Did you know?
This week America will observe the National Day of Prayer (NDP) - honored on Thursday, May 1st.
The NDP was birthed in on May 5, 1988, when President Ronald Reagan signed into law Public Law 100-307 the designation of the first Thursday in May as the annual observance for the National Day of Prayer.
Here are the exact words of that bill:
"The President shall set aside and proclaim the First Thursday in May in each year, as a National Day of Prayer, on which the people of the United States may turn to God in prayer and meditation at churches, in groups, and as individuals."
From the first year of this event, when a handful of citizens joined in the Russell Senate Office Building to observe this day, there are now over 110 million citizens that honor the National Day of Prayer!
Today we also salute Kathy Branzell, this year's President of the NDP Task Force, as well as her faithful team on her staff and the other National Area Leaders who provide leadership in all 50 states and territories to bring all of us many opportunities to observe the National Day of Prayer.

Jerusalem Prayer Breakfast Builds International Support for Israel
|
|
|
CBN News interviewed Albert Veksler, global director and co-founder of the Jerusalem Prayer Breakfast (JPB), a global initiative fostering international support for Israel. Established in 2017 with former Israeli Knesset Member Robert Ilatov, the JPB unites political, religious, and civic leaders from around the world to pray for the peace of Jerusalem, inspired by Psalm 122:6. “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: ‘May those who love you be secure.’” Under Veksler’s leadership, the JPB has expanded globally, hosting events in Jerusalem, New York, Oslo, Mar-a-Lago, and more. Trump tells Putin 'STOP' after deadly Russian strikes on Kyiv
|
|
President Donald Trump demanded that Russian President Vladimir Putin halt strikes on Kyiv, Ukraine, as Washington continues its efforts to broker a peace deal.
"I am not happy with the Russian strikes on KYIV. Not necessary, and very bad timing. Vladimir, STOP! 5,000 soldiers a week are dying. Let’s get the peace deal DONE," Trump wrote on Truth Social.
The Thursday attack on Ukraine killed at least 10 and injured at least 90, including children, Ukraine said.
Trump expressed hope on Easter that Russia and Ukraine could reach a deal this week, saying that once an agreement is reached, they would be able to "start to do big business with the United States of America…"
On April 11, in another Truth Social post, Trump urged Russia "to get moving" toward ending the war, lamenting that "too many people are dying" in a war that he described as "senseless." Read more

WEF confirms probe into claims against founder Schwab
|
|
The World Economic Forum confirmed today that it has launched an investigation into allegations made against its founder Klaus Schwab that reportedly prompted his resignation this week.
In a statement confirming a report by the Wall Street Journal, the WEF said its board of trustees "unanimously supported the Audit and Risk Committee's decision to initiate an independent investigation following a whistleblower letter containing allegations against former Chairman Klaus Schwab".
Schwab denies the claims, the paper added.
The WEF, which hosts the annual meeting of wealthy, famous and influential global elites at the luxury Swiss ski resort town Davos, initially provided no explanation its longtime chairman's sudden resignation Monday "with immediate effect". Read more

Trump and Zelensky Have "Very Productive Talk" As They Attend Pope Francis Funeral
|
|
President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met face-to-face for the first time since their infamous Oval Office spat in February. They were attending Pope Francis’ funeral in Rome, though it is unclear exactly when they met.
Neither Ukrainian nor White House officials gave many details on the meeting; however, White House Communications Director Steven Cheung said the leaders had "a very productive discussion."
Zelenskyy later tweeted that the meeting was "very symbolic" and could potentially be "historic."
In February, Zelenskyy abruptly left the White House after getting into an argument with Trump and Vice President JD Vance. Zelenskyy later told Fox News chief political anchor Bret Baier on "Special Report" that the incident was "bad for both sides."
This meeting comes as peace talks between Russia and Ukraine appear to be at a standstill with Zelenskyy and Russian President Vladimir Putin making competing demands.
"A good day in talks and meetings with Russia and Ukraine. They are very close to a deal, and the two sides should now meet, at very high levels, to ‘finish it off.’ Most of the major points are agreed to. Stop the bloodshed, NOW. We will be wherever is necessary to help facilitate the END to this cruel and senseless war," Trump wrote on Truth Social after arriving in Rome on Saturday. Read more

