Powerful 7.0 Quake Shakes Southwest Mexico, at Least 1 Dead

ACAPULCO, Mexico—A powerful earthquake struck southwestern Mexico near the beach resort of Acapulco on Tuesday night, killing at least one man who was crushed by a falling post, and causing rock falls and damaging buildings, authorities said.

The 7.0 magnitude quake, which hit 11 miles northeast of Acapulco in Guerrero state, shook the hillsides around the city, downing trees and pitching large boulders onto roads.

State governor Hector Astudillo told local television that a man was killed by a falling post. He and other authorities had earlier said there were no reports of major damage from the quake, which caused power outages in several states.

Mexican state power utility the Comision Federal de Electricidad said in a statement 1.6 million users had been affected by the quake in Mexico City, the adjacent State of Mexico, and the states of Guerrero, Morelos and Oaxaca. (Epoch Tiimes) Read more here.

Taliban Invites Russia, China, Pakistan, Iran, Turkey and Qatar to Ceremony Announcing New Government in Afghanistan

Russia’s TASS News reported:

The Taliban (outlawed in Russia) that seized power in Afghanistan have invited a number of countries, including Russia, to take part in an event dedicated to the announcement of the composition of the new Afghan government, the group’s representative, whose name was not revealed, told the Al Jazeera TV channel on Monday.

“We have sent invitations to Turkey, China, Russia, Iran, Pakistan and Qatar to take part in the [ceremony] of announcing [the composition of the new Afghan] government,” he said.

The TV channel’s interlocutor also noted that the necessary procedures for the announcement of the composition of the new cabinet had been completed by now. He added that the Taliban would create “a regime that will be accepted by the global community and the Afghan people.” (The Gateway Pundit) Read more here.

- Father, this is a very treacherous turn of affairs for the world.  Israel is so vulnerable in this situation.  We ask You, Holy One, to give us the wisdom to know how to pray, how to deal with this, and what to anticipate, so that we can get ahead of their game.  We pray strong protection over the vulnerable in this earth and we ask for justice for those who freely released American-made military hardware to these adversaries.

1. Authorities scramble for clues, answers as escaped inmates evade massive manhunt - Times of Israel

Israeli police set up hundreds of roadblocks and the country’s top political and military leaders held security consultations Monday afternoon, as a manhunt for six prison escapees, including a notorious leader of a terror group, continued into the start of the Rosh Hashanah holiday.

The search for the six has centered around the cities of Beit She’an and Afula, near the high security Gilboa prison that they escaped from in what is considered among the most serious jailbreaks in the nation’s history.

While the prison is only some six kilometers (four miles) from the West Bank, police reportedly believe the escapees to still be inside Israel.

Police and military officials have beefed up security nationwide, fearing that the escapees could carry out attacks against Israeli soldiers or civilians, or inspire copycat attacks, with some Palestinians celebrating the jailbreak. (Read more)

2. Guard fell asleep, Fatah terrorist was transferred a day before the escape - Israel National News

New details emerged on Monday evening about the escape of six terrorists from Gilboa Prison in northern Israel. One of those details is that Zakaria Zubeidi, the former Jenin chief of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades terrorist organization, was transferred only on Sunday to the cell from which he fled.

Zubeidi’s move to a new cell is very unusual, noted Channel 12 News. The Israel Prisons Service (IPS) has a procedure to separate prisoners according to the organizations to which they belong and while Zubeidi belongs to the Fatah organization, the five other prisoners who stayed in the cell and fled with him belong to Islamic Jihad.

Surprisingly, Zubeidi’s request to move cells was approved without questions.

Another detail that emerged on Monday evening is that that the guard who was stationed in the tower above the tunnel shaft from which the terrorists escaped, fell asleep during her shift.

Israel Police Operations Brigade Brigadier General Shimon Nachmani said earlier on Monday that the six terrorists are estimated to have "had aid from the outside, as well as vehicles which aided them."

He also said that many forces are deployed throughout Israel in an effort to locate the terrorists. (Read more)

Let us ask our Lord to help us to NOT FALL ASLEEP ON OUR WATCH, lest the enemy "break through" to rob, steal and destroy from our land. Thank you!

