Key senator reportedly behind Harris' rise to power withholds his endorsement for president
|
|
Montana's vulnerable Sen. Jon Tester will not be making an endorsement in the presidential election where Vice President Kamala Harris is running as the Democratic nominee, despite reportedly playing a role in her recruitment to the Senate.
Tester previously served as chair of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) from 2015 to 2017, leading the efforts of the campaign arm to elect Democrats to the chamber when Harris first announced her senatorial aspirations.
After Harris launched her California Senate bid, the Los Angeles Times reported in January 2015 that, according to an adviser, Tester was one of the players encouraging her to run.
Despite his previous support for Harris, Tester said he will not be making an endorsement in this year's race because he will be focusing on his own re-election bid. (Fox News)

- Lord God, we pray for all of our leaders that they would all use wisdom and discernment when endorsing certain candidates, no matter what position they’re running for. We continue to lift up every single leadership position in our government to you, Lord, that each leader would resist evil agendas, and choose to turn towards you and work for the people and the betterment of our country. In Jesus' name, amen.

I left the Democrat Party and will do all I can to return Donald Trump to the White House

"I urge all Americans to join me in doing all we can to save our country"
|
|
This morning, I had the privilege of visiting Arlington Cemetery with President Trump and the Gold Star families of SSG Hoover and SGT Gee, two of the thirteen servicemembers who were killed in the attack at Abbey Gate in Kabul three years ago today.
Being there with President Trump, honoring the lives of those who sacrificed all, I saw firsthand the sorrow he shared with the families left behind, expressing his sincere appreciation the sacrifices made by their loved ones, our brothers and sisters, who paid the ultimate price.
This is personal for me. My first deployment to Iraq was with the Hawaii Army National Guard in 2005 where I served in a medical unit, every day confronted with the high cost of war. We lost so many of our brothers and sisters who never made that long trip home, and others who did come home, only to lose them to suicide.
President Trump understands the grave responsibility that our President and Commander in Chief has for us and our families, and values the lives of every one of us -- Soldiers, Airmen, Sailors, Marines and Coasties. He knows the cost of war. It's not just lip service. During his first term as President, he not only didn't start any new wars, he took action to de-escalate tensions and prevent conflict. He understands the cost of war and has shown he will exhaust all measures of diplomacy, having the courage to meet with adversaries, dictators and allies alike in the pursuit of peace, seeing war as a last resort.
The same cannot be said about Kamala Harris. In fact, the opposite is true. The Harris-Biden administration has us embroiled in multiple wars around the world and closer to nuclear war now than ever before. (Fox News) Read more here.

- Lord God we thank you for bold leaders that are choosing righteousness, justice, and truth, no matter what the cost. We pray, Lord that actions like these would inspire more leaders to reject evil agendas and stand up for truth in Jesus name amen

President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris "have never once reached out" to the Gold Star families who lost their loved ones in the deadly bombing at Abbey Gate that killed 13 Americans during the disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal three years ago.
Members of the Gold Star families participated in a call with GOP Vice Presidential nominee Sen. JD Vance, the Trump campaign and reporters Monday afternoon — three years after the attack.
The suicide bombing by a member of ISIS-K at the Abbey Gate entrance of Hamid Karzai International Airport took the lives of 13 U.S. service members – 11 Marines, one Navy sailor and one Army soldier. Eighteen other U.S. service members were wounded. The bombing also left more than 150 civilians dead. (Fox News) Read more here.

- Lord God, it saddens us to hear those who have fought and served for this great country are being neglected. Lord, we think you that you are a God of righteousness, justice, and you command your people to always take care of the poor, the needy, and those who have suffered loss. Lord, we just pray over these families that you would comfort them in their time of suffering and we just pray, supernatural peace and joy over their minds and their souls right now that they would be encouraged by the God of the universe, in Jesus' name, amen.
- "For there will never cease to be poor in the land. Therefore I command you, ‘You shall open wide your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the poor, in your land.’" (Deuteronomy 15:11)

VP Harris did release a statement honoring the 13 U.S. service members who were killed in Afghanistan on Aug. 26, 2021
|
|
Vice President Kamala Harris issued a statement Monday morning honoring the 13 U.S. service members who were killed during the botched withdrawal from Afghanistan three years ago, but has been conspicuously absent from public memorials or events on the anniversary of their deaths.
Harris released a statement early Monday morning naming the 13 U.S. service members who were killed during the terrorist attack at Abbey Gate outside Kabul's Hamid Karzai International Airport on Aug. 26, 2021, mourning their deaths and calling on Americans to "come together as one nation to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice three years ago."
"Today and everyday, I mourn and honor them. My prayers are with their families and loved ones. My heart breaks for their pain and their loss. These 13 devoted patriots represent the best of America, putting our beloved nation and their fellow Americans above themselves and deploying into danger to keep their fellow citizens safe," Harris wrote in the statement.
Harris also posted her statement to her vice president X account on Monday.
During her acceptance speech last week, Harris touted her foreign policy record and support of veterans, but left out any mention of the Biden-Harris administration’s botched withdrawal from Afghanistan. (Fox News) Read more here.

