TODAY'S TOP STORY
Pentagon Withdraws 120 US Troops From Israel
The Department of Defense confirmed it is pulling 120 troops from Israel amid a flare-up in tensions between Jerusalem and designated terrorist groups in Gaza. Pentagon press secretary John Kirby told reporters that U.S. Central Command and U.S. European Command staff flew on a C-17 military plane from Israel and arrived at Germany’s Ramstein Air Base on Thursday. “We made this decision to remove these individuals in coordination with our Israeli counterparts,” Kirby said, adding that the military staff “were in Israel for a routine planning event” before the fighting escalated. The move was done as a precaution, Kirby said.

Israel carried out a number of airstrikes on targets in Gaza in recent days, including hitting buildings that were reportedly being used by Hamas—the group that rules over Gaza and was designated as a terrorist group by the State Department in 1997. The airstrikes were in response to Hamas and other groups firing rockets into Israel. Israel’s military also confirmed it built up its presence along the border with the Gaza Strip and the Israeli Air Force bombed an underground tunnel network used by Hamas late on Thursday, according to the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) in a statement to the Jerusalem Post.

In the tunnel bombing incident, the Israeli operation included 160 aircraft as well as tanks and artillery firing from outside the Gaza Strip, Israeli military spokesman Lt. Col. Jonathan Conricus said. Palestinian rocket barrages against southern Israel swiftly followed. “What we were targeting is an elaborate system of tunnels that spans underneath Gaza, mostly in the north but not limited to, and is a network that the operatives of Hamas use in order to move, in order to hide, for cover,” Conricus told foreign reporters about the network.

Within the United States, leftist groups and some Democrats in Congress attempted to place pressure on the Biden administration to condemn Israel. However, the White House, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), and numerous Republicans have said that Israel has the right to defend itself. “In our view, attacks from Hamas into civilian neighborhoods is not self-defense, so he certainly reiterated that, but also reiterated the need to move to de-escalate the situation on the ground,” White House press secretary Jen Psaki told reporters this week. - Almighty God, we pray You remind the Pentagon and others in America of the truth that (1) God left His Name in Israel; (2) Jerusalem is the center of the world; and (3) God's hand is upon Israel.  Father, bring about miracles like happened on Friday through You showing the commander military intelligence that saved thousands of lsraeli lives. God, lift any interference off the Israeli IDF that comes from the uninformed on the sidelines.  Anoint the Israelis with godly wisdom on the front lines who are in hand-to-hand combat with Hamas terrorists in Gaza firing the rockets into Israel.  Redeem the Israelis by the Blood of Jesus and speak miracles over the Land. Father, destroy by Your power every rocket-launcher in Gaza.  Stop instantly the rockets fired into Israel.  In the mighty Name of Jesus we pray.

- "For Israel is a holy people unto the Lord your God: the Lord your God has chosen you to be a special people unto Himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth."  (Deuteronomy 7:6)
FOCUS ON ISRAEL

1. IDF strikes Hamas intelligence compound in Gaza as Israel defends targets - Jerusalem Post

In the early hours of Monday morning, the IDF carried out a joint operation between its cyber, intelligence and air force units to strike a Hamas intelligence compound in Gaza, the IDF Spokesperson said.

IDF fighter jets are carrying out widespread attacks on terrorist targets throughout the Gaza Strip, concentrating in the vicinity of Gaza City, the IDF added. The airstrike on the Hamas target came as rocket sirens continued to blare throughout the night in Ashkelon and Beersheba, with two separate barrages being aimed at each city.

IDF Spokesperson Brig.-Gen. Hidai Zilberman deflected criticism of the military's actions in the Gaza Strip on Sunday and particularly the bombing of a building with media offices on Saturday. (Read more)

2. 'Israel has enough targets to keep striking Hamas in Gaza' - IDF officers - Jerusalem Post

As the fighting between the Israeli military and terror groups in the Gaza Strip continues, officers from the IDF’s target bank are working day and night under fire to provide the military with what it needs.

Speaking to The Jerusalem Post from southern Israel in between incoming rocket sirens, Maj. T., head of the Surface-to-Surface Rockets and Mortars Department, said his team has been building its target bank for over a year-and-a-half with officers from the Air Force, Military Intelligence and the Artillery Corps.