3. Preparing for 2024, Trump Complains He Is Ignored by Jewish Voters - Jewish Press

Former President Donald Trump is frustrated with the lack of support from Jewish American voters, who appear to disregard his administration’s support of Israel. “Look what I did with the embassy in Jerusalem and what I did with so many other things,” Trump said last Thursday, and complained: “Israel has never had a better friend, and yet I got 25% of the vote.”

The former president and his religious advisors have announced the creation of a National Faith Advisory Board to seek support for a possible Trump presidential run from his conservative Christian base, Religious News Service reported.

A Republican Jewish Coalition survey of Jewish voters during the 2020 election showed 30% of Jewish voters supported, and a J Street poll showed a 21% support.

“All I can tell you is that I think we have to have a great election and we have to have a powerful vote,” Trump said on Thursday. “If we don’t have a very powerful vote, then Jason, I’ll be talking to you in the future, but it won’t be very positively.”

Jason is Jason Yates, CEO of My Faith Votes, who was one of the leaders of faith groups who were assembled to listen to Trump and pose questions. Also present was Rabbi Yaakov Menken, Managing Director of the Coalition for Jewish Values.

4. Israel to Reopen for Small Foreign Tour Groups - The Algemeiner
Israel will allow small foreign tour groups from selective countries to visit from Sept. 19 under a pilot program to kick-start tourism, the government said on Sunday.

Tour groups of between 5 and 30 people from countries on Israel’s green, yellow and orange lists will be allowed to enter the country provided all group members have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, the tourism ministry said.

Individual tourists, who have not been allowed to visit Israel since the outset of the coronavirus pandemic there in March 2020 unless they are visiting family members, will still not be allowed to enter outside of a tour group.

In May, amid a drop in COVID-19 infections, Israel had allowed in small tour groups. More than 2,000 visitors arrived, mainly from the United States and Europe, raising hopes of recovery within a tourism industry battered by the pandemic. (Read more)

5. Report: Anti-Semitic hashtags and content widespread on Instagram - Israel National News

A new report by a UK organization tasked with providing safety, security, and advice to the Jewish community has found that anti-Semitic content is flourishing and is easily available on Instagram, especially in the form of hashtags.

The analysis published on Monday by the Community Security Trust (CST) concluded that users are discovering anti-Semitic content even if they are not necessarily searching for it, and in spit of their “intentions and chosen search terms.”

The reported warned that “for anti-Semitic content, this would appear to represent supply rather than demand.”

The report noted that numerous hashtags relating to anti-Semitism and links to posts featuring hateful content about Jews were viewed tens of thousands of times during the seven week period that was studied. (Read more)

1. Congressman: At Least 500 Americans Stranded in Afghanistan, Contradicting White House Estimates - The Epoch Times

Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.), whose office has been working to evacuate two elderly U.S. citizens from Afghanistan, said it’s likely that about 500 Americans remain stranded in the country, a figure that’s at odds with estimates provided by White House officials. “Unless we continue and get the rest of our American citizens, and all those otherwise eligible out, we won’t have done our job,” Issa told The Associated Press (AP), confirming the number. When including the family members of U.S. citizens, Issa said the number of people stranded in Afghanistan could be as high as 1,000.

Rep. Don Bacon (R-Neb.) stated to the news agency that the Biden administration needs to provide the full number of those left behind in the South Asian nation. “The problem is, it doesn’t include families,” he said. “They’re lowballing the numbers.”

White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain told CNN on Sept. 5 that he believes around 100 Americans remain inside Afghanistan, while President Joe Biden said last week that about 100 to 200 U.S. citizens remained. The final U.S. military evacuation flight was carried out from the Kabul airport one week ago, officially ending the 20-year-long U.S. involvement in the country. “We believe it’s around a hundred. We’re in touch with all of them who we’ve identified on a regular basis,” Klain, a top Biden deputy, told CNN. Some U.S. citizens and Afghan nationals are “coming out” of Afghanistan “by land” travel, he said. He noted that the White House is “continuing to work on efforts to get them out by air as well. We’re going to continue to move those [Special Immigrant Visa holders] out of the country.”

Other than Issa, some veteran-led rescue groups told AP that the estimate that no more than 200 Americans were left behind is too low.