- Lord God, the more we learn about the background of VP Kamala Harris, the less we like it. It is so difficult to honor one who has consistently refused to honor those who have served in the military and those who have even given their lives as a sacrifice for us. We ask that the American public be made aware of these facts, so that we can vote with wisdom. Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer, amen and amen.

2. Israeli Forces Rescue Hostage Alive From Gaza Tunnel - Algemeiner
Israeli special forces have recovered an Israeli hostage from a tunnel in the southern Gaza Strip in “a complex rescue operation,” the military said on Tuesday, more than 10 months after he was abducted by Hamas-led Palestinian terrorists on Oct. 7.
It said 52 year-old Qaid Farhan Alkadi, a member of the Bedouin community in southern Israel, had been transferred to Soroka hospital in Beersheva and his condition was stable.
Military spokesperson Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said Alkadi, a father of 11, had been rescued in an underground tunnel but gave no details of the operation, citing the security of the remaining hostages and Israeli forces.

5. Italian far-Left party publishes list of Jews to be 'condemned and fought' - Israel Hayom
The New Communist Party of Italy has published a list of more than 150 Italian Jews, including well-known figures in politics, media, and business, labeling them as "Zionist agents" to be "condemned and fought" for supporting Israel, reports Jewish News Syndicate.
Titled "Zionist Organizations and Agents in Italy," the list categorizes individuals and companies across various sectors, including finance, industry, technology, and military. It names prominent figures such as Senator Ester Mieli, former Italian Ambassador to Israel Luigi Mattiolo, and journalists Maurizio Molinari and Emanuela Dviri.
Although the New Communist Party is considered a marginal political force, the publication of this list has garnered widespread attention and condemnation from across the Italian political spectrum.
The right-wing Brothers of Italy Party strongly denounced the list. Senate President Ignazio La Russa, a co-founder of Brothers of Italy, stated, "I find it very serious that the New Communist Party has published on its website names and surnames of politicians, journalists, and entrepreneurs 'guilty' of having supported Israel. This is a serious and unacceptable attack on freedom of thought and a worrying threat to the safety of the people involved." (Read more)

1. Federal judge blocks Biden admin move to give legal status to illegal immigrant spouses of US citizens - Fox News
The Biden administration’s efforts to grant a pathway to citizenship to some illegal immigrant spouses of U.S. citizens have been put on hold temporarily by a federal judge after a lawsuit from 16 Republican-led states.
U.S. District Judge J. Campbell Barker on Monday put a stay on the "parole in place" program, which was announced in June and allows for humanitarian parole and a path to permanent residency for certain illegal immigrant spouses of U.S. citizens without them having to leave the country.
The 16 states, led by Texas and America First Legal, argued in a filing first reported by Fox News Digital that the rule violates federal law, which prohibits illegal immigrants from obtaining immigration benefits, including permanent status, without first having left the country and being readmitted. (Read more)
- Thank You Abba, that this judge listened to the will and heart of the people of 16 states regarding illegal immigrants. This program uses the word "parole" and it gives us pause to wonder if these are illegal border crossers or actual criminals being released from prison? We pray for divine strategies and solutions to bring a humane conclusion to the unrighteous acts of the Biden Administration using such people for their own devious purposes, in Jesus name.

