WELCOME!

A GLOBAL TIME OF REPENTANCE FOR CAPITOL HILL

BEGINING ON PRESIDENT'S DAY: FEBRUARY 15, 2021
ENDING ON WASHINGTON'S BIRTHDAY: FEBRUARY 22, 2021

Dear Friends,

Recent events on Capitol Hill have made one thing very clear: it is time to repent for the many sins over the ages that have been committed on that site, asking for God's merciful hand of forgiveness and for cleansing to visit and to renew the spirit that abides on the Hill.

From the time that President George Washington set the cornerstone in place in 1793, ushering in the construction of the Capitol building with Masonic rituals, until today's events, it is clear that obedience to the command of the Word of God in repentance is our only hope of "starting over" and welcoming in a new day of truth, justice and righteousness to rule on the Hill.

Please join us in the spirit of unity during the week ahead, in your own prayer closet, in seeking His face in fasting, prayers and repentance that all sin on the Hill be washed away by God's mercy.

Former Capitol Police Chief Blows Hole in Dems Case Against Trump

Former Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund wrote an 8-page letter detailing the events that occurred at the Capitol on January 6. In the letter addressed to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Sund’s timeline of events seems to directly refute the Democrats’ claim that the insurrection on Capitol Hill was incited by a speech given by President Donald Trump on the same day. The Democrats’ entire impeachment case against Trump rests solely on the assumption that his speech caused the disturbing events that unfolded inside the Capitol as a joint session of Congress met to certify the electoral votes of the 2020 Presidential Election.

Sund adds, “I also wish we had better intelligence and warnings as the possibility of this type of military-style armed insurrection. The entire intelligence community seems to have missed this.” Recently, there have been reports claiming that President Trump had offered ten thousand National Guard troops to be in DC on January 6th, but those offers went ignored. According to former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, “That accountability needs to rest where it ultimately should be and that’s on Capitol Hill.”

Former Chief Sund adds in his letter that many in the crowd that overtook the Capitol “were wearing radio earpieces indicating a high level of coordination,” while several others carried “weapons, chemical munitions, protective equipment, explosives and climbing gear.” These statements call into question the statements from the Democrats where they say the attack was spontaneous and caused by the words President Trump spoke that day, despite his call that supporters “peacefully and patriotically” make their voices heard by members of Congress.

Sund’s letter . . .  states that the crowd of coordinated attackers breached the Capitol line of security at 12:52 PM, stating in his letter, “We were monitoring the actions and demeanor of the crowd, which at the time did not raise any concerns, when we received word at 12:52 p.m. that a pipe bomb had been located at the Republican National Committee headquarters . . .. At almost the exactly same time, we observed a large group of individuals approaching the West Front of the Capitol. The timing of the breach, 12:52 PM, is notable because President Trump did not conclude his speech until about 1:13 PM, making it impossible that the group that breached the Capitol did so under the former president’s direction. The fact that President Trump’s speech was given about 20-30 minutes’ walking distance from the Capitol makes it even less likely that his words caused the insurrection.

Sund’s letter also states that the Capitol Police’s past experiences with “MAGA” rallies at the Capitol were handled successfully and peacefully with few if any, arrests or injuries. You may access the full letter from former Chief Sund here.

- Father God, we thank You that the former Capitol Hill Chief of Police has provided solid evidence in an eight-page document testifying to the facts of what actually has occurred on January 6th on Capitol Hill. Lord God, the facts speak for themselves; President Trump is NOT GUILTY of fomenting the riots that ensued.

Furthermore, dear Lord, it seems that a hidden agenda was in place, ready to unfold on that day, to set up President Trump and to make it seem that he WAS responsible for the riot that took place. We cast down and bind the spirit of deception off of Capitol Hill and, as we stand in repentance next week for the sins that have happened on the Hill over the centuries, we do thank You that You do forgive, cleanse and heal.

In Your Name,

Amen

1. Iran’s Army Test Fires ‘Smart’ Short-Range Missile - Jewish Press

Iran’s armed forces test-fired a sophisticated new short-range missile on Sunday, the country’s official Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) reported.

