Trump Praised for Defunding International Planned Parenthood, Stopping Tax-Funded Abortions
|

|
President Donald Trump is getting praise from pro-life groups for two of his 9 pro-life actions he took during his first week in office. Specifically, pro-life groups are praising his executive orders defunding International Planned Parenthood and enforcing the Hyde Amendment. As LifeNews reported, Trump signed an executive order to enforce the Hyde Amendment, reinforcing the prohibition of federal funds for elective abortions. This action underscores the administration’s commitment to preventing taxpayer dollars from being used to fund killing babies in abortions.
The Hyde Amendment, first enacted in 1976, has been a longstanding policy barring the use of federal funds for abortions, except in very rare emergency cases. Trump’s executive order not only reaffirms this policy but also revokes previous executive orders that sought to protect access to abortion, thereby reversing this part of Joe Biden’s radical abortion agenda. Also, Trump revoked Biden’s executive order canceling the Mexico City Policy. During his first week in office last term, Trump signed the Mexico City policy in one of his first acts as president. The pro-life policy prohibits American tax dollars to groups that promote or provide abortions overseas. The move defunded two major abortion chains of hundreds of millions of American tax dollars. Trump Pauses Tariffs on Mexico and Canada After Border Agreements Reached

Both nations will each send 10,000 personnel to secure their shared borders with the United States in response to President Trump’s 25 percent tariff orders.

Leaders of Mexico and Canada agreed on Feb. 3 to strengthen border security in exchange for a pause on the trade policies after U.S. President Donald Trump threatened to impose 25 percent tariffs on products coming from the two countries.
“Tariffs are very powerful, both economically and in getting everything else you want,” Trump said on Feb. 3 while signing executive orders in the Oval Office.
Trump issued executive orders on Feb. 1, set to take effect Feb. 4, levying tariffs on goods from the two U.S. border nations due to illegal immigration and fentanyl trafficking flowing into the United States. Canada and Mexico said they would take their own retaliatory actions against the U.S. tariffs.
With hours to spare before the tariffs were imposed, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced on the social media platform X that he had agreed to a deal during a “good call with President Trump” to pause the fees for 30 days.
In exchange, Canada has agreed to appoint a “fentanyl czar,” invest $139 million (C$200 million) in intelligence operations targeting fentanyl, designate cartels as terrorist organizations, and establish a partnership with the U.S. Joint Strike Force to fight fentanyl trafficking, organized crime, and money laundering, Trudeau said.
Trudeau also repeated his country’s $900 million (C$1.3 billion) plan to secure the border, and said as part of this plan around 10,000 frontline personnel will be working to protect the border. (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

- Mighty God, we thank You that President Trump knows how to push forward a hard bargain successfully and is willing to do so on behalf of our nation. The illegal immigration, the illegal drugs and the illegal human trafficking must be brought to a stop and the only way for that to happen is for everyone to work together on both sides of the border. We are blessed to see the leaders of the neighboring nations, Mexico and Canada, come to the table of negotiation with President Trump. It certainly appears that they have made successful progress on all sides and we are relieved to see a powerful, concerted effort to bring these foul activities under law, in Jesus name.

Secretary of State Rubio Confirms He’s Now Acting USAID Chief
|

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Monday confirmed he’s now the acting head of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) amid public comments about the future of the foreign aid organization.
While speaking to reporters in El Salvador, Rubio confirmed he would be in charge of the agency, saying at one point that “I am the acting director” of USAID.
“I have delegated that authority to someone ... I stay in touch with him,” he added. Rubio did not name the delegated person. The Epoch Times contacted the State Department for comment Monday.
“USAID is not functioning. It has to be aligned with US policy. It needs to be aligned with the national interest of the U.S.,” Rubio said. “They’re not a global charity—these are taxpayer dollars. People are asking simple questions. What are they doing with the money? We are spending taxpayers money. We owe the taxpayers assurances that it furthers our national interest.”
Rubio also told reporters that he’s been frustrated with USAID for years, dating back to his time in Congress, and suggested the agency wasn’t cooperative with the State Department’s directive. He also disputed claims that the agency works as an independent entity and can set its own policy, pointing out on multiple occasions that it uses taxpayer funding.

