Biden slammed on social media after announcing "Transgender Day of Visibility" on Easter Sunday
|
|
President Joe Biden was slammed on social media Saturday after designating Easter Sunday, the most solemn Christian holiday, as ‘Transgender Day of Visibility.’
Prominent Christians, politicians, and commenters flooded social media platforms with criticism after the announcement from the White House.
"On Transgender Day of Visibility, we honor the extraordinary courage and contributions of transgender Americans and reaffirm our Nation’s commitment to forming a more perfect Union — where all people are created equal and treated equally throughout their lives," a statement released by the White House read.
"Today, we send a message to all transgender Americans: You are loved. You are heard. You are understood. You belong. You are America, and my entire Administration and I have your back," it continued. "NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOSEPH R. BIDEN JR., President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim March 31, 2024, as Transgender Day of Visibility." Chinese Migrant Suddenly Found on California

The arrest of a Chinese national at a Marine Corps base in California is spurring many questions.
The presence of Chinese nationals on American soil has been on lawmakers' radar for months, given the recent influx of migrants at the southern and northern borders and exacerbated tensions with the Chinese Communist Party.
Republican Senators Joni Ernst and Marco Rubio are among nearly three dozen members of Congress who have requested visa changes through the Department of Homeland Security. They told Newsweek earlier this week that Chinese nationals' ability to enter U.S. territories like Guam through the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands without proper B-1 (business) or B-2 (tourism) visas should be immediately addressed with reform.
On Friday, Border Patrol chief agent Gregory Bovino wrote on X (formerly Twitter) that agents responded to a call from a Marine base about a Chinese national in the El Centro Sector "who entered the base without authorization, ignoring orders to leave."
"Subject was confirmed to be in the country illegally," Bovino wrote, along with an image of the suspect. "His purpose & intent behind his actions are still being investigated." (US News) Read more here.

White House Bans Religious Easter Eggs From Art Contest
|
|
The Biden administration banned children from submitting Easter eggs with religious themes for its 2024 “Celebrating National Guard Families” art contest.
The competition, which is part of the White House’s annual Easter Egg Roll, explicitly stipulated that egg designs not feature any “religious symbols” on the Christian holiday.
“The Submission must not include any questionable content, religious symbols, overtly religious themes,” a flyer with instructions from the White House stated.
The Easter contest asks children of National Guard families to decorate an egg template with “a snapshot of their life – a favorite activity, scenery in your state, your military family, a day-in-your life, etc,” according to the White House flyer. The winning submissions will be recreated “in real hen eggs by talented egg artists” from across the U.S. and “displayed at the White House this Easter and Passover season.” (Daily Caller) Read more here.

1. US, Israeli Officials Meet Virtually on Rafah - Algemeiner
Senior US and Israeli officials held a virtual meeting on Monday to discuss the Biden administration’s alternative proposals to an Israeli military offensive in Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip opposed by Washington.
A US official said the meeting was over and a written statement about it was expected later.
US President Joe Biden has urged Israel not to conduct a large-scale offensive in Rafah to avoid more civilian casualties among the Palestinian population in Gaza, the Palestinian enclave ruled by the Hamas terror group.
White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said the United States has made its concerns known about any major ground operation in Rafah, the last Hamas stronghold in Gaza and where more than 1 million displaced civilians are currently sheltering. (Read more)

2. BREAKING NEWS - Strategic blow: Alleged Israeli airstrike takes out Iranian general in Damascus - Jerusalem Post
Mohammed Reza Zahedi, the top commander in the Quds Force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) for Lebanon and Syria was assassinated in an airstrike on Monday, along with his lieutenant and about five other officers, the IRGC said that night.
Zahedi is the highest-ranking Iranian killed since the current war started, even higher than Sayyed Reza Mousavi, killed in December, The Jerusalem Post has learned. (Read more)

