Hamas Horror Sparks Hollywood Actress Patricia Heaton to Defend Israel:
‘I Felt God Calling Me’
|
|
Actress Patricia Heaton is on a mission to stand up for the Israeli people, remaining steadfast in her opposition to Hamas, terror, and negative narratives permeating university students’ hearts and minds. “The Everybody Loves Raymond” star told CBN News she decided to take action after going on social media in the wake of Hamas’ Oct. 7 terror attack against Israel and “seeing horrendous videos of terrorists butchering Israeli civilians, children, babies, the elderly — families being burned alive, people being beheaded." These horrific scenes left Heaton “shocked.” She initially recalled assuming the “rest of the world would be outraged.” Instead, she was rocked by the “silence” she observed as well as disturbing support for Hamas.
Some of the patterns of conversation and behavior on college campuses, in particular, left her stunned. “Campuses exploded in pro-terrorist rallies with printed signs, and flags, and keffiyehs, all at the ready — immediately afterwards,” Heaton said. “And I thought, ‘Why is this any different from the Holocaust? Why is this different from Paris when the editors of the Charlie Hebdo newspaper were slaughtered?'” She said the world “rose up in protest” in those instances but that Israel was somehow treated as an enemy after Hamas’ deadly assault. “I just thought, ‘Something has to be done here,'” Heaton said, explaining how she partnered with a friend to launch the Oct. 7 Coalition, a “network of Christians standing visibly and vocally against the rise of antisemitism” in America. Ultimately, the actress said she felt the Lord pressing her up to the plate to try and make an impact. “I felt God calling me to do something,” she said, noting her friend Elizabeth Dorros co-founded the organization alongside her. “We just were answering a call that came to our hearts.” (Faithwire) Read More Here

- Almighty Father, we praise You for those You've placed in positions of prominence to boldly speak-out against the evil of anti-semitism! We rejoice over Christians and Jews working in unity to fight the demonic injustice against our beloved Israel and God's people. Bless the efforts of Actress Heaton and the 'Oct 7 Coalition' standing against chaotic lies that have filtered across college campuses attacking Jews. Abba, we ask that You would continue to raise up bold Christians across our nation to come alongside and voice strong support for 'the apple of Your eye'. We declare blessing upon this organization and all standing in the gap for Israel! By the blood of Yeshua-Amen and Amen.

DHS Secretary Noem appears to accuse 'corrupt' FBI of leaking LA ICE raids
|
|
Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem called the FBI "corrupt" and appeared to accuse the bureau of leaking plans for "large-scale" immigration enforcement plans in the Los Angeles area.
The LA Times published an article Friday that said U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) would lead the operation, focusing on those without legal status in the U.S. or who have pending orders of removal, according to an internal government document reviewed by the publication.
The document was reportedly circulated among some government officials last week. The Times also reported that a federal law enforcement source who spoke on condition of anonymity for fear of reprisal said LA FBI and Drug Enforcement Administration officers and agents are being called in to assist.
Noem shared the article on X, taking a dig at the FBI. (Fox News) Read more here.

|
- Lord God we lift all ICE officials to you and all those working tirelessly to protect us at our borders that you would give them supernatural wisdom and strength to perform the tasks that need to be done. Lord we pray that individuals and agencies that are deliberately breaking the law and trying to undermine law and order would be found out and held responsible for their actions. In Jesus' name, amen.

Trump Says He'll Impose 25 Percent Tariffs on Steel and Aluminum on Monday
|
|
President Donald Trump said he plans to impose 25 percent tariffs on steel and aluminum imports on Feb. 10.
“Any steel coming into the United States is going to have a 25 percent tariff,” he told reporters on Feb. 9 on Air Force One as he flew from Florida to New Orleans to attend the Super Bowl. When asked about aluminum, he told reporters that it will also be subject to the trade penalties.
White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt said that the new tariffs would come on top of the existing duties on steel and aluminum.
Trump also told reporters that he would soon announce “reciprocal tariffs” on Feb. 11 or Feb. 12, meaning that the United States could impose duties on products from countries that have placed tariffs on U.S. goods.
“If they are charging us 130 percent and we’re charging them nothing, it’s not going to stay that way,” he told reporters.
On Feb. 7, Trump elaborated on the reciprocal tariffs during comments at the White House alongside Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba.
“Where a country ... charges us so much, and we do the same,” he said. “I think that’s the only fair way to do it. That way, nobody’s hurt.” (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

|
- We pray for Trump, his administration and all our leaders, Lord, that they would all be men and women of character, keeping their word and promises to the American people.
We pray that these new tariffs on steel and aluminum will be effective in strengthening our own economy. Thank you for helping our country be prosperous once again! In Jesus' name, amen.

