9/11 groups and families are cheering the death of al Qaeda leader Ayman Al Zawahiri in Afghanistan over the weekend but say more is needed to be done to hold the plotters accountable.
A senior administration official confirmed Zawahri’s death to Fox News, saying the U.S. conducted a counterterrorism operation against "a significant al Qaeda target in Afghanistan."
9/11 Justice, a grassroots organization comprising 9/11 survivors, first responders and family members who lost loved ones that day, said it was grateful to President Biden for this latest victory in the fight against terrorism.
"This is a significant step forward and is particularly meaningful to the 9/11 community as we continue our years-long battle for justice and accountability," 9/11 Justice said in a statement provided to Fox News Digital.
The group additionally commended Biden for declassifying documents on the extent of Saudi Arabia’s involvement in the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
"We urge President Biden to continue to stand with the 9/11 community and all those who seek justice by holding Saudi Arabia accountable for the 9/11 attacks," 9/11 Justice said.

Vladimir Putin targets US in new Russian navy doctrine, warns of using hypersonic weapons
|
|
Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a new naval doctrine that targets the U.S. as Russia's top global adversary.
Putin signed the 55-page during an appearance in St. Petersburg to mark Russia's Navy Day. The Russian leader delivered a speech announcing Russia's plans to become a great maritime power, saying resisting the U.S. is a top goal.
"The strategic policy of the USA to dominate the world's oceans" threatens Russia, Putin said.
Putin went on to claim that a number of warships will soon be equipped with hypersonic weapons.
"The key thing here is the capability of the Russian navy," Putin said. "It is able to respond with lightning speed to all who decides to infringe on our sovereignty and freedom."

The Federal Reserve economists have been targets of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) for years, a report (pdf) made available on July 26 by the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs indicates.
“China considers financial knowledge and economic capability to be a lynchpin to its military modernization efforts,” the report said.
The report revealed how the regime attracted American professionals throughout its decades of espionage. Certain identifying information of individuals had been removed, “At the request of the Federal Reserve Board, to avoid interfering with any ongoing investigations, and in keeping with the Committee’s practice,” the report said. 1. Iran announces activation of hundreds of new centrifuges - Jerusalem Post
The announcement comes just hours after the US announced new sanctions against Iran's petroleum trade.
Iran is activating "hundreds" of new and advanced IR6 and IR1 centrifuges to enrich uranium, Behrouz Kamalvandi, the spokesperson for the Iranian Atomic Energy Organization (IAEO) announced on Monday. 500 IR6 machines will be activated over the next 10 to 15 days, according to the announcement.
The spokesperson stated that the centrifuges were being activated as part of the “Strategic Action Plan to Lift Sanctions and Protect Iranian Nation’s Interest" and reach a minimum enrichment level of 190,000 separative work units (SWU) to meet "the level of [Iran's] needs." (Read more)

2. Israel holds Red Sea navy drill, after warning Iran’s maritime activity is growing - Times of Israel
The American and Israeli navies began a four-day joint maritime exercise in the Red Sea on Monday, less than a month after Defense Minister Benny Gantz said Iran’s maritime activity in the area was the “most significant” in a decade.
“The exercise is a bilateral training event between US 5th Fleet and Israeli naval forces that focuses on mission planning, maritime interdiction and other drills at sea,” a statement said from the US 5th fleet said.
The Israel Defense Forces confirmed the drill, saying Israeli vessels would “participate in a variety of missions alongside [US 5th Fleet] ships and a refueling tanker.” (Read more)

3. Government advances plan for joint industrial park with Jordan - Times of Israel
Israel on Sunday advanced plans to establish a joint Israeli-Jordanian industrial park straddling their border and connected by an existing bridge, in a sign of improving ties between the countries following years of diplomatic malaise.
The plan, dubbed the “Jordan Gateway,” will enable Israelis and Jordanians to “conveniently” cross between the sides to work on joint projects. The proposal was approved by the cabinet at Sunday’s meeting.
“Twenty-eight years after we made peace with Jordan, we are taking the good neighborliness between the two countries one step further. This is a breakthrough that will greatly contribute to the development and strengthening of the region,” Prime Minister Yair Lapid said at the cabinet meeting. (Read more)

