‘The most radical abortion bill of all time’: House to vote this week on codifying ‘right’ to abortion
|
|
The House this week will vote on a bill that the U.S. bishops’ conference warns would effectively impose abortion on-demand throughout pregnancy.
The Women’s Health Protection Act (H.R. 3755), introduced by Rep. Judy Chu (D-Calif.), recognizes the “statutory right” of women to have abortions. It also states the “right” of doctors, certified nurse-midwives, nurse practitioners and doctor’s assistants to perform abortions. It prohibits many limitations on this right, such as state pro-life laws requiring ultrasounds or waiting periods before abortions.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), a Catholic, announced the House vote on the bill earlier this month after a Texas law went into effect restricting abortions after detection of a fetal heartbeat; a fetal heartbeat can be detected as early as six weeks into pregnancy. The Texas law is enforced through private civil lawsuits.
After the Supreme Court rejected a challenge to the law on Sept. 1, Pelosi vowed to bring up the Women’s Health Protection Act and “enshrine into law reproductive health care for all women across America.” The bill is scheduled to be voted on this week in the House.

Dear Friends,
Pray for America on Friday morning (9am EDT) as the House
debates legislation that would override state laws protecting life and
mandate abortion on demand until birth. Pray that the words of our mouths
and the mediations of our hearts will be pleasing in God's sight. Pray that
our speech will be with grace, seasoned with salt so we will know how to
answer with grace and truth. Pray for a time of hope and HEALING!
Stir our hearts and move our spirits like in Exodus 35:21 "All whose hearts were
stirred and whose spirits were moved came and brought their sacred offerings
to the Lord." Exodus 35:22 We pray for conviction of sin and a time of
repentance in the U.S. Both men and women came - all whose hearts were
willing." Pray the Spirit of the Living God will come and pierce the
darkness and fall afresh on the House chamber of the United States of
America.
May we be defenders of truth, humility, and justice. Help us Lord
God Almighty. We can do nothing without You! Come Holy Spirit. Plow the
hard ground of our hearts. Break our hearts for the things that break Your
heart. Breakthrough on Friday in the House of Representatives - may Friday
be a new day -- breakthrough with hope and healing! We pray for new hearts

The holiday of Sukkot is upon us, when Jews around the world will take part in very visibly iconic rituals such as eating in outdoor structures called sukkahs, shaking the four species and more.
Also known as Zman Simhatenu, or the time of celebration, the holiday of Sukkot is biblical in origin and is described in the Book of Numbers.
The holiday is marked as one of the three pilgrimage festivals (shalosh regalim), along with Passover and Shavuot, where in ancient times, Jews would travel to Jerusalem and offer sacrifices at the Temple. (Jerusalem Post) Read more.

1. Ohio mayor orders school board to resign or face criminal charges over 'child pornography' taught in schools - Christian Post
The mayor of a city in Ohio ordered the school board to either resign or face criminal charges for allowing high school students to be exposed to course material that he described as “child pornography.”
At the Hudson City School District Board of Education meeting Monday, Hudson Mayor Craig Shubert, a Republican, addressed the school board, saying, “It has come to my attention that your educators are distributing essentially what is child pornography in the classroom. I have spoken to a judge this evening; she has already confirmed that.
“I’m going to give you a simple choice: You either choose to resign from this board of education or you will be charged,” he added. The crowd gathered at the board meeting erupted into applause following Shubert’s speech.
The course material that raised concerns for Shubert and many parents and students who attended the school board meeting is called, 642 Things to Write About, one of several required texts for composition in the liberal arts II, a college-level English course offered at Hudson High School in conjunction with Hiram College.
The man listed one of the prompts students were asked to write about, including “explain a time when you wanted to orgasm but couldn’t.” He alleged that “students were told not to take the book home” so that their parents would not be aware of the material their children were exposed to at school. 2. New York Gov Says Religious Exemptions Not Legitimate Reason to Forgo COVID Vaccine - FaithWire
New York Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) said this week she does not believe health care workers in the Empire State should be permitted to forgo vaccination against COVID-19 via religious exemptions.
Hochul, a Democrat who took the place of disgraced former Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D), made the comments in response to a court decision temporarily upholding the rights of some in the medical community who have refused the inoculation citing their religious beliefs, according to WAMC-FM.
The governor told reporters her administration intentionally excluded religious exemptions from its mandate requiring all health care workers receive their shots by Sept. 27.
“I’m not aware of a sanctioned religious exemption from any organized religion,” she said with a slight hesitation in her voice. “In fact, they are encouraging the opposite. Everybody from the Pope on down is encouraging people to get vaccinated.” (Read more)