1. Watch: PM Netanyahu reveals story behind Nasrallah assassination - Israel National News
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told the JNS International Policy Summit on Sunday the story of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah's assassination, and stressed that Israel will only agree to a nuclear deal that ensures Iran will not possess nuclear weapons.
Noting that Israel is fighting a seven-front war "which is really only one front - Iran and its proxies," Netanyahu stressed that there is still much to be done.
"We have to finish the war in Gaza, get our hostages back and destroy Hamas," he said. "Hamas will not be there and we’re not going to put the PA (Palestinian Authority - ed.) there. Why replace one regime that is sworn to our destruction with another regime that is sworn to our destruction?"
But after the war, he added, Israel will control Gaza militarily.

2. ‘Folly’ to think Palestinian state will produce peace, Netanyahu tells JNS - JNS
The notion that a Palestinian state will produce peace is “folly, nothing more than folly,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told the JNS International Policy Summit in Jerusalem on Sunday evening.
“I’m saying this for the ambassadors who are here—all of you know this,” he said. “We just tried a Palestinian state in Gaza,” he continued. “You saw what that brought, right?”
The Jewish state had been “attacked savagely, horribly” on Oct. 7, 2023, said Netanyahu. When German Chancellor Olaf Schultz, who visited Israel early in the war, “saw the film of the horrors and visited the sites, he said there: they’re exactly like the Nazis,” the Israeli premier recalled. 3. Egypt Demands Hamas Clarify Status of Hostages in Gaza - Algemeiner
i24 News – Egypt has demanded from Hamas information about the status of the hostages still held in the Gaza Strip, according to the Saudi channel Al-Hadath on Sunday.
“Hamas has informed the mediators that it is necessary to end the escalation to ensure the safety of the hostages,” the report said. Meanwhile, Israel has rejected any temporary ceasefire and demands resolving the issue of Hamas disarming.
Egyptian sources revealed to the London-based Qatari newspaper Al-Araby Al-Jadid that Hamas’s proposal offers a release of all living hostages and the bodies of the slain, the announcement of a complete halt of hostilities, and a total withdrawal of Israeli forces from the Palestinian enclave.
The plan would come with “clear and precise guarantees” from the US government, Egyptian and Qatari mediators, as well as Turkey. It includes a five-year calm period during which all restrictions concerning the reconstruction of Gaza would be lifted. A significant element of this proposal concerns the “use of resistance weapons.” According to Egyptian sources, Hamas would accept supervision and guarantees ensuring that Gaza’s armed organizations “will not use their weapons and will not rebuild their military infrastructure near the Israeli border, including offensive tunnels,” as long as Israel respects the terms of the agreement. 4. Hamas official says group open to freeing all hostages for five-year truce in Gaza - Times of Israel
Hamas is open to an agreement to end the Gaza war that would include the one-time release of all remaining hostages and a five-year cessation of hostilities, an official from the terror group said Saturday.
“Hamas is ready for an exchange of prisoners in a single batch and a truce for five years,” the official told AFP on condition of anonymity, as a delegation from his group was set to meet mediators in Cairo later in the day.
On April 17, Hamas, which opposes a “partial” ceasefire agreement, rejected an Israeli proposal that included a 45-day truce in exchange for the return of 10 living hostages. (Read more)

The Israeli Air Force struck a Hezbollah precision missile storage facility on Sunday in Beirut's Dahieh suburb, considered the terror organization's main stronghold after the war.
The IDF stated that the "storage of missiles in this infrastructure site constitutes a blatant violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon and poses a threat to the State of Israel and its civilians.

