Pro-Life Law to Stop Trafficking Teens for Secret Abortions Wins Huge Victory in Court
|
|
Right to Life of Idaho lauded the decision by a panel of the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals that allows the state to largely enforce the states Abortion Trafficking Law passed in 2023. “We are praising God for the many lives this law will save,” they said. The panel’s decision “reverses U.S. Magistrate Judge Debora K. Grasham’s November 2023 decision, which blocked enforcement of the law after Idaho attorney Lourdes Matsumoto and two advocacy organizations, the Northwest Abortion Access Fund and the Indigenous Idaho Alliance, filed a lawsuit against the state,” according to Mia Maldonado. “The plaintiffs alleged the law restricts freedom of speech, the right to travel and the right to freely associate, and said it was too vague to be constitutional.”
The panel of judges “determined the law is not too vague to be enforced and does not violate the First Amendment rights of the advocacy organizations who filed the lawsuit,” Maldonado wrote, “However, they did affirm Grasham’s block on one ground. The panel held that the language in the law prohibiting ‘recruiting’ activity to obtain an abortion is overly broad and unconstitutional ‘because it prohibits a substantial amount of protected expressive speech.’ But the other aspects of the law that do not allow individuals to ‘harbor’ or ‘transport’ minors for an abortion can stand, according to the ruling. This is a tremendous victory for Idaho and defending the rule of law as written by the people’s representatives,” said Attorney General Raúl Labrador. “Idaho’s laws were passed specifically to protect the life of the unborn and the life of the mother. Trafficking a minor child for an abortion without parental consent puts both in grave danger.” (Faithwire) Read More Here
- Father we CELEBRATE this victory in Court protecting parental rights, lives of teens and the unborn! Bless these Judges for displaying sound mind and righteousness through the Court's decision in upholding this law. We pray in the Name of Jesus, that every state across our nation will hear of this Court case and will unite, standing boldly, to honor God's plan for the family nucleus, provide support to young mothers and secure the sanctity of innocent LIFE! By the powerful Blood of Jesus Christ-Amen and Amen.

Assad Regime Has Been Toppled, Ending 5-Decade Rule in Syria
|
|
Syrian President Bashar Assad has fled the country after a coalition of rebel groups stormed Damascus, ending his family’s five-decade rule over the Arab Republic, Reuters reported on Sunday morning.
Syria’s army command notified officers on Sunday that the regime had fallen, an officer who was informed of the move told the press agency.
A Syrian Air plane took off from Damascus International Airport as the capital was being taken by the rebels. Reuters said it could not immediately ascertain the destination or who was on board.
Rebel fighters declared the capital “liberated” in a televised statement carried on state television on Sunday. “Damascus has been liberated, and the tyrant Bashar al-Assad has been overthrown,” a spokesman stated, adding that “prisoners in regime prisons have been released.”
“We ask people and fighters to protect all property in Free Syria,” added the rebel spokesman. “Long live Syria free for all Syrians of all sects.” Read more

Netanyahu Cites "Historic Day", Announces IDF Control of Buffer Zone and Syrian Golan Heights
|
|
DM Katz says Iranian octopus tentacles are being cut off one by one
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz visited the Golan Heights on Sunday following the dramatic announcement of the fall of the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and the capture of the capital city of Damascus by rebel forces led by the Sunni Islamist militant group, Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS).
Netanyahu and Katz visited the Mount Bental area in the Golan Heights, near the border, where they were briefed by IDF Northern Command Chief, Maj.-Gen. Uri Gordin.
After the briefing, Netanyahu stated, "This is a historic day for the Middle East. The collapse of the Assad regime, the tyranny in Damascus, offers great opportunity but also is fraught with significant dangers.”
He directly claimed Israel's responsibility for part of the collapse due to its “forceful action” in Lebanon.
“This collapse is the direct result of our forceful action against Hezbollah and Iran, Assad's main supporters,” he continued. “It set off a chain reaction of all those who want to free themselves from this tyranny and its oppression.”
However, Netanyahu also warned that changes in Syria would provide “possible threats” that Israel is actively working to counter. Read more

Breathtaking Speed: Trump's Paris Trip Marks Return to Global Stage as Leaders "Turn the Page" on Biden
|
|
President-elect Trump is in Europe this weekend for his first overseas trip since his convincing victory in last month's presidential election.
Trump will meet with Emmanuel Macron after the French president invited him to attend Saturday's star-studded VIP event for the official reopening of the newly restored Notre Dame Cathedral, five years after a devastating fire wrecked the centuries-old Paris landmark.
First Lady Jill Biden will also attend the ceremonies, but it's Trump who will be holding court with world leaders.
The president-elect's appearance will serve as Trump's unofficial return to the global stage, and it is another reminder that he is quickly becoming the center of the world's attention.