- We bless You Father, for giving authority to leaders like Marco Rubio who will actually work on behalf of we, the people, to protect and guide the wise use of our tax dollars and national resources in the world at large. There has been much scuttlebutt about the ways in which this agency has worked internationally and it must be brought to heel, in Jesus name. We pray for every team leader to be on the right side of the law and justice, and that this agency no longer has the influence or taskmasters it has had in the past, in Jesus name.

US to Withdraw Again From UN Human Rights Council, End Funding to UNRWA

The United States will withdraw again from the U.N. Human Rights Council (UNHRC) and end funding to the U.N. agency dealing with Palestinian refugees, a White House official told The Epoch Times. The United States withdrew from the UNHRC and ended funding to the U.N. Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) in 2018. The Biden administration reversed both moves in 2021, although it paused funding to the UNRWA in 2024 because of allegations that several of its employees were involved in Hamas’s Oct. 7, 2023, attack on Israel. Those employees have been fired.
The UNHRC and the UNRWA have come under fire by critics who say that both have expressed hostility toward Israel.
The UNHRC, according to the group, is “responsible for strengthening the promotion and protection of human rights around the globe and for addressing situations of human rights violations and making recommendations on them.” Critics have pointed out that the UNHRC has included countries that violate human rights. Human rights are really quite clear-cut and every nation has a responsibility to protect and defend the life, beliefs and basic freedoms of its citizens, in Jesus' name. We have watched this organization turn a blind eye to the cruelties and persecutions committed by many nations world-wide and it's time for UNRWA to be held accountable for its actions and complicities, in Jesus' name.

1. Countering Trump, Saudi Arabia says no Israel normalization without Palestinian state - Times of Israel
WASHINGTON — Saudi Arabia reiterated its stance against normalizing relations with Israel before a two-state solution has been reached, after US President Donald Trump said Tuesday that Riyadh has not made the establishment of a Palestinian state a condition for a peace deal with Israel.
A statement from Saudi Arabia’s foreign ministry said the kingdom’s stance in favor of a Palestinian state on the pre-1967 lines with East Jerusalem as its capital is “firm and unwavering.”
The statement was issued after 4 a.m. in Riyadh, demonstrating the urgency with which the kingdom felt in responding to Trump. (Read more)

2. 2 IDF soldiers killed, 6 wounded in terrorist shooting in Jordan Valley - World Israel News
At least two Israeli soldiers were killed and eight wounded, including two seriously, in a terrorist shooting attack in the Jordan Valley area of Samaria Tuesday morning.
The attack occurred just after 6:00 a.m. Monday when an Arab terrorist opened fire on a group of IDF soldiers securing a checkpoint outside of the Palestinian Authority-administered town of Tayasir east of Tubas, on the edge of an area in Samaria where the Israeli military and Shin Bet internal security agency have been conducting a major counter-terror operation since January.
As the terrorist fired at the checkpoint, IDF soldiers stationed in the area returned fire, fatally wounding the gunman.
An IDF spokesperson confirmed the attack, saying: “A terrorist fired at soldiers at an army position in Tayasir. The soldiers responded with gunfire against the terrorist and eliminated him. (Read more)

