Rep Tenney nominates Trump for Nobel Peace Prize for 'historic' Abraham Accords

Effort to create Abraham Accords 'were unprecedented,' she says
|
|
Just days after three American soldiers were killed by Iranian proxies, Rep. Claudia Tenney, R-N.Y., nominated former President Trump for a Nobel Peace Prize, citing his "historic" Abraham Accords treaty.
"Donald Trump was instrumental in facilitating the first new peace agreements in the Middle East in almost 30 years," Tenney told Fox News Digital in a statement. "For decades, bureaucrats, foreign policy 'professionals', and international organizations insisted that additional Middle East peace agreements were impossible without a resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. President Trump proved that to be false."
The Nobel Peace Prize acknowledged the peace accord between Israel and Egypt in 1978 as well as the Oslo Accords in 1994. However, there has been no recognition for Trump's role in brokering an agreement between Israel and four of its Arab neighbors aimed at normalizing diplomatic and economic relations between the nations, Tenney noted. Video shows dozens of migrants delivered to border before entering US illegally

The migrants in the group consisted of nationals from China, Turkey, Brazil and India

Video from Jacumba, California shows the moment two large SUVs pull up to the border before dozens of migrants get out and cross into the U.S. illegally.
Jacumba is in the eastern portion of San Diego County and is monitored by the Border Patrol’s San Diego sector.
The sector has seen a big uptick in border crossings in recent days as Texas continues efforts to lock down its southern border with Mexico.
In a video shot by FOX Nation’s Bud Knapp, dozens of migrants are seen leaving the area of two large SUVs and walking toward the border wall.
As the migrants reach the end of the wall section, they are then seen turning the corner and entering the U.S. illegally.
The migrants then realize they are being recorded and begin jogging, and the two SUVs leave the area.
Knapp said people in the group included nationals from China, Turkey, Brazil and India, adding that there was only one Border Patrol agent nearby when the crossing took place. (Fox News) Read more here.

NATO supports US efforts to minimize Iran's threat to Middle East
|
|
|
Iran is responsible for destabilizing the whole region and threatening stability and security in the Middle East through its proxy groups, said the NATO Secretary General.
|

The US will hold Iran responsible and respond decisively to any aggression, Secretary of State Antony Blinken said Monday during a joint press conference with NATO Secretary General Jens Soltenberg.
"At the same time, we remain focused on our core objectives in the region, both in terms of the conflict in Gaza and broader efforts to build truly durable peace and security," Blinken said.
Blinken said the Biden administration is intent on standing up for US troops when they're attacked while also working to prevent the conflict from spreading.
Blinken said the US will respond to Iran at a "time and place" of our choosing.
"I can again tell you that as the President said yesterday, we will respond and that response could be multi-leveled, come in stages, and be sustained over time," Blinken said. (Jerusalem Post) Read more here.

1. Gallant's proposal to Netanyahu and Gantz: agree on a date for elections - Israel National News
Minister of Defense Yoav Gallant in recent days has proposed to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Minister Benny Gantz to hold elections half a year after the end of the war or in two years from now, whichever comes first, Channel 12 reported on Tuesday.
The goal, according to the report, is to neutralize concerns and suspicions between Netanyahu and Gantz, as well as Netanyahu's concern that Otzma Yehudit may leave the government.
The proposal also states that members of Gantz's party would receive ministerial positions, and not just ministers without portfolios in the War Cabinet as they currently are. (Read more)

2. Gallant: IDF to retain security control in Gaza after Hamas defeated - JNS
The Israel Defense Forces will retain full security control over the Gaza Strip after the war with Hamas ends, giving it the freedom to operate there similarly to the way it currently does in Judea and Samaria, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant told Israeli lawmakers on Tuesday.
“After the war, when it’s over, I think it’s completely clear that Hamas won’t control Gaza. Israel will control [it] militarily, but won’t control it in a civilian sense,” Gallant told members of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee during a briefing at his Tel Aviv office.
“When we’re talking about military freedom of operation, look what happened tonight in Jenin,” said Gallant, referring to an IDF raid on the Ibn Sina hospital in the Samaria city on Monday. During the raid, Israeli forces killed three members of a Hamas cell planning imminent terror attacks, according to the IDF. (Read more)

