1. Blue and White calls off coalition talks over dispute on judicial appointments - Times of Israel
Having previously indicated a deal on an emergency unity government was done, the Blue and White party on Monday evening said it was breaking off coalition talks with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud over the latter's efforts to walk back an agreement regarding judicial appointments.
"After reaching understandings on all issues, the Likud party asked to re-open discussions regarding the committee to appoint judges. In light of this, negotiations have been halted. We will not allow any change in the functioning of the judiciary nor damage to democracy," Blue and White said in a statement.
The announcement came soon after reports said the parties had reached understandings on the final thorny negotiation issues, including the potential annexation of parts of the West Bank under the US peace proposal and power over the justice system.

2. Israeli defense companies are turning radars into coronavirus symptom detectors - JNS
(April 6, 2020 / JNS) Two major Israeli defense companies have developed cutting-edge coronavirus symptom detectors that will allow doctors to remotely pick up on suspicious symptoms of COVID-19. The sensors were created by adapting radar and camera technology that come from the defense and homeland security world.
The program, initiated by the Defense Ministry's Directorate of Defense Research and Development, has seen Israel Aerospace Industries and Elbit Systems rapidly take radars and elecro-optic (camera) sensors and convert them into highly sensitive sensors that will enable medical teams to screen patients from another room, thereby greatly enhancing their safety.
In recent days, the Defense Ministry announced that its National Emergency Team, together with IAI and Elbit, have developed the prototypes to measure the vital signs of patients, including pulse, respiratory rate and temperature, and pick out patterns that indicate a likely coronavirus infection.

3. Passover closure to begin at 7 p.m., curfew to take effect Wednesday afternoon - Times of Israel
The cabinet on Tuesday approved a closure and curfew over the Passover holiday to stem the outbreak of the coronavirus, which will keep Israelis within their cities and towns and authorize police to detain violators.
The sweeping orders will also require Israelis to start wearing face masks outdoors beginning Sunday. Following a several-hour meeting, ministers green-lighted emergency regulations that will ban all intercity traffic from 7 p.m. on Tuesday until Friday at 6 a.m. Supermarkets, food deliveries and other essential services will, however, continue to operate until Wednesday afternoon at 3 p.m., and then be allowed to resume Thursday morning.
In a tighter curfew, which coincides with the Passover seder, from Wednesday at 3 p.m. until Thursday at 7 a.m., Israelis will be banned from venturing out further than 100 meters from their homes and all businesses in the country will be shut.

5. Foreign Suppliers Renege on Ventilating Machine Orders to Israel: 'It's a World War' -Jewish Press
Israel's efforts to quickly procure respirators from overseas have totally failed this week, according to a report in Haaretz Tuesday morning, and as a result, Israeli health officials have decided to stop the purchase attempts overseas and to focus the efforts on local solutions.
About a week ago, a German ventilator supplier announced it was canceling its commitment to meet the agreed upon schedule and supply a thousand respirators already ordered and paid for by Israel. Earlier this week, General Electric also announced that it would not be able to meet its commitment to supply a thousand ventilating machines to Israel. At the same time, a local procurement agent in China who was supposed to supply Israel with a thousand machines claimed that his inventory was shipped to a different customer.
"It's a world war out there," a senior medical procurement official at Israel's health ministry told Haaretz. "There's crazy competition to purchase respirators, drugs, medical equipment and protective gear. It's been there from the beginning of the crisis and it's only increased in intensity since."

President Trump suggested Tuesday that he might consider cutting funding for the World Health Organization over its handling of the coronavirus crisis and alleged role in helping China downplay the severity of the outbreak.
"The W.H.O. really blew it. For some reason, funded largely by the United States, yet very China centric. We will be giving that a good look. Fortunately I rejected their advice on keeping our borders open to China early on. Why did they give us such a faulty recommendation?" he tweeted. (Read more)

2. Brazil's Bolsonaro turns to prayer in coronavirus crisis - Reuters
Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, agreeing to a request from evangelical Christians, said on Friday that he was calling for a national day of fasting and prayer this Sunday to "free Brazil from this evil" coronavirus epidemic.
As the death toll mounts in the country, along with criticism of his handling of the public health crisis, Bolsonaro met with Pentecostal evangelical pastors outside his official residence. Evangelicals have been among the right-wing leader's most faithful supporters. "With the pastors and religious leaders we will call for a day of fasting by Brazilians so that Brazil can free itself from this evil as soon as possible," he later said on radio station Jovem Pan.

