1. Unity agreement signed: National Unity government to be formed - Israel National News
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Blue and White chairman Benny Gantz signed an agreement to form a unity government Monday evening, ending the political deadlock which prevented the formation of a coalition and led to three elections in less than a year.
"An agreement for the establishment of a national emergency government is now being signed by Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Blue and White (alliance) chairman... Benny Gantz," the parties said in a joint statement.
Commentator Amit Segal reported on Channel 12 News that the Likud and the right-wing parties will hold the position of the Knesset Speaker, chair the Finance, Economy and Coronavirus committees.

3. Hamas Threatens Violence if Israel Doesn't Meet Demands for Advanced Coronavirus Equipment - Algemeiner
As fears rise of a major coronavirus outbreak in Gaza, a senior Hamas official threatened violence against Israel if the terrorist group does not receive the equipment it wants to tackle the pandemic, Israel's Channel 13 reported on Sunday.
"We are keeping the option of using 'other tools' if we fail to make Israel comply with our demands to receive medical equipment that will enable us to deal with the coronavirus crisis," said Khalil al-Hayya on Sunday.
"We will not allow any Palestinian in the Gaza Strip to die from coronavirus because of the Gaza blockade," he fumed. "We are putting pressure on Israel through mediators to allow the entry of tools and equipment into Gaza."
"All options are open to force Israel to allow medical equipment to enter Gaza," al-Hayya added. Israel does not ban the transfer of medical equipment to Gaza, and has facilitated the passage of thousands of testing kits and masks. Israel's Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories regularly posts details of such transfers.

5. Netanyahu Asks Israeli Muslims to Confine Ramadan Observances to 'Nuclear Family' - Algemeiner
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu asked Israel's Muslim community over the weekend to obey ongoing coronavirus restrictions for the month of Ramadan as the infection rates in Arab communities skyrocketed.
A statement by Netanyahu and the Health and Finance Ministry Director-Generals noted that during Passover, "We imposed restrictions on movement and a general lockdown on holidays."
"I would now like to turn to our Muslim citizens," Netanyahu said. "Ramadan is almost upon us. Just as the Jewish citizens of Israel acted during Passover, I now request that you have the Ramadan meals only with your nuclear family."
"I ask you to preserve the whole and thus take care of yourselves and your loved ones," the prime minister added.

1. Trump: Some governors have gone too far on coronavirus restrictions - The Hill
President Trump on Sunday said he believes some governors have "gone too far" in imposing restrictions meant to slow the spread of the coronavirus.
Trump told reporters at a White House briefing that he did not have an issue with the protesters who have flouted social distancing guidelines to voice displeasure with the restrictions, which have shuttered businesses and spiked unemployment.
"Some have gone too far. Some governors have gone too far. Some of the things that happened are maybe not so appropriate," Trump said. "And I think in the end it's not going to matter because we're starting to open up our states, and I think they're going to open up very well."
"As far as protesters, you know, I see protesters for all sorts of things," he added. "And I'm with everybody. I'm with everybody."

2. Bipartisan senators propose $500B rescue fund for states - The Hill
A pair of bipartisan senators is proposing that a $500 billion fund for state governments to use in response to the coronavirus outbreak be part of the next stimulus package passed by Congress in the weeks or months ahead.
Sens. Bill Cassidy (R-La.) and Bob Menendez (D-N.J.) said in a joint press release Sunday that the fund would build on $150 billion already allocated to various states in the package passed by lawmakers and signed by President Trump in late March.
The bill they plan to announce "ensures every eligible entity receives additional funding, increases flexibility for states and local governments to use the funds to plug revenue losses due to the COVID-19 outbreak, and targets additional funding toward coronavirus hot zones to combat the pandemic head-on," according to their press release.

3. Coronavirus relief package stalls just short of a deal - Politico
The Senate broke on Monday afternoon with no deal to replenish an empty relief fund for small businesses, though the Senate scheduled a Tuesday session in case negotiators complete a deal in the next 24 hours.
In a brief Monday session, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) scolded Democrats for "prolonging their discussions" with President Donald Trump and his administration over a relief package of nearly $500 billion.
"It's now been four days since the Paycheck Protection Program ran out of money. Republicans have been trying to secure more funding for this critical program for a week and a half," McConnell said. "However, since this is so urgent, I have asked that the Senate to meet again tomorrow in a new session that was not previously scheduled, and the Democratic leader has agreed to my request. It is past time to get this done for the country."

