The January 6 Committee just received some bad news that will change everything
|
|
Nancy Pelosi set up the January 6 Committee to bring down Donald Trump once and for all. But the tables are about to get turned. And now the January 6 Committee just received some bad news that will change everything.
The Biden Justice Department prosecuted former Trump chief strategist Steve Bannon for contempt of Congress. Citing President Trump asserting executive privilege, Bannon refused to show up for testimony after the January 6 Committee subpoenaed him.
Bannon became the first American convicted of contempt of Congress charges since 1948, demonstrating the political nature of his prosecution.
The night the jury handed down the guilty verdict, Bannon appeared on Tucker Carlson’s show for his first interview. Carlson asked Bannon about his thoughts on facing jail time when a man who attempted to assassinate the Republican nominee for Governor of New York was let out of prison within hours of being arrested and faced no bail.
“A guy who tried to murder a Gubernatorial candidate in New York was released with no bail. What are we to make of these two events occurring the same day?” Carlson asked.
Bannon said his conviction and the Democrats’ no-cash bail policies showed that the Party was unhinged and “lawless.” “As you can tell, the Democrats are completely lawless and look how they’ve run this Committee,” Bannon responded. Bannon slammed the Committee as illegitimate and unconstitutional, pointing out that “there is no ranking member.” There is no ranking member because Nancy Pelosi rejected two of House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy’s selections, leading him to pull the remaining three Republicans.
But Bannon did not stop there.
Bannon warned the Committee and Pelosi that if Republicans take back power in November, there will be a new investigation next year. That investigation – Bannon explained – would focus on the civil liberties-shredding conduct of the Committee members as well as Pelosi and the Capitol Hill Police’s failures on January 6.
“We need a commission or committee on January 6,” Bannon stated. “It’s got to be with the new Congress, with the Republicans in charge. We’ve got to get to the bottom of the intelligence failures, FBI involvement, DHS involvement, the intelligence services.”
“We’ve got to get to the bottom of it,” Bannon concluded.
The January 6 Committee engaged in one of the worst abuses of power in American history.
And Democrats may have to answer for it next year. (Renewed Right) Read more.

- Yes Lord, there is such massive corruption surrounding January 6th on many different levels, even as explained here. We pray for a purifying and cleansing fire to come to the actors involved in the injustices of this day. Stop the political tyranny, O King. We thank You for the backbone of both Steve Bannon and Tucker Carlson, showing the nation what it means to stand and speak out for our Constitutional freedoms. Let God arise upon all of this.
- "The Lord is slow to anger and great in power, and the Lord will by no means clear the guilty. His way is in whirlwind and storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet." (Nahum 1:3)

Go Pro-Trans or Else: 20+ States Sue After Biden Admin Threatens to Block Funding for Non-Woke Schools
|
|
|
Any student must be allowed into any space they identify with or schools will risk the loss of federal funding. That's what both public and private schools are now facing under the Biden administration's new interpretation of Title IX.
Some states are pushing back on the new proposed rules for schools regarding students who identify as transgender. Yesterday, more than 20 attorneys general sued the administration over a policy that could affect school meal programs.
The Biden administration wants all schools that receive federal help to provide open access to bathrooms, locker rooms, and sports, based on students' self-perceived gender identity. But that desire is hitting some legal roadblocks.
Attorney Mary Rice Hasson with the Ethics & Public Policy Center told CBN News, "There's really no compromise. Sex is either male or female or, as the Biden administration puts forward, the idea of sex can be overridden by gender identity and gender identity is simply your self-perception."
Hasson has followed the administration's new interpretation of Title IX, a decision that flips the traditional understanding of sex-segregated spaces. That change forces both public and private schools that rely on federal funding to comply. Hasson says, "It's a confusing time for educators, anyone who receives federal money."
The financial pipeline is worth millions, even billions to some states. Tennessee for example, receives $1.5 billion a year for K-12 schools, and its universities receive $88 million. It's why the state's attorney general has led 19 other states to fight the Education Department over its 2021 re-interpretation of Title IX. - Father God, we offer You praise for this action now being taken by the Attorney Generals in twenty states in our nation.
We ask for a move of Your Spirit to overwhelm those in authority in the Department of Education, causing these new regulations to be canceled. We ask for a miracle, Lord, and so we turn to You. Amen and amen.
- [To Biden's Department of Education]

And His arm will rule for Him.
Most certainly His reward is with Him,
And His restitution accompanies Him."

