Rep. Ilhan Omar (D., Minn.) speaks to the media on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., November 30, 2021
House Passes Ilhan Omar’s Anti-Islamophobia Bill

The House on Tuesday passed legislation to combat Islamophobia submitted by Representative Ilhan Omar (D., Minn.), with Democrats disagreeing over how to counter anti-Muslim remarks by Representative Lauren Boebert (R., Col.).

The House passed the bill 219-212, with no Republicans voting in favor. Omar’s legislation would create a State Department post to combat Islamophobia similar to the special envoy for anti-Semitism. The bill would also order the State Department to include data on incidents of Islamophobia across the world in its reports on human rights. Omar has herself been accused of anti-Semitism, including by several House Democrats.

Prior to passage, Representative James McGovern (D., Mass.) said the House would debate the Islamophobia bill because a member “told a completely fabricated story again and again that implies a Muslim colleague is a terrorist…just because they are Muslim.”

Representative Michael McCaul (R., Texas) countered that while he concurred with the “spirit and intent” of the bill, “it’s so vague and subjective that it could be used against legitimate speech for partisan purposes.”

Representative Dan Crenshaw (R. Texas) said the bill was irrelevant to Americans at this time. “‘Tis the season of misplaced priorities,” Crenshaw said on the House floor. “My colleagues seem to think Islamophobia is what Americans care about. Well, I’d rather talk about something Americans care about: gassing up their cars and keeping their heat on.” (National Review) Read more.

DIGGING DEEPER: This bill brings Sharia (Islamic) law to America!

"Democrats Sign Letter to SECSTATE (Secretary of State) to Impose                                              Barbaric Sharia on U.S. Citizens"
                                              (July 20, 2021)

(We quote, in part) On July 20, 2021, The Hill reported that 25 democrat Members of Congress – led by jihadi Congresswoman Ilhan Omar of Minnesota – signed a letter to the U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken “urging him to appoint a special envoy tasked with monitoring and combatting Islamophobia.” . . .

At the time this article was published, the full letter was not publicly available, so all the names of the democrats who signed this letter are not known. However, we do know that, according to The Hill, Representatives Ilhan Omar (MN), Rashida Tlaib (MI), Karen Bass (CA), Debbie Dingell (MI), Judy Chu (CA) and Steve Cohen (TN) were among the letter’s signers.

What these Members of Congress are actually doing – in their official capacity as U.S. Representatives – is calling on a cabinet official in an American administration to impose the Islamic Law of Slander on American citizens.

- Lord, as this bill now goes to the Senate, the verbiage within it sets in motion another way to clamp down on the free speech of Americans, even endangering us all. We pray that You will cause the Senate to reject this bill in its entirety, not rewrite it or just water it down further.

- "See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ." (Colossians 2:8)

Biden suggests mega-spending bill likely to miss end-of-year deadline
The nearly $2 trillion measure has faced opposition from moderate Democrats in the Senate

President Biden indicated Friday that he and Democrats likely will not meet their goal of passing his roughly $2 trillion social spending bill by the end of the year, saying it would be finished over the next "days and weeks" while the focus turns to other things.

Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., and fellow moderate Sen. Kyrsten Sinema, D-Ariz., are considered key holdouts on the measure, known as the Build Back Better bill. Manchin has repeatedly expressed concern about the legislation’s cost, warning a broad spending package would be fiscally irresponsible given rising inflation.

With Republicans united in opposition, all 50 Democrats must back the bill for it to pass.

"We will advance this work together over the days and weeks ahead; Leader Schumer and I are determined to see the bill successfully on the floor as early as possible," Biden said in a statement. "We will – we must – get Build Back Better passed, even in the face of Republican opposition. At the same time, we must also press forward on voting rights legislation, and make progress on this as quickly as possible."

Biden said work would continue trying to convince Manchin, with whom Biden has talked to at least three times this week, to support the measure.

Asked by Fox News on Wednesday whether he would be able to work through issues to hold a vote on the measure before Christmas, Manchin said, "We haven’t even gotten anything back from the parliamentarian, so just procedurally we have nothing to vote on."

The House passed its version of the Build Back Better Act last month in a party-line vote following months of negotiations with progressives and moderates. The Senate version is expected to contain changes, given opposition from Manchin and Sinema.

Fox Business poll released Wednesday shows voters believe Biden's social spending plan would push inflation higher and damage the economy. (Fox Business) Read more here.
- Father God, we are breathing a quiet sigh of relief at the news that, for now, this bill is going nowhere. At the same time, however, recalling how the Federal Reserve Act was actually passed on CHRISTMAS EVE in 1913, and knowing that next week is Christmas Eve this year, we continue to STAND WATCH lest evil people yet try to sneak this bill through the Senate when most have gone home. Thank You, Lord, amen and amen.

The Passage of the Federal Reserve Act in 1913

Passage of the Federal Reserve Act (1913)

The Glass Bill (the House version of the final Federal Reserve Act) had passed the House on September 18, 1913 by 287 to 85. On December 19, 1913, the Senate passed their version by a vote of 54-34. More than forty important differences in the House and Senate versions remained to be settled, and the opponents of the bill in both houses of Congress were led to believe that many weeks would yet elapse before the Conference bill would be ready for consideration.

The Congressmen prepared to leave Washington for the annual Christmas recess, assured that the Conference bill would not be brought up until the following year. Now the money creators prepared and executed the most brilliant stroke of their plan. In a single day, they ironed out all forty of the disputed passages in the bill and quickly brought it to a vote. On Monday, December 22, 1913, the bill was passed by the House 282-60 and the Senate 43-23.

