FBI director has been sounding alarm on ‘heightened threat environment’: Is America listening?
|
|
FBI Director Christopher Wray has warned lawmakers that the threat of terrorism has risen to a whole other level since Oct. 7
|
|
Whether it’s terrorism, China, or an insecure border, the U.S. faces a litany of threats both internally and internationally, according to the FBI.
FBI Director Christopher Wray has repeatedly warned of a "heightened threat environment," and has pleaded with lawmakers to take each one seriously.
Connecting all of these disparate threats is the FBI’s ability to adequately address them. At a House Appropriations Subcommittee earlier this month, Wray said the FBI’s fiscal year 2024 budget was around $500 million below what the bureau needed to sustain its 2023 efforts.
Wray said the budget shortfall "could not have come at a worse time" given that the U.S., according to the bureau, is in a "heightened threat environment."
"As I look back over my career in law enforcement, I would be hard-pressed to think of a time where so many threats to public safety and national security were so elevated all at once, but that is the case as I sit here today," Wray told House lawmakers.
His comments came days before the House passed a $95 billion aid package in military aid for Ukraine and Israel.
"After Oct. 7 is when we went to a whole other level."

- Abba, the US is in desperate need of your help! Our country is under attack internally and externally and we cry out for Your revelation and vision to stand in the gap in prayer for our nation! We ask You to dispatch Your warrior angels to hedge in and protect our land, our homes, families, jobs and all things precious to each of us, in Jesus' name. We ask you, Father God, to move in strength to defeat all satanic powers working to change our form of government from a Democratic Republic to Socialism or Communism, in Jesus' name. We decree and declare that any form of weapon forged against our nation and your people will not prosper, in Jesus' name. We ask this in the name Jehovah Sabaoth, The Host of Heaven's Armies.
- "Arise, Lord, in your anger; rise
up against the rage of my enemies.
Awake, my God; decree justice."

Anti-Israel mob stages 'seder on the street’ near Schumer’s home in NYC
|
|
Anti-Israel agitators staged a "sedar on the street" protest in front of the Brooklyn home of Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer in protest of American support for Israel.
The protests came after the Senate passed a $95 billion emergency foreign aid package to Israel, Gaza and Ukraine.
Organized by pro-Palestinian groups, the protest was described as a "seder on the street" for the second night of the week-long Jewish Passover.
Photos from the protest showed large groups of demonstrators gathering in front of Schumer's Brooklyn, New York home. (Fox News) Read more

- Abba, our hearts are breaking for all the young people in our nation who have been deceived and are following after satanic intentions for our country and Israel. We ask You, Jesus, to encounter each of these people in the time, place and way that they will be able to hear Your call to them. We ask for changed minds and hearts, we cry out for healed emotions and souls. We ask You to do what only You can do...make them whole again. We ask this in the name Jehovah Rapha, The Lord our Healer.
- "...You live in the midst of deception, in
their deceit they refuse to
to acknowledge me," declares the Lord.

Supreme Court Takes New Step in Jan. 6 Case
|
|
The U.S. Supreme Court on April 23 directed the U.S. Department of Justice to reply to a man convicted in the Jan. 6, 2021, breach of the U.S. Capitol.
Justices said the department’s response to Russell Alford is due May 23.
Mr. Alford was convicted by a jury of four misdemeanor counts but is challenging two of the charges, arguing that they don’t apply to his conduct.
The charges should not have been brought because the laws on which they’re based bar disorderly and disruptive conduct in a Capitol building and in a restricted building, but Mr. Alford merely entered the Capitol and stood silently against a wall before exiting, the Supreme Court was told in a filing from Mr. Alford’s lawyers.
U.S. District Judge Tonya Chutkan, an appointee of President Barack Obama, originally rejected Mr. Alford’s request to dismiss the counts, finding that his “mere presence inside the Capitol disturbed the public peace or undermined public safety.” (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