4. Donald Trump: Coronavirus Exposed Dangers of Supply Chains Dependent on China - Breitbart
President Donald Trump said Saturday the biggest lesson of the coronavirus crisis was that the United States should not rely on China for their supply chains.
"We've learned a lot about supply chains," Trump said. "We've learned that it's nice to make things in the U.S., I've been saying that for a long time."
The president discussed the issue during the White House press briefing, recalling he ran for president on the dangers of America's dependence on bad trade deals and foreign countries while gutting our country's industries.
"If one thing comes out of this more than anything else is that we should make product in the United States," he said.
Trump noted that he also promised as a candidate to be tough on China and successfully pressured them with tariffs to make an important trade deal.
"With China, we made the deal, and it became friendly, but then this happened," he recalled.

5. Peter Navarro: China 'cornered' the personal protective equipment market and 'is profiteering' during coronavirus outbreak - Fox
White House Trade Adviser Peter Navarro said during an exclusive interview on "Sunday Morning Futures" that China "cornered" the personal protective equipment (PPE) market during the coronavirus outbreak and "is profiteering."
Navarro, who is also the National Defense Production Act policy coordinator, made the comment on Sunday reacting to a recent Fox News report, which cited multiple sources, that there is increasing confidence that the COVID-19 outbreak likely originated in a Wuhan laboratory, though not as a bioweapon but as part of China's attempt to demonstrate that its efforts to identify and combat viruses are equal to or greater than the capabilities of the United States.
Navarro, who was one of the first to warn about the novel coronavirus, noted "China did [several things] over the course of this thing," which, he said, "led to the deaths of many people worldwide."
"First of all, the virus was spawned in China. Second of all, they hid the virus behind the shield of the World Health Organization. The third thing they did was basically hoard personal protective equipment and now they're profiteering from it," Navarro told host Maria Bartiromo, referencing the fact that many states have been dealing with a shortage of PPE for health care workers during the coronavirus crisis.

6. Ilhan Omar says coronavirus outbreak calls for 'radical' takeover of private hospitals - Fox
U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar on Tuesday night suggested what she admitted may be a "radical idea" to help fight the coronavirus outbreak.
"All private hospitals should be made public for the duration of the virus," the Minnesota Democrat wrote on Twitter.
U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar on Tuesday night suggested what she admitted may be a "radical idea" to help fight the coronavirus outbreak.
"All private hospitals should be made public for the duration of the virus," the Minnesota Democrat wrote on Twitter.
Omar offered no specifics on how the takeover of private property would be achieved, but critics on social media quickly reacted that Omar's plan sounded like communism.
"Here is another radical idea," one Twitter commenter wrote. "Let's admit that communism doesn't work and that it caused the #ChineseVirus."

7. 1984: De Blasio Urges New Yorkers To Rat Out Social Distancing Violations By Texting Photos To Authorities - Daily Wire
Mayor Bill de Blasio wants New Yorkers to tattle on anyone they see who is not following his social distancing orders during the coronavirus crisis by snapping a photograph on their cell phones and texting it to the city.
"How do you report places that aren't enforcing social distancing? It's simple: just snap a photo and text it to 311-692," De Blasio wrote Saturday on Twitter.
"Now it is easier than ever," the mayor said in a short video posted to his official Twitter account. "When you see a crowd, when you see a line that's not distanced, when you see a supermarket that's too crowded - anything - you can report it right away so we can get help there to fix the problem."
"We will make sure that enforcement comes right away. Text the photo to 311-692 and action will ensue. Enforcement will come to get the help we need," De Blasio warned.