3. Israel appropriates 42 acres in West Bank’s Etzion Bloc, declaring it state land - Times of Israel
Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich announced Monday that the Civil Administration, an agency in the Defense Ministry, has declared 170 dunams (42 acres) of land surrounding the Herodium archaeological site in the West Bank region of the Etzion Bloc as “state land,” meaning land that is not privately owned and can be used for various purposes, including settlement development.
Smotrich, who has authority over the Civil Administration as part of his role as a second minister in the Defense Ministry, said he has been working on advancing declarations of state land in the West Bank over the last year, which he described as “very important processes in the campaign for open spaces [in the West Bank].”
Gush Etzion Regional Council Chairman Yaron Rosenthal lauded the announcement, saying it will serve as a catalyst for transforming the Herodium site into an international tourist center. He added that it will “bring prosperity to the entire region” and is “a magnificent testimony to our historical connection with this part of the country.” (Read more)

4. Late night drone attack hits building in southern Israeli city of Eilat - World Israel News
A building in the southern Israeli city of Eilat was lightly damaged by a drone attack overnight Sunday, according to the Israel Defense Forces.
The UAV was launched from Iraq and entered Israeli territory from Jordan, Ynet reported.
Sirens sounded in the area of the Red Sea resort town around 1:30 a.m.
“IDF soldiers identified a suspicious aerial target that crossed from the east toward Israeli territory. The target fell in the area of the Gulf of Eilat. No injuries were reported and there was light damage caused to a building,” according to the IDF. (Read more)

5. Hundreds of ultra-Orthodox block Route 4 in protest against IDF conscription - Times of Israel
Hundreds of ultra-Orthodox protesters blocked the Route 4 highway outside the central city of Bnei Brak during a demonstration against conscription to the military on Monday, the date set as a deadline for the Defense Ministry to begin drafting Haredim.
The demonstrators belonged to the extremist Jerusalem Faction, which numbers some 60,000 members and regularly demonstrates against the enlistment of yeshiva students.
Protesters held banners reading “To jail and not the army,” “We will die rather than draft,” “Stalin is here,” and “Russia is here.” Police arrested six demonstrators and forcefully cleared the highway after the demonstrators refused to leave, opening the road to traffic after two hours. NIH approved second grant for new Colorado State bat lab and imported bats months after USDA found it committed animal cruelty, hid protocol on withholding pain meds from test subjects.

Fort Collins, Colorado, could have become the next Wuhan, China, with dozens of lab accidents just this decade involving outbreak-prone pathogens in animals including coronaviruses, Zika and tuberculosis, according to a group that fights taxpayer-funded animal testing.
The "incident reports" from Colorado State University's Institutional Biosafety Committee minutes, obtained by Colorado Open Records Act request, detail 64 lab accidents from 2020 through 2023, the White Coat Waste Project said this week.
The National Institutes of Health chipped in more than $8 million in 2021 and 2023 to build a new CSU bat lab and import bats with Nipah virus and SARS-related coronaviruses via the EcoHealth Alliance, WCW discovered last fall, dubbing the campus "Wuhan West."
The 2023 grant came months after the Agriculture Department found CSU committed animal cruelty by subjecting rabbits to temperatures above "the humane endpoint" and failed to report "a protocol for [26] rabbits that required the withholding of anesthetics and analgesics for scientific purposes." Three top communication staffers in Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman's office left for other left-leaning offices, all within the span of a month.
The departures come as the Pennsylvania Democrat has made headlines for his stances on Israel and immigration, separating him from his fellow Democrat colleagues.
Joe Calvello formerly worked as Fetterman's Director of Communications both in his Senate office and on his 2022 campaign. A statement released earlier this month by the City of Chicago announced that Calvello would be joining as Chief Strategy Officer in Chicago Democrat Mayor Brandon Johnson's office.
"It’s an absolute honor and a privilege to come to Chicago and serve the people of this great city," Calvello said in the statement released.
Fetterman's Deputy Communication Director Nicholas Gavio shared on X on Friday that he would be joining the Working Families Party as Mid-Atlantic Communications Director.