General Kioumars Heidari was quoted in the report as saying the missile’s range was 300 kilometers (186 miles). He added that the “smart” missile is capable of working under “any weather condition.”

However, he did not disclose where the test took place.

It is the Iranian armed forces who maintain control over the country’s short-range missiles, according to the ABC News network. (Read more)

2. Israeli National Security Adviser Holds Second Phone Call With US Counterpart Over Iran - Algemeiner

i24 News – Israel’s national security adviser held a second phone call with his American counterpart, with regional security issues being the main focus of the conversation, the White House confirmed on Friday.

The call between Meir Ben-Shabbat and Jake Sullivan took place on a secure line on Thursday and senior security officials from both countries also participated, the Walla news site reported.

The call came shortly after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s appointment of Meir Ben-Shabbat as the main interlocutor for Iran negotiations with the United States and other major powers, the site said.

Ben-Shabbat is expected to convene a team in the coming days to determine Israel’s strategy in talks with the Biden administration, while Washington has said it is ready to renew the Iranian nuclear agreement signed in Vienna in 2015, a commitment that the Jewish state fears. (Read more)

3. Syria claims Israel attacked near Damascus - Israel National News

Syrian air defense intercepted "Israeli aggression" over Damascus on Sunday night, Syrian state television reported.

The Syrian Ministry of Defense said that shortly after 1:00 a.m., Israel launched missiles from the Golan Heights and the Galilee at several targets in the area of the Syrian capital.

According to the ministry, most of the missiles were intercepted.

Earlier this month, the Syrian news agency SANA reported that Israel attacked targets in southern Syria.

According to the report, Syria's air defenses responded to "an Israeli aggression" over the region. (Read more)

4. UAE appoints ambassador to Israel - Israel National News

The United Arab Emirates on Sunday announced the official appointment of an ambassador to Israel.

The envoy is Mohammed Mahmoud Al Khajah, a senior Foreign Ministry official who was sworn in before Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

Avi Berkowitz, who until recently served as head of the Trump administration's peace team, responded to the appointment and tweeted, “It's hard to express the joy this brings to me and the team - led by President Trump and Jared Kushner - that worked on the Abraham Accords - thank you to the UAE for leading the way.”

In the last few months since the signing of the normalization agreement between Israel and the UAE, agreements have been signed in a number of areas, but a high-level exchange of diplomats has not yet taken place in practice. (Read more)

5. UAE’s first ambassador to Israel sworn in by Emirati PM - Times of Israel

United Arab Emirates Prime Minister Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum on Sunday swore in his country’s first ambassador to the State of Israel, Mohammad Mahmoud Al Khajah.

It was not immediately clear when Mohamed Alkhaja will arrive in Israel to take up his post.

In late January, Israel officially opened its embassy to the UAE as Ambassador Eitan Na’eh arrived in Abu Dhabi. The same day the UAE approved the opening of its embassy in Tel Aviv.

The two countries normalized ties last September, with the signing of the so-called Abraham Accords at the White House in Washington in a deal brokered by then-US president Donald Trump’s administration. Bahrain also joined the accords, establishing ties with Israel.

Avi Berkowitz, a former assistant to Trump, and who helped shape the accords welcomed Al Khajah’s appointment. “It’s hard to express the joy this brings to me and the team – led by President Trump and Jared Kushner – that worked on the Abraham Accords – thank you to the UAE for leading the way,” Berkowitz tweeted. (Read more)

1. 7 Republicans Join Democrats in Voting to Convict Former President Trump - The Epoch Times

Seven GOP senators on Saturday joined 50 Democrats in voting to convict former President Donald Trump on an article of impeachment, though the vote fell short and Trump was acquitted.

Sens. Richard Burr (R-N.C.), Susan Collins (R-Maine), Bill Cassidy (R-La.), Mitt Romney (R-Utah), Ben Sasse (R-Neb.), Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska), and Pat Toomey (R-Pa.) voted to convict Trump in a charge of incitement of insurrection.

