Supreme Court victory:
Trump has absolute immunity for official acts
Fight erupted over Democrats' lawfare against Republican candidate

The U.S. Supreme Court has ruled that President Donald Trump has "absolute immunity from criminal prosecution for actions within his conclusive and preclusive constitutional authority."

There also is "presumptive immunity" for official acts. But there's no immunity for "unofficial acts."

The ruling results from a federal grand jury, assembled as part of the Democrat party's "lawfare" against Trump, that indicted Trump on four counts for events that happened during his presidency.

It was after the 2020 election, which was influenced by interference by both the FBI and the CIA, that Trump protested the outcome.
He also went to court to protest what he called the stolen election.

In fact, evidence now shows that the CIA knew that a letter from ex-intel officers claiming the Biden family scandals revealed in Hunter Biden's laptop was Russian disinformation was, in fact, a lie. Further, the FBI warned publications to suppress accurate reporting on that issue. Later polling showed those actions probably cost Trump the election and handed the White House to the now-"diminished" Joe Biden.

"Under our constitutional structure of separated powers, the nature of presidential power entitles a former president to absolute immunity from criminal prosecution for actions within his conclusive and preclusive constitutional authority," the 6-3 opinion said.

"And he is entitled to at least presumptive immunity from prosecution for all his official acts."
The ruling said, "This case is the first criminal prosecution in our nation's history of a former president for actions taken during his presidency. Determining whether and under what circumstances such a prosecution may proceed requires careful assessment of the scope of presidential power under the Constitution. The nature of that power requires that a former president have some immunity from criminal prosecution for official acts during his tenure in office. At least with respect to the president’s exercise of his core constitutional powers, this immunity must be absolute. As for his remaining official actions, he is entitled to at least presumptive immunity. Article II of the Constitution vests 'executive Power' in 'a President of the United States of America.'

"The president has duties of 'unrivaled gravity and breadth.' His authority to act necessarily 'stem[s] either from an act of Congress or from the Constitution itself.'" (WND) Read more

- Father, we rejoice over this decision from the Supreme Court, making a stand for the strength of our Constitution and driving down the two-tiered justice system.  Holy One, there is certainly ample, if not abundant evidence, that there were nefarious actions that took place surrounding the 2020 election.  We are blessed to have in President Trump, a man of courage who will take a stand against injustice in order to establish righteousness, even if it cost him a great deal.  We pray for this decision to cause the lawsuits against him to crumble and fall as ashes trampled under our feet, salt without savor thrown into the dung heap, in Jesus holy name.  Amen!

- "For the word of the Lord is right, And all His work is done in truth.  He loves righteousness and justice; The earth is full of the goodness of the Lord."           (Psalm 33:4-5)

The Senkaku Islands: What’s coming?
When the People’s Republic of China (PRC) wants something that belongs to someone else, it is persistent and pushes to get what it wants. And it’s willing to use force if necessary. Japan knows the feeling when it comes to its Senkaku Islands at the southern end of the Ryukyu chain. They are closer to Shanghai than to Tokyo. The PRC claims the islands as its own – referring to them as the Diaoyu Islands.

Given the PRC’s increasingly violent behavior as it seeks to control Philippine maritime territory, it is worth taking stock of the Senkaku situation.

Swarming and ‘Osmosis’

China fully intends to take the Senkakus…when the time is right.  For the last 15 years the Chinese have been gradually expanding their naval presence, in terms of frequency, location, and numbers and types of ships and boats involved. We’ve seen China Coast Guard, People’s Armed Forces Maritime Militia, ‘regular’ fishing boats, and other Chinese government agency ships, with the People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLAN, or Chinese Navy) lurking close by.  Even Chinese aircraft have intruded into Japanese airspace around the Senkakus.

It will be “more things in more places and more often” and more frequently in Japan’s territorial waters. In other words, within 12 miles of the Senkaku Islands. At some point Japan will find it simply doesn’t have the ships and resources to contain Chinese incursions.