Foreign Minister Gideon Saar declared Wednesday that Israel will withdraw from the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC), aligning with the United States' stance of non-participation in the organization. In a pointed critique, Saar characterized the council as a platform that systematically undermines Israel's diplomatic standing while failing to address genuine human rights concerns globally.
Saar argued forcefully that the council serves as a mechanism for protecting human rights violators, enabling them to evade international scrutiny. He specifically condemned the body for "obsessively demonizing the one democracy in the Middle East - Israel," rather than genuinely addressing worldwide human rights challenges.
The most striking statistic Saar presented was the disproportionate number of condemnatory resolutions targeting Israel. Over 100 resolutions have been passed against the country, representing more than 20% of all council resolutions – a number that surpasses the combined total of resolutions against Iran, Cuba, North Korea, and Venezuela. 4. World Largely Rejects Trump’s Relocation Plan for Gaza, Demands Two-State Solution -Algemeiner
JNS.org — Global reaction came swiftly on Wednesday to US President Donald Trump’s call for Gazans to be relocated out of the Strip, which he described as a “demolition site” — with most, if not all, countries panning the idea.
Trump proposed that ownership of the Strip be transferred to the United States, which would rebuild it.
“This was not a decision made lightly,” he said. “Everybody I’ve spoken to loves the idea of the United States owning that piece of land, developing and creating thousands of jobs with something that will be magnificent in a really magnificent area that nobody would know.”
Palestinians could be located to various locales. “It could be numerous sites or it could be one large site, but the people will be able to live in comfort and peace,” Trump said. “We’ll make sure something really spectacular is done.”
Most countries, which have embraced a two-state solution whereby a Palestinian state would be established adjoining the Jewish state in territories liberated by Israel in the 1967 Six Day War, expressed a mixture of incredulity and indignation. (Read more)

5. Israel finishes testing 22 technologies for stopping drone attacks - Jerusalem Post
The Defense Ministry on Wednesday announced that it completed a series of tests of 22 technologies for preventing drone attacks relating to nine defense companies working on the issue in parallel.
Sources said that at least some of the methods of defense from drones that were tested successfully involved kinetic shoot-downs.
Despite the claimed success, no defense officials would confirm a period of months, not even six months off, for a date when the new systems would be reliable and operational on a wide basis.
Defense Minister Israel Katz said "in the near term," but top defense officials have been using such non-committal catch-phrases for well over half a year, including periods of time when Hezbollah drones repeatedly struck and killed Israelis. (Read more)

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth on Monday visited the southern border, declaring a "new era of determination" as the Trump administration doubles down on its efforts to secure the border and stop illegal immigration.
"Because of President Donald Trump, this is a new era at the southern border, a new era of determination, a new era of cooperation. And at the Defense Department, we are proud to be a part of it," Hegseth told reporters at a press conference in El Paso, Texas after Hegseth had toured the border. Hegseth emphasized that, rather than focusing on foreign territory, the administration wanted to focus first on U.S. sovereignty.
"Guys and gals of my generation have spent decades in foreign countries guarding other people's borders. It's about time we secure our own border," he said. Trump deployed the U.S. military to the border on his first day in office, with over 1,500 troops joining forcesalready there. 2. The FBI Just Quietly Revealed That It Has a Real-Life UFO Office - Yahoo News
Amid the Pentagon's years-long probes into the unexplained and unidentified, the FBI has been quietly running its own secret office investigating so-called "unidentified anomalous phenomena."
Yes, let's get this out of the way: that's basically the plot of the 90s television show "The X-Files."
But buried in a new Politico story about concerns that UFO-hunting agents may soon be caught up in a purge is a jarring revelation: that such an office exists within the bureau —the "existence" of which had "not been disclosed publicly before," per the outlet's reporting.
It was previously known that the Pentagon had a similar group. Known as the All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), that office deals with UAP sightings from military officials. There doesn't appear to be any other known counterpart in civilian branches of government.
In a statement to Politico, the FBI confirmed the existence of the office but refused to comment further, including to say how many members it has or how long it has been investigating UAPs in an organized manner. (Read more)

3. CIA offers buyout to entire workforce - DML News
The Central Intelligence Agency offered buyouts to its entire workforce Tuesday, in what officials said is a bid to bring the agency in line with President Trump’s priorities, including targeting drug cartels.
The CIA appeared to be the first intelligence agency to tell its employees that they can quit their jobs and receive about eight months of pay and benefits as part of Trump’s push to downsize the federal government. The offer last month made to most civilian federal agencies exempted some categories of federal workers, including those with national security roles.
The agency is also freezing the hiring of job seekers already given a conditional offer, an aide to CIA Director John Ratcliffe said. Some are likely to be rescinded if the applicants don’t have the right background for the agency’s new goals, which also include Trump’s trade war and undermining China, the aide said. (Read more)