1. FBI arrests Wisconsin judge, alleging she obstructed arrest of illegal alien- Fox
The FBI arrested a Wisconsin judge Friday morning for allegedly hiding a previously deported illegal immigrant in her jury room in order to stop him from being arrested by ICE, Fox News has learned.
Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge Hannah Dugan was arrested and charged with obstruction of an official proceeding after evidence came to light that she had shielded the migrant from ICE agents, according to a criminal complaint. She was also charged with concealing an individual to prevent discovery and arrest.
Federal agents from ICE, FBI, CBP and DEA attempted to arrest the undocumented male – Mexican national Eduardo Flores-Ruiz -- following his scheduled criminal court appearance before Dugan on April 18 to face three misdemeanor battery charges.
Dugan demanded that the officers proceed to the chief judge’s office and – after his hearing ended - escorted Flores-Ruiz and his attorney out a restricted jury door, bypassing the public area where agents were waiting in order to help him avoid arrest, per the complaint. Read more

2. Clinton-Appointed Judge Blocks Trump Admin Effort Requiring Proof Of Citizenship To Vote - Daily Wire
A judge appointed by former President Bill Clinton blocked President Donald Trump’s efforts to require proof of citizenship to vote in U.S. elections.
U.S. District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly wrote in a 120-page decision that the administration’s efforts are an attempt to “short-circuit Congress’s deliberative process by executive order.” She said that Trump’s alleged effort to “regulate federal elections” exceeds his own authority.
“Our Constitution entrusts Congress and the States—not the President—with the authority to regulate federal elections,” she wrote. “No statutory delegation of authority to the Executive Branch permits the President to short-circuit Congress’s deliberative process by executive order.”
Kollar-Kotelly also ordered that election officials “assess” the citizenship of anyone who receives assistance before allowing them to register. The judge said Congress is the appropriate branch of government to make reforms to the federal election process. Read more

3. Former Biden Aide: We Tried to Oust Netanyahu After October 7, Through Elections or ‘God Knows What’- Breitbart
Ilan Goldenberg, a former aide to President Joe Biden, told Israel’s Channel 13 that the Biden administration tried to oust Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after the October 7, 2023, terror attack by Hamas.
Channel 13 interviewed Goldenberg, noting that while Biden administration officials had been reluctant to speak in the early days of the Trump administration for fear of retribution, they are now telling their story.
Goldenberg, who led the Biden administration’s efforts to sanction right-wing Israelis, and who later was the Jewish outreach director for Vice President Kamala Harris’s presidential campaign, told Channel 13 that the Biden White House had hoped to use Biden’s temporary popularity in Israel, and Netanyahu’s post-October 7 unpopularity, to force political change in Israel, especially after Hamas broke an early hostage release deal.
Goldenberg suggested that the Biden administration was even willing to consider non-democratic means of removing Netanyahu (emphasis added):
“There were a lot of people who were talking about, including in the Oval Office, at times, the idea of, like, the president going out and giving a speech. … [Opposition leader] Benny Gantz was at 37 [seats] and Bibi was at like 15 [in polls], right? Like, he was very weak. Joe Biden was still incredibly popular in Israel
You can end the war, get all the hostages out, get a, get a deal that includes even, you know, maybe even trying to have elements of Hamas to leave — or you keep doing what you’re doing, and Israel’s in a forever war, you know, your sons and daughters are going to keep fighting, most of the hostages are going to come home dead. … The idea would be to either force Netanyahu to come on board with that, or scramble Israeli politics, and see if you can trigger elections, or God knows what. That’s what people were saying — like, let’s just break this up ’cause it’s not going anywhere good.” Read more

4. Trump orders Justice Department to investigate Democrats’ top fundraising platform – Breitbart
President Donald Trump has ordered the Justice Department to investigate the Democratic Party’s top fundraising platform, the latest example of Trump using the tools of the government to go after his political opponents.
Trump, in an executive order signed Thursday, directed Attorney General Pam Bondi to investigate allegations that Republicans have raised that ActBlue allows illegal campaign donations.
Democrats, who had anticipated they would be targeted, condemned the move Thursday and ActBlue called it an “oppressive use of power” by the White House.
“The Trump Administration’s and GOP’s targeting of ActBlue is part of their brazen attack on democracy in America. Today’s escalation by the White House is blatantly unlawful and needs to be seen for what it is: Donald Trump’s latest front in his campaign to stamp out all political, electoral and ideological opposition,” ActBlue said in a statement.
ActBlue said it would pursue “all legal avenues to protect and defend itself.”
“ActBlue will continue its mission and work undeterred and uninterrupted, providing a safe, secure fundraising platform for the millions of grassroots donors who rely on us.”
Trump’s order directs Bondi, in consultation with the Treasury Department, to investigate allegations that online fundraising platforms, and specifically ActBlue, have been used by some to “make ‘straw’ or ‘dummy’ contributions or foreign contributions to political candidates and committees.” Read more

