Virginia Judge Hands Victory to Parents, Sides Against Prosecutor on School Board Recall

A Virginia-based parent group attempting to oust five Loudoun County School Board members was given a small win after a Loudoun County Circuit Court judge ruled Tuesday in favor of the organization’s recall petition against a board member who sought to dismiss it.

On Tuesday, a judge denied Loudoun County school board member Beth Barts’ motion to dismiss the case and also removed Loudoun County Commonwealth’s Attorney Buta Biberaj from the case.

The group Fight For Schools and others have alleged that Barts was involved in a private Facebook group that violated the School Board’s Code of Conduct and other laws after members allegedly tried to attempt to reveal private information about parents and opponents.

Judge Jeanette Irby, meanwhile, ruled that Biberaj should be removed from the case due to a public perception issue, arguing the public may not trust the prosecutor to be impartial.

“I have the utmost respect for Ms. Biberaj … however, if she continued on this case there would never be acceptance on this case,” Irby said, according to local media outlets.

An attorney for Citizens of Leesburg, another plaintiff in the case, cited a Twitter post made by Biberaj in which she shared a letter to the editor published in Loudoun Now that supported the district’s diversity, equity, and inclusion work—which is closely aligned with the quasi-Marxist critical race theory that’s now at the center of many heated school board debates across the United States.

Biberaj was also listed as a member of the same private Facebook group in which Barts had belonged—Anti-Racist Parents of Loudoun—where members were allegedly sought to reveal private information, or “doxx,” parents and opponents of critical race theory. (Epoch Times) Read more.

- Father God, in a week when we have heard that the FBI is about to arrest law-abiding parents for simply voicing their concerns, as "domestic terrorists" at school board meetings across the nation, we REJOICE at this good news!

May the example set by Judge Jeanette Irby become a judicial standard for the rights of our citizens to speak freely, especially when defending the well being of our children. In Your Name, amen and amen.

- "You need not fight in this battle; station yourselves, stand and see the salvation of the LORD on your behalf, O Judah and Jerusalem. Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out to face them, for the LORD is with you."            (2 Chronicles 20:17)
Students nationwide take part in 'Bring Your Bible to School Day' to speak God's truth into culture

Hundreds of thousands of Christian students nationwide were encouraged to bring their Bibles to school on Thursday as part of a Christian advocacy organization's annual Bring Your Bible to School Day.

Focus on the Family spearheaded its eighth annual Bring Your Bible to School Day as students were emboldened to share the word of God with their classmates.

The purpose of the occasion is to have students "read and treasure Scripture as God's Holy Word, to encourage others with the hope we have in Christ Jesus, and to celebrate our religious freedoms in the United States."

"This annual campaign empowers Christian students of all ages to speak God's grace and truth into the culture around them, starting with two simple steps — bringing their Bibles to school and sharing what God's word means to them," Focus on the Family Program Manager Bret Eckelberry said in a statement. - Father God, as we end another difficult week in America, we thank You for hearing a second good news report today. We pray that the seeds of truth that were released during this special day last week would bear fruit for You, Holy One, and for the work of Your kingdom. In Jesus' name, amen.

- " . . . And a little child shall lead them." (Isaiah 11:6)

3. Big Michigan Rally coming up on Oct. 12th, on the Capitol steps in Lansing, where Patriots will demand a Forensic Audit of the 2020 Presidential Election Scam. The Voter Fraud is beyond what anyone can believe. Anyone who cares about our Great Country should attend, because unless we look to the past and fix what happened, we won’t have a future or a Country. Matt DePerno, Rep. Steve Carra, and Kristina Karamo, who I have endorsed, will be there. Let’s Go, Michigan, don’t let us down!

4. Republican Senators, do not vote for this terrible deal being pushed by folding Mitch McConnell. Stand strong for our Country. The American people are with you!

In Context: Strategic Pause
After rejecting a request for a strategic pause from a Senator from his own party a month ago, Majority Leader Schumer this week accepted an offer for a pause from Republican Leader McConnell. Wall Street was getting nervous and credit rating agencies were announcing intended changes if the debt ceiling was not raised.

