Democratic Sen. Warnock wins Georgia runoff against Walker
Democratic Sen. Raphael Warnock defeated Republican challenger Herschel Walker in a Georgia runoff election Tuesday, ensuring Democrats an outright majority in the Senate for the rest of President Joe Biden’s current term and capping an underwhelming midterm cycle for the GOP in the last major vote of the year.

With Warnock’s second runoff victory in as many years, Democrats will have a 51-49 Senate majority, gaining a seat from the current 50-50 split with John Fetterman’s victory in Pennsylvania. There will be divided government, however, with Republicans having narrowly flipped House control.

“After a hard-fought campaign — or, should I say, campaigns — it is my honor to utter the four most powerful words ever spoken in a democracy: The people have spoken,” Warnock, 53, told jubilant supporters who packed a downtown Atlanta hotel ballroom. (AP) Read more here.
- Lord God, we pray for Georgia’s new Senator and for the entire Senate that will be taking over in January that they would turn their face towards you and seek you in all they do. We pray that that they choose to turn away from evil and do what is right. Amen.

“The highway of the upright is to depart from evil; He who watches his way preserves his life.” (Proverbs 16:17)

Religious liberty advocates rally against 'unconstitutional' Colo. law as Supreme Court mulls pivotal case
Religious liberty advocates gathered for a rally outside the United States Supreme Court Monday as the justices heard oral arguments in the case of 303 Creative LLC v. Elenis, a case that will likely have major implications for religious liberty and freedom of expression.

Alliance Defending Freedom, which is representing plaintiff Lorie Smith in the case, held a rally outside the Supreme Court as oral arguments took place inside. The case stems from Christian website designer Lorie Smith of 303 Creative challenging the Colorado Anti-Discrimination Act out of concern that the law could characterize her objection to creating websites celebrating same-sex marriages as a violation of nondiscrimination protections for LGBT-identified individuals.

ADF contends that Colorado state law constitutes a violation of its client’s First Amendment rights, which protect her from having to promote a message she disagrees with. Speakers at the rally included business owners who have faced such violations of their rights by states and local governments. (Christian Post) Read more here.
- Praise the Lord that Lorie’s case was heard. We pray that this ruling would be strong and set a positive precedent for free speech and religious liberty that would discourage states from creating hostile laws. We cover Lorie Smith in the blood of Jesus that she would keep demonstrating the love of God to the people who have slandered her and sent her vile messages. In Jesus name amen.

- “It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery.” (Galatians 5:1)

1. Likud readies for fight against clock to pass contentious bills needed for coalition - Times of Israel

Details were emerging Wednesday about presumed incoming prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s planned legislative blitz before his government is sworn in.

Hebrew media reported that Netanyahu’s Likud party plans to form two committees, each headed by a party lawmaker.

One of the committees, to be headed by MK Shlomo Karhi, will oversee a law change aimed at enabling Shas party leader Aryeh Deri to serve as a minister despite his recent conviction on tax charges, as well as legislation enabling far-right Religious Zionism party leader Bezalel Smotrich to gain control of civil bodies with sweeping powers over the West Bank. (Read more)

Outgoing Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid’s Yesh Atid Party on Tuesday called on supporters to attend protests planned for this weekend against the emerging government of Likud leader Benjamin Netanyahu.

“We’re done being upset by the outcome of the [Nov. 1] election. We’re going to fight for our country,” said Lapid in a statement.

Lapid on Monday shot back at Netanyahu’s accusation that his call on municipalities to flout the incoming government’s directives amounted to sedition. (Read more)

1. Larry Hogan Announces Executive Actions Against Tiktok, Other Chinese Companies - The Daily Caller

Republican Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan announced executive actions against Tiktok and several other Chinese entities Tuesday, going beyond the efforts of other Republicans who have taken similar actions in recent weeks.

Hogan’s Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) issued an emergency cybersecurity directive prohibiting the use of certain Chinese- and Russian-associated entities on any state devices or networks. The ban includes Tiktok, Huawei, WeChat, Alibaba and more.