China will have taken the Senkakus by “osmosis” rather than by storm. (Center for Security Policy) Read more here.

Mighty God, we ask You to oppose China's devious and underhanded dealings with and against other nations, not only these islands, but many others in the Pacific Rim, Africa and South America, in Jesus' name.  We know they are planning trouble for the sovereignty of these lands, both small and large and we pray for the protection of these nations and we bind the Chinese plans to overthrow others, in Jesus' name.  We pray for the prayers of their saints to be effective in undermining the power of communism and its tyranny against freedom and democracy.  Holy One, we ask You to be the light of China, in Jesus' name.

- "Thus says the Lord:  'Keep justice, and do righteousness, For My salvation is about to come, And My righteousness to be revealed.'"  (Isaiah 56:1)

French far right projected to win first round in elections with 34.5% of votes
National Rally longtime leader Le Pen urges voters to hand party victory in second round of voting for National Assembly next week; President Macron calls for opposing alliance

PARIS — France’s far-right won the first round of pivotal legislative elections on Sunday with the centrist forces of President Emmanuel Macron coming in only third behind the left after the highest turnout in over four decades, estimates said.

But it remained unclear if the far-right National Rally (RN) party of Marine Le Pen would win an absolute majority of seats in the new National Assembly lower house in the July 7 second round and enable her protégé, Jordan Bardella, 28, to become the next prime minister.

Macron had stunned the nation and baffled even some allies by calling snap polls, after the RN trounced his centrist forces in European Parliament elections this month.

That gamble risks backfiring, with Macron’s alliance now expected to win a far smaller minority contingent in parliament, making the president a far less powerful figure for the remaining three years of his term.

Projections from prominent French polling firms gave the RN 34.5 percent of the vote, compared to 28.5-29.1% for the left-wing New Popular Front alliance, and 20.5-21.5% for Macron’s centrist camp.

The polling agencies projected this would give the RN a majority of seats in the 577-seat National Assembly after the second round and a possible absolute majority. (Times of Israel) Read more here.

- Holy One, we pray for the party of freedom and independence in France to overthrow the tyranny of the globalists, in Jesus name.  As we are starting to see around the world, may there continue to be a huge shift in the government because the people (and farmers) are heartily opposing the actions of their current leaders.  May the groundswell continue to push forward leaders who desire democracy and freedom of choice, while retaining their national culture, identity and all other indicators of a sovereign people, in Jesus name. We bless Marine Le Pen and pray for her protection. We pray, too, for a turn-around in the French parliament, to bring forth a stable nation, in Jesus name.

- "'and say, "Thus says the Lord God; 'Behold, I am against you, O Sidon; I will be glorified in your midst; And they shall know that I am the Lord, When I execute judgments in her and am hallowed in her.'  (Ezekiel 28:22)

4. PM says ‘grave mistake’ to free Gaza hospital head; panel to oversee future releases - Times of Israel

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday criticized the decision to release the head of Gaza’s largest hospital from Israel prison as a “grave mistake,” while he sought to deflect blame over the move.

With security officials and elected leaders continuing to trade recriminations over the release of Mohammad Abu Salmiya, Netanyahu ordered the creation of an interagency body to oversee future decisions to release detainees following their interrogations.

Abu Salmiya was arrested by IDF troops in November on suspicion of having allowed Hamas to use the Gaza City hospital as a center of operations. He was detained and taken for questioning by the Shin Bet as he was attempting to evacuate to the south of the Strip via an IDF-operated humanitarian corridor. (Read more)

5. Masked Activists Violently Attack Jews at North Carolina Public Library - Algemeiner

Three pro-Israel attendees of a public event titled “Strategic Lessons From the Palestinian Resistance” reported being attacked and forcibly dragged out by anti-Israel activists also in attendance at the West Asheville Library in North Carolina on Saturday.

The event, hosed by Another Carolina Anarchist Bookfair, was one of multiple anti-Israel sessions that took place during a three-day “anarchist” book fair.