3. Former CIA Station Chief: DNI Richard Grenell Bringing 'Much Needed Efficiency' to 'Bloated' Intel Community - Breitbart
U.S. Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Richard Grenell is streamlining the "bloated bureaucracy" that is the intelligence community in a bid to make it more efficient in tackling the threats confronting America, a former CIA station chief told Breitbart News on Saturday.
The intelligence community has rallied behind efforts to make the Office of National Intelligence (ODNI) more effective, former Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) station chief Daniel Hoffman noted.
Grenell is reportedly overhauling the ODNI, which is in charge of the U.S. intelligence community. Hoffman pointed out that outside the "bloated" ODNI and its National Counter-Terrorism Center (NCTC) component, the intelligence community does not have enough intelligence officers to do the job of protecting America. 4. Kayleigh McEnany to take over as White House press secretary - The Hill
Kayleigh McEnany is leaving President Trump's reelection campaign to serve as the new White House press secretary, two sources confirmed on Tuesday.
The former Republican National Committee spokeswoman and the current spokeswoman for the Trump campaign will take over for outgoing press secretary Stephanie Grisham.
McEnany, 31, has long been a fierce defender of the president in television interviews and through the campaign. She was a frequent presence on the campaign trail, appearing at Trump rallies and participating in events for the group Women for Trump.(Read more)

5. IHME Model Lowers U.S. Coronavirus Death Projections - Breitbart
On Monday the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) model cited by the White House Coronavirus Task Force lowered its projections of coronavirus deaths in the United States by August 4 to 81,776, down more than ten percent from the 93,765 projected on April 1, as Breitbart News reported on Wednesday.
Notably, the model also lowered projections of the number of states that will not have enough regular or ICU hospital beds to admit all identified coronavirus patients at the peak in their states from 37 in the April 1 projection to 20 in Monday's projections.
Tennessee is one of the states in which IHME lowered projections for deaths and hospital capacity dramatically. (Read more)

6. Trump clashes with reporter from Chinese 'propaganda' outlet at White House press briefing - The Daily Mail
A reporter with a Chinese news outlet has been accused of attending a White House coronavirus press briefing to push propaganda about the communist regime sending aid to the US.
Republicans politicians are claiming a reporter with Hong Kong-based Phoenix TV infiltrated President Trump's briefing on Monday in order to promote Beijing's spin on the virus.
Footage from the coronavirus task force press conference showed the woman ask Trump if he was 'co-operating with China' after she listed medical supplies the country had sent to the US.
The president responded by asking: 'Who are you working for, China? Do you work for China? Or are you with a newspaper? Who are you with?' The reporter replied that she works for Phoenix TV, a Chinese media company based in Hong Kong sympathetic to Beijing and with strong ties to the ruling Communist Party. (Read more)

Father, it is troubling to know that a reporter representing China is sitting in the White House briefing room on a regular basis. We pray for your presence to be over our President and Vice President and let them stand strong in Your authority and revelation.

7. Trump removes watchdog tapped for virus rescue oversight - The Hill
President Donald Trump has removed the inspector general who was tapped to chair a special oversight board of the $2.2 trillion economic package intended to help businesses and individuals affected by the coronavirus, officials said Tuesday.
Glenn Fine, the acting Defense Department inspector general and a veteran watchdog, had been selected by peers last month for the position. Now it's unclear who will oversee the rescue law. The move threatens to upend the rigorous oversight that Democrats in Congress had demanded of the huge sums of money being pumped into the American economy because of the virus. (Read more)

8. Pelosi full steam ahead on crafting 4th coronavirus relief package - The Hill
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is forging ahead on her plans to develop another coronavirus-related relief package to address the ongoing public health crisis, including more direct payments to Americans and increased unemployment benefits.
Pelosi, in a letter addressed to House members, said she hopes to craft the legislation and bring it to the House floor for a vote later this month.
Both chambers of Congress are slated to return to the nation's capital on April 20, but it's largely dependent on the nation's stability as the deadly novel virus continues to wreak havoc across the country. (Read more)