1. Fed raises interest rates by 75 basis points in another historic move to tackle inflation - Fox Business
The Federal Reserve on Wednesday raised its benchmark interest rate by 75 basis points for the second straight month as it tries to bring scorching-hot inflation under control, a move that threatens to slow U.S. economic growth and exacerbate financial pressure on Americans.
The three-quarter percentage point hikes in June and July — the first since 1994 — underscore just how serious Fed officials are about tackling the inflation crisis after a string of alarming economic reports. Policymakers voted unanimously to approve the latest super-sized hike.
The move puts the key benchmark federal funds rate at a range of 2.25% to 2.50%, the highest since the pandemic began two years ago. It marks the fourth consecutive rate increase this year. (Read more)
- Lord God, as inflation hits a 40 year high we find it incredibly irresponsible for the Biden administration to keep ignoring these numbers, like it’s no big deal. We pray, Lord, that Your Spirit of truth would move upon Biden and this administration to make this one of their number one priority instead of others like climate change. We pray for every struggling family, Lord, as we seel solutions to these problems, and find ways to yet make ends meet in our monthly or weekly budgets. In Your name, we offer this prayer, amen.
- “It is nothing with thee to help, whether with many, or with them that have no power: help us, O LORD our God; for we rest on thee, and in thy name we go against this multitude. O LORD, thou art our God; let not man prevail against thee.” (2 Chronicles 14- 16)

2. Democrats introduce bill to impose term limits on Supreme Court justices - Just The News
House Democrats have introduced a bill that would limit Supreme Court justices from remaining on the bench for over 18 years. The Supreme Court Tenure Establishment and Retirement Modernization Act, if passed, would authorize the president to nominate Supreme Court justices every two years
The lawmakers backing the bill argue such a change will "restore legitimacy and independence to the nation’s highest court."
An AP-NORC survey released earlier this week shows 67% of Americans would support term limits for justices.
The bill is sponsored by Rep. Hank Johnson, a Georgia Democrat, and was introduced Tuesday with the support of six other House Democrats. (Read more)
- Lord God, we lift the Supreme Court up to you and we praise and thank You, Lord, for moving on this court and for the righteous decisions they have made as of late. We are so thankful to you because we know that you are our source for everything. And we pray that this particular piece of legislation would fail, in the mighty name of Jesus amen.

3. Manchin, Schumer announce slimmed-down deal on climate, taxes, health - The Hill
Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) and centrist Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) on Wednesday said they had struck a climate, health and tax package deal — weeks after Manchin seemingly had scuttled any chance of an agreement because of his worries over inflation.
The new package is a fraction of the more than $3 trillion deal once envisioned by liberal Democrats, but it still could give the party a big win ahead of midterm elections where House and Senate majorities are on the line.
The deal will be part of the budget reconciliation package that Senate Democrats plan to bring to the floor next week and pass on a party-line vote, circumventing a Republican filibuster under special Senate rules. (Read more)
- Lord God we lift our leaders up to You that they would choose to spend our money wisely. We pray that they would carefully consider all the issues that are plaguing our American citizens and choose to focus on those issues instead of their own political agendas. In Your name, amen.

