‘It Changed Something in Me’:
Trump’s Candid Admission About How Attempted Assassination
Transformed His Belief in God
|
|
President Donald Trump said an assassination attempt on his life drew him closer to God and that he believes people need faith to find true happiness.
Trump made his remarks at the 73rd annual National Prayer Breakfast Thursday, referring back to the July 13, 2024, campaign event in Butler, Pa., during which he was hit in the ear by a bullet. Two spectators were also injured during the shooting, and Corey Comperatore, a dad, husband, and volunteer firefighter, was tragically killed. “None of us knows exactly when our time on earth will be over,” Trump told those gathered at the prayer breakfast. “You never know — a truth I confronted a few short months ago when there was an incident that … was not fun.” The president has frequently said he believes the Lord saved him that day. He repeated this Thursday, explaining how people have told him it’s practically impossible he survived — an unlikely arc of events that happened when he turned his head slightly toward an immigration chart he was referencing during the campaign event. “God was watching me,” Trump said, quipping, “immigration saved my life.”
The president also inserted other quips during his remarks, noting the gunshot didn’t impact his oft-times referenced hairstyle. “It didn’t affect my hair — can you believe it?” he said. “It might have touched it, but not where it counts.” But the most noteworthy line of his speech came when he reflected on the impact of the assassination attempt on his heart and mind. “It changed something in me,” he said. “I feel even stronger. I believed in God, but I feel much more strongly about it. Something happened.” Trump continued, “But that event, like the tragedy last week, should remind us that we have to make the most out of every single day that we have.” At the end of the speech, Trump also said he believes faith is essential for people to find true happiness. Missing Alaska Plane Found Crashed, All 10 on Board Dead: Authorities
|
|
Authorities announced Friday that the wreckage of a plane that disappeared in Alaska on its way to the hub community of Nome has been found, with all 10 people who were on board dead.
Mike Salerno, a spokesperson for the U.S. Coast Guard, said rescuers were searching the aircraft’s last known location by helicopter when they spotted the wreckage. They lowered two rescue swimmers to investigate.
The plane, a Cessna caravan, was en route from Alaska’s Unalakleet to Nome when it disappeared from radar.
Unalakleet, a small community in western Alaska with a population of approximately 690, is situated about 150 miles southeast of Nome and 395 miles northwest of Anchorage.
According to local media, a Federal Aviation Administration weather camera near Nome captured near-whiteout conditions for several hours on Thursday afternoon.
Radar forensic data from the U.S. Civil Air Patrol indicated that at approximately 3:18 p.m. Thursday, the plane experienced a sudden and rapid loss of altitude and speed, Coast Guard Lt. Cmdr. Benjamin McIntyre-Coble reported. “What that event is, I can’t speculate to,” he said. Read more

Judge Temporarily Blocks Trump Admin From Placing Some USAID Employees on Leave
|
|
A federal judge issued a temporary injunction halting mandatory administrative leave for 2,200 employees of the U.S. Agency for International Aid (USAID).
Judge Carl Nichols ordered that the USAID employees not be placed on leave at 11:59 p.m. Friday while legal challenges are pending.
The order also halted the requirement that international employees return to the United States.
Nichols stated that it was a “very limited” restraining order.
The petition for the temporary restraining order was filed at noon on Feb. 7 and the government had no time to submit a brief. The judge characterized the case as an employer–employee dispute but found that some of the plaintiffs’ arguments about irreparable harm were valid.
The plaintiffs argued that employees would be harmed because they were locked out of payment systems and that being forced to leave in haste could disrupt services and cause destabilization in the overseas regions where USAID is active. Read more

Released Israeli hostages Or Levy, Ohad Ben Ami, and Eli Sharabi are in serious condition and appear to have lost about 30% of their overall weight, according to a preliminary medical examination that was reported to Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center and Sheba Medical Center on Saturday.
The condition of the three former hostages is possibly the most worrying medical condition of a released hostage to date.
The three appear frail and malnourished upon being freed after 491 days captive in Gaza. They will be flown to the medical centers via helicopter. Read more

2. Israel forms draft plan to let Gazans leave by sea, air - JNS
Israel has selected two potential exit points to allow Palestinians leave Gaza in accordance with U.S. President Donald Trump’s recent proposal to resettle the Strip’s population.
At a briefing on Thursday, the Israel Defense Forces presented Defense Minister Israel Katz with a draft plan for safe passage, consisting of Ramon Airport, some 250 kilometers away from Gaza near Eilat, and Ashdod Port, about an hour’s drive up the Mediterranean coast from the Strip, according to an unnamed Israeli official cited in a report from Bloomberg on Friday.
As things stand, the source continued, the military is assessing which of the five land crossings between the Strip and Israel would serve as a safe passageway with security screening.
The idea of resettlement, suggested by Trump at a meeting with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the White House on Tuesday, received the backing of most Israelis, according to a Channel 12 Newssurvey. (Read more)

