‘That Is Not a Religion’: DeSantis Bars Satanists from Florida School Chaplaincy Program
The Sunshine State is now welcoming chaplains into public schools, but Satanists need not apply. On Thursday, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) signed a bill into law allowing chaplains to volunteer to offer counseling at public and charter schools. However, the Catholic governor warned that Satanists would not be accepted into the program, as some Christian and conservative groups had feared.
“Now some have said if you do a school chaplain program that somehow you’re going to have Satanists running around in all our schools,” DeSantis said in a press conference. “We’re not playing those games in Florida. That is not a religion. That is not qualifying to be able to participate in this. We’re going to be using common sense when it comes to this, so you don’t have to worry about that.”
The Florida Senate version of the Bill was approved in February and the House version approved early last month. The legislation’s text states, “Each school district or charter school may adopt a policy to authorize volunteer school chaplains to provide supports, services, and programs to students as assigned by the district school board or charter school governing board.” The new law requires volunteer chaplains to pass a background check and would require school administrators to publicize each volunteer chaplain’s religious affiliation and obtain parental consent before a student begins counseling. GOP Rep. Carl Predicts Backlash from Christian Community for Members Who Turn Against
Speaker Johnson
House Speaker Mike Johnson’s (R-LA) decision to proceed with a foreign aid package against the wishes of some within the House Republican caucus and without some border security concession has base conservatives frustrated with his leadership.
However, Rep. Jerry Carl (R-AL) warns if some GOP House members turn against Johnson and move to oust him, they will receive backlash from the Christian community.
During an interview on Mobile, AL radio’s FM Talk 106.5 on Monday, Carl praised Johnson and predicted consequences for those who turn against him.
“What they’re doing there is they’re trying to build a coalition against Mike Johnson,” he said. “And I’ll tell you something: Mike Johnson may not be perfect. I think the only person in recorded history was Jesus Christ, and they crucified him for it. But Mike Johnson is far from perfect, but he is a good man. He is a good-hearted man. He truly cares about and is passionate about his country. He’s smart enough to understand he can’t win them all. But he’s smart enough to know you have to keep the ball moving.”
“In politics, you can’t just stay still and stay dormant because people will turn on you quickly. Mike chose to move it on. Is he right or is he wrong? History will tell. A lot of people voted for the Ukraine money, and I heard him say history will tell me if I was right or not because some of us feel like it needs to be more monitored, for lack of a better term. But if they turn on Mike Johnson, you’re going to see the Christian community come out after them,” Carl continued. “I think right now, they’re just filling their coffers with money. They’ve got that ‘1-800-send-me-your-money’ line going wide-open of those $25 and $50 donations. That’s who they’re targeting that towards. They’re getting on TV. They’re keeping their base stirred up. I think their base is beginning to turn on them a little bit, too because you’ve got a man in there that is truly trying.”

Robert Kraft Ends Donations to Columbia Due to Antisemitic Violence: ‘No Longer an Institution I Recognize’
New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft has announced that he is cutting Columbia University off and will no longer be donating to the school because of the antisemitism and hate school officials have allowed to flourish on campus.
The billionaire NFL owner noted that he is thankful that Columbia helped him start his adult life with the opportunities it offered him so many years ago. Still, now the university is “no longer an institution” he recognizes, Fox News reported.
“It was through the full academic scholarship Columbia gave me that I was able to attend college and get my start in life, and for that, I have been tremendously grateful. However, the school I love so much – the one that welcomed me and provided me with so much opportunity – is no longer an institution I recognize,” he wrote in a statement released Monday.
Kraft added, “I am deeply saddened at the virulent hate that continues to grow on campus and throughout our country. I am no longer confident that Columbia can protect its students and staff, and I am not comfortable supporting the university until corrective action is taken.” (Breitbart) Read more

Ron DeSantis: Foreign Students Engaging in Antisemitic Protests Should Have Visas Canceled
Foreign students should have their visas canceled if they are engaging in antisemitic protests, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis told the press on Monday, adding that U.S. students who are doing the same should be expelled from colleges and universities.
Discussing the pro-terror, pro-Palestinian demonstrations at various U.S. campuses across the country, DeSantis said he believes the Justice Department should be involved, going to those universities.
“This is unacceptable to have this type of antisemitism where it’s not just bad speech; they’re really targeting Jewish students. It’s a hostile environment and violates the civil rights of those students, and these universities, they just aren’t willing to do what needs to be done,” the governor said, noting that Florida state universities have a code of conduct granting the “right to protest” but not the right to “harass other people.”
“You don’t have a right to put a target on someone’s back based on their religion or ethnicity. And if you’re doing those things, you’re going to be shown the door,” he said. “I think the students — if they’re foreign students on visas, their visa should be canceled, and they should be sent home,” he said to applause.
American students who violate the code of conduct should be expelled, he added, explaining that real consequences will prompt a change in behavior. “Right now in higher education, particularly in those schools up there, the inmates run the asylum. And so the students do this stuff, knowing there’s not gonna be any repercussions,” he said. (Breitbart) Read more.