In early May, the head of the IDF’s Operations Directorate Maj.-Gen. Aharon Haliva ordered the IAF to refresh its target bank and to be ready for a deterioration in the security situation in Gaza.

A week later, Hamas fired several rockets toward Jerusalem, leading the IDF to open “Guardian of the Walls,” striking hundreds of targets belonging to Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad. (Read more)

3. Israel headed for direct elections?- Israel National News

Yamina chief MK Naftali Bennett gave his word to Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu that if a government cannot be formed, the fifth elections held will be for the position of prime minister, and not a general election for the entire Knesset, Yediot Aharonot reported.

The goal in such elections would be that Bennett and MK Gideon Sa'ar, who chairs New Hope, will not need to run for Knesset again and risk that they will not pass the electoral threshold.

Yediot Aharonot quoted a source in New Hope who said Thursday that, "We do not think that there is a chance of forming a 'government of change,' because Bennett has ruled it out, but we do not intend to join a government led by Netanyahu, and we also oppose direct elections." (Read more)

4. Yamina Makes Clear to Likud: Lapid Deal Not Dead Yet - Jewish Press

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday met with the Likud’s negotiating team regarding continued contacts with Yamina chairman Naftali Bennett, and according to Kan 11 News, Yamina officials had sent a message to the Likud that “the deal with the [‘Shinui’] change bloc is not dead yet.” The change bloc is the ever-illusive coalition of right-to-left parties and the Arabs whose one unifying goal is the removal of Netanyahu from his official residence on Balfour Street.

Those Yamina sources said that should negotiations between their party and Likud are not quick and serious, they have not yet taken off the table the possibility of joining the anti-Bibi forces in the Knesset.

Last Thursday, journalist Yair Sherki, who is close to the religious Zionist camp, reported that Bennett had ended talks with Yesh Atid chairman Yair Lapid and resumed negotiations with the Likud party, because, according to Bennett, a government that would rely on the Islamic Ra’am party would not be able to function in the current security situation. (Read more)

5. Bennett to consider all options ahead of Yesh Atid deadline to form gov't - Jerusalem Post

Yamina leader Naftali Bennett will consider all coalition possibilities ahead of the June 2 deadline for Yesh Atid leader Yair Lapid to form a government, sources in Yamina revealed to The Jerusalem Post on Saturday night.

Bennett told Lapid on Thursday that forming a government of change with Ra’am (United Arab List) head Mansour Abbas was off the table.

But sources in Yamina said the decision was not final and Bennett made a point of never saying it to the cameras or in an official press release or statement on social media.
While Bennett cited the recent spate of violence between Arabs and Jews in mixed cities as his reason for not enabling a government with Abbas, sources in Yamina said it was more the protests outside the homes of Yamina MKs that led to the decision. (Read more)

1. Fuel Shortages Ease as Colonial Pipeline Has Resumed 'Normal Operations' - The Epoch Times

A major fuel pipeline in the Eastern U.S. has resumed “normal operations,” its operator announced on Saturday. “We have returned the system to normal operations, delivering millions of gallons per hour to the markets we serve,” Colonial Pipeline said in a statement.

The Georgia-based firm initiated the restart of the approximately 5,500-mile pipeline, which stretches from Houston, Texas, to Linden, New Jersey, on Wednesday, but said at the time it would take several days for operations to fully resume.

Markets served by the pipeline include Louisiana, Georgia, and Maryland.

About 13,450 stations were out of fuel on Saturday, a drop from 16,315 that could not serve customers two days prior, according to GasBuddy.

Shortages eased in some of the hardest-hit states, including North Carolina, Virginia, and Georgia. Some four out of five stations remain out of fuel in Washington, with about half without gas in Georgia and North Carolina.

Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm has predicted normal service at gas pumps by late Sunday. (Read more)

- Father God, we pray people's hearts will be drawn to prayer, Lord God, for their necessary needs. We ask that in all things, Jesus will be the strength of their hearts, the center of their lives, the guide for their future, and the joy of their souls.  In Jesus' Name we pray.

