Biden Drops Out of Presidential Race, Endorses Harris
|
|
|
Minutes after announcing he is bowing out of the 2024 presidential race, President Joe Biden wrote on social media that he is endorsing his vice president and running mate, Kamala Harris.
"My fellow Democrats, I have decided not to accept the nomination and to focus all my energies on my duties as President for the remainder of my term," the president wrote on X, accompanied by a photo of himself and Ms. Harris at the White House.
Saying that his "very first decision as the party nominee in 2020 was to pick Kamala Harris as my Vice President," President Biden said he will offer his "full support and endorsement for Kamala to be the nominee of our party this year."
He urged Democrats to "come together" to beat former President Donald Trump, the Republican presidential nominee in November's election.

Democrats are reacting to President Joe Biden’s decision to drop out of the 2024 race for the presidency, thanking the president for his service.
Some have immediately endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris, whom the president backed after announcing his decision to withdraw on July 21. Others did not mention Ms. Harris, suggesting support for an open nomination process.
“Joe Biden has not only been a great president and a great legislative leader but he’s a truly amazing human being,” Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) wrote in a post on X. “His decision of course was not easy, but he once again put his country, his party, and our future first.”
Former President Barack Obama praised President Joe Biden after he decided Sunday to suspend his reelection campaign but made no mention of Vice President Kamala Harris.
In a lengthy statement, the 44th president described President Biden as “one of America’s most consequential presidents” and a “dear friend.” Going a step further, former President Obama said that his announcement Sunday to drop out shows “he’s a patriot of the highest order.”
“I also know Joe has never backed down from a fight. For him to look at the political landscape and decide that he should pass the torch to a new nominee is surely one of the toughest in his life,” former President Obama wrote. “But I know he wouldn’t make this decision unless he believed it was right for America.” (Epoch Times) Read more here.

Congress Denied Access to Crucial Trump Protection Plan, Screams "Cover your a-- mode": Expert
|
|
Congress was denied access to the integral Ops Report that details the protection plan for former President Trump's rally, according to a lawmaker who was at Wednesday's FBI briefing and spoke to Fox News Digital on the condition of anonymity.
Paul Mauro, an attorney and retired NYPD inspector, said the Ops Report "should detail who was supposed to cover the area of the roof that (Thomas Matthew) Crooks fired from."
"If there was no Ops Plan done, or if it didn't cover that rooftop, whoever signed off on it failed badly," Mauro said.
The detailed, written plan was in the hands of the FBI as of Thursday afternoon, according to Mauro, who said the information came from a source "I absolutely, 100% trust." The FBI declined to comment.
Somehow, Crooks, 20, fell through the cracks, despite several reported sightings as early as an hour before he opened fire on a crowd of people in Butler, Pennsylvania on Saturday.
One bullet nicked Trump's ear, and may have killed him if Trump didn't move his head at that exact moment.
A beloved former fire chief, Corey Comperatore, died while shielding his wife and daughters from a hail of bullets, and two other men were seriously wounded. (Fox News) Read more

WHAT? Trump Shooter Used 3 Encrypted Accounts OVERSEAS to Communicate
|

Trump’s would-be assassin Thomas Matthew Crooks had two cell phones and used three encrypted accounts overseas to communicate.
The FBI found Crooks’ second cell phone at his home with only 27 contacts, The Daily Mail reported.
Congressman Mike Waltz told Fox News host Jesse Watters that according to an FBI briefing, Crooks had multiple encrypted accounts and said more will come out Monday.
Rep. Waltz said the Trump shooter had the overseas accounts at the same time we heard about the Iranian assassination plot against Trump.
Jesse Watters asked if the two are connected (they aren’t).