The Algemeiner interviewed David Moritz, a 54-year-old son of Holocaust survivors, and Monica Buckley, who is 48 and identifies as queer. Both are Jewish and attended the event with 80-year-old Bob Campbell, who was also interviewed for this story.

Approximately 60-80 anti-Israel activists were in attendance at the event held in a public library. Almost all were masked, with the exception of one activist who is reported to regularly attend events in the area unmasked. (Read more)

1. Majority of voters think Biden is cognitively unfit to serve as president: poll - Fox News

A nonprobability poll released by CBS News on Sunday found that more voters have doubts about President Biden's cognitive abilities after Thursday's presidential debate.

The poll, which was conducted between Friday and Saturday, found that 18% of voters thought Biden's debate performance inspired confidence, while 44% believed that former President Trump's performance did. Only 21% of polled voters believed that Biden presented his ideas clearly.

When asked earlier in June if Biden had the mental and cognitive health to serve as president, 35% of respondents said he did. After the debate, that number dropped to 27%. (Read more)

- Lord we just pray out your will regarding Biden being unfit mentally to continue as president. We pray your will be carried out and your plans prevail.

2. World Officials Say They've Seen Warning Signs of Biden's Mental Fitness - Breitbart

European officials reacted to President Joe Biden’s performance at the presidential debate, noting they’ve seen warning signs of his deteriorating age for awhile.

Several officials in countries such as Poland, Germany, and Slovenia expressed concerns about 81-year-old Biden’s age and his ability to serve a second term as President of the United States, according to the Wall Street Journal.

This comes after Biden appeared to look confused and appeared to freeze during the presidential debate on Thursday against former President Donald Trump. Biden also spoke with a hoarse-sounding voice and appeared to mumble.

“This night will not be forgotten,” Norbert Rottgen, a member of the Christian Democratic Union of Germany wrote in a post on X. “The Democrats must now change course. And Germany must prepare itself as quickly as possible for a future that is uncertain in terms of security policy. If we do not take responsibility for Europe now, no one will.” (Read more)

- Lord, we know this is not good for the country right now. We pray your will be done your kingdom come for our country. We pray that whatever plans the Democrats have to replace Joe Biden, even before the election, will be according to your plan, and not a devious underhanded plan of man. In Your Name we offer this prayer, amen.

- "Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails." (Proverbs 19:21)

3. Deadly Hurricane Beryl becomes earliest Category 5 storm on record hours after pummeling Windward Islands - Fox Weather

Hurricane Beryl strengthened to 160 mph Monday evening, surpassing 2005's Hurricane Emily as the earliest Category 5 storm to form in the Atlantic Ocean. The storm has since strengthened even further.

Just hours after deadly Hurricane Beryl pummeled the Windward Islands with devastating winds and a powerful storm surge as a major Category 4 storm, Beryl strengthened even further, reaching Category 5 strength on Monday evening and shattering the record for the earliest Category 5 hurricane observed in the Atlantic basin.

The National Hurricane Center said Beryl reached peak wind speeds of 160 mph as of their 11 p.m. ET Monday update, classifying the storm on the highest rung of the Saffir-Simpson hurricane scale, and beating Hurricane Emily's climb to Category 5 status on July 16, 2005.

The storm continued to intensify Tuesday morning to 165 mph peak gusts before drifting back to 160 mph by late morning. The peak winds are 15 mph faster than when the hurricane made landfall on Carriacou Island earlier on Monday. (Read more)

- Lord, we pray protection for the Caribbean islands. We pray that you calm this hurricane and reduce it down from a category 4 to prevent any catastrophic events on the Islands, in Jesus name.

4. Pro-Palestinian Protesters Descend on Chicago Suburban Home of Democrat Rep. Brad Schneider at 3am - Breitbart

A group of around 40 pro-Palestinian protesters descended upon Democrat Rep. Brad Schneider’s (D-IL) north suburban Chicago area home in the early morning hours on Saturday, worrying neighbors and causing the police department to step up patrols in the neighborhood. Neighbors reported being shocked when the protesters began making noise and shouting slogans at around 3 a.m. on Saturday morning.