|
- Father, we thank You that President Trump is once again bringing strength to the world stage. We pray that all meetings go well as the celebration of the restoration of the Notre Dame cathedral moves forward. The United States has been through a “fire” of its own the last 4 years, with destruction of values, economy, and freedoms, so we humbly ask that You restore and rebuild our nation even as the beautiful cathedral was also restored.
- “I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the hopper, the destroyer, and the cutter, my great army, which I sent among you. “You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, who has dealt wondrously with you. And my people shall never again be put to shame.” (Joel 2: 25-26)

Melbourne Australia Synagogue Firebombed with Worshippers Inside
|
|
A Melbourne, Australia, synagogue was firebombed on Friday morning — with worshipers inside at the time.
“Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) crews were called to the scene around 4:10 a.m., finding the single-story synagogue engulfed in flames,” the Jerusalem Post reported. “According to ABC News, 60 firefighters and 17 firetrucks worked tirelessly to bring the fire under control within an hour.”
Meanwhile, in Sydney, a Jewish man was detained and accused of “antagonizing” pro-Palestinian activists who were targeting the synagogue in front of which the Jewish man stood after he waved an Israeli flag across the street.
“I unequivocally condemn the attack on a Melbourne synagogue,” Australia’s Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said. “I have zero tolerance for antisemitism. It has absolutely no place in Australia.” Read more

|
- Lord, we are grateful that no one was injured in this attack, and we pray that the trauma inflicted by the firebombing would bring about a revelation of Your comfort and presence. We ask that all acts of antisemitism and hate be removed not only in Australia, but the entire world.
- “Let your steadfast love comfort me according to your promise to your servant.” (Psalm 119:76)

1. Netanyahu on northern border: 'Assad's fall opens new opportunities for entire region' - Israel National News
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz visited Mount Bental in the Golan Heights this morning (Sunday), an observation point facing the Syrian border. The head of the Golan Regional Council, Uri Kellner, also participated in the visit.
Netanyahu referred to Assad's downfall as "a historic day in the history of the Middle East. The collapse of the Assad regime, the tyrannical rule in Damascus, offers great opportunity but also is fraught with significant dangers. This collapse is the direct result of our forceful action against Hezbollah and Iran, Assad's main supporters. It set off a chain reaction of all those who want to free themselves from this tyranny and its oppression."
He added: "But it also means that we have to take action against possible threats. One of them is the collapse of the Separation of Forces Agreement from 1974 between Israel and Syria. This agreement held for 50 years. Last night, it collapsed. The Syrian army abandoned its positions. We gave the Israeli army the order to take over these positions to ensure that no hostile force embeds itself right next to the border of Israel. This is a temporary defensive position until a suitable arrangement is found." (Read more)

2. Israel Launches Wave of Attacks Against Syrian Military Airbases - Algemeiner
i24 News – The Israel Air Force carried out a series of targeted strikes in Syria on Sunday, particularly on the al-Mazzeh military base in Damascus and Khalkhalah in the southern al-Suweida part of the country. Attacks were also reported in rural areas of Daraa. According to Syrian sources, the targets included weapon depots, air defense batteries and missile manufacturing facilities.
Images broadcast earlier in the day showed rebel forces near the al-Mazzeh base, one of the main Syrian military airports, which has been previously targeted by Israel.
In the night from Saturday to Sunday, air raids attributed to Israel were carried out around Damascus, targeting sophisticated weapons and military installations. A chemical weapons depot was also reportedly destroyed. In response to these developments, the Israeli army deployed reinforcements to the Golan Heights to prevent any incursions by armed groups into the buffer zone. “The IDF does not involve itself in internal events in Syria, but will continue to act to defend the State of Israel,” a military spokesman said. 3. IDF confirms strike on south Lebanon village, says it targeted Hezbollah operatives at weapons depot - Times of Israel
The IDF confirms carrying out an airstrike in the southern Lebanon village of Dibbine, close to Marjayoun, earlier today, saying it targeted a group of Hezbollah operatives at a weapons depot.
According to the IDF, the weapons depot and operatives “posed a threat… while violating the understandings between Israel and Lebanon. These terrorists directed and carried out terror plots against IDF troops and Israeli civilians in recent months,” the military says.
The IDF says it carried out strikes in other areas of southern Lebanon today, targeting Hezbollah operatives. Under the ceasefire agreement, the operatives are meant to withdraw to north of the Litani River. (Read more)