4. Democrats threaten to obstruct Trump's agenda over Musk's DOGE efforts - ABC News
Democratic lawmakers continue to protest tech billionaire Elon Musk’s sweeping influence over government decisions and material, with protests, proposed legislation and other attempts to obstruct President Donald Trump's agenda and the efforts of his close ally to cut what the Trump administration considers wasteful spending.
Dozens of lawmakers appeared Tuesday at a “Nobody Elected Elon” rally outside the Treasury Department, each delivering fiery attacks directed toward Trump and Musk. They described Musk’s action as a “heist,” a “takeover” and an “abuse of power.”
Rep. Ayanna Pressley went as far as calling Musk a “Nazi nepo baby.”
Democrats have pushed back against Musk and his Department of Government Efficiency’s efforts, mounting growing protests, introducing legislation and threatening to try to derail his agenda by holding up confirmation of his appointees. (Read more)

5. More than 1,000 EPA employees are told they could be dismissed immediately - NBC News
The Trump administration has notified more than 1,000 employees at the Environmental Protection Agency that they could be dismissed immediately. Workers who’ve been at the agency less than one year received an email last week notifying them that they had been identified as employees that were likely on a “probationary/ trial period,” according to an email reviewed by NBC News.
“As a probationary/ trial period employee, the agency has the right to immediately terminate you,” the email says. “The process for probationary removal is that you receive a notice of termination, and your employment is ended immediately.”
About 1,100 employees received the email, according to Marie Owens Powell, president of the American Federation of Government Employees Council 238, a union that represents about 8,500 EPA staffers. Powell said she had received the list of employees from the agency.
“No probationary employee has been let go yet,” Powell said. “It was scary for people to receive the message, as you can imagine, and we’re inundated with questions from those folks. The agency obviously can dismiss probationary employees, but it has to be for cause.” (Read more)

6. Trump withdraws from 2 UN bodies, orders review of UNESCO - The Hill
President Trump on Tuesday signed an executive order withdrawing the U.S. from the United Nations Human Rights Council and from participating in UNRWA, the U.N. agency for Palestinian refugees. Trump also directed the U.S. to review its participation in the U.N.’s Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the body that uses culture and history as a bridge-building mechanism between nations.
“I’ve always felt that the U.N. has tremendous potential. It’s not living up to that potential right now. It really hasn’t for a long time,” Trump said in remarks from the Oval Office on Tuesday.
“There are great hopes for it, but it’s not being well-run, to be honest.” While the orders were billed as pushing back on “anti-American bias” at the U.N., they were signed shortly before Trump met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Trump halted funds for UNRWA during his first term. President Biden put a block on U.S. funds for UNRWA in January 2024 over allegations that staff for the agency participated in Hamas’s Oct. 7, 2023, attack against Israel. Those funds were never reinstated when Biden left office. (Read more)

Stupidocrisy: Warpspeeding Stargate

President Trump’s first half-month in office has been a lion’s roar against big government, statism, the deep state, illegal immigration and lawfare in the justice system. There is, however, one area in which he would be wise to pump the brakes—Stargate. He has announced a $500 BILLION project to harness artificial intelligence and embed this technology into the infrastructure of America. Tech giants Oracle, Open AI, Microsoft, and Softbank are named as initial technology partners that will build and expand artificial intelligence data centers beginning in Abilene, Tx. The venture is expected to create more than 100,000 jobs. The government is fast tracking the project through executive orders.
We need look no further than 2020 to see what happens when fast tracking technology that can do more harm than good. The mRNA serum that was developed in Operation Warpspeed did not prevent the spread of COVID 19, nor cure the virus, and it proved to be neither safe nor effective. What it did prove to be was a trojan horse of toxins injected into people’s bodies that have caused a myriad of health problems with those who were coerced into taking the shot. It was a clear example of why these technology companies cannot be trusted. The U.S. will "take over the Gaza Strip," level it and rebuild the area, President Donald Trump said during a press conference Tuesday evening after meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House.
"The U.S. will take over the Gaza Strip, and we will do a job with it, too," Trump said Tuesday evening in a joint press conference with Netanyahu. "We'll own it and be responsible for dismantling all of the dangerous, unexplored bombs and other weapons on the site."
"Level the site and get rid of the destroyed buildings, level it out, create an economic development that will supply unlimited numbers of jobs and housing for the people of the area," he said. "Do a real job. Do something different. Just can't go back. If you go back, it's going to end up the same way it has for 100 years."
Netanyahu, who joined Trump for the Tuesday press conference, is the first world leader to meet with the president at the White House under his second administration.
When asked about taking over the Gaza Strip, Trump said he could see the U.S. in a "long-term ownership position" of the piece of land, which would likely bring stability to the Middle East. (Fox News) Read more.

