Joe Biden Signs ‘Environmental Justice’ Order to Impact Every Single Federal Agency
|
|
President Joe Biden on Friday signed an “environmental justice” order in the Rose Garden that gives the White House more ability to track the implementation of social justice policies throughout the administration.
The order will create a new Office of Environmental Justice within the administration to coordinate efforts across the government. The new office will require taxpayer-funded agencies to develop costly plans “to address the disproportionate impact of pollution and climate change on minority and tribal communities,” according to the New York Times.
Critics say the new office is just one more mechanism by which the federal government can enforce far-left ideological policies over Biden’s already struggling economy with systemic inflation.
“Will we preserve our planet for future generations?” Biden asked. “Under this order, environmental justice will become the responsibility of every single federal agency.”
Biden said the new office will be a “yes” to “following the science … And yes, we will include communities that have been denied basic security, basic dignity — having clean air [and] clean water.”
During Friday’s White House press briefing, press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said “climate change” was the foremost crisis the nation faced. “When the president walked into the administration, climate change was one of the crises he felt he needed to deal with,” she said. (Breitbart) Read more

Biden admin is rushing to industrialize US oceans to stop climate change: 'Environmental wrecking ball'

The Biden administration is pushing full steam ahead to massively expand offshore wind development across millions of acres of federal waters, actions that critics warn would have dire ecological and economic impacts.
Days after taking office, President Biden issued an executive action ordering his administration to expand opportunities for the offshore wind industry as part of his aggressive climate agenda to curb greenhouse gas emissions and stop global warming. Months later, he outlined goals to deploy 30 gigawatts of offshore wind energy by 2030, the most ambitious goal of its kind worldwide.
"Two years ago, President Biden issued a bold challenge to move America towards a clean energy future," Deb Haaland, the secretary of the Department of the Interior (DOI), said earlier this month. "The Interior Department answered that call and is moving rapidly to create a robust and sustainable clean energy economy with good-paying union jobs." (Fox News) Read more

US embassy personnel in Sudan evacuated amid violent conflict: reports
|
|
American military officials have evacuated U.S. embassy personnel from violence-torn Sudan, according to reports.
An unnamed source told Reuters that the evacuation was complete as of early Sunday morning. Diplomats and their families were successfully removed from Sudan and the capital city of Khartoum.
The Sudanese military has been working with foreign governments to evacuate diplomats as their country descends into a civil war.
The conflict between the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and Sudan's armed forces began on April 15. The World Health Organization reported that at least 413 people have died, while injury estimates are as high as 3,551. (Fox News) Read more here

FOX News Media, Tucker Carlson part ways
|
|
FOX News Media and Tucker Carlson have agreed to part ways, the network announced on Monday. "We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor," a FOX News Media spokesperson said in a statement.
An interim program, "Fox News Tonight," will air at 8 p.m. ET until a permanent replacement for Carlson is named. "Fox News Tonight" will be hosted by a rotation of various Fox News personalities.
The last edition of "Tucker Carlson Tonight" aired on Friday, April 21. The show began airing in 2016. Before the launch of "Tucker Carlson Tonight," Carlson was co-host of "FOX & Friends Weekend" from 2012 through 2016.
Carlson previously served as an MSNBC host from 2005-2008 and also appeared on CNN earlier in his career. He founded The Daily Caller in 2010, but sold his stake in the political news website in 2020. (Fox News) Read more

2. Israeli Ministers Cancel Participation in Memorial Day Ceremonies - Algemeiner
i24 News – Several ministers and members of Israel’s parliament have cancelled their participation in Memorial Day ceremonies, a day of remembrance for fallen IDF soldiers and victims of terrorism, which will begin Monday evening and continue through Tuesday.
Bereaved families have asked politicians to refrain from attending ceremonies at military cemeteries this year, due to protests against judicial reform and possible turmoil.
Defense Minister Yoav Gallant refused these requests, arguing that ministers and Knesset members represent the state and that their presence has symbolic value. However, a number of ministers announced on Sunday that they would respect the wishes of the families.
Housing and Construction Minister Yitzhak Goldknopf and Deputy Culture and Sports Minister Yaakov Tessler, from the ultra-Orthodox United Torah Judaism party, were the first to cancel their participation. Yitzhak Goldknopf wrote in a letter to a bereaved families’ organization responsible for military ceremonies that although he wanted to attend the ceremony, he did not want to cause “inconvenience.” (Read more)

