TODAY'S TOP STORY
Nebraska Gov. Pete Ricketts in his office in the state's capitol in
Lincoln, Neb., on June 24, 2021. (Petr Svab/The Epoch Times)
From Dove to Hawk:
Nebraska Governor Explains Lessons From Dealing With CCP

Steering the flagship farming state of Nebraska, Gov. Pete Ricketts has been all about opening doors for the world’s markets to access his state’s plentiful produce. From top-quality beef raised on the lush Great Plains pastures to the premier agri-tech that assists the growing of crops around the world, Nebraska has been exporting billions of dollars worth of products, a lot of it to East Asia.

It made perfect sense to Ricketts to lead a trade mission to China in 2016 in an effort to expand the market further yet. What happened on the trip, and in the following years, however, gave the Republican a rude awakening. Ricketts soon realized the regime was never interested in a good-faith relationship.

“While we were over there, some very disturbing things happened,” he told The Epoch Times in an exclusive interview. “Members of our delegation were being followed in a very clumsy sort of way,” he said. “It was very clear that we were being monitored.”

One member of the delegation was targeted in particular. One day, when he returned to his hotel room in the evening, he found out his hard drive had been stolen, Ricketts said. The incident alerted the governor to the levels the CCP would stoop to in order to steal trade secrets. . . .

What followed was a series of decisions to limit CCP influence in Nebraska.

Ricketts moved the state’s trade office from Shanghai to Germany. He urged the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, to get rid of the CCP-controlled Confucius Institute, which it did. He banned the state government from doing business with CCP-related entities. He also banned the Chinese-owned social media app TikTok from government devices.

American companies need to think twice about doing business in China, he suggested, given the CCP law, for example, that any data stored in the country needs to be made available to the regime.

“It’s very concerning to me as an American, that we see so much of Wall Street continuing to invest in China, because, again, they need to know that anything they do there does not belong to them anymore,” he said. (The Epoch Times) Read more.

- Father God, we praise You for the bold and courageous example of the Governor of the State of Nebraska. We rejoice that, even though he was initially hoodwinked by the deceptive tactics of the CCP, in short time he began to see their true agenda: to use "trade agreements" to gain control over our people.

We ask, dear Lord, that all other governors of these United States would also be awakened to this danger for their own people, and reject these false overtures of the CCP. We ask for protection now for Governor Pete Ricketts, his family, and all members of his staff. In Your Name, Holy One, we offer this prayer . . . amen and amen.

- "Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren." (James 1:16)
FOCUS ON ISRAEL

1. Jordan's king meets with Abbas, reiterates support for two-state solution - Jerusalem Post

Palestinian Authority President  Mahmoud Abbas on Wednesday made a surprise visit to Amman, where he met with Jordan’s King Abdullah.
The visit is to be seen in the context of coordination between the PA and Jordan ahead of Abdullah’s planned trip to the US on July 19.

The PA and Jordan have expressed support for resuming the Middle East peace process on the basis of a two-state solution.
Abbas’s visit to Amman came as a committee, formed to investigate the death of Palestinian anti-corruption activist Nizar Banat, presented its findings to PA Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh. (Read more)

2. Lapid to Palestinians: ‘Stop firing rockets and we’ll help you’ - World Israel News

Foreign Minister Yair Lapid praised Emirati officials and said the United Arab Emirates could potentially facilitate an Israel-Palestinian peace process during the first-ever visit of an Israeli minister to the Gulf State after the historic August 2020 Abraham Accords.

During a press conference in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday evening, Lapid said the UAE has a sophisticated understanding of Israel’s security concerns.

It’s “extremely impressive how politically sharp they are,” Lapid said. “You really have to understand the material to respond the way they responded,” referring to official statements made during the recent Israeli conflict with Hamas.

He also said he was convinced that the UAE “will be a positive player in any possible process, if there is such a process,” stopping short of promising that peace talks will resume any time soon. (Read more)

3. First Bahraini ambassador to Israel formally appointed - Times of Israel

Bahraini monarch Hamad bin Issa Al Khalifa on Tuesday officially appointed the Gulf kingdom’s first ambassador to Israel, following last year’s agreement between the countries to normalize diplomatic ties.

Khaled Yousef al-Jalahmah will serve as Bahrain’s envoy to the State of Israel, official Bahraini state media reported.