1. Israel intensifies strikes across Gaza, orders new evacuations in north - World Israel News
Israeli strikes intensified across Gaza on Tuesday in some of the heaviest shelling in weeks, residents said, as the army ordered fresh evacuations in the north of the strip, warning civilians they were in a “dangerous combat zone.”
Strikes by air and shelling from tanks on the ground were also reported in central and southern areas in what residents said were almost non-stop bombardments.
In a post on social media platform X, Israeli army spokesman Avichay Adraee urged residents of four zones in northern Beit Lahiya to move to shelter in two designated areas.
He said the military “will work with extreme force against terrorist infrastructure and subversive elements” in the region. (Read more)
2.Hamas's armed wing calls for escalation across all fronts - Jerusalem Post
The spokesperson for Hamas' armed al-Qassam Brigades, Abu Ubaida, called on Tuesday for an escalation across all fronts in a televised speech marking 200 days since the start of the Israel-Hamas war in the Gaza Strip on Oct. 7.
Israel says it is seeking to eradicate Hamas, which controls the enclave. The war started when the terrorist group attacked Israel, killing 1,200 and taking 253 hostages.
In a video aired by Al Jazeera TV, Abu Ubaida praised Iran's attack on Israel on April 13, saying the direct strikes with explosive drones and missiles "set new rules, drew important equations, and confused the enemy and those behind it." (Read more)
3.Iran Threatens to Annihilate Israel Should It Launch a Major Attack - Algemeiner
An Israeli attack on Iranian territory could radically change dynamics and result in there being nothing left of the “Zionist regime,” Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi was quoted as saying on Tuesday by the official IRNA news agency.
Raisi began a three day visit to Pakistan on Monday and has vowed to boost trade between the neighboring nations to $10 billion a year.
The two Muslim neighbors are seeking to mend ties after unprecedented tit-for-tat military strikes this year.
On Friday, explosions were heard over the Iranian city of Isfahan in what sources said was an Israeli attack but Tehran played down the incident and said it had no plans for retaliation. (Read more)
4.'Revenge on Palestine': Jewish woman kidnapped and raped in Paris suburb - Israel National News
A Jewish woman was kidnapped and raped in Gennevilliers (a suburb in west Paris) in France in an antisemitic attack. "I will desecrate your daughter, I will take revenge on Palestine," the attacker said.
"Thank God she managed to escape! Similarly to Toulouse, Sarah Halimi and the Hyper Cacher – hatred of Israel is lethal in France. It is what fuels antisemitism. Hatred of Israel is the blade of the Islamist dagger," said Jewish MP Meyer Habib.
Habib continued to say that, "At the same time, the Socialist Party in France wants to stop arms shipments to Israel, Foreign Minister Stéphane Séjourné threatens Israel with sanctions and France has voted with Algeria, Cuba and Russia in favor of Palestine joining the UN, which does not recognize Israel!!!" Yale University police arrested 47 anti-Israel protesters for trespassing on Monday morning, as “Gaza solidarity encampments” continue to disrupt college campuses across the country.
After the arrests in New Haven, hundreds of students continued to rally while university maintenance workers cleared Yale’s central Beinecke Plaza of tents, the Yale Daily News student newspaper reported.
Anti-Israel students formed the first of the encampments at Columbia University on Wednesday ahead of congressional testimony by Columbia president Minouche Shafik about Jew-hatred on campus. Shafik asked the New York City Police Department to intervene on Thursday, and more than 100 Columbia students were arrested and the tent encampment cleared.
Those arrests and the destruction of the tent encampment on Columbia’s South Lawn did not stop the protesters, who promptly shifted to Columbia’s West Lawn and built a second tent encampment. (Read more)

1.US unemployment would be higher if illegal immigration were counted correctly: Goldman Sachs - Fox Business
The U.S. unemployment rate would be higher if the government properly accounted for the recent surge in illegal immigration, according to a new analyst note from Goldman Sachs. The Goldman strategists, led by chief economist Jan Hatzius, projected the immigration spike has actually increased the American labor force by about 1.1 million and household employment by 1 million.
When accounting for those figures, they found the unemployment rate in March would increase to 3.9% from the previously reported 3.8% figure. The inconsistency in the data stems from the way that immigration is covered.
The Labor Department's monthly employment report is based on two surveys. The establishment survey, which gathers data from about 122,000 businesses and government agencies, is used to calculate how many jobs the U.S. adds each month. The other is based on monthly interviews of about 60,000 households and is used to determine the unemployment rate. (Read more)

