Trump: Not Guilty

Trump acquitted in second impeachment trial on charge of inciting Jan. 6 Capitol riot

Former President Trump was acquitted in an unprecedented second impeachment trial on the charge of inciting an insurrection for the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, making him the first and only president to impeached and acquitted twice in history.

A majority of senators found Trump guilty on Saturday in a 57-43 vote, but the number fell short of the supermajority needed to convict the president. The seven GOP senators who joined with all Democrats in finding Trump guilty were: Sens. Richard Burr of North Carolina, Bill Cassidy of Louisiana, Susan Collins of Maine, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, Mitt Romney of Utah, Ben Sasse of Nebraska and Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania.

Sen. Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., who presided over the trial announced the vote fell short of the two-thirds majority need and therefore Trump is "hereby acquitted of the charge."

The acquittal means that as of now Trump can leave the door open to another White House bid in 2024 . . .

Trump praised the victory, thanked his supporters and promised he'd soon emerge with a "vision for a bright, radiant, and limitless American future."

The former president, who has largely stayed silent since his impeachment, took aim at his opponents.

"This has been yet another phase of the greatest witch hunt in the history of our country," Trump said. "No president has ever gone through anything like it, and it continues because our opponents cannot forget the almost 75 million people, the highest number ever for a sitting president, who voted for us just a few short months ago." (Read more)

- Father God we thank You that, once again, the righteous has been vindicated. In Your Name, we shout HALLELUJAH! Amen and amen!

"When my enemies turn back,
They shall fall and perish at Your presence.
For You have maintained my right and my cause;
You sat on the throne judging in righteousness."

2/15/2021-2/22/2021: A Time of Repentance for Capitol Hill

BEGINING ON PRESIDENT'S DAY: FEBRUARY 15, 2021
AND ENDING ON WASHINGTON'S BIRTHDAY: FEBRUARY 22, 2021

A GLOBAL TIME OF REPENTANCE FOR CAPITOL HILL

Dear Friends,

Recent events on Capitol Hill have made one thing very clear: it is time to repent for the many sins over the ages that have been committed on that site, asking for God's merciful hand of forgiveness and for cleansing to visit and to renew the spirit that abides on the Hill.

From the time that President George Washington set the cornerstone in place in 1793, ushering in the construction of the Capitol building with Masonic rituals, until today's events, it is clear that obedience to the command of the Word of God in repentance is our only hope of "starting over" and welcoming in a new day of truth, justice and righteousness to rule on the Hill.

Please join us in the spirit of unity during the week ahead, in your own prayer closet, in seeking His face in fasting, prayers and repentance that all sin on the Hill be washed away by God's mercy.

Our Weekly Call to Repentance

warriors.png

Dear Saints,

A lifestyle of REPENTANCE is so close to the heart of God.

Indeed, He commands us to " "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!" (Matthew 3:2)

How, then, can we approach His Throne of GRACE, in repentance?

We invite you to join us every week on Sunday evening, as we explore this vital topic together. We present a different prayer focus each week, leading us into repentance, so that we might approach His Throne of Grace in repentance, presenting ourselves to Him as a pure and a spotless Bride, without spot or wrinkle. (Ephesians 5:27)

Praying together, we desire to fulfill the mandate of Psalm 139:

" Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; 24 And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting." (Psalm 139:24)

You can join us, any Sunday evening, at 10:00 p.m. EST by calling:

712-770-5350
Access Code: 150411#

WELCOME!

". . . and if My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

"Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to the prayer offered in this place."
 (2 Chronicles 7:14,15)