Journalists in the White House press corps covering President Joe Biden’s administration habitually steal insignia items from Air Force One, four people told West Wing Playbook.
The looting reportedly grew to such a degree under Biden’s tenure that the president of the White House Correspondents’ Association, NBC correspondent Kelly O’Donnell, issued a “terse reminder” that stealing from Air Force One is not allowed, several individuals who saw the off-the-record email confirmed to Playbook.
None of the members of the press corps reportedly responded to O’Donnell’s email.
Items allegedly stolen include:
- Wine glasses
- Tumblers
- Gold-rimmed plates
- Embroidered pillowcase
“For years, scores of journalists — and others — have quietly stuffed everything from engraved whiskey tumblers to wine glasses to pretty much anything with the Air Force One insignia on it into their bag before stepping off the plane,” Playbook reported:
“On my first flight, the person next to me was like, ‘You should take that glass,’” one current White House reporter told West Wing Playbook. “They were like: ‘Everyone does it.’”
When we raised the subject with current and former White House correspondents, stories spilled forth. There’s one about the senator in the front of the plane who — as a chatty aide told reporters — was taking everything not bolted down. Several colleagues of one former White House correspondent for a major newspaper described them hosting a dinner party where all the food was served on gold-rimmed Air Force One plates, evidently taken bit by bit over the course of some time. Reporters recalled coming down the back stairs after returning to Joint Base Andrews in the evening with the sounds of clinking glassware or porcelain plates in their backpacks. (Read more)

The establishment media — which is notoriously anti-Trump — as well as some members of the far-left and anti-Trump Republicans, are attacking former President Donald Trump for promoting the “God Bless the USA Bible,” as he made it clear that America must “protect anything that is pro-God” and “pray again.”
Trump partnered with American country artist Lee Greenwood, perhaps best known for “God Bless the U.S.A.,” encouraging Americans to purchase a copy of the King James Bible. It features a copy of U.S. founding documents — including the Constitution, Bill of Rights, and Declaration of Independence — as well as the Pledge of Allegiance and a “handwritten chorus to ‘God Bless The USA’ by Lee Greenwood,” according to the website. 5- Cruz Blasts Mexico’s AMLO For ‘Trying To Extort America’- Daily Wire
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) slammed lefist Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, known as AMLO, this week over his demand that the U.S. give billions of dollars to Latin American countries and assist Marxist regimes or else Mexico will continue to allow illegal aliens to flood the U.S. southern border.
Cruz’s remarks come after AMLO claimed during an interview that aired on Sunday that he ended corruption in Mexico and that the hundreds of political assassinations that are carried out every year in his country are not a threat to democracy.
AMLO demanded earlier this year that if the U.S. wanted help in combating the millions of illegal aliens entering through the southern border, the U.S. must give tens of billions of dollars per year to countries in Latin America, give work visas to 10 million illegal aliens in the U.S., lift sanctions on socialist Venezuela, and end the embargo of communist Cuba.
“Notice his demands. His demands are end the embargo against Cuba. And end the sanctions against Venezuela,” Cruz said on his “Verdict” podcast.
“He’s standing with communist dictators in Cuba and Venezuela,” he said. “That’s who he aligns himself with is the hard-Left anti-American Communist axis through Latin America. That’s who AMLO is. So it’s not surprising. That’s who he’s always been.” (Read more)