“His Majesty, may God preserve him, congratulated Ambassador Khaled Youssef Al-Jalahma, and His Majesty expressed his lofty directives to the ambassador, wishing him success in promoting Bahrain’s noble message of peace and the values of tolerance and peaceful coexistence,” state media said.

Israel’s Foreign Ministry signed off on al-Jalahmah’s appointment in March. Al-Jalahmah previously served as deputy ambassador to the United States among other senior posts in the Bahraini diplomatic service. (Read more)

4. Israel’s COVID vaccination rate soars again as teens flock to shot centers - Times of Israel

The number of adolescent getting vaccinated against the coronavirus has risen sharply in recent days, raising hopes that a large portion of the country’s minors eligible for shots will be protected against COVID-19 in coming weeks.

As of Tuesday morning, nearly 32 percent of Israelis in the 10-19 age bracket had received at least one dose of the vaccine, up from around 23% a week earlier, Health Ministry data showed.

Authorities launched a renewed drive to vaccinate teens aged 12 to 15 last week, responding to mounting numbers of new cases, many of them attributed to the fast-spreading Delta variant of the virus.

Since then, the number of shots distributed daily has climbed to back over 10,000 for the first time since early April. That’s when Israel’s world-leading vaccination drive stalled after distributing the vaccine to nearly 5 million people, the majority of its eligible population. (Read more)

5. Israel’s Interior Minister Signs Off on Revocation of Hamas Terrorist’s Citizenship - Algemeiner

JNS.org – Israeli Interior Minister Ayelet Shaked signed off Tuesday on the denaturalization of Ashraf Hassan, a member of Hamas.

Shaked based her decision on information she received from military officials, who told her Hassan had orchestrated an attack on an Israeli soldier and taken advantage of his Israeli citizenship to move around the country freely in pursuit of his plans.

In 2004, Hassan was convicted for plotting to kidnap and kill an Israeli soldier and was sentenced to nine years in prison. He maintained his ties with Hamas after his release. He left Israel in 2016 and has not returned since.

The Interior Ministry said it was proceeding with Hassan’s denaturalization with urgency as “a matter of national security” and in an effort to deter others who might be planning to commit terrorist actions against Israel.

Shaked also approved the revocation of the permanent residency status of Salah Hamouri, a member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine. (Read more)

- Abba, we pray that if this is revocation is passed completely that there will be no retaliation efforts or uprisings against Israel. In the name of Yeshua we pray, amen.

1. Trump visits Texas to tour U.S. border, says wall 'really worked,' completion 'makes sense' - Just The News

Former President Trump travelled Wednesday to Texas to tour the southwest U.S. border where he made a case for the completion of the security wall between the U.S. and Mexico.

“When I used to go around and give speeches, I'd said the two things that will never get old are a wheel and a wall," Trump said at a press briefing with Texas Gov. Gregg Abbott, who wants to complete construction of the wall. "And that's true. I mean, when you get right down to it, the wall worked, really worked."

Trump said about the new Biden administration purportedly wanting to restart construction amid a record surge of illegal immigration: "It's only common sense."
The former president also commented on the New York City mayoral election results, in which the city's board of elections on Tuesday threw the Democrat primary into chaos but accidentally counting 135,000 test ballots. (Read more)

- Lord God we ask that this current administration would take issues that affect every American seriously in Jesus name. We pray that they would make common sense decisions regarding our border crisis. Turn their hearts of stone into hearts of flesh that they will work hard for solutions to America’s problems. Amen.

- “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.” (Ezekiel 36:26)

2. House approves select panel to probe Jan. 6 attack - The Hill

The House voted Wednesday to create a select committee dedicated to investigating the Jan. 6 insurrection, in what will likely become a partisan fight over establishing the facts of the violent attack on the Capitol. Lawmakers voted largely along party lines, 222-190, with only two Republicans, Reps. Liz Cheney (Wyo.) and Adam Kinzinger (Ill.), joining all Democrats to back the new committee.

House Democrats decided to move forward with the select committee after legislation to establish an independent bipartisan commission was blocked by Senate Republicans last month. Just 35 House Republicans and seven GOP senators supported a commission, while the rest of the party argued it was unnecessary as they continue to latch themselves to former President Trump.  (Read more)

- Lord God, we pray for our elected officials that the eyes of their hearts would be flooded with light and that they would use taxpayer dollars to fix issues that are actually affecting Americans instead of partisan, divisive tactics to attack people they disagree with. Amen.