3. Chinese whistleblower claims first COVID outbreak was INTENTIONAL - Daily Mail
A whistleblower has sensationally claimed China deliberately spread Covid at a military tournament two months before the rest of the world knew about the deadly virus. Ex-Chinese Communist Party insider Wei Jingsheng said The World Military Games in October 2019 could have acted as the virus' first superspreader event.
The international tournament for military athletes was held in Wuhan - the origin of the Covid-19 pandemic - two months before China notified the World Health Organisation about its first cases. Mr Jingsheng claimed it was no coincidence some of the 9,000 international athletes who gathered for the event reportedly became sick with a mystery illness.
'I thought the Chinese government would take this opportunity to spread the virus during the Military Games, as many foreigners would show up there,' he told the new Sky News documentary What Really Happened in Wuhan. The whistleblower claimed he had heard of the Chinese government carrying out an 'unusual exercise' during the games.
'[I knew] of the possibility of the Chinese government using some strange weapons, including biological weapons, because I knew they were doing experiments of that sort,' he said. (Read more)

4. Biden To Announce US Purchasing Half A Billion More Vaccines To Donate Around The World - Daily Caller
President Joe Biden will announce Wednesday that the U.S. is purchasing an additional half a billion COVID-19 vaccines for low- and lower-middle income countries, according to senior administration officials.
The U.S. previously vowed to donate over 600 million COVID-19 vaccines to areas in need across the world. The administration has so far seen almost 160 million doses shipped to 100 countries and this new promise will bring the U.S. to over 1.1 billion donated vaccines.
The additional 500 million COVID-19 vaccines being purchased by the U.S. are all Pfizer doses, a senior administration official said. Biden will announce the move at the beginning of a virtual COVID Summit on Wednesday morning, the official added.
The new Pfizer doses will be made in the U.S. and will begin shipping to other countries in January. The administration’s goal is to send around 800 million vaccines to countries across the world from January through September of 2022. (Read more)
- Lord God with all of the information coming to light about how horrible these vaccines are it is unbelievable that our president would be spending so much money to send these all over the world. We have so many questions, why? What is the point and what is the end goal of all this? And while we may not know these answers, we continue to pray that the evil behind these vaccination attempts would be exposed in Jesus name.

5. Bill Gates squirms as PBS' Judy Woodruff grills him on past ties to Jeffrey Epstein - Fox News
Microsoft co-founder and billionaire philanthropist Bill Gates struggled with his responses when asked about his past ties to convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein during an interview with PBS NewsHour anchor Judy Woodruff.
Woodruff began the exchange by confronting Gates about the "number of meetings" he had with the shady billionaire, who at the time was already found guilty of soliciting prostitution from minors. “What did you know about him when you were meeting with him, as you said yourself, in the hopes of raising money?" Woodruff asked.
"You know, I've said I regretted having those dinners," Gates told Woodruff. "And there's nothing- absolutely nothing new on that. Well, he's dead, so…" Gates shrugged, adding, "You know, in general, you always have to be careful and, you know, and I'm very proud of what we've done in philanthropy, very proud of the work of the foundation. 6. House OKs debt and funding plan, inviting clash with GOP - AP News
The House voted late Tuesday to keep the government funded, suspend the federal debt limit and provide disaster and refugee aid, setting up a high-stakes showdown with Republicans who oppose the package despite the risk of triggering a fiscal crisis.
The federal government faces a shutdown if funding stops on Sept. 30, the end of the fiscal year — midnight next Thursday. Additionally, at some point in October the U.S. risks defaulting on its accumulated debt load if its borrowing limits are not waived or adjusted.
Rushing to prevent that dire outcome, the Democratic-led House passed the measure by a party-line vote of 220-211. The bill now goes to the Senate, where it is likely to falter because of overwhelming GOP opposition. (Read more)