Mike Jason, who runs a rescue operation known as Allied Airlift 21, told the news outlet that he believes the figure is far higher, saying it’s also misleading because it doesn’t include family members of Americans trapped there. Alex Plitsas, an Iraq War veteran who’s part of a rescue network known as Digital Dunkirk, said that in one day, he received calls from six Americans stuck in the country earlier this week and that none registered with the U.S. Embassy.

The White House figure could be off by hundreds, Plitsas, a former intelligence officer in Afghanistan, told AP. “Those names are starting to trickle out now,” he said. “I expect that number to rise significantly.” (Read more)

- Lord God, we thank You for the courage of Congressman Issa in confronting these figures, released by the White House, as false. Behind each figure lies a human life. We continue to cry out to You, O Lord, for Your Hand of divine intervention to reach down and rescue those who were left behind, in Your Mighty Name, amen and amen.

"For with God nothing will be impossible.” (Luke 1:37)

2. Blumenthal ‘furious’ at Biden administration over failing to secure evacuee planes - Washington Examiner

Sen. Richard Blumenthal took aim at the White House and State Department on Monday, saying he is “furious” over struggles to secure planes to evacuate a group of Americans and Afghan allies from Afghanistan. “I have been deeply frustrated, even furious, at our government’s delay and inaction,” Blumenthal, a Democrat who sits on the Senate Armed Services Committee, said. “I expect the White House and State Department to do everything in their power, absolutely everything, to make this happen. These are American citizens and Afghans who risked everything for our country. We cannot leave them behind.”

The Connecticut senator said he and his staff “have worked night and day” along with a coalition of nongovernmental organizations and former service members to secure two planes to evacuate a group of American citizens, Afghan allies, and their families from Afghanistan to Doha, Qatar, where many evacuees are being processed.  “I haven’t yet spoken publicly about these efforts because we worried that heightened attention would only escalate tensions and put these people at even greater risk of being targeted,” Blumenthal said. But efforts have run into roadblocks from the Biden administration, leaving the planes waiting in Mazar-e Sharif.

Other congressional offices coordinating evacuation efforts have reported similar frustrations with the State Department. The office of Rep. Dan Crenshaw, a Texas Republican, told the Washington Examiner last week that after securing a charter flight to evacuate a group, including American citizens, lawful permanent residents, and Special Immigrant Visa holders, the State Department pulled the clearance for the charter plane due to the ISIS-K bombing that killed 13 service members at the Kabul airport. They also had trouble getting the State Department to help coordinate overflight rights from Saudi Arabia and coordination to land in Jordan.

Criticisms of President Joe Biden’s handling of the Afghanistan withdrawal from within his own party have been building over the last several weeks. Sen. Bob Menendez, a New Jersey Democrat and chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, took an apparent swipe at the Biden administration for working with the Taliban to secure passage through Taliban-controlled areas after the bombing at Kabul airport: “As we wait for more details to come in, one thing is clear: We can’t trust the Taliban with Americans’ security.” (Read more)

- Ohhh Abba!  The disgust, contempt and outrage in this situation can become overwhelming, but we ask You Father to lead us through these 'politics for lives'.  It is unbelievable that these government people have such power, yet seem to disrespect this nation so deeply.  Please cause them to fulfill their job responsibilities and protect the lives of our citizens and those who look to us for help.

- "And He said to them, 'Assuredly, I say to you that there are some standing here who will not taste death till they see the kingdom of God present with power.'"    (Mark 9:1)

3.  'Hostage situation': Taliban refusing to let Americans, Afghan translators leave Afghanistan - Christian Post

Republican Rep. Michael McCaul of Texas, a ranking member on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, said Sunday that the Taliban are not letting flights ready to evacuate American civilians and allies leave Afghanistan and are “holding them hostage for demands.” The Taliban is preventing Americans and allies from leaving the country on six charter planes at Mazar-i-Sharif International Airport in northern Afghanistan and making demands of the U.S., McCaul told Fox News on Sunday. “In fact, we have six airplanes at Mazar-i-Sharif airport, six airplanes, with American citizens on them as I speak, also with these interpreters, and the Taliban is holding them hostage for demands right now,” McCaul said. “The Taliban wants something in exchange. This is really … turning into a hostage situation where they are not going to allow American citizens to leave until they get full recognition from the United States of America,” he added.

