Under the Cross of Christ" Today's Top Story: Tucker Carlson answers critics of Capitol video: Leaders who ‘double down’ on Jan. 6 ‘lies’ are ‘sociopaths’  (LifeSiteNews) – In a Wednesday night broadcast, Fox News host Tucker Carlson responded to a multitude of media and political elites who “came out swinging” in response to his exposing several significant Democrat “lies” regarding the January 6, 2021 disturbance at the U.S. Capitol. Carlson and his team were given access to over 40,000 hours of that day’s surveillance footage courtesy of new Republican Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy. The Democrats with their previous majority had kept these tapes under lock and key, releasing only the clips they wanted viewed by the public. The highly popular television host began his remarks by contrasting the difference between “people who tell the truth” and “liars” who “are touchy, sometimes to the point of hysteria” while also being “weak and afraid” of their lies being exposed. And when they are caught lying, they have two choices, they can either admit it, apologize, and move on, or as has happened here with certain congressional leaders and legacy media outlets, “they exploded in rage. And then as liars tend to do, they doubled down. They told the same lies they’d been caught telling, but with even greater aggression this time.” “Who acts like that? Well, sociopaths do, and in this case the sociopaths turned out to be both Democrats and Republicans. Thank you.  The Right to be Left Alone -- When the Government Wants to Know All Your Business  The American Community Survey (ACS), sent to about 3.5 million homes every year, is the byproduct of a government that believes it has the right to know all of your personal business. If you haven’t already received an ACS, it’s just a matter of time. A far cry from the traditional census, which is limited to ascertaining the number of persons living in each dwelling, their ages and ethnicities, the ownership of the dwelling and telephone numbers, the ACS contains some of the most detailed and intrusive questions ever put forth in a census questionnaire. At 28 pages (with an additional 16-page instruction packet), these questions concern matters that the government simply has no business knowing, including questions relating to respondents’ bathing habits, home utility costs, fertility, marital history, work commute, mortgage, and health insurance, among other highly personal and private matters. For instance, the ACS asks how many persons live in your home, along with their names and detailed information about them such as their relationship to you, marital status, race and their physical, mental and emotional problems, etc. The survey also asks how many bedrooms and bathrooms you have in your house, along with the fuel used to heat your home, the cost of electricity, what type of mortgage you have and monthly mortgage payments, property taxes and so on. We thank You, Lord, for Your mighty protection over our lives, as we turn to You in repentance. - "Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we will remember the Name of the Lord our God."  (Psalm 20:7)  Iran and Saudi Arabia restore ties after years of tensions DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) — Iran and Saudi Arabia on Friday agreed to reestablish diplomatic relations and reopen embassies after years of tensions between the two countries, including a devastating attack on the heart of the kingdom’s oil production attributed to Tehran. The deal, struck in Beijing this week amid its ceremonial National People’s Congress, represents a major diplomatic victory for the Chinese as Gulf states perceive the United States slowly withdrawing from the wider Middle East. It also comes as diplomats have been trying to end a yearslong war in Yemen, a conflict in which both Iran and Saudi Arabia are deeply entrenched. The two countries released a joint communique with China on the deal, which apparently brokered the agreement. Chinese state media did not immediately report on the deal. By aligning with Saudi Arabia, their two governments will now establish a quiet "show of force" in this region. The word "oil" also comes to mind, as both of these nations are major producers of the world's supply of oil. And to make matters worse, according to this report, it is China that has "brokered" this deal -- again, not one of our friends, for sure. Lord God, we bring before Your Throne of Grace the "oil" of the Holy Spirit, as well as the Blood of Jesus, and we decree that, as we ask, You will "dissolve" any agreements among the nations of the Middle East, as well as China, that are not in Your will to do so.
