Vote Recount Flips Massachusetts Midterm Race From Republican to Democrat by 1 Vote
|
|
A recount of votes in a Massachusetts state House of Representatives race has placed a Democratic challenger ahead of a Republican incumbent by a single vote after the latter was initially leading following the Nov. 8 elections.
Democrat Kristin Kassner, a first-time candidate, is now leading her Republican opponent Lenny Mirra in the race for the newly redrawn North Shore district, a coastal region between Boston and New Hampshire.
Prior to the recount, Mirra, a five-term Republican, had led Kassner by 10 votes out of the 24,155 votes that were cast across the district, according to the original certified results from Election Day.
However, the 10-vote margin is within the legal threshold that allows for a recount, and Kassner later submitted a petition asking for a district-wide recount of the Nov. 8 election.
Secretary of State Bill Galvin agreed to the hand recount, which was ordered on Nov. 30, as well as another in the First Middlesex District race.
After officials recounted the votes on Dec. 8, the results flipped to put Kassner up 11,763 votes to Mirra’s 11,762.
Kassner picked up a total of 19 additional votes, including 10 in Ipswich, four in Rowley, three in Topsfield, one vote in Newbury, and one vote in Georgetown, according to data provided by Galvin’s office (pdf). Mirra, meanwhile, added five votes in Ipswich, three in Topsfield, and one in Newbury.
The Republican candidate also lost a single vote in Rowley, according to the data.
Mirra to Challenge Recount Results
Mirra told The Boston Globe that he plans to challenge the results.
“Some [ballots] were filled out in pencil, some were filled out with different colored ink, some had stray marks. Some had a name written in the write-in and then an oval filled out,” Mirra said. (The Epoch Times) Read more.

- Father God, we lift this election result to you as a signpost of the hour we now find
ourselves in as a nation. Through prayer, we join Mr. Mirra in yet contesting this news, so that a valid recount can be established. Let us live in TRUTH in this end-time hour, O Lord, and show us Your mercy we pray, in Jesus' name, amen and amen.
- "Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven." (Matthew 18:19)

Musk’s Latest ‘Twitter Files’ Detail Exactly How Trump Was Banned
|
|
The latest installment of the Elon Musk-endorsed “Twitter files,” published on Dec. 12, revealed more internal details about how and why the social media platform suspended former President Donald Trump’s account in January 2021.
In a Twitter thread, journalist Bari Weiss, a former New York Times editor who quit in 2020, recalled what Trump had written on Jan. 8, 2021, which referred to the results of the 2020 election. She noted that Trump had “one remaining strike before being at risk of permanent suspension.”
One post by Trump on Jan. 8 was: “The 75,000,000 great American Patriots who voted for me, AMERICA FIRST, and MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, will have a GIANT VOICE long into the future. They will not be disrespected or treated unfairly in any way, shape or form!!!”
The second one he issued that day would be his last before his account was banned: “To all of those who have asked, I will not be going to the Inauguration on January 20th.”
“For years, Twitter had resisted calls both internal and external to ban Trump on the grounds that blocking a world leader from the platform or removing their controversial tweets would hide important information that people should be able to see and debate,” Weiss wrote on Dec. 12. “But after January 6, as @mtaibbi and @shellenbergermd have documented, pressure grew, both inside and outside of Twitter, to ban Trump.” (The Epoch
Times) Read more here.