2. Biden’s Title IX Rules Force Schools to Use Transgender Pronouns - Breitbart
The Biden administration’s new Title IX regulations issued last week avoided using the word “transgender,” but the rules, which go into effect on August 1, are already being interpreted as protecting transgenderism, especially in the use of specialized pronouns when transgender and LGBTQ students demand their use.
Throughout the document, the term “gender identity” is used to describe certain actions that the new rules will force all public schools — not just colleges, but all publicly funded schools — to obey or risk being sued and/or losing federal funding.
The new rules announced last week define sex discrimination as discrimination based on gender identity as well as sexual proclivities, and schools cannot separate people based on sex. The rules do not explicitly say that boys must be let into girls bathrooms and changing rooms, but the language has already been interpreted to do just that. (Read more)
- Mighty God, we pray for Your guidance and wisdom to know how to push back against such disrespect to the First Amendment rights of all American citizens to speak freely. There are currently rules in place that make it illegal to "hate" someone with your language, but this Title IX has the capacity to allow power sources to "find" violations and "ensure compliance" in violation of freedom of speech rights. We pray for a healing of children who are being coerced into sexual identities and a building up of family cohesion and security, in Jesus name. We also pray for Your lovingkindness to show us how to walk through these times, drawing all people to Your salvation, for the glory of God.

3. Seattle Children’s Hospital leaves Texas after investigation over gender transition medication for minors - New York Post
Seattle Children’s Hospital has agreed to stop providing care in Texas after backlash for allegedly helping minors in the Lone Star state receive gender transition medication, The Post has exclusively learned.
The hospital is suspected of providing support for gender transitions to Texas-based patients from its Seattle facility, which writes prescriptions for sex change hormones to their pharmacies in the Lone Star state, according to Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton. Paxton says this would violate state law, which prohibits drug and surgical sex changes for kids. However, when his office made enquiries they were rebuffed.
“Seattle Children’s Hospital appeared to break Texas law and initially tried to evade accountability when investigated,” Paxton said in a statement shared with The Post. Paxton sought records regarding child sex change treatments from the hospital. (Read more)

In a significant shift from its previous approach to elections, Mark Zuckerberg’s Meta is distancing itself from politics, which could have a profound impact on the 2024 U.S. presidential election. An analysis of posts by the Trump and Biden campaigns show both have faced a 60 percent drop in engagement between 2020 and 2024 on Facebook.
The Washington Post reports that as the 2024 presidential race between incumbent President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump intensifies, Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, is making significant changes to its approach to politics on its platforms. This shift comes after years of courting the political world, with CEO Mark Zuckerberg once touting Facebook’s influence in the 2016 election, stating, “We helped millions of people connect with candidates so they could hear from them directly and be better informed.”
The company’s attitude towards politics began to change after it was blamed in part for allowing users to organize the events of January 6. Zuckerberg told investors three weeks after the event, “People don’t want politics and fighting to take over their experience on our services.” (Read more)

5. Judge Dismisses Riot Charges For Over 100 Migrants Who Rushed Border - The Daily Caller
A county judge dismissed 140 cases against migrants charged with rioting at the U.S. southern border, finding there was no reason to arrest them.
El Paso County Court at Law 7 Judge Ruben Morales on Monday found no probable cause from Texas Department of Public Safety state troopers to restrain the 140 migrants who were arrested earlier this month for rioting, according to the El Paso Times. The charges stemmed from an incident on April 12 when a group of migrants in El Paso’s Lower Valley cut through concertina wire at the border and then rushed into the U.S.
There were more than 300 migrants in the group at the time of the incident, but a state prosecutor alleged that the push forward by roughly 140 of them prompted the Texas National State Guard to pull back, constituting a riot, WFXR reported. A public defender argued that the arrest affidavits didn’t specify what each migrant did or identify which agent or officer who witnessed them do it. (Read more)

6. Auschwitz survivor warns antisemitism is a 'cancer' spreading across America: 'It's killing our country' - Fox News
Holocaust survivor Tova Friedman's Auschwitz prisoner tattoo is still visible to this day, serving as a "never again" reminder as her Jewish grandchildren face a modern wave of antisemitism. "It's like a cancer. If you don't stop it early, it metastasizes. It's going to kill the body. It's killing our country," she told Fox News Tuesday.
"When I came to America at eleven-and-a-half, it's like I came to the Promised Land, and it was just a fabulous experience. And here it is today. I am shocked, I am pained, I'm scared. I'm scared both for America, I'm scared for the Jews, and it's very painful for our young people."
Sitting down with "Fox & Friends," where she warned of the evils to come unless the widespread prejudice changes course, she showed co-host Ainsley Earhardt her identification tattoo and recounted being a child at Auschwitz. 7. AOC praises the pro-Hamas protesters causing chaos at universities, Biden then praises AOC - DML News
Democrat Socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, sponsor of the radical Green New Deal agenda, joined Joe Biden at a Climate Corps event Monday, in honor of Earth Day, and voiced her endorsement for the radical pro-Palestine, pro-Hamas protesters causing an uproar on multiple universities across the nation.
The event was held at Virginia’s Prince William Forest Park.
In addition to Ocasio-Cortez, other progressive lawmakers also spoke at the event, including Sens. Bernie Sanders of Vermont and Ed Markey of Massachusetts.
During her Earth Day remarks, Ocasio-Cortez praised the anti-Semitic, pro-Hamas takeover of multiple college campuses, declaring, “It is especially important that we remember the power of young people shaping this country today, as we once again witness the leadership of those peaceful student led protests on campuses like Columbia, Yale, Berkeley and many others.” (Read more)