3. Netanyahu: No withdrawal from Gaza or freeing many terrorists for hostages - JNS
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday pledged not to free large numbers of Palestinian terrorists or withdraw troops from Gaza as part of a hostage deal with the Hamas terrorist organization.
“We will not withdraw the Israel Defense Forces from the Gaza Strip and we will not release thousands of terrorists. None of this will happen,” Netanyahu told students and staff during a visit to the Bnei David pre-military academy in Eli in Samaria’s Binyamin region.
“I hear talk about all kinds of deals. I would like to make it clear: We will not conclude this war without achieving all of its goals. This means eliminating Hamas, returning all of our hostages and ensuring that Gaza never again constitutes a threat to Israel,” the premier said. (Read more)

4. IDF confirms planned early enlistment of some 1,300 recruits - Times of Israel
The army will hold an early recruitment in March of some 1,300 Israelis currently enrolled in pre-army, yeshiva and community service programs, the IDF and Defense Ministry announce in a joint statement.
Most of the Israelis are slated to finish their programs at the end of the academic year in June and then enlist sometime after that, depending on their IDF track. The announcement confirms previous reports that discussions on the matter between IDF officials and the administrators of pre-army programs have taken place.
The purpose of the early recruitment “is to strengthen combat units in light of the needs of battle… against the backdrop of the war, the turnover of casualties and the necessity to fill the ranks and expand combat forces,” the statement says. (Read more)

5. Hamas chief says he may consider Paris hostage deal - World Israel News
Ismail Haniyeh, the Qatar-based head of the Hamas political bureau said he will visit Cairo to discuss the hostage release deal negotiated on Sunday in Paris, Ynet reports.
This announcement comes after Hamas said on Monday evening they would reject any deal that wouldn’t entail a permanent ceasefire and a withdrawal of Israeli troops from the Gaza Strip.
Although Haniyeh said that the permanent ceasefire was still a condition of Hamas agreeing to the deal, the fact that the Hamas leader is traveling to Paris to discuss the deal further may signal a willingness to negotiate the terms.
Although Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu initially called the deal “constructive” on Sunday, commenting on the remaining “significant gaps,” on Tuesday, he reaffirmed that Israel would not agree to a permanent ceasefire or the release of thousands of Palestinian prisoners as required by the deal. 1. Congress Sets Date for Mayorkas Impeachment Over the Border Crisis and Illegal Immigration - ACLJ
The House Homeland Security Committee will vote on January 30 on the articles of impeachment of Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas over the border crisis and illegal immigration.
The Hill reports on the announcement:
“Our thorough and fair investigation exposed Secretary Mayorkas’ abuse of power and refusal to comply with the law. In November, 201 Democrats voted to refer articles of impeachment against the secretary to our Committee and, having completed impeachment hearings earlier this month, we plan to mark up those articles next week,” committee Chair Mark Green (R-Tenn.) said in a statement.
As you know, the illegal immigration numbers are out of control. Last month, 302,000 migrant encounters took place – a record high. On top of that, 2.4 million apprehensions occurred in the 2023 fiscal year. (Read more)

2. Huge column of black smoke rises over burning chicken farm in Texas - The Daily Mail
A massive fire is tearing through a chicken farm in Texas sending a huge plume of smoke into the sky. The inferno at Feather Crest Farms in Bryan - about 100 miles outside of Houston - began at about 5pm on Monday.
The blaze has since been contained between two buildings and tanks but officials have warned that it could take days to put the fire out. It is unclear how the fire started and how many chickens were injured, but no injuries have been reported as the farm is located in a rural area with few homes nearby.
Brazos County Sheriff Wayne Dicky said that Democrat Road was closed Monday but that hat all lanes on Highway 21 were re-opened. Authorities have urged people to stop pulling over in the area to take photos of the fast-spreading fire. (Read more)

3. Parents of fallen soldier remember daughter killed in drone strike: 'I just miss her' - Fox News
The parents of one of the U.S. soldiers killed in a drone strike in Jordan spoke out Tuesday morning about the loss of their daughter, who was tragically killed alongside two of her fellow soldiers in Jordan.
Spc. Kennedy Ladon Sanders of Waycross, Ga., was killed alongside 23-year-old Spc. Breonna Alexsondria Moffett and 46-year-old Sgt. William Jerome Rivers during the drone attack near the Syrian border over the weekend.
Kennedy's parents, Oneida and Shawn Sanders joined "Fox & Friends" to discuss the unexpected loss and how they want America to respond to the deadly attack that took their daughter's life.
"As a grieving parent, I would not want to see any other parent go through what we're going through right now, but given the circumstances, our child and the others who lost their lives are considered heroes in this situation," Oneida said. "However, the President of the United States decides to respond, it won't change our situation at all."
She added, "Whatever is decided, I trust that it'll be a good decision that keeps everyone in the safest position." (Read more)