5. Herzog decries coalition’s planned divisive judicial bills – ‘touching on our democracy, risking our cohesion’ - Times of Israel
President Isaac Herzog slams the government’s upcoming legislative agenda, stating that he is “very worried about the wave of legislation” being advanced by the coalition, in a speech at a memorial ceremony for former prime minister David Ben Gurion in southern Israel.
“This wave of legislation in the Knesset touches our democratic foundations — from the courts, to the judicial system, to law enforcement, to civil rights in elections and in general, to the independence of the media, academia and so on,” he states.
Herzog calls on elected officials and political leaders to “lower the flames and do everything to reach understandings and agreements,” rather than pushing through far-reaching measures without a responsible and reasoned discourse.

6. Herzog – ‘Worried’ about ‘dramatic’ wave of legislation altering democratic foundations - Jerusalem Post
President Isaac Herzog said on Sunday that he was “very worried” about the “emergence of dramatic legislation in the Knesset affecting the foundations of democracy, including the judiciary, law enforcement, civil rights, media independence, and academia.”
The comments, made at a memorial service for deceased Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion, came at the beginning of a week in which the coalition is expected to advance a series of controversial bills, some of which have been associated with the government’s 2023 judicial reforms, which ultimately did not pass.
Herzog added, “It's clear that Israel's constitutional structure isn't perfect. I have said this over and over in recent years. There is much to improve in various areas, [including] relationships between branches of government and human and civil rights … but we had to learn, no later than on October 7th, that submission and arm-twisting are not the way.”
“We must urgently understand now that this is not the time. Any irresponsible shake-up of the delicate democratic fabric we have built here, any careless handling of our most fundamental core issues, any unnecessary unraveling of statehood and Israeli cohesion—and especially now, in the midst of the war—are a threat to our national resilience and cohesion,” Herzog said. 1. Congress, Trump plan law enforcement reform in DC to end politicization and to fight crime – Just the News
Donald Trump and his political allies are promising law enforcement reforms and to fight crime in Washington, D.C., when he takes office again in January.
Already, allies on Capitol Hill are preparing to launch investigations, new committees, and detail new priorities as the former president prepares to take the reigns on the executive branch for the second non-consecutive term.
Some initiatives are taking aim at the nation’s capital, following promises from Trump on the campaign trail to clean up the city. Congress is looking to block disfavored city laws or using its power to shape the city’s budget, while Trump wants to enforce "tough on crime" policies in the district.
One congressman believes the security of the U.S. Capitol building itself and the politicization in the police force protecting the complex at the heart of the city should be the focus of a new select committee. Rep. Barry Loudermilk, Chairman of the House Administration Subcommittee on Oversight says reforms are needed to root out undue political influence on the department’s leadership, exposed by a probe into the Capitol Police in the aftermath of the January 6 riot. Read more
|
|
- Lord, we pray that all politicization of this city will be removed, so that true law enforcement will take place. We ask that reforms of the police force be just one area of change, and that all political prisoners from J6 will be freed.

2. Biden Admin Cut Big Check To Activists Using Schools As Recruiting Grounds For LGBT ‘Family Therapy’ Program- Daily Caller
A Michigan group received federal funds for a “family therapy” program that instructs parents to affirm their child’s gender confusion — and enlists public school districts in the effort.
A nearly $1.3 million federal grant awarded in early 2024 to Arbor Circle, a resource center that offers counseling and support for youth 10-18 who identify as LGBTQ, states that Kent County and Ottawa County school districts will partner with the organization to promote its Supportive Assistance for Families and LGBTQI+ Youth (SAFLY) program.
Arbor Circle’s SAFLY program provides LGBTQ-identifying youth and their families with “counseling and support programs that aim to reduce rejection and behavioral health risks,” according to the grant description.
“This project will also bring together systems and community organizations that engage with youth/families to support increased acceptance and understanding, training on successful interventions and awareness of available services,” the description states. Read more

- Father, we rebuke this plan of Satan to target our children in the Name of Jesus. We pray that all secret moves targeting our children will not only be thwarted, but totally destroyed. Let Your Holy Spirit move across all “programs” in all schools to bring about repentance and understanding of Your truth.