- Abba, there is so much confusion and deception around what actually happened at the Capitol on January 6th, it's very hard to know what to believe. Father God, we ask for Your Justice in this case against Mr. Alford and in all J6 cases. We ask that all things spoken to deceive be exposed and for the truth to replace those statements. We ask Holy Spirit to move in might and power on the hearts of those in deception to shift demonic belief systems into a place to receive truth as it is revealed. We decree and declare that now is the time for the demonic stronghold of deception over the J6 case to be pulled down, in Jesus' name. We stand against all lies and liars in this case, we say "you are silenced" in the name of Jesus! We ask this in the name El Shaddai, God Almighty, the God who has ultimate power over all things.
- " ... for the power of the wicked will be broken,
but the Lord upholds the righteous."

Breaking news: Supreme Court appears divided on emergency abortion access
|
|
The case, which could reverberate beyond Idaho to over a dozen other states with abortion bans, is the second time in less than a month that the justices have heard an abortion case.
|
|
The abortion case before the Supreme Court on Wednesday featured vigorous questioning and comments, particularly by the three liberal justices. At issue is whether Idaho’s near-total ban on abortion is so strict that it violates a federal law requiring emergency care for any patient, including providing abortions for pregnant women in dire situations.
A ruling could reverberate beyond Idaho, to at least half a dozen other states that have similarly restrictive bans.
Chants of “Abortion is murder” and “Abortion is health care” rang through the air as protesters on both sides of the abortion debate dueled outside the Supreme Court on Wednesday morning.
More than a hundred people fanned out in front of the court as arguments began in a case that will determine the availability of abortions in emergency rooms in some 14 states with near-total abortion bans. Many favored a right to the procedure; markedly few were against it. (New York Times) Read more here.

- Abba, the sanctity of life is precious in your mighty sovereign hand. We come together in prayer for our Supreme Court judges to yield to You for wisdom and guidance as they make this important decision. We also pray for the states to enact laws that continue to protect the life of the unborn. By Your almighty power we ask for SCOTUS to make the right decision. Lord, Your will be done.
- For You formed my inward parts; You [a]covered me in my mother’s womb.

1. IDF hits 40 Hezbollah sites; Gallant says group’s south Lebanon command decimated - Times of Israel
Defense Minister Yoav Gallant on Wednesday claimed that the military had killed half of Hezbollah’s commanders in southern Lebanon, as the Israel Defense Forces carried out a large wave of strikes against dozens of sites belonging to the terror group.
“Half of the Hezbollah commanders in south Lebanon have been eliminated… and the other half hide and abandon south Lebanon to IDF operations,” Gallant said, after holding an assessment at the Northern Command headquarters in Safed with the chief of the command, Maj. Gen. Ori Gordin, and other top officers.
He said Israel’s main goal in the north was to return tens of thousands of Israelis displaced by Hezbollah’s daily attacks to their homes. (Read more)

Israeli Air Force fighter jets destroyed two Hamas rocket launchers embedded in a humanitarian zone in southern Gaza, the army said Wednesday, as the war started by the terrorist group entered its 200th day.
The Israel Defense Forces said the launch pads were loaded with rockets and were struck before they could be used to attack the Jewish state.
The strike in the heart of a humanitarian zone was carried out following efforts to prevent harm to civilians, the military added. (Read more)

3. Netanyahu: ‘Antisemitic Mobs Have Taken Over Leading U.S. Universities’ - Algemeiner
i24 News – Antisemitic mobs have taken over leading U.S. universities, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu charged on Wednesday, responding to the shocking scenes on Columbia and other campuses.
“What’s happening in America’s college campuses is horrific. Antisemitic mobs have taken over leading universities. They call for the annihilation of Israel. They attack Jewish students. They attack Jewish faculty,” the leader said in a recorded statement.
“This is reminiscent of what happened in German universities in the 1930s. It’s unconscionable. It has to be stopped. It has to be condemned and condemned unequivocally. But that’s not what happened. The response of several university presidents was shameful.”
“We see this exponential rise of antisemitism throughout America and throughout Western societies as Israel tries to defend itself against genocidal terrorists, genocidal terrorists who hide behind civilians. Yet it is Israel that is falsely accused of genocide, Israel that is falsely accused of starvation and all sundry war crimes. It’s all one big libel. But that’s not new. We’ve seen in history that antisemitic attacks were always preceded by vilification and slander, lies that were cast against the Jewish people that are unbelievable yet people believed them.” (Read more)

