FBI Tells Americans to Report ‘Family Members and Peers’ in Tweet, Gets Blowback
|
|
The FBI is receiving criticism for a tweet it posted on July 11 that suggests Americans should monitor “family members and peers” for signs of “mobilization to violence” and report “suspicious behaviors” in an effort to prevent extremist activities.
“Family members and peers are often best positioned to witness signs of mobilization to violence. Help prevent homegrown violent extremism. Visit https://go.usa.gov/x6mjf to learn how to spot suspicious behaviors and report them to the #FBI,” the tweet read. It also included two photos of an individual highlighted in red accessing a computer.
Within the tweet is a link to a government booklet (pdf) written in 2015 regarding signs that someone might be considering violence, but the publication mainly pertains to Islamist terrorist organizations including ISIS and al-Qaeda.
“It is important to consider the totality of circumstances when observing potential indicators, as some factors may increase the risk of extremist violence in a given situation,” the booklet says, adding that some factors include an individual who has an “inability to cope with changes or perceived failures in relationships, school, or career.”
A “history of violence (e.g., domestic violence or violence toward animals) and unstable mental state; social isolation or inability to join with or relate to others;” and a “possession of, access to, or familiarity with weapons or explosives” should be flagged, the FBI wrote.
“Certainly, behaviors exist and are noted in this booklet that would be troubling regardless of ideological motivation and may warrant contacting law enforcement. However, this booklet is focused on individuals or groups that are inspired or enabled by foreign terrorist organizations, including but not limited to ISIS, al-Qa’ida, and their affiliates and allies,” the document said.
Richard Grenell, a former acting director of national intelligence, wrote that the FBI’s tweet “is outrageous” because the agency “has a growing credibility problem and this type of sinister snitching is clearly unhelpful.” Several Republican lawmakers also criticized the tweet, saying the FBI is encouraging Americans’ family members to spy on one another.
“In both Cuba & China, they also ask children to spy on their parents,” Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) wrote.
Rep. Dan Bishop (R-Texas) wrote: “These people protected Hillary, abused NSA surveillance databases against Americans, used known, unreliable DNC-funded propaganda to spy on Trump, perpetuated the Russia hoax, & lied to the FISC repeatedly. And now they tell you that you should spy on your family.”

1. Ministers announce new ‘Revelry Pass’ for weddings, large events - Times of Israel
Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, Economy Minister Orna Barbivai and Health Minister Nitzan Horowitz agreed on Thursday to institute a “Revelry Pass” that will create limitations for weddings, parties and other large indoor celebratory events, the Prime Minister’s Office said.
The plan, which must still be approved by the coronavirus cabinet, will limit such gatherings to those who are vaccinated, recovered or who present a negative COVID test. While the gatherings won’t be limited in size, masks will be mandatory, except when eating or drinking.
The pass will only be required at events with over 100 participants and will not apply to sit-down culture events such as theater, movies and concerts. It will only apply to events “held standing and with movement — including mingling between participants,” the PMO statement said, highlighting “weddings and celebrations, standing performances, parties and conferences” as examples. 2. Israel, Morocco Sign Cyber Defense Accord - Jewish Press
The North African, Muslim nation of Morocco and the Jewish State of Israel have signed a cyber security cooperation agreement, the Israel National Cyber Directorate announced Thursday (July 15).
The accord formalizes operation cooperation, research and development, and the sharing of information and knowledge. It was signed this week at a ceremony in the Moroccan capital city of Rabat.
Yigal Unna, director-general of Israel’s National Cyber Directorate was present at the signing, as was his Moroccan counterpart General El Mostafa Rabii. Morocco’s Defense Minister Abdellatif Loudiyi was also present for the proceedings. (Read more)

3. Israeli Military Requests Funding for a Potential Strike on Iran: Report - Algemeiner
i24 News – Israel’s military is reported to be requesting major increases to its budget worth billions of shekels to provide it with the capability to strike Iran’s nuclear program.
The request came during early discussions of the state budget, which the government of Prime Minister Naftali Bennett seeks to pass in the coming months, Kan reported.
Funding discussions took place in the context of the perception that indirect negotiations between the US and Iran regarding the latter’s nuclear ambitions may fail, the public broadcaster reported.
Separately, sources in the security establishment accused former prime minister and current leader of the opposition Benjamin Netanyahu of neglecting the state’s ability to strike Iran while he was in office. (Read more)

