1. Likud demands President Rivlin hand mandate to Netanyahu - World Israel News
The mandate of Blue and White leader Benny Gantz to form a government expires at midnight on Monday. President Reuven Rivlin has already announced he will reject Gantz's request for a 14-day extension.
However, he has also said he won't transfer the mandate to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, angering the Likud party.
Rivlin has the right to choose what to do with the mandate. He has decided that instead of giving it to Netanyahu, he will deliver it straight to the Knesset, which will have three weeks to pick someone from its ranks to form a government. From past experience, it is unlikely to succeed, increasing the chances of a fourth election.
Rivlin may have made his announcement in order to put pressure on Netanyahu and Gantz to come to an agreement in their ongoing talks to form a unity government. They still have Monday to sign an agreement.

2. Netanyahu invites Gantz for late-night unity government negotiations - Jerusalem Post
Both Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Blue and White leader Benny Gantz called for the formation of a national emergency government to fight the coronavirus Monday night, hours ahead of the midnight deadline set by President Reuven Rivlin to reach a deal.
Netanyahu vowed to work for such a government but hinted that it could still take time. Rivlin is expected to initiate a three-week period in which any MK can form a government.
"Benny, I am waiting for you in the Prime Minister's Residence in Jerusalem," Netanyahu wrote on Twitter. "Let us meet and sign an agreement tonight on a national emergency government that will save lives and work for the citizens of Israel."
Addressing the prime minister moments earlier, Gantz encouraged him to make the concessions necessary to finalize a deal.

3. Netanyahu declares new lockdown restrictions until day after Passover - World Israel News
On Monday evening, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the nation on live television to lay out new rules that will be in place until the day after Passover, a day on which Israelis normally gather for Mimouna celebrations.
Netanyahu announced nationwide restrictions starting on Tuesday at 5 p.m. and lasting until Thursday at 5 a.m. under which Israelis will be prohibited from traveling outside of their communities. Those who live in Jerusalem will be restricted to their neighborhoods.
The prime minister also announced that bakeries will not reopen on Thursday, the day after Passover. Traditionally, this is a time when Israelis flock to eateries to enjoy leavened products such as bread and pastries, items from which many refrain from eating in adherence with Jewish dietary laws during the seven-day festival.
In addition to announcing the new restrictions, Netanyahu also specifically addressed coronavirus' impact on nursing homes, which have been hit particularly hard by the virus. The prime minister said that Israel is focusing particular attention on these facilities, where 40 Israelis have died from the virus, a number Netanyahu said was "small" in comparison with other nations.

4. Netanyahu: If we relax now, we will pay a heavy price - Israel National News
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu delivered a statement Monday evening on the fight against the coronavirus and the government's 'exit strategy' from the restrictions placed on the economy and freedom of movement.
"In the global and national struggle in the coronavirus war there is no respite; a fierce battle is being waged here between the chances of success and the danger of failure," Netanyahu began.
"I want to share with you one statistic that the South Korean government has released in the last few days - 191 people who were thought to have made a complete recovery tested positive again. If this is true, the reality is far more complex than we thought. It's only natural and human [to want to get back to normal life] but in the coronavirus war there is no choice," the prime minister added.
"Israel ranks as one of the safest places in the world in terms of the number of people infected. We have seen increases of up to 22% in the number of people contracting the virus from day to day; today, the increase was just 4%. But if we loosen the regulations too soon, we will pay a heavy price."
Netanyahu announced the new guidelines the government will approve for the holiday: "From 5 PM tomorrow until Thursday at 5 AM it is mandatory to stay within the immediate vicinity of one's home, not traveling from one neighborhood to another and certainly not between cities."