When "Fox News Sunday" host Chris Wallace asked how many Americans have been evacuated out of Afghanistan since the withdrawal deadline on Aug. 31, McCaul said, "I understand, zero."

The flights have permission to land in Doha “if and when the Taliban agrees to takeoff,” according to an email from the State Department to members of Congress, CBS News reported, quoting sources as saying that the planes are not currently loaded and the passengers are being held nearby.

In response to McCaul’s claim that Americans are essentially being held as hostages, a State Department spokesperson told The Hill on Sunday that since the U.S. no longer has an embassy or staff in Afghanistan, it cannot confirm the veracity of those reports. “Given these constraints, we also do not have a reliable means to confirm the basic details of charter flights, including who may be organizing them, the number of U.S. citizens and other priority groups on-board, the accuracy of the rest of the manifest, and where they plan to land, among many other issues,” the spokesperson said. "We understand the concern that many people are feeling as they try to facilitate further charter and other passage out of Afghanistan," the spokesperson added, noting that the Biden administration will “hold the Taliban to its pledge to let people freely depart Afghanistan.” (Read more)

- Father God, we come before You with this terrible situation that will take Your strong hand to cause the release of these men, women, and children from the talons of the Taliban.  Father, show Yourself strong in this matter, as those who should be acting on their behalf are not doing so.  Send Your angelic hosts to bring about freedom for these people.  We cry out to You in the name of Jesus.

4. Former UK PM Blair warns of renewed bio-terrorism threat; cites U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan - Just The News

Former British prime minister Tony Blair issued a warning on Monday to the West that they should be prepared for the potential use of biological weapons by extremist groups, citing Islamism as a "first order" security threat.

Following the chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan last month, Britain fears the return of the Taliban, as well as other Islamists and terrorists from such groups as al Qaeda and Islamic State, according to Reuters. "Islamism, both the ideology and the violence, is a first order security threat and, unchecked, it will come to us, even if centered far from us, as 9/11 demonstrated," said Blair.

Blair was speaking at The Royal United Services Institute (RUSI), the world's oldest and the UK's leading defense and security think tank to mark the twentieth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks by al Qaeda on the U.S. (Read more)

- Heavenly Father, thank You for this statement of truth from this former prime minister.  May our country and the world take heed to the danger that has been loosed upon the globe.  We seek Your intervention in this newly developed crisis to protect us from the plans of evil men and give our leaders better wisdom than they have had recently.  Father, we repent before You for transgressing Your laws and grieving Your Holy Spirit.  Raise up a praying remnant through whom You can work to preserve our country for Your purposes.

5.  South Korea develops submarine-launched missile often used to carry nuclear warheads - Washington Examiner

South Korean military developers reportedly conducted a successful test of a submarine-launched ballistic missile, an apparent boon for the U.S. ally’s effort to offset North Korea’s arsenal of conventional and nuclear weapons.

“It will provide the ROK Navy with a stand-off missile capability that can be very effective off the east coast of North Korea,” Foundation for Defense of Democracies senior fellow David Maxwell said.

The reported test endows South Korea with the curious distinction of being the only country known to develop submarine-launched ballistic missiles without also developing nuclear warheads, he added. South Korean officials have pledged recently to develop weapons “with significantly enhanced destructive power" as North Korean officials are preparing a military parade of their own.

"Our military secures advanced high-powered military assets to ensure peace on the Korean Peninsula by building strong military capabilities and plans to continue to develop them,” the South Korean defense ministry said , without directly confirming the test. (Read more)

- We pray for South Korea to be walking in Godly wisdom in all that they do militarily, but also in Godly courage.  They are in a most treacherous location, as is Taiwan and Japan.  May these nations all open themselves to receiving Your love and light, so that the goodness of God may be seen in the midst of the potential military conflicts, in Jesus name.

- "'And they will say to you, 'Look here!' or 'Look there!' Do not go after them or follow them.'"  (Luke 17:23)

6. Ballot initiative could require Massachusetts voters to show identification - Just The News

The Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office last week announced 16 proposed laws and one constitutional amendment that could appear on ballots statewide in 2022, including one that would require voters to show identification at polling places.

Currently, voters in Massachusetts do not have to provide identification, according to the Secretary of State website. They just have to give their address.