Schneider, who is Jewish and openly supports Israel, was not home at the time, but other members of his family were in the residence. “It was terrifying, it was surreal, both of us were awaken from sleeping,” one resident told WMAQ-TV.

City officials quickly issued a community advisory alert and the Highland Park Police were dispatched to begin dispersing the protesters, WBBM-TV reported. Officers on the scene reported that the protesters were shouting “pro-Palestinian and antisemitic chants,” using bullhorns, and beating drums. It was also reported that a red liquid that may have been animal blood was dumped on the sidewalk in front of the congressman’s home.

Police say the crowd was dispersed peacefully and no arrests were made.

The congressman released a statement bemoaning that the protesters did not attempt a “constructive dialog.”

“It’s unfortunate that, instead of seeking a constructive dialogue with Congressman Schneider, a group of people hiding their faces chose to taunt and intimidate a predominantly Jewish neighborhood on the Jewish Sabbath in the middle of the night,” Schneider said in his statement. (Read more)

- Lord, we pray protection for this congressman and all leaders who support Israel. May You foil the plans of these protesters that their plans would not succeed.

5. Cartel-Destined Weapons Cache Seized at Texas Border with Mexico - Breitbart

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers seized a large cache of weapons at the Progresso International Bridge. The weapons were found in a vehicle in the southbound lane of the bridge that connects Texas and Mexico.

CBP Office of Field Operations officers working the Progresso International Bridge on Wednesday selected a vehicle in the outbound lanes for secondary inspection, according to a statement from CBP officials. With the use of CBP K-9 teams and non-intrusive inspection systems, the officers found a large cache of weapons, magazines, and ammunition likely bound for cartels in Mexico.

The officers seized 67 rifles, handguns, and shotguns, along with 69 magazines and 33 rounds of ammunition hidden inside the vehicle.

“Our frontline officers continue to exercise resolute vigilance and through an effective combination of training, inspections experience and technology they interdicted a significant load of undeclared weapons,” Port Director Walter Weaver, Progreso/Donna Port of Entry said in a written statement. “These types of seizures perfectly exemplify and illustrate CBP’s ongoing commitment to helping secure our shared border with Mexico.”

Officers turned over the weapons and suspects to ICE Homeland Security Investigations for criminal investigation. (Read more)

6. US bases in Europe on high alert for possible terrorist attack: DOD - Fox News

U.S. military bases throughout Europe have been put on heightened alert status due to a potential terrorist attack, Fox News Digital has confirmed.

The official, who declined to be identified because he was not authorized to speak to the media, did not elaborate on the nature of the threat, but confirmed it was not tied to the French elections.

The official said all U.S. military bases in Europe have been placed on high alert, not a lock-down. (Read more)

The Daily Jot

Got Tzitzit?

The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, July 1, 2024

I remember as a kid the old folks would tie a string around their finger to remember something they were supposed to do. In my work, I keep an open Word document on my desktop titled “To Do.” Whenever a client call comes in, I take notes in the “To Do” doc so I don’t forget the details of what I’m supposed to do. Also, this doc is a parking lot, so to speak, for ideas and other tasks. As humans, we often need reminders—some of us more than others. But I’m not just talking about preventing mental lapses or forgetting about a task or an appointment. What about our character, our behavior, how we live our life? We are tempted most every day. Do we need reminders of how to respond? Do we need tzitzit?

Tzitzit are the tassels worn by every Torah observant Jewish man—setting the people of Israel apart from the world. Jesus, himself, wore them! The Lord commanded Moses to have the people of Israel wear the tzitzit as a reminder. Numbers 15:39-40 introduces tzitzit, “The Lord said to Moses, Speak to the people of Israel, instructing them to make, through all their generations, tzitzit on the corners of their garments, and to put with the tzitzit on each corner a blue threat. It is to be a tzitzit for you to look at and thereby remember all of the Lord’s laws and obey them, so that you won’t go around wherever your own heart and eyes lead you to prostitute yourselves; but it will help you remember and obey all my law and be holy for your God.” Read More

Trump v. United States.