5. Israel Expects Full Return to Work in Most Industries by May 30 - Algemeiner
CTech - As of next week, Israel will start to roll back some of the restrictions it put in place to slow the spread of the coronavirus (Covid-19), according to the plan to jump-start the economy submitted by Israel's Ministry of Finance Saturday night to the National Security Council. According to the plan, as of April 19, companies will be permitted to have 50% of their employees return to work from the office, as long as employees can still follow social distancing guidelines. In addition, shopping centers containing fewer than 15 stores will be allowed to reopen.
The plan was drafted by Israel's Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Economy, and Bank of Israel governor Amir Yaron, but still needs to be approved by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in order to go ahead officially.
Looking further ahead, starting May 3, companies will be allowed to have 85% of their employees work from the office, grades one through three will return to in-class instruction - with reduced numbers of students per class - and malls will reopen.
Israel recorded its 103rd coronavirus death and saw a total of 10,878 confirmed Covid-19 cases as of Sunday morning, according to the country's Health Ministry. The number of people in severe condition in Israel reached 174, with 123 of them requiring connection to ventilators. More than 1,385 people throughout the country have recovered from the disease.

1. New Data Shows U.S. Companies Are Definitely Leaving China - Forbes
U.S. companies are leaving China thanks to the trade war. They'll leave even more thanks to the pandemic.
Sorry, Davos Man. Your China-led globalization is going out of style like bell bottoms.
Global manufacturing consulting firm Kearney released its seventh annual Reshoring Index on Tuesday, showing what it called a "dramatic reversal" of a five-year trend as domestic U.S. manufacturing in 2019 commanded a significantly greater share versus 14 Asian exporters tracked in the study. Manufacturing imports from China were the hardest hit.
Last year saw companies actively rethinking their supply chain, either convincing their Chinese partners to relocate to southeast Asia to avoid tariffs, or by opting out of sourcing from China altogether.
"Three decades ago, U.S. producers began manufacturing and sourcing in China for one reason: costs. The trade war brought a second dimension more fully into the equation―risk―as tariffs and the threat of disrupted China imports prompted companies to weigh surety of supply more fully alongside costs. COVID-19 brings a third dimension more fully into the mix, and arguably to the fore: resilience―the ability to foresee and adapt to unforeseen systemic shocks," says Patrick Van den Bossche, Kearney partner and co-author of the 19-page report.

2. Peter Navarro: China 'Very Aggressively' Trying To 'Gain Control' Of U.N. By Using 'Colonial Type Proxies' - Daily Wire
White House Trade Adviser Peter Navarro explained to Fox News anchor Martha MacCallum on Wednesday night how communist China is trying to take control of United Nations' agencies and how China harmed the rest of the world by trying to cover-up the coronavirus outbreak in their country.
"Martha, let me - let me give you a kind of bigger look at the chessboard here, because the U.N. itself has 15 specialized agencies including the WHO, the World Intellectual Property Organization, things like that," Navarro said. "And what China has been doing very, very aggressively over the last decade is to try to gain control of those by electing people to the top. It already controls 5 of the 15. And also by using proxies, colonial type proxies like Tedros, at the WHO."
"And as you can see in this crisis, the damage that that kind of control by China, the key health organization, has been just absolutely enormous. They suppressed the human to human transmission. They refused to call this a pandemic. . . They basically discouraged travel ban," Navarro continued. "So I mean this is one of the most serious things we've ever seen. And it all tracks to China's view of the world and how they want to control different types of international organizations, even as they don't play by the international rules."

3. Trump says he'll use 'facts and instincts' when deciding to push for US to reopen - The Hill
In a phone interview on Fox News's "Justice with Judge Jeanine," Trump acknowledged that the decision would be "the toughest decision I ever made and hopefully the most difficult I will ever have to make."
"I hope I'm going to make the right decision," he said. "I will be basing it on a lot of very smart people, a lot of professionals, doctors and business leaders. There are a lot of things that go into a decision like that. And it's going to be based on a lot of facts and instincts. Whether you like it or not, there is a certain instinct to it."
He added that the White House would be making an announcement on the subject "reasonably" soon.
Trump has alternated between pushing for the U.S. economy to reopen and deferring to medical experts who have called for social distancing guidelines to remain in place until the U.S. outbreak begins receding.
Trump said earlier this month that the health of the country would take priority over the economy amid the pandemic. Then, at a White House briefing on Friday, the president said he wanted to open the economy "as soon as possible" and would convene an "Opening Our Country Council."
"This country was meant to be open and vibrant and great," he said.