Proponents of the initiative now have to acquire 80,239 signatures from registered voters by Dec. 1, which will then be sent to the Legislature to be enacted by May 4, 2022. If the Legislature doesn’t act on the proposal, proponents would have to gather an additional 13,374 signatures from registered voters by July 6, 2022. (Read more)

Abba Father, we are dancing for joy!!! Thank you that this blue state hopes to enact Identification requirements for voters. May the proponents secure well beyond the required number of signatures for this initiative to appear on the ballots, prior to the May 4, 2022 elections. May those wishing to sign the petitions come out in droves in order to bolster voting integrity. We pray other states without ID requirements will follow after MA and soon be on the move, providing all means necessary to ensure honesty at the polls!

- "Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out."  (Proverbs 10:9)

7. Texas Gov. Greg Abbott signs controversial election integrity bill - Fox News

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott signed the state's controversial election integrity bill Tuesday after a months-long battle with Democrats opposed to the legislation. Abbott traveled to Tyler, Texas on Tuesday to sign SB 1, an election security bill that will set new rules for mail-in voting while increasing the number of partisan poll watchers and giving the state more control of local voting operations.

Abbott's signature comes after a long battle with Democrats who opposed the legislation, which included some lawmakers fleeing the state in a desperate attempt to block the law from being passed.

Those efforts came to an end last week after the Texas House passed the bill 80-41, with the Texas Senate voting 19-13 in favor of the new law. Both votes were almost completely along party lines. The governor signaled his intention to sign the legislation shortly after it passed in the legislature. (Read more)

- Mighty Lord, we praise You for the passage of this bill and pray that it will be implemented with all the voting safeguards against fraud that has been such a problem.  We pray for other states to follow suit.  We pray for the time of fraud, dishonesty, cheating, and lying to end concerning our precious right to have each honest vote count.

 8. Rand Paul says new Wuhan documents show Fauci lied - Fox News

Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., says newly public documents revealing the extent of U.S. funding of coronavirus research in Wuhan, China, show that National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) head Dr. Anthony Fauci lied during his previous testimony to Congress.
Fauci has adamantly denied that the National Institutes of Health funded gain-of-function research in Wuhan. Paul blasted Fauci in a Tuesday tweet, saying that the NIAID director had "lied again."
"And I was right about his agency funding novel Coronavirus research at Wuhan," Paul said.
Paul’s tweet followed a story in The Intercept that revealed the U.S. government pumped $3.1 million into American health organization EcoHealth Alliance to back bat coronavirus research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV).
According to the report, almost $600,000 of that federal moneywas partially used by the WIV to find and alter bat coronaviruses that could jump to humans and infect them.
Additionally, the documents revealed that experimental research on genetically engineered mice with human cell receptors was conducted at the Wuhan University Center for Animal Experiment, and not the WIV as previously thought.
"The documents make it clear that assertions by the NIH Director, Francis Collins, and the NIAID Director, Anthony Fauci, that the NIH did not support gain-of-function research or potential pandemic pathogen enhancement at WIV are untruthful," Rutgers University chemical biology professor Richard Ebright wrote in a Tuesday Twitter thread. (Read more)

- Holy King -- we thank You that You have placed a dogged tenacity for truth within Senator Rand Paul.  Guard his life and amplify his voice over this outrageous deception.  We ask that this case is put into the hands of powerful attorneys in the DOJ who will not compromise on their job responsibilities so that this case receives full attention.  We also ask for honest reporting in the media because there are countless lives that have been crushed because of the enhancement of the strength of this virus.

 9. Fed's enhanced, pandemic-related unemployment benefits end, with 10 million jobs open, few takers - Just The News

Federal unemployment benefits ended for millions of Americans this weekend, following more than a year of pandemic-induced expanded benefits for workers whose income was impacted by the onset of the coronavirus.

In March of 2020, the federal government raised the weekly unemployment benefit by $600 via the CARES Act and offered aid to workers who would typically be ineligible for state benefits. The program was twice extended, but Congress chose not to extend it a third time.