Trump Says He Has Spoken Directly to Putin About Ending War in Ukraine
|
|
A Kremlin spokesman confirmed that ’many different communications’ are happening.
President Donald Trump said on Feb. 7 that he has spoken to Russian President Vladimir Putin about ending the Russia–Ukraine war, drawing a response from the Kremlin.
Speaking to the New York Post in an exclusive interview on Air Force One, Trump said that he did speak with the Russian leader about the war, which started in 2022. Asked about how many times he has spoken to Putin in recent days, Trump said, “I'd rather not say.”
However, Trump said he believes that Putin “does care” about the carnage on the battlefield and “wants to see people stop dying.”
“All those dead people. Young, young, beautiful people. They’re like your kids, 2 million of them—and for no reason,“ Trump said, referring to soldiers dying in the war, adding that the conflict ”never would have happened” if he was president in 2022.
Elaborating, but without providing many details, Trump said that he has a plan to end the war, adding that he has a good relationship with Putin.
“I hope it’s fast,“ he said. ”Every day people are dying. This war is so bad in Ukraine. I want to end this damn thing.” (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

|
- Lord we continue to lift up the people of Ukraine and Russia to you, that you would help them and comfort them. We pray, Lord, that Russia would make the right decision to end this war swiftly, in Jesus' name. We continue to pray peace over these two countries, that your love and your perfect peace will surround them, silencing all chaos and confusion, in Jesus' name, amen.
- “Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in every way. The Lord be with you all.” (2 Thessalonians 3:16)

1. Israel Expresses Outrage After Hamas Suspends Next Gaza Hostage Releases Indefinitely - Algemeiner
The Palestinian terrorist group Hamas announced on Monday that it would stop releasing Israeli hostages until further notice over alleged violations of the Gaza ceasefire and hostage-release deal, prompting outrage in Israel.
“The handover of the Zionist prisoners who were scheduled to be released next Saturday, Feb. 15, 2025, will be postponed until further notice and until the occupation commits to and compensates for the entitlements of the past weeks retroactively,” Abu Obeida, a spokesman, for Hamas’s military wing, said in a statement.
“We affirm our commitment to the terms of the agreement as long as the occupation commits to them,” he added.
Hamas accused Israel of violating the ceasefire by “delaying the return of displaced people to the northern Gaza Strip, targeting them with shelling and gunfire in various areas of the Gaza Strip, and not allowing relief supplies of all kinds to enter as agreed upon, while the resistance has implemented all its obligations.” (Read more)

2. Israel responds to Hamas’s threat to cancel hostage deal - World Israel News
On Monday, Israel responded to Hamas’s announcement that it would suspend the hostage release deal, stating that Hamas, not Israel, had violated the agreement.
A Hamas spokesman on Monday accused Israel of breaching the ceasefire agreement and claimed that the IDF had targeted Palestinians in Gaza.
In response, the Israeli government issued a statement: “The terrorist organization is responsible for the violations. Members of the delegation who returned from Qatar this morning stated that Hamas’s actions jeopardize the continuation of the deal.”
Israel’s Defense Minister, Israel Katz, also condemned Hamas’s decision, saying: “Hamas’s announcement that it will halt the release of Israeli hostages is a blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement. I have instructed the IDF to maintain the highest level of readiness for any possible scenario in Gaza and to ensure the defense of communities near the border. We will not allow a return to the reality of October 7th.” (Read more)

3. Netanyahu reveals: There was pessimism, I worked to release the hostages - Israel National News
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday responded to a no-confidence motion in the Knesset and sharply criticized the opposition for its doubts regarding the Gaza plan proposed by US President Donald Trump.
"You've always talked about one thing: what about the day after? Well, you've got the day after. But it's not what you're advocating for - the failed Oslo narrative - and you refuse to learn the lesson. President Trump presented a new and revolutionary vision for the day after Hamas so that Gaza does not rise again as a terror state - and I add not only in Gaza - it must not rise anywhere within our borders," Netanyahu emphasized.
He added, "You in the opposition said there's no choice - we must bring back the Palestinian Authority to Gaza. You wanted to return the PA that educates its children to hatred, pays killers. I am returning from the US with a different vision - without Hamas and without the Palestinian Authority in Gaza. President Trump's vision is new and revolutionary. He is determined to implement it." 4. Israeli Cabinet set to discuss second phase of Gaza truce - JNS
The Israeli delegation currently in Doha, Qatar is focused only on the continued implementation of the first phase of the Israel-Hamas ceasefire, with Israel’s Cabinet set to deliberate on Tuesday regarding Israel’s position regarding phase-two talks, according to Hebrew media reports.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu coordinated Israel’s position on the second phase with U.S. President Donald Trump, according to Ynet. Jerusalem will demand the expulsion of Hamas’s leadership from Gaza, the dismantling of its terrorist army and the release of all the remaining hostages, according to the report. Officials in Jerusalem estimate that Hamas is likely to reject these demands.
Three more male hostages are expected to be released by the terrorist group on Feb. 15 as part of the ceasefire’s first phase.
On Saturday, Or Levy, 34, Eli Sharabi, 52, and Ohad Ben Ami, 56, were freed after 491 days in captivity following their abduction during Hamas’s Oct. 7, 2023 attack on Israel. (Read more)

