Russian Navy Cruisers Positioned to Counter U.S., French and Italian Carrier Groups in the Mediterranean
Three Russian guided-missile cruisers have been arrayed across the Black Sea and the Mediterranean Sea to counter three NATO carrier strike groups, causing concern in the Pentagon, a U.S. defense official told USNI News on Tuesday.

As of Monday, the three Slava-class cruisers were operating in and around the Aegean Sea – RTS Moskva (121) in the Black Sea, RFS Varyag (011) south of Italy and RTS Marshal Ustinov (055) off the coast of Syria, near Russia’s naval base in Tartus.

Moskva is based in the Black Sea, while Marshal Ustinov traveled from the Northern Fleet and Varyag from the Pacific Fleet. Ustinov and Varyag entered the Mediterranean from opposite ends earlier this month.

The three 11,500-ton Slavas were designed around launchers that can hold 16 SS-N-12 Sandbox anti-ship cruise missiles – each about the size of a telephone pole. Developed in the 1970s, the Slavas and the Sandboxes were designed to take on U.S. and NATO aircraft carriers by overwhelming them with a barrage of high-speed cruise missiles to sink ships.

The position of the cruisers around the Aegean is a complication for the U.S., Italian and French carrier strike groups that have been operating in the Mediterranean the last several weeks.

USS Harry S. Truman (CVN-75), its escorts and Carrier Air Wing 1 have been tasked by Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin since late December to remain on station in the region, as tensions between the West and Russia have been enflamed over Russian troops massed at the Russian border. Italian Navy F-35B aircraft carrier ITS Cavour (CVH-550) and French Navy carrier FS Charles de Gaulle (R 91) and their escorts are also operating in the Mediterranean. (USNI) Read more.

- A note to our intercessors: please (using your computer screen) lay hands on the map shown here, and pray a Psalm 91 protection prayer over the USS Harry S. Truman Aircraft Carrier. Pray, too, over the whole region in the language God has given you to use. Thank you.

Biden releases statement on escalating crisis in Ukraine

"The prayers of the entire world are with the people of Ukraine tonight as they suffer an unprovoked and unjustified attack by Russian military forces," President Biden said.

Biden contnued:

"President Putin has chosen a premeditated war that will bring a catastrophic loss of life and human suffering. Russia alone is responsible for the death and destruction this attack will bring, and the United States and its Allies and partners will respond in a united and decisive way. The world will hold Russia accountable.

"I will be monitoring the situation from the White House this evening and will continue to get regular updates from my national security team. Tomorrow, I will meet with my G7 counterparts in the morning and then speak to the American people to announce the further consequences the United States and our Allies and partners will impose on Russia for this needless act of aggression against Ukraine and global peace and security. We will also coordinate with our NATO Allies to ensure a strong, united response that deters any aggression against the Alliance. Tonight, Jill and I are praying for the brave and proud people of Ukraine." (Source: Fox News)

FOCUS ON ISRAEL

1. In 1st comments, Israel backs Ukrainian ‘sovereignty,’ with no mention of Russia - Times of Israel

In its first public statement on the ongoing crisis between Russia and Ukraine, Israel’s Foreign Ministry expressed “concern” over the “serious escalation,” but stopped short of naming Russia or condemning its actions.

“Israel shares the concern of the international community regarding the steps taken in eastern Ukraine and the serious escalation in the situation,” said a Foreign Ministry statement issued Wednesday afternoon. “Israel hopes for a diplomatic solution which will lead to calm, and is willing to help if asked.”

Israel also said it “supports the territorial integrity and the sovereignty of Ukraine,” and once again expressed concern for Israeli citizens and the Jewish community in the affected regions. (Read more)

2. Coalition ‘flees’ as opposition wins 13 votes at Knesset - World Israel News

Israel’s opposition parties were successful in passing a mass of 13 bills at the Knesset’s plenum on Wednesday, a significant blow to the morale of Naftali Bennett’s unstable coalition.