Decided July 1, 2024.

The following is the vote count in the case which vacated the lower courts opinion and remanded it back for further determinations. The vote was essentially 6-3. I still need to read Barrett’s concurrence to understand – but her vote is not necessary for a 5-vote majority in any event. Indented portions below are direct quotations from the official syllabus from the Supreme Court.

‘Let’s All Be Tennesseans’: Trusted Pastor Calls American Churches To Join Tennessee In Month-Long Call To Prayer
‘Let’s All Be Tennesseans’
Trusted Pastor Calls American Churches To Join Tennessee In Month-Long Call To Prayer

Earlier this year, the Tennessee Governor signed a stunning and historic bill into law calling for a month of prayer for the United States and recognition of God starting July 1st. The stated purpose of the bill, which overwhelmingly passed the state legislature, is “to seek God’s hand of mercy healing on Tennessee.”

The impact of Governor Bill Lee’s proclamation, however, has stretched far beyond its State’s border, prompting California Pastor Jack Hibbs to call on American Pastors and Churches from every State to “be Tennesseans” for the month of July.

“Our governor won’t say such a thing. We don’t need our governor to say such a thing,” he stressed. “We’ve got ears to hear what the Spirit is saying, and the Holy Spirit is calling Tennessee, its governor, and its people to pray for America. We in California can do the same thing. I’m calling upon the church in America to join with Tennessee.”

Tennessee’s Call to Prayer

The text of the Tennessee bill highlighted the violence, drug abuse, human trafficking, and brokenness in many Tennessee homes, as well as “evidence of corruption in our federal government [which] stands to impact every Tennessean” to underscore why prayer at this time in American history is so critical.

“Our National and State Founders trusted in the omnipotent hand of Providence to guide and bless our land,” the bill reads, adding that throughout the decades, American leaders and Founders issued similar proclamations that “called our people to seek out the Creator’s favor…”

...

‘Let’s All Be Tennesseans’

Jack Hibbs, a trusted California pastor and ministry leader, underscored that while no such proclamation is expected to arise from his State’s government, all believers across the United States need to join the State in interceding for our country.

“Let’s ask every Christian in America, every Pastor in America. Let’s all fast and pray that God would have His way with these United States. Let’s all be Tennesseans this month of July and pray and fast as the Lord leads,” Hibbs, senior pastor of Calvary Chapel Chino Hills, urged.

“Wear a Tennessee t-shirt, get a hat, whatever—but starting July 1st, as you’re able, fast and pray for our nation. If Tennessee is watching, We’re with you. California is with Tennessee,” he emphasized. “Maybe God is waiting for America and its churches to wake up.” (Harbinger's Daily) Read more here.

Trump touts Supreme Court's presidential immunity ruling as 'big win for our Constitution and for democracy'
Supreme Court rules Trump immune from criminal prosecution for 'official acts'

Former President Trump touted the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling on presidential immunity as a "big win for our Constitution and for democracy" during an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital.

The Supreme Court ruled Monday in Trump v. United States that a former president has substantial immunity from prosecution for official acts committed while in office, but not for unofficial acts. The high court said Trump is immune from criminal prosecution for "official acts" – but left it to the lower court to determine exactly where the line between official and unofficial lay.

"The President therefore may not be prosecuted for exercising his core constitutional powers, and he is entitled, at a minimum, to a presumptive immunity from prosecution for all his official acts," the majority opinion written by Chief Justice John Roberts states. "That immunity applies equally to all occupants of the Oval Office, regardless of politics, policy, or party." (Fox News) Read more here.

- We bless You Father, as we rejoice to see this solid victory based on the Constitution, without leaning to one side or the other, attempting to advance an ignoble agenda.  We pray for this decision to stand firm and strong under all future efforts to prosecute a President, in Jesus name.  We give You the praise Father, for speaking to the Supreme Court justices that would hear and follow Your supreme leadership and we feel a strong sense of victory.  There will certainly be more challenges coming, but we continue to look to You as the strong tower and defense of both our nation and those who stand in Your truth, in Jesus name.

