President Trump Signs Coronavirus Bill
Trump signs $8.3B coronavirus spending bill: 'It's an unforeseen problem'
President Trump signed an $8.3 billion spending bill Friday aimed at fighting the coronavirus outbreak, the culmination of a bipartisan effort by Congress and the White House to provide funds to federal agencies, as well as state and local governments, to battle the disease.
"We're doing well, but it's an unforeseen problem," the president said as he signed the legislation in the White House's Diplomatic Reception Room. He made the comments before departing for Tennessee to tour damage from tornadoes that struck the state earlier this week.
Trump also said he did not think Americans were too worried about the potential effects of the coronavirus.
"I don't think they're panicking," Trump said at the bill signing. "It'll go away."
The bill will fund the development of vaccines, medications to treat the disease and diagnostic tests all while helping state and local governments -- and foreign governments -- fight the coronavirus, which causes a disease officially known as COVID-19.
Also at the bill signing, Trump addressed a variety of other topics as he spoke with reporters, including stock market fluctuations, the Federal Reserve and Thursday's exit from the presidential race by Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass.
"I think financial markets will bounce back," Trump said as markets were down over 700 points already Friday morning. "They were up 70 percent so it's a relatively small piece. I don't like to see it happen because I was looking for 30,000 relatively soon."
Trump also slammed the Federal Reserve for not taking actions similar to what other central banks around the world have done.
"We're going to see whether or not the Fed wants to stimulate. In my opinion they should," Trump said. "Everybody is but us . . . I have a Fed that is not exactly proactive, I'm being very nice when I say that." (Fox News) Read more.
- Father God, we lift up this major funding bill before Your Throne of Grace, and we thank You that both the Congress and the President have taken such quick action on this critical matter. As these funds are now being disbursed across the nation, we ask Your wisdom for those in authority, that they will spend this money in the wisest way possible. We ask in Your Name, amen.
- "Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven." (Matthew 18:19)
Trump Visits Tornado Devastation
President Trump visits tornado-struck Tennessee
COOKEVILLE, Tn. - President Donald Trump marveled at the "tremendous heart" of people in middle Tennessee as he visited the areas where deadly tornadoes hit earlier this week. More than 20 people died; some of them were children.
President Trump toured damaged areas in Cookeville, Tennessee.
"We need his help, said Dayn Copeland, resident in Cookeville. "We need government help. You can see the homes are destroyed. Definitely appreciate everything he does for the country and this community."
The president toured a street where eight people were killed. "This is real devastation like you'll never see hopefully again," President Trump said. "This was about as big a tornado as you can have."
The president also met with survivors and volunteers at a local church.
Tennessee Governor Bill Lee thanked the president for the federal government's swift response of disaster aid. (OzarksFirst.com)Read more.
- Father God, we thank You that President Trump truly has a heart for Your people. We trust that this visit has served to comfort the hearts of those who have survived this deadly series of tornadoes, and that the funds released will be used in the most effective way possible. In Your Name, amen.
- "Blessed are those that mourn, for they shall be comforted." (Matthew 5:4)
A New Chief of Staff
Trump announces Mark Meadows to replace Mick Mulvaney as White House chief of staff
President Trump made a surprise announcement on Friday night that Rep. Mark Meadows, R-N.C., would become his new White House chief of staff, replacing acting chief of staff Mick Mulvaney.
"I am pleased to announce that Congressman Mark Meadows will become White House Chief of Staff. I have long known and worked with Mark, and the relationship is a very good one," Trump tweeted.
Meadows has become one of Trump's most loyal defenders on Capitol Hill, particularly during the monthslong impeachment battle that ultimately ended with an acquittal in February.
Mulvaney became the acting White House chief of staff in January 2019, replacing Gen. John Kelly. Mulvaney was also serving as the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) director.
Trump also announced that Mulvaney would become the U.S. special envoy for Northern Ireland.
"I want to thank Acting Chief Mick Mulvaney for having served the Administration so well. He will become the United States Special Envoy for Northern Ireland. Thank you!" Trump said in a second tweet.
In a statement, Meadows said it was an "honor" to selected by President Trump.
"This President and his administration have a long list of incredible victories they've delivered to the country during this first term, with the best yet to come -- and I look forward to helping build on that success and staying in the fight for the forgotten men and women of America," he said. (Fox News) Read more.
- Lord God, we thank You for this smooth transition at the top of the President's leadership team. We lift up Mark Meadows as he assumes his new role as Chief of Staff for President Trump, and we pray for Your grace to rest upon Mike Mulvaney as he serves our nation as its special envoy for Northern Ireland. Amen.
- "In everything, give thanks." (1 Thessalonians 5:18)
News from Israel
Final results show Likud with 36 seats, Netanyahu bloc short of majority with 58
A full 68 hours after the polling stations closed and exit polls predicted a surge for Likud and its right-wing bloc, the Central Elections Committee on Thursday confirmed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's party as the largest after Monday's general election, with final results giving it 36 seats to rival Blue and White's 33.
The full results, published by the committee after delays in checking a number of polling stations and ballot boxes, also confirmed, however, that the right-wing bloc of parties supporting Netanyahu had won 58 seats, three short of a majority needed to form a coalition.
While a total of 30 parties ran in the election - the third in a year - the final results gave seats to only eight, the lowest number to enter the Knesset in Israel's history. Of the 4,612,297 Israelis who voted, over 56 percent voted for just two parties - Likud and Blue and White, which collectively received 2,566,272 individual ballots. (Times of Israel) Read more.

Once each week, on Sunday mornings and for 24 hours, join with others in OPERATION RESTORATION . . .
"Operation Restoration"
This initiative is based upon the Move of the Spirit that was launched last month during Operation Refiner's Fire. The LORD has shown us that He has used those fires to ignite the FIRE of the HOLY SPIRIT to visit our people, which He now yearns to keep burning among our people until the day of His return!
"Operation Restoration" is based on the promise of Scripture, recorded in
2 Chronicles 7:14,15.
It is written:
. . . "and if My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
"Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to the prayer offered in this place."
This is a weekly Solemn Assembly, where saints can feel free to gather each Sunday, to offer prayers of repentance before our Lord, for the many sins our nation has committed before Him.
Abba so desires to hear our prayers . . . He is just waiting to heal us!
You can join us, any Sunday, beginning at 9:00 a.m. EST by calling:

Access Code: 150411#
Each week, our conference line for Operation Restoration will remain open until Monday morning at 9:00 a.m.EST -- allowing for 24 hours of nonstop prayer before our King of Kings, that He might, indeed, "heal our land." Amen.