- “Now I urge you, brethren, keep your eye on those who cause dissensions and hindrances contrary to the teaching which you learned, and turn away from them.” (Romans 16:17)

3. Obama: 'We should all be worried' about misinformation that prompted Capitol riot - The Hill

Former President Obama issued a warning about the political misinformation that preceded the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, when Congress met to certify President Biden's electoral win, saying “we should all be worried.”

Obama, speaking during the closing event of the American Library Association’s annual conference on Tuesday, said he saw “some of these trends" of the growing spread and acceptance of misinformation during his own time in office.

But to see not only a riot in the Capitol around what historically had been a routine process of certifying an election, but to know that one of our two major political parties, a strong majority of people in this party, actually believed in a falsehood about those election results, the degree to which misinformation is now disseminated at warp speed in coordinated ways that we haven't seen before,” he explained, according to CNN. (Read more)

- Father God, whenever Barack Hussein Obama speaks, confusion and deception follow. And whatever statement he releases, the opposite is the truth. We ask that the American people not be deceived by his words, but rather examine all the facts for themselves regarding the truth of what actually occurred, almost nine months ago today, in the Presidential Election of 2020. And as now we prepare to observe our historic American Revolution, that brought freedom to us all, we also look forward to another "revolution," soon to come, that will once again set us all free. We ask in Your name, amen and amen.

- "Do not let me fall into their hands. For they accuse me of things I've never done; with every breath they threaten me with violence." (Psalm 27:12)

4. Trump responds to chaos caused by NYC election vote count error - DML News

(Former) President Donald Trump has responded Wednesday morning, after the New York City Board of Elections announced they made a major mistake in their vote counts regarding the recent Democrat primary election.

Tuesday evening, the NYC Election Board withdrew its latest report on the vote count in the Democratic primary for mayor, saying they found a “discrepancy” in their report – which had resulted in front-runner Eric Adams’s lead shrinking considerably.

Later the Board announced that 135,000 test ballots had been included in a tally earlier in the day by mistake, and said they are now re-tabulating the votes.

Trump responded to the huge mess with the following statement Wednesday morning:
Just like in the 2020 Presidential Election, it was announced overnight in New York City that vast irregularities and mistakes were made and that Eric Adams, despite an almost insurmountable lead, may not win the race.

- Lord God, our election system is so corrupted that, going forward, the American people have no faith in the system to fully reflect the will of the people. This must change in order to be a true republic with liberty and justice for all. We ask Lord that your spirit would move upon the hearts of any elected official to be bold for you and to be bold for justice to do what they can in their power to fix this issue. In Jesus name we pray amen.

- “ . . . He will swallow up death forever. The Sovereign Lord will wipe away the tears from all faces; he will remove his people’s disgrace from all the earth. The Lord has spoken.” (Isaiah 25:8)

5. Justice Department sues Georgia over voting law - World

Attorney General Merrick Garland accused Georgia Republicans of rushing through legislation he claims discriminates against African American voters. He announced Friday that the Department of Justice is suing the state over the voting law for alleged Voting Rights Act violations. Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger promised to defend the reforms, and Republican Gov. Brian Kemp accused the Biden administration of spreading misinformation about the law. Civil rights and election integrity groups have filed seven other lawsuits challenging the changes.

What did the bill change? The law requires ID for mail-in ballots, shortens the time frame for requesting a mail-in ballot, and removes some drop boxes in metro Atlanta, which has the largest African American voting population in the state. Georgia had installed 94 in the city during the 2020 election due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The state can permanently use these boxes but limits the number to 23. Outside groups are prohibited from handing out food and water to voters within a certain distance of polling locations. (Read more)

- Lord God, this bill obviously does not target any voter by their skin color. We pray for our election system to remain lawful, fair, and free in America. The Supreme Court will soon announce their decisions on several election-related cases. We pray for just rulings. We pray that you, Lord God, will move against any force that would seek to create chaos and unrest in our elections, from the local to the state to the federal level. In Your Name we offer this prayer, amen and amen.

6. Nancy Pelosi and Democrats Block Bill to Ban Tax-Funded Abortions for 20th Time - Life News

Over the last week, Speaker Nancy Pelosi and House Democrats have blocked a bill to ban taxpayer-funding of abortions 20 times. Each day over the last week, multiple pro-life Republican House members have asked the House for unanimous consent to bring the pro-life bill to the floor for a vote. Each time, Democrats have refused.