5. Team Trump Arrives In Russia As Ukraine Hit By More Strikes, Top Russian General Assassinated – Daily Wire
President Donald Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff arrived in Russia Friday morning to push for peace as Ukraine was hit with another series of deadly airstrikes overnight and a top Russian general was assassinated in a car bombing near Moscow.
Witkoff’s arrival comes after Trump said on Thursday that he was “not happy” with Russian strikes against Ukraine and urged President Vladimir Putin to stop the attacks. After those comments, Ukraine was hit with another wave of drone attacks, and Russian Lt. Gen. Yaroslav Moskalik, a high-level military official, was killed in a car bombing in Balashikha.
Witkoff arrived in Moscow on Friday morning, where he met with Putin and other Russian officials. His trip comes one day after the Trump administration urged both sides to accept the terms the United States had proposed to end the war.
“This war is endable. Both sides just have to agree to it. We’ve shown them a pathway forward. We’ve discussed those ideas,” Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Thursday. “It was a good meeting yesterday. There will be good meetings over the weekend. We’ve shown them the finish line. 6. Judge Strikes Down Illinois Law Requiring Pro-Life Doctors To Promote Abortion – The Federalist
“I didn’t know, I didn’t know,” sobbed a mother, crying in anguish as she rocked back and forth, as only one who has carried the burden of regret for 20 years can.
A nurse at a prolife pregnancy center was conducting an ultrasound for that mother’s 18-year-old daughter, who was pregnant. The mother and her pregnant daughter told the nurse that they had already decided on an abortion, but came in for an ultrasound, just to know how far along she was.
Seeing the flickering black-and-white image, the pregnant daughter’s mother broke down. The small figure on the screen was nine weeks old — the same age as the child she had aborted 20 years earlier. Back then, she had believed it was just a clump of tissue. Now, witnessing for the first time what an unborn child at that gestational age looked like, she saw on that ultrasound a baby — her grandchild — and the weight of that realization crashed down on her.
The nurse paused the scan to console the daughter’s mother and tell her about the resources that her center offers for post-abortive parents. “The mother, at the end of that visit, she went up to her daughter and told her that she would help her, that they were going to keep the baby,” the nurse, Pasha Bohlen of Pregnancy Aid South Suburbs, testified during trial in Schroeder v. Treto, Jr.
That moment reaffirmed Bohlen’s belief, one that is shared by hundreds of pro-life doctors and pregnancy resource centers across Illinois, that abortion offers no medical benefits — only harm. Yet, for the better part of the last decade, the state of Illinois has battled in court to force pro-life doctors and pregnancy centers, like Bohlen’s, to share so-called “benefits of abortion” with the pregnant mothers in her care. 7. China is 'caving' to Trump's trade war strategy, expert signals – Fox Business
Early signs are emerging that China is now "caving" to the U.S. and President Donald Trump on tariffs, according to one foreign policy expert.
Gatestone Institute senior fellow Gordon Chang agreed there’s "a win for Trump" after the president revealed he’s spoken to China about trade tensions and the recent exemption of some U.S. goods from its 125% tariff.
"China is doing this, but it's not announcing it. It's just not imposing the tariffs on aviation products, industrial chemicals, and semiconductors. It's sort of like the Chinese way of doing it," Chang said on "Varney & Co." Friday.
"It's basically, they're caving, but they don't want to say they're caving." Read more