3. House Overwhelmingly Passes ‘Crucial Communism Teaching Act’ – The Epoch Times
The House on Dec. 6 passed the Crucial Communism Teaching Act with a vote of 327–62. The bill, introduced by Rep. Maria Elvira Salazar (R-Fla.) and cosponsored by 33 members of the House, seeks to address a gap in the education system related to the history of communism.
“Communism is one of the most destructive political ideologies the world has ever seen,” Rep. Salazar said when reintroducing the bill earlier this year.
“The Crucial Communism Teaching Act is important because our youth must remember the crimes of the communists, including those inflicted upon my constituents and their families in Florida’s 27th district.”
She first introduced the bill in September 2021, but it was not brought up for a vote at that time.
Specifically, the bill seeks to educate American students that “communism has led to the deaths of over 100,000,000 victims worldwide,” and that “1,500,000,000 people still suffer under communism.”
Ahead of the vote, Rep. Danny Burgess (R-Fla.) warned that many youth have been taught to see communism as something desirable, noting that a recent report indicated “half of GenZ students were unaware that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is responsible for more deaths than Nazi Germany.” Read more

- Lord, we pray that this bill will be passed in the Senate as well and be signed into law. Our youth must understand the evil that they have been subjected to for the last decades. If the Senate won’t pass it now, we pray they will when Donald Trump takes over in January.
- “Behold, you delight in truth in the inward being, and you teach me wisdom in the secret heart.” (Psalm 51:6)

4. Judge Allows US Naval Academy To Use Race In Admissions - Daily Caller
A judge on Friday ruled that the U.S. Naval Academy is allowed to continue to use race as a factor in its admissions process.
U.S. District Judge Richard Bennett determined that the Naval Academy does not fall afoul of the Supreme Court’s June 2023 ruling to strike down affirmative action in college admissions because the Naval Academy is not a civilian university, but instead a part of the military and generally under the purview of the executive branch. Bennett opined that “military and civilian leaders have determined that a racially diverse officer corps is a national security interest” in his ruling.
Students for Fair Admissions, the anti-affirmative action group that filed the suit which resulted in the Supreme Court’s landmark June 2023 ruling, brought the case against the Naval Academy in a bid to expand the reach of that major decision, according to The Wall Street Journal. Edward Blum, the leader of Students for Fair Admissions, said that he is disappointed in the ruling and that he intends to appeal it. Read more

- Lord, we pray that this ruling will be overturned so that all people regardless of skin color will be eligible for the Naval Academy. We pray for a return to a merit-based system that allows people of all races to be a part of our military.

5. Republican wunderkind who helped Trump win Pennsylvania sets sights on flipping another long-blue state – New York Post
The Republican wunderkind credited with helping President-elect Trump claim pivotal Pennsylvania in his decisive Election Day win is now setting his sights on New Jersey.
Scott Presler, an indomitable voter-registration activist and founder of the Political Action Committee Early Vote Action, said the long-blue Garden State is ripe to turn red.
“New Jersey is trending to the right. There’s momentum,” Presler, 36, told The Post. “We have already rehired 23 staff. So whereas Republican parties in the past will pack up, go home, not renew contracts, Early Vote Action already right now, in December of 2024, has staff on the ground.”
Vice President Harris won New Jersey by only 6 points, compared to Biden’s 16-point victory in the state in 2020.
Trump’s performance was the best for a Republican in the state since George W. Bush’s re-election contest 20 years ago. Trump seized Gloucester County and Morris County — both of which he narrowly lost to Biden in 2020. Trump also won Passaic County, which Biden carried by more than 16 points in 2020 and Republicans haven’t won since 1992. Trump’s victories in Cumberland and Atlantic counties were the first for a GOP candidate since 1988. Read more

- Lord, how thankful we are that a younger Republican is taking the reins in this blue state. We pray that all young people who are joining the “momentum” will have Your wisdom and seek Your truth in all that they do.
- “Listen to advice and accept instruction, that you may gain wisdom in the future.” (Proverbs 19:20)