- "Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the Lord delivers him out of them all.  He guards all his bones; Not one of them is broken."  (Psalm 34;19-20)

"And the Lord shall help them and deliver them; He shall deliver them from the wicked, And save them, Because they trust in Him." (Psalm 37:40)

And Now . . . Lion of Judah: ROAR!!!!
"The Lord shall go forth like a mighty man;
He shall stir up His zeal like a man of war.
He shall cry out, yes, shout aloud;
He shall prevail against His enemies."

Beryl becomes 'extremely dangerous' Category 4 hurricane expected to bring life-threatening conditions to Caribbean
Hurricane warnings have been issued for Barbados, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Grenada and Tobago, according to the National Hurricane Center.

Hurricane Beryl has become an "extremely dangerous" Category 4 storm as it inches closer to the Windward Islands, bringing life-threatening winds and storm surge to the Caribbean, the National Hurricane Center said Sunday.

Beryl expanded its strength for two days, reaching Category 4 strength on a scale of 5 on Sunday before leveling off, the center said in a late-afternoon advisory.

With sustained winds of 130 mph, the storm was likely to be a destructive force through the early week as it aimed for a possible clash with Mexico's Yucatán peninsula around next weekend, according to the hurricane center.

"Fluctuations in strength are common in major hurricanes in conducive environments, and it is expected that Beryl will also fluctuate in strength for the next day or so," the center said in a separate forecast discussion. "There is high confidence that Beryl will remain an extremely dangerous hurricane through landfall in the Windward Islands."

Its center is expected to move across the Windward Islands early Monday, with hurricane conditions, including heavy rain, expected Sunday evening, the agency said. Read More

300,000-Member Indian Church to Plant 40 More Megachurches - What's Their Secret?
HYDERABAD, India – Calvary Temple is India's largest church with more than 300,000 members. Now, it's on a mission to build 40 more megachurches in the next 10 years. Most roads in Hyderabad on Sundays lead to Calvary Temple. Shortly after 4 a.m., side streets around the church here are already jammed.  As church volunteers coordinate traffic, shuttle buses, auto rickshaws, and motorcycles ferry thousands of people, all trying to get here two hours ahead of Calvary's first of five services that begin at 6 a.m. By sunrise, the faithful have taken their seats.  The main sanctuary holds 18,000 people supported by adjacent Bethlehem Hall with 15,000 and a third structure accommodating more than 3,000 more.  Hundreds more watch on television screens scattered around the sprawling Calvary campus.

Pastor Satish Kumar preaches all five services with the last one ending at 8 p.m. "I've been given the grace to pastor this church which is beyond my dream and imagination," Pastor Kumar told CBN News. Calvary Temple started in 2005 with about two dozen people. Today, it boasts more than 300,000 members making it one of the largest churches in the world. They have 11 satellite churches with plans for more nationwide expansion. "God put a burden in my heart to establish 40 mega churches just like what you see here during the next 10 years," said Kumar. Pastor Kumar says the church adds some 3,000 new believers each month in a sign that the Lord is moving mightily across the country. "God's hand is upon India, it's a time for India to reach the lost, not only within the country but across the globe," Kumar said. In addition, the church produces over 650 TV programs each month in 17 of the country's major languages for broadcast on national television. "It's not only within the nation, but also in Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Gulf countries," said Kumar. (CBN) Read More and Watch Interview Here.

Scripture: Let us fix our eyes on Jesus. Hebrews 12:2

Lyrics:
O soul, are you weary and troubled?
No light in the darkness you see?
There’s a light for a look at the Savior,
And life more abundant and free!

Refrain
Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of the world will grow strangely dim
In the light of His glory and grace

Through death into life everlasting
He passed, and we follow Him there;
Over us sin no more hath dominion—
For more than conquerors we are!

Refrain

His Word shall not fai you—He promised;
Believe Him, and all will be well:
Then go to a world that is dying,
His perfect salvation to tell!