“I listened to the arguments on both sides I thought the arguments in favor of conviction were much stronger,” Toomey told reporters after the vote. “Our Constitution and our country is more important than any one person. I voted to convict President Trump because he is guilty,” Cassidy, who has been censured by his party for his anti-Trump votes, added in a video statement.

Romney, a longtime Trump critic, said he carefully considered arguments from the House impeachment managers and Trump’s legal team before concluding the former president was guilty. “President Trump incited the insurrection against Congress by using the power of his office to summon his supporters to Washington on January 6th and urging them to march on the Capitol during the counting of electoral votes. He did this despite the obvious and well known threats of violence that day,” he said.

Sen. John Thune (R-S.D.), the Senate minority whip, told reporters that he wasn’t surprised by the number of Republicans who voted to convict. “I think most people staked out their positions earlier. So it was, I think kind of what most people expected,” he said.

Eight other Republicans had indicated they were open to convicting Trump or had not ruled it out, but ultimately voted to acquit. (Read more)

- O righteous Father, we pray that the former friends of Donald Trump who failed to support him herein, will face the same fate from their own supposed friends. In Jesus' Name we pray.

2. Seven Republican Senators Who Voted to Convict Trump Face Backlash From Within Party - The Epoch Times

The seven Republican senators who called former President Donald Trump guilty of inciting an insurrection are already facing backlash from within the GOP, where Trump remains a popular figure. The Louisiana GOP’s Executive Committee unanimously voted to censure Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-La.) over his vote, the party said in a brief statement. The state party had said earlier this week that it was “profoundly disappointed” when Cassidy sided with five other Republicans and all Democrats in the upper chamber to declare the trial constitutional.

Sen. Richard Burr (R-N.C.), another guilty vote, was condemned by the North Carolina Republican Party. “North Carolina Republicans sent Senator Burr to the United States Senate to uphold the Constitution and his vote today to convict in a trial that he declared unconstitutional is shocking and disappointing,” North Carolina GOP Chairman Michael Whatley said in a statement.

Pennsylvania GOP Chairman Lawrence Tabas noted how Sen. Pat Toomey (R-Pa.) voted to convict Trump. “I share the disappointment of many of our grassroots leaders and volunteers over Senator Toomey’s vote today,” Tabas said in a statement. “The vote to acquit was the constitutionally correct outcome.”

The other four Republicans who sided with Democrats were Sens. Mitt Romney (R-Utah), Susan Collins (R-Maine), Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska), and Ben Sasse (R-Neb.). The group of Republicans who called Trump guilty were praised by Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.). Speaking on the Senate floor following the vote, he described them as “Republican patriots.” The votes could have repercussions in 2022 for Murkowski, who is up for re-election. (Read more)

- O righteous Father, we thank You for exposing these eight Republican turn-coat senators.  Their actions as a traitor validates their worth in politics.  In Jesus' Name we pray.
"An unjust man is an abomination to the just: and he that is upright in the way is abomination to the wicked."  (Proverbs 29:27)

3. If 'Fight Like Hell' Constitutes Incitement, Every Political Candidate in America Is Guilty: Sen. Cruz
- The Epoch Times

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) on the third day of the impeachment trial criticized House managers for failing to show how former President Donald Trump “incited” the Jan. 6 breach of the U.S. Capitol.

Cruz said that while the House managers’ presentation was “designed to be emotional and powerful,” it only makes the case that a “terrorist attack” occurred at the Capitol on Jan. 6. He said that the prosecution team presented “virtually no argument” on how Trump’s conduct meets the legal standard of incitement.

“The House managers focused a great deal on the president, using words like ‘fight or fight like hell.’ Well if that constitutes incitement, then every single political candidate in America is guilty of incitement,” Cruz told reporters, according to the Capitol pool. “Because I guarantee you all 100 senators in that chamber have stood on the stump and said we need to ‘fight or fight like hell.'” (Read more)

- Father God, we pray that in all the attacks, You will protect former President Donald Trump of any false charges of inciting a breach of the U.S. Capitol on January 6. By Your power, Lord. In the Name of Jesus we pray.
"Be not hasty in your spirit to be angry: for anger rests in the bosom of fools." (Ecclesiastes 7:9)

4. Swalwell Mistakes "Calvary" for "Cavalry" and Wreaks Havoc
- Intercessors for America

John Solomon (Just the News) debunked a story Rep Eric Swalwell (CA-D) told Wednesday in the Senate “Impeachment” hearing, as a House Manager.