2. Dominion, Maricopa County Rebuff Arizona Senate’s Attempt to Get Election Machine Passwords - The Epoch Times

Dominion Voting Systems and Maricopa County officials are refusing to hand over passwords for election machines to auditors in Arizona. Dominion said in a statement to news outlets on May 13 that it would comply with the audit, but Cyber Ninjas, the firm hired by the Arizona Senate to conduct it along with three other companies, is not accredited by the U.S. Election Assistance Commission.
“Releasing Dominion’s intellectual property to an unaccredited, biased, and plainly unreliable actor such as Cyber Ninjas would be reckless, causing irreparable damage to the commercial interests of the company and the election security interests of the country,” Dominion said. “No company should be compelled to participate in such an irresponsible act.”
Cyber Ninjas did not respond to a request for comment.
Maricopa County officials previously said that they did not have passwords to access administrative functions on Dominion Voting Systems machines that were used to scan ballots during the election, according to the Senate’s audit liaison, former Republican Secretary of State Ken Bennett. “They’ve told us that they don’t have that second password, or that they’ve given us all the passwords they have,” Bennett told One America News at the site of the audit in Phoenix last week.
The county is also withholding routers from auditors, claiming security concerns. (Read more)

- Holy One, this is such an important concern here for the future of our nation.  There are powerful deceptions and accusations being cast, causing us to feel like we are held captive by them.  Yet, we know You are the Righteous Judge and it is written that ". . . the truth will set you free" (John 8:32).  Therefore, we will not stop asking You for justice and truth over the integrity of the Maricopa County forensic audit and full provision of resources.  It is at the forefront of the battle and we beseech You to compel the truth over it and let Your light shine victoriously.

3. Michigan Senate Subpoenas Documents Over Gov. Whitmer’s Handling of Nursing Homes - The Epoch Times

The Michigan Senate Oversight Committee issued a subpoena Thursday requiring documents relating to Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s handling of nursing homes during the pandemic after its initial request had been ignored for more than two months. The committee issued a subpoena to the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) asking for all documents and communications relating to COVID-19 policies and information, including policies involving long-term, congregate care facilities.

Oversight Committee chairman Edward McBroom said during the meeting that the committee sent out the initial request on March 2 and a follow-up request on April 8, but thus far, “we’ve received completely nothing.”

Emily Schwarzkopf, director of MDHHS’s legislative, appropriations, and constituent services, explained that the request would result in the identification of over 55,000 documents with an estimated cost of $70,000. She said the department doesn’t have dedicated staff or funding to fulfill these requests, but added the department “intends to comply with a request from the committee whether a subpoena is issued or not.”

Senate oversight committee vice-chair Lana Theis noted that a subpoena is necessary. “Every time we send something, and we get something back, it sounds like they’re parsing everything out. So it appears obvious that that department is trying to avoid producing the information,” Theis said.

The committee voted 3-0 to issue a subpoena. The only Democrat in the committee, Jeff Irvin, was absent. (Read more)

- Father God, we ask that this subpoena be the beginning of cleaning up the "deep state" of affairs in every nursing home facility in America.  We cry out for the helpless, aged people in these facilities. God, we pray Gov. Whitmer will be held responsible for her handling of nursing homes.  In the Name of Jesus we pray.

- "He that says he is in the light, and hates his brother is in darkness even until now. But he that hates his brother is in darkness, and walks in darkness, and knows not where he goes, because that darkness has blinded his eyes."  (I John 2:9,11)

4.  Biden denies unemployment benefit caused poor jobs report - WND

Speaking Friday after an extremely poor job-growth report, President Biden contended the federal unemployment insurance supplement is not to blame. That's in spite of the fact that many business owners across the nation say they are struggling to get their employees to return. Biden was asked by a reporter: "Do you believe enhanced unemployment benefits had any effect on diminishing a return to work in some categories?" The president replied, "No, nothing measurable."

While job growth was expected to be about 1 million for April, only 266,000 new jobs were added. Republican lawmakers have joined business groups in blaming the $300 weekly federal subsidy, which enables some workers to make more money staying home. The subsidy, signed into law in March, is set to expire Sept. 6.

Neil Bradley, the Chamber of Commerce executive vice president and chief policy officer, said the jobs report "makes it clear that paying people not to work is dampening what should be a stronger jobs market. One step policymakers should take now is ending the $300 weekly supplemental unemployment benefit," he said.