4. Portable Army Hospital Sent To Deal with COVID Disaster in WA Closes, Never Saw a Single Patient- Western Journal
A field hospital set up by the U.S. Army at the CenturyLink Field Event Center in Seattle to handle overflow from hospitals dealing with COVID-19 patients closed up nine days after setup began and didn't see a single patient, KUOW reported Wednesday.
In a statement, Washington Gov. Jay Inslee said the hospital would "be returned to the Federal Emergency Management Agency so it can be deployed to another state facing a more significant need."
The facility, which housed 250 beds, had begun setup on March 30 and was designed to relieve hospitals in the city in case there was a surge. It was ready to receive patients on April 5 but never actually received one.
The state of Washington will continue to offer additional hospital beds in case overflow happens around the state, Inslee said.
"Though this one field hospital is being returned, state and local leaders continue to bolster resources throughout the state's hospital and medical systems," his statement read.

-Lord, we thank You that this news appears to be good in that the state of Washigton didn't need more beds. We continue to take authority over this virus and command it to stop now in the name of Jesus! We also bind over-reaction and fear in the Name of Jesus!
-"Behold I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you." (Luke 10:19)
5. Dumped Milk, Smashed Eggs, Plowed Vegetables: Food Waste of the Pandemic- NYT
In Wisconsin and Ohio, farmers are dumping thousands of gallons of fresh milk into lagoons and manure pits. An Idaho farmer has dug huge ditches to bury 1 million pounds of onions. And in South Florida, a region that supplies much of the Eastern half of the United States with produce, tractors are crisscrossing bean and cabbage fields, plowing perfectly ripe vegetables back into the soil.
After weeks of concern about shortages in grocery stores and mad scrambles to find the last box of pasta or toilet paper roll, many of the nation's largest farms are struggling with another ghastly effect of the pandemic. They are being forced to destroy tens of millions of pounds of fresh food that they can no longer sell.
The closing of restaurants, hotels and schools has left some farmers with no buyers for more than half their crops. And even as retailers see spikes in food sales to Americans who are now eating nearly every meal at home, the increases are not enough to absorb all of the perishable food that was planted weeks ago and intended for schools and businesses.
The amount of waste is staggering. The nation's largest dairy cooperative, Dairy Farmers of America, estimates that farmers are dumping as many as 3.7 million gallons of milk each day. A single chicken processor is smashing 750,000 unhatched eggs every week.
-Lord, we pray for our farmers, the growers, and producers of our food. We ask that this lockdown would quickly cease, and the waste that is occurring will stop. We pray for avenues of Your creation for them to sell their goods, that all people in the nation would have enough to eat.
-"Moreover the profit of the land is for all; the king himself is served from the field."(Ecclesiastes 5:9)
6. Hit by virus, Pentagon warns enemies: don't test us- AFP
With an aircraft carrier forced into port and staff at bases handling nuclear missiles hit by COVID-19, the US military wants rivals to understand: don't test us, we have not been weakened.
Statement after statement from the Pentagon has sought to deliver that message amid questions this week over whether the US fighting force can maintain full readiness, with cases among service members now at 2,031.
"We're still capable and we're still ready no matter what the threat," Joint Chiefs Chairman General Mark Milley said Thursday.
"I wouldn't want any mixed messages going out there to any adversaries that they can take advantage of an opportunity, if you will, at a time of crisis," he added.
"That would be a terrible and tragic mistake if they thought that."
- 150 bases affected -
Unlike rivals Russia, China and Iran, the US Defense Department has tried to be transparent about the outbreak, publishing daily totals of infections among its troops, civilian workers and families.
Including civilian staff, military family members, and contractors, total Department of Defense infections were at 3,366 on Friday, with one death.
Having initially given the location of cases, it now only offers broader totals, however, to avoid enemies knowing the points at which US forces might have been weakened.
One is well-known: the carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt, forced to dock in Guam for an extended period because of an outbreak that has hit 416 of the 4,800 aboard.
More than half the sailors have been evacuated while the entire crew is tested and the warship undergoes a thorough cleaning.
On Thursday Newsweek published a map showing that coronavirus cases had appeared on 150 military bases, challenging the Pentagon's secrecy.
Hans Kristensen, an expert on nuclear weapons at the Federation of American Scientists, says all but one US nuclear installation has been hit by the virus.

