On Tuesday, Israel’s military shot down Hezbollah drones over Western Galilee. (Read more)

We come against all anti-semitism, division, and confusion and break their powers now in Jesus' name. Give Netanyahu and his advisors wisdom to make war and the courage to do what is right. In Jesus' name we offer this prayer, amen.

- “You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places.” (Matthew 24:6,7)

4. NWS Issues Heat Alerts for Midwest, mid-Atlantic, and Northeast - Presidential Prayer Team

The National Weather Service (NWS) forecasted high temperatures in the Midwest, mid-Atlantic, and Northeast this week. Officials issued heat warnings or watches for over 70 million Americans living between New York and Illinois as they could experience heat surpassing 90 degrees much of the week. The National Weather Service recommended taking the necessary cooling precautions.

Officials encourage at-risk people to stay hydrated, wear light, loose-fitting clothing, and exercise caution when engaging in outdoor activities. Several metropolitan areas have opened cooling centers for the public. Older adults, young children, pregnant women, and those with chronic conditions are at greater risk of experiencing heat stroke. 6. Senate GOP prevents vote on bump stock ban after SCOTUS reverses Trump-era rule - Fox News

Sen. Pete Ricketts, R-Neb., blocked a Democratic attempt on Tuesday to force a vote in the Senate on a bump stock ban, which would restore the federal rule recently struck down by the Supreme Court. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., revealed on Sunday that Democrats would attempt to force a vote on legislation to ban bump stocks, which are firearm accessories that assist in firing weapons in more rapid succession.

"The Senate can help restore this public safety rule, and next week, it will try. As majority leader, I have the ability to allow a unanimous consent vote, and we’ll see just what Republican MAGAs do: Will they allow it to go forward, or will they cower to MAGA and hurt the American people?" he said during a news conference, reported by CBS News.

The Supreme Court ruled last week 6-3 to strike down a federal rule put in place during the Trump administration that banned bump stocks. The court's decision prompted backlash from Democrats. (Read more)

Guide our paths and let us never stray from the truth, In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Stupidocrisy: Wind-Up Toys In Leadership

The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, June 19, 2024

Uncle Al’s Toys (unclealstoys.com) says wind-up toys originated in the ancient civilizations of Greece, Rome and China. The website says, “In Greece and Rome, toys were often made of wood or metal and were powered by simple mechanisms such as springs or weights. The Chinese, on the other hand, were renowned for their intricate automata, which were powered by water and used to entertain emperors and nobles.” The site also says that modern wind-up toys are made from plastic instead of metal and even incorporate electronic components, concluding, “Regardless of age, watching a wind-up toy come to life remains a magical wonder that captivates us for generations.” How similar to modern American leadership.

Take Joe Biden for example. He seems to be powered by simple mechanisms. And he is quite entertaining to the Chinese. Some would consider his robotic movement, ever-present smile, and limited vocabulary as “plastic.” While you may get a chuckle out of this comparison, it’s really not funny. He is the leader of what’s left of the free world. He can hardly put two words together and zones out a lot in public. Just to kind of imagine how dangerous this is to national security, he seems to have no reaction to Chinese spy balloons or Russian nuclear submarines off the coast of Florida. Yet he pressures Israel to make peace with the terrorists who brutally attacked Israeli men, women and children. Read More

U.S. House moves to declare Pelosi's partisan Jan. 6 committee illegitimate

Proposal would rescind subpoenas for Steve Bannon, Peter Navarro

Republican members of the U.S. House are moving to nullify the entirety of ex-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's partisan committee that "investigated" the Jan. 6, 2021, protest at the U.S. Capitol, where a few hundreds of people rioted.

The Gateway Pundit reports some two dozen members are sponsoring a resolution that would designate the committee and its work illegitimate and cancel the subpoenas it issued during its time in the spotlight.

It explains that's significant because it would be, "Rescinding the subpoenas issued by the January 6th Select Committee on September 23, 2021, October 6, 2021, and February 9, 2022, and withdrawing the recommendations finding Stephen K. Bannon, Mark Randall Meadows, Daniel Scavino, Jr., and Peter K. Navarro in contempt of Congress," the resolution reads.

Navarro already is serving jail time on the basis of that committee's demands, and Bannon is ordered to report within weeks.

The committee was partisan because Pelosi allowed only committee members she wanted to be a part. The nominees from the then-GOP minority were refused. And the committee essentially edited and orchestrated witnesses and testimony to try to pin blame on President Donald Trump for that day.

That was when his fans rallied in Washington, and a few thousand went to the Capitol, where Congress was formalizing Joe Biden as the presidential race winner.