- Father God, we thank You that, day by day, more and more facts are being released
to prove that Twitter did, indeed, seek to bury any news related toour 45th President. We ask for continued protection for Elon Musk, and for righteousness to prevail in the end. Amen.
- "For there is nothing hidden which will not be revealed, nor has anything been kept secret but that it should come to light." (Mark 4:22)

Western storm to trigger blizzard, tornadoes as it rolls into Central U.S.
|
|
After dumping five feet of snow in California’s Sierra Nevada, a major storm sweeping through the Rockies is set to intensify as it barrels into the central United States, unleashing multiple types of hazardous weather.
In the northern Rockies and northern Plains, the storm will bring blizzard conditions through midweek, while severe thunderstorms are set to charge through the Southern Plains and parts of the South, possibly spawning tornadoes.
Hurricane Hunters are flying into West Coast storms earlier than ever
The National Weather Service has hoisted blizzard warnings for portions of Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, South Dakota and Nebraska. Winter storm warnings and winter weather advisories cover a much larger surrounding area — running from the high terrain of Arizona to the Great Lakes. Around two feet of snow are possible in the hardest-hit spots, along with gusts topping 60 mph.
The storm which barged into the West Coast over the weekend, and which is poised to cause trouble in the central states, brought welcome rain and snow to California. It was the latest in a parade of storms which has boosted the water supply in the drought-plagued state.
|
|
Much of California has picked up the equivalent of at least one inch of rainfall since the weekend. Across central parts of the state, coastal regions generally saw two or more inches of rain. Mountainous locations near the coast, where it wasn’t cold enough to snow, saw more than 3 inches. Localized totals as high as 8 inches were noted south of Monterey. The torrents triggered rockslides and landslides in some areas.
It’s still snowing in the Sierra Nevada, where peak snowfall totals have reached at least five feet. A report of 60 inches in 48 hours was posted in Soda Springs, which is about 15 miles northwest of Lake Tahoe. Through Sunday afternoon, a dozen locations in the Sierras had reported three feet or more.
Interstate 80 — passing through the famed Donner Pass — was shut for several hours Sunday, according to Caltrans. The shutdown was due to whiteout conditions causing limited visibility and very snowy roadways; snowfall rates climbed as high as 4 to 6 inches per hour. The popular U.S. 50 that runs from Sacramento to Lake Tahoe was also closed at times for avalanche control. Both thoroughfares have since reopened with chain requirements.
Avalanche warnings remain active in the area in and around Lake Tahoe through Monday night. “Avalanche activity could be widespread, and some avalanches could be large and destructive,” wrote the Sierra Avalanche Center. (Washington Post) Read more here.

McCarthy’s opportunity to bring back the 'People’s House'
|
|
Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) hopes to be speaker when Republicans return with the House majority in January. And he already has the support of the vast majority of his GOP colleagues, 188 of them. But he needs 30 more to get to the 218 that will overcome Democratic opposition.
Members of the House Freedom Caucus are withholding their support and demanding various procedural changes in exchange for their votes. There is a neat and desirable solution, for many of the Freedom Caucus's demands would return the House to a better way of operating. Thus, McCarthy can win the backing of his colleagues and, at the same time, seize an historic opportunity to make at least one side of Congress function better.
HOUSE REPUBLICANS AMP UP PRESSURE ON MCCARTHY
The Founding Fathers always intended the House to be the federal institution closest to the people. But for far too long, leaders of both parties have consolidated power in the speaker’s office. Now, McCarthy can make it the "People’s House" again.
The Freedom Caucus identified several changes to both House and Republican Conference rules that would, as they put it, “give all Members the power to fix Washington” and “hold our own party leaders accountable.” (Washington Examiner) Read more here.

- Lord God, we continue to pray in the Spirit over the selection of the next Speaker of the House, who will represent the majority, Republican Party in leadership. Thank You, O Lord, for the gift of tongues as we pray for Your will to be done in this critical matter. Amen.
- "Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God." (Romans 8:26,27)

1. Bill to expand police minister’s authority passes preliminary reading - Times of Israel
A bill to expand the authority of the national security minister police minister — set to be Otzma Yehudit head Itamar Ben Gvir — over the police force passes its preliminary reading in the Knesset.
Outgoing minister Omer Barlev, says in the discussion preceding the vote that broadening the minister’s powers would threaten turning Israel into a “police state.”
Barlev says that while the bill is meant to create a command relationship between police minister and police commissioner akin to the IDF chief of staff’s subordination to the defense minister, the comparison is inappropriate. While the IDF operates against external threats, the police deals with Israeli citizens, and the primacy of Israeli law versus minister directive should be unchallenged. (Read more)