4. Netanyahu's incoming military secretary: Israel should control Gaza Strip after the war - Israel National News
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's incoming military secretary, Brig. Gen. Roman Gofman recently wrote a document in which he suggested that Israel continue controlling the Gaza Strip and its civilian population after the war, Israel Hayom reported.
According to the report, the document was distributed to all decision-makers in the political echelon and the defense establishment. It was met with a mixture of surprise and anger since Gofman's proposal negates the official stance of the Israeli government and the IDF as was presented to many since October 7th.
The report also stated that the defense establishment assumed at the beginning that Gofman wrote the document in coordination with the Prime Minister's Office or by its request - but he denied this and claimed that he wrote the proposal based on his own opinion.
Gofman is considered to be an officer who is never afraid to say what he thinks. When Gadi Eizenkot was Chief of Staff, he attacked the military brass who, in his opinion, was not aggressive enough and demanded that ground forces act more in battle. (Read more)

5. Hamas official: We’re holding 30 IDF soldiers hostage - World Israel News
A senior Hamas official said that the terror group is holding some 30 Israeli soldiers hostage in the Gaza Strip, as Qatari-brokered ceasefire negotiations have stalled.
The official, who was not named in the New Arab report, said that Hamas had “captured” 30 soldiers on October 7th.
Notably, the official did not comment regarding whether the soldiers were captured alive or dead, nor did he state whether any are still alive or deceased.
The soldiers are “being held in high-security locations, and are very far from the hand of the occupation [Israel],” the official told the New Arab. (Read more)

1. Censured Rashida Tlaib transforms into fundraising force amid Israel-Hamas war - Washington Examiner
Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) raked in $1.9 million in her first fundraising quarter of 2024, raising a total of $6.45 million this cycle following her criticism of Israel’s handling of the war against Hamas and her censure by the House last year.
Tlaib, the only Palestinian American serving in Congress, is the 12th highest fundraiser in the House, coming in right behind notoriously strong fundraiser and fellow Squad member, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and ahead of former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA). Until the Israel-Hamas war, Tlaib was not known for her fundraising prowess, unlike those in House leadership positions.
The congresswoman ended the first quarter with $5.2 million on hand and successfully managed to stave off any serious primary challenge for her Democratic 12th Congressional District. According to campaign finance records, the majority of her individual contributions this cycle are coming from donations in California, followed by Michigan and Texas. The highest contributions are coming in from a political action committee formed by Ocasio-Cortez to promote progressive candidates, Demand Justice PAC, an influential group focused on court reform, a variety of unions, and Arab American groups. 2. Iranians indicted for alleged malicious multi-year cyber campaign targeting US government and defense firms - Fox News
Four Iranian nationals were indicted Tuesday for allegedly being part of a multi-year "malicious cyber ops" campaign targeting the U.S. State and Treasury departments, defense contractors and two companies in New York.
The Department of Justice (DOJ) unsealed the indictment in a Manhattan federal court, charging Hossein Harooni, Reza Kazemifar, Komeil Baradaran Salmani, and Alireza Shafie Nasab with computer fraud, conspiracy to commit wire fraud, wire fraud and other charges.
Along with the unsealing of the indictment against the four conspirators, the U.S.
Department of State’s Rewards for Justice program (RFJ) announced it was offering up to $10 million for information leading to the identification or location of the group and the defendants, the DOJ said. The Treasury Department also announced sanctions against the four conspirators and other cyber actors. (Read more)