2. Kamala Harris ally: We have to 'reimagine' democracy beyond Founders' 'little piece of paper' - Fox News
Human Rights Campaign president Kelley Robinson urged people to "reimagine" freedom and democracy beyond the Founders' "little piece of paper" at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) last week. Robinson spoke on the third night of the DNC, but two days before, she was on a panel at the DNC’s LGBTQ+ Kickoff where she was asked how to "dramatically shift and build more power" for the LGBTQ community and other minorities.
"We can't just worry about protecting democracy. In this moment, we've got to reimagine it with people that look and love like us at the center," Robinson answered.
She continued, "And I think for us right now is about reimagining freedom and this American story in a way that is more revolutionary than what our Founders actually put down on that little piece of paper, but instead is the type of democracy that is by and for all of the people in this country. That's the opportunity that we have." (Read more)
- Mighty God, we take authority over these words spoken at the DNC and we cut them off, both root and fruit, in Jesus name. We declare our nation will remain a Constitutional Republic and the people that want to demean, degrade and desecrate it will be unsuccessful in every endeavor, in Jesus name. We pray for the people of the LGBT community to know the love of Savior Jesus who freely offers His forgiveness and hope to each one, that they may come into the light and be redeemed. Amen.

3. More Americans are thinking about postponing retirement - Fox Business
A growing number of Americans are considering delaying their retirement plans and working longer than planned as they continue to battle high prices, according to a new survey published by LiveCareer. More than 8 in 10 respondents said they have thought about postponing their retirement for financial reasons, while another 92% expressed concern that they will have to work longer than planned.
"Our survey reveals that financial stability is a primary concern among participants, with many fearing they won’t be able to afford to retire and keep up with the bare essentials like health care, or that they might become a financial burden to their loved ones," said Jasmine Escalera, a career expert at LiveCareer.
Retirement elicits fear in many workers, according to the survey. About 61% of workers said they fear retirement more than they do death, while 64% said the thought of retiring is scarier than the thought of getting divorced. One reason for the fear is that Americans are worried they will run out of money in retirement. (Read more)
- Father, we put our finances and fears into Your holy hands. Perhaps more of us should be tithing and rebuking the fear, in Jesus name. These days are not easy for anyone, and we are all living longer and stronger than before, so facing many years ahead of us, with limited resources to live on, can be a daunting endeavor. We pray for Your order in our personal finances and our nation's economy, in Jesus name.
- "'Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this,' Says the Lord of hosts, 'If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it.'" (Malachi 3:10)

4. FIXED?: Swing state officials claim it may take multiple days to count ballots for presidential race - DML News
Election officials in Pennsylvania are warning that the results of the 2024 presidential race may not be available on election night. This caution comes as former President Donald Trump and Sen. JD Vance campaign against Vice President Kamala Harris and Gov. Tim Walz. Pennsylvania Secretary of State Al Schmidt, appointed by Democratic Gov. Josh Shapiro, explained that state law prohibits processing mail-in ballots before 7 a.m. on Election Day.
Schmidt, who previously clashed with Trump, noted that while other states allow earlier processing, Pennsylvania does not. This follows similar warnings in 2020 about delays in counting ballots.
On November 10, 2020, Republican members of Pennsylvania’s House of Representatives called for a legislative audit of the election results and demanded that results not be certified or electors seated until the audit was complete. (Read more)
- Father, we pray for the Republican legislature to be strong about election integrity in Pennsylvania, in Jesus name. We declare that their elections will be upright and handled with integrity and counted with transparency, so that the citizens of that state and this nation can be confident in the results. We bind every plan in every state from implementing fraudulent elections, in Jesus' holy name. Amen.

5. Zuckerberg spills the truth on Biden-Harris censorship pressures during COVID - DML News
In a letter to House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg revealed that the Biden-Harris administration pressured his company, which includes Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, to censor free speech. Zuckerberg pledged to remain neutral, avoid any appearance of bias, and not make political contributions moving forward.
Zuckerberg wrote the following in the letter:
“In 2021, senior officials from the Biden Administration, including the White House, repeatedly pressured our teams for months to censor certain COVID-19 content, including humor and satire, and expressed a lot of frustration with our teams when we didn’t agree. Ultimately, it was our decision whether or not to take content down, and we own our decisions, including COVID-19-related changes we made to our enforcement in the wake of this pressure…
He admitted that the company erred by temporarily demoting a New York Post story about Hunter Biden’s laptop during the 2020 election after officials falsely claimed it was part of a “Russian disinformation operation”: (Read more here)
- Mighty God, we bless You for opening up some doors and windows on truth in our nation and we also thank You for allowing consciences to burn. We know this matter is about much more than we see on the surface, and we pray for just consequences regarding the unrighteous deeds against our nation's legal electorate. We pray that there will not be a return to dirty deeds with large amounts of money given to states and coercive technological actions used regarding the upcoming elections, in Jesus name. We pray for Zuckerberg to come to full repentance and turn his heart to Jesus.
- "But if you bite and devour one another, beware lest you be consumed by one another!" (Galatians 5:15)

