The call to prayer in the night will continue through Christmas night, December 25th. Join Dutch Sheets, Matt Lockett and thousands of others across our land in praying for our nation in a private time of prayer every night this month. Our main focus is the protection of the nine Supreme Court justices from occult "attacks" in the night. To sign up and join this "tsunami" of intercession in the night, please go here. Thank you.

Please join us on our national call this coming Monday, when I will share my testimony with you. This will include my recent, seven-year role as the caregiver for my husband, Jim, who has been stricken with the impact of Agent Orange when he served in Vietnam.

God is GOOD; and I trust that my own testimony will be an encouragement to all of you out there, no matter what you, too, are enduring in these difficult days.

Bob Dole funeral:

Kansan honored at National Cathedral,    World War II Memorial

The life of former Sen. Bob Dole, R-Kan., is again being honored in the nation's capital Friday, with ceremonies at the Washington National Cathedral and the World War II Memorial.

Dole's casket departed the U.S. Capitol Rotunda where his body was lying in state and traveled across the city to the cathedral, where President Biden paid tribute to Dole as a "genuine hero."

Former Republican Kansas Sen. Pat Roberts, former Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle, R-S.D., and his daughter Robin Dole also spoke.

"We disagreed, but we were never disagreeable with one another – not one time that I can think of," Biden said. "I found Bob to be a man of principle, pragmatism and enormous integrity."

Biden and congressional leadership honored Dole Thursday as a "giant of our history."

"America has lost one of its greatest patriots," Biden said at the U.S. Capitol.

Lying in state is one of the most solemn American traditions, reserved only for select prominent individuals. Dole is only the 33rd person in U.S. history to lie in state in the Rotunda. Since the turn of the century, only Rep. John Lewis, D-Ga., Sens. John McCain, R-Ariz., and Daniel Inouye, D-Hawaii, and former Presidents George H.W. Bush, Ford and Reagan have lain in state in that location. (Fox News) Read more here, and here.
- Dear Lord, once in awhile, we see events unfolding in our nation's capital for which we can be proud. This is one of those times.

Thank you for the life of Bob Dole, and for the legacy he has left behind. May the mantle of grace, dignity, truth and integrity that he wore now descend upon all who are in leadership in our nation, causing us to live as a people in peace and in freedom. Amen.

- "Render therefore to all their due: honor to whom honor."  (Rom.13:7)
Sam Brownback on Human Rights Day: When 'everything's a human right, then nothing's really a human right'
Former Ambassador for Religious Freedom-at-Large, Sam Brownback

Longtime GOP politician Sam Brownback is warning that the U.S. is diluting "human rights" and undermining their foundation by inappropriately applying that label to certain things.

His comments came on Thursday, just before the United Nations Human Rights Day. The day is observed every year on Dec. 10 – the same day that the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) in 1948.

Brownback took special aim at the Biden administration, which he said isn't doing enough on human rights. "I don't think they've handled it [human rights] very well," said Brownback, who served as President Trump's U.S. ambassador-at-large for international religious freedom.

"I think they've gone back to the old route of trying to categorize too many things as a human right and not focusing on the basic ones," he added. "I think we're letting the foundation crumble on human rights by doing that. We're not taking care of the foundation and we're trying to build a bigger house on it."

Brownback suggested returning to the "basics," arguing that religious freedom was a foundational right that shouldn't be put on the same level as others. "When you have – everything's a human right, then nothing's really a human right," said Brownback. "And it lets countries like China and Russia really belittle and pick and choose the human rights they will stand by."

The Biden administration has declared, among other things, that "Transgender rights are human rights." It also reinstated an Obama-era provision for including abortion and contraception in the State Department's human rights report. (Fox News) Read more.

- Father God, we thank You for Sam Brownback, because his voice is a voice of truth in a time of chaos and confusion. We pray that his words would pierce the hearts of his listeners so that, in the days ahead, American policy will be crafted to uphold only those that are true "human rights" in the nations. In Jesus' name, amen.