5. Top haredi leader calls for Arab rule over Israel, says Zionism brought 'disasters' - Jerusalem Post
Rabbi Dov Landau, head of the Slabodka Yeshiva and one of the Lithuanian community leaders, called for the Arabs to rule Israel as they had in the past, haredi media reported Friday.
Reminiscing, he said, "It is possible to live well with the Arabs without a state."
He advocated for Arab rule over Israel, saying, "It would be quite good if the Arabs ruled here; the best situation, [if] the Arabs would rule, they would respect them (Zionists), not interfere with them, bring money to the country - the Arabs love money."
He said that had the Jews properly submitted themselves to King Faisal over 90 years ago, the conflict would not have happened. "If the Arabs had received such treatment, the situation would have been different. They also made the Arabs hate us." (Read more)

1. Maxine Waters, House Dems ripped for 'unhinged' clash with security guard at Education Dept - Fox
Conservatives on social media blasted Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., after she and other Democrats protesting President Donald Trump attempted to enter the Department of Education building in Washington, D.C., while accosting a security guard in the process.
Thirty House Democrats attempted to enter the Department of Education building on Friday morning to meet with acting Education Secretary Denise L. Carter regarding Trump’s plans to significantly downsize or even eliminate the department, but they were stopped by security.
Video of the Democrats attempting to convince the visibly uninterested security guard to let them in quickly spread on social media, sparking strong pushback from conservatives.
Waters and other Democrats could be seen on video berating the security guard, repeatedly asking for his ID, and telling him to look at the camera, so viewers could see his face. Read more

2. EXCLUSIVE: Sen. Mike Lee, Rep. Andy Ogles Introduce Legislation To Repeal DC Home Rule - Daily Caller
Republican Utah Sen. Mike Lee and Republican Tennessee Rep. Andy Ogles will introduce legislation Thursday to overturn D.C. home rule in the nation’s capital during the next Congress, giving control of the city back to Congress.
The Daily Caller first obtained a copy of the legislation is titled the Bringing Oversight to Washington and Safety to Every Resident (BOWSER) Act, after Democratic Washington, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser. The bill would repeal the District of Columbia Home Rule Act one year after passage. Congress can exercise authority over D.C. local affairs, according to the District Clause of the Constitution (Article 1, Section 8, Clause 17), and reviews all D.C. legislation before it can become law. Congress can change or even overturn D.C. legislation and also impose new laws on the district.
“The corruption, crime, and incompetence of the DC government has been an embarrassment to our nation’s capital for decades. It is long past time that Congress restored the honor and integrity of George Washington to the beautiful city which bears his name,” Lee told the Caller before introducing the bill in the Senate. 5. Trump to Tackle ‘Anti-Christian Bias’ with White House Religious Office - Breitbart
President Donald Trump on Thursday told a prayer breakfast in Washington that he will create a task force to “immediately halt all forms of anti-Christian targeting and discrimination within the federal government, including at the DOJ, which was absolutely terrible, the IRS, the FBI and other agencies.”
Trump promised that Attorney General Pam Bondi, who was confirmed by the Senate on Tuesday, would “fully prosecute anti-Christian violence and vandalism in our society and to move heaven and earth to defend the rights of Christians and religious believers nationwide.”

Disrupting Statism
The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, February 7, 2025
The leftist media and Democratic faithful are in a state of outrage by President Trump’s disruption of statism. From the minute he was sworn in to office, the Democratic Party’s worse nightmare began. Trump, like a whirlwind, is disrupting the longstanding statism that has been very carefully built over the last 60 years. In fact, no one living has seen this historical attack on statism in America. When Democrats and the news media opined repeatedly that Trump was a threat to democracy, they were speaking of their form of democracy, which is statism. Simply put, statism is a political system in which the state has substantial control over social and economic affairs—the evolved definition of modern democracy.
Americans have been so long in the simmering pot of statism that a vast segment of the population does not recognize the tyranny it brings. It is obvious to those who have been watching the temperature in that pot come to a lethal boil. The country has been conditioned since Franklin Roosevelt to accept the premise that equality under the law and meritocracy were somehow evil. Americans have been pummeled over the decades with class warfare, where equality under the law really means that people have rights that do not exist. The media and leftists have pitted countrymen against one another. We have seen this ideological subversion in media, entertainment, education, politics, government, and, yes, religion. Read More

What You Need To Know About the March 2025 Total Lunar Eclipse
|
|
The Moon will pass into Earth’s shadow and appear to turn red on the night of March 13 or early in the morning of March 14, depending on time zone. Here’s what you need to know about the total lunar eclipse.
What is a lunar eclipse?
A lunar eclipse occurs when the Sun, Earth, and Moon align so that the Moon passes into Earth’s shadow. In a total lunar eclipse, the entire Moon falls within the darkest part of Earth’s shadow, called the umbra. When the Moon is within the umbra, it appears red-orange. Lunar eclipses are sometimes called “Blood Moons” because of this phenomenon.
How can I observe the eclipse?
You don’t need any special equipment to observe a lunar eclipse, although binoculars or a telescope will enhance the view. A dark environment away from bright lights makes for the best viewing conditions.
This eclipse will be visible from Earth’s Western Hemisphere. Read More
Please note: this eclipse will fall on the date of Purim this year: March 13 or 14,
depending on the time zone you live in. We feel that this prophetic date will have
special significance for Israel, for America, and for the nations on earth. Join us
in watching the events that will fall during this Purim, as we continue to "pray
without ceasing" for God's will to be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Amen!