4. Olena Zelenska, wife of Ukrainian President: 'Israel's resilience is an inspiration to us' - Israel National News
As the war between Russia and Ukraine drags on with no end in sight, the wife of the Ukrainian President, Olena Zelenska, told Israeli media that she wants her country to learn from Israel's resilience.
"Your past experience is inspirational for Ukrainians," she told Channel 12 on Sunday in a special program initiated by the wife of Israel's President, Michal Herzog, designed to upgrade Ukraine's mental health services. "If you forget us, it's like forgetting yourselves.
"Obviously, it's hard," Zelenska added. "And it doesn't look like it's going to be over anytime soon. We're going to have to make tough decisions about how to apportion our resources. From my perspective, which I think is shared by a majority of Ukrainians, the best thing to do is keep busy and not think too much. The worst is to be constantly listening to news of fresh victims. But the word I keep hearing over and over is 'resilience.' And it gives us encouragement, but we also realize that there's a limit to that resilience. 5. Israeli efforts to defuse Jewish Agency’s Russia crisis reach impasse - World Israel News
An Israel delegation’s efforts to defuse Russia’s crackdown on the Jewish Agency has reached an impasse, the Jerusalem Postreported on Monday night.
Diplomatic sources told the Post that “the meeting took place on Monday morning between public servants and not with the political echelon that actually makes decisions. Therefore, as expected, the meeting was very technical and discussed the legal implications of the Russian privacy laws.”
The Jewish Agency, a quasi-governmental organization which facilitates aliyah, faces a ban on its activities in Russia, with Moscow claiming it violated Russian privacy laws. Israeli officials believe the crackdown is political, in response to Israeli support for Ukraine. (Read more)

1. Biden tests positive for Covid again, will restart isolation despite no new symptoms (cnbc.com)
President Joe Biden on Saturday tested positive for Covid-19 once again after consecutive days of testing negative for the virus, his physician said.
Biden, 79, is experiencing no new symptoms and “continues to feel quite well,” Dr. Kevin O’Connor said in a memo shared by the White House.
But he will nevertheless “reinitiate strict isolation procedures,” the presidential physician wrote.
Biden, who is fully vaccinated and has received two booster shots of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, tweeted Saturday afternoon that he was asymptomatic but would isolate “for the safety of everyone around me.”
“I’m still at work, and will be back on the road soon,” the president’s tweet said.

2. White House to launch updated COVID-19 booster campaign in September | The Hill
The White House is moving ahead with plans to launch a COVID-19 booster campaign in September using a vaccine modified for the omicron subvariants sweeping the country, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said Friday.
The updated vaccine will specifically target the BA.4 and BA.5 subvariants of omicron, which are currently circulating and fueling a new increase in hospitalizations. The announcement marks an acceleration of previous plans, as the reformulated vaccine was not expected to be ready for distribution until at least October.
At the same time, the FDA said it is not considering authorizing a second booster of the original formulation of the COVID-19 mRNA vaccines for otherwise healthy individuals under the age of 50.
Currently, only people aged 50 and older as well as immunocompromised people over the age of 12 are eligible for a second booster shot.
The FDA said the accelerated time frame is possible because both Pfizer and Moderna indicated that they anticipate the modified vaccines being available as early as September. Earlier on Friday, the Biden administration announced a purchase of 66 million doses of the updated Moderna COVID-19 vaccine.

3. Tyranny Denied! New York Dems Can No Longer Send Anyone, Anytime, to a 'COVID Camp' – PJ Media
Yes, the United States has COVID-19 camps.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) quietly published its COVID Camp protocol back in 2020. The plan was to send “sick” people to a camp for the betterment of all. But the phrase “COVID camp” has a negative feel to it. The CDC prefers the words “shielding camps.”
What is a COVID “shielding” camp? I’ll let the CDC explain it. By the way, don’t look for the word “voluntarily” because you won’t find it. That’s likely not an accident.
The shielding approach aims to reduce the number of severe COVID-19 cases by limiting contact between individuals at higher risk of developing severe disease (“high-risk”) and the general population (“low-risk”). High-risk individuals would be temporarily relocated to safe or “green zones” established at the household, neighborhood, camp/sector or community level depending on the context and setting.1,2They would have minimal contact with family members and other low-risk residents.
Like every other authoritarian attempt to curtail our freedoms, the COVID lockdown camps come to us disguised as a virtue. Check out the “strict adherence to protocol” part that every freedom-loving American should be wary of. Remember, they wanted to lock you down to protect “the most vulnerable populations.”