4. Has Israel's new government lost its moral high ground? - Jerusalem Post
Former prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the rest of the opposition celebrated on Thursday morning, when Knesset Speaker Mickey Levy announced that a controversial bill that would increase the size of the selection committee for religious court judges fell by a 51 to 51 vote, due to his own mistake in voting against it.
Opposition MKs applauded and reveled in their victory and gave Netanyahu high fives, making him drop the English-language magazines he had been reading. It was 10 a.m., eight hours after deliberations on the bill began, and 18 hours after the session of the Knesset plenum began at 4 p.m. the previous day.
The obviously exhausted, 70-year-old Knesset speaker had also made verbal errors when introducing the vote, before mistakenly pushing the “no” button on his screen. But at least he was there for the vote. Prime Minister Naftali Bennett faced criticism inside his coalition for not showing up. (Read more)

5. FC Barcelona caves under Palestinian pressure, cancels game in Jerusalem - World Israel News
The owner of the Beitar Jerusalem soccer team, entrepreneur Moshe Hogeg, announced Thursday that a much-anticipated friendly match between the team and FC Barcelona was cancelled due to pressure from Palestinian lawmakers and activists.
“After receiving the contract to sign and [learning of] the unequivocal demand that the game not take place in the capital, Jerusalem…I slept with a heavy heart, thought a lot, and decided that, before everything else, I am a proud Jew and Israeli,” Hogeg wrote on Facebook.
“A game against Beitar Jerusalem should take place in Jerusalem, and if the motive for its [relocation] is political, and I surrender to that, I won’t be able to live with myself…I can’t betray Jerusalem. “This is a very difficult decision but after consulting with the mayor, Moshe Leon, I believe it is the right one.”

But I hope we as Americans take this as a warning. When you start censoring information, like we saw happen during the campaign last year, when you start censoring information on social media, when you take the sitting president of the United States off of social media, it is a real slippery slope…it's very easy to see how these folks ended up in this place in Cuba. 3. Big Pharma Cashing in on the Plandemic: $19 Billion for Moderna in Just One Year – Pandemic News
Thanks to Donald Trump’s “Operation Warp Speed” scheme, drug giant Moderna is slated to rake in record profits this year with a revenue forecast of a whopping $19.2 billion.
Tony Fauci also contributed by laundering gobs of taxpayer cash to Moderna through his National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), which also received $25 million from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) back in 2013 to develop messenger RNA (mRNA) technology.

4. Moderna Expert ADMITS Vaccine is Experimental and Everyone Taking it is Part of Clinical Trial With Unknown Consequences – Pandemic News
A representative from Moderna has admitted that the company’s Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine is experimental, and everybody who takes it is part of a clinical trial.
This admission was recorded during the June 22, 2021 episode of The Stew Peters Show by the independent conservative reporter and political commentator Stew Peters. During that day’s episode, Peters played an audio recording made by a woman who developed Guillain-Barre syndrome after receiving the Moderna vaccine.
Guillain-Barre syndrome is an autoimmune disorder. It causes the body’s immune system to attack its own nerves. Its first symptoms include weakness and a tingling sensation in the extremities. This then rapidly spreads and eventually leads to whole-body paralysis. The woman’s doctor believes she got Guillain-Barre from the coronavirus vaccine.

Ingraham opened the segment revealing how even some of the mainstream media are now beginning to report what she has been presenting for over a year, including the statistical irrelevancy of COVID-19 in threatening young lives, the injustice of depriving them of live instruction in school, and the mandating of their wearing of masks. 7. Trump Celebrates “Beyond Incredible” News from Georgia: The Hand Recount was Wrong by 60% - The Western Journal
Former President Donald Trump, who has supported several state audits of the 2020 presidential election due to numerous reported instances of voter fraud throughout the nation, welcomed a report brought by VoterGA on Wednesday.
VoterGA, which stands for “Voters Organized for Trusted Election Results in Georgia,” is a nonprofit, nonpartisan group based out of Georgia. VoterGA is a party listed on a lawsuit disputing the results of the Nov. 3, 2020, election in Fulton County, Georgia.
“Fulton County’s hand count audit of the November 3rd 2020 election was riddled with massive errors and provable fraud,” a Tuesday news release from the group stated. The organization noted that members of its data team discovered “923 of 1539 mail-in ballot batch files contained votes incorrectly reported in Fulton’s official November 3rd 2020 results.” (Read more)