5. Abbas Renames ‘Pay for Slay’ Program with More Socially Acceptable Title - Jewish Press
Mahmoud Abbas, also known as Abu Mazen, Chairman of the Palestinian Authority, announced recently that the PA will stop paying monthly salaries to the families of “prisoners, martyrs, and the wounded.”
Abbas stated that these payments will now be made through a new entity called the “Palestinian National Institution for Economic Assistance.”
According to Abbas, this institution is an “independent body” managed by a board of trustees – appointed (no surprise here) by Abbas himself – and is allegedly transparent and subject to oversight by international bodies.
This institution will be responsible for raising funds to be transferred to the families of prisoners, martyrs, and the wounded, who until now received money directly from the PA. (Read more)

1. Judge blocks Musk, DOGE from accessing Treasury payment systems - The Hill
A federal judge in an overnight ruling Saturday blocked Elon Musk and his Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) from accessing the Treasury Department’s payment systems used to dole out trillions of dollars each year.
U.S. District Judge Paul Engelmayer’s ruling is more extensive than the agreement the administration reached earlier in the week to temporarily limit access to two DOGE personnel.
Engelmayer blocked the Treasury Department from providing access to anyone “other than civil servants with a need for access to perform their job duties.” It explicitly prohibits special government employees and those detailed from outside the department.
The ruling is only temporary. It will last until at least Friday, when another judge, who is permanently overseeing the case brought by 19 Democratic state attorneys general, will hold a hearing in New York about whether to grant a longer pause. (Read more)

2. Judge blocks Trump from placing thousands of USAID workers on leave and giving them 30-day deadline - AP
A federal judge on Friday dealt President Donald Trump and billionaire ally Elon Musk their first big setback in their dismantling of the U.S. Agency for International Development, ordering a temporary halt to plans to pull thousands of agency staffers off the job.
U.S. District Judge Carl Nichols, a Trump appointee, also agreed to block an order that would have given the thousands of overseas USAID workers the administration wanted to place on abrupt administrative leave just 30 days to move families and households back to the U.S. on government expense.
Both moves would have exposed the U.S. workers and their spouses and children to unwarranted risk and expense, the judge said.
Nichols pointed to accounts from workers abroad that the Trump administration, in its rush to shut down the agency and its programs abroad, had cut some workers off from government emails and other communication systems they needed to reach the U.S. government in case of a health or safety emergency. 3. Trump administration orders federal agencies to provide lists of underperforming employees - AP
President Donald Trump’s administration has ordered all federal departments and agencies to provide lists of employees who are underperforming, as it seeks to shrink the workforce and awaits a court ruling related to its deferred resignation offers.
A memo sent by the Office of Personnel Management on Thursday directs the agencies to submit names of every employee who has received less than a “fully successful” performance rating in the past three years and to note whether the workers have been on performance plans.
The memo, which was viewed by The Associated Press, also emphasized that the agencies report any obstacles to making sure they have “the ability to swiftly terminate poor performing employees who cannot or will not improve.” (Read more)

4. Iranian supreme leader vows to respond in kind if US ‘acts on threats’ against Iran - Times of Israel
Iran’s supreme leader said Friday that if the United States “threatens” Iran’s security, “we will threaten them in return,” adding that negotiations with America “are not intelligent, wise or honorable” after US President Donald Trump floated nuclear talks with Tehran.
“The Americans sit, redrawing the map of the world — but only on paper, as it has no basis in reality,” Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said at an Iranian Air Force event in Tehran. “They make statements about us, express opinions and issue threats. If they threaten us, we will threaten them in return. If they act on their threats, we will act on ours. If they violate the security of our nation, we will, without a doubt, respond in kind.”
Khamenei also suggested that “there should be no negotiations with such a government,” but stopped short of issuing a direct order not to engage with Washington. (Read more)