4. Elon Musk announces company has implanted brain chip in its first human subject - DML News
Brain chip start-up Neuralink implanted a device in its first live human subject Sunday, Elon Musk, the company’s founder, said on social media. The patient “is recovering well,” Musk wrote Monday, adding that initial data from the device was promising.
Placed in the part of the brain that plans movements, the device is designed to interpret a person’s neural activity, so they can control external devices such as a smartphone or computer with their thoughts, Neuralink’s website says. The device is currently in clinical trials, which are open to some individuals who have quadriplegia due to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) or a spinal cord injury, according to a recruitment pamphlet.
Musk said Monday that the first Neuralink product will be called Telepathy and initially used by people who have lost the ability to use their limbs. “Imagine if Stephen Hawking could communicate faster than a speed typist or auctioneer,” he wrote. “That’s the goal.”

5. Sen. Elizabeth Warren pushes Fed Chair Powell to cut ‘astronomical’ rates, ease housing pressure - CNBC
Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., and three other Democratic lawmakers are pushing Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell to lower interest rates at the upcoming Fed meeting to make housing more affordable.
“As the Fed weighs its next steps in the new year, we urge you to consider the effects of your interest rate decisions on the housing market,” the senators wrote in a letter to Powell on Sunday.
“The direct effect of these astronomical rates has been a significant increase in the overall home purchasing cost to the average consumer,” the letter said.
“We have received the letter and plan to respond,” a Fed spokesperson told CNBC.
Expensive housing costs have contributed to lagging public sentiment on the economy, a top voting issue that has weighed on President Joe Biden’s 2024 reelection campaign. (Read more)

6. US economy set to 'slow noticeably' as consumer spending loses steam - Fox Business
The U.S. economy is set to cool considerably in the coming months as once-rampant spending by American consumers finally comes to an end, according to Wells Fargo. In a recent note to clients, Wells Fargo senior global market strategist Scott Wren warned that retail spending is likely to slow over the course of 2024 as the job market eases and layoffs start to rise.
"Americans with jobs and money in their pockets are going to spend," Wren wrote. "However, as the economy slows as we move through the middle portion of this year and the labor market softens, we continue to believe the holiday spending that occurred last year was a bit of a last hurrah for the consumer."
Consumer spending helped to power the economic engine for most of 2023, even as shoppers battled high inflation and interest rates. A recent government report showed the economy grew 3.3% during the fourth quarter, fueled in part by solid consumer spending. (Read more)

7. Enemy drone’s lethal attack on US soldiers traced to confusion and failure to intercept - DML News
The U.S. failed to stop a deadly attack on an American military outpost in Jordan when the enemy drone approached its target at the same time a U.S. drone was also returning to base, U.S. officials said Monday. The return of the U.S. drone led to some confusion over whether the incoming drone was friend or foe, officials have concluded so far.
The enemy drone was launched from Iraq by a militia backed by Tehran, U.S. officials said. The outpost, Tower 22, sits in Jordan, near the borders of Iraq and Syria.
The report explains that the drone struck the living quarters for the American troops, killing three and wounding dozens more. According to an American defense official on Monday, the U.S. has not yet found evidence that would prove Iran orchestrated the attack. (Read more)

8. CDC Issues ‘Health Alert’ Over Measles Cases Across US - Epoch Times
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on Thursday sent a notice to health care providers to “stay alert for measles cases” after multiple outbreaks were reported in recent weeks along with an instance where an “international traveler” may have exposed thousands to the virus at two Washington-area airports.
The agency’s alert said that between Dec. 1, 2023, and Jan. 23 of this year, it received reports of 23 confirmed measles cases, “including seven direct importations of measles by international travelers and two outbreaks with more than five cases each.”
In the alert, it said that health care providers should take note of patients who have febrile rash symptoms as well as other related measles symptoms such as a cough or conjunctivitis or have recently traveled outside the United States, namely in countries with measles outbreaks. (Read more)