3. Jerusalem terror attack: Seven wounded in car ramming, terrorist killed - Jerusalem Post
Seven people were wounded in a terrorist car-ramming attack in Jerusalem on Monday.
The victims include a man in his 70s who is in serious condition, a woman in her 30s in moderate condition and a man in his 50s and two 25-year-old men who were lightly wounded.
The victims were taken to Shaare Zedek Medical Center and Hadassah-University Medical Center. (Read more)

4. Israel’s population nears 10 million, a 12-fold increase since state’s 1948 founding - Times of Israel
The population of Israel is edging toward 10 million, making it a dozen times larger than it was on the day the Jewish state was established, according to figures released by the Central Bureau of Statistics on Monday ahead of the country’s 75th Independence Day celebrations.
There are 9,727,000 people living in Israel, the CBS said. Of those, 7,145,000 are Jewish, or 73.5 percent, along with 2,048,000 Arabs (21%) and 534,000 members of other minorities (5.5%).
Since last year, the population grew by 216,000 people, an increase of 2.3%. There were 183,000 babies born and 79,000 new immigrants arrived, while 51,000 people died.
Over a quarter of Israelis, 28%, are children aged 14 or under, while 12% are over the age of 65. (Read more)

5. Israel offers to mediate ceasefire summit in Sudan - World Israel News
Israel has offered to host ceasefire talks between warring factions in Sudan as the death toll reached several hundreds on Monday.
“Since the start of hostilities in the country, Israel has been working different channels to bring about a cease-fire and the advancement in recent days is very encouraging,” Foreign Minister Eli Cohen said on Monday.
“If there is a way Israel could assist in ending the fighting, we would be very happy to do so,” he added. Cohen shares close ties with the embattled country, as does his ministry’s director-general, Ronen Levy. (Read more)

1.Testimony Reveals Blinken — As Adviser to Biden Campaign — Spurred Letter from 51 Intel Officials Discrediting Hunter Laptop Story - Breitbart
An author of the now-debunked public statement from 51 intelligence officials casting doubt on the bombshell Hunter Biden laptop story revealed this month to Congress that Antony Blinken, then a senior adviser to the Biden campaign, was the impetus for the statement.
Former CIA Acting Director Michael Morell testified to the House Judiciary Committee on April 4 that now-Secretary of State Blinken called him about the laptop story just days after the New York Post published it and that the call “triggered” Morell to draft the statement.
Reps. Jim Jordan (R-OH) and Michael Turner (R-OH), chairmen of the Judiciary and Intel Committees, respectively, made the revelation on Thursday in a letter to Blinken, obtained by Breitbart News, that included portions of Morell’s testimony.
The chairmen wrote that Morell testified in the closed-door interview with the committee that Blinken’s call to Morell was “couched as simply gathering Morrell’s reaction to the Post story” but that “it set in motion the events that led to the issuance of the public statement.” (Read more)

2. Three deep red state governors' races that could be surprisingly competitive in 2023 — and even expand Dem control - Fox News
Republicans have a chance to flip two governors' mansions in red states this November as Democrats try to hold the line and are hopeful for one upset.
Kentucky, Louisiana, and Mississippi — all states that went double-digits in favor of Donald Trump against Joe Biden in the last two presidential elections — elect governors in 2023.
"Kentucky and Louisiana both present opportunities for the citizens to elect a Republican governor that better represents the values of those states," Daniel Scarpinato, a spokesman for the Republican Governors Association, told Fox News Digital.
Two states could have their first elected Black governor, while another state’s contest is reminding voters of celebrities Elvis Presley and Brett Favre. (Read more)