5. Russian Troops In Kursk Stood Down To Rest. That’s The Moment Ukrainian Troops Chose To Counterattack - Forbes
In August, a strong Ukrainian force eventually numbering around 20,000 troops invaded Kursk Oblast in western Russia, aiming to draw Russian forces away from the front line in eastern Ukraine while also seizing part of the oblast as a bargaining chip for any future ceasefire negotiations.
Three months later, an even stronger Russian and North Korean force—60,000 people in all—counterattacked. But the Russians and North Koreans attacked day after day along the same predictable routes, ultimately losing a third of their manpower without fully ejecting the Ukrainians from their 250-square-mile salient, anchored by the town of Sudzha.
Exhausted, the Russian and North Korean field army took “an operational pause” on or just before Feb. 5, the Ukrainian Center for Defense Strategies reported. Russian regiments needed time to induct fresh troops and replacement vehicles; the 12,000-soldier North Korean corps in Kursk was expected to rotate in a fresh regiment or two with a few thousand troops, CDS reported.
Taking advantage of the pause, the Ukrainian Siversk Operational Tactical Group in Kursk attacked on Thursday—and quickly advanced as far as three miles along several axes on the southeastern edge of the salient. According to CDS, the Siversk group advanced southwest of Makhnovka and north and east of Cherkasskya Konopelka along the Sudzha-Oboyan highway. (Read more)

6. Biggest quake yet could be still to come on Greek tourist island, seismologist warns - CNN
The seismic activity rattling Santorini and other Greek islands is not over and the biggest quake yet could be still to come, a seismologist has warned.
Rémy Bossu, Secretary-General of the European-Mediterranean Siesmological Centre, said “days, or perhaps, weeks” would be needed to evaluate the unusual tremors but said that the series of quakes typically occur in the build-up to a larger tremor.
A state of emergency has been declared in the idyllic Greek island of Santorini amid a series of near-constant tremors in recent days, which have almost emptied the famous Greek tourist haven of visitors and residents.
The largest tremor so far was recorded on Wednesday evening, when a quake with a magnitude of 5.2 coursed through the island. It was the first to exceed 5.0 since the tremors began last week.
Sitting near the boundary of the massive African and Eurasian tectonic plates, Santorini often experiences seismic activity, but rarely so intensely for so long. As well as Santorini, the nearby islands of Amorgos and Ios have also been shaken. (Read more)

Of Principalities, Deliverance and Obedience
The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, February 10, 2025
We have seen how the forces of evil react to having one of their principalities shattered. Today, the minions of satan are in full force running to and fro trying to regain their powers of darkness in Washington, DC. There are examples of spiritual strongholds throughout scripture. Ephesians 6:12 says, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Daniel 10 describes how an angel of the Lord was delayed because of the prince of Persia in the spirit world. But there is a clear real-world example where the LORD GOD honors obedience and dismantles entire principalities.
Exodus 13:17 says, “After Pharaoh had let the people go, God did not guide them to the highway that goes through the land of the Philistines, because it was close by—God thought that the people, upon seeing war, might change their minds and return to Egypt.” Jonatan Sacks in his book Covenant and Conversation, writes, “That is why He led the Israelites on a circuitous route, knowing that they could not face the full challenge of liberty immediately. There are no shortcuts on the long walk to freedom.” This would be a long journey for the Israelite people, one that would take a generation to complete. But the LORD also had his purpose of completing the judgment of the gods of Egypt to demonstrate that ADONAI is God! Read More

Santorini Earthquakes Create Panic In Greece As Locals Fear Volcano Could Erupt
|
|
Residents on the popular island of Santorini have experienced over 8,000 recent earthquakes. Now, researchers have revealed a new magma chamber growing underneath the Kolumbo volcano.
The Greek Island of Santorini is in the headlines again, not because of the massive increase in tourism and cruise ships last season, but because of a swarm of severe earthquakes this week. With growing concerns about the Kolumbo submarine volcano, over 11,000 locals and visitors have recently departed the island, and many are wondering whether the earthquakes could set off a potential eruption or the formation of a new volcano.
Greece’s government declared a state of emergency on Santorini this week, schools were closed, and residents and hotel owners were required to drain all swimming pools, as water movement could destabilize the buildings. People were also instructed to avoid old buildings. Small rockslides happened along the cliffs, prompting Greek authorities to restrict access to areas identified as high risk. Discussions about evacuation plans have begun among Greek authorities as residents are becoming increasingly afraid.
Scientists and researchers remain confident that the volcano will not pose a threat despite a report published in Geochemistry, Geophysics, Geosystems revealing that a previously undetected magma chamber is growing beneath the Kolumbo volcano that could lead to another eruption.
According to a National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology report, “The affected area is one of the most seismically active in the Hellenic volcanic arc region. The current events occur along the Santorini-Amorgos fault zone, known for its ability to generate high-magnitude earthquakes. The most destructive earthquake recorded in the area occurred on July 9, 1956, with magnitude 7.1, followed by a strong aftershock of magnitude 6.9, causing widespread damage and a violent tsunami.” Read More