On December 5th, 2023, the presidents of Harvard, M.I.T., and Penn State testified before Congress, addressing whether they would take disciplinary action against students advocating the genocide of Jews, shouting intifada, and other anti-Jewish and anti-Israel slogans. It is important to remember that these demonstrations on our college campuses are currently amplified as they exist in the context of a worldwide anti-Jewish and anti-Israel climate as depicted in “Gas the Jews” slogans in Australia, posters depicting Jews as Nazis in Western Europe, American university students and professors’ expressing statements such as “the glorious Oct 7th incident,” shouting “dirty little Jew,” incidents such as bomb threats called in to, and swastikas painted on American University Jewish organizations, and Penn advising its Jewish students not to wear clothing and accessories related to Judaism.
Their response camouflaged in legalistic language invoked principles of our First Amendment of free speech and academic freedom. The presidents used convenient terms such as “when speech turns to action” and “the call for genocide is dependent on context” concerning the eradication of the Jewish people. The legality of our First Amendment is not the issue; rather the issue was how the leadership of our nation’s elite universities would address what is acceptable speech in private educational institutions. We were looking for leadership from our elite universities; instead, we got Clintonian-style answers harkening back to when we were lectured on what the definition of “is” is.
This prompted public outrage, with many questioning why the presidents could not plainly and unequivocally condemn such speech as hate speech not aligned with the principles of their respective universities. Many attribute their reluctance to do so as a function solely of antisemitism, but as an American Jew born in the Soviet Union, I believe their held positions and their failure to lead are symptoms of a much deeper problem: Cultural Marxism and its pervasive viral grip on our educational institutions. Overnight Drone Attack Hits Tel Aviv: 1 Dead, 8 Wounded in Apparent Drone Strike from Yemen
|

A drone apparently launched from Yemen exploded near an apartment building in Tel Aviv early on Friday morning, killing one Israeli and wounding eight others, the IDF and rescue services confirmed.
According to the Tel Aviv police, an explosion shook Tel Aviv around 3 a.m., triggering hundreds of concerned calls to the police hotline. The explosion happened in the air and was reportedly heard all across the greater Tel Aviv area.
The air blast caused significant damage to several buildings, with the shrapnel killing a man of about 50 years, and lightly wounding four other people. Four additional victims were treated for shock and anxiety, the Magen David Adom rescue service stated.
“A preliminary investigation shows that the explosion in Tel Aviv was caused by the fall of an aerial target, which did not trigger a warning. The matter is under in-depth investigation. Many forces are now operating in place,” the Israel Defense Forces stated.
“The Air Force will increase the patrols of the planes operating to protect the country’s skies. There is no change in the directives of the Home Front Command,” the military added. (AllIsrael.com) Read more

1. Netanyahu’s Flight to US Postponed, Will Meet with Biden Tuesday Afternoon - Algemeiner
i24 News – Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s trip to Washington, DC, was scheduled to depart Sunday, but after his meeting with US President Biden was postponed to Tuesday, his trip has been pushed back a day.
Using the time while still in Israel, Netanyahu is scheduled to hold a meeting on the ceasefire deal and hostage release with Hamas.
The meeting will deal with formulating an Israeli response to the points of contention in the negotiation. These include the mechanisms for returning residents to northern Gaza and control over the Philadelphia Corridor and Rafah crossing. Israel wants to expedite contacts during the visit to the US.
Netanyahu is still expected to meet with Biden as planned, but as Biden is still in isolation after being diagnosed with Covid-19, it is unknown if the meeting will indeed take place. (Read more)

2. Israeli killed, four hurt as ‘aerial target’ strikes Tel Aviv - JNS
An Israeli man was killed and four others were wounded overnight Thursday when what the Israel Defense Forces described as an “aerial target” exploded in a residential neighborhood in central Tel Aviv.
During the search of a building, Magen David Adom emergency medics found the lifeless body of a man in his 50s with “penetrating injuries” and determined he was killed by the blast.
The slain man was later identified as Yevgeny Ferder.
Medics treated a woman in her 20s and a man in his 30s for shrapnel wounds at the scene before evacuating them to Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center’s Ichilov Hospital. (Read more)

3. Netanyahu: Strike on Houthi port shows Israel will reach its enemies, however far away - Times of Israel
Israel’s attack in Yemen today “makes it clear to our enemies that there is no place that the long arm of Israel will not reach,” says Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in a video statement released on Saturday evening, shortly after the end of Shabbat. He praises the IDF and the IAF for “a determined, precise and successful operation. It struck targets 1,700 kilometers from our borders,” he notes.
“I have a message for Israel’s enemies – don’t be mistaken about us,” Netanyahu says, a day before he is scheduled to fly to Washington DC. “We will protect ourselves in every way, on every front. Anyone who harms us will pay a very heavy price for his aggression.”
Netanyahu also calls on the international community to enhance its measures against Iran and its proxies: “Anyone who wishes to see a stable and safe Middle East needs to stand against Iran’s axis of evil, and support Israel’s fight against Iran and its proxies – in Yemen, in Gaza, in Lebanon, everywhere.” (Read more)