8. Federal Judge Doubts Kansas Gov.'s Order Limiting Religious Gatherings, Blocks It for 2 Churches - Christian News
A federal judge has indicated that Kansas Governor Laura Kelly's order limiting in-person attendance at religious services or activities to 10 people is likely unconstitutional, blocking its enforcement against two churches.
Kelly's order, which was issued in response to the COVID-19 outbreak, was prevented from being enforced against a church in Dodge City in western Kansas and one in Junction City in northeast Kansas by U.S. District Judge John Broomes. The judge's temporary block occurred on Saturday after the churches filed a federal lawsuit to prevent the enforcement of the governor's order.
Judge Broomes' decision will remain in effect until May 2 with a hearing set for Thursday, at which time Broomes will decide if he should issue a longer-term or broader injunction.

9. EXCLUSIVE: Group Working To Confirm Trump's SCOTUS Nominees Lets Loose On NYT's Biden Story- Daily Caller
An advocacy group that helps to confirm and defend President Donald Trump's judicial nominees is railing against what it said is The New York Times' lack of objectivity and conservative bias.
The NYT's work downplaying the allegations against former Vice President Joe Biden is a black mark on the paper's legacy, according to The Article III Project, an advocacy group that works to support Trump's judicial nominees.
The group lashed out at NYT Executive Editor Dean Baquet in a letter Friday obtained exclusively by the Daily Caller News Foundation.
"The conservative readership of the Times, not to mention many conservative former Times readers, will have no trouble solving this riddle," the group wrote after posing a hypothetical scenario in which the paper jumps on top of one story about a conservative judge while waiting weeks to mention sexual allegations leveled against a Democrat running for president.
"That's a problem. Not just for the New York Times, not just for the falsely accused, and not just for disbelieved and discounted accusers, but for America. It is a problem when our 'newspaper of record,' which should be a bastion of objectivity, instead lives down to the President's nickname for it: “failing," the group added.

10. 16 killed in shooting rampage, deadliest in Canadian history - AP
Royal Canadian Mounted Police officers surround a suspect at a gas station in Enfield, Nova Scotia, Sunday April 19, 2020. Canadian police say multiple people are dead plus the suspect after a shooting rampage across the province of Nova Scotia. It was the deadliest shooting in Canada in 30 years.
TORONTO (AP) - A gunman disguised as a police officer shot people in their homes and set fires in a rampage across the Canadian province of Nova Scotia that killed 16 people, the deadliest such attack in the country's history. Officials said Sunday the suspected shooter was also dead.
A police officer was among those killed. Several bodies were found inside and outside one home in the small, rural town of Portapique, about 60 miles (100 kilometers) north of Halifax - what police called the first scene. Bodies were also found at other locations. The assault began late Saturday, and authorities believe the shooter may have targeted his first victims but then began attacking randomly.
Overnight, police began advising residents of the town - already on lockdown because of the coronavirus pandemic - to lock their doors and stay in their basements. Several homes in the area were set on fire as well.
Police identified the man believed to be the shooter as Gabriel Wortman, 51, who was thought to live part-time in Portapique. Authorities said he wore a police uniform at one point and made his car look like a Royal Canadian Mounted Police cruiser.

The post COVID-19 new world
There will be new normals because of COVID-19 with long-term prophetic implications. The extent of how that will play out is yet to be seen. The entire episode has set a precedent for overreaching government strong arming people and using fear to get folks to voluntarily abandon their freedoms. Governments have quickly cooperated resulting in people around the world being locked down in their homes. This is a radical departure from the ideals of freedom of assembly and freedom of privacy, among others. It demonstrates that in some cases, such as a worldwide virus, governments can suspend normal freedoms and rights to do what they want. And they can do it very quickly in the name of benevolence.
In America, we already have seen that when the government benevolence goes into action during a crisis, the "little foxes that spoil the vines (Song of Solomon 2:15)," use the crisis to advance their agenda, debating nonsense while people suffer and die. While the act itself has been done by politicians for decades, the precedent has been set that chips away at the Constitutional Republic. Every chip, being a piece of freedom, leaving in its place a sculpture of socialism, the demise of American exceptionalism. While the government grabbing of authority over the people at times may be necessary to protect the population, the lack of sunset provisions to do away with the authority when the crisis passes is telltale of future intent.
Another new normal is the use of technology. People are using video systems like Zoom and Facetime to communicate and do business. Family meetings, business meetings, happy hours, church services are all using technology to gather and connect. Technology will continue to play a large role in societies around the world, but COVID-19 advanced the use of technology. With this use, comes yet another single point of control. Companies like Google, Yahoo, and other big tech firms are able to exercise more control over what people hear and see through their influence by just the mere use of these platforms that are also gateways for collecting personal information. This is an acceleration of control disguised as freedom.
COVID-19 has caused people everywhere have had to slow their lives down and spend time with their families. Hopefully, through all this, we have relearned patience, empathy, compassion and kindness and how to apply that to others. It would be a good new normal because with all the other aspects of the post COVID-19 new world, we are going to need more love between us. We are seeing how a one world order, with all of its trimmings, quickly can be established. And as Christ said in Matthew 24:12, "And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold." We, the people of the WAY, must learn to lead by the example and exhortation of Christ in love, discernment and wisdom.