Whether or not to ban Tiktok has become an increasingly important question in conservative circles in recent months, as the application’s ties to the Chinese Communist Party and potential use for spying have been further revealed. (Read more)

2. Christian conservative group denied service at Virginia restaurant as staff felt 'unsafe' - Washington Examiner

Christian and conservative nonprofit organization based in Richmond, Virginia , was rejected service at a restaurant due to its political beliefs.

The Family Foundation had scheduled an event at the Metzger Bar and Butchery on Wednesday but had its reservation canceled by the restaurant less than two hours before the scheduled time. The organization found out that its reservation had been canceled after a restaurant employee looked up the organization, and the restaurant's waitstaff refused to serve it, according to the Family Foundation.

Without mentioning the Family Foundation by name, the restaurant claims it canceled a scheduled event after the restaurant owners found out "it was a group of donors to a political organization that seeks to deprive women and LGBTQ+ persons of their basic human rights in Virginia." (Read more)

- Lord God, we understand that persecution of the church is coming to America, and that it is already here. We pray, Lord, that you will give us supernatural wisdom, and strength during this time. We pray for the body of Christ, that we would rise up and be the most powerful entity on the earth in these last days, bringing glory and honor to the Father, in all that we do. In Jesus name we pray amen.

3. Elon Musk fires Twitter lawyer Jim Baker, who was involved in censoring Hunter Biden laptop and Russia probe - Fox Business

Elon Musk said that Twitter's former Deputy General Counsel James Baker was "exited" from the company on Tuesday after revelations about his role in the platform's handling of the Hunter Biden laptop story.

Journalist Matt Taibbi published internal communications over the weekend that took place among Twitter's top brass in October 2020 about how to deal with the New York Post's publication of materials on Hunter Biden's laptop.

Before joining Twitter, Baker also worked as general counsel at the FBI, where he was a key figure in the bureau's investigation into alleged Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.
Attorney Michael Sussmann met with Baker in 2016 and presented "purported data and ‘white papers’ that allegedly demonstrated a covert communicates channel" between the Trump Organization and Alfa Bank, which is based in Russia. (Read more)

- Thank you Lord, for revealing what we already knew, which is that the fix was in during the pandemic at the very beginning. It was a well orchestrated propaganda machine meant to instill fear, kill, still, and destroy. We pray that more would be exposed and that it would be seen and heard by all citizens of the entire world. And we pray for recompense, for all that was stolen and lost because of these lies in Jesus name amen.

- “Return to your stronghold, O prisoners of hope; today I declare that I will restore to you double.” (Zechariah 9:12)

4. Jury finds Trump Organization guilty of tax fraud scheme - NBC News

A jury in New York on Tuesday found the Trump Organization guilty of all charges in a sweeping, 15-year tax fraud scheme that prosecutors said was orchestrated by top executives at the company.

Jurors deliberated for just over a day before returning the guilty verdicts on a total of 17 counts, including scheme to defraud, conspiracy, criminal tax fraud and falsifying business records. The company faces roughly $1.6 million in fines when it's sentenced. The sentencing is expected to take place on Jan. 13, 2023.

The Trump Organization and Allen Weisselberg, its former longtime chief financial officer, were indicted last year after a multiyear investigation into the company’s financial practices by the Manhattan district attorney’s office. (Read more)

- Lord God, we continue to lift Donald Trump, his family, and his organizations up to you, Lord, that you would lead and guide Donald Trump, in all that he does. We pray that you would give him wisdom and strength on how to handle every obstacle and difficulty that he faces ahead in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

- "So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most." (Hebrews 4:16)

5. Kirk Cameron is denied story-hour slot by public libraries for his new faith-based kids book - Fox News

With a new children's book out that celebrates family, faith and biblical wisdom, actor-writer-producer Kirk Cameron cannot reach scores of American children or their families in many U.S. cities via the public library system because over 50 public libraries have either outright rejected him or not responded to requests on his behalf.

A story-hour program for kids and parents connected to new book releases is an activity that many libraries typically present to their patrons and communities.