MOSCOW/LONDON/ROME, April 25 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump's envoy Steve Witkoff met Russian President Vladimir Putin for three hours in Moscow on Friday to discuss the U.S. plan to end the war in Ukraine, and Trump said the two sides were "very close to a deal," despite apparent differences in their positions. Trump said in a social media post after Witkoff's meeting concluded that it was a good day of talks and called for a high-level meeting between Kyiv and Moscow to close a deal.
"Most of the major points are agreed to," Trump said in the post after landing in Rome for the funeral of Pope Francis on Saturday. "Stop the bloodshed, NOW."
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy was also expected to attend the funeral, although he said on Friday he was not certain he could make it.
Russia and Ukraine have not held direct talks since the early weeks of the war, which started with Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
Kremlin foreign policy aide Yuri Ushakov, who took part in Friday's meeting and brief reporters on the details, earlier described it as constructive and very useful. (Reuters)

We come before your throne of grace and mercy to ask for this war between Ukraine and Russia to come to an end. Your Word says that you change times and seasons and remove Kings and set up Kings.
It is our prayer that if pride is involved in any way in this war that has killed so many, we ask you to remove whoever is guilty to bring this bloodshed to an end! God, allow the Trump administration to have supernatural wisdom and discernment as they negotiate between hostile nations to bring the wickedness of the wicked to an end. Have mercy and compassion over all your people that are affected by this cruel war. You alone, Father, know the truth in all of this and we leave it at the cross as we lean into your understanding. In Jesus' name, Amen.

The winds of God are moving across the earth so fast, we must stay in the flow of the Holy Spirit to understand the times. I, for one, do not want to miss God and all the wonders of God now happening for all to witness who have spiritual ears to hear and spiritual eyes to see. I want to be like the “sons of Issachar who had understanding of the times to know what Israel ought to do” (1 Ch. 12:32). I want to know how to pray in agreement with the LORD and His Kingdom purposes.
This week, the funeral of Pope Frances and the Conclave to follow are all in God’s divine order and a set time. Amanda Grace states, “the new Pope will be a sign of the times. Be watching! Just as Pope Francis was a sign of the time. His appointment suddenly encompassed everything Obama stood for. It was a time of corruption and abomination.” It was so during both the Obama and Biden administrations as well as the atrocities of lawfare, impeachment and abuse during the first Trump term.
Amanda Grace gave a prophecy 2/13/2025: “Smoke from the Vatican, Revival in Italy is rumbling. Rumblings in Greece. Leadership is about to change suddenly. During Passover serious resignations. Serious announcements from the Vatican as well. (Pope’s death announced on Passover and Schwab, W.E.F. resigned – (simultaneously)… A very old wound about to be reopened in the Catholic church; In the Episcopal church, a wound that is about to be uncovered and is grave in nature that goes back over 30 years. That wound shall be exposed. Side of the church to be pierced and opened, including the Vatican. 4/21/2025: “Pope Francis died Schwab steps down – church very serious changing of the guard, including leadership in Europe. A very serious prophetic sign, an arrow of what we are about to enter from Passover to Pentecost.”

Eye on Infinity: NASA Celebrates Hubble’s
35th Year in Orbit

In celebration of the Hubble Space Telescope’s 35 years in Earth orbit, NASA is releasing an assortment of compelling images recently taken by Hubble, stretching from the planet Mars to star-forming regions, and a neighboring galaxy.
After more than three decades of perusing the universe, Hubble remains a household name — the most well-recognized and scientifically productive telescope in history. The Hubble mission is a glowing success story of America’s technological prowess, unyielding scientific curiosity, and a reiteration of our nation’s pioneering spirit.
“Hubble opened a new window to the universe when it launched 35 years ago. Its stunning imagery inspired people across the globe, and the data behind those images revealed surprises about everything from early galaxies to planets in our own solar system,” said Shawn Domagal-Goldman, acting director of the Astrophysics Division at NASA Headquarters in Washington. “The fact that it is still operating today is a testament to the value of our flagship observatories, and provides critical lessons for the Habitable Worlds Observatory, which we plan to be serviceable in the spirit of Hubble.”