4. Top UN court tells Israel to end ‘unlawful’ Judea, Samaria ‘occupation’ - JNS
The International Court of Justice, the principal judicial arm of the United Nations located in The Hague, issued a non-binding, 83-page opinion on Friday declaring Israeli “occupation” of Judea and Samaria to be “unlawful.”
“The court reaffirms that the Israeli settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, and the régime associated with them, have been established and are being maintained in violation of international law,” the U.N. high court stated.
Israel is “obliged to bring an end to its presence in the Occupied Palestinian Territory as rapidly as possible,” the court added. Julia Sebutinde, of Uganda, the court’s vice-president, was the only one to dissent on all of the counts, which passed either 14-1, 14-3, 12-3 or 11-4. (Read more)

5. Sirens in Eilat: Arrow system intercepts missile fired from Yemen - Israel National News
Sirens were sounded on Sunday morning, around 6:15 a.m., in Eilat and the surrounding area.
The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit later announced, “A short while ago, the IDF Aerial Defense Array successfully intercepted a surface-to-surface missile that approached Israeli territory from Yemen using the ‘Arrow 3’ Aerial Defense System.”
“The projectile did not cross into Israeli territory. Rocket and missile sirens were sounded following the possibility of falling shrapnel. The incident has concluded.” (Read more)

1. At What Cost': Guard Chief Argues Border Mission Is Getting in the Way of Warfighting – Military Times
The outgoing chief of the National Guard is doubling down on his recent criticisms of the service component's long-troubled security mission on the U.S.-Mexico border, saying it's a detriment to the Guard's ability to wage war.
"The reason the Guard exists is to fight and win our nation's wars, period," Gen. Daniel Hokanson, the National Guard's top officer, said in an interview with Military.com on Wednesday. "We can do stuff along the southwest border. But at the end of the day, that is [demands] on individuals not related to their military mission set."
For decades, the National Guard has had some level of presence on the southwest border. But that mission was supercharged in Texas as part of Gov. Greg Abbott's ongoing Operation Lone Star, which surged that state's soldiers to combat illegal immigration in 2021. At its peak, 10,000 Guardsmen were part of the operation, which is in addition to a federal border mission of some 2,500 Guardsmen. Read more

2. Washington Post deletes 'unacceptable' post scolding American hostage parents for not being critical of Israel - Fox
The Washington Post came under fire after it scolded the parents of an American hostage in Gaza for not publicly criticizing Israel's "assault" there and admitted Friday that its social media post was "unacceptable."
"Omer Neutra has been missing since the Oct. 7 attack on Israel. When his parents speak publicly, they don't talk about Israel's assault on Gaza that has killed over 38,000 Palestinians, according to local officials. Experts have warned of looming famine," the Post wrote on X.
The post linked to an interview the paper conducted with Omer's parents, Orna and Ronen Neutra, ahead of their speech on day three of the Republican National Convention.
The Post's social media post attracted fierce criticism before the paper took it down hours later.
In another X post published Friday morning, the paper explained that it deleted the initial post because it had "mischaracterized the efforts of Neutra’s parents." The paper followed up hours later with a more thorough explanation.
"A previous post referencing the below story was unacceptable and did not meet our editorial standards, and The Post has deleted it. The reporter of the story was not involved in crafting the tweet. We have taken the appropriate action regarding this incident," The Post wrote on X. Read more

3. Investment Firm That Allegedly “Put Options” on 12 Million Trump Stocks Day Before Assassination Attempt Blames Filing Error — Rothschild, BlackRock, Vanguard, Meta, George Bush, and Cheney Family Among Top Investors
Austin Private Wealth, LLC, a Texas-based financial planning company, is being scrutinized after a social media post went viral that claimed they had put options on as many as 12 million shares of DJT shares just one day before the assassination attempt on Donald Trump.
The investment firm denied the allegations and has now blamed a filing error for this controversial action.
According to CA Club India:
A Put Option is an investment made by someone who expects a company’s Stock Price to fall. People who engage in Inside Trading buy Put Options can make 5X or, sometimes even 100X profits (depends on how quickly the stock plummets).
If Trump did die in the assassination attempt, his company would have become worthless. Its stock would have become Zero in a day. The people who bought Put Options would have made billions in profits. Read more

4. American Left Allowed Its Hatred For Trump Exceed Its Love For America -Outkick
President Donald Trump was the target of an assassination attempt over the weekend at a rally in Pennsylvania. A bullet grazed his ear and would have likely killed him had he not tilted his head at the last millisecond. A father of two and local firefighter named Corey Comperatore died as a bystander, heroically shielding his family members from incoming bullets.
The shooting drew a lengthy list of emotions from Americans – from sadness to anger, from horror to relief. Meanwhile, politicians and media members presented themselves as shocked. But they weren't really shocked. No one who had been paying attention could sincerely say they were shocked.
An assassination attempt on Trump was inevitable. It has been inevitable since November 2022, when Trump officially announced he would launch a second presidential campaign. We have warned of such on OutKick several times since May.