Following infighting between the governing coalition’s factions and announcements of boycott and counter-boycotts, the coalition told its members not to attend voting on the bills, as it did not have the required majority to control the room. Similarly, the coalition again decided to withdraw its motions after it realized it would not obtain a majority.

The members of the opposition presented 13 privates bills and won all of the votes. (Read more)

3. As Security Council Debates Middle East While Ukraine Crisis Intensifies, Israeli Envoy to UN Questions Its Priorities - Algemeiner

As Russian forces further tightened the noose around Ukraine’s borders on Wednesday, Israel’s Ambassador to the UN exasperatedly questioned the world body’s priorities as it held an open debate on the Middle East with a focus on alleged Israeli offenses.

“As we sit here debating legal disputes and false allegations, the clouds of unrest, violence, and war cast long shadows across the world,” Gilad Erdan, Israel’s Ambassador to the UN, told delegates meeting at the Security Council. “One might wonder what the urgency was to turn a closed monthly debate into an open one while such critical matters to global security are being discussed in the General Assembly as we speak.”

Erdan added that since the Middle East was the topic of conversation, attention needed to be focused on the Iranian regime, which he described as “the real threat to the region” and “the world’s number one state-sponsor of terror.” (Read more)

4. Netanyahu urges US Jews to fight Iran deal or risk nuke threat on NY, LA - Times of Israel

Opposition leader Benjamin Netanyahu accused American leaders of not doing enough to confront the Iranian nuclear threat with their full power, as negotiations progress on a potential renewal of a nuclear deal Netanyahu claimed will ultimately whitewash Iranian efforts to create a bomb.

“You’re postponing [nuclear capabilities] for a few years and giving it a kosher seal of international approval for Iran to develop nuclear weapons,” Netanyahu told representatives from the Conference of Presidents of Major Jewish Organizations, whose ongoing mission visited the Knesset on Tuesday.

“The prospect of marriage between nuclear weapons and militant Islam is the greatest danger the world faces. It’s the greatest danger we [as Israelis] face.” (Read more)

5. IDF Shoots Down Hamas Drone - Jewish Press

Israeli military forces shot down a Hamas drone Wednesday night as it was flying towards Israeli territory.

The drone, a quadcopter with four sets of propellers to allow it to hover like a helicopter, was similar to those sent by Hamas in past months.

Iran’s Lebanese proxy Hezbollah likewise has repeatedly attempted to penetrate Israeli territory with similar UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles).

The IDF said the drone was monitored throughout the incident, was shot down along Israel’s border with northern Gaza, in Gaza territory. (Read more)

1. Ukraine 'invasion' not new: Russia has had troops in Donbas for 8 years, U.S. official admits - Just The News

Amid charges from U.S. and foreign officials that Russia now has invaded eastern sectors of Ukraine, a senior administration official confirmed that Moscow has maintained forces inside the region for nearly a decade.

"Russian troops moving into Donbas would not itself be a new step," the official said. "Russia has had forces in the Donbas region for the past eight years." The official made the comments during a background briefing with reporters on Monday, and spoke on the condition of anonymity.

The comments seem to contradict official White House declarations that by sending in troops to the region, Russian President Vladimir Putin launched an incursion against its western neighbor. (Read more)
- Lord God, we just ask that you would shine your light in this Russia/Ukraine situation and expose the deception and the lies that are being told to us. We know that we are not getting the full story and we just seek you, seek your Word, and seek your truth during this time. We thank you that you are leading us into all truth and showing us exactly what is going on and how to pray about this situation. We ask all these things in Jesus name. amen.