6 - ‘Entirely Unachievable’: Biden EPA Locks In Stringent Emissions Rule For Heavy-Duty Vehicles To Fight Climate Change- Daily Caller
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) finalized aggressive emissions standards Friday for heavy-duty vehicles that will effectively require huge increases in the numbers of electric or zero-emission buses and trucks sold over the next decade.
The agency is projecting that the heavy-duty vehicle emissions standards for model years 2027 to 2032 could result in zero-emission or electric vehicles (EVs) making up 25% of new long-haul trucks sold and 40% of all new medium-sized truck sales by 2032, according to The New York Times. The EPA’s final emissions standards for heavy-duty vehicles complements the agency’s recent release of the final tailpipe emissions standards for light- and medium-duty vehicles that has been characterized as an “EV mandate.”
Currently, electric trucks can cost up to three times as much as diesel-powered models, and the size of their batteries reduces the amount of freight that a truck can haul, according to the Times. Electric trucks also need to use very strong chargers, which in turn could require upgrades to the power grid to handle recharging numerous trucks at the same time; there are currently about 5,000 electric truck chargers in the U.S. today, and about one million will be needed to keep up with the EPA’s regulation.
In addition to buses and trucks, the regulation applies to vehicles like ambulances, garbage trucks and cement mixers, according to The Times. While environmentalist organizations applauded the rule, several trucking industry trade associations — including the American trucking Associations (ATA) — have sharply criticized it for imposing unrealistic compliance timelines that threaten to damage the American economy. 7 -Harvard Law Students Amend Bylaws To Enact Secret Ballot Ahead Of Vote To Boycott Israel- Daily Wire
Harvard Law School’s student government is actively voting on a resolution to boycott Israel through a secretive online ballot, a departure from bylaws that required an in-person recorded vote.
The resolution, which can only be voted on through an anonymous Google survey by members by Friday at 8:00 a.m., calls on all Harvard institutions to divest from entities that have a hand in the “occupation of Palestine,” without defining if “Palestine” includes only the West Bank and Gaza or Israel proper as well.
“Harvard Law School Government calls upon all institutions and organizations within the Harvard community to divest from institutions, weapons manufacturers, firms, academic programs, corporations, and all other institutions that aid the ongoing illegal occupation of Palestine and the genocide of Palestinians,” the resolution states. 8 - Family Member Of Slain NYPD Officer Told Gov. Hochul To ‘Change The Bail Laws,’ ‘You Have Blood On Your Hands’: Report- Daily Wire
A family member of slain NYPD officer Jonathan Diller ripped Democratic Gov. Kathy Hochul to her face and told her that her presence was unwelcome at the Friday wake for the fallen officer, a source told The New York Post.
A video of an exchange between Hochul and a man attending Diller’s wake was posted to social media and showed the man getting animated while he talked with the governor. Hochul and her team got back into an SUV and left the wake after the exchange.
The source told the Post that a family member of Diller “was going crazy” on Hochul, telling her, “We don’t want you here. You’re not wanted here. You have blood on your hands. If you want to do something, change the bail laws.” CBS New York also reported that Hochul’s appearance was received poorly by Diller’s family members, who slammed her record on criminal justice policy. President Biden is pushing for trillions in tax hikes during an election year, despite experts warning it would reduce economic output and have other dire effects. It may be popular with the anti-corporate elements of potential voters, but tax experts say it's a mistake.
"The tax increases would substantially increase marginal tax rates on investment, saving, and work, reducing economic output by 2.2 percent in the long run, wages by 1.6 percent, and employment by 788,000 full-time equivalent jobs," according to a recent Tax Foundation analysis. "On a gross basis, we estimate Biden’s FY 2025 budget would increase taxes by about $4.4 trillion over that period [of 2024 to 2034]. After taking various credits into account, the increase would be about $3.4 trillion," read the analysis.
The tax changes Biden is seeking include "additional taxes on high earners, higher taxes on U.S. businesses— including increasing taxes that Biden enacted with the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) — and more tax credits for a variety of taxpayers and activities," the Tax Foundation found. (Read more)

Of Blood And Freedom

As we commemorate the ultimate blood sacrifice of Christ Jesus on the cross and his defeat of death that we may obtain salvation and everlasting life, we must remember that this not just a story, not just a perfunctory “check off the box” that we attend services. As recorded in Luke 4, Christ proclaimed in the synagogue on the sabbath from the book of Isaiah, “The Spirit of the LORD is upon me, because he has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recover the sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord.” Then he said, “This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.”
Jesus set out on a journey to fulfill what had been set in motion in the Garden of Eden with the fulfillment of the Father’s salvation plan for mankind. This often prompts the question: Why all the blood? Many of the explanations deal with the idea of “penal substitutionary atonement,” in other words, God’s demand for justice that is “satisfied” by the shedding of the sacrificial victim’s blood. This idea was common to the time, with the many pagan sacrifices. However, the LORD had a better “pattern” to establish through the shadow of the sacrificial system. The Old Testament makes it clear that blood was used for obtaining atonement with God. For example, before the Exodus from Egypt, blood was applied to the doorposts of the houses so that judgement would pass over the house. Note that unblemished lambs were required. Read More