On Monday, Rep. Stephanie Bice (R-OK), Rep. Buddy Carter (R-GA), Rep. Glenn Thompson (R-PA), and Rep. Bill Huizenga (R-MI) asked for unanimous consent to get a floor vote on H.R. 18, The No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act. As they had 16 times previously, Democrats refused a vote to protect taxpayers from being forced to fund killing babies in abortions.

The bill would make the Hyde Amendment permanent law and protect taxpayers from being forced to fund the killing of unborn babies in abortions. The Hyde Amendment, which has strong public support, prohibits taxpayer funding for elective abortions in Medicaid and other federal programs. Since 1976, it has saved an estimated 2.4 million babies’ lives, including about 60,000 each year, according to the Charlotte Lozier Institute. (Read more)

- Lord God, we pray for the men and women who have been elected to serve the American people at all levels, by governing and creating laws to uphold the Constitution and provide life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness for all. And this includes life inside the womb. We pray God that you would move upon the hearts of our elected officials, replacing their hearts of stone with a heart of flesh in Jesus name amen.

- "Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty." (2 Corinthians 3:17)

7. HHS Secretary Becerra shuts down fetal research ethics advisory board - Live Action

Department of Health and Human Services secretary Xavier Becerra recently shut down the National Institutes of Health’s Human Fetal Tissue Ethics Advisory Board, which was responsible for providing oversight for human fetal tissue research and experimentation. The board formerly had the ability to veto research proposals it found ethically questionable.

In response, 137 congressional Republicans sent a letter to Becerra urging the reversal of this decision, due to the poor ethical track record of previous federally funded projects involving human fetal tissue. As an example, the letter highlights recent documents obtained via the Freedom of Information Act and published by Judicial Watch which revealed the FDA’s routine “orders for eyeballs, livers, skin, brains, skulls, and sometimes fully intact bodies of infants aborted in the second trimester” from Advanced Bioscience Resources, which has acted as a fetal tissue procuring middleman between the federal government and Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion chain.

The letter also mentions the Center for Medical Progress’s recent disclosure of horrific experiments on aborted children — including “scalping 5-month-old aborted fetuses to stitch onto lab rats” and “killing infants delivered alive for liver harvesting” at the University of Pittsburgh — which were taxpayer-funded through Dr. Anthony Fauci’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. - Lord God, we pray as a corporate body in unity right now over all of the innocent babies and children in this country and we draw a bloodline around our children and innocent babies and we say no more! We draw a bloodline and say no more destruction, harm, evil or plot, scheme and plan of the enemy can come forth and hurt these children any longer in your name Jesus. We pray that this evil industry would be exposed and shut down in the name of Jesus.

- “Through the praise of children and infants you have established a stronghold against your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger.”  (Psalm 8:2)

 8.  Supreme Court rejects transgender restroom case - World

A Virginia school board lost its fight to keep single-sex restrooms and locker rooms divided between biological girls and boys. Gavin Grimm, born female, began identifying as a male while attending high school in Gloucester County, Va.

The principal initially allowed Grimm to use the boys restroom, but school policy required students to use facilities according to their biological sex. The school gave Grimm the option of a single-stall restroom, and Grimm sued for sex discrimination in 2015. Lower courts ruled in favor of Grimm in 2019 and 2020. On Monday, the Supreme Court declined to hear the school board’s appeal. Justices Samuel Alito and Clarence Thomas said they would have heard the case.

Why did the court let the appellate decision stand? The justices did not give a reason, but historically, the Supreme Court only gets involved in cases in which appellate circuits disagree. In its 2020 decision in favor of Grimm, the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals cited the reasoning the Supreme Court used in Bostock v. Clayton, in which it said discrimination on the basis of sex includes gender identity. In delivering that decision, Justice Neil Gorsuch wrote it did not pertain to restrooms and locker rooms. (Read more)

- Heavenly Father, Your design for human sexuality is good, and we thank You for it. Help us to consistently live in obedience to You, whether our culture and government is tolerant of our beliefs or not. Give us grace and wisdom to assist those who are struggling with their identity; help them to find it in You alone. In Jesus’ name, amen.