2. CBS News Dragged For Suddenly Blaming Biden’s Supply Crisis On Russia - The Daily Caller

CBS News was hounded with criticism Wednesday after seeking to suddenly shift the blame for the Biden Administration’s supply-chain issues onto the growing conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

“The U.S. economy has been hit with increased gas prices, inflation, and supply-chain issues due to the Ukraine crisis,” CBS News tweeted Tuesday night. “Gas prices soar to record levels in California amid the Ukraine crisis,” ABC similarly tweeted Wednesday morning

The narrative shift on inflation and gas prices caused critics, like Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ communication director Christina Pushaw, to lambast the outlets for pushing “state-run” “propaganda” after previously acknowledging the growing inflation, gas prices, and supply-chain issues plaguing the Biden Administration. (Read more)

- Lord God we pray for an increase of discernment for all of your people all over the world. Deception is so strong right now and sometimes it is hard to tell what is right and what is wrong but we know that Your Spirit knows everything. So we commit to draw closer to you during this time and ground ourselves in your truth. In Jesus name amen.

- “Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth.” (John 17:17)

3. Pentagon authorizes use of 700 Guard members ahead of Biden speech, possible trucker convoy in D.C. - Just The News

The Defense Department has agreed to activate 700 National Guard members and 50 large tactical vehicles in Washington, D.C., ahead of President Biden's State of Union speech next week and a possible Canada-style trucker convoys protesting COVID-19 mandates and other issues.

Some of the guards will be deployed to provide support at traffic points, though they will not be armed, nor will they be granted authorization to conduct the activities of a law enforcement officer.
The department announced its decision Tuesday after receiving two requests for guard support.

The first was from the D.C. Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency, for which Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin approved 400 members of the D.C. National Guard. The second was from the U.S. Capitol Police, to which Lloyd has allocated 300 members from Guard units outside of the District of Columbia. (Read more)

4. Louisiana Decides To Suspend Use Of Soros-Funded Voter Roll Clean-Up Sytem – ERIC - World News

Over the past week, we released a three-part series on a corrupt Soros Open Society founded and funded voter roll clean-up system named ERIC.

The ERIC system is not performing as is advertised. In several states the ERIC system has not cleaned up voter rolls
The largest US counties removed only zero to two ineligible voters from their voter rolls in the last 4 years.

On Thursday Louisiana announced that they will no longer use the ERIC system. It is a broken application. Today the state of Louisiana said no more – they will stop using this scandalous system:

Secretary of State Kyle Ardoin has announced that Louisiana will suspend its participation in the Electronic Registration Information Center (ERIC), effective immediately. The announcement comes amid concerns raised by citizens, government watchdog organizations and media reports about potential questionable funding sources and that possibly partisan actors may have access to ERIC network data for political purposes, potentially undermining voter confidence.

- Lord God, thank you for the courageous and brave individuals who are doing everything they can to restore confidence in our election system. We pray that these successes continue to inspire others to make the same changes. In Jesus name amen. - “Be strong, and let your heart take courage, all you who wait for the Lord!” (Psalm 31:24)

5. Election watchdog: 'Not ready for 2024' elections, 'still have many of the same problems' from 2020 - Just The News

Election integrity issues from the 2020 presidential election have yet to be resolved, "so we are not ready for 2024," Phill Kline, Director of the Amistad Project, warned on Monday.

Kline was asked by "Just the News, Not Noise" TV show cohosts John Solomon and Amanda Head if election integrity issues had been solved after the 2020 election. "No, we still have many of the same problems," he replied, explaining that this is "because the legislatures have not taken the time to understand the problem."

"Georgia passed a law claiming they banned private money in elections," Kline said, referring to the election integrity law that Democrats claimed was "Jim Crow 2.0." "They actually codified it — they actually allowed Zuckerberg to do exactly what he did because they worded the law improperly, because they didn't ... take the time to understand the problem. So we are not ready for 2024." (Read more)

- Lord God we know we have a long way to go until this problem is completely resolved. We just speak your restoration and wholeness into this serious situation in the name of Jesus that it would be completely corrected and made whole. We pray that you would give our leaders everywhere the boldness and the courage to do what is right to make sure every citizen's vote counts and that our voices are truly represented in our election process. In Jesus name, amen.