According to an estimate from the Century Foundation, close to 9 million people saw their benefits end over the weekend, and another 3 million saw them significantly reduced.
Despite a job market in search of roughly 10 million laborers, only 235,000 jobs were added in the month of August, a shockingly low figure compared to the widespread estimate of a 750,000. (Read more)

- Father God, we ask that those 12 million people affected by this ruling quickly find their place within the 10 million jobs available.  We ask Your perfect help for those truly needing help or training. Thank you, Lord, for the clear evidence that most people do get back to work when the aid stops, and that all then benefit as they do.

- "For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans for prosperity and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope."  (Jeremiah 29:11)

10. Brushing off Supreme Court rulings, Calif. county fines church as commercial enterprise - Just The News

While the state of California and multiple counties continue to settle with churches after imposing unconstitutional restrictions against them, one county is expanding its efforts to pursue damages against a church, claiming their worship services are a public nuisance.

In its latest request, filed Aug. 31, Calvary Chapel has asked the court to dismiss the public nuisance claim along with the $2.8 million in fines levied against it, arguing the county has not provided any evidence to support the accusation that the church has caused any harm to the public.

The battle between the county and the church began in late spring 2020 after the state and county encouraged residents to protest the death of George Floyd without numerical limitations or public health restrictions, even as the same authorities imposed severe constraints on houses of worship. (Read more)

- Father God, it grieves us that the anti-Christ spirit is alive and well in Santa Clara County as they sue Calvary Church for $2.8 million, calling its operation both a “public nuisance” and a commercial enterprise, ignoring rulings from SCOTUS. Lord, may these fines be rescinded and counties bypassing Supreme Court rulings be prosecuted. May Your people in CA and across the U.S. rise up in repentance, intercession and praise, causing the enemy to flee.  May freedom of religion be fully restored in our land!

- Now then let the fear of the Lord be upon you; be very careful what you do, for the Lord our God will have no part in unrighteousness or partiality or the taking of a bribe.  (II Chronicles 19:7)
11. Flash flood watch for New Orleans as half a million residents still without power - ABC News

A flash flood watch has been issued for New Orleans until late Monday night as Louisiana continues its path toward recovery following Hurricane Ida's disastrous touchdown.

Some regions of southern Louisiana could see two to four inches of heavy rain, threatening neighborhoods still picking up the pieces from one of the strongest hurricanes on record to hit the state.

Ida killed at least 11 people in Louisiana and initially left almost a million without power as it dumped more than 13 inches of rain in some communities. According to local utility company Entergy, Ida damaged or destroyed more than 14,000 poles, 2,223 transformers and 155 transmission structures.

Now, half a million customers remain without electricity more than a week later, according to PowerOutage.us. (Read more)

- Father, we pray for Louisiana and ask You to be their strength and source.  May the people suffering from the hurricane and now overflowing rains have a sense of Your presence and recognize the power of touching Your heart with theirs.  We ask You to cause this overwhelming water that is hitting them so hard, to be as the rivers of life instead, and stop the ripping up of their homes and communities, in Jesus name.

"'I have compassion on the multitude, because they have now continued with Me three days and have nothing to eat.'"  (Mark 8:2)

Biden admin stopped planes chartered by Glenn Beck charity from taking off, handed manifest over to Taliban

The U.S. State Department is responsible for interfering with the departure of several planes holding American citizens and Afghan nationals at the Mazar-i-Sharif airport, BlazeTV host Glenn Beck reported on-air during his radio show Tuesday.

What are the details?

The planes — which held at least 100 American citizens and 1,000 Afghan nationals — were chartered by Mercury One and The Nazarene Fund, a charity founded by Beck aimed at facilitating evacuations from Afghanistan amid the U.S. military's withdrawal and the Taliban's takeover of the country.

Over the weekend, news broke that multiple planes had been prevented from taking off after the Taliban refused to grant permission for the departure. But according to Beck, it wasn't the Taliban that initially stopped the planes from exiting the country.

Rather, it was the State Department that refused to grant landing clearance to the planes, preventing them from departing. The department allegedly called off the flights at the last minute, declining to approve the manifest. He added that U.S. officials went on to hand over the manifest to the Taliban.

"They were on the plane, they were on the tarmac, they were [in] the seats ... [and] ready to go" before State Department officials intervened and deboarded the plane, Beck explained Tuesday morning on his radio show. "They were told to go back into the airport and hand everything in to the Taliban."