Democrats and moderate Republicans don’t seem too concerned about the invasion from the South of illegal immigrants coming across the US borders. Corporate leaders, as represented by organizations such as the US Chamber of Commerce, are welcoming of the refreshed low-earning, non-skilled labor market. The World Economic Forum (WEF) is all in on global migration. A recent New York Times article says the Democratic Party stance on illegal immigration is “a humanitarian case for allowing poor people to improve their lives by moving to the U.S. To put it another way, many Democratic politicians favor higher levels of immigration than federal law allows.” The wording here is revealing.
In January 2021, US Chamber of Commerce CEO Thomas J. Donohue welcomed Joe Biden’s border policies, saying, “The changes proposed in President Biden’s legislative plan would help many businesses meet their critical workforce needs. Having the world’s most talented and industrious people contribute to our economy drives growth, and in turn, creates jobs for hardworking Americans.” The WEF cites that the aging population in developed countries leaves a workforce deficit of 30 million jobs in the world’s 30 largest economies. WEF says these jobs only can be filled by the largest youth generation in the world’s history, of which 90% live in developing countries. WEF says migration is a must for economic sustainability. Coast Guard seizes more than $55M worth of cocaine, marijuana in Florida drug trafficking bust
|

|
A U.S. Coast Guard crew offloaded about $55 million worth of cocaine and marijuana in Florida on Monday following a 60-day counterdrug patrol.
The Cutter Resolute (WMEC 620) crew stopped two suspected drug trafficking ventures, preventing 6,565 pounds of marijuana and roughly 3,700 pounds of cocaine from entering the U.S. while on patrol in support of Joint Interagency Task Force - South. The crew also detained six suspected drug traffickers.
The drugs were seized in the international waters of the Eastern Pacific Ocean, according to the Coast Guard.
"The pride and dedication of Resolute’s crew was evident throughout the entirety of our patrol," Cmdr. Matthew Kolodica, commanding officer of Resolute, said in a news release. "Despite being deployed throughout the holiday season, the crew served with professionalism."
"The result of their collected effort was an extremely successful patrol which kept $55 million of drugs from reaching its intended destination," he continued. "Every Resolute sailor and their loved ones should be proud; they are a living example of the Coast Guard’s motto, 'Semper Paratus – Always Ready.' It is an honor to lead such a fine ship and crew." A brilliant but relatively unknown author and teacher referred to classical Jewish sources that described the tumultuous end of days in terms that were disturbingly similar to current events. The Zohar describes an unmistakable sign that heralds the appearance of the Messiah: the Star of Jacob first described in the Bible by Balaam. The Zohar gives a precise day and date that this pre-Messiah astral body will appear and recently, astronomers confirmed that on that precise date, a comet will appear in the heavens.
Efraim Palvanov, a teacher and author, writes the blog Mayim Achronim (Final Waters), named for the little-known Jewish ritual of washing the fingers after a meal. Like the eponymous mitzvah, the blog covers Jewish subjects that are misunderstood or not normally discussed. In a recent lecture, Palvanov described the current wars, in Ukraine and Israel, as being consistent with end-of-days predictions recorded in classical Jewish literature.
“I found something a few weeks ago that just really blew me away and I’ve been really excited to share it,” Palvanov said in the video. “But I’m gonna leave that to the end. We’ll save the best for last.”So don’t fall asleep.”
Palvanov referred to lectures he gave two years ago during the pandemic in which he suggested that the world was in the pre-messiah period. This part of the lecture was described in an Israel365 News article last week. In the lecture, Palvanov explained that the current war in Ukraine and the more recent war in Israel were explicitly described in Jewish sources as being part of the Final Redemption. One of the sources, a midrash from Pirkei D’Rabbi Eliezer chapter 30, described three wars the “sons of Ishmael” (i.e. the Arabs) will wage in the end of days based on a verse in Isaiah:

Samaritan’s Purse Provides Ambulances in Honor of Fallen Israeli Medics

Samaritan’s Purse President Franklin Graham joined hundreds of Israeli citizens on Jan. 23 to dedicate 14 new ambulances for Magen David Adom, the nation’s emergency medical services provider. Graham honored the sacrifices of 19 members of Magen David Adom who have been killed since Oct. 7, the start of the current Israel-Hamas war.
All 14 ambulances dedicated today were provided by Samaritan’s Purse and dedicated in memory of the fallen. Samaritan’s Purse will also be providing seven additional ambulances, with armor plating, to Magen David Adom.
“Some may ask, why are we doing this?” Graham said. “I’m an evangelical Christian who loves Israel. I believe the Bible teaches that Israel is God’s people. There have been many battles that Israel has had to fight for its freedom.
The 14 ambulances, uparmored to defend against Hamas attacks, will help protect Magen David Adom members as they render aid to the wounded.
“My father [Billy Graham] supported Israel. He believed the Bible. I believe the Bible, and I believe every word of the Bible. I don’t understand it all, but I believe it,” Graham said at the National Library in Jerusalem. “We give God the glory. The funds to pay for these ambulances came from Christian people. So, we dedicate these ambulances to God, to His glory, and we honor those who have lost their lives.” Read More and Watch Video>