The prosecution shows a Florida woman’s tweet and read it as “Cavalry” meaning they were coming to attack the Capitol.

However, John Solomon  noticed the spelling was “Calvary”. So he reached out to the woman and asked what she meant. She was talking about a prayer meeting on Jan 5 in DC and about Calvary, the hill where the crucifixion took place!  John Solomon asked her if she was in DC on the 6th.  She said no but she was in DC on Jan  5th. John Solomon said do you have a witness.  She said yes,  my pastor Brian Gibbs who verified what she meant.

The woman has received death threats since her name/tweet was used by Eric Swalwell. She had to hire a security company.

Thank God for John Solomon. (Read more)

- Lord, we pray for more solid, decent investigative journalists like John Solomon. We pray for truth in media and reporting and on Capitol Hill. Righteous God, we pray protection for this woman in Florida that her innocence will be acknowledged and she will be freed from this harassment.  In the Name of Jesus we pray, amen.
 "And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified Him (Jesus), and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left." (Luke 23:33)

5. White House Reassures Gun Control Groups It Will Fulfill 'Ambitious' Gun Control Agenda
- The Epoch Times

With control of the House, Senate, and White House as a backdrop, Biden administration officials in their meeting with gun control advocates conveyed confidence about enacting gun control legislation through legislative and executive actions that in the past had not gotten the votes.

On Wednesday, domestic policy adviser Susan Rice and White House public engagement director and senior adviser Cedric Richmond held a virtual meeting with leaders of gun control groups, including Gifford’s Everytown for Gun Safety, Moms Demand Action, and Brady, during which they discussed gun violence in America. Rice and Richmond told attendees that President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris are ready to act to reduce gun violence and enact “common sense” gun laws.

White House press secretary Jen Psaki told reporters on Thursday that the Biden Administration is moving forward with fulfilling its “ambitious plan” of increasing gun control in the near future. “During the campaign, President Biden laid out an ambitious plan to make our community safer. And that’s why in part, yesterday, senior members of his team … hosted a virtual discussion with leaders of gun violence prevention groups to discuss our shared goals,” said Psaki. “We look forward to working with gun violence survivors and advocates and sharing more in the weeks and months ahead about our efforts to make our communities safer,” she added. (Read more)

- Lord God, we pray Your guidance be fulfilled regarding gun control groups. Strengthen the support of the good, and pull down the power of the evil forces. In Jesus' Name we pray.

6. Bank of America gave private info to FBI in Capitol-riot probe - WND

The Bank of America has acknowledged it secretly turned over to federal investigators the private financial information of customers who made purchases in and around Washington, D.C., at the time of the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol.

The bank, the nation's second largest, identified a total of 211 customers who met certain "thresholds of interest" in the probe, according to an investigation by Fox News' Tucker Carlson reported Thursday. The feds, he said, were looking for people who used a bank card for hotel stays, meals and transportation.

Responding to a request for comment, Bank of America insisted it was acting in compliance with the law.

"We don’t comment on our communications with law enforcement. All banks have responsibilities under federal law to cooperate with law enforcement inquiries in full compliance with the law," the statement said.  (Read more)

- Father God, we pray that You put an obligatory limit on Bank of America's customers' privacy and protection.  Lord, protect the innocent and convict the guilty.  In Jesus' Name we pray.

"Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man." (Psalm 60:11)

7. 'Rotating outages' possible in next 72 hours as state officials urge Texans to conserve power due to extreme cold -  WFAA.com

State officials are asking Texans to conserve as much electricity as they can safely and reliably over the coming days as record-low temperatures are expected to plunge the state further into a dangerous winter storm.

The request comes from the Electric Reliability Council of Texas, the agency that oversees the state's electric grid. Officials there are concerned that as temperatures drop further, the grid will not be able to support all the demands placed on it.