A Quick Note
A quick note:
What a great team you are!
Dear Friends,
I want to thank you for the MANY who responded to my alert yesterday, repeating the information we released about the history of that precious Bible that now sits on the desk in the Oval Office, belonging to President Trump.
Many of you have offered numerous videos, telling the story I tried to share on Monday's Brief.
AGAIN - Google will NOT allow me to show any of these videos (all the same with different links) - PERIOD!
So . . . we then went to Plan B and told the bigger story under the title, "The President's Bible - Part Two."
I was personally blessed to see that there was SO MUCH INTEREST in this story, given the responses we received to this report.
We now join with you in lifting up our dear President, in this time of great national distress, asking our Lord to "redig the well" in his soul, that he might find "rivers of refreshing" in a time of despair.
Thank you all, and God bless you!

Lyrics
Praise Him, praise Him-Jesus, our blessèd Redeemer,
Sing, O earth, His wonderful love proclaim.
Hail Him! hail Him! highest archangels in glory;
Strength and honor give to His holy name!
Like a shepherd, Jesus will guard His children,
In His arms He carries them all day long:
O ye saints that dwell on the mountain of Zion.
Praise Him, praise Him ever in joyful song.
Praise Him, praise Him-Jesus, our blessèd Redeemer,
For our sins He suffered, and bled, and died;
He our rock, our hope of eternal salvation,
Hail Him, hail Him, Jesus the Crucified.
Loving Savior, meekly enduring sorrow,
Crowned with thorns that cruelly pierced His brow;
Once for us rejected, despised and forsaken,
Prince of Glory, He is triumphant now.
Praise Him, praise Him-Jesus, our blessèd Redeemer,
Heav'nly portals loud with hosannas ring,
Jesus, Savior, reigneth forever and ever.
Crown Him! Crown Him-Prophet, and Priest, and King!
Death is vanquished! Tell it with joy, ye faithful.
Where is now thy victory, boasting grave?
Jesus lives! No longer thy portals are cheerless;
Jesus lives, the mighty and strong to save.

FRAGMENTS OF COMET ATLAS
There's no longer any doubt. Comet ATLAS is falling apart. Around the world, amateur astronomers are beginning to witness the breakup, even imaging individual fragments. Jose de Queiroz photographed as many as 3 pieces on April 11th.
"I took the picture using the 90 cm telescope at Observatory Mirasteilas in Falera, Switzerland," says de Queiroz. "This is a stacked 20x120 sec exposure."
Confirming images from the Lulin One-meter Telescope in Taiwan have just been reported in an Astronomer's Telegram. The observing team, led by Zhong-Yi Lin of Taiwan's National Central University, estimates that the leading fragment is about 3400 km ahead of the trailing pair.
The breakup of Comet ATLAS coincides with a sharp decline in its brightness. The Comet Observation Database shows a drop of two full magnitudes (a factor of more than 6).
These trends suggest that the comet *might* completely desolve before its close approach to the sun inside the orbit of Mercury at the end of May. "Follow-up observations of C/2019 Y4 (ATLAS), both imaging and spectroscopy, are highly recommended to investigate the cause of this cometary breakup event," says Lin and colleagues.