6. Texas removes 1 million ineligible voters from voter roll - DML News
Governor Greg Abbott announced Monday that since the enactment of Senate Bill 1 in 2021, Texas has removed over one million individuals from the state’s voter rolls. This includes people who have moved out of state, are deceased or are noncitizens. The process of removing ineligible voters will continue ahead of the 2024 presidential election.
Abbott released the following statement:
“Election integrity is essential to our democracy. I have signed the strongest election laws in the nation to protect the right to vote and to crackdown on illegal voting. These reforms have led to the removal of over one million ineligible people from our voter rolls in the last three years, including noncitizens, deceased voters, and people who moved to another state.
The Secretary of State and county voter registrars have an ongoing legal requirement to review the voter rolls, remove ineligible voters, and refer any potential illegal voting to the Attorney General’s Office and local authorities for investigation and prosecution. Illegal voting in Texas will never be tolerated. We will continue to actively safeguard Texans’ sacred right to vote while also aggressively protecting our elections from illegal voting.” (Read more)
- HalleluJah! We rejoice to see one state standing loud and proud for righteousness in their elections. We pray Father that there are other states who will follow suit to protect legal elections and uphold a standard of justice, for the good of this nation, in Jesus name. We know there will be states that choose to do the wrong thing, and we ask You to intervene on them and cause their entire system to collapse, so that the corruption is exposed and consequented, in Jesus name.
- "'You should not have stood at the crossroads To cut off those among them who escaped; Nor should you have delivered up those among them who remained In the day of distress. For the day of the Lord upon all the nations is near; As you have done, it shall be done to you; Your reprisal shall return upon your own head.'" (Obadiah 14, 15)

The Nothingburger Address
The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, August 27, 2024
She began her acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention with the familiar Kamala Cackles that has been her trademark. Her speech was marked by shrillness and arms flailing about not even synched by points of emphasis. How this person could ever be president is beyond imagination. No vision. No specific policies or ideas of how to correct the problems that the Biden Administration created—inflation, lack of border security, foreign policy issues and wars. It was an incredible lightweight speech with little to no substance. After days of Democrat after Democrat pounding the negatives of Donald Trump, Kamala Harris offered nothing to give Americans beyond what already is.
She said, “With this election, our nation has a precious, fleeting opportunity to move past the bitterness, cynicism, and divisive battles of the past. A chance to chart a New Way Forward….You can always trust me to put country above party and self. To hold sacred America’s fundamental principles. From the rule of law. To free and fair elections. To the peaceful transfer of power.” Yet her party and the Biden Administration has intentionally contributed to the bitterness, cynicism and division with harsh rhetoric against any who disagree with her crazy ideas. And once again, she brings up peaceful transfer of power without mentioning that voter security and election integrity are fundamental to free and fair elections. Read More

One more Israeli hostage has been rescued.
The Israel Defense Force and Israel Security Agency announced Tuesday that another hostage taken during the Oct. 7 terrorist attack has been rescued.
"The IDF and ISA have rescued Qaid Farhan Alkadi from Gaza where he was held hostage, and brought him to his family in Israel. This operation was part of the IDF’s daring and courageous activities conducted deep inside the Gaza strip," said Israeli Minister of Defense Yoav Gallant.
"This operation joins a series of actions taken by the IDF that bring us closer to achieving the goals of this war," Gallant continued. "I would like to reiterate and emphasize: Israel is committed to taking advantage of every opportunity to return the hostages home to Israel."
Qaid Farhan Alkadi from Rahat was reportedly rescued by a mixed company of Israeli combatants, including members of the 401st Brigade, 162nd Division, and Shayetet 13.
Members of the engineering combat spec-ops unit Yahalom and intelligence operatives from the Israel Security Agency also contributed to the rescue. (Read more here)

- Lord God, we celebrate the success of this rescue. We pray for healing and wholeness over this hostage in Jesus name. We pray for new leadership to be elected in November who would be strong defenders of Israel, the Jewish people, the American people, and all of our allies all over the world. May we be known as people of our word and so that others would be able to trust us and know that they can count on us, in Jesus name, amen.