"Unprecedented speed", says the New York Times. One sees the fine hand of Warburg in this final strategy. Some of the bill's most vocal critics had already left Washington. It was a long-standing political courtesy that important legislation would not be acted upon during the week before Christmas, but this tradition was rudely shattered in order to perpetrate the Federal Reserve Act on the American people. (Source: The History Project) Read more here.

- Lord God, we repent that those in opposition to the passage of this bill were fooled by the "Christmas vacation" strategy of those who wanted it passed. Hence, those who opposed the passage of the Federal Reserve Act left town for the holiday, and the bill was passed quickly by those who remained. And now, dear Lord, we are straddled by "the Fed" - the only agency in Washington over which Congress has NO oversight. Instead, "the Fed" is a "loose cannon," able to set policy on its own, determining our interest rates and much, much more.

Father God we ask that this year, each member of the United States Senate who would vote AGAINST the" Build Back Better Bill" would remain IN THE CHAMBER until the gavel has gone down, establishing a recess period. Thank You, O Lord, we pray, amen and amen.

- "
‘Thus says the Lord God: “Enough, O princes of Israel! Remove violence and plundering, execute justice and righteousness, and stop dispossessing My people,” says the Lord God. You shall have honest scales, an honest ephah, and an honest bath." (Ezekiel 45:9,10)
20th House Democrat Announces He Won’t Run for Re-election
House Democrats can’t seem to convince lawmakers to run for another term as yet another has announced his retirement. California’s Alan Lowenthal is retiring after five terms in the House of Representatives.

Lowenthal, who will step down after serving for 10 years in the House of Representatives after two decades in municipal and state government, becomes the 20th Democratic lawmaker to retire or run for different office in 2022 midterm elections, as the party tries to defend its razor-thin majority in the chamber. Twelve House Republicans are retiring or seeking another office next year.

“It is time to pass the baton. It is time to rest and surround myself with the benefits of a life well lived and earned honorably in the service of my fellow citizens,” the 80-year-old Lowenthal explained in a statement announcing his retirement. (Fox News) Read more.

'The Miracle Is Happening': Guatemalan President Vows to Make His Country                 Pro-Life Capital of Latin America

Guatemalan President Alejandro Giammattei has revealed that his country will become the pro-life capital of Latin America by next year.

Giammattei made the announcement on Dec. 7 at a reception in Washington, D.C., hosted by the Institute for Women's Health International Human Rights Group.

According to Breitbart, Giammattei signed the Geneva Consensus Declaration (GCD), a pro-life effort started by former President Donald Trump but renounced earlier this year by the Biden administration.

Nations that support the Declaration strive to promote:

  • women's health
  • protection of human life
  • strengthening of family
  • defense of the sovereignty of nations in creating their own life protection policies
- Thank You, Father, that the nation of Guatemala is becoming a pro-life nation. PRAISE THE LORD!

In Context: The Origin of Lawlessness
After diverting $120 million away from law enforcement last year, San Francisco has seen a rise in crime this year. People now leave their vehicles physically open so thieves have less reason smash the windows while looking for things to steal. The mayor's response calls for more surveillance and less street vending to suppress reselling of stolen goods.

Speaker Pelosi was
asked about a federal response in support of local efforts, and she mentioned “legislation that would require those who were selling online, especially, to establish their legitimacy as to where these products came from, because what people do is they steal things and then sell them online. They have to establish their legitimacy if they're going to be sold online. … And it is, you know, absolutely out of the question that people should be able to think that they can just steal things, profit from them and not have any accountability on it.”

When
further asked about crime and retailers leaving the city, Speaker Pelosi said, “What it is, it's absolutely outrageous. Obviously, it cannot continue. But the fact is that there is an attitude of lawlessness in our country that springs from I don't know where, maybe you do, and we cannot have that lawlessness become the norm.”

“I don't know … maybe you do”

Lawlessness fundamentally comes from the sinfulness of man. “Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness.” (1 John 3:4)

If man's sinful nature is not restrained through either self-control or government, then the natural result is sin in violation of God's Law.

Government cannot change the sinfulness of man. The Word of God says as much: “if there had been a law given which could have given life, truly righteousness would have been by the law.” (Galatians 3:21). Instead, man needs an internal
change of heart, and that comes from hearing the Word of God (Romans 10:17).

Government can and should, however, punish those who do evil. (Romans 13:4; 1 Peter 2:14). This does not change man's lawless sinful nature, but it does fulfill God's external purposes for people to be able to live with one another in peace.

That means the government should do more about sinful actions than just suppress attempts to temporarily benefit from sinful actions. It's not just sinful to make a profit from selling stolen goods. It's sinful, wrong, and should be unlawful to steal in the first place.

Father, we thank you for giving us your Law. We ask that You would give our lawmakers and law enforcers clarity about the purposes You've given every nation for having laws. May they be clear on why they are necessary, and be faithful to You in making and executing them.

Dear Saints,

A lifestyle of REPENTANCE is so close to the heart of God.

Indeed, He commands us to  "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!" Matthew 3:2

How, then, can we approach His Throne of GRACE, in repentance?

We invite you to join us every week on Sunday evening, as we explore this vital topic together. We present a different prayer focus each week, leading us into repentance, so that we might approach His Throne of Grace in repentance, presenting ourselves to Him as a pure and a spotless Bride, without spot or wrinkle. (Ephesians 5:27)

Praying together, we desire to fulfill the mandate of Psalm 139:

" Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; 24 And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting." Psalm 139:24

You can join us, any Sunday evening, at 10:00 p.m. EST by calling:

WELCOME!

". . . and if My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

"Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to the prayer offered in this place."
(2 Chronicles 7:14,15)