2. Israel said set to show UN envoy proof most slain Palestinian minors had terror ties - Times of Israel
Israel reportedly intends to present a visiting senior UN official with what it says is proof that most of the Palestinian minors killed by Israeli troops had been involved with terror groups and were engaged in military or quasi-military activity.
Virginia Gamba, UN special representative for children and armed conflict, is currently on a visit to Israel, the West Bank, and the Gaza Strip, during which she will visit senior Israeli and Palestinian officials, for her annual report of harm to children in the conflict.
Unnamed diplomatic sources cited by Channel 13 news and the Kan public broadcaster on Monday said that officials will present Gamba with information on the “cynical use of kids by Palestinians, especially by terror groups: From recruiting children and teenagers as combatants to weapons training, summer camps, indoctrination, and using UNRWA schools as shelters for terrorists.” (Read more)

4. ‘ ‘Failure’: Dump two-state solution, not in EU’s interests, says European think tank - World Israel News
A European think tank of international law experts came out last week with a detailed study of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and concluded that the European Union should dump the “two-state solution” policy as it has failed and does not align with EU interests.
The Hague Initiative for International Cooperation (thinc.) launched its 300-page analysis, called
“Two States for Two Peoples?” at the European Parliament in Brussels on December 7. Its authors, Andrew Tucker and Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Bock, outlined the legal, historical and practical problems with the policy that the EU has advocated since the 1970s.
These include the EU’s consistent disregard of the fact that all relevant Palestinian political organizations, including the Palestinian Authority (PA), have rejected all Israeli proposals in peace negotiations. Europe also ignores the Palestinians’ constant promotion of the destruction of Israel rather than the establishment of a democratically accountable and peaceful state alongside it, they noted. 1. Afghanistan's Taliban displays pallets of cash received for 'humanitarian aid' - Fox News
A large package containing around $40 million in cash for "humanitarian aid" was seen on an airport tarmac in Afghanistan, officials there said last week. The money was handed over to the Da Bank of Afghanistan, the Taliban-controlled central bank of Afghanistan, which is headquartered in Kabul. The bank tweeted several images of the cash.
One shows packages of U.S. $100 notes bound in plastic, boxed and bagged in an airport. “Another package of humanitarian aid worth $40 million dollars arrived in Afghanistan and was handed over to a commercial bank in Kabul. This is the second package that has arrived in Afghanistan this week," the caption reads.
The bank did not say where the money came from. The bank has received several separate shipments of millions of dollars in recent weeks, according to several identical tweets it posted last month. (Read more)

2. Joe Biden on When Inflation Will Go Back to Normal - Brietbart
“I hope by the end of next year or much closer, I can’t make that prediction,” he said when asked by a reporter at the White House when he expected prices to go back to normal.
Biden delivered a triumphant speech after the consumer price index showed prices only rose 0.1 percent in the month of November and 7.1 percent from the previous year.
“[I]nflation is coming down in America,” he said. This is the lowest rate of inflation since December 2021, when inflation rates began spiking after Democrats and Biden passed trillions of dollars in government spending. (Read more)

- Holy King, this man is woefully out of touch with we, the people and the economy, and seems to think that his rhetoric will convince us. Sadly, that has been true in the past, however, we are now waking up and looking to You to show us the way through this miry swamp. We thank You Father, that these troubling times have pushed more and more people to pray and reflect on their faith. We decree that the church would arise and truth would be shouted from the housetops and the gospel of peace shared in the streets so we may stand strong in the face of this tyranny, in Jesus name.