4. US offers 'substantial proposal' to bring Brittney Griner, Paul Whelan home from Russia - Fox News
WNBA star Brittney Griner, who has been detained in Russia on drug-related charges since February, could soon return to the U.S. after Secretary of State Antony Blinken revealed Wednesday that the Biden administration has offered a "substantial proposal" for the return of the basketball player and for fellow American Paul Whelan.
Blinken said during a press conference that the Biden administration made the proposal weeks ago and is hoping to speak to Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov for the first time since Feb. 15.
linken did not offer details on the nature of the proposal, but the possibility of a prisoner swap has been rumored since Griner’s trial began. (Read more)
- Lord God we plead the blood of Jesus over the Americans who are trapped right now in Russia. We ask that you would visit them, make yourself known to them, and give them experiential knowledge of you. We pray over this proposal that it will be done ethically, morally, and that there would be no unlawful bribes between these two countries in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

5. The Biden Admin Wants To Spend Billions To Stop Monkeypox - The Daily Caller
The Biden administration believes it needs at least $7 billion to contain the monkeypox outbreak in the United States, according to a memo obtained by The Washington Post.
Congress has not been formally asked for funding to fight the monkeypox outbreak, but critics have accused the administration of being lackadaisical in its response to the spread of the virus. The Biden team privately expressed to Congress that $7 billion is the target number they would need, according to The Post.
The administration also reportedly asked for up to $31.4 billion in new COVID-19 funding. President Biden and his top health officials have not yet declared monkeypox to be a national emergency, although the move is reportedly being considered. (Read more)
- In the name of Jesus we put our foot down and we prohibit another pandemic from sweeping across America and the entire world right now. We bind this curse, we break its powers and we say no more! 6. Biden tests negative for COVID-19, will end isolation, White House physician says - Fox News
Biden completed his five-day course of Paxlovid 36 hours ago, O’Connor said, and said as of Wednesday morning, he "has completed five full days of isolation."
"He remains fever-free and he discontinued use of any acetaminophen (TYLENOL) for the past 36 hours," O’Connor said. "His symptoms have been steadily improving, and are almost completely resolved."
O’Connor said Biden will continue to be "very specifically conscientious to protect any of the Executive Residence, White House, Secret Service and other staff whose duties require any (albeit socialist distanced) proximity to him." (Read more)
- Lord God, we pray for Biden and we just ask that you visit him at night in dreams and in visions. We pray that he would have experiential knowledge of you, that he would repent and turn from his ways and turn around and follow you. We know that he’s not well and we just pray Lord that he will come to the full saving knowledge of you and know the true purpose and destiny that you have yet for him in his days ahead. In Jesus name amen.

7. Florida school board member demands 'disciplinary action' over pornographic books in schools - Fox News
A Florida school board member said she was "disgusted" by the pornographic books available to kids and described a race against time to remove them before the start of the 2022-2023 school year.
"I don't think there's any justification for it. And I can tell you my own research in our school library so far I've identified 75 books that I'm working to challenge to get off of ourselves," Ashley Gilhousen of the Clay County School District board told Fox News Digital. She added that she believed "disciplinary action" was appropriate to address those responsible for placing pornographic and otherwise inappropriate books in front of kids in public schools.
One of the books Gilhousen mentioned was "Lawn Boy" by Jonathan Evison, which describes a boy recalling oral sex from when he was "ten years old." Another book formerly in the district, "Lucky" by Alice Sebold, discussed details of a college girl being raped. (Read more)
- Lord, these graphic books are dangerous for the mental development of our children. Further, it is morally wrong to try to entice them to live a sinful, ungodly lifestyle to try to destroy their lives and their destinies. We plead the blood of Jesus over these children and their minds that they will not be polluted by this garbage in the mighty name of Jesus. We also pray that you would bless all of those exposing this atrocity and advocating for our young children. Amen.
- “See that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that their angels in heaven continually see the face of My Father who is in heaven.” (Matthew 18:10)

