China’s Increasing Aggression Is ‘Generational Challenge,’ Austin Says in Message to Armed Forces

The U.S. military must prepare to confront China and prevent its communist regime from reshaping the international order in its image, a new memo from the secretary of defense says. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin wrote that communist China seeks to force the international community to acquiesce to its authoritarian demands and must be stopped.

“An increasingly aggressive China is trying to shape the international rules-based system to suit its authoritarian preferences,” Austin wrote in a March 2 message to the U.S. Armed Forces. “This is a generational challenge, and the Department will rise to meet it. “To do so, we must embrace integrated deterrence, which charges us to coordinate our efforts across all war-fighting domains, theaters, and the spectrum of conflict to create new and more complex dilemmas for our adversaries.”

The U.S. National Defense Strategy labels China’s communist regime as the “pacing challenge” to the United States, and asserts that the regime is the only power on earth with both the will and capability to reshape the rules-based international order. To that end, Austin wrote that the U.S. military would need to strengthen its posture in the Indo-Pacific and work with allies to more adequately deter Chinese communist aggression in the South and East China Seas and against Taiwan.

“We are strengthening our deterrence posture in the Indo-Pacific by developing new concepts and capabilities, deepening our alliances and partnerships, and expanding our activities and operations,” Austin wrote. “Implementing our strategy means tackling the pacing challenge from [China] while also confronting the acute threat of Russian aggression and managing the risk of escalation as Putin’s cruel war against Ukraine enters a second year.” (Epoch Times) Read more here.

- Thank You, Lord, that the Secretary of Defense is speaking truth
to the U.S. Armed Forces about the true danger that China now poses against our people. May all take heed, and do whatever is required to see that the strength of this giant enemy is deterred, and to ensure that our own military receives all the resources it needs to be able to defend our nation from ALL enemies. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen and amen.

- "“Again
I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven." (Matthew 18:19)

Senate Unanimously Passes Bill to Declassify COVID-19 Wuhan Lab Leak Intelligence

The U.S. Senate on March 1 unanimously passed a bill requiring the Biden administration to declassify intelligence related to the origins of COVID-19. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) made a request for unanimous consent of the bill, which was granted “without objection.” Unanimous consent enables a bill to pass without a recorded vote if no senator objects.

The bill, known as the COVID-19 Origin Act of 2023, specifically aims to investigate the possibility that the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which causes COVID-19, leaked from a lab in Wuhan, China.

Sens. Mike Braun (R-Ind.) and Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) reintroduced the bill on Monday after the Department of Energy (DOE) provided a classified intelligence report to the White House and certain members of Congress, which concluded that the COVID-19 pandemic most likely arose from a lab leak. The FBI had previously come to a similar conclusion.

“Tonight the Senate UNANIMOUSLY passed my bill to declassify all the intelligence the government has on #covid origins. Let the people see the truth!” Hawley wrote on Twitter.

In further comments during an appearance on Fox News’ “Jesse Watters Primetime,” Hawley cited the importance of transparency and accountability in allowing the public to understand the origins of the pandemic. Hawley told Watters that the bill needs to pass in the House of Representatives, “and then we can get this thing done.”

The bill would require Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines to declassify the information in the U.S. government’s possession on the most likely origins of COVID-19. (Epoch Times) Read more here.

- Thank You, Lord, for this strong move of UNITY in the Senate chamber! We now ask for passage of this bill in the House so that all can be told to the American people about the most likely origins of COVID-19. Praise the Lord! Amen!

- "Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!"    (Psalm 150:6)

Midshipmen warn left-wing politics are infiltrating Merchant Marine Academy: 'Last frontier for woke ideology'
Multiple midshipmen claimed 'woke' ideology has worsened under Secretary Buttigieg's leadership

Multiple current and former midshipmen at the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, New York, told Fox News Digital that "woke" ideology has been seeping into the school in recent years and has accelerated under the leadership of Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg.

The highly selective USMMA, which is the only military academy authorized to carry a battle standard because of its 142 casualties during World War II, is under the Department of Transportation and educates leaders "who are inspired to serve the national security, marine transportation, and economic needs of the United States," according to its website.

One current senior midshipman said he was "really excited" to attend the USMMA because it seemed the academy was "totally immune from anything political," but he noted much has been changing since he has been there.

"We had no discussions on race; we had no discussions on diversity, equity and inclusion," the midshipman said of when his USMMA career began in 2019. "It was just us as merchant mariners getting together very well, and we have our own very individualistic culture." (Fox News) Read much more here.

- Father God, in describing the climate on this campus at this time, one of the students stated, "It's almost like we're the last frontier for woke ideology," We ask that You would strengthen these young, conservative cadets in the inner man, that they be able to withstand the pressures of woke ideology on the campus of the Merchant Marine Academy. Amen.

- "That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man . . ." (Eph. 3:16)

Tornadoes, Wind Leave 1 Million+ Power Outages; At Least 3 People Dead In Severe Weather

At least three people were killed as severe weather including tornadoes, flooding and high winds marched across more than a dozen states from Thursday night into Friday evening.

One death is being blamed on flooding in Scott County in western Arkansas, according to the sheriff's office there. Another was caused by a falling tree in Talladega, Alabama, the Associated Press reported. The third was confirmed by Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves.

Homes and businesses were damaged or destroyed and more than a million were left without power as the storms moved from Texas and spread north into Michigan and Pennsylvania and east to the Atlantic coast.

Here are our updates from Friday. (The Weather Channel) Read much more by going here.

- Lord God, we lift up those who are still in the path of this dangerous storm system, that they would be protected from its devastation. We ask that You comfort those who mourn the dead; and bring Your grace to bear upon those who are working, even now, to restore power to more than one million people in the wake of this storm. Amen.

- "For He shall give His angels charge over you,
To keep you in all your ways.
" (Psalm 91:11)

Crawford asked if now, during the Biden Administration, there is data to support the rule. (Full Transcript, Docs)

CHPP Welcomes You to Join Us Every Week in One Hour of Repentance

Sunday evening at 10:00 p.m. EDT

Access Code: 9301470#

Dear Saints,

A lifestyle of REPENTANCE is so close to the heart of God.

Indeed, He commands us to  "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!" Matthew 3:2

How, then, can we approach His Throne of GRACE, in repentance?

We invite you to join us every week on Sunday evening, as we explore this vital topic together. We present a different prayer focus each week, leading us into repentance, so that we might approach His Throne of Grace in repentance, presenting ourselves to Him as a pure and a spotless Bride, without spot or wrinkle. (Ephesians 5:27)

Praying together, we desire to fulfill the mandate of Psalm 139:

" Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; 24 And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting." Psalm 139:24

You can join us, any Sunday evening, at 10:00 p.m. EST by calling:

717-908-1983
Access Code: 9301470#

WELCOME!

". . . and if My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

"Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to the prayer offered in this place."
(2 Chronicles 7:14,15)