3. EL PASO: Shelters Overwhelmed, Migrant Violence Hits Outside Bus Station - Brietbart
As freezing weather approaches El Paso, a homeless shelter reports it is beyond capacity due to the surge in migrants being released on the city’s streets. Elsewhere in the city, two migrants were attacked and robbed outside a bus station by another migrant illegally present from Mexico.
As thousands of migrants camp out along the Rio Grande in Mexico and along the streets of El Paso, freezing conditions are expected to hit. Five homeless shelters report they are unable to accept new people as they are either at or above capacity, KVIA ABC7 in El Paso reported.
According to a dashboard run by the City of El Paso, Border Patrol officials are holding 5,628 migrants in custody. This is up by more than 500 from Monday in a facility that is already well above capacity. The dashboard reports the release of nearly 500 people daily onto the city’s streets and an additional 800 into community shelters operated by NGOs. (Read more)

We absolutely put a stop to these immigrants, cartels, drugs and traffickers who are pushing their way into our country. We erect a spiritual wall of fire that will drive them back home with the fear of God, so they may do right by their own nation and people, in Jesus name. Amen.

4. Cambridge Dictionary Changes Woman Definition to Push Transgenderism - Brietbart
The Cambridge Dictionary appears to have followed Merriam-Webster down the rabbit hole into woke oblivion by changing the definition of “Woman” to appease transgender radicals.
Though it remains inconclusive as to when the Cambridge Dictionary made the switch to include transgenderism, the definition for “Woman” now includes the following as a subset of the actual definition: “An adult who lives and identifies as female though they have been said to have a different sex at birth.”
According to the archives dating back to March 2022, the Cambridge Dictionary only featured the normative definition of the word woman to mean “an adult female human being.” (Read more)

5. Non-binary Biden nuclear official Sam Brinton fired after multiple luggage theft charges - New York Post
The Department of Energy has fired a top nuclear waste official who happens to be non-binary and has been accused in a string of luggage thefts, according to reports. “Sam Brinton is no longer a DOE employee. By law, the Department of Energy cannot comment further on personnel matters,” a spokesperson for the DOE told the Daily Beast on Monday.
The 35-year-old Biden administration deputy assistant secretary for spent fuel and waste disposition at the DOE’s Office of Nuclear Energy was reportedly canned after being charged with stealing a woman’s suitcase from a Minneapolis airport in September and another woman’s bag from a Las Vegas airport in July.
Brinton, who was appointed to his former position in June, was caught on surveillance cameras making off with a $320 bag from Las Vegas’ Harry Reid International Airport’s baggage claim area — a bag that contained more than $3,500 worth of jewelry, clothing and makeup, according to police. 6. Biden invites anti-police nonbinary drag queen to White House - Fox News
The White House invited Marti Gould Cummings, a nonbinary drag queen who has repeatedly attacked police online, to attend the Respect for Marriage Act signing ceremony Tuesday.
Cummings thanked President Biden and first lady Jill Biden and shared an image of the digital invitation in a social media post Monday. Last week, the House passed the legislation, which mandates the federal government recognizes same-sex marriages instates where they are legal, in a 258-169 vote that included 29 Republican votes days after the Senate approved the bill in a 61-36 vote.
"F--- the police," Cummings tweeted on Aug. 24, 2020.
"Yes we want to defund police. Yes we want to abolish ICE. No we won’t settle for anything less and will continue to fight for this to happen," Cummings added in a tweet later that same day.
Earlier this year, Cummings tweeted support for "ACAB Coffee," a cafe that theoretically wouldn't serve police officers. ACAB is an acronym for "all cops are b------." (Read more)

