Republican calls to impeach Biden grow following release of FBI document detailing bribery allegations

Republicans immediately began lashing out at President Biden Thursday following the release of an unclassified FBI document detailing his alleged involvement in an international bribery scheme, with a number rallying for his impeachment.

Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, released the FD-1023 form earlier in the day which detailed how Biden, along with his son, Hunter Biden, allegedly "coerced" Burisma CEO Mykola Zlochevsky to pay them millions of dollars in exchange for their help in getting the Ukrainian prosecutor investigating the company fired.

"Most corrupt family to ever live in the White House! Impeach!" Rep. Jim Banks, R-Ind., wrote on Twitter, while Rep. Lauren Boebert, R-Colo., wrote, "Read and understand just how deep the corruption goes. Biden should be thrown out of office. Impeach!"

Former Arizona gubernatorial candidate and conservative firebrand Kari Lake suggested the president was guilty of "extortion" and "treason" in addition to bribery, and claimed former President Donald Trump was impeached for Biden's "crimes." (Fox News) Read more here.

- Lord God, we stand in agreement with the millions of Americans tonight, who are asking that the truth will be fully uncovered regarding this scheme. Father God, if the president has violated the Constitution in these actions, we ask that he be impeached. In Your Name, Holy One, Amen.

- "Ask and you shall receive . . ." (Matthew 21:22)
Netanyahu Issues Warning

Netanyahu Warns:

Israel Is on the Brink of a Military Coup

On Thursday night, a pale Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu delivered an eight-minute speech to the nation about the crisis we are in  One line in the speech struck me as a Salvador Allende cry for help, bringing to mind a long list of democratically-elected rulers, often by a significant majority, who were crushed by military uprisings. The line was:

“When elements in the military try – with threats – to dictate policy to the government, this is unacceptable in any democracy, and if they succeed in dictating their threats, this is the end of genuine democracy.”

I never voted for Bibi, and I’ve been critical of his zigzagging and his chronic failures to keep promises. But I always trusted his steadfastness and resilience, his ability to come up on top many more times than not in his more than two decades in government.

I’ve never seen him anguished and afraid. Until Thursday night. In that key line, Bibi was not talking about the anarchists, nor about pilots who refuse to show up for their reserve service. He was pointing to “elements in the military,” the colonels who have taken over democratic countries, taking advantage of political crises, in Turkey, Greece, and Chile, under the guise of “saving democracy.”

The military coup has one mastermind, devoting enormous amounts of money, in the hundreds of millions, to push hordes of dedicated Israelis who remind me of the zombie armies in a Hollywood movie with their incessant cries of “Busha, busha,” their annoying zambooras, and the fact that 99% of them wouldn’t be able to explain what’s a reasonability clause, never mind explain how it would destroy democracy as we know it.

The mastermind is Ehud Barak, a narcissist who imagines Jewish bodies floating in the Yarkon River as the opening scene for his glorious return to power. We have the video.(The Jewish Press) Read more here.

  • God of Israel, rebuke the demonic spirits invading Israel today as seen in the hatred and rebellion of a minority of Israelis against the government and its actions (1 Sam. 15:23aProv. 8:16Zech. 3:2).

  • Warn the leaders of this rebellion that they are doing that which You hate (Prov. 6:16-19).

In Context: Understanding “Culture War”
What exactly is the culture war? How did it start? How is it won?

A simple answer is the culture war is over the moral corruption of the culture. Of course, that corruption is rarely directly called “corruption” by those pushing it. Instead, it is deceptively masked misusing terms such as freedom and identity. It also doesn't come in quickly. It happens very slow at first over decades. Eventually, “a little leaven leavens the whole lump.”

Corruption is hard to root out, because it involves restraining that which is not restrained and has not been restrained for some time. The flesh and the heart naturally grow more corrupt, and the world in which we live will naturally feed that corruption.

Government, acting correctly within the purposes God has given it, punishes those who do evil. This restrains the flesh, and that in part, not completely, restrains evil in the heart of man.

Government, acting corruptly and at war with the purposes God has given it, accelerates evil and corruption. For example: praising “one of the largest and most impressive LGBTQ Pride parades in the world” during a Joint Meeting of Congress this week.

Those who go up against a government that is calling evil good and good evil are said to be at war with the culture. It's not a war they started, but the confrontation is only seen once they take a stand.

Last week, the House took a stand on rooting out distractions to what's needed to “provide for the common defense” in passing the NDAA. This week, as the Senate began considering its version of the bill for the same purpose, Leader Schumer decried the “toxic” and “wildly partisan” amendments “that have nothing to do with defense.” What has “nothing to do with defense” are those DOD corrupting actions the House is trying to stop.

One Senator taking a stand is Senator Tuberville from Alabama. As he sees it, if the military facilitates cutting off unborn children being promoted from the womb, then no one in the military gets a promotion from the Senate either.

There are other such battles ahead in the annual defense bill. The House has taken a stand, knowing the firestorm that will create. They are on the front lines in this fight. Some say they had better reject the corruption “if they want praise.” A more humble approach is to provide reinforcements. We need to lift them up in prayer, ask God to fight on behalf of all those fighting corruption.

A necessary restraint on evil in the heart of man is the Word of God. Another way to provide reinforcements is for Bible teachers to proclaim the Word and what it says about the world, the flesh, the role of government, and the heart.

For additional insight on the moral state of our culture, consider:

Democratic priorities introduced this week: Republican priorities introduced this week:
Father, we know our Nation has drifted far from You. We need You to be our Anchor. We ask You to help Members of Congress hold the line on these moral issues in our land.

“You shall walk after the LORD your God and fear Him, and keep His commandments and obey His voice; you shall serve Him and hold fast to Him” (Deuteronomy 13:4; Joshua 22:5; 23:8)

CHPP Welcomes You to Join Us Every Week in One Hour of Repentance

Sunday evening at 10:00 p.m. EDT
Dial 717-908-1983
Access Code: 9301470#

Dear Saints,

A lifestyle of REPENTANCE is so close to the heart of God.

Indeed, He commands us to  "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!" Matthew 3:2

How, then, can we approach His Throne of GRACE, in repentance?

We invite you to join us every week on Sunday evening, as we explore this vital topic together. We present a different prayer focus each week, leading us into repentance, so that we might approach His Throne of Grace in repentance, presenting ourselves to Him as a pure and a spotless Bride, without spot or wrinkle. (Ephesians 5:27)

Praying together, we desire to fulfill the mandate of Psalm 139:

" Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; 24 And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting." Psalm 139:24

You can join us, any Sunday evening, at 10:00 p.m. EST by calling:

717-908-1983
Access Code: 9301470#

WELCOME!

". . . and if My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

"Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to the prayer offered in this place."
(2 Chronicles 7:14,15)