If Iran attempts assassination, 'they get obliterated': President Trump

'There won't be anything left,' President Trump noted
|
|
President Donald Trump said on Tuesday if Iran carries out his assassination, advisers will ensure that country is "obliterated."
While signing an executive order imposing maximum pressure on Tehran, the president said he left instructions if something were to happen to him.
"That would be a terrible thing for them to do," Trump said. "If they did that, they would be obliterated. That would be the end. … There won't be anything left."
The president said former President Joe Biden "should have said that," but did not, due to a "lack of intelligence."
The Justice Department confirmed in November it thwarted an Iranian plot to kill Trump in the weeks leading up to the presidential election.
A criminal complaint filed in September noted an official in Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps asked Farhad Shakeri, 51, of Iran, to "focus on surveilling, and, ultimately, assassinating" Trump.

Senate Approves Pam Bondi for New Attorney General

New Attorney General Pam Bondi on Wednesday ordered a review of the federal prosecution of Donald Trump as she unveiled a series of directives designed to overhaul a Justice Department the president claims is biased against conservatives.
Hours after she was sworn in at the White House, Bondi called for the creation of “weaponization working group” that will examine the work of special counsel Jack Smith, who charged Trump in two criminal cases. The group will also review the “pursuit of improper investigative tactics and unethical prosecutions" stemming from the Jan. 6, 2021 riot at the U.S. Capitol, among other things, according to the memo.
Bondi herself had foreshadowed the working group’s creation by asserting at her confirmation hearing last month that the Justice Department had “targeted Donald Trump.”
Bondi, who was Florida’s first female attorney general before becoming a lobbyist, is likely to be one of the most closely scrutinized members of Trump’s Cabinet, given her close relationship the president, who during his 2024 campaign suggested that he would try to exact revenge on his perceived enemies.
Before Bondi was sworn by Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas at the Oval Office early Wednesday, Trump praised Bondi's record as a prosecutor and said she will “end the weaponization of federal law enforcement." (NBC News) Read more.

Ice Storm Will Be Followed By Another Winter Storm This Weekend In Parts Of The Northeast, Midwest

At a Glance
- The first winter storm is expected Wednesday into Thursday in the Midwest and Northeast.
- A second winter storm will enter the West late week, then spread across the Midwest and Northeast over the weekend.
- Snow and ice from both systems will create hazardous travel conditions.
Storm No. 1: Wednesday-Thursday
Low pressure will haul in a slug of moisture toward cold high pressure, allowing ice and snow to develop in the Midwest, Great Lakes, mid-Atlantic and Northeast, especially by Wednesday night.
This first system has been named Winter Storm Freya by The Weather Channel.
Winter weather advisories have been issued for large parts of the Midwest, Appalachians, mid-Atlantic and Northeast, including Baltimore, Chicago, New York and Pittsburgh. Difficult travel conditions are possible in these areas.
Ice storm warnings are in effect for the central Appalachians. This area has the greatest chance to see power outages, tree damage and impossible travel because of heavier ice accumulations.
Storm No. 2: Thursday-Sunday
This second winter storm in a matter of days will enter the West late week and then affect the Midwest and Northeast over the weekend. It has been named Winter Storm Garnett by The Weather Channel.