7. U.S. Postmaster General: Postal Service Could 'Collapse' in Wake of Coronavirus Outbreak - Breitbart
U.S. Postmaster General Megan Brennan told the House Committee on Oversight and Reform late last week in a video that unless the U.S. Postal Service gets a federal bailout it will run out of money by the end of September.
Mail volume has fallen steeply in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, and the federal agency is expecting the same downward turn in revenues.
Huffington Post Australia reported on the dilemma and what it means for consumers:
Postal workers remain on the front lines of the crisis, handling prescription drug shipments, lab test materials and medical supplies that are crucial to efforts to contain the virus. Mail-in voting has also allowed the democratic process to survive in the era of social distancing.
The Postal Service, which employs 650,000 people, is asking for $75 billion in aid from the government, and, according to the New York Times, another $14 billion to pay off debt related to a retirement benefits program ― a whopping $89 billion total.
"At a time when America needs the Postal Service more than ever, the reason we are so needed is having a devastating effect on our business," Brennan said in the statement. "The Postal Service relies on the sale of postal products and services to fund our operations, and these sales are plummeting as a result of the pandemic. The sudden drop in mail volumes, our most profitable revenue stream, is steep and may never fully recover."

-Father, Your people are always in need of the Postal Service. We pray that wisdom would come to them in the administration of the mail, so that they would not collapse.

8. All 50 states under disaster declaration for first time in US history- The Hill
All 50 states are under a major disaster declaration for the first time in U.S. history, after President Trump approved Wyoming's declaration Saturday.
Within 22 days, Trump declared a major emergency in all 50 states and most territories through the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The final disaster declaration occurred on the same day the U.S.'s death toll surpassed Italy's to become the country with the most deaths from the virus.
Trump approved the first major disaster declaration for coronavirus in New York on March 20, followed two days later by Washington and California, the early hotspots of the virus. New York has become the most affected state from the virus, recording 188,694 positive cases and 9,385 deaths, according to the state's health department.

9. Democrats Across The Country Are Fighting To Give Coronavirus Aid To Illegal Aliens- Daily Caller
Democratic lawmakers in Congress are calling on the federal government to make illegal aliens eligible for federal relief amid the coronavirus pandemic, while local and state Democratic leaders have already made their coffers available for those living unlawfully in the country.
President Donald Trump signed the CARES Act on March 27, making $2.2 trillion in stimulus funds available for families and U.S. businesses hurting under the coronavirus-induced lockdown. The relief package not only provides up to $10 million in forgivable loans for each small business, but also $1,200 to single Americans who make $75,000 or less a year.
While the stimulus package was by a wide margin in both chambers of Congress and was considered essential in the fight against COVID-19, not everyone was completely satisfied with the bill.
"I was appalled to learn hardworking, taxpaying immigrants were left out of the $2 trillion CARES Act," California Rep. Lou Correa said in a statement released on April 3. Correa, along with 49 other House Democrats, supports the Leave No Taxpayer Behind Act which, if passed into law, would allow illegal aliens to tap into the funds provided by the CARES Act.

10. Massive Earthquakes, Volcanoes now Erupting Worldwide - Breaking Israel News
The waves of earthquakes are rocking the center of the U.S. and the sudden awakening of several volcanoes around the world may be a sign of the pre-Messiah shake-up predicted by the prophets. At the same time, several far more mild earthquakes in Israel seem to embody the Biblical concept of God's mercy being aroused by Man's actions.
The earth seems to be waking up as seismic activity is being reported around the globe. Last month, a 6.5 magnitude earthquake shook Idaho, generating a multitude of avalanches. The quake was the largest in the region since a 6.9 quake hit in 1983. There have been 238 earthquakes in Idaho in the last week according to the U.S. Geological Survey website. Five of those have been substantial in size rating 4.0 to 6.5. Idaho isn't new to experiencing earthquakes.
Two weeks before Idaho felt the earth move, Salt Lake City, Utah, approximately 340 miles away from the Idaho epicenter, was hit by a 5.7 magnitude earthquake. Since that earthquake, there have been 886 smaller earthquakes and aftershocks in the Salt Lake area.