5. Deputy Foreign Minister: Russia Not Ruling Out Deploying Nukes Against NATO- Breitbart
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov suggested in an interview on Wednesday that his country could pursue new nuclear weapons deployments in response to the stationing of American long-range missiles and hypersonic weapons in Germany.
Russian officials have repeatedly stated they would not immediately dismiss the use of nuclear weapons if necessary to protect the regime of strongman Vladimir Putin from a potential NATO attack – or escalations in the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine. NATO powers are directly involved in the Ukraine war, though Ukraine is not a member of the military alliance, through the provision of military assistance to the country. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was a special guest at the annual NATO summit hosted in Washington this month, where President Joe Biden introduced him as “President Putin.”
Ryabkov was speaking to the Interfax news agency on Thursday and responding to the July 10 announcement that America would increase its arsenal of weapons in Germany.
“I’m not ruling out any options,” he said, according to a translation by the Moscow Times, reportedly a suggestion that more nuclear deployments were possible to ensure Russia has the “widest possible optionality.”
“Considering the combined capabilities of NATO member countries, we must calibrate our responses without any internal checks in terms of what, where and when to deploy,” he asserted. Read more

6. Russia sentences journalist Evan Gershkovich to 16 years in prison on espionage charges
A Russian court has handed down its sentence for Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich after over a year of proceedings.
The court found Gershkovich, 32, guilty of "gathering secret information" while reporting on a trip to the Ural Mountains city of Yekaterinburg.
He has been sentenced to 16 years in prison.
Prosecutors claimed Gershkovich gathered secret information on orders from the CIA about Uralvagonzavod, a plant about 90 miles north of Yekaterinburg that produces and repairs tanks and other military equipment.
The U.S. government classifies Gershkovich as "wrongfully detained," and is seeking his immediate release through diplomatic channels. He has also personally denied all charges, along with The Wall Street Journal.
"Evan’s wrongful detention has been an outrage since his unjust arrest 477 days ago, and it must end now," The Wall Street Journal said Thursday in a statement. Read more

I have been teaching about Bible prophecy for almost twenty years. I have been studying Bible prophecy for almost thirty years. Because I have taken such an interest in Bible prophecy, I knew a day would come when technology would increase rapidly and the world would change in ways we only used to imagine. I knew someday we would wake up and see that the things we used to call science fiction were now everyday realities. It’s one thing to know this and another to actually live through it. The day I said would one day come is now here!
I knew from the prophecy of Matthew 24:14 that “the gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come,” would need modern-day technology to be fulfilled. It was a very different world when Jesus spoke this prophecy to His disciples on the Mount of Olives. Communication was limited. Messages were carried by foot, on horseback, or by ship. It took time to get a message out.
I knew the prophecy of Revelation 11:9, where for three and a half days, people, tribes, languages, and nations from around the world would be able to see the lifeless bodies of the Tribulation’s Two Witnesses as they lay dead in the public square. I understood that for that to happen, technology would have to be much more advanced than what we had at the start of the twentieth century. How do people all over the world witness the Two Witnesses’ dead bodies in Jerusalem in real-time? This was impossible in any other age. Read More

A South Carolina pastor encountered some devastating news when his church’s vans were set on fire. As The Roys Report shared, Kiah Graves, the pastor of Philadelphia Baptist Church in Pauline, South Carolina made the decision to visit the young man, Brandon Greene, who set the vans on fire when he was arrested. WYFF noted that Graves said, “We really felt compelled to share the love of Christ with Brandon. Sharing the message of the gospel with the teen was clearly powerful for both Pastor Graves and for Greene as Greene ended up giving his life to Jesus Christ. “He gave his life to Christ in there, repented of his sins, and wants to be baptized. But none of that would have happened, I don’t think, if everybody wasn’t on the same page of, yes, let’s catch him, make sure we get that squared away, but also don’t leave him by himself,” Graves said. The church’s vans were needed to go on a mission trip to Kentucky. However, the church provided an update that replacements were found for the occasion. This encounter is a perfect example of how God still desires to take the broken things in our lives, to take the ashes, and turn them into something beautiful.