"They were dismissed from the airport while the State Department works this out with the Taliban," he continued, noting that many of the passengers are now waiting things out in safe houses, "but not all."

"This was like the State Department sending up flares, saying [to the Taliban], 'Hey, look over here,'" he added later. The radio personality insisted that his team is working tirelessly to complete its mission despite the recent setback.

"We had all of it," he said on the radio. "We'll have to go back and get the people now for those planes. But as soon as we get the green light, those people will be able to go back on to those planes. And if there's one missing, I swear to you ... We have also eight to 10 other planes that are ready to fly out if the State Department will just let us be." (Read more)

O Lion of Judah!!!  We ROAR at the appalling level of contempt and injustice being exercised by this government!!!  We cry out for them to be removed and replaced by those who honor the integrity of our God-fearing, covenant nation and righteousness!  Jesus, it is time to bind up these bad actors here on earth and in heaven.  Would You please remove them to a place where they can encounter You, Your word, Your truth and repentance, in Jesus name.  Please intervene on behalf of these people stranded and bring forth freedom and justice, for Your glory!  Amen.

US top diplomat Blinken visits Qatar in wake of Taliban takeover
From left: US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, Qatari Minister of Defense Khalid bin Mohamed Al Attiyah, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken Qatari Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani met in Doha.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin have met with Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and other top Qatari officials in Doha for talks on Afghanistan – shortly after the Taliban claimed to have taken full control of the country.

Blinken and Austin are the most senior US officials to visit the Gulf since the Taliban’s lightning seizure of Afghanistan in August.

Qatar, which hosts a major US airbase, has been the gateway for 58,000 people airlifted out of Afghanistan, nearly half the total number evacuated by US-led forces after the Taliban’s takeover, Blinken said on Tuesday.

In a meeting with Qatar’s emir on Monday night, Blinken thanked the Gulf state ruler for “Qatar’s extraordinary support in facilitating the safe transit of US citizens, our partners, and other Afghans at risk” during the US’s chaotic military pullout from Afghanistan, according to a Department of State readout.

On Tuesday, Blinken and Austin met with Qatari Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani and defence chief Khalid bin Mohamed Al Attiyah.

Blinken said Washington would continue to work with Qatar and other regional partners to evacuate US citizens and vulnerable Afghans from Afghanistan.

The Daily Jot

The Heartbeat Of Texas

The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, September 7, 2021

On September 1, the US Supreme Court denied a bid to stop Texas from banning abortions after a fetal heartbeat is detected. Democrat politicians from the President on down condemned the act, prompting Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) to announce an investigation of the Supreme Court for abuse of power. The meltdown among celebrities was demonstrated by Cher tweeting, “Democracy will wither & die, & dictators will thrive” because of the new law. Newsweek contributor Richard Hanania said that if the law spread to “red” states, “we could see a world where they have five times as many children with Down syndrome, and similar numbers for other disabilities.” This is indicative of the hypocrisy of the left and a forerunner of the evil to come.

The Texas Heartbeat law mandates that “a physician may not knowingly perform or induce an abortion on a pregnant woman unless the physician has determined, in accordance with this section, whether the woman’s unborn child has a detectable fetal heartbeat.” There is strict accountability on doctors performing abortions for “health of the pregnant woman.” There are exceptions for rape, incest, and sexual assault. Any person may bring civil action against those violating the law, including those who “engage in conduct that aids or abets the performance or inducement of an abortion, including paying for or reimbursing the costs of an abortion through insurance or otherwise, if the abortion is performed or induced in violation of this subchapter, regardless of whether the person knew or should have known that the abortion would be performed or induced.” Read More

Group Inspired by Trump's 1776 Commission Launches Campaign Designating September 'Patriotic Education Month'

A group influenced by former President Donald Trump's 1776 Commission started a campaign that identifies September as "Patriotic Education Month" in an effort to "counter false and misleading accounts of American history" in schools.

The initiative encourages leaders across the country to proclaim September as Patriot Education Month so as to "promote an honest and patriotic history that celebrates the history of progress that defines our nation and the heroes and patriots who have led the way."

When asked about the campaign, President of 1776 Action, Adam Waldeck told Fox News that, "For good reason, there's been a lot of attention on the divisive, ideological agenda being forced on students. But while we fight that, we must also teach our youngest citizens why they should be proud to be Americans."