"There’s certainly a possibility we could have to do rotating outages," said Dan Woodfin, senior director of system operations at ERCOT. "We believe we may have to tomorrow [Monday] and Tuesday. That is a little more likely."

Gov. Greg Abbott issued a disaster declaration Friday for all 254 Texas counties in response to the wintry weather conditions. The governor has also requested a Federal Emergency Declaration from the White House to make additional resources available for communities impacted by this weather event.  The Texas State Operations Center will also be active 24 hours a day through the end of next week.

During a news conference Saturday, Gov. Abbott warned Texans "the severity of the weather is unprecedented and people should be ready."

There are over 3,000 troopers deployed, the National Guard will be assisting local law enforcement and performing welfare checks in rural areas, search and rescue teams are monitoring and the Texas forest service will be in place to deal with any downed trees and to clear roads. (Read more)

- Merciful God, we cry out to You for Your Hand of mercy to be shown to all who are now in the path of this very dangerous storm, both in the State of Texas and across our land. We ask for Your divine intervention to be present, keeping all safe in these severe conditions. Come Lord Jesus, we pray. Be our shelter in the storm,
in Your name, amen and amen.

- "For thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm." (Isaiah 25:4)

8. Award-winning teacher warns of new 'social justice' indoctrination - WND

In the current academic climate, teaching social justice has become more important than content. This is especially true in the fields of history and civic education. For example, teacher training at the University of Illinois is centered around social justice, as more than one student teacher has related to me during informal interviews. Where once the emphasis was on such topics as Bloom’s taxonomy and classroom management, social justice topics seem to have taken precedence.

If alarm bells are not going off in your head right now, they should be.

Those of us who teach history or civics, whether at the high school or collegiate levels, are at the forefront of this battle. . . . History is oftentimes in conflict as those who want to forward a political agenda are often pitted against those who seek to teach honest historical inquiry so that students, through prudent study, can arrive at their own conclusions. The aim of self-professed trade magazines like the American Educator is to expound critical race theory and social justice agendas at the expense of true historical inquiry and civics education. This is tantamount to indoctrination of unsuspecting students and, in some cases, undercutting the parents’ role in the education of their children.

This tidal wave of wokeness has also made its way into the professional development of teachers. Mandatory seminars on implicit bias, critical race theory, and social justice are now commonplace in high schools and colleges, even seeping into grade schools . . .  This movement is training an entire generation of students and teachers using biased and historically inaccurate history such as the New York Times’s “1619 Project” for nakedly political ends.

Currently, an Illinois proposal entitled “Culturally Responsive Teaching and Leading Standards” has been approved by the Illinois Board of Education. Should it be approved by the Illinois General Assembly, Illinois teachers will be required to teach both history and civics according to what amounts to “woke” standards. Failure to do so could result in a teacher losing his teaching license in Illinois. Should it pass, this mandate would be likely implemented nationwide. If that happens, the death knell will have been sounded for honest historical and civics inquiry and teaching, something that Americans cannot and should not tolerate. (Read more)

- Almighty God, we pray against any and all powers that attempt to distort history, civic education and social justice topics; also wokeness.  Father, protect the teachers, the minds of students, and redeem them from corruption.  We pray in Jesus' Name.

- "These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts, and their mouth speaks great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage."  (Jude 16)

9. U.S. headed for war with China, warns top Beijing academic - WND

A prominent Beijing scholar on international relations is warning that without a "new stability" in China's relationship with the United States, "there will be war. . . . It cannot be taken for granted and fantasized that conflict will never erupt between the two," said Shi Yinhong, a professor at the Institute of International Relations at Renmin University. He said the stability that the U.S. and China have had in the past is gone. "So there must be new strategic stability which will be achieved by being practical, sufficiently focused, and through specific and important proposals, dialogues or negotiations," he insisted.

"I think the trend of China-U.S. relations after the U.S. election can be influenced or shaped by China to a large extent," he said. "Therefore, China's strategies and policies, as well as appropriate adjustments to these strategic policies, are very important. The current situation of China and the U.S. determines that it is impossible for the two sides to significantly back down from their confrontation or rivalry."