Russia Unleashes One Of 'Largest' Nationwide Aerial Attacks Of War
|
|
|
Russia has once again launched large-scale drone and missile attacks targeting energy sites across Ukraine, including in the capital of Kiev, resulting in three civilian deaths, emergency authorities said.
A total of 15 of Ukraine's 24 oblasts came under the early morning attack, including by cruise missiles and Kinzhal hypersonic missiles, according to the country's Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
"To stop the barbaric shelling of Ukrainian cities, it is necessary to destroy the locations from where Russian missiles are launched," Shmyhal said on Telegram. "Ukraine needs long-range weapons and permission from our partners to use them against Russian targets."
"The enemy used various types of weapons: drones, cruise missiles, and Kinzhals [supersonic missiles]. There are wounded and dead," Shmyhal described.
President Zelensky wrote on X: "The energy sector has sustained significant damage, but in every area affected by power outages, restoration work is already in progress." He further confirmed that these country-wide air attacks were among the "largest" witnessed since the war's start.
Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko announced a country-wide state of emergency in the aftermath, warning of major emergency power disruptions, and in at last two regions this impacted the water supply. He said Russia is "terrorizing" Ukraine by continually going after its critical infrastructure. Significant power outages were reported as far West as Lviv. (ZeroHedge) Read more here.

Jack Smith Asks Appeals Court to Reverse Dismissal of Trump Documents Case
|
|
|
Special counsel Jack Smith has asked the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit to reverse Judge Aileen Cannon’s order dismissing the Justice Department’s prosecution of former President Donald Trump over his handling of classified documents.
“The Attorney General validly appointed the Special Counsel, who is also properly funded,” the special counsel said in a brief to the appellate court on Aug. 26.
“In ruling otherwise, the district court deviated from binding Supreme Court precedent, misconstrued the statutes that authorized the Special Counsel’s appointment, and took inadequate account of the longstanding history of Attorney General appointments of special counsels.”
Story continues below advertisement
Cannon ruled in July that Smith’s appointment as special counsel violated the U.S. Constitution, specifically the appointments and appropriations clauses.
In a 93-page ruling, Cannon wrote that Smith’s prosecution of the former president “breaches two structural cornerstones of our constitutional scheme—the role of Congress in the appointment of constitutional officers, and the role of Congress in authorizing expenditures by law.” (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

- We call this appeal down and cover it in the blood of Jesus so that it will not come to fruition, in Jesus name. We all know these accusations were not right to begin with, and Mr. Smith has clearly shown he is biased in this case. We ask Lord for justice in this area. We pray that the judges will judge in favor of righteousness and not political bias, in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Icelandic volcano eruption sends lava flowing in visual spectacle
|
|
A volcanic eruption began Thursday in Iceland, sending molten lava gushing from a long fissure on the Reykjanes Peninsula and causing evacuations.
It is the volcano system’s sixth eruption since December and the ninth since 2021, according to the Icelandic Ministry for Foreign Affairs, which said the nearby area was evacuated. The eruption has not posed a threat to people in the area and did not disrupt flights, the ministry said Thursday on X.
In some spots, spectators gathered to watch the eruption, which produced molten lava fountains, created a glowing maze of spurts and flows and turned the sky orange and smoky.
The Blue Lagoon, a popular geothermal spa and tourist destination, closed and evacuated visitors after the eruption began. On TikTok, user aa.kenney posted a video while evacuating from the spot, calling it “a bit of a terrifying experience.”
“It’s pretty terrifying for that alarm to go off while you’re way in the back of the pool,” she said. Read More

While speeches and applause took place inside Chicago's United Center during the Democratic National Convention last week, chaos often erupted outside. In the midst of it all, a group of Chicago street ministers boldly shared the gospel just outside the security perimeter. "We went on a day where there were feminists, communists," said Juan-Elias Riesco who leads "Chicago for Jesus," a multi-denominational team supported by the city's Metro Praise International Church. Riesco added, "When we were communicating with the Communist Revolutionaries of America, we had a great 10-15 minute conversation. We talked about Jesus, and we explained to them that the Bible is way more sufficient than any communist manifesto."
He continued, "I had the privilege of ministering the gospel to a trans person. I looked at her and said, 'Did you know that you were fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of God? That God did not design you to be trans but made you perfectly as you are.'" Their encounters were often impactful—and occasionally shocking. "So we know things can take a turn for the worst at any time," Riesco said. "But brother, we believe God has called us to go to these places." Chicago for Jesus remained focused in those places—even when accosted by an anti-Israel demonstrator. "The same guy who was inflicting persecution on us and getting in our face, we found his phone and gave it back to him," Riesco recounted. "He looked at us and said, 'Wow, man, that really changed my perspective on you guys,' and we got to minister to him after that." (CBN) Read More Here

"Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name."