But Biden insisted, nevertheless, that the report Friday is a "rebuttal to loose talk that Americans just don’t want to work. I know some employers are having trouble filling jobs. But what this report shows is that there’s a much bigger problem — notwithstanding the commentary you might have heard this morning," he said. "It is that our economy still has 8 million fewer jobs than when this pandemic started. The data shows that more workers — more workers — are looking for jobs and many can't find them." (Read more)

Father God, we pray that You will supply jobs for everyone who needs to work to support their families.  Overrule all the confusion that has created a different slant on the normalcy of going to work at jobs to make an income.  Break off any mentality of laziness from the people.  Open the gates and let the job market thrive.  In the Name of Jesus we pray,

- "By much slothfulness the building decays and through idleness of the hands the house drops through." (Ecclesiastes 10:18)

5. South Carolina and Montana to end all pandemic unemployment benefits for jobless residents - CNN

South Carolina is joining Montana in ending federal pandemic unemployment benefits for its residents next month. The Republican governors of both states say the enhanced jobless programs are dissuading people from returning to the workforce and are creating labor shortages.

They are the first two states to halt participation in the historic federal expansion of jobless benefits, which Congress enacted last spring as the coronavirus pandemic began upending the national economy and costing millions of Americans their jobs.

The move, which may be replicated in other states as the economy springs back to life amid declining coronavirus cases, is necessary to address Montana's "severe worker shortage," said Gov. Greg Gianforte, a Republican.

He noted that he has heard from many employers that they can't find workers, particularly in the health care, construction, manufacturing, and hospitality and leisure industries.
"Incentives matter, and the vast expansion of federal unemployment benefits is now doing more harm than good," Gianforte said. "We need to incentivize Montanans to reenter the workforce." Instead, Montana will provide $1,200 return-to-work bonuses, paid for with funds from President Joe Biden's $1.9 trillion coronavirus relief package.

South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster made no mention of a bonus in his announcement Thursday. He echoed Gianforte's comments, saying that the supplemental federal payments, combined with state benefits, are larger than some workers' previous paychecks.

"What was intended to be a short-term financial assistance for the vulnerable and displaced during the height of the pandemic has turned into a dangerous federal entitlement, incentivizing and paying workers to stay at home rather than encouraging them to return to the workplace," he said. (Read more)

- Father God, we thank You for moving on these people to come out from under all the confines that the pandemic has imposed upon them.  Awaken the workforce to come back to normality with renewed incentives.  We pray in the Name of Jesus.

"For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies."  (2 Thessalonians 3:11)
6. Sonic attacks now blasting people inside U.S., White House admits - WND

It's called the Havana Syndrome and it involves Americans experiencing a variety of physical and health symptoms, and experts think it may be caused by deliberate microwave or sonic attacks from enemies of the United States. The Havana Syndrome acquired its name because it was notably documented at the U.S. embassy in Havana, Cuba, and it's been reported by U.S. representatives in other parts of the world.

And now, inside the United States.

Gatestone Institute distinguished senior fellow Gordon G. Chang explained one such attack even was reported on the grounds of the White House. "We should not be surprised. Failure to impose costs on known sonic attackers — the Cuban and Chinese regimes — almost certainly emboldened the perpetrators to think they could harm Americans in America," he wrote recently. He explained two attacks on American soil have involved National Security Council officials, one on the White House's south lawn, the Ellipse, last November and another after Thanksgiving in 2019 in Arlington, Virginia.

The Daily Wire reported that the White House now has acknowledged such attacks, and said it is investigating. White House press secretary Jan Psaki on Friday confirmed the nation's agencies are "investigating incidents in which personnel have reported experiencing sensory phenomena, such as sound pressure or heat, concurrent with or followed by physical symptoms, such as sudden onset vertigo, nausea, and head or neck pain." "At this point — at this moment, we don’t know the cause of these incidents, which are both limited in nature and the vast majority of which have been reported overseas. So right now we are working to investigate, taking every report seriously, and our national security team is overseeing that process," she said. (Read more)

- Father, grant success to these investigations into these sonic attacks, and give wisdom and strategies on how to block them.

- "The Lord your God will put all these curses on your enemies who hate and persecute you." (Deuteronomy 30:7)

7. Biden's new definition of sex is 'total nightmare' - WND

President Joe Biden’s new policy redefining sex puts doctors at risk, American Principles Project President Terry Schilling told the Daily Caller News Foundation Monday.