4. Trump Warns Something Worse Than Recession Is Coming (theepochtimes.com)
Former President Donald Trump has warned that America’s economy is on track for a bigger disaster than a recession, with his remarks coming shortly before government statistics showed GDP printing negative for the second consecutive quarter, which is a rule-of-thumb definition for a recession.
“Where we’re going now could be a very bad place,” Trump said at a rally in Arizona last week. “We got to get this act in order, we have to get this country going, or we’re going to have a serious problem.”
The former president singled out the collapse in Americans’ real wages, a historically depressed labor force participation rate, and the Democrat push for the Green New Deal that he said would crush economic growth.
“Not recession. Recession’s a nice word. We’re going to have a much bigger problem than recession. We’ll have a depression,” the former president said.
Trump’s remarks came several days before the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) released data showing that real U.S. GDP fell by an annualized 0.9 percent in the second quarter after contracting 1.6 percent in the first quarter.

5. Florida Education ‘Top Gun’ Tells Schools to Ignore Federal Guidelines on Gender Identity (theepochtimes.com)
Florida Education Commissioner Manny Diaz, Jr. told schools to “ignore federal guidelines aimed at preventing discrimination against students based on gender identity, saying they would “vastly expand the application” of Title IX.
In a July 27 letter to superintendents, school boards, private schools, and charter schools, Diaz advised that guidance documents from the U.S. Department of Education and the U.S. Department of Agriculture “are not binding law” and asked school officials to “refuse to change their practices.”
The letter accused the federal government of trying to “impose sexual ideology on Florida schools” that would create a risk to the “health, safety, and welfare of Florida students.”
“The Department will do everything in its power to protect the well being of all Florida students,” Diaz said in his letter. “And to vindicate the right of all parents to know what takes place in their child’s classroom.”
More than 50 years ago, Title IX was enacted to prohibit gender-based discrimination in educational institutions. In June, the U.S. Department of Education released a proposal that stated it would “provide greater clarity regarding the scope” of sexual discrimination. The U.S. Department of Agriculture became involved through the school-lunch programs in May when it was announced that it would begin interpreting Title IX to “include discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity.”
In his letter, Diaz warned schools against making certain accommodations for transgender students who “identify” as the sex opposite of which they were biologically assigned, especially when it comes to bathroom accommodations.

6. Disgusted Parents Are Suddenly Boycotting Crayola as Company Turns Sickeningly Non-Kid-Friendly (westernjournal.com)
Crayola is under fire after angry parents protested the crayon manufacturer for pushing transgender propaganda in the marketing of its children’s art products. The brouhaha erupted after the company used transgender activist Julian Gavino — a woman who identifies as a man — to shill its crayons.
For reference, the target market for Crayola is children ages 2 to 10. So parents’ concerns that the company is trying to brainwash kids with pro-trans agitprop are not baseless.
On Saturday, Crayola aggressively promoted Gavino (a.k.a. “the Disabled Hippie”) on its Facebook and Instagram pages to celebrate “Disability Pride Month.” In hailing the transgender advocate as a pioneer, Crayola said it hoped barraging the public with her images would normalize “trans bodies in the fashion world.”

7. Biden administration to convene outside lawyers on abortion rights | The Hill
The White House and Justice Department on Friday will host their first meeting with outside lawyers to discuss how to protect those who seek abortions from legal repercussions after the Supreme Court struck down Roe v. Wade.
Attorney General Merrick Garland, Associate Attorney General Vanita Gupta, White House counsel Stuart Delery and second gentleman Doug Emhoff, who is himself a lawyer, will all participate in Friday afternoon’s meeting with attorneys and members of the abortion rights community, the White House said. The outside participants were not immediately named.
The group will discuss legal issues surrounding traveling out of state for abortions, denial of services, criminalization and reproductive health services, the White House said in announcing the meeting.
President Biden signed an executive order three weeks ago that ordered his administration to convene meetings with pro bono attorneys, bar associations and public interest organizations to encourage legal representation of patients and abortion providers.