3. Justice Dept. warns judges against unconstitutional fines, touts pardons - stripes.com
The Justice Department sent a memo to the nation's judges on Thursday that warned against imposing high fees and fines that would unfairly burden low-income people.
A day later, top officials at the agency celebrated several people who have received pardons and clemencies in recent years, characterizing their long sentences for nonviolent drug crimes as harsh and unfair.
Both efforts were part of the Biden administration's campaign to address what Justice Department officials describe as systemic failings in the justice system that disproportionately affect the poor and people of color.
"Imposing and enforcing fines and fees on individuals who cannot afford to pay them has been shown to cause profound harm," officials wrote in the "Letter to Colleagues" memo this week, which warned that harsh financial penalties that trap people in poverty could be unconstitutional.
"Individuals confront escalating debt; face repeated, unnecessary incarceration for nonpayment of fines and fees; experience extended periods of probation and parole; are subjected to changes in immigration status; and lose their employment, driver's license, voting rights, or home," the memo said. 4. Transgender Democrat Claims ‘Bloodshed’ to Stop Republican Protections - Breitbart
A male Democrat legislator, who claims to be a woman, told Republican legislators in Montana that they should be ashamed for protecting girls and boys from the transgender ideology.
The legislator, Zooey Zephyr, claimed that protection legislation would “torture” teenagers who want to escape the normal course of puberty and then claimed it would cause “bloodshed,” saying:
This body should be ashamed … If you vote yes on this bill and yes on these amendments I hope the next time there’s an invocation, when you bow your heads in prayer, you see the blood on your hands.
Republican legislators responded to the indirect threat by calling for the legislator. Zephyr, to be censured:
This kind of hateful rhetoric from an elected official is exactly why tragedies such as the Covenant Christian school shooting in Nashville occurred. Combined with former Montana Supreme Court Justice Jim Nelson’s recent calls for “Jihad” and a “fight to the death,” there is unmistakable evidence of a desire for some to engage in violence over political beliefs. 5. Washington Post: Mayorkas Plans Global Migrant Pipeline - Breitbart
President Joe Biden may open a welcome center for global migrants in the South American country of Colombia, according to a report in the Washington Post.
The wage-cutting migrants would be processed and then flown into the U.S. for jobs and homes that would otherwise be filled by Americans, including sidelined Americans.
The revelations come as Biden’s pro-migration officials are preparing to lift the Title 42 barrier for the roughly 600,000 waiting migrants in Mexico. That waiting population is roughly equivalent to one migrant for every six births in 2023.
The Washington Post reported April 21:
Biden officials have discussed establishing processing centers in Guatemala and Colombia for asylum seekers, according to two people with knowledge of the discussions who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss internal deliberations.
The plan matches the administration’s strategy of redirecting cartel-managed illegal migration through government-run “processing centers” and quasi-legal loopholes in the nation’s border laws. (Read more)

6. Texas Senate approves putting Ten Commandments in public schools - Just the News
The Texas Senate has approved a measure to display the Ten Commandments in public school classrooms.
After the upper chamber advanced the plan in a Thursday party line, 17-12 vote, it now heads to the state House for consideration, The Hill reported.
The Ten Commandments are a series of dictates said to have been revealed to the prophet Moses while at the top of Mount Sinai in modern Egypt. Many Christian and Jewish schools of thought view them as foundational to moral law.
The tenets themselves appear in chapter 20 of the Book of Exodus.
"I think this would be a good healthy step for Texas to bring back this tradition of recognizing America’s religious heritage," said Sen. Phil King, R, who sponsored the bill. (Read more)

7. Alleged docs leaker Jack Teixeira may have shared classified info since start of Ukraine war: report - NY Post
Massachusetts Air National Guardsman Jack Teixeira may have been distributing secret intelligence related to the war in Ukraine earlier and to a larger audience than previously known, according to a report. The New York Times reported on Friday that a Discord user matching the profile of Teixeira began sharing classified information in a chat group with roughly 600 members just days after Russia’s February 2022 invasion of Ukraine.
The newly discovered information details Russian and Ukrainian casualty numbers, lists the activities of the Kremlin’s spy agencies and includes updates on aid being provided to Kyiv, according to the report.
The user, believed to be the 21-year-old airman, claimed to be posting information from the National Security Agency, the Central Intelligence Agency and other intelligence outfits.
“Saw a pentagon report saying that 1/3rd of the force is being used to invade,” the user wrote in one Discord message, less than 48 hours after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, according to the New York Times. (Read more)