While Republicans felt they had a strong case for having nothing to do with a debt limit increase, they gave a temporary reprieve to ensure their case was airtight. Make no mistake, if they are not taken seriously, if the U.S. hits a hard fiscal limit, and Members of Congress start taking incoming from all corners of the economy, the pressure to “do something” will be immense, unlike anything yet seen.

What McConnell said: A day after noting “Democrats requested and won new powers—new powers—to repeatedly reuse the reconciliation process,” he said this week’s actions “definitively resolv[e] the majority's excuse that they lacked time to address the debt limit through the 304 reconciliation process.” In other words, Senate Democrats asked for this, and now Republicans are going to make sure they use it. If Democrats want the infrastructure bills linked, the Republicans are going to make sure the debt limit is linked, too.

What Schumer understood: This week’s “vote is proof positive that the debt limit can be addressed without going through the reconciliation process, just as Democrats have been saying for months.” His insults to Republicans in that speech in response to their mercy is hardening their resolve to ensure his conclusion is incorrect.

We’ve had months of the party leaders talking past each other, and now we’re signed up for about two more. This strategic pause is not a cooling off period. This is a period of entrenchment for an even hotter fight in 55 calendar days with multiple major legislative deadlines once again coming due all at once: annual government funding, annual defense legislation, debt limit, etc.

It's also worth noting this is not a done deal yet. While response to this Senate action from House Democrats has been muted, they have no margin for error, and some moderates are not happy about how this now increases they number of debt ceiling increase votes they will have to take this Congress.

Democrats claim that the debt limit is about past spending. Fair enough. Now we are reaping what we have sown. If this is now a problem, the answer is not to sow more of what led to the problem. Needing and allowing more debt does not demonstrate a willingness to pay; it demonstrates the opposite. The debt limit is the last legislative tool to ensure that we stop sowing into this problem and making it worse. The ultimate and necessary answer is to change our minds about those ways and seek the mercy of the Lord.

Not that long ago, the debt ceiling did not hold that much sway over American lawmaking. The same can be said for the full faith and credit of the United States. An increase in debt not being needed is what make our credit credible.

Debt tells lies. It says you can reap now and sow later. It teaches that our time later is worth less than our time now. So much of what we chase in this life is only a shadow of things to come in abundance. The true substance is of Christ (Colossians 2:17). We would be better off setting our minds on things above, not on things on the earth (Colossians 3:2). We should not stop looking at what is happening in Congress, but we should stop looking to Congress to make things happen.

Father, we ask you to give us a strategic pause before You, to raise up Your Truth from Your Word in this time, in this place, in our nation, in our Congress, with our leaders. May they know and see who we were, who we have been, who we are, Your purposes for us, how we have turned away from them, and how You want to bring us back to Yourself.

Father, we also lift up Speaker Pelosi before you. We thank you for her trip to visit Pope Francis, and we ask You to open her heart to the sanctity of life and the amazing work You do in the womb. Please turn her and our Nation away from the evil of the taking of life in the womb. To the extent that this is the underlying issue in our nation right now, we ask you to make that plain to our leaders, and give them the will to act according to Your will.

“And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.” (Colossians 2:13-15)

Dear Saints,

A lifestyle of REPENTANCE is so close to the heart of God.

Indeed, He commands us to  "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!" Matthew 3:2

How, then, can we approach His Throne of GRACE, in repentance?

We invite you to join us every week on Sunday evening, as we explore this vital topic together. We present a different prayer focus each week, leading us into repentance, so that we might approach His Throne of Grace in repentance, presenting ourselves to Him as a pure and a spotless Bride, without spot or wrinkle. (Ephesians 5:27)

Praying together, we desire to fulfill the mandate of Psalm 139:

" Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; 24 And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting." Psalm 139:24

You can join us, any Sunday evening, at 10:00 p.m. EST by calling:

712-770-5350
Access Code: 150411#

WELCOME!

". . . and if My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

"Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to the prayer offered in this place."
(2 Chronicles 7:14,15)