3. Michigan school district cancels proposed lesson on 'tree,' 'ze' pronouns after backlash - Fox News
A Michigan school district canceled a proposed optional lesson for first graders about novel gender pronouns, including "tree" and "ze," citing security concerns. "The goal of the voluntary mini-lesson was to help promote Dewitt Public Schools' vision of a safe, nurturing, and supportive learning environment where all learners can succeed," DeWitt Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Shanna Spickard wrote in a message on April 19 to the district's families and staff.
"Unfortunately, it has become a major disruption and distraction to that vision in which our staff, administrators, and students feel unsafe."
Schavey Road Elementary School in DeWitt, Michigan, had sent a letter on April 11 informing parents of the school’s plans through the optional lesson to "help students share and explore pronouns through discussion and literature to embrace differences and promote acceptance."
Following the announcement, Spickard said staff members had received inappropriate, angry and threatening phone calls, emails and social media messages, and the lesson was canceled for safety reasons. (Read more)

4. Biden considering amnesty for over 1 MILLION illegal immigrants who are married to U.S. citizens giving them 'parole in place' and work permits - The Daily Mail
Joe Biden is considering an executive order that would grant amnesty to the more than 1 million illegal immigrants who married U.S. citizens but were barred from receiving green cards.
The President is looking at taking further actions to address both the southern border crisis and illegal immigrants living in the U.S. ahead of the 2024 election as a large chunk of Americans rank the issue as their top priority.
Although immigrants, even those living in the U.S. illegally, are typically able to gain citizenship when they marry American citizens there are a number of reasons why they may have been given the benefit. Some main reasons they are denied citizenship in these cases are if the individual has repeatedly entered the country illegally or forged legal documentation in the past. (Read more)

5. UK Finally Passes Rwanda Migrant Removal Bill, But No Guarantee Illegal Migrants Will Actually Be Removed - Breitbart
In the wake of nearly two years of legal challenges and parliamentary wrangling, the UK government finally passed late Monday evening its chief illegal migrant deterrence bill, which will theoretically see illegal boat migrants removed from Britain to the East African nation of Rwanda, however, actually getting illegals on flights is still by no means a certainty.
Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said that he expects migrant removal flights to begin sometime in late June or early July after the House of Lords finally passed the Safety of Rwanda bill, the plan for which was initially introduced by Boris Johnson in 2022 — two Conservative governments ago for those keeping score — before the scheme was thrown into chaos by the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) stepping in at the last minute to block a removal flight to Kigali.
The new law will only apply to those migrants who entered the UK illegally from another safe country before claiming asylum, meaning that it will mostly apply to migrants who cross the English Channel in people smuggler-operated boats launched from the beaches of France, or those smuggled on ferries inside lorries. According to calculations from the BBC, this will currently apply to around 52,000 foreigners, most of whom have been put up in hotels across Britain at taxpayer expense. (Read more)

- Lord God we lift up the UK to you as well as all nations that law and order would be restored for the sake of all people including immigrants. We want to welcome those fleeing bad situations but we also need rules and regulations so everyone can enjoy a safe environment. And so we ask that all our leaders all over the world be given this wisdom to govern justly in Jesus name amen.
- “But all things must be done properly and in an orderly manner.”

6. Bipartisan lawmakers seek answers from Mayorkas after Russian cyberattacks on water systems in US - Fox News
Lawmakers from both sides of the aisle concerned about recent cyberattacks on water systems in drought-stricken areas of the western U.S. are seeking answers from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) on how hacks are going to be prevented in the future.
In a letter to DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, Reps. Ruben Gallego, D-Ariz., and Pat Fallon, R-Texas, called for a briefing and answers regarding the January cyberattack launched against the water system in Muleshoe, Texas.
The hack caused the small Texas town’s water system to overflow, and, within two hours, sent tens of thousands of gallons of water flowing out of the town’s water tower. The attack was one of three on small towns in the rural Texas Panhandle linked to a Russian hacktivist group.
According to Mike Cypert, the city manager of Hale Center, there were about 37,000 attempts in four days to log into the city’s firewall. Ultimately, the attempted hack failed as the city "unplugged" the system and operated it manually. But in Muleshoe, which has a population of about 5,000, hackers caused the system to overflow before it was shut down and taken over manually by city officials. (Read more)