The Biden administration announced Monday that it would reinterpret “sex” in the context of healthcare anti-discrimination laws to include “sexual orientation” and “gender identity,” reversing a Trump administration policy that defined “sex” as gender assigned at birth.

"Make no mistake," Schilling said. "The policy announced by HHS today is not about 'fix[ing] a broken bone' or 'screen[ing] for cancer risk.' No American was being denied access to these treatments for identifying as 'LGBTQ.' Rather, this policy is really about forcing hospitals and medical professionals to adhere to leftist ideology regarding sexuality and gender—and in particular to provide sex-change procedures to all comers, including children."

The Office for Civil Rights (OCR) will interpret Section 1557 and Title IX prohibitions on discrimination based on sex to include discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and on the basis of gender identity, the Department of Health and Human Services announced in a memo released Monday. . . .

APP President Schilling told the Daily Caller News Foundation Monday that though Levine and Becerra paint the HHS move as one "all about lifesaving care for transgender people," the HHS announcement is merely "a way for the federal government to use its full weight and coercion to do the most controversial aspects of the gender identity stuff, which is gender transitions for minors. There's not some rash across the country where gay people are going in to get their broken arm fixed and the doctor is like 'Oh sorry, you're gay. I'm not helping you,'" Schilling said. "We would know about those cases immediately." (Read more)

- Father, reverse this policy on redefining sex! We pray protection for hospitals and medical professionals so they would not be forced to adhere to the implications of this new policy.

- "You, Lord, are a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble."  (Psalm 9:9-10)

8. 'Blatantly unconstitutional': 78 members of Congress go to court against Biden - WND

Seventy-eight members of Congress have gone to court to say that President Biden's "American Rescue Plan" is "blatantly unconstitutional" because it purports to control the decisions states make regarding their own taxes. The friend-of-the-court brief was filed by the American Center for Law and Justice on behalf of the members of Congress in a case already pending that was brought by 13 attorneys general. They sued Biden because of the demand, authored by the Schumer-Pelosi regime in Congress, that "prohibits states from lowering state taxes anytime between now and 2024." "In other words, throughout President Biden's first term," the ACLJ explained.

The delegation is being led by Sens. Mike Crapo and Tim Scott and Reps. Jim Banks and Kevin Brady.

The provision "limits how states and localities can use their $360 billion windfall. States can use the loot to provide government services, cover revenue losses during the pandemic and 'respond to the public health emergency' or 'its negative economic impacts, including assistance to households, small businesses, and nonprofits, or aid to impacted industries such as tourism, travel, and hospitality.'"

But the Wall Street Journal noted that, "Much of the relief will invariably flow to government union pension funds, which are underfunded in states like Illinois, New Jersey and Connecticut. But it "explicitly bars states from cutting taxes."

The ACLJ explained, "This is a gross overreach of the empowered radical Left. Perhaps most insulting and infuriating is that while the Left essentially tells states they are not allowed to lower their residents' taxes, both the federal government and states retain the right to raise taxes all they want." The organization's legal argument note Congress may impose certain conditions on funds, but "it may not impose conditions so intrusive that it amounts to coercing the states to do its will." (Read more)

Father, we pray that this case will be heard in court in favor of states' rights! Protect us from the overreach of the Federal Government in every sector of our society.

- "Surely, LORD, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield." (Psalm 5:12)

9. Appeals court stunner! Guidance from heaven allowed in jury room - WND

The 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals stunningly has affirmed that a juror is allowed to seek spiritual counsel through prayer, and get it, while deliberating a criminal case.
The 7-4 result means that former U.S. Rep. Corrine Brown, who had been indicted on and convicted of fraud charges, will get a new trial.

It was during deliberations by the jury that one juror complained to the judge about another juror who had expressed that he had prayed for guidance in the case, and had believed he had been given that guidance. As former solicitor general Paul Clement wrote in the brief, on appeal, for Brown: "A nation that enshrines religious toleration in its founding document and invokes the religious beliefs of its citizenry to reinforce their public oaths cannot dismiss jurors based on the way they express their religious convictions."

"We are grateful that the court reaffirmed the strong standard required to dismiss a deliberating juror," said Lea Patterson, counsel for First Liberty. "No American should be disqualified from fulfilling their civic duty as jurors simply because they believe that God answers prayer." (Read more)

-Thank you, Lord for this report! We are thankful this juror sought your guidance and had favor with the court!