- So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. (Genesis 1:27)

9. Pennsylvania Gov. Vetoes GOP-Backed Election Integrity Bill - The Epoch Times

Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf vetoed a Republican-backed election overhaul bill that would expand voter identification requirements, move up the voter registration deadline, limit the use of drop-boxes, and allow county officials to conduct early pre-canvassing for mail-in ballots, among other measures.

In explaining why he vetoed the bill, the Democrat governor wrote that he “made it clear I wouldn’t sign a bill that creates barriers to voting,” adding “that’s exactly what this bill does by: Limiting mail ballots, Capping early voting, Cutting voter registration time.”

On Wednesday, Wolf also used his line-item veto authority to remove a budget legislation proposal that would earmark millions of dollars to create an election-auditing agency.

Wolf separately wrote in his veto letter that he wants to work on legislation that can be passed on a bipartisan basis later this year.

The election measure, known as the Voting Rights Protection Act, passed in the GOP-held state Senate by a vote of 29 to 21, falling short of the two-thirds majority to override Wolf’s veto. (Read more)

- Lord I thank you for raising up leaders who are making legislation to help correct the illegal election laws that were made last year. In this attempt to re-write the wrongs it seems there is huge opposition to weaken these precious voting laws in the State of Pennsylvania. But we know with you nothing is impossible. So we ask for your supernatural intervention. We ask for your solutions to these problems in Jesus name amen.

"If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it.” (John 14:14)

10. Bill Cosby released from prison after conviction vacated - ABC News

Bill Cosby was released from prison Wednesday after his conviction on sexual assault charges was overturned by Pennsylvania's highest court. The 83-year-old Cosby walked out of the State Correctional Institution Phoenix in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, Wednesday afternoon, officials told ABC News.

Cosby's publicist, Andrew Wyatt, told ABC News earlier Wednesday that he was going to pick Cosby up at the prison.
Aerial footage from Philadelphia ABC station WPVI showed Cosby getting out of a car at his Elkins Park, Pennsylvania, mansion wearing a maroon T-shirt and baggy trousers. He flashed a peace sign as people helped him walk into his home.

Cosby later emerged from his home and walked to the end of his driveway where he stood with Wyatt and his lawyers as they addressed the media. Cosby smiled as reporters asked him to respond to no longer being incarcerated, but he declined to speak.
"What we saw today was justice, justice for all Americans," Wyatt said. (Read more)

- Lord God we just pray your will into this situation right now. Only you Lord know the truth regarding Cosby and what happened, so we just pray that he finds you and makes you his Lord. We pray your justice into this situation now in Jesus name.

“Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near.” (Philippians 4:5)

Stupidocrisy: Biden Plan To End Gun Violence

The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, June 30, 2021

Joe Biden’s violent crime speech last Wednesday was promoted for days as announcing wonderful reforms to end violent crime. It was the same old same old. He rambled on about how gun shop owners who sell people guns without a background check are at fault; how violent crime is not the fault of city leaders whose cities have strict gun controls because criminals can buy guns in neighboring cities and states; how people released from prison don’t have tax assisted mental and financial support so they turn to violent crime; how gun makers should be held responsible for gun-related deaths, and so on. Biden actually said that the 2ndAmendment limited the type of people who could own a gun. WHAT?

He is the leader of a political party that facilitated the early release of violent criminals from prison, released from jail illegal immigrants who committed violent crimes; open the borders to foreign drug and human trafficking gangs that commit violent crime; refuses to enforce the laws and prosecute perpetrators in cities where violent riots occur and businesses are destroyed; and defunded police departments or tied their hands from enforcing the law. Now crime has spiked tremendously, and Biden is blaming it on former President Trump. But it is in Democrat-run, stringent gun-controlled cities and states where the violent crime has taken place—Chicago, New York, Baltimore, Portland, Seattle—just to name a few. Read More

“There was standing water all over the parking garage,” the contractor, who asked not to be named, told the Miami Herald. He noted cracking concrete and severely corroded rebar under the pool.

He also took photos, which he shared with the Herald.

The contractor visited the condo building last week to put together a bid for a cosmetic restoration of the pool as well as to price out new pool equipment — a small piece of the multimillion-dollar restoration project that just was getting underway at the 40-year-old building. Texas hailstone confirmed as largest ever in state

Shattered windows, dented cars and damaged homes and businesses became reality for portions of Texas and Oklahoma this past April when a massive hailstorm pelted the two states. Hailstones from the storm ranged in size from golf balls and baseballs to grapefruits -- but one stone, in particular, has made a name for itself for its record-breaking size.