He added, "From Washington to Lincoln to Rev. King to Rosa Parks we are a land of heroes, and the values that they all fought and sacrificed for should not be shunned but celebrated. Patriotic Education Month is one way to get started."

The group will host a "Rally to Save our Schools" on Sept. 8 in Loudoun County, Virginia where former Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Ben Carson is due to speak.

The event comes at a time with parents and teachers expressing great concern over the education system implementing a controversial critical race theory curriculum along with measures that favor transgender students. (CBN) Read more.

- Father God, we are thrilled to see this initiative being launched, as we sense is it time for our own voices to be heard, too. We ask that Your Hand of protection would rest upon all who are working on this project, and we bless them in Your name, amen.

- "This is what the LORD says: “Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls." (Jeremiah 6:16)

Second Temple Period quarry uncovered in Jerusalem at Har Hotzvim, September 2021.
2,000-year-old quarry found to supply
stones for ancient Jerusalem
Archaeologists uncover the site in the hi-tech hub of Har Hotzvim, the Hebrew name for ‘Quarrymen’s Hill.’

Har Hotzvim, one of Jerusalem’s main hi-tech hubs, owes its name, which in Hebrew means “Quarrymen’s Hill,” to a much more ancient industrial activity: It is where archaeologists from the Antiquities Authority have uncovered a quarry dating back some 2,000 years, the IAA revealed Sunday.

The quarry was discovered during a salvage excavation before a new building project was set to begin. According to law, a salvage excavation must accompany all construction projects.

“The large-scale building projects in ancient Jerusalem, such as the Temple Mount, required a vast amount of building materials and the ability to organize and coordinate the quarrying and transportation of thousands of building blocks to the ancient city,” IAA excavation director Moran Hagbi said. Operation Blessing Delivers Meals and Supplies as Thousands Still Without Power After Hurricane Ida

New Orleans Mayor Latoya Cantrell is promising accountability after five residents died in privately run facilities.

"What we found was unacceptable and accountability will be across the board," said Cantrell in a news conference.

So far, power has been restored to two-thirds of New Orleans but other parts of the state could be in the dark for several more weeks.

CBN's Operation Blessing is on the ground in Houma, Louisiana helping with clean up and delivering much-needed supplies and meals.

"Our volunteers have gone out to the field to clean up debris, muck and gut houses, put tarps on roofs and even today we were able to go to the Houma, Louisiana Police Department and deliver 150 meals to a very hungry police department," explained Blake Mueller with Operation Blessing. (Read more)

Thoughts for Repentance
40 Days of Prayer

LEFT YOUR FIRST LOVE | DAY 22
This is day twenty two in our journey. Join us even if you are beginning today. Each day starting Saturday August 7 we have posted a sin which the Lord would have us confess and remove through personal repentance. God willing, these 40 days will lead us to the Day of Atonement, Yom Kippur September 15.

Today the sin is leaving your first Love.

There's a SPIRITUAL DROUGHT in every nation on the planet. We are not yet honoring the Authority of the Risen Christ that He revealed in Matthew 28:18: " ALL authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth."

He Keeps Me Singing

To listen to this classic hymn, CLICK HERE

Words and Music: Luther Bridgers

Scripture: He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Psalm 40:3

Lyrics:
There’s within my heart a melody
Jesus whispers sweet and low,
Fear not, I am with thee, peace, be still,
In all of life’s ebb and flow.

Refrain
Jesus, Jesus, Jesus,
Sweetest name I know,
Fills my every longing,
Keeps me singing as I go.

All my life was wrecked
By sin and strife,
Discord filled my heart with pain,
Jesus swept across the broken strings,
Stirred the slumbering chords again.

Refrain

Feasting on the riches of His grace,
Resting ’neath His sheltering wing,
Always looking on His smiling face,
That is why I shout and sing.

Refrain

Though sometimes He leads
Through waters deep,
Trials fall across the way,
Though sometimes the path
Seems rough and steep,
See His footprints all the way.

Refrain

Soon He’s coming back
To welcome me,
Far beyond the starry sky;
I shall wing my flight
To worlds unknown,
I shall reign with Him on high.