7. Trump holds overall 6-point lead in battleground states - The Hill
Former President Trump holds a 6-point lead over President Biden in key battleground states that will likely determine the outcome of November’s election, according to a survey published Wednesday.
The Bloomberg News/Morning Consult poll found Trump garnered 49 percent support in the swing states, over Biden’s 43 percent. The former president held the lead in six of seven states — Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Nevada, North Carolina, Georgia and Arizona. Biden was ahead by 2 points in Michigan, the survey found.
In Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, the margins were also narrow. The poll showed the incumbent with a wider deficit in Nevada, North Carolina, Georgia and Arizona. Respondents expressed concerns over the economy, the top voting issue in the upcoming cycle. Only 18 percent said inflation is getting better, while more than half half — 55 percent — said it is getting worse, according to the poll. When looking at the employment rate, the outlook was only slightly better, with 23 percent of survey takers saying it is improving. (Read more)

8. Tennessee House passes bill allowing armed teachers, sending measure to the governor - The Tennessean
Tennessee House Republicans on Tuesday passed legislation to allow some trained teachers and school staff to carry handguns despite pleas from Democrats, students and gun-reform advocates to defeat the bill.
Dozens of protestors in the galleries began chanting "Blood on your hands" as soon as the legislation passed, prompting House Speaker Cameron Sexton, R-Crossville, to order state troopers to clear the galleries. Many protestors continued to chant and stomp down at lawmakers as the House floor fell into chaos over parliamentary issues. Four Republicans ultimately crossed the aisle to join Democrats in voting against the bill, with another three abstaining from the vote.
Still, the measure easily sailed through the House on a 68-28 vote and is all but guaranteed to become law within weeks, as Gov. Bill Lee can either sign it into law or allow it to become law without his signature. Lee has never vetoed a bill. Armed teachers, who will be required to undergo training that some opponents have argued is not intensive enough, will be allowed to carry handguns in their classrooms and in most campus situations without informing parents and most of their colleagues they're armed.

- Lord God we ask for your wisdom to help Tennessee, the governor there and all the teachers and the faculty there to handle this responsibility with the upmost care and concern. We thank you, Lord, that new ideas like having trained teachers carry are being talked about and enforced to add more safety and security in our schools to protect our children. We continue to cover our schools and our children in the blood of Jesus, that no weapon fashioned against them shall prosper in your name Jesus amen.

Stupidocrisy: Biden Implements WHO Treaty
The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, April 24, 2024
Many good citizens are fighting the fight against the World Health Organization (WHO) treaty which would empower WHO to dictate worldwide responses to pandemics. They are standing against the so-called “intellects” who didn’t learn from the COVID pandemic that their very actions most likely caused the deaths of millions of people worldwide—forbidding treatments that were effective; mandating treatments that resulted in death; lying about effectiveness and safety of experimental vaccines; tracking people that declined vaccines; censoring dissent; controlling travel; quarantining the healthy—But Joe Biden has already implemented the WHO treaty in his recently announced Global Health Strategy.
His strategy, announced April 16, codifies a disastrous US health policy that paid bounties to hospitals for COVID deaths and experimental mRNA vaccines. In the wake of the government-mandated response, countless studies are showing that the global forced-vaccination under fear-mongering is leading to a huge spike in cancer deaths of the vaccinated; heart disease; even early or untimely deaths of young people. It’s a true crime committed by governments against the governed. Yet nobody is held accountable. Common sense, folks. Discernment, people. We cannot afford to have a coordinated global government-mandated response to another pandemic. It goes against self-preservation. Yet these arrogant tyrants are continuing to project their brand of science (political science) onto the global society. Read More