6. Manslaughter Charge Against Daniel Penny Dismissed; Lesser Charge Still Looms – Daily Wire
The Manhattan District Attorney’s office, which is prosecuting Daniel Penny, has decided to drop the second-degree manslaughter charge against him, hoping jurors can come to a verdict on the lesser charge.
Jurors on Friday said they were deadlocked on whether Penny “recklessly” caused the death of Jordan Neely on a New York City subway train last May, prompting Judge Maxwell Wiley and Assistant District Attorney Dafna Yoran to discuss the possibility of dropping the manslaughter charge, journalist Matthew Lee reported.
After discussing it with her colleagues, Yoran told the judge that the DA would like to dismiss the manslaughter charge against Penny, which could have landed him up to 15 years in prison. As Lee reported, Penny’s attorneys argued that such a move would be coercing the jury, but the judge – who has been favorable to the prosecution throughout the trial – disagreed.
Judge Wiley then asked Yoran what he should tell the jury, Lee reported, to which she responded that the judge shouldn’t tell them that this is an acquittal on the manslaughter charge, but simply that it has been dismissed.
Penny’s attorney, Thomas Kenniff, shot back that such a tactic had not been used before, and could create a precedent where prosecutors over-charge someone with the option to withdraw the top charges if a jury cannot make a decision. Read more
|
|
- Father, we lift Daniel Penny before You and ask that all charges be dismissed, not just this first one. If we were in that subway car, we would have rejoiced that someone stepped in to help. We ask for restoration and hope for Mr. Penny over the difficulties he has faced in this situation, and that You will draw him to Your heart.
- “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.” (Romans 15:13)

Ousted Syrian President Assad Granted Asylum in Moscow as World Leaders Hail End of Barbaric Regime
|
|
|
Syria's ousted President Bashar al Assad has arrived in Moscow, Russian state media has confirmed.
Mr Assad and members of his family arrived in the city on Sunday, a Kremlin source told the TASS news agency.
The source added: "Russia, for humanitarian reasons, has granted them asylum."
Mr Assad's location was confirmed as Russian news agencies said Moscow had struck a deal with Syrian opposition leaders. A source said the rebels have guaranteed the safety of Russian military bases and diplomatic institutions in Syria.
Mr Assad left the Syrian capital of Damascus after his government fell following a lightning offensive by anti-regime forces across the country - bringing his 24-year rule to an end.

- Father God, only You know what lies ahead now for the people of Syria, and for their now-deposed President, Bashar Assad. Lord God, in just this past week alone, we have witnessed the shakings of three major governments around the world: Syria, France and South Korea. May we all now "wake up" to discern that these shakings are yet another sign of Your soon return.
We lay this complex matter before Your Throne of grace, asking in particular for the safety and protection of the Christians in that nation - many of whom were former Muslims. In Your Name, we offer this prayer, amen and amen.

Iran's nuclear leap 'extremely serious, has no civilian justification'
|
|
|
Iran’s increase in the amount of uranium enriched to up to 60 percent purity is “extremely serious,” unjustified for civilian purposes, and contradicts Tehran’s statements regarding credible nuclear negotiations, a Western diplomatic source was quoted by Reuters as saying on Saturday.
"These measures have no credible civilian justification and could, on the contrary, directly fuel a military nuclear program if Iran were to take the decision," the unnamed official said. "They are in contradiction with Iran’s declarations on its willingness to return to credible negotiations."
The International Atomic Energy Agency later confirmed in a confidential report to member states that Iran was speeding up uranium enrichment, a process that refines the raw material so that it can be used as fuel in civil nuclear power generation or, potentially, nuclear weapons. Earthquake researchers race to Humboldt County coast for clues to the next big temblor
|
|
In the days after a 7.0 magnitude earthquake rocked coastal Northern California on Thursday, scientists are rushing to install sensors among the region’s rugged mountains and river basins, hoping to learn more about a fault zone that poses one of the biggest threats to Mendocino and Humboldt counties.
“We want to capture as many aftershocks as we can to get a better sense of everything that’s happening out on the Mendocino Fault off the coast,” where the ground ruptured, said Tim Clements, of the U.S. Geological Survey’s Earthquake Science Center at Moffett Field.
Overhead, scientists are scanning the region by satellite to detect any landslides or broken roads. On the ground, they’re seeking debris flows and landslides.
And in the Bay Area, crews are measuring how the Humboldt earthquake triggered tiny slippage of our region’s faults. They found that the Hayward fault crept a tiny fraction of an inch, according to Oakland-based data collected by research geologist Austin Elliott of the USGS Earthquake Science Center.
The temblor, which struck at 10:44 a.m. Thursday, was California’s largest earthquake since a magnitude 7.1 hit the Kern County town of Ridgecrest on July 5, 2019. The epicenter of this week’s quake was under the Pacific Ocean, about 40 miles off the coast of the historic town of Ferndale. Read More