9. Schiff plans to investigate Trump firing intel watchdog - The Hill
Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, is warning his panel will "undertake additional oversight" of recent changes to the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, including President Trump firing the inspector general of the intelligence community.
Schiff raised several issues related to management of the office in a letter sent Tuesday to Richard Grenell, the acting director of national intelligence.
In the letter, Schiff questions the firing of Michael Atkinson. Atkinson, in his position as inspector general, turned over a whistleblower complaint to Congress that led to impeachment hearings into Trump. Trump has railed against Atkinson, saying he "did a terrible job." (Read more)

10. Boris Johnson in 'stable' condition after night in intensive care - The Hill
U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson is "in good spirits" and was stable overnight after being moved to intensive care Monday with coronavirus, the BBC reported.
In a Tuesday statement, a Downing Street spokesperson said, "The prime minister has been stable overnight and remains in good spirits. He is receiving standard oxygen treatment and is breathing without any other assistance." "He has not required mechanical ventilation or noninvasive respiratory support," the spokesperson continued, the BBC reported.
Johnson, 55, was hospitalized Sunday with "persistent symptoms" of the virus, before being moved to intensive care Monday. (Read more)

Part of the problem or part of the solution
In watching and reading about the daily Presidential Coronavirus Task Force briefings from the White House, there is often two differing viewpoints-what I actually saw during the press conference and what was reported. The two are not the same. The view of the reporters is so jaundiced against the President and his team, that they are not even able to get the facts right. Their opinion on the commentary has become in their eyes, the facts. They continue poking holes, distributing fake news, and guiding the people of this country toward fear and hopelessness. The leadership of the Democratic Party do the same. Hollywood "stars" also say horrible things. They all should be ashamed.
How many times have you read about some actor or actress saying that Trump is a murderer because of his response on COVID-19? Reporters know that Trump is not a murderer. He is not premeditatedly killing American citizens. So the story has no credibility, yet they write it anyway. Democrats have said Trump's response was slow and resulted in many deaths. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) likened Trump to Nero watching Rome burn. She said that "As the President fiddles, people are dying." When Trump first banned travel from China in January, however, Democratic presidential candidates Joe Biden attacked Trump's "record of hysteria, xenophobia and fear mongering," and Bernie Sanders said he wouldn't shut down the borders and condemned the President's xenophobia. Other Democrats joined in their criticism.
At the same time, the mainstream media, including the Washington Post, the New York Times, Vox and others said that Trump's travel ban would not work, was emotional and political, and began printing stories sympathetic to China. Then they criticized Trump for not closing down travel sooner. Another example is the Health and Human Services (HHS) Inspector General issuing a report that there was a shortage of COVID-19 tests. The HHS Secretary said this was the first he had heard of it when asked by a reporter. President Trump questioned the reporters who were circulating the story and found out that the Inspector General that issued the false report was appointed by the immediate past president. The reporters knew the source was not credible and was following a political agenda, but reported the story anyway.
Either you are part of the problem or part of the solution. Hollywood, the news media, or the Democratic Party leadership has not made one suggestion of how Trump and his team could do a better job. Just that he is a murderer, xenophobe and worse. Calling people names, writing stories with no credible sources, saying hateful things, stirring hopelessness and fear, does not help us solve this pandemic. We need to be working together as one body, as described in 1 Corinthians. Verse 25 says, "There should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another." This is exhorting believers in Christ, but it is also how we as Americans should behave during this time of crisis. This holds for all of us. We are either part of the problem or part of the solution.

It has legislated evil and punished those, who would not comply. But in this hour, this enemy has its head up in a level of arrogance that I will no longer tolerate.
Behold, My Enemy has said, 'I shall be sovereign over all the earth, and no one can thwart me. In my hand is the power of life and death. I declare what is my truth and no one can refute it. My servants, who do my bidding, are untouchable by the righteous. Their places are secure in me and in my power, for I have accepted their sacrifices of allegiance. The blood that has been poured out, to give dominion to my own, cannot be challenged, for in this hour the world is mine. It has fallen into my hands by the choice of human will.'
But behold, I say to you, Beloved, this is not so! For My power and authority remain, and will not be thwarted nor supplanted by the boasting or claims of the Evil One. I have not surrendered My human creation nor the physical world. Only, My ire increases with every act and word of his arrogant decrees. In this hour I am calling forth My armies upon the earth and in the heavens. My righteous children are hearing My call and they are uniting even now. A great sorting has come upon the earth, and it has begun within My own house. WHO will stand with MY WORD? Who will recognize the sound of My voice over the sound of the Enemy and of the flesh? I have called forth My army to arise and to engage against this great wickedness that continually seeks to pervert My way, will, and word. I will prove, WHO IS SOVEREIGN! I will demonstrate WHOSE WORD IS THE LAW! I will certify, who is My own . . . My elect . . . My righteous ones.