Secondly, he said, that for a "certain period of time, although there can be and must be exceptions, but in general, China cannot have confrontation with other developed countries besides the United States and Britain, as well as any major developing countries.  The purpose is to focus strategically and reduce first- and second-tier opponents," he said.

Shi said that over the past year, "the strategic frontiers of China and the U.S. are inching closer, especially when the two countries were set in motion of confrontation and opposition against each other. . . . It cannot be taken for granted and fantasized that conflict will never erupt between the two. . . We must strive to solve new strategic problems through practical thinking, sufficient focus and dialogues or negotiations on important proposals. At the same time, this will also serve to isolate the views towards China of the U.S. political class and to win over other important countries in the world with their more understanding and sympathy for China."
(Read more)

- Father, this seems like a thinly veiled threat by China against the U.S., Britain and likely Taiwan and Hong Kong.  We bind the spirit of domination that wants to dictate strategic relationships and policies.  Lord, we ask You to bring them under Your righteous authority and cause their threats to have no effect on the critical balance of nations and world stability.  We thank You that every plan for world domination would be neutralized and that You, Holy One, would loose all authority in Your heavenly armies. In Jesus Name!

"If the household is worthy, let your peace come upon it. . . . And whoever will not receive you nor hear your words, when you depart from that house or city, shake off the dust from your feet.  Assuredly, I say to you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city!"  (Mt. 10:13a-15)

10. Biden Makes History: First President in 40 Years to Punt on Contacting Israel - FreeBeacon.com

President Joe Biden is the first American leader in 40 years not to contact Israel’s leaders as one of his first actions in the White House, setting up what could be four years of chilly relations between America and its top Middle East ally.

Biden has already phoned multiple world leaders, including Russian president Vladimir Putin and Chinese president Xi Jinping, but during his 23 days in office has yet to speak with Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu—making Biden the first president in modern history to punt on bolstering U.S.-Israel relations during his initial days in office. Every president going back to at least Ronald Reagan in 1981 made contact with their Israeli counterpart within a week of assuming office, according to a review of news reports. (Read more)

- Father God, Holy One, we cringe at this headline. Lord God, spare Your people, we pray, from the impact of this new leader's ignorance. Lord God, Israel is Your Hoiy and Covenant nation. We stand between the porch and the altar, offering prayers of repentance for Biden's dishonoring of Zion. Help us, O Lord, we pray, amen and amen!

- "Father forgive him, for he knows not what he does." (Luke 23:34)

 Donald Trump's Full Statement on Impeachment Trial Acquittal

READ THE TEXT HERE (IN PART):

I want to first thank my team of dedicated lawyers and others for their tireless work upholding justice and defending truth. My deepest thanks as well to all of the United States Senators and Members of Congress who stood proudly for the Constitution we all revere and for the sacred legal principles at the heart of our country.

Our cherished Constitutional Republic was founded on the impartial rule of law, the indispensable safeguard for our liberties, our rights and our freedoms.

. . . It is a sad commentary on our times that one political party in America is given a free pass to denigrate the rule of law, defame law enforcement, cheer mobs, excuse rioters, and transform justice into a tool of political vengeance, and persecute, blacklist, cancel and suppress all people and viewpoints with whom or which they disagree. I always have, and always will, be a champion for the unwavering rule of law, the heroes of law enforcement, and the right of Americans to peacefully and honorably debate the issues of the day without malice and without hate. . . .

I also want to convey my gratitude to the millions of decent, hardworking, law-abiding, God-and-Country loving citizens who have bravely supported these important principles in these very difficult and challenging times. Our historic, patriotic and beautiful movement to Make America Great Again has only just begun. In the months ahead I have much to share with you, and I look forward to continuing our incredible journey together to achieve American greatness for all of our people. There has never been anything like it!

We have so much work ahead of us, and soon we will emerge with a vision for a bright, radiant, and limitless American future. Together there is nothing we cannot accomplish.