8.Jewish synagogue burned to the ground in New York - DML News
A Jewish synagogue in New York was burned to the ground last week, although the incident barely even made the news. According to Mid Hudson News, the fire broke out in the 2 ½ -story building around 5 a.m. on Wednesday, April 17. The Jewish Press reported:
The Chassidim 110 – Chabad Shul in Pomona, NY, located at 34 Northridge Road, burned completely in a devastating early morning fire on Wednesday. Three Sifrei Torah (Torah scrolls) were tragically confirmed destroyed in the blaze, it was later discovered.
CBS News reported on the mission to save the three sacred Torah scrolls which were held in a safe that was buried in the rubble after the fire. Volunteers “worked for an hour to open the safe containing sacred Torah scrolls which was shut tight due to fire damage to the locking mechanism,” CBS reported. (Read more)

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recent court-mandated release of over 780,000 COVID vaccine injury reports demonstrates that the CDC knew within weeks of the COVID-19 vaccine rollout that the shots left tremendous dangerous side effects in their wake. Moreover, the Food and Drug Administration was ordered in a March 21 settlement to retire, delete and not republish information saying that ivermectin should not be used to treat COVID. These two court orders expose the federal government of gaslighting the American public about the effectiveness of COVID prevention and treatment and the negative life-altering side effects of something the government insisted was “safe and effective.”
A UK study of over 20,000 adults in 2021-22 published February 29 in the Journal of Infection indicated that people treated with ivermectin for COIVD-19 recovered two-days faster, were less likely to be hospitalized, or to die from COVID (1.6% vs 4%), and experienced greater sustained recovery (57% vs 52%). Still the study declined to recommend ivermectin. This and other studies showed the effectiveness of ivermectin treatment, yet governments worldwide, following FDA leadership, refused to treat people with ivermectin. The court order required FDA to “retire” its consumer update “Why You Should Not Use Ivermectin to Treat or Prevent COVID-19,” and to “delete and not republish” its social media posts “you are not a horse. Evidence grows that meteorites, comets could have brought essentials of life to early Earth
The origin of life on Earth is a profound mystery — including when it started and how the ingredients for it were assembled. And a new study aimed at answering the latter question finds that some building blocks didn’t need to have formed on Earth, but could have arrived from space.
The study, published April 17 in Science, recreated the conditions of interstellar space to determine whether an important set of ingredients — carbon, carbon monoxide, and ammonia — could combine there to create peptides, or small chains of amino acids, essential to life on Earth. If so, these peptides could have been delivered to Earth after its formation to aid in the development of early life.
The interstellar medium is the material that exists between stars. It includes the massive molecular clouds from which stars and their planets are born.
“Peptides are forming in molecular clouds under natural conditions. As these clouds evolve, they eventually condense and form new stars and planetary systems,” study lead author Serge Krasnokutskiy, a postdoctoral researcher in astrophysics at the Max Planck Institute in Germany, says.
This means that peptides likely existed in the solar system at its outset, rather than forming uniquely on the early Earth out of the chemical soup on its surface. And those peptides “can continue forming even after the protoplanetary disk and the Sun have been formed Krasnokutskiy adds.
The team also found that most organic matter that went into Earth was likely destroyed during the planet’s formation. Instead, new organics were transported by meteors and comets back to Earth’s surface later on, Krasnokutskiy says.

50,000 join Polish March for Life in the midst of gov’t push to overturn abortion ban
WARSAW, Poland (LifeSiteNews) — On Sunday, 50,000 people took to the streets in Warsaw in one of the largest pro-life events in Poland’s recent history.
The March of Life in Poland’s capital on April 14 took place two days after the left-wing Polish government voted on bills that seek to end the country’s near-total abortion ban.
According toNotes from Poland, Bogusław Kiernicki, one of the organizers of the March, told the crowd to gather on Castle Square. “We want every Polish citizen to have the right to life from conception to natural death,” he said.
“It is not an (act of) grace that we allow a child to be born; it is their sacred right.” he added.
The organizers estimate that 50,000 people attended the event, making it the largest pro-life gathering in Poland in the 21st century. (Read more)