8. Horrifyingly incompetent Biden official looks poised to fail upwards (again) - Washington Examiner
In the real world, being bad at your job will get you fired. Yet, in the government, being bad at your job will get you a massive promotion. At least, that’s seemingly the takeaway from the Biden administration’s bizarre decision to nominate Julie Su to be its next labor secretary.
“Julie is a tested and experienced leader, who will continue to build a stronger, more resilient, and more inclusive economy that provides Americans a fair return for their work and an equal chance to get ahead,” the White House said .
Su currently serves as deputy labor secretary, but she is seeking Senate confirmation for a promotion to replace outgoing Labor Secretary Marty Walsh. However, prior to becoming a deputy in the Biden administration, she was labor secretary for the state of California — and her tenure was an absolute disaster.
Su personally oversaw the state’s distribution of expanded COVID-19-era unemployment benefits, massively expanded payouts subsidized by federal taxpayers thanks to the so-called CARES Act passed in March 2020. Under her watch, the state gave tens of billions of dollars away to scammers, by its own admission. At least $11.4 billion and possibly up to $31 billion were lost to fraud, local media reported. Have you ever mourned? Did you ever feel down in the spirit? Have you been humbled? Do you hunger and thirst for righteousness? Have you ever shown mercy? Do you have a pure heart? Have you ever made peace among your friends and family? Do you feel persecuted because of your stand for what’s right? Has anyone ever falsely accused you or spoken bad about you because of your belief and faith in Christ? Then you should be able to look at this dark and dying world and grab onto the promises of Christ for there is much blessing, inheritance and comfort ahead as you will see God and be called a child of God! Be encouraged this day for you have seen another dawn, another opportunity for life.
It is not difficult to look around you and believe what you see. But it is in what you do not see are the blessings and strength and courage found in the Spirit of the Lord. As is written in 2 Corinthians 4:16-18, “Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. The Super Pressure Balloon Imaging Telescope (SuperBIT) that launched on a scientific super pressure balloon April 16, 2023, local time from Wānaka, New Zealand, captured its first research images from this flight of the Tarantula Nebula and Antennae Galaxies. These images were captured on a balloon-borne telescope floating at 108,000 feet above Earth’s surface, allowing scientists to view these scientific targets from a balloon platform in a near-space environment.
The advantage of balloon-based versus space telescopes is the reduced cost of not having to launch a large telescope on a rocket. A super pressure balloon can circumnavigate the globe for up to 100 days to gather scientific data. The balloon also floats at an altitude above most of the Earth’s atmosphere, making it suitable for many astronomical observations.
The SuperBIT telescope captures images of galaxies in the visible-to-near ultraviolet light spectrum, which is within the Hubble Space Telescope’s capabilities, but with a wider field of view. The goal of the mission is to map dark matter around galaxy clusters by measuring the way these massive objects warp the space around them, also called “weak gravitational lensing.” Read More

Top Pastor Says Asbury and 2023 Point to Awakening

One of the country's most influential pastors says despite the darkness of our times, recent news events point to the hand of God at work in early 2023. "God's moving in a new generation," Rev. Sam Rodriguez, president of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference told CBN News in a recent interview. "Am I optimistic? Absolutely…are we on the precipice of a new Jesus revolution? Yes. Do I think more people will be saved in the next five to 10 years, if the Lord tarries, than ever before? Yes—100 percent." Rodriguez, who's served as an advisor to both Presidents Obama and Trump, says he believes the country is on the verge of an awakening. He traces an arc of events starting with the Supreme Court's abortion ruling last June. "It triggered a shift in the atmosphere, spiritually and prophetically," Rodriguez said. "Something was unleashed. That something is redemptive, it's life, it's John 10:10, abundant life—this call for the unborn."
Rodriguez sees elevated spiritual warfare in recent news events including school shootings and violence in the streets. And he also sees God moving in 2023, beginning with Buffalo Bills' Safety Damar Hamlin's cardiac arrest during a Jan. 2nd game. Millions watching on television began praying along with the athletes on the field. The next day, ESPN anchor Dan Orlovsky prayed for Hamlin on live television. Just weeks later Rodriguez notes, revival broke out Feb. 8th on the campus of Asbury University in Wilmore, Kentucky. In the following days, other campuses across the country reported spiritual renewal and revival. It's no coincidence says Rodriguez. "The same demographic deemed as the most non-Christian demographic in American history…and God says 'watch me'" he said. BREAKING!!! Merrick Garland Identified as Official Misleading Congress in Hunter Biden Tax Probe

Attorney General Merrick Garland is the previously unidentified official who, according to an IRS whistleblower, misled Congress about the Justice Department’s probe into Hunter Biden, a report alleged Friday.
Garland refused to name a special counsel in Hunter’s tax investigation to provide a degree of separation between President Joe Biden and his Justice Department.
Garland has repeatedly testified before Congress that U.S. Attorney David Weiss has the “full authority” to make a criminal referral against Hunter without the permission of the Justice Department. Garland noted he would personally have to “authorize” any charges. (Breitbart) Read more