- "If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault." (James 1:5)

10. US Envoy Lands in Israel as White House Affirms Support for ‘Self-Defense Against Hamas Terrorists’ - The Algemeiner

US Secretary for Israel-Palestinian Affairs Hady Amr has landed in Israel on Friday, as part of Washington’s efforts to deescalate the most intense bout of fighting between Gaza-based Islamist terrorists and the Jewish state since 2014.

“Israelis and Palestinians deserve equal measures of freedom, security, dignity and prosperity,” the US Embassy in Israel tweeted Friday, with a picture of Amr disembarking in Israel.

Top US officials, meanwhile, have affirmed their support for Israel’s military operation against Gazan militants who have rained down over 2,000 rockets on southern and central Israel since Monday.

“Israel has the right to self-defense,” Press Secretary Jen Psaki told journalists, stressing that the US was focusing on de-escalation. “It’s important to remember that Hamas is a terrorist group. They don’t represent the views, the families and the Palestinian people who are suffering. There’s no excuse for the rockets.” (Read more)

- Pray that the international community will recognize the truth of this situation and truly stand in support of Israel’s right to self-defense. Pray that global leaders will demand an end to Palestinian terror and cease any financial support until there is absolute compliance.

- "Save me, O God, by Your name, and vindicate me by Your strength. Hear my prayer, O God; give ear to the words of my mouth. For strangers have risen up against me, and oppressors have sought after my life; they have not set God before them. Behold, God is my helper; the Lord is with those who uphold my life. He will repay my enemies for their evil. Cut them off in Your truth." (Psalm 54:1–5)

White House says safety of journalists is 'paramount' after Gaza building bombed

The White House said Saturday that it communicated its concerns to Israel over an airstrike launched in Gaza that destroyed a building that housed several news organizations, including The Associated Press.

White House press secretary Jen Psaki tweeted following the strike on the evacuated building that the safety of journalists is "paramount." We have communicated directly to the Israelis that ensuring the safety and security of journalists and independent media is a paramount responsibility,” Psaki wrote.

The message came after Israeli forces flattened the building, which housed the AP and Al Jazeera, among other outlets, in Gaza City. The military informed the owner of the building that occupants had an hour to leave before the structure would be bombed. The strike sparked rebukes from news organizations, which said the attack would curtail journalists’ ability to report on the escalating violence between Israel and militants in the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli air force asserted in a statement that the building "contained military assets belonging to the intelligence offices" of Hamas, the Palestinian militant group that has been launching barrages of rockets at Israel for weeks. The statement accused Hamas of using civilian media offices "as human shields" and said that it also  gave people in the building a warning to evacuate.

“It uses tall buildings in Gaza for multiple military purposes such as intelligence gathering, planning attacks, command and control, and communications,” the Israel Defense Forces tweeted, referring to Hamas. “When Hamas uses a tall building for military purposes, it becomes a lawful military target.”

“The Israel Defense Forces struck a number of such buildings in recent days, but before we did so, we took steps to try and ensure that civilians would not be harmed,” it added. “We called the building's residents and warned them to leave. We sent SMS messages. We dropped ‘roof knocker’ bombs; they make loud noises and hit only the roof. We provided sufficient time to evacuate.” (The Hill) Read more.

- Pray that the international community will recognize the truth of this situation and truly stand in support of Israel’s right to self-defense. Pray that global leaders will demand an end to Palestinian terror and cease any financial support until there is absolute compliance.

THE WORD OF GOD
AND SUBMISSION TO GOVERNMENT

by Mario Murillo Ministries

The disturbing treatment of Canadian Polish Pastor, Artur Pawlowski can happen here. Biden tweeted: The rule is now simple: “Get vaccinated or wear a mask until you do.” Only it is not a rule. Time for clarity from the Bible on submission to government.

The sad truth is that Democrats  have declared war. They are demanding unconditional surrender. Not only from the church but from innocent citizens. Their war compels believers to look again at what the Bible says about evil laws and evil leaders.

Doesn't the Bible tell us to obey them no matter what? Absolutely not. And it is shocking how many believers do not know their Bible or have been given false teaching. There is no verse in the Bible that tells you to obey evil government or laws.

If we don’t realize this now, we will sit back and let our nation be destroyed.