The debate on saving COVID-19 lives
Against the backdrop of the New York Times and CNN doing more hit pieces on President Donald Trump using COVID-19 Task Force's Dr. Fauci as the hitman, Americans should all be wondering when we are going to work together to solve this virus problem. Fauci answered a direct question about whether lives could have been saved if the government had acted sooner on the early information it had. Fauci replied, "Obviously you could logically say that if you had a process that was ongoing and you started mitigation earlier you could've saved lives, obviously." Thus, the words that created another firestorm of people accusing Trump of being a murderer. Sadly, this statement of fact will be abused now and forever.
Hindsight is usually picture perfect. Clearly, had anyone really known that COVID-19 was a virulent as it was, and that if the nation went into lockdown in February, lives could have been saved. It would be dense-minded to conclude otherwise. Democrats and the news media are focused on blaming Trump and his Administration for the deaths related to COVID-19. Fauci's connections to the World Health Organization and globalist foundations cause pause in his credibility from the standpoint that he could be someone on the inside who is collaborating with others to bring down the Trump presidency. Irrespective, the statement that shutting down the country earlier would have saved lives, is with all probability, true.
Let us remember what was happening in January. Trump was under relentless fire every day from the news media and the Democratic leadership trying to impeach him, remove him from office. To be approached about a flu virus at that time would have seemed nominal, and let us also remember that Trump's early attempts in January to address COVID-19 were met with ridicule and name calling from the Democratic leadership. This is clearly documented. For those who say that lives could have been saved if Trump would have acted to shut down the country sooner, the answer is yes. Then there is a big "BUT..." But, fact is, lives could have been saved if Democrats and the media hadn't been so focused on removing Trump.
If the Democratic leadership understood the COVID-19 threat (and they had more info than we did), why didn't they act in January instead of pursuing impeachment and ridiculing the President when he banned travel from China? To this day, no constructive suggestions arise from either the Democratic leadership or the news media about how to handle this plague. We are Americans. We have solved mighty problems and met insurmountable challenges when we have worked together. The headline today should read, "If Democrats would have worked with Republicans on COVID-19, lives would have been saved." Instead, the deception continues. Christ said in Matthew 24:4, "Take heed that no man deceive you." Instead of placing blame in the midst of a deadly crisis, give solutions to the problem. Apparently, they have none.
Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

ON CHRIST THE SOLID ROCK I STAND
"The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock." (Matthew 7:25-26)
Lyrics
My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus' blood and righteousness.
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly trust in Jesus' name.
Refrain
On Christ the solid rock I stand,
All other ground is sinking sand;
All other ground is sinking sand.
When darkness seems to hide His face,
I rest on His unchanging grace.
In every high and stormy gale,
My anchor holds within the veil.
Refrain
His oath, His covenant, His blood,
Support me in the whelming flood.
When all around my soul gives way,
He then is all my hope and stay.

When He shall come with trumpet sound,
Oh may I then in Him be found.
Dressed in His righteousness alone,
Faultless to stand before the throne.

Awakening volcanic region in Iceland 'could cause disruption for centuries'
Volcanic activity is escalating in a region of Iceland that has not erupted for 800 years, with scientists warning it could cause disruption for centuries to come.
Since 21 January, the Reykjanes peninsula south-west of Iceland's capital, Reykjavik, has experienced more than 8,000 earthquakes and about 10cm of land uplift due to magma intrusions underground.
"It seems that after being relatively inactive for many centuries, this region is waking up," said Dave McGarvie, a volcanologist at Lancaster University.
Situated close to the town of Grindavík and the popular Blue Lagoon tourist attraction, and only nine miles (15km) from Iceland's international airport, the region last erupted about 800 years ago (though there have been more recent eruptions offshore). Geological evidence shows the area is fed by five volcanic systems, which seem to come to life in a coordinated way roughly every 1,000 years.
The last period of volcanic activity on the peninsula began in the 10th century and continued until the 13th. Unlike typical Icelandic volcanoes, which tend to wake for a few years and then die down, when this region gets going it appears to splutter on and off for up to 300 years, producing eruptive episodes (locally known as "fires") lasting a few decades. Long thin cracks known as fissures extend up to five miles (8km), producing fountains of lava, usually without large amounts of ash or explosive activity.