- "And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”     (John 8:32)
Supreme Court lets challenge to Texas abortion law proceed, allows law to remain in effect

The Supreme Court Friday morning ruled that a lawsuit by abortion providers against Texas over its abortion law may proceed, despite arguments by Texas that the way the law was written made it so that parties could not sue against the law until it was enforced.

"The Court concludes that the petitioners may pursue a pre-enforcement challenge against certain of the named defendants but not others," the court, led by Justice Neil Gorsuch, said. Justices Amy Coney Barrett, Samuel Alito, and Brett Kavanaugh backed Gorsuch's opinion in full.

The court also let the law remain in effect pending the legal challenges. The ruling is procedural and will not be the final word on the law's constitutionality.

Justice Clarence Thomas joined the court's controlling opinion in part and dissented in part. He agreed with the dismissal of the case against some defendants but argued "there is no freestanding constitutional right to pre-enforcement review in federal court." Therefore, he said, the abortion providers' suit should be dismissed entirely. (Fox News)        Read more.
- Father God, we thank You for this ruling and we bless these five justices who have ruled to uphold LIFE in the State of Texas, amen.

- "In everything give thanks .  . ." (I Thessalonians 5:17)
In Context: Tilting Toward Freedom
While it was expected, it was still remarkable: a Democratically-controlled Senate voted against the most significant domestic executive action in the latter half of 2021 by the Democratic Biden Administration.

52-48, Senate passed S.J.Res. 29; A joint resolution providing for congressional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by the Department of Labor relating to “COVID-19 Vaccination and Testing; Emergency Temporary Standard”.

That's the get-the-shot-or-lose-your-job rule from the Biden Administration.

Schumer began the day arguing, “If the only damage were to the person, him or herself, who didn't get vaccinated, maybe some people would say that is OK. But it is not just to them because, when there is a large pool of people unvaccinated, even if it is not the majority, that allows the COVID virus to spread, to mutate, to create new variants, and create new stronger variants. It is a pool of people. If you greatly reduce that pool, you greatly reduce the chance of a new variant, particularly a virulent one, from afflicting us in the months ahead.”

(1) The first problem with this is not even Fauci has claimed that the injections don't “allow the COVID virus to spread.” It's touted as a symptom suppressor and to reduce the risk of death. (2) Statistics that show the “unvaccinated” are at higher risk only appear that way because those same numbers are not collected on the “vaccinated.” COVID and its variants spread freely whether or not people are “vaccinated.” The “pool of people” is the general population. We should not let them “greatly reduce that pool.” (3) Viruses have a long history of doing two things when they mutate: become more contagious and less virulent. Not only is omicron very mild, it could provide strong natural immunity.

Bipartisan Senate delegations from Montana and West Virginia stood united with freedom-minded Senators against this egregious overreach of power from the federal government.

Put another way, Democrats are realizing the People can think for themselves about the risks of Covid variants vs. the risks of injections, and there remain many who are satisfied with available treatment options. The People are not satisfied with giving up their job in order to make that decision. The Senate is beginning to tilt toward freedom.

Our Weekly Call to Repentance

CHPP Welcomes You to Join Us Every Week in One Hour of Repentance

Sunday evening at 10:00 p.m. EDT
Dial 712-770-5350
Access Code: 150411#

Dear Saints,

A lifestyle of REPENTANCE is so close to the heart of God.

Indeed, He commands us to  "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!" Matthew 3:2

How, then, can we approach His Throne of GRACE, in repentance?

We invite you to join us every week on Sunday evening, as we explore this vital topic together. We present a different prayer focus each week, leading us into repentance, so that we might approach His Throne of Grace in repentance, presenting ourselves to Him as a pure and a spotless Bride, without spot or wrinkle. (Ephesians 5:27)

Praying together, we desire to fulfill the mandate of Psalm 139:

" Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; 24 And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting." Psalm 139:24

You can join us, any Sunday evening, at 10:00 p.m. EST by calling:

712-770-5350
Access Code: 150411#

WELCOME!

". . . and if My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

"Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to the prayer offered in this place."
(2 Chronicles 7:14,15)