- "Open your mouth, judge righteously, defend the rights of the poor and needy." (Proverbs 31:9)

6. CDC Quietly Admits Mask Mandates Delaying Childhood Development - Christianity Daily

The U.S.'s top pediatricians have updated the checklist of developmental milestones for infants and young children for the first time in decades. This checklist helps identify delays that could indicate signs of autism or other social-communication disabilities. But critics are pointing out that mask mandates are causing the delays in childhood development.

According to the Washington Post, the updates from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) were made with the American Academy of Pediatrics (APA). These updates included the increase of percentage of children who typically meet certain milestones from 50% to 75%, which they claim is "an important adjustment signifying that instead of just half, now the majority of children are capable of certain behaviors and achievements at specified ages."

Such development markers have not been updated since they were first released in 2004. The new milestones were published in Pediatrics this week, which indicates how the CDC quietly admits mask mandates are delaying childhood development. The new milestones were developed by Paul Lipkin, a pediatrician and director of medical outpatient services at the Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore and 12 other developmental experts and pediatricians. (Read more)

- Lord, You love children so much more than we could ever love them. We pray as they grow and develop, that they would gain wisdom to add to their learning. Give them a hunger and thirst to understand Your Word and a desire to walk with You. Help them to always know that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of You is true understanding.

- "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding." (Proverbs 9:10)

7. DeSantis pressed to veto bill preventing families from suing health providers over COVID - Just The News

At least 35 organizations have called on Gov. Ron DeSantis to veto a bill that would prevent patients and families from suing health-care providers over COVID-19-related injuries, deaths and lack of treatment.

The bill, SB 7014, “COVID-19-related Claims Against Health Care Providers,” was presented to the governor Feb. 17. He has until Thursday to veto, sign, or ignore it. By ignoring it, according to the state constitution, the bill would become law, effective immediately.

“We know you share with us the core values of protecting life, individual liberty and the freedom of medical choice,” R. Shawn McBride, with the American Freedom Information Institute, who signed the letter, said. “Yet what has happened – on countless occasions – and will continue to happen in Florida if this law is adopted, is that Floridians are being denied treatment, checked into hospitals and cut-off from their loved ones and medical decision makers. At that point the patient loses control and the hospital uses the protocols they decide in many cases not even following the patient's care decisions.” (Read more)

- Father God, we ask that You would move upon the heart of Governor DeSantis this very day to sign this bill.

- Lord God, there are no words to explain how evil and unjust this whole situation has been. We pray for every grieving family and every wounded heart, Lord, that you would let these families, who lost their love ones to a sick and evil agenda, be completely comforted  . . . tangibly feeling your love. And we declare that evil will not go unpunished and that vengeance is yours and that every person who has participated in these heinous acts will have to answer to the Judge of all judges one day.

- "For God will bring every act to judgment, everything which is hidden, whether it is good or evil." (Ecclesiastes 12:14)

8. Nurse Who Was Fired Because She is Pro-Life Wins $374,000 in Court - Life News

A pro-life Illinois nurse who was fired after refusing to refer mothers for abortions won her case in court this week and has been awarded $374,000 in damages and attorney fees. A local court in Illinois ruled that Sandra Mendoza Rojas, of Rockford, should not have been fired from the Winnebago County Health Clinic for living out her pro-life beliefs.

Rojas worked as a pediatric nurse for 18 years before she was fired in 2015, according to the report. She said she refused to comply with a new requirement that nurses be trained to help women obtain abortion drugs and refer women to abortion facilities.

“The Health Department improperly discriminated against (Rojas) by refusing to accommodate her objections of conscience in her existing job at the clinic,” the court wrote in its ruling. “The Court has concluded that the Health Department could have reasonably accommodated (Rojas’) objections without removing her from her job.” Sterett is hopeful this case will send a clear warning to employers about the importance of honoring someone’s religious beliefs. (Read more)

- Heavenly Father, we thank you for this legal victory, and for plaintiffs, lawyers, and judges who are committed to doing what is right, protecting our freedom to serve you in our jobs. We ask that this case would serve as the legal precedent, so that the cases of all other health care professionals in the same situation would also be honored.