8. Concerned moms reveal deciding-vote issues - Fox News
As a recent Fox News poll shows the majority of American moms feel "extremely" motivated to participate in the upcoming midterm elections, some parents are speaking out about which issues will decide their votes.
"There's no shock anymore about how expensive things are," Texas mother of seven Tina Aviles said on "Fox & Friends Weekend" Sunday. "The policies that are in effect are hitting my pocketbook and hitting the pocketbooks of moms across America."
Aviles expressed she’s noticed a shift in Americans’ perception on what has caused 40-year-high inflation.
Other moms voiced education as a top concern ahead of the midterms, ranging from worries over COVID-19 school closures and a lack of alternative school choices. San Diego mom of three Melissa O’Connor explained why she moved one of her children into private schooling over constantly changing COVID-19 mandates. (Read more)
- Heavenly Father, we thank You for working in the hearts and minds of parents and drawing their attention to the education of America’s children. We pray for strength and boldness to be given to them as they advocate for their children and step up to lead reform in their own communities. We pray for the children in each school system, that their days will be filled with opportunities to see Your greatness in the learning process, that they would not be swayed by anything that opposes You or Your Word, and that they would learn to magnify Your traits as they learn about the world around them.
- “You shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up.” ((Deuteronomy 6:7))

9. Michigan football coach Jim Harbaugh reveals stance on abortion - FanNation
The national debate around abortion has come to the college football community after Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh came out on the pro-life side. Harbaugh and his wife, Sarah, spoke at the Plymouth Right to Life event, which raises money for pro-life charities in the state of Michigan.
“In God’s plan, each unborn human truly has a future filled with potential, talent, dreams and love,” Harbaugh said, via Detroit Catholic.
“I have living proof in my family, my children, and the many thousands that I’ve coached that the unborn are amazing gifts from God to make this world a better place. To me, the right choice is to have the courage to let the unborn be born.” (Read more)
- Thank you, Lord God, for this man and his precious family. Thank you for the boldness they have to declare your Word and stand up for the unborn. We are so grateful for all the young men that come across his path that he gets to mentor. Praise God that he can instill in them Your light and Your love, dear Lord. Bless him and his family and their season this year. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

10. China's return to college campuses - Fox News
Colleges and universities across America shut the doors to their Confucius Institutes over the past several years amid growing criticism of the centers' funding connection to the Chinese communist government, but some are now reopening their doors under a different name while continuing to accept money from the Chinese Communist Party.
Confucius Institutes are typically found on college and university campuses with few exceptions operating inside K-12 school districts. Their self-described goal is to offer instruction to students on Chinese language and culture as tensions between the Chinese government and the United States reach a level not seen in decades, and as intelligence officials warn the instruction on language and culture is merely a guise under which the communist party seeks to propagandize within the walls of America's classrooms.
During a U.S. Senate hearing in 2019, FBI Director Christopher Wray said that Confucius Institutes are a "source of concern" and are part of China's "soft power strategy." “Those offer a platform to disseminate Chinese government or Chinese Communist Party propaganda to encourage censorship to restrict academic freedom," Wray said. (Read more)
- Lord God, we have no idea how China was able to gain so much control and so much access to our college campuses and to highly sensitive information from American citizens. But right now we repent that our current administration is failing to do what they can to protect America and its citizens from China’s tyranny. We pray right now that Your Spirit of truth would move on this administration to make this one of their top priorities in Jesus name, amen.
- “But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth;” (John 16:13)

11. US fighter jets, ships ready if Pelosi travels to Taiwan: report - FOX News
The United States military is making preparations ahead of Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi's planned visit to Taiwan. While the speaker's trip to the nation of Taiwan remains unconfirmed and without a hard timeframe, Chinese officials have already taken issue with the idea.
The U.S. military is prepared for every contingency and would increase its movement of forces and assets in the Indo-Pacific region.
Officials told The Associated Press that fighter jets, ships, surveillance assets and other military systems would likely be used to provide overlapping rings of protection for her flight to Taiwan and any time on the ground there.
China's government warned last week it would take "forceful measures" if Pelosi visited Taiwan after the Financial Times reported she would travel to the Chinese-claimed island nation next month. (Read more)
- Lord God, we ask that our leaders would be guided by Your wisdom in every decision they make. If it is not your will that Ms. Pelosi travel to Taiwan, we ask that You cancel this trip. In Your Name, amen and amen.

