Iran nuclear talks screech to a halt amid new Russian demands
Russia stunts nuclear talks with Iran and demands sanction relief amid war in Ukraine

Months-long talks with Iran to revive the 2015 nuclear deal hit a snag Friday after Russia demanded sanctions imposed on Moscow for its war in Ukraine be excluded from Tehran dealings.

A source with knowledge of the discussions told Fox News that the Russian delegation upended final-hour negotiations by demanding sanction immunity for any future trade with Iran.

President Biden made it a top priority of his administration to reinstate the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) after the U.S. abandoned the plan under former President Trump in 2018. JCPOA member nations like the U.K.FranceGermany and the EU warned against the move and urged Iran to continue its existing commitments to the deal.

But by 2019 Tehran argued the deal was moot due to crippling sanctions imposed by the U.S. and began redeveloping its nuclear program.

JCPOA member nations, including top U.S. adversaries like China and Russia, backed the administration’s push to re-establish the nuclear deal last year.

But nuclear talks with Tehran have proven to be slow, and White House officials have repeatedly warned Iranian counterparts that time is running out to find a solution. Iran has now called on the White House to remove its military branch, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, from the Foreign Terrorist Organizations list – a step that Biden has been unwilling to take, Fox News is told.  (Fox News) Read more.

Bennett advises Zelensky to surrender to Russia, Zelensky refuses

Prime Minister Naftali Bennett told Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenksy that he recommends Ukraine take the offer made by Russian President Vladimir Putin to end the war - which includes many Ukrainian sacrifices - in a phone call on Tuesday, according to an official in Ukraine's government. According to the official, Zelenksy did not take Bennett's advice.

The source claimed that the phone call was initiated by Bennett. "If I were you, I would think about the lives of my people and take the offer," Bennett reportedly said.

Zelenksy's response was short. "I hear you," he said.

Congress gets up close view of 'horrific' Russia-Ukraine war
Makes you want 'to break down in tears'

A bipartisan group of lawmakers recounted harrowing scenes from the Ukraine border after witnessing the humanitarian crisis of refugees fleeing the war into Poland.

Rep. Gregory Meeks, D-N.Y., the chair of the House Foreign Affairs Committee organized the trip last weekend to see firsthand the aftermath of Russian President Vladimir Putin's all-out war on Ukraine and its civilians.  "It's just horrific," Meeks told Fox News Digital of the scenes at the Poland-Ukraine border. "It made me and a number of others almost want to break down in tears."

The members of Congress saw scores of cold women and children crossing to Poland, having to abruptly leave their peaceful lives and their belongings to flee for safety in a neighboring country. They witnessed "heartbreaking" goodbyes at the border where men aged 18-60 had to return to Ukraine to fight for freedom, while their families sought refuge in Poland.

As chair of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, Meeks travels the world. He said he was last in Ukraine less than a month ago – just before Russia's invasion. Seeing the peaceful, sovereign country suddenly under assault by Putin's forces moved Meeks to organize the trip along with the top Republican on the committee, Rep. Michael McCaul, R-Texas. "I couldn't sleep at night," Meeks said of images of destruction he saw from the news reports of war. "I decided that I had a responsibility as the chair of this committee to go, and I went to Mr. McCaul and he felt the same way."

Other members on the trip to the Ukraine border were Rep. Victoria Spartz, R-Ind.; David Cicilline, D-R.I.; Brian Fitzpatrick, R-Pa.; Raul Ruiz, D-Calif.; Susan Wild, D-Pa.; and Gerry Connolly, D-Va. (Fox News)

- Lord God, we thank You that the tears of these children reached the hearts of these legislators. We ask that these members of Congress would not "lose the moment," but would instead bring this tender reality back into the Halls of Congress, as policy is set in place to help the people of Ukraine. Thank You, O Lord, for Your marvelous ways among men. In Your Name, amen.

" A little child will lead them." (Isaiah 11:6)
In Context: Blinded by a searing hot iron
A United States Senator gave a speech on the Senate floor this week in which, except for the specific mentions of the concern and statistics he was citing, he said, “The death of a child is an unspeakable loss. There is no way to calculate it, and if you haven't lived through it, I don't think any of us can understand what some families have lived through. Yet in America, the most powerful Nation on the Earth, in less than [___] years, more than [___] children have been killed by [___], and that number is the reported fatality number. Compounding the grief and loss that these families experience is the fact that these deaths might have been prevented.” (Full original speech text)

Those of us who have worked on pro-life advocacy for years could use exactly that language to describe the unspeakable loss of children who have died because of abortion.

Politicians across the political spectrum frequently speak about children and the need to protect them, including as recently as this week. This isn't new, which is why almost all news organizations ignored Senator Casey's speech,
except for one. Yet, the inconsistency in compassion for children born and unborn persists.

There's a reason for this: blindness.

To be clear, for those who believe human life only begins with a first breath, the shedding of innocent blood in the womb
is not God's idea. He hates the shedding of innocent blood (Proverbs 6:16-19), and abortion at any stage by any method sheds innocent blood.

The blindness in the Senate became even more vivid when Senator Hirono
spoke on the floor the next legislative day to recognize Abortion Provider Appreciation Day and honor as “compassionate, credentialed, and highly trained professionals” those who take hundreds of dollars from young women and their abusers every week in exchange for the violent destruction of their children they carry.

While Democrats in Washington control both the legislative and executive Branches of government, thankfully they have not been able to expand Federal abortion funding. Pro-life protections were
retained in the large spending bill passed this week and the Violence Against Women Act was reauthorized without problematic provisions they had previously attempted to add. This is something to celebrate and for which to thank God. This is also not the end.

We need to pray for our Senators, that their spiritual blindness would be lifted, and that tools the adversary uses to cause that blindness like the searing hot iron of money would be removed.

Father, we ask that you would open the eyes of the blind. May they not perish, but may they see your will for the unborn and Your reason for having every one of the Senators in the United States Senate at this time. Raise up a strong defense of the unborn. Turn our Nation away from choosing a path of destruction for itself. May we no longer be content with the status quo, but may we see Your purposes in no longer allowing America to be on the fence or trying to have things both ways on abortion. May You purge this land of this wickedness.

“We have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness nor handling the word of God deceitfully, but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.” (2 Corinthians 4:2)

Dear Saints,

A lifestyle of REPENTANCE is so close to the heart of God.

How, then, can we approach His Throne of GRACE, in repentance?

We invite you to join us every week on Sunday evening, as we explore this vital topic together. We present a different prayer focus each week, leading us into repentance, so that we might approach His Throne of Grace in repentance, presenting ourselves to Him as a pure and a spotless Bride, without spot or wrinkle. (Ephesians 5:27)

Praying together, we desire to fulfill the mandate of Psalm 139:

" Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; 24 And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting." Psalm 139:24

You can join us, any Sunday evening, at 10:00 p.m. EST by calling:

WELCOME!

". . . and if My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

"Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to the prayer offered in this place."
(2 Chronicles 7:14,15)