We remain one People, one family, and one glorious nation under God, and it’s our responsibility to preserve this magnificent inheritance for our children and for generations of Americans to come.

May God bless all of you, and may God forever bless the United States of America. (To read the entire speech, go here.)

- O righteous Father, we pray that all of our people will acknowledge God's hand on President Trump's life and his amazing achievements. Protect him, Father God, we pray, from the enemy's greatest forces. Destroy their power, we pray, in Jesus' Name. Nothing is too difficult for You! Amen!

- "Every Word of God is pure: He is a shield unto them that put their trust in Him." (Proverbs 30:5)

SCOTUS: Cracking the Case of Election Law

On February 19, the Supreme Court will consider several lawsuits regarding the contested 2020 elections. These high-profile lawsuits, including those brought by attorneys Sidney Powell and Lin Wood, and the Trump campaign, will be considered for hearings at the Supreme Court's scheduled conference.

The lawsuits under consideration concern four states: Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Georgia. All these cases allege unlawful election-related conduct which may have affected the results of the elections within each respective state. Some of the alleged misconduct includes the changing of state election laws to accommodate expanding mail-in voting, a lack of adequate security measures, issues with voting machines, and denial of adequate access to poll watchers.

Although they concern different kinds of irregularities, each of the lawsuits ultimately is asking the Supreme Court to weigh in on questions of legality surrounding the election. Sidney Powell's Michigan petition calls for "emergency declaratory relief avowing that the presidential election results certified by Michigan officials were unconstitutional and otherwise contrary to law, together with injunctive relief de-certifying those results."

In his Georgia petition, Lin Wood asks the Supreme Court to "enter an emergency order instructing Respondents to de-certify the results of the General Election for the Office of the President."

Rep. Mike Kelly's (R) Pennsylvania petition asks the court for an injunction "that prohibits the Executive-Respondents from taking official action to tabulate, compute, canvass, certify, or otherwise finalize the results of the Election." The Trump campaign lawsuits also advocate emergency injunctive relief, calling for expedited hearings and the blocking of certification of the electoral college votes for Joe Biden.

The cases will be considered on Friday, but it remains unclear whether or not it will end up taking any of them up. (Read more)

- Father God, we continue to cry out to You for justice to rule in this last election. Now that the U.S. Supreme Court will have several opportunities to review the facts in these battleground states, we ask that they do so with
courage and tenacity.. Help us, O Lord we pray, amen and amen!

"For the Lord is our Judge,
The Lord is our Lawgiver,
The Lord is our King;

He will save us."

Major Winter Storm Spreading Snow, Damaging Ice From the South Into the Midwest and Northeast

A major winter storm, named Uri by The Weather Channel, is underway and will spread snow and potentially damaging ice from the South into parts of the Midwest and Northeast through early week.

This winter storm is being spurred on by a vigorous jet-stream disturbance and a low-pressure system spreading moisture into record-breaking cold air that is now entrenched across the central U.S.

Into early Monday morning, Uri will steadily spread snow and ice eastward from Texas and Oklahoma to as far east as the western Gulf Coast, lower Mississippi Valley, Ohio Valley and southern Great Lakes.

Winter storm warnings, watches and winter advisories for Uri stretch from parts of the South into the Midwest and interior Northeast.

The entire states of Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas were under winter storm warnings as of Sunday afternoon.

Locations where warnings are in effect will generally have the worst impacts from this storm, including the potential for impossible travel conditions and/or damaging ice.

Sanitation Worker Praises God for Helping Him Rescue Young Girl from Sex Offender

In a harrowing Facebook Live broadcast Monday, one Louisiana sanitation worker heaped praise on God for helping him save a 10-year-old girl from a registered sex offender whom police believe had abducted her a day earlier.

Dion Merrick, a trash truck driver for Pelican Waste & Debris, said he was on his regular route with his coworker, Brandon Antoine, when he saw a gray 2012 Nissan Altima parked out in a field.

“There was a dude who had this little 10-year-old girl,” he said. “I just saved that little girl’s life, bruh. Thank God, bruh. They got him now. They saved that little girl, thanks to two Pelican drivers.”