12. Ukraine takes out key bridge 'destroying' Russian plans for south 'advancement' - Fox News
Ukrainian forces took out a key bridge in Kherson, defense officials said Wednesday, "destroying" Russia’s plans as it looks to advance its troops in the south.
Head of the joint coordination press center for the Ukrainian Defense Forces, Natalia Humeniuk, said that high precision strikes had hit the Antonovsky Bridge in an attempt to control Russian logistical and transportation routes, Ukrainian news outlets first reported.
When pressed about the implications of Kyiv targeting its own infrastructure, Humeniuk told reporters, "We are not destroying infrastructure, we are destroying the enemy’s plans."
The bridge, which crosses the Dnieper River, has become a major strategic target for Ukrainian defense forces in recent weeks as they look sever access between the Russian army in Kherson to occupied areas off of the Crimean Peninsula.
It is unclear what weapon was used to target the bridge but comes as Ukraine has stalled Russian forces along the front lines with the aid of U.S. supplied High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS).[Read more here]
- Lord God, we continue to support the nation of Ukraine as it fights against Russia to secure its own sovereignty.
We ask supernatural protection for all citizens on the ground, and the squelching of any data coming from this war
zone that is not based upon fact.

Stupidocrisy: Selling Oil To China At Bargain Prices
The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, July 27, 2022
Joe Biden was exposed last month for selling part of the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) to a communist Chinese company with ties to his son Hunter while Americans are suffering from his energy-policy induced inflation. Well, Biden’s at it again. According to Department of Energy disclosures, the sales to Unipec America continued in July with another 950,000 barrels for an ongoing tally of nearly six million barrels. Unipec America is the trading arm of Sinopec, owned by the Communist Chinese government, in which Joe Biden’s son Hunter has held up to a ten percent business ownership. Hunter Biden’s lawyer says Hunter no longer holds a stake in the company. Chinese documents say otherwise.
Moreover, an analysis by the Epoch Times indicates that Unipec America is buying the oil from the SPR at prices less than the highest bids—meaning there is at least the appearance that the Biden family is benefiting from the sale of America’s strategic petroleum reserves to communist China while Americans suffer. The Epoch Times reports: “Sales to Unipec appear to fall in the lower price range among the successful buyers…For the 2021 contract, Unipec paid about $63 for each barrel, about $7 lower than the trading price at the time, and more than $2 short of the highest price from other buyers in the sale. The April and July purchases cost Unipec $103.30 and $119.50 per barrel, respectively. The highest prices offered, by comparison, were $111.25 and $125.10.” Read More

Biden to speak with Xi amid warnings that China poses greatest threat to US national security
|
|
|
Biden and Xi are expected to discuss Taiwan, the war in Ukraine and managing 'competition' between the US and China
|
|
President Biden is expected to have a call with Chinese President Xi Jinping this week, the White House said, calling the United States’ relationship with Beijing "one of the most consequential bilateral relationships in the world," as U.S. officials double down on their warnings that China poses the greatest long-term threat to U.S. national security.
"This is one of the most consequential bilateral relationships in the world and in one of the most important parts of the world," White House National Security Council Coordinator for Strategic Communications John Kirby said Tuesday.
Kirby could not give a "specific" date and time for the call between Biden and Xi, but said he expects it to happen "probably this week."
Kirby said Biden and Xi would discuss "everything from the tensions over Taiwan to the war in Ukraine, as well as how we better manage competition between our two nations, certainly in the economic sphere."
"There’s a host of issues, and this is a discussion that, quite frankly, has been playing for a long time," Kirby said, noting that Biden and Xi have a "pretty robust agenda of things" to discuss. (Fox News) Read more here.

- Once again, dear Lord, we come to You on bended knee, asking for divine intervention in all of our relations with China. We ask for a lessening of tensions between our two nations, and a productive dialogue between Biden and Xi when they have this conversation. In Your Name, amen.