A few hundred rioted, breaking windows and vandalizing. One protester was shot and killed at point blank range by a police officer who did not even issue a warning first.

They were protesting what they perceived as a faulty election.. . (World Net Daily) Read more here.

- Father God in heaven, this has been a LONG ordeal, but in the end -- praise God -- TRUTH is winning! We thank You for this move by a Republican-controlled Congress, to disband the previous J6 Committee, preparing the way for a new committee to be formed that will operate in truth.

We pray now, too, for the many J6 prisoners who have been incarcerated during the entire ordeal. We ask that Your hand of mercy would rest upon each one, as will now be done for Peter Navarro and Steve Bannon. PRAISE THE LORD.

Hike Through Ancient Roman and Biblical History in Turkey’s Rugged Mountains
In southern Turkey, an extensive new trail network spirits trekkers to Pisidia, home to many lost treasures and a true crossroads of civilizations.

We set off along the trail through the Yazili Canyon on a warm October morning, ascending through the foothills of the Taurus Mountains, north of the Turkish coastal city of Antalya. Clusters of pines and gnarled olive trees clung to the walls of the gorge, and lichen-covered boulders blocked stretches of the footpath. One hundred feet below, the icy Aksu River, known in ancient times as the Kestros, coursed toward the Mediterranean Sea. To the north rose the Taurus range, ascending to 12,000 feet, with pine-cloaked hills receding into ridges enveloped in a bluish haze.

Lutgarde Vandeput, the Belgian director of the British Institute at Ankara (BIAA), which had helped organize this trek, paused before an empty niche carved into the natural limestone wall of the canyon. Two millenniums ago, such alcoves were common along the routes of Pisidia, a remote and wild region of Anatolia, the Asian part of modern-day Turkey. In antiquity, niches typically contained a statue of a deity such as Apollo, the son of Zeus and the god of agriculture, arts and healing, where travelers could offer libations and ask for protection from wild animals and warring tribes. A crumbling inscription in Greek caught my eye. I picked out PATRIOS (literally “of one’s father,” or “countryman”) and PHOBOS (“fear”). As control over the mountains changed hands through the centuries, Christian saints replaced the Hellenistic-Roman deity. Read More

The Good News Corner
Summer of Hope kicks off in Lebanon
Lebanon (MNN) — Most churches in the West plan to hold a week of Vacation Bible School sometime this summer. Heart for Lebanon’s Summer of Hope follows a similar model but lasts all summer instead of one week. Heart for Lebanon’s Camille Melki explains, “Our Summer of Hope campaign is meant to bring joy, peace, tranquility, and a sense of togetherness to children who have experienced the hardest of life, whether they are refugees or whether we’re talking about local children."

Lebanon is not an easy place to live, and children need hope. Poverty is rampant, and daily essentials are hard to come by. Cross-border shelling between Israel and Hezbollah threatens war. Only one source offers peace that passes understanding. “Summer of Hope is meant to bring the hope of Christ to every little kid that has suffered tremendously in the last year or so,” Melki says. “Our teachers, staff, and volunteers come alongside hundreds of children every day this summer [to bring] a smile to a child who has lost a loved one; bring a place of belonging, a place where they can play safely and feel welcomed.” (Mission News Network) Read More and Learn about Ministry Here

- Father, we are so grateful for 'Heart for Lebanon" sharing the gospel and their 'Summer of Hope' program displaying the love of Christ to hurting children!  We pray for Your protection and blessing over this ministry and upon those who have been commissioned to share the hope of Jesus. We declare children's hearts will be transformed by Yeshua's presence and His love will emanate from them onto their families. Let there be genuine healing, joy, and salvations for entire households through the sharing of the gospel bringing all GLORY and PRAISE to Jesus Christ! Amen and Amen.

Scripture: "Ever the silver cordbe loosed…then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it. Ecclesiastes 12:6–7

Lyrics:
Some day the silver cord will break,
And I no more as now shall sing;
But oh, the joy when I shall wake
Within the palace of the King!

Refrain
And I shall see Him face to face,
And tell the story—Saved by grace;
And I shall see Him face to face,
And tell the story—Saved by grace.

Some day my earthly house will fall.
I cannot tell how soon ’twill be;
But this I know—my All in All
Has now a place in Heav’n for me.

Refrain

Some day, when fades the golden sun
Beneath the rosy tinted west,
My blessèd Lord will say, Well done!
And I shall enter into rest.

Refrain

Some day: till then I’ll watch and wait,
My lamp all trimmed and burning bright,
That when my Savior opens the gate,
My soul to Him may take its flight.