The New Iberia Police Department issued an Amber Alert for the little girl — Jasila Lasalle — on Sunday, when she was taken from a family member’s home. Authorities said at the time Jasila was in “imminent danger.”

Thirty-three-year-old Michael Sereal, convicted in 2006 of carnal knowledge of a juvenile and a registered sex offender, was driving the sedan.

Merrick was able to position his trash truck so it blocked Sereal from driving away. Once police arrived on the scene, they took him into custody. The assailant, reportedly an acquaintance of Jasila’s family, is now being held without bond on charges of aggravated kidnapping and failure to register as a sex offender.

The heroic sanitation worker said he just felt “something” telling him to look over into the field where he found the child and Sereal. Pelican Waste & Debris CEO Roddie Matherne told ABC News he and his team “couldn’t be prouder” of Merrick and Antoine. (FaithWire) Read more.

Today’s Prophetic Word

WE NEED WHAT PATTON GAVE HIS TROOPS AT BASTOGNE.

By Mario Murillo Ministries

. . . I realize you are tired. I realize you are disappointed by defeat after defeat. Butnow is no time to quit.

How can we find the will to press on? By being utterly convinced of the rightness of our cause. Here is where you start anew to find the rightness of our cause:

Trump said he was spied on by Barack Obama’s operatives. It turns out he was right. When Trump told us there was no Russian collusion, he was right again. He told us the evidence the FBI used to get a warrant against him was a bogus story from a Russian spy. That also proved to be true. And finally, when they tried to impeach him, he showed us the information against him was a lie. He was right every time.

Now the President says this election was rigged against him. Why would I doubt him now? I believe him.

In one of the most chilling moments in American history, credible evidence of the crime of the century cannot even be contested! Trump is saying, in essence, ‘This really happened and they are going to get away with it.’

But they won’t get away with it if we keep the flame of our movement burning strong. They won’t, if we arm ourselves with facts and speak out to anyone who will listen. They won’t, if we determine not to recognize the sham leaders that they are trying to force upon us.

I say, “NEVER!”

I Need Thee Every Hour

Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. (Hebrews 4:16)

Words: Annie Hawks
Music: Robert Lowry

Lyrics:
I need Thee every hour, most gracious Lord;
No tender voice like Thine can peace afford.

Refrain

I need Thee, O I need Thee;
Every hour I need Thee;
O bless me now, my Savior,
I come to Thee.

I need Thee every hour, stay Thou nearby;
Temptations lose their power when Thou art nigh.

I need Thee, O I need Thee;
Every hour I need Thee;
O bless me now, my Savior,
I come to Thee.

I need Thee every hour, in joy or pain;
Come quickly and abide, or life is vain.

I need Thee, O I need Thee;
Every hour I need Thee;
O bless me now, my Savior,
I come to Thee.

I need Thee every hour; teach me Thy will;
And Thy rich promises in me fulfill.

I need Thee, O I need Thee;
Every hour I need Thee;
O bless me now, my Savior,
I come to Thee.

I need Thee every hour, most Holy One;
O make me Thine indeed, Thou blessèd Son.

I need Thee, O I need Thee;
Every hour I need Thee;
O bless me now, my Savior,
I come to Thee.

About Capitol Hill Prayer Partners

Our Mission Statement

Capitol Hill Prayer Partners (CHPP) is a ministry which is positioned on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., helping members of the Body of Christ to "pray for those in authority over us" in our federal government. Our primary purpose is to offer intercession on site for the members of Congress and their staffs each day that the Senate and the House of Representatives are in session; and our chief prayer focus is that "God's will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." [Matthew 6:10].

Because Jesus Christ has shed His blood for all, we, too, pray for ALL, in a nonpartisan manner. Also, because the scriptures indicate that "the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much"  (James 4:17), we are confident that fervent prayer, offered in the halls of the highest chambers of government in our land, can avail much for America. Capitol Hill Prayer Partners welcomes those who feel called to join us, engaging in this strategic work of intercession for our nation: "For there is no power but of God; the powers that be are ordained of God."  [Romans 13:1]