- Father God, this is an absolute outrage on so many levels. Everything about this event is anathema to the people of God and certainly to You, our God and King. We repudiate this administration and everything about the signing of this foul bill from the pit of hell, most especially the sexual deviancy of the entertainer they welcomed who embraces lawlessness. 7. Biden official hid info about meetings with George Soros, Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi from public - Fox News
Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Chairman Gary Gensler scrubbed mention of a meeting with former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and key details of a meeting with billionaire Democratic donor George Soros from the public version of his calendar.
Gensler's public calendar showed that he only had a staff meeting on Aug. 7, 2021, while his private calendar lists a meeting with Clinton, according to a Fox News Digital review. And on Aug. 20, 2021, his public calendar lists a meeting with Soros but hid the meeting's agenda, which his private calendar shows was to discuss a forthcoming Wall Street Journal op-ed the business magnate was planning to write.
Gensler's private calendar revealing the discrepancies was obtained by the watchdog group Energy Policy Advocates and shared with Fox News Digital. The group was only able to obtain the internal records after filing a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit against the SEC. (Read more)

8. Pathologist Receives Inflamed Calcified Placentas from 'Vaccinated' Women - Rair Foundation
Dr. Cole is hearing from oncologists and colleagues left and right, and they are seeing an alarming rate of unusual cancers, especially leiomyosarcoma, in the vaginal tract and uterus.
And then they came for the unborn.
Dr. Ryan Cole, the pathologist who has been speaking about the anomalies he has discovered in the bodies of vaccinated and unvaccinated patients since the roll-out of the covid shots, is now seeing unusual signs that are a huge red flag for fertility.
Not only is the world experiencing plunging birth rates, a trend that has only grown since the roll-out of covid “vaccines,” but now we are also seeing sky-rocketing miscarriages and fetal mortality. An inkling that this would happen was given in early 2022 by whistleblower Mick Haddock, a coffin manufacturer in Toronto, who noticed bulk orders for infant coffins. (Read more)

Oh Abba, we pray for mercy in the midst of this nightmare coming. 9. Concerns mount over media, government quashing election integrity efforts through intimidation - Just the News
Concerns are mounting among those supporting initiatives to thwart voter fraud and promote the integrity of future elections that their active participation will invite the fury of a Democrat-led campaign to ostracize, investigate, and potentially prosecute them for being so-called "election deniers."
This coordinated intimidation campaign is driven by media, progressive networks, and state and federal government, according to leaders of the election integrity movement who spoke to Just the News, and has led to many activists staying home and lawyers — particularly Republican lawyers — not wanting to take on legal challenges against controversial voting rule changes.
Such fear was evident in Michigan last week, when an apparent threat by Democrat Attorney General Dana Nessel to arrest and prosecute local activists promoting election integrity and anti-voter fraud initiatives caused many of them to steer clear of a contentious monitoring effort out of fear of being targeted by the government. - Mighty God, we call the church and conservatives to stand up and speak out against this intimidation campaign. May we learn from Brazil, Iran or China, where the people are speaking out day and night and suffering because of it. If we continue to be cowards in the face of the nastiness of the adversary, what will we have to say to our posterity? Holy King, raise up many warriors and leaders of strength with voice and Word. Put some backbones in the people who have the ability to fight the adversary and save this nation, just as King David did, in Jesus name!

10. White House Condemns Elon Musk for ‘Dangerous’ Social Media ‘Attacks’ on Dr. Anthony Fauci - Brietbart
The White House on Monday condemned billionaire Elon Musk after he ridiculed President Joe Biden’s close coronavirus advisor and National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases director Dr. Anthony Fauci on social media.
“My pronouns are Prosecute/Fauci,” Musk wrote on his Twitter account on Sunday. But White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre criticized Musk’s social media remarks as “dangerous.”
“These attacks, these personal attacks that we have been seeing are dangerous on Dr. Fauci and other public health officials as well, they are disgusting and they are divorced of reality,” she said during the daily briefing. She said the White House would continue to defend Fauci from criticism of his handling of the coronavirus pandemic. (Read more)