Lord God, we ask You to continue to work on the hearts and minds of our U.S. Supreme Court justices to overturn Roe v. Wade. In preparation for that day, raise up godly pro-life candidates in every state, and help us encourage our fellow believers to vote.

- "And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.”  (Galatians 6:9)

9. Anything But Fair’: Nebraska Governor Condemns ‘Draconian’ Anti-Discrimination Ordinance - The Daily Wire

The city council of Lincoln, Nebraska, passed “draconian” legislation last week that threatens to fine residents thousands of dollars for counseling teens “in biblical terms,” critics say.

The legislation, known as the “Fairness Ordinance,” revises a section of Lincoln’s Equal Opportunity Code with the intent to ban discrimination based on sexual orientation, gender identity, and military status. Opponents of the law say the bill goes much further than simply banning discrimination, however, and the penalties for violating it are as high as $50,000.

Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts (R) issued a statement condemning the bill on Monday: “This ordinance is anything but fair — it should be called the ‘unfairness ordinance.’ It puts girls at risk by allowing men into girls’ bathrooms. It applies to private schools and not to public schools. It prevents parents from helping their kids who are experiencing gender dysphoria. And it threatens to bankrupt families who instill traditional values on their children — anyone who disagrees could get fined up to $50,000. I urge the people of Lincoln to sign the petition to let the people vote on these unfair policies!”

- Father God, we lift up Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts and we thank You for the
position he has taken to protect the children in his state. We ask that the people will rise up and sign this petition, so that this wicked piece of legislation will be canceled. In Your Name, amen.

- Romans 8:31 says, “What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?”

10.  Antisemitic flyers found in multiple cities across the country, investigations underway - Fox News

Communities in multiple cities across the country have reported a disturbing trend of antisemitic flyers being left in their neighborhoods in recent weeks, according to local reports.

Flyers delivered in plastic sandwich bags that made inaccurate claims about Jewish people and COVID-19 have been reported in cities in California’s Bay Area, Florida, Texas and Colorado. Some also named members of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as Jewish.

One flyer left in a driveway in Colleyville, Texas, claimed "every single aspect of the COVID agenda is Jewish," FOX4 Dallas reported. "In what appears to be a coordinated effort in cities across the country, anti-Semitic and other racist materials were distributed in clear sandwich bags to parts of our city overnight," Colleyville Mayor Richard Newton said Sunday in a written statement. (Read more)

- Lord God we cancel all of the curses that have been spoken about the Jewish people in this manner in Jesus name. We cancel all of the rumors and misinformation that has been released and we decree that this will have no effect in the name of Jesus. And we pray that those who started these lies would be found and held accountable. Amen.

The Daily Jot

Stupidocrisy: Oh, That Wily Biden

The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, February 23, 2022

Sometime during the week of February 14, sources revealed that patriotic American truckers were going to start rolling toward Washington, DC to protest the ongoing tyrannical COVID mandates by the federal government, as well as the lingering crazy controls by state and local authorities. About the same time, Joe Biden announced that he was going to extend the national emergency on COVID. This, two days after the tail wagging Biden’s decision-making, CDC boss Rachell Walensky, doubled down on COVID mask requirements despite plunging case and hospitalization rates. Then Biden says he will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin, if Putin promises not to invade Ukraine. What a deterrent!

At the epicenter of all this is Joe Biden and his left-wing-nut handlers. We can look North to Canada and see the jack-boot violation of human rights–as advised by Biden–by the country’s socialist leader Justin Trudeau. This may be what is coming to America. Already, truckers are organizing on the West coast and plan to be in Washington, DC sometime in March. They say they intend to stay there until COVID mandates are lifted. So what does Biden do? He extends the national COVID emergency and wants everybody to continue wearing masks. Meantime, the Canada tactics are being used on US truckers—Facebook banned them, and Biden says he might call up the National Guard to help solve the truck driver shortage—something the White House denied almost immediately because Biden has no authority to do so. Justin Trudeau revokes Emergencies Act: 'Existing laws and bylaws are now sufficient'

Just a day after MPs approved it and potentially hours before being put to vote in the Senate, emergency measures invoked by the Trudeau Liberals last week have been revoked.