A report released by the National Center for Environmental Information (NCEI) on June 22 confirmed that one hailstone that fell amid the damaging storm broke the record for its "unheard of" size as the largest hailstone in the state of Texas, a State Climate Extremes Committee (SCEC) unanimously confirmed.

The stone fell 1 mile south-southwest of the center of Hondo, Texas, roughly around 7:35 p.m. CDT on April 28. It measured 19.73 inches in circumference and 6.4 inches in diameter and weighed a whopping 1.26 pounds with a volume of 40.239 cubic inches.

Israeli camouflage tech makes soldiers ‘invisible’

Israeli survivability products company Polaris Solutions has developed a camouflage technology that renders soldiers on the battlefield virtually undetectable.

In cooperation with the Defense Ministry, the company recently unveiled Kit 300, an innovative camouflage sheet made out of a material that provides multispectral concealment.

According to Polaris Solutions, nothing else like its camouflage sheet exists on the market today.

“As far as we know, or as far as we saw in other armies around the world, we are very unique,” Asaf Picciotto, co-founder and CEO of Polaris Solutions, told The Media Line. “To establish that, we actually registered a patent on it in many countries around the world.”

The lightweight sheet is made out of a special thermal visual concealment (TVC) material, comprised of metals, polymers and microfibers. Thanks to TVC, soldiers are much more difficult to see both with the naked eye and with thermal imaging equipment.

Thus, it can be used for counter-surveillance in a wide variety of military scenarios. (Jerusalem Post) Read more and view photos here.

- Father, once again we thank You for the amazing ingenuity displayed by the Jewish people in developing this new technology. We ask that this be fully effective for the troops on the ground as they "disappear" from view. Praise God!

Thoughts for Repentance
I love how the Lord is so DIRECT! In Proverbs 6 He calls 7 sins ABOMINATIONS. The first one: a proud look.

It shows up again as Yeshua/ Jesus speaks in Mark 7:20-23" And He said, 'What comes out of a man, that defiles a man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within and defile a man."

Pride is the exact opposite of Jesus' claim for Himself that He was meek and lowly.
Proverbs 8:13 says: " The fear of the LORD is to hate evil; Pride and arrogance and the evil way and the perverse mouth I hate." Read More

ScriptureCome to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28–30

Lyrics:
Come, ye sinners, poor and needy,
Weak and wounded, sick and sore;
Jesus ready stands to save you,
Full of pity, love and power.

Refrain
I will arise and go to Jesus,
He will embrace me in His arms;
In the arms of my dear Savior,
O there are ten thousand charms.

Come, ye thirsty, come, and welcome,
God’s free bounty glorify;
True belief and true repentance,
Every grace that brings you nigh.

Refrain

Come, ye weary, heavy laden,
Lost and ruined by the fall;
If you tarry till you’re better,
You will never come at all.

Refrain

View Him prostrate in the garden;
On the ground your Maker lies.
On the bloody tree behold Him;
Sinner, will this not suffice?

Refrain

Lo! th’incarnate God ascended,
Pleads the merit of His blood:
Venture on Him, venture wholly,
Let no other trust intrude.

Refrain

Let not conscience make you linger,
Not of fitness fondly dream;
All the fitness He requireth
Is to feel your need of Him.

Refrain

About Capitol Hill Prayer Partners

Our Mission Statement

Capitol Hill Prayer Partners (CHPP) is a ministry which is positioned on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., helping members of the Body of Christ to "pray for those in authority over us" in our federal government. Our primary purpose is to offer intercession on site for the members of Congress and their staffs each day that the Senate and the House of Representatives are in session; and our chief prayer focus is that "God's will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." [Matthew 6:10].

Because Jesus Christ has shed His blood for all, we, too, pray for ALL, in a nonpartisan manner. Also, because the scriptures indicate that "the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 4:17), we are confident that fervent prayer, offered in the halls of the highest chambers of government in our land, can avail much for America. Capitol Hill Prayer Partners welcomes those who feel called to join us, engaging in this strategic work of intercession for our nation: "For there is no power but of God; the powers that be are ordained of God."