This weekend marked a rare intersection of Easter, Passover, and Ramadan holidays. Although Easter and Passover often fall on the same weekend, they only coincide with Ramadan about once every thirty years.
The intersection of the three holidays has caused a stir in Britain due to the presence of Ramadan lights wishing Muslims a "Happy Ramadan," while nothing was displayed for Easter. Along with Britons expressing their displeasure on social media, Alex Phillips of TalkTV said, "This (London) is the capital city of the United Kingdom, a Christian country. That is still our state religion, whether you follow it or not - and we've got a big Islamic festival being celebrated on the main, most important thoroughfares ... it's insane. [In places like Syria and Afghanistan,] they don't let us put our Christmas lights up, do they? Christianity makes us the country we are today; it underpins our cultural values. This is insane. It is insulting."
London is not the only major European city marking Ramadan. In Germany, Frankfort and Cologne put up Ramadan lights, and in Norway, the city of Oslo decorated a central street with crescent moons. In the U.S., Brooklyn, New York, has a 20-block Ramadan display in Bay Ridge, and Nassau Community College hosted the "first ever Muslim Lights Fest on Long Island."
Perhaps another Briton best summed up this new trend in Western nations when he wrote, "Ramadan lights at Easter. This is cultural displacement.” (Best Current News) Read more here.

PRAYER
It is reported that a past leader made this observation: "When Muslims are the minority they are concerned with minority rights, when they are in the majority there are no minority rights.” Secularism creates a spiritual vacuum that Islam fills in Western nations.
Often leaders in Western nations will compromise because they want to prevent any religious violence and therefore they will permit things taking place by and for Muslims that they would never permit the promotion of it by Jews or Christians. Leaders and citizens need the wisdom of God in decisions they face regarding Islam, rather than responding to the situations with fear.
Pray for leaders to respond in a Christ-centered way and in the best interest of their nation.
Pray for Muslims in Western nations to be drawn to sound, Bible-believing churches to hear the gospel's truth and hunger to know more about Jesus Christ and His love for them.

Easter Without Jesus

The Biden White House held the annual Easter Egg Roll today. Part of the event featured a competition for the children of National Guard soldiers. They were invited to decorate an egg template depicting “a snapshot of their life.”
But the instructions came with a long list of banned depictions, including “religious symbols” and “overtly religious themes.” Evidently, Jesus is not welcome at Biden’s White House Easter Egg Roll.
That’s not surprising, considering that Biden issued a proclamation declaring Easter Sunday “Transgender Day of Visibility.” This was an obvious insult to millions of Christians.
At Christmas, we celebrate God becoming a man and entering the world. Jesus walked the earth, explaining how we can find eternal life. He was brutally executed by the big government of His day and was buried in a tomb.
Unlike any other faith in the world, He rose from the dead, and forever defeated Satan and death for all of us. That is what Christians celebrated this weekend.
But that holy day warranted just three short paragraphs from the White House, less than 100 words, and not much more than a perfunctory passing reference to the resurrection.
In stark contrast, Biden’s transgender proclamation goes on for two pages. It not only marks something, it advocates for it. Its 635 words are an act of persuasion, telling you that this is what you must accept, yet it is full of complete lies.
It is clearly far more important to the Biden White House that we accept the lies in those two pages that are directly contrary to the Bible and biology, than we accept the truth of the resurrection.
In fact, the words used to describe transgender individuals are words the Biden/Harris regime would never say about Jesus Christ. They were described as “extraordinarily courageous,” “part of the fabric of our nation,” and deserving of “dignity and respect.”
They would never say that about Christians.

NASA’s Artemis IV: Building First Lunar Space Station

Pride flags have been banned from all US embassies
as part of Biden's $1.2 trillion spending package

The New York Post recently reported that Pride flags will no longer be allowed to fly at U.S. embassies. The ban comes after President Joe Biden signed a $1.2 trillion spending package. Biden released a statement saying that the "bipartisan funding bill I just signed keeps the government open, invests in the American people, and strengthens our economy and national security. This agreement represents a compromise, which means neither side got everything it wanted.”
The 1,012-page text was spearheaded by Republicans, which stated: "None of the funds appropriated or otherwise made available by this Act may be obligated or expended to fly or display a flag over a facility of the United States Department of State.” There have been heated debates about Pride flags flown at U.S. embassies around the world. While the flags were flown under the Obama administration, they were subsequently banned by the Trump administration in 2019.