Philippines rattled by 7.0 earthquake that kills at least 5
|
|
Residents of the northern Philippines were startled Wednesday morning, local time, when a 7.0-magnitude earthquake sent powerful tremors throughout the island of Luzon and into the capital of Manila. The strong temblor killed at least five people, injured dozens more and caused a slew of destruction around the epicenter.
The earthquake struck at 8:43 a.m. Wednesday, local time, near the municipality of Tayum in the province of Abra, with a rather shallow depth of around 10 miles (17 km) below the earth's surface, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology. The quake had an initial magnitude of 7.3 but after further review, the intensity was revised to 7.0.
Dozens of aftershocks have jolted the region since the initial rumbling, with some of the strongest ranging in magnitude from 4.0 to 5.4.
Video footage from the affected area showed a road buckled by the power of the shock waves emitted by the earthquake as shaken residents gathered outside. In Ilocos Sur, onlookers screamed and ran for safety as pieces of the Bantay Bell Tower crumbled to the ground amid the rumblings.
Michael Brillantes, who works as a safety officer near where the quake struck, feared "the ground would open up" as the violent shaking began, according to a cellphone interview with The Associated Press (AP). "We rushed out of the office, and I heard screams and some of my companions were in tears,” Brillantes said, adding that "it was the most powerful quake I've felt." Read More

'Helping Moms Choose Life': Bill Would Let Child Support Begin at Conception
|
|
A congressional bill that would allow pregnant women to receive child support beginning at conception is receiving wide praise from the pro-life community. Introduced by U.S. Sens. Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Kevin Cramer (R-ND), and Rep. Mike Johnson (R-LA), the bill – called the Unborn Child Support Act – would allow states to enforce child support obligations of the biological father beginning at conception if the mother requests it. Such support would apply retroactively and be paid out while the baby is still in the womb. Meanwhile, the bill gives mothers flexibility in order not to receive child support if they don’t want the father to be involved. “We should do everything we can to support American mothers and their children,” Rubio said. “This bill would allow expecting mothers to prepare and support their babies before they are born.”
Cramer said care for the child should begin “long before a baby is born.” “It begins at the first moment of life – conception – and fathers have obligations, financial and otherwise, during pregnancy,” Cramer said. “Mothers should be able to access child support payments as soon as she is supporting a child. Our bill makes this possible.” It has the support of Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, March for Life, Concerned Women for America and the Family Research Council. “In the new Dobbs era, our policies should reflect the science that life begins at conception and the reality that women and families start making plans well before the birth of a child,” said Marilyn Musgrave, Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America’s vice president of government affairs. “From the moment a woman learns she is pregnant, throughout her pregnancy, and after a child is born, she should receive the support she needs to care for herself and baby.” Musgrave thanked the legislators for “calling men to greater responsibility in helping moms choose life for their children.” (Christian Headlines) Read More Here.

Whispering Hope
To listen to this classic hymn, CLICK HERE
Words and Music: Septimus Winner
Scripture: Hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast. Hebrews 6:19
Lyrics:
Soft as the voice of an angel,
Breathing a lesson unheard,
Hope with a gentle persuasion
Whispers her comforting word:
Wait till the darkness is over,
Wait till the tempest is done,
Hope for the sunshine tomorrow,
After the shower is gone.
Refrain
Whispering hope, oh how welcome thy voice,
Making my heart in its sorrow rejoice.
, in the dusk of the twilight,
Dim be the region afar,
Will not the deepening darkness
Brighten the glimmering star?
Then when the night is upon us,
Why should the heart sink away?
When the dark midnight is over,
Watch for the breaking of day.
Refrain
Hope, as an anchor so steadfast,
Rends the dark veil for the soul,
Whither the Master has entered,
Robbing the grave of its goal.
Come then, O come, glad fruition,
Come to my sad weary heart;
Come, O Thou blest hope of glory,
Never, O never depart.
Refrain