8. New York governor: Monkeypox is a 'disaster emergency' | Fox News
New York Gov. Kathy Hochul issued an executive order on Friday declaring a State Disaster Emergency in response to the monkeypox outbreak.
New York is the epicenter of the outbreak in the U.S., and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports that there are currently 1,345 confirmed monkeypox and orthopoxvirus cases in the Empire State.
"After reviewing the latest data on the monkeypox outbreak in New York State, I am declaring a State Disaster Emergency to strengthen our aggressive ongoing efforts to confront this outbreak," the leader wrote in a statement.
- Lord, we pray that this edict will not create chaos in New York. We pray against the sin that has caused the outbreak, and ask for move of repentance across every area where it is taking place. We ask for the harvest of people for Your Kingdom.

9. California's Oil and Gas Workers Send Warning to States About Newsom’s Devastating Energy Policies - California Globe
“Attention California Drivers: @GavinNewsom’s ban on gas, diesel & hybrid cars & trucks begins in 2026, before the state has an electrical grid that can charge all the new EVs and keep our lights on and they make affordable EVs that work for families,” Western States Petroleum Association said bright and early Wednesday morning on Twitter.
What is WSPA talking about and why are they advertising in Florida and Texas – the two states and governors Newsom has targeted advertising?
“With Governor Newsom unwilling to listen to Californians about the increased costs and burdens created by his energy bans and mandates, the 150,000 women and men of California’s oil and gas industry are sending a warning sign to other states,” WSPA said. “Through advertisements mirroring the markets Newsom placed his own campaign ads in, industry workers want to caution others about the impacts his policies have had on California communities and their careers.”
“The reason we are advertising in Florida is because we are trying to reach our governor,” Kevin Slagle at WSPA told the Globe. Slagle said Governor Newsom’s energy bans and climate governing is being done by executive order, rather than following the proper rule making process.
And, Newsom is issuing his directives to the California Air Resources Board to fulfill.

10. Billionaire-funded eco group quietly taking farmland out of production in rural America | Fox News
The American Prairie (AP), a conservation project in Montana, has quietly scooped up more than 450,000 acres of land with the help of its billionaire donors and the federal government.
The little-known project aims to create the largest "fully functioning ecosystem" in the continental U.S. by stitching together about 3.2 million acres of private and public lands, according to the American Prairie Foundation, which founded the reserve more than 20 years ago. The group has recorded 34 transactions spanning roughly 453,188 acres of land throughout central Montana — much of which were once used for farming and grazing — since 2004 and continues to aggressively expand.
"Our mission is to assemble the largest complex of public and private lands devoted to wildlife in the lower 48," Pete Geddes, AP's vice president and chief external relations officer, told Fox News Digital in an interview. "For comparison, about 25% larger than Yellowstone."

Inflation Bait And Switch

The news media is saying that Joe Biden had a good week because off his legislative victory in reaching agreement for the Senate and the House to pass what the Democrats have labeled “The Inflation Reduction Act of 2022.” Don’t get your hopes up. This is a bait and switch legislation that does not, nor will it ever, live up to the false moniker it has been given. What it amounts to is spending $369 billion to stimulate the pet climate change, green energy agenda of the left, rewarding non-profits, state and local governments, and Indian tribal governments with government cash payments while increasing taxes on corporations and raising drug prices on Medicare to pay for it. Effect on Inflation? Zero. Zilch. Nada.
The Democrats claim the bill would reduce the deficit by some $300 billion, which would lower inflation. Think about this. At the time of this writing, the US federal deficit was nearly $1.6 TRILLION and the US national debt was $30.6 TRILLION. Applying intelligence and common sense, making a payment of $300 billion against a $31 Trillion debt is hardly going to reduce inflation of any kind, especially when raising taxes and Medicare drug prices to redistribute taxpayer funds to climate change cronies. This legislation only raises the misery index by cutting benefits to senior citizens and causing corporations to raise prices on goods and services to cover the tax increase. Meanwhile, the IRS will have its boot to every taxpayers’ throat. Oh, but this is the “Inflation Reduction Act of 2022.” Read More

Retired US Generals Issue Warning About New Pandemic Declaration

Two retired U.S. generals, MG Paul Vallely, U.S. Army, and Thomas McInerney, USAF, raised concerns over the World Health Organization’s recent declaration of monkeypox as a global health emergency, alleging potential ulterior motives.
“Each of us should not be alarmed by this alert as the credibility of WHO is in great question based on their actions and notices on COVID-19,” Vallely told The Epoch Times.
“The rare designation means the WHO now views the outbreak as a significant enough threat to global health that a coordinated international response is needed to prevent the virus from spreading further and potentially escalating into a pandemic,” Vallely said.
“Beware of this politically driven global organization that is funded by the global elite.”
Monkeypox is a disease primarily transmitted through the sexual activity of gay and bisexual men.
“I have decided that the global monkeypox outbreak represents a public health emergency of international concern,” WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said in a July 23 statement. (Epoch Times) Read more here.