7. Project Veritas releases bombshell whistleblower video of HHS federal employees - DML News
Project Veritas founder James O’Keefe has released a shocking undercover whistleblower video, featuring a registered nurse who works for U.S. Health and Human Services (HHS).
The video is labeled “Part I,” implying there is more to come.
The video features multiple medial professionals voicing their concern and outrage over medical issues some patients are experiencing, which they suspect were complications from the coronavirus vaccine
U.S. Health and Human Services [HHS] insider, Jodi O’Malley, who works as a Registered Nurse at the local Indian Medical Center.
O’Malley told Project Veritas founder James O’Keefe about what has been going on at her federal government facility. She recorded her HHS colleagues discussing their concerns about the new COVID vaccine to corroborate her assertions. (Read more)

8. Bush to host fundraiser for Liz Cheney, while Trump backs candidate to replace congresswoman - Just The News
Former President George W. Bush will hold a fundraiser next month for embattled Wyoming GOP Rep. Liz Cheney, pitting them against former President Trump and his endorsed candidate to unseat her.
Trump is waging an aggressive campaign against Cheney, whom he has labeled a party-traitor for reasons including her vote in to impeach him over the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.
Earlier this month, Trump threw his support behind candidate Harriet Hageman to take Cheney's seat.
The event is scheduled for Oct. 18 in Dallas and will be co-hosted by longtime Bush political adviser Karl Rove, and former Texas GOP. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchinson. Cheney's father, Dick Cheney, served for two terms as Bush's vice president. The event will be Bush's first foray into the 2022 cycle.

9. Incoming ambassador to Israel: US remains committed to Israel's security - Jerusalem Post
WASHINGTON - Thomas Nides, President Biden’s nominee to serve as Ambassador to Israel, appeared on Wednesday before the Senate Foreign as part of his confirmation process.
He vowed to support the Abraham Accords, to oppose BDS, and to “advancing the bonds between our people,” including the visa waiver program.
Nides appeared before the committee alongside four other nominees for different State Department positions. A vote on their respective nominations is expected to take place at another date.
“The United States remains unwavering in its commitment to Israel’s security, supported by our 10-year, $38 billion Memorandum of Understanding,” he said.
Speaking about the Iranian threat, Nides said that President Biden “has made clear his commitment to ensure that Iran never develops a nuclear weapon,” and that “upholding Israel’s security serves America’s national security interests and ensures that we will always have a strong, reliable, and secure partner.” (Read more)

10. Biden: 'We are prepared to return to full compliance' with the JCPOA if Iran does the same - Jerusalem Post
US President Joe Biden called on Iran to return to the nuclear deal and said Israelis and Palestinians were still a “long way” from two-states, when he delivered his first high-level address to the UN General Assembly on Tuesday.
“We are working with the P5+1 to engage Iran diplomatically, to seek a return to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action. We are prepared to return to full compliance if Iran does the same,” Biden said.
He voiced support for the two-state solution but recognized that we are “long way from that goal at the moment.”
“The commitment of United States to Israel’s security is without question and our support for an independent Jewish state is unequivocal, but I continue to believe that the two-state solution is the best way to ensure Israel’s future as a Jewish democratic state, living in peace, alongside a viable, sovereign and democratic Palestinian state,” said Biden. “We’re a long way from that goal at this moment, but we must never allow ourselves to give up on the possibility of progress.” (Read more)

A game us old horse breeders played to amuse ourselves and tease our brains was asking each other a question that began with: What would you get when you cross a…? We would make up different scenarios to try to guess the offspring, even down to the second or third generation. It seems that all of America has been playing this game for a while and the results are profound because the common sense gene pool has been getting worse and worse, with no new good blood coming into the picture. The result might be a mindset of people that want to cure inflation by increasing spending, or control the weather with more taxes, or stop a disease by quarantining healthy people. Hmmm. Let’s see how it works.

