Our national call this Monday will be devoted to honoring the installation of the new Speaker of the House: Mike Johnson.

Our sister in Christ, and the founder of the Alabaster House, Kimberly Genau, will lead us in offering insights in the life of Speaker Johnson, bringing us prayer points to share as well. We know that we are all thrilled (and relieved!) that Mike Johnson has taken the gavel of Speaker of the House, and we want to offer our intercession as he now moves into his new role.

Also, before the end of our call, we will set aside time to review the day's breaking news out of Israel, offering continuing prayers for their successful war against Hamas.

Israel launches second ground incursion into Gaza, Hamas commander killed in airstrike

Israel launched a second brief incursion into Gaza overnight Thursday with ground troops supported by fighter jets and drones as the war against Hamas continues. IDF struck anti-tank missile launch sites, command and control centers and Hamas operatives, the military said. These ground incursions come ahead of an expected invasion of Gaza in a war that has already cost more than 8,000 people on both sides.

Prayer Points Suggested by Avner Boskey, Final Frontiers:
  • Pray for God’s strategies and leading regarding how to deal with Hezbollah, and for the God of Jacob to hold back regional war if possible, involving Hezbollah, Syria, Iran, Turkey, the Yemenite Houthis and other superpowers
Pray for revelation and clarity to be imparted by the God of Israel to the world intelligence community who have not yet understood what jihad is all about and are fogged as to how to deal with it decisively
  • Pray for the physical rescue of the at least 229 Israelis (including babies) kidnapped by Hamas
Pray for the raising up of Ezekiel’s prophetic Jewish army throughout the earth.
> > > Additional prayer point, with Scripture, from Intercessors for Israel:
  • Download Your plans to Israel to know how to battle Hamas despite the more than 200 hostages who are being used by them as human shields (Gen. 14:14-16 is in the Torah portion).

How Mike Johnson Became Speaker  'Through Prayer, Not Politics'
The unusual path of a Louisiana congressman, described as a man 'with no enemies,' who suddenly became Speaker of the House.

Eyebrows were raised when newly elected Speaker of the House Mike Johnson (R-La.) in his first address from the chair reminded the assembled Democratic and Republican members of the House of Representatives that the God of the Bible raised up each one of them for a purpose.

“I want to tell all my colleagues here what I told the Republicans in that room last night: I don’t believe there are any coincidences in a matter like this. I believe that scripture, the Bible, is very clear that God is the one that raises up those in authority. He raised up each of you. All of us. And I believe that God has allowed and ordained each and every one of us to be here at this specific moment,” the Louisiana Republican said.

“This is my belief. I believe that each one of us has a huge responsibility today to use the gifts God has given us to serve the extraordinary people of this great nation, and they deserve it.” (Epoch Times) Please read the whole article by going here.

- Lord God, we thank You for giving us Mike Johnson as the new Speaker of the House. We praise You for his God-ordained messages, both to the Congress and to the people of our land. May we receive the fresh wind of the Spirit that is now moving across our nation from this new leader, and may we all grasp this moment now with joy. In Your Name, amen and amen.

- "In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." (I Thess. 5:18)

Maine shooting suspect found dead
Maine shooting suspect found dead, ending
3-day manhunt

Law enforcement discovered the body of Robert Card, 40, on Friday, ending a three-day manhunt that followed a major mass shooting in the town of Lewiston.

Sen. Angus King, I-Maine, told the Bangor Daily News that authorities discovered Card's body near a recycling center where he previously worked. Card was a suspect in an incident that saw 18 people killed and 13 injured. Citing law enforcement sources, the Wall Street Journal reported that Card appeared to die of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The shooting saw the gunman open fire at two separate locations, Sparetime Recreation bowling alley and Schemengees Bar and Grill.

Card had not been seen since the Wednesday evening violence. The manhunt saw divers search the Androscoggin River after authorities discovered his vehicle parked near a boat launch.

The alleged gunman was a member of the U.S. Army Reserve and had previously reported mental health issues, according to CBS. He had claimed to hear voices and once threatened to open fire on a military base.
(Just the News) Read more here.