Many of the same libraries that won't give Cameron a slot, however, are actively offering "drag queen" story hours or similar programs for kids and young people, according to Cameron's book publisher and according to a review of the libraries' websites and current program listings. (Read more)

- Lord God, It is disturbing that libraries will hold storytime for little kids by transgender‘s and members of the LGBTQ community but they can’t sit and learn about biblical wisdom. Our kids need you and your word now more than ever. We just pray Lord that you would give every child experiential knowledge of you. We pray that you would encounter every child in visions and dreams, and that they would come to know you and be healed from all of the mind control and propaganda that they are being exposed to in Jesus name amen.

- “While evil people and impostors will go on from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.” (2 Timothy 3:13)

6. DOE Touts $200M Grant to Lithium Battery Company as Boon to American-Made Clean Energy. The Company Operates Primarily From China - Free Beacon

President Joe Biden's Department of Energy is touting a grant to a lithium battery company as a move that would help herald the shift to green energy and ensure the United States is cultivating domestic sources of energy. It did not say, however, that the Texas company receiving the grant operates primarily from China and is under scrutiny from American financial regulators.

The DOE announced in October that it would give the $200 million award to Microvast Holdings to build a battery separator facility in Tennessee, using funding from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. At the time, Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm said the grant would "supercharge the private sector to ensure our clean energy future is American-made."

Sen. Marco Rubio (R., Fla.) told the Washington Free Beacon that the Biden administration "has a lot of explaining to do." "Giving hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars to a company whose operations are based in China that refuses to comply with American securities rules is crazy," said Rubio. "What's more, any new technology developed in this partnership is almost certainly going to benefit China given Microvast's operations there. It is just another example of the Biden administration not understanding the threat posed by the Chinese Communist Party." (Read more)

- Lord God, it is clear that the energy disaster that is going on in America is meant to benefit other countries, like China. This betrayal to the American people is so heartbreaking. We truly need an intervention from you, Lord. We need a miracle. We just ask all that has been lost and all betrayal would be made right in Jesus name.

- “I am the LORD, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?" (Jeremiah 32:27)

7. NY Post: FBI Held 'Weekly' Meetings Warning Twitter to Censor Hunter Biden Story Before 2020 Election - CBN News

There's another reason why Twitter censored the New York Post's Hunter Biden laptop story in October 2020.
For a year, the FBI reportedly sat on the laptop scandal, which turned out to be loaded with controversial material. And then, the FBI held weekly meetings with Twitter, warning the social media giant to expect so-called "hack-and-leak operations'' by "state actors" involving Hunter Biden in the weeks before the 2020 election.

In an exclusive story, The NY Post reports the FBI's warnings were so specific that Twitter immediately censored the newspaper's legitimate news story about Hunter Biden's laptop on Oct. 14, 2020. Twitter said it blocked the story due to its "hacked materials" policy. But on Saturday, new CEO Elon Musk called that move "election interference."

"The extraordinary revelation for the first time lays bare how the FBI was involved in pre-bunking the story of the laptop, which had been in the bureau's possession for almost a year," according to The NY Post. (Read more)

- Heavenly Father, we thank You that You never change and you’re always the same. The world that we live in is all an illusion. Everything fighting for our attention everyday is fake and we just don’t know what to believe anymore. But we just praise and we thank you that no matter how dark the world gets we can always count on you and your truth. Amen.

- “…the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.” (James 1:17)

Stupidocrisy: Suspending The Constitution

The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, December 7, 2022

Democrats and the media are demanding that every American condemn former President Donald Trump’s remarks about suspending the Constitution and correcting the 2020 presidential election. It begs the question of how one man, Trump, draws such ire at the mere suggestion of what already has been done by the Democrats, the deep state, the media, the Centers for Disease Control, big pharma, big tech, and a bunch of unelected administrative government agencies? Whether Trump was serious or speaking in hyperbole (the exaggeration of a point to make a point), the former president has exposed what many have been saying for a long time: The Constitution is already suspended, and it has been.