The Disinformation Age
The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, December 13, 2022
One thing that historians may well document is the roaring 20’s of disinformation—that is, the 2020s. The public was fed a steady diet that information was disinformation and disinformation was information. There was information that mail in ballots were used to defraud elections. There was information that a presidential candidate was involved in illegal activities with his son. There was information that the FBI and other government agencies were collaborating with a political party. There was information of better science to prevent and treat what became a worldwide pandemic. All this was characterized as disinformation by government, media, and big business. Now the truth is coming out.
The Twitter files are clearly demonstrating a pattern of deceit and disinformation that can be readily applied to several of the big time lies that government, media, and big business have perpetrated on the public to forward their agendas. That pattern is to overwhelm truth with a very loud and consistent media and public relations campaign that establishes agendas as the prevailing thought. It is so insidious that it suppresses truth, censors those bringing the truth, and labels truth-bearers with derogatory terms, like racist, bigot, denier, homophobe, misogynist, hatemonger, religious fanatic, white supremacist, whatever. As Americans, we have witnessed this brainwashing repeatedly during this decade.

Rewarding hostage-taking endangers Americans everywhere
By Frank Gaffney
|
|
|
This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute.
Basketball star Brittney Griner is back in the USA, her freedom from a Russian jail bought with the release of Viktor Bout, a notorious arms trafficker nicknamed “the Merchant of Death.” Presumably, he’s back in business and almost certainly working to help his friend and liberator, Vladimir Putin, replenish the Kremlin’s depleted stocks of weapons for use against Ukraine, adding to the blood of countless victims already on Bout’s hands.
As it happens, this ransom was paid shortly before the arrest of a Libyan intelligence officer named Mohammad Mas’ud accused of building the bomb that killed 230 people when it blew up Pan Am 103 thirty-four years ago.
With the Biden administration rewarding those who take Americans hostage, what are the chances that someone in Libya’s failed state will try to grab one of us to free Mas’ud next?
This is Frank Gaffney.

Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert narrowly won re-election, recount confirms
|
|
|
An automatic recount confirmed that Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert narrowly won her bid for re-election, Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold announced Monday evening.
NBC News’ Decision Desk has projected the far-right lawmaker the winner of the Senate race against her Democratic challenger Adam Frisch. The recount found a four-vote difference from November’s result, with Boebert receiving 546 more votes than Frisch.
With all House races from the midterm elections now called, Republicans are projected to have a nine-seat majority in the new Congress next month: 222 GOP members to Democrats’ 213.
Boebert, a staunch ally of former President Donald Trump, found herself in an unexpectedly tight race for her House seat in a district rated as solidly Republican prior to the November midterm elections by the nonpartisan Cook Political Report.
The close contest came as a surprise after Boebert handily defeated a more moderate primary opponent in June. Trump previously won the district twice, capturing 53.1% of the vote in 2016 and 52.9% four years later.
In her first term in Congress, Boebert gained attention for a series of inflammatory remarks and is among a group of Republican lawmakers who have repeatedly pushed Trump’s false claims of election fraud in the 2020 election.(NBC News)

- Father God, we thank You for the true vote that has been taken in the State of Colorado -- one that is now free of fraud. We bless Congressman Boebert as she continues to serve her people in the House of Representatives. May she continue to be a voice that upholds Constitutional truth with every vote she casts in the next session of Congress. Amen.
- "Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD." (Psalm 150:6)

We are sad to share the news that our dear friend, and outstanding brother in Christ, Dave Butts, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 26th.
Dave served all of us in the Body of Christ for many, many years as the Chairman of the National Prayer Committee. As a national leader over those many years, Dave set an example for all of us, demonstrating an unflinching and equal love for all, in a style of great humility.
All of us in our CHPP network will miss Dave in the days ahead, as we now lift up his wife, Kim, and his family in mourning . . .
"Blessed are they that mourn, for they shall be comforted." (Matthew 5:4)

Latest International Water Satellite Packs an Engineering Punch

Meet the scientific heart of the Surface Water and Ocean Topography mission, which will see Earth’s water in higher definition than ever before.
SWOT media reel