- Father God, now that the body of Robert Card has been found, we continue to ask comfort for those who mourn and healing for those still hospitalized. We are grateful that this tragic story has now come to an end, and we are most grateful for the first
responders and other law enforcement officials who brought this tragedy to a swift
end. In Your Name, Abba, we offer this prayer, amen and amen.

- "Pray without ceasing . . ."  (I Thess. 5:17)
End of week wrap up

By Gary Bauer; American Values
  • The IRS announced it is ending “most unannounced visits” to taxpayers’ homes after House Republicans exposed gross abuses of the program.
  • In a victory for religious liberty, a federal judge ruled that Colorado cannot ban a Christian school from the state’s universal preschool program simply because of the school’s religious beliefs.
  • Justice Clarence Thomas celebrated 32 years of service on the Supreme Court this week! Congratulations, Clarence!
- Father, this week we want to simply thank you, in Jesus' Name, for a clear, direct, exact, powerful, profound answer to prayer. Two weeks ago, we sought You, “Lord, raise up a ‘Ben Franklin moment’ among House Members, as our Nation had during its Constitutional Convention, to firmly put this Nation on a path of truly seeking You.” This week, not only did You deliver, You delivered so clearly that You should get all the glory.

In "his first one-on-one interview," Speaker Johnson and Sean Hannity were discussing the state of the country. Hannity asked, "Do you think this country's in decline?"

Speaker Johnson responded, after noting our history, "When the leaders here got in trouble that was beyond the scope of what they could solve themselves, individually or collectively, you know what they did? They sought divine guidance for it. We have 'In God We Trust' right above the rostrum there, and I pointed that out in my speech."

Hannity: "Is this the 'Ben Franklin moment'?"

Speaker Johnson: "It is a 'Ben Franklin moment'!"

Hannity: “—Constitutional Convention—”

Speaker Johnson: “Exactly right, it's the same thing and we're calling one another to humble ourselves and recognize that the challenges are so great. But that's where real opportunity is presented. I believe that God is not done with America yet, okay? I still believe in that motto. It's not just a quaint saying to me. It's what the Nation was founded upon, this belief, it's what distinguishes us from all these other communist, Marxist, socialist countries around the world. It's the key to our greatness, and we ought to appeal to that, and I believe if we do, that God is going to give us his favor, and I believe were going to solve these problems.”

- Father, we thank You for raising of a Speaker of the House who believes You are not done with America yet. We ask you to continue this work, give him and Your people in Congress great spine to stand up for You to firmly put this Nation on a path of truly seeking You in this difficult hour and in the days ahead.

- I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine making request for you all with joy, for your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ; just as it is right for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart, inasmuch as both in my chains and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel, you all are partakers with me of grace. For God is my witness, how greatly I long for you all with the affection of Jesus Christ. And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment, that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ, being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.” (Philippians 1:3-11)

Our Weekly Call to Repentance

CHPP Welcomes You to Join Us Every Week in One Hour of Repentance

Sunday evening at 10:00 p.m. EDT
Dial 717-908-1983
Access Code: 9301470#

Dear Saints,

A lifestyle of REPENTANCE is so close to the heart of God.

Indeed, He commands us to  "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!" Matthew 3:2

How, then, can we approach His Throne of GRACE, in repentance?

We invite you to join us every week on Sunday evening, as we explore this vital topic together. We present a different prayer focus each week, leading us into repentance, so that we might approach His Throne of Grace in repentance, presenting ourselves to Him as a pure and a spotless Bride, without spot or wrinkle. (Ephesians 5:27)

Praying together, we desire to fulfill the mandate of Psalm 139:

" Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; 24 And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting." Psalm 139:24

You can join us, any Sunday evening, at 10:00 p.m. EST by calling:

717-908-1983
Access Code: 9301470#

WELCOME!

". . . and if My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

"Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to the prayer offered in this place."
(2 Chronicles 7:14,15)