“The situation is no longer an emergency,” Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said Wednesday afternoon, nine days after his government invoked the never-before-used Emergencies Act. “We are confident that existing laws and bylaws are now sufficient to keep people safe,” Trudeau said, adding the federal government would continue to support local law enforcement agencies as needed.

. . . The vote in the Senate was set to happen after the end of the debates, either Wednesday night or Thursday.

. . . Conservative Senator Pierre-Hugues Boisvenu suggested on Twitter the prime minister decided to revoke the act instead of risking it being voted down by the Senate.

“The Prime Minister knew the Senate would not support him. He chose to back down rather than to admit defeat,” wrote Boisvenu in French. (National Post) Read more.

- Father God, we thank You that this impasse is finally over. We ask that You would move upon the heart of Justin Trudeau and the Chief of Police in Ottawa to command their own law enforcement officers to refrain from any more violent or brutal actions being taken against the Freedom Convoy truckers. Thank You, Lord, in Your name, amen!

- "Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord."              (Psalm 150:6)

Hunga Tonga Volcano Update; Caldera Collapse,
Eruption went Halfway into Space
The Hunga Tonga-Hunga Ha'apai volcano in Tonga on January 15th produced a large and destructive tsunami through a new volcanic eruption. It is now a month later, and us scientists are beginning to understand just exactly how this eruption occurred, and the extent of the explosion. Scientists now believe that this event would be best classified as a new type of volcanic eruption, especially due to the unusually tall eruption plume it generated, which reached more than halfway into space. This new eruption type might be called a "Ha'apaian eruption", although it is still up for debate.

Trump's 'Truth Social' Site Debuts in Apple Store, Listed as Top App Due to Massive Demand
Former President Donald Trump's social media platform, Truth Social, officially launched Sunday night and was listed as the top free app in Apple's Store by early Monday. Trump had been working to develop his own social media site after he was banned from Twitter and Facebook last year. The platform's website describes it as "America's 'Big Tent," a social media platform that encourages an open, free, and honest global conversation without discriminating against political ideology."

Reuters reports that the demand to download the app was so high that some users had problems registering for an account or were added to a waitlist with a message: "Due to massive demand, we have placed you on our waitlist." In fact, some are reporting that their waitlist number is well over 200,000.

Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG), the venture behind Truth Social, is led by the former California Republican U.S. Rep. Devin Nunes.  "This week we will begin to roll out on the Apple App Store. That's going to be awesome because we're going to get so many more people that are going to be on the platform," Nunes said Sunday on Fox News' "Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo. "Our goal is, I think we're going to hit it, I think by the end of March we're going to be fully operational at least within the United States," he added. Truth Social will reportedly include a video-on-demand service dubbed TMTG+ that will feature entertainment programming, news, and podcasts.(CBN) Read more.

O How I Love Jesus

Words: Frederick Whitfield
Music: Traditional American Melody

Scripture: Because He first loved us. 1 John 4:19

Lyrics:
There is a name I love to hear,
I love to speak its worth;
It sounds like music in mine ear,
The sweetest name on earth.

Refrain
O how I love Jesus,
O how I love Jesus,
O how I love Jesus,
Because He first loved me!

It bids my trembling heart rejoice;
It dries each rising tear;
It tells me, in a still small voice,
To trust and never fear.

Refrain

This name shall shed its fragrance still
Along this thorny road,
Shall sweetly smooth the rugged hill
That leads me up to God.

Refrain

And there, with all the blood-bought throng,
From sin and sorrow free,
I’ll sing the new eternal song
Of Jesus’ love to me.

Refrain