To be straightforward and clear, because the media have paraphrased rather than quoted Trump’s December 3 post on TruthSocial, this is what he posted: “So with the revelation of MASSIVE & WIDESPREAD FRAUD & DECEPTION in working closely with Bight Tech Companies, the DNC & Democratic Party, do you throw the Presidential Election Results of 2020 OUT and declare the RIGHTFUL WINNER, or do you have a NEW ELECTION? A Massive Fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations and articles, even those found in the Constitution. Our great “Founders” did not want, and would not condone, False & Fraudulent Elections!”  Trump asked a question. He didn’t say “suspend” the Constitution. But once again, his opponents judged his words from the content of their own hearts. Read More

Thursday night will be best chance to see Mars in 2022
The red planet won’t appear this bright again until 2025, so experts say the coming days will be the best time to step outside after nightfall and look to the cosmos to witness the upcoming Mars opposition.

Mars has captivated scientists for decades as robots have explored the planet's rocky surface, leaving researchers to wonder what the planet was like millions of years ago and if it once was teeming with life. In the coming nights, the red planet will captivate stargazers as it appears brighter than it has in more than two years.

Mars will reach opposition on Dec. 8, making Thursday night one of the best nights of 2022 to see the planet glow in the sky.

Opposition is when Mars is on the opposite side of the Earth than the sun. After the sun shines all day, Mars will be visible all night, rising in the eastern sky shortly after sunset and setting in the western sky just before sunrise. Mars reaches opposition once every 26 months, with the most recent opposition occurring on Oct. 13, 2020. After this month, it won't happen again until 2025. Read More

California Supreme Court Says Church Cannot Be Forced To Pay Over $200,000 In COVID-19 Fines
The California Supreme Court has determined that Calvary Chapel Church in Santa Clara County does not have to pay the $217,500 in fines imposed by the state for violating COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, the Christian Post (CP) reports. Santa Clara County petitioned the California Supreme Court last week, asking that Calvary Chapel be forced to pay $217,500 in court fees: the and its pastor, Mike McClure, had been found in contempt and fined for violating a temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction by holding in-person worship services in 2020 and 2021, CP reports. The state Supreme Court denied the petition.

The church had met for in-person services in violation of the county’s October 2020 guidance that congregational gatherings be limited to 25% capacity or 100 people, CP said. The county’s guidance did not apply to schools, train stations, airports, medical facilities, malls and retail businesses. Pastor McClure was determined to keep the church open and held in-person services for about 600 people at a time. Responding to criticism for his action, Pastor McClure told his congregation, “There are people who are accusing us that we are trying to kill people, that we don’t care about people. That’s the farthest thing from the truth. [The church] cares about the whole body. I don’t want to break the law, but … I’m called to preach the Gospel.” (Worthy News) Read More
- Lord we sing HALLELUJAH for this victory!! We ask in Jesus name that You would bless Pastor McClure beyond measure and restore all the years the locust have eaten during his court battle. Thank You for justice and protecting this Pastor and church, because of the obedience to You alone! In Jesus mighty name, Amen

O Come O Come Emmanuel

To listen to this classic hymn, CLICK HERE

Words: Author unknown, translated to English by John Neale
Music: 15th Century Processional of French nuns

Scripture: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call Him Emmanuel. Isaiah 7:14

Lyrics:
O come, O come, Emmanuel,
And ransom captive Israel,
That mourns in lonely exile here
Until the Son of God appear.

Rejoice! Rejoice!
Emmanuel shall come to thee, O Israel.

O come, Thou Wisdom from on high,
Who orderest all things mightily;
To us the path of knowledge show,
And teach us in her ways to go.

Refrain

O come, Thou Rod of Jesse, free
Thine own from Satan’s tyranny;
From depths of hell Thy people save,
And give them victory over the grave.

Refrain

O come, O come, great Lord of might,
Who to Thy tribes on Sinai’s height
In ancient times once gave the law
In cloud and majesty and awe.

Refrain

O come, Desire of nations, bind
In one the hearts of all mankind;
Bid Thou our sad divisions cease,
And be Thyself our King of Peace.
