The Daily Brief: Legislative Snapshot Saturday, August 3, 2024 "For the kingdom is the LORD'S: and he is the governor among the nations." (Psalm 22:28) "We the People" "Standing United Together . . . Under the Cross of Christ" Today's Top Story  Praying for Israel at such a time as this  We read in Esther 8:8 the words of King Xerxes:   You, yourselves, write a decree concerning the Jews, as you please, in the king’s name and seal it with the king’s signet ring. For whatever is written in the king’s name and sealed with the king’s signet ring no one can revoke.   Let us stand and intercede (as Esther did) against the decree of destruction made against Israel by the Hamans of our day. And let us declare a decree in the Name of Yeshua, the King of kings, and seal it with our King’s signet ring — the BLOOD OF THE LAMB!   In the Name that is above every other name, Yeshua, the Christ, the King of kings and Lord of lords, we declare that the Jewish people are God’s Chosen Ones and the “apple of His eye.” We further declare that they hold a biblical covenant to the physical land of Israel, as IT IS WRITTEN in Genesis 17:7-8:   And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant … . Also I will give to you and your descendants after you … all the land of Canaan, as an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.   Therefore we declare, in the Name and authority of Yeshua, Jesus Christ of Nazareth, who came in the flesh (1 John 4:3), that the Blood of Yeshua has triumphed over and continues to prevail against (Colossians 2:15) the entrenchment of all demonic forces that are empowering the evil anti-Israel confederation within the Middle East. And we ask You, Mighty God, to send forth the archangel Michael and the Hosts of Heaven to enforce this decree over Israel and to defeat the wicked kings over Persia (Middle East), according to the Word of the Lord in Daniel 10:13. We decree that the wicked spirit of Haman, who still seeks to destroy Israel, was and is defeated, according to the Word of God in Esther 8:7. We beseech You, Yeshua, the Righteous Judge (2 Timothy 4:8), to bring Your holy judgments against these wicked powers once and for all. We decree that all of these principalities and spiritual powers of darkness must bow to the Name, authority and power of Yeshua, the Christ, the King of kings and Lord of Hosts (Philippians 2:10). Jehovah Sabaoth, pursue them with Your tempest, and frighten them with Your storm. Fill their faces with shame, that they may seek Your name, O Lord ... . Potts KINGDOM RISING MINISTRIES www.prayingwithpower.com  EXCLUSIVE: Biden-Harris Admin Paid Consultants Millions To Help Military Implement Race-Based Hiring, Combat Resistance to DEI  The Biden-Harris Defense Department paid outside organizations millions of taxpayer dollars to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, including race-based career advancement programs, in the U.S. military, documents shared exclusively with The Daily Wire revealed. The documents, first obtained by the Functional Government Initiative, highlight the extent of the Pentagon’s efforts to embed leftwing, race-based ideology in the military, in partnership with academic institutions and consulting firms. The outside organizations received taxpayer dollars to set up hiring pipelines that gave candidates preferential treatment on the basis of race and sex, advise the government agency on DEI policy, and combat internal and external resistance to said policies. The contracts are the latest evidence of the Biden-Harris administration’s push to impose DEI policies and practices throughout the federal government, including the military. Critics have blasted the administration for this push, arguing that their ideological focus detracts from military readiness and may even cause some Americans to sour on military service amid an ongoing recruiting crisis, compromising our national security in the process. The Functional Government Initiative slammed the DOD’s decision to push a political agenda rather than focus on military readiness. “The U.S. and its allies are facing challenges and threats all over the globe. Despite the increased concern for military preparedness, the DOD continues to prioritize DEI initiatives,” FGI spokesman Peter McGinnis told The Daily Wire. Teach them Your wisdom, that they would be able to fight for the United States without distraction. - “I appeal to you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment.” (1 Corinthians 1:10)  Schumer Moves To Blow Up Trump Immunity Ruling  Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) unveiled on Thursday legislation that seeks to nullify the favorable Supreme Court ruling former President Donald Trump received last month on the issue of presidential immunity as he runs another campaign for the White House. The “No Kings Act” would affirm no president or vice president, former or sitting, would be “entitled to any form of immunity (whether absolute, presumptive, or otherwise) from criminal prosecution for alleged violations of the criminal laws of the United States unless specified by Congress.” Trump scored a victory one month ago when the Supreme Court ruled Trump’s claim of presidential immunity to shield himself from federal prosecution in a 2020 election case was valid for official acts, but not unofficial conduct, and handed the matter back to a lower court to parse out. We pray for justice once again to triumph, and we ask that You move on Senator Schumer and those like him for repentance. - “Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.” (Proverbs 19:21)   Harris earns enough votes in virtual roll call to clinch nomination: DNC chair The virtual roll call began Thursday morning but will not officially end until Monday evening.  Vice President Kamala Harris has earned the support of a majority of delegates in the Democratic National Committee's virtual roll call and will be the party's nominee in November. "I am so proud to confirm that Vice President Harris has earned more than a majority of votes from all convention delegates and will be the nominee of Democratic Party following the close of voting on Monday," DNC Chair Jaime Harrison said in a statement. The virtual roll call began Thursday morning but will not officially end until Monday evening. The party originally opted to hold the virtual roll call ahead of the Democratic National Convention in order to comply with an Ohio law requiring that party's certify their nominees within 90 days of the election. While Ohio adjusted the law, the party went  ahead with the virtual nomination after President Joe Biden declined to seek reelection. Harris was the sole candidate on the roll call vote.