La Palma volcano news: Thousands evacuated as eruption sparks toxic gas fears

At least 10,000 people may have to be evacuated after a volcano erupted on the Spanish Canary Island of La Palma on Sunday, as authorities warned lava flowing into the sea could release toxic gas.
Over 160 homes have been destroyed since the eruption with some 6,000 people ordered to leave their homes in villages close to the volcano.
Lava streaming from the volcano is now close to reaching the sea, sparking concerns the flow could mix with saltwater to produce “explosions and the emission of toxic gases”, according to the crisis team at the Canary Islands Volcano Emergency Plan (Pevolca).
Experts have warned that a large explosion of water steam could be triggered once the lava tongue, which has a temperature of more than 1,000C, makes contact with the sea.
The steam plume resulting from the explosion could cause hydrochloric acid and small volcanic glass particles to fall, though it is unclear when this will happen.
Meanwhile, some 360 tourists were evacuated following the eruption and taken to the nearby island of Tenerife by boat on Monday, a spokesperson for ferry operator Fred Olsen said. Read More

Rep. Bob Gibbs introduces articles of impeachment against Biden

Ohio Republican Rep. Bob Gibbs introduced articles of impeachment against President Joe Biden on Tuesday, citing his handling of the U.S.-Mexico border situation, attempt to expand the federal moratorium on evictions, and the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Afghanistan.
Republican Reps. Andy Biggs of Arizona and Brian Babin and Randy Weber of Texas signed on as co-sponsors of the impeachment resolution.
“I take this seriously. I don't think it's haphazard. I'm not trying to get media attention for myself,” Gibbs told the Washington Examiner in an interview. “He’s done so much damage to this country in less than nine months, which is really scary.”
“He's not capable of being commander in chief, and that's obvious by the actions since Day One when he took the presidency back in January,” Gibbs said. (Washington Examiner)

US, Russian military chiefs meet in Helsinki for six hours
|

The top U.S. military officers from United States and Russia held six hours of talks in Helsinki on Wednesday, in the first face-to-face meeting between them since 2019 as both nations adjust to the U.S. pullout and Taliban takeover in Afghanistan.
General Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and Russia's chief of general staff, Valery Gerasimov, do not typically disclose the details of their discussions and statements from both sides were minimal.
A U.S. military statement, that included details on the length of the meeting but not the agenda, said the talks were aimed at "risk reduction and operational de-confliction." Russia's RIA news agency reported the talks were aimed at discussions on risk mitigation.
The United States and Russia have often competing military interests around the world, including in countries like Syria, where U.S. and Russian forces have operated in close proximity. How Washington and Moscow navigate next steps in Afghanistan remains to be seen.
The U.S. military is under pressure from Congress to shore up a counter-terrorism strategy to address risks from Afghanistan following the U.S. withdrawal and Taliban takeover in August. President Joe Biden's administration has said it would rely on "over-the-horizon" operations that could strike groups like al Qaeda or Islamic State in Afghanistan if they threaten the United States.
But, with no troops on the ground, the extent of Washington's ability to detect and halt plots is unclear. After 20 years of war, U.S. military officials also have a dim view of the Taliban and note its ties to al Qaeda.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has said Moscow needs to work with the Taliban government and that world powers should consider unfreezing Afghanistan's assets. (Reuters) Read more here.

NASA Finds 2021 Arctic Summer Sea Ice 12th-Lowest on Record
|

Sea ice in the Arctic appears to have hit its annual minimum extent on Sept. 16, after waning in the 2021 Northern Hemisphere spring and summer. The summertime extent is the 12th-lowest in the satellite record, according to scientists at the NASA-supported National Snow and Ice Data Center and NASA.
This year, the minimum extent of Arctic sea ice dropped to 4.72 million square miles (1.82 million square kilometers). Sea ice extent is defined as the total area in which ice concentration is at least 15%.
The average September minimum extent record shows significant declines since satellites began measuring consistently in 1978. The last 15 years (2007 to 2021) are the lowest 15 minimum extents in the 43-year satellite record.

My life flows on in endless song;
Above earth’s lamentation
I hear the sweet though far off hymn
That hails a new creation:
Through all the tumult and the strife

What though my joys and comforts die?