On Tuesday, the Bureau of Labor Statistics told us that the consumer price index has risen 5.4 percent over the past 12 months, and such a high number shocked a lot of people. And if inflation was still calculated the way that it was back in 1980, the official rate of inflation over the past 12 months would be well into double-digits.
Everyone that has been warning that we could soon see inflation rise to levels that we haven’t witnessed since the the Jimmy Carter years can stop, because we are already there.The Bureau of Labor Statistics is committing fraud, because the numbers that they give us are almost meaningless. 10. Americans Could Recover Trillions in Damages from Lawsuits Against CCP Over its Pandemic Coverup: Expert – The Epoch Times
Americans could sue the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) for trillions of dollars over its coverup of the origins of the pandemic, according to lawyer and economist Jim Rickards.
The pandemic, which has caused four million deaths worldwide including over 600,000 in the United States, was likely caused by a leak from the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV), Rickards writes in his book “The New Great Depression: Winners and Losers in a Post-Pandemic World.” Meanwhile, the CCP has continuously tried to hide the source to “deflect responsibility and neutralize trillions of dollars of damage claims,” he continued.
“It’s a crime against humanity and it’s gross criminal negligence,” the author told The Epoch Times. Americans can thus take the CCP to court in the United States to seek compensation for losses suffered as a result of the pandemic, Rickards said. An Alternative To Critical Race Theory

There is much debate across the country about teaching children Critical Race Theory. Recently, The Epoch Times reported that over 5,000 teachers, principals and librarians signed a petition at the Marxist-based Zinn Education Project vowing to teach Critical Race Theory to their students, even if it is outlawed. While whether it was all teachers or activists who signed the petition remains in question, it is alarming that there is such commitment to this Marxist doctrine within the US government school system. The Zinn Education Project produces so-called “history lessons” based on books by Marxist writer Howard Zinn. Herein, you see where Critical Race Theory has its divisive and extreme origins. Let’s understand more.
Critical Race Theory (CRT) is defined by Britannica as a theory based on the premise that “race is not a natural, biologically grounded feature of physically distinct subgroups of human beings but a socially constructed (culturally invented) category that is used to oppress and exploit people of color. Critical race theorists hold that the law and legal institutions in the United States are inherently racist insofar as they function to create and maintain social, economic, and political inequalities between whites and nonwhites, especially African Americans.” Harvard University says CRT “is a regime of white supremacy and privilege maintained despite the rule of law and the constitutional guarantee of equal protection of the laws.” Read More

Felicia strengthens to hurricane in the eastern North Pacific
|
|
|
Tropical Storm Felicia strengthened into a hurricane over the eastern North Pacific Ocean early Thursday. At 2 a.m. PT, the center of the Category 1 storm was positioned about 730 miles southwest of the southern tip of Baja California.
Now, Hurricane Felicia is moving westward around 12 mph with maximum sustained winds up to 85 mph with higher gusts, according to the NOAA NWS National Hurricane Center.
Hurricane-force winds extend outward up to 25 miles from the center and tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 80 miles.
By Friday, a gradual turn to the west-southwest is expected with this motion expected to continue over the next two days. There are no coastal watches or warnings in effect.

Syria (MNN) — No matter who you are or where you’re reading this today, if you follow Christ you have an important task ahead of you. “We, as believers in Jesus Christ, have a duty, a responsibility, to seek out others,” Samuel* of Redemptive Stories says.
“We need to love our neighbor as ourselves. I have a responsibility to seek out a relationship and communicate the truth of Jesus Christ, to care for them and love them, even though they might not be someone I like or enjoy.”
Samuel and other believers at Redemptive Stories work with Syrian refugees in the Middle East. Two refugee families recently came to Christ, but they didn’t leave their conflict at the cross. “There were new believing families that were interacting detrimentally towards one another [in] one of the programs that we run,” Samuel says.
Redemptive Stories staff initiated Bible studies with the families, teaching these new believers about forgiveness and reconciliation. “When they (Syrians) come to faith, they [need to] see the world through a different lens. We (believers) don’t do the same thing that your Arab culture tells you to do,” Samuel says.
“Jesus has a new way, a new culture. He has a new system called the Kingdom of God that looks very different, acts very different than the system I came out of.”
The Holy Spirit moved in these new believers’ hearts as they studied God’s Word. Today, the two families live in peace. Pray these believers can teach other Syrians what they’ve learned. “God used that experience, as well as the work of the Holy Spirit, in each one of their hearts to begin to heal those relationships and to create reconciliation,” Samuel says. Like a Good Father, He covers our mistakes. He makes a Way for us even when we make very bad decisions.