Acropolis apocalypse: Skies turn orange, red over Greece, Libya
|
|
The sky turned hues of red and orange in Libya and Greece Tuesday evening as a massive dust storm dimmed the sun.
A potent weather system in Europe pulled Saharan dust up from the desert into Libya and Greece late Tuesday, turning skies red and orange. Famous spots in Athens, like the Acropolis, were shrouded in orange and red hues. A local weather researcher said it was the worst dust storm in the area since 2018.
In Benghazi and Derna, cities in northern Libya, Africa, on the Mediterranean Sea, videos showed scenes of apocalyptic orange and red skies, buildings and trees. The dust storm was accompanied by winds as high as 45 mph (70 km/h) according to The Libya Observer. On satellite, dust could be seen over a wide part of Libya's northern coast, stretching southward into the desert and northward over the Mediterranean Sea.
AccuWeather's Air Quality readings for Derna, Libya, were still in the unhealthy range at 9 p.m. Tuesday local time -- 128 AQI -- a number at which healthy individuals may experience difficulty breathing and throat irritation with prolonged exposure. That number was forecast to fall slowly to 75 AQI by Wednesday evening.
Air quality was also reaching unhealthy levels in parts of Greece due to dust blowing northward over the Mediterranean Sea. Read More

Nearly 2,000 Minnesota Students, 15 Teachers
Walk Out of LGBTQ 'Indoctrination' Lesson
|
|
Nearly 2,000 Minnesota high school students opted out of an "LGBTQIA+ History and Culture" lesson earlier this month, according to a local parent's rights group. The opt-outs came after Liberty Counsel, a non-profit legal group, sent a demand letter to Osseo Area Schools District 279, in March requesting that both teachers and students "whose sincerely-held religious beliefs conflict with the lesson be permitted to opt out of it. Teachers have expressed to Liberty Counsel that this one-sided LGBT political indoctrination violates parental rights and the teachers' sincerely-held religious beliefs; that they object to teaching it; and that they fear retaliation if they seek to exercise their rights under Title VII to the Civil Rights Act of 1964 for a religious accommodation," the letter stated. The school district responded by communicating to students and teachers they were free to exercise their legal rights to opt out of participating.
According to 279 Parents United, a local parents' group in Minnesota's Osseo Area School District 279, an estimated 1,800 students and at least 15 teachers opted out of the lesson. The school had to use a cafeteria and auditorium to accommodate the large number of students opting out, according to the group. The school district also confirmed that 394 students officially opted out at Maple Grove Senior High School by filling out a form. "Hopefully, the school district learned a lesson to stop trying to force its agenda on students, parents, and teachers. Nearly 2,000 students and 15 teachers exercised the right to opt out of the 'LGBTQIA+' indoctrination. Public schools must respect the rights of students, parents, and teachers," said Liberty Counsel Founder and Chairman Mat Staver. (Read more)
- Father we ask for blessings over 'Liberty Counsel' for protecting Christian's religious rights that have been disregarded across school districts! We lift praise for all courageous students and teachers who stand against indoctrination within the educational system. We repent for the actions of the schools who have allowed the LGBTQIA+ agenda, which has endangered the minds of youth across America. In the Name of Jesus, we rebuke the enemy's plan causing a spirit of confusion over our young adults! We declare God's perfection through His creation and a re-alignment over the hearts and future of the next generations! In the powerful name of Yeshua-Amen.

Just remember, in His Word,
How He feeds the little bird;
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.
Refrain
Leave it there, leave it there,
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.
If you trust and never doubt,
He will surely bring you out.
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.
If your body suffers pain
And your health you can’t regain,
And your soul is almost sinking in despair,
Jesus knows the pain you feel,
He can save and He can heal;
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.
Refrain
When your enemies assail
And your heart begins to fail,
Don’t forget that God in Heaven answers prayer;
He will make a way for you
And will lead you safely through.
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.
Refrain
When your youthful days are gone
And old age is stealing on,
And your body bends beneath the weight of care;
He will never leave you then,
He’ll go with you to the end.
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.
Refrain