The latter contract has a “potential award amount” of $322 million which would put the Biden administration’s spending well over half a billion dollars if meant for the academy.
The Greensboro News & Record reported last week the Department of Health and Human Services said in response to a query on what Deployed Resources would be doing for the high dollar contracts:
The News & Record sent an email to HHS asking exactly what services would be provided by Deployed Resources.
In its response, HHS said, “through a contractor, ORR anticipates that some 1,500 people will staff the facility, across two to three shifts, in a variety of roles including case managers, mental health clinicians, medical clinicians, administration, logistics, food service, and other areas.”
The News & Record also reported the American Hebrew Academy “also will be contracted to provide onsite education for the children” in addition to the $49.8 million lease.
More News & Record: “While in ORR care, children have access to medical treatment, legal services, translation services, education, and mental and behavioral health counselors and are able to connect with family at least twice a week,” HHS said. “Children also meet with a case manager at least weekly.” (The Gateway Pundit) Read more.

The final supermoon of 2022 will rise just as the dog days of summer come to a close, but it could have a negative effect on a separate hotly anticipated astronomical event.
The conclusion of the dog days of summer will kick off a flurry of astronomical events in the night sky, including two highly-anticipated events unfolding at the same time.
The dog days of summer are more than just a nickname for what is typically the hottest part of the year in the Northern Hemisphere -- it has roots in astronomy.
Between July 3 and Aug. 11, the bright star Sirius, also called the Dog Star, is in the same region of the sky as the sun. In ancient times, it was believed that the added starlight from Sirius added to the heat of the day, according to the Old Farmer's Almanac. While this ancient theory has been debunked, the phrase has stuck around in the vernacular of forecasters over the years.

Justice Alito Delivers Fearless Speech for Religious Liberty, First Since Roe v. Wade Overturned

Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito spoke out for the first time since Roe v. Wade was overturned in a fearless oration and inspired speech that carries an eternal echo. At the Notre Dame Religious Liberty Summit in Rome, Alito emboldened the room to take a stand and fight for the religious liberty that is trying to be nefariously torn down. The heaven-breathed speech was to awaken the hearts of men that religious liberty is facing a new challenge, a challenge of people turning away from the faith at a rapid pace and a society that now believes religion is no longer important. "It's hard to convince people that religion is worth defending if they don't think it's that important," Alito says. In what many scholars are calling a post-Christian society in America, Alito voiced the importance of people of faith knowing why and how to defend liberty.
For many Christians it can be easy to say that they believe their faith should be defended, that is their right under the Constitution, but why? Are followers of Jesus Christ able to stand up to the society around them that is steadfast in diminishing religion and explain to them why that should never happen? Alito believes a crucial aspect of that defense is done through looking back at America's history. Before the government was caring for those who couldn't care for themselves, believers were. Ursuline nuns founded the first orphanage in America in 1729. If the freedom of religious speech starts to be diminished then there is no barring that the same can't be done for other kinds of speech, "Religious liberty promotes domestic tranquility—people hold together and they flourish," Alito says.
In another look back in time, some of the most influential people in social reform were Christians. The people bold enough to fight for the abolishment of slavery were followers of Jesus Christ. Martin Luther King Jr., who played a pivotal role in the civil rights movement, was a devout Christian man. His arrest, imprisonment and fearless oratory inspired by heaven impacted real change nationwide. Those with true, pure faith are the kind of people who will stand up for the equal treatment of all people. "People with deep religious convictions will be able to act in accordance to what they see as true and right, as engines of reform," and that's one reason why Alito believes we must fight for religious liberty. No matter how hard governments have tried to tread on the faith of passionate followers of Jesus, the continuation of the gospel going forth with power and authority will always remain.