SWOT Teachable Moment
Play SWOT launch bingo
Set for a Thursday, Dec. 15 launch, the Surface Water and Ocean Topography (SWOT) satellite promises to provide an extraordinary accounting of water over much of Earth’s surface. Its measurements of fresh water and the ocean will help researchers address some of the most pressing climate questions of our time and help communities prepare for a warming world. Making this possible is a scientific instrument called the Ka-band Radar Interferometer (KaRIn).
Years in development, the instrument has been designed to capture very precise measurements of the height of water in Earth’s freshwater bodies and the ocean. KaRIn will measure the height of water in the ocean, “seeing” features like currents and eddies that are less than 13 miles (20 kilometers) across – up to 10 times smaller than those detectable with other sea level satellites. It will also collect data on lakes and reservoirs larger than 15 acres (62,500 square meters) and rivers wider than 330 feet (100 meters) across. Read More

Wyoming: Christian Group Is Free To Hire Only Christians Following Settlement Of Discrimination Lawsuit
|
|
Federal agencies and the state of Wyoming have acknowledged in settling a lawsuit filed against them that the Christian Wyoming Rescue Mission is free to hire only like-minded believers who share in the organization’s mission to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the Washington Times reports. Founded in 1978, the Wyoming Rescue Mission is a Christian organization that seeks to offer “a nurturing, healing space where those experiencing homelessness, hunger, addiction or poverty are empowered to transform their lives through the love of Christ.”
The Mission stipulates on its website that all of its employees must be able to lead Bible studies and share the Gospel and must therefore have a personal relationship with Christ. “It is essential that all employees of the Mission have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and subscribe to our Statement of Faith and Ministry Principles. Employees must be willing to lead and/or participate in Bible study, prayer, devotions, and sharing the Gospel,” the group’s website informs.
Litigation arose when a professing non-Christian applied for a job in the Mission’s thrift store in 2020 and was turned down because he is not a believer in Christ, the Times reports. The applicant sued the Mission on the grounds of discrimination, and a 16-month federal investigation ensued. Eventually, government officials agreed that there had “likely” been a violation of Wyoming’s Fair Employment Practices Act and Title VII of the federal Civil Rights Act of 1964.
The Mission itself then filed suit against state and federal agencies two months ago, arguing the First Amendment of the Constitution permits it to hire staff who share its beliefs and views “without being threatened and investigated by the government,” the Times reports. A settlement has now been reached whereby the Mission is free to hire only those that can share the Gospel and help to make disciples in accordance with Christ’s commission. The consent decree also stipulates the state agency will pay $10,000 in attorneys’ fees, the Times said. (Worthy News) Read More

- Lord, we thank You for guiding this Christian Rescue Mission to fight back for a righteous verdict! We ask, in Jesus name, that the provision of steep court costs would also be provided. Place a hedge of protection over this organization and pour Your blessings over them, bringing stories of miracles for Your GLORY! In Jesus mighty name, we pray-Amen.
- "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you." (Isaiah 43:2)

The First Noel
To listen to this classic hymn, CLICK HERE
Words and Music: Traditional English Carol
Scripture: There were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. Luke 2:8–9
Lyrics:
The first Noel the angel did say
Was to certain poor shepherds
In fields as they lay;
In fields where they lay tending their sheep,
On a cold winter’s night that was so deep.
Refrain
Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel,
Born is the King of Israel.
They lookèd up and saw a star
Shining in the east,
Beyond them far;
And to the earth it gave great light,
And so it continued both day and night.
Refrain
And by the light of that same star
Three wise men came
From country far;
To seek for a king was their intent,
And to follow the star wherever it went.
Refrain
This star drew nigh to the northwest,
Over Bethlehem
It took its rest;
And there it did both stop and stay,
Right over the place where Jesus lay.
Refrain
Then did they know assuredly
Within that house
The King did lie;
One entered it them for to see,
And found the Babe in poverty.
Refrain
Then entered in those wise men three,
Full reverently
Upon the knee,
And offered there, in His presence,
Their gold and myrrh and frankincense.
Refrain