Christians during the American Revolution understood that the Bible does not teach us to obey evil laws or leaders. There would be no America if Christian Colonists believed they should obey the evil laws of England.

Let me prove to you beyond any doubt that the Bible tells us what we must do in the face of wicked government and laws.

Scientists urge 'eruption plan' as world's largest volcano simmers

As neighboring Kīlauea erupts, scientists are warning that Mauna Loa, the largest active volcano on Earth, could be next.

"The volcano continues to awaken from its slumber," said the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) in March. "While an eruption of Mauna Loa is not imminent, now is the time to revisit personal eruption plans.”

The volcano has erupted 33 times since the first "well-documented" eruption in 1843, with the most recent being in 1984, producing fast-moving lava flows that reached the island's coasts and threatened the city of Hilo. While the volcano is not currently erupting, the USGS has reported elevated rates of deformation and seismicity that suggest the magma system is evolving.

Meanwhile, nearly 9,800 feet below, lava is erupting from Kīlauea Volcano, one of the most active volcanoes in the region, but remains contained in Halemaʻumaʻu, a crater in Hawai‘i Volcanoes National Park that has been closed to the public since 2008.

"High levels of volcanic gas are the primary hazard of concern regarding the ongoing activity at Kīlauea’s summit, with additional hazards from crater wall instability and rockfalls," the Hawaiian Volcano Observatory said in an update on May 12. Volcanic smog has traveled downwind of Kīlauea, according to the agency, which warned residents to minimize their exposure.  (Read more and view photos by going here.)

Hollywood stars, including Oscar winner Denzel Washington, have rented out movie theaters to support the film Chicago: America's Hidden War, a pastor-led documentary that premiered in theaters nationwide on Wednesday, May 13. In addition to Washington, Mark Burnett and Roma Downey, the makers of the record-breaking television miniseries The Bible, also rented out theaters to screen the movie, The Christian Post reports.

The film's first goal is to expose the systemic, genocidal behavior in Chicago's gang wars. The second goal is to help build a better future for Chicago's children by inspiring and uplifting young people by improving their mental and physical well-being.

The film investigates the city's unrelenting gang conflict, which continues to alter the fabric of everyday life in the city. The documentary accomplishes this by giving the viewers an inside look at the violence through a war-journalism approach. The film also shows the sources of the violence and its long-term impact on Chicago.

The film's synopsis states, "Chicago: America's Hidden War pulls back the curtain to expose the pervasive genocidal-like behavior, explain what birthed and contributed to this war and why so little is done to stop it, and ultimately inspires a clear path toward change." Classic Hymns

His Eye is on the Sparrow

Words: Civilla Martin
Music: Charles Gabriel

Scripture: Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father…So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows. Matthew 10:29–31

Lyrics:
Why should I feel discouraged,
Why should the shadows come,
Why should my heart be lonely,
And long for Heav’n and home,
When Jesus is my portion?
My constant friend is He:
His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know He watches me;
His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know He watches me.

Refrain
I sing because I’m happy,
I sing because I’m free,
For His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know He watches me.

Let not your heart be troubled,
His tender word I hear,
And resting on His goodness,
I lose my doubts and fears;
Though by the path He leadeth,
But one step I may see;
His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know He watches me;
His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know He watches me.

Refrain

Whenever I am tempted,
Whenever clouds arise,
When songs give place to sighing,
When hope within me dies,
I draw the closer to Him,
From care He sets me free;
His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know He watches me;
His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know He watches me.

Refrain

About Capitol Hill Prayer Partners

Our Mission Statement

Capitol Hill Prayer Partners (CHPP) is a ministry which is positioned on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., helping members of the Body of Christ to "pray for those in authority over us" in our federal government. Our primary purpose is to offer intercession on site for the members of Congress and their staffs each day that the Senate and the House of Representatives are in session; and our chief prayer focus is that "God's will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." [Matthew 6:10].

Because Jesus Christ has shed His blood for all, we, too, pray for ALL, in a nonpartisan manner. Also, because the scriptures indicate that "the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 4:17), we are confident that fervent prayer, offered in the halls of the highest chambers of government in our land, can avail much for America. Capitol Hill Prayer Partners welcomes those who feel called to join us, engaging in this strategic work of intercession for our nation: "For there is no power but of God; the powers that be are ordained of God." [Romans 13:1]