> > > This morning after the downloading I received from the Holy Spirit, the strategy began to be seen in its fullness. Not only are we to do this, but people all across this country, and even across the world are to join in sounding the shofar wherever they are . . . at the time that matches 7:00 PM this Wednesday in Jerusalem. For those, who do not have shofars, they can go to sites on the internet that have the blowing of the shofar recorded (I will give you one below).
At that time . . . whether they are in the home, at work, or wherever . . . they can go to the site, hit play, and hold up the phone to send forth the sound. The Lord has said He will link every shofar blast in every location sounding it, and send His Passover fire to the spot where it is being blown or broadcast. From there, it will spread. People can gather (if allowable . . . and if 6 feet of social distance is maintained) for this event outside hospitals in their area . . . in areas near seats of government, media, justice, commerce, faith, etc.
Wherever evil has held power and expressed authority, we can take a stand. For those, who are unfamiliar with prophetic acts, this may sound like total nonsense. However, I can assure you, if this is done in obedience and in faith, the Lord will act. We cannot know fully what the fruit will be, how it will manifest, or exactly when we will see it upon the earth. However, after receiving the rhema word that the Lord gave me this morning, I am completely confident that this is not a random, inconsequential thing. There will be a change in the spiritual climate. He is asking us to participate in His Kingdom strategies. We are blessed!!

When the devil tempted Jesus, it was a real temptation. He tempted Him to turn stones into bread (see Matthew 4:1-4). What a temptation that must have been! Jesus was hungry; He had the power to turn those stones into bread. But there was another reason that made the temptation so powerful: the great need of the human race. Think of the starving people He could have fed!
Jesus could have done it, but He was here to take people to Heaven, to give them eternal life. And He could do that only by going to the cross and taking their judgment and their Hell. From the cross He was saying, "I love you. I love you, whoever you are." He would have died on that cross if you had been the only person in the whole world. He loves you. You are important to Him.
Outside the influence of the cross there is bitterness, intolerance, ill will, prejudice, hatred, crime, and war. That is why-if the world does not turn to Christ, and Him crucified and raised from the dead-we could see the judgment of God falling upon our world.
Have you met Christ at the foot of the cross, turned from your sins, and put your life completely under His control?

Earth is approaching a stream of debris from Comet Thatcher (C/1861 G1), source of the annual Lyrid meteor shower. If forecasters are correct, the Lyrids will peak on the night of April 21-22 with as many as 15 meteors per hour. These meteors are best seen from the northern hemisphere where the radiant is high in the sky before dawn.

[Alveda King's Blog] On Palm Sunday 2020 I released A PARABLE OF THE LITTLE TREE. This "clarion call" message about unity using palm trees in allegory seems so appropriate for a Palm Sunday message. We must pray for God to help us.
Meanwhile, we in our nation and the world are "up in arms" about COVID-19; there is much mischief afoot.

Our Mission Statement
Capitol Hill Prayer Partners (CHPP) is a ministry which is positioned on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., helping members of the Body of Christ to "pray for those in authority over us" in our federal government. Our primary purpose is to offer intercession on site for the members of Congress and their staffs each day that the Senate and the House of Representatives are in session; and our chief prayer focus is that "God's will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." [Matthew 6:10].
Because Jesus Christ has shed His blood for all, we, too, pray for ALL, in a nonpartisan manner. Also, because the scriptures indicate that "the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 4:17), we are confident that fervent prayer, offered in the halls of the highest chambers of government in our land, can avail much for America. Capitol Hill Prayer Partners welcomes those who feel called to join us, engaging in this strategic work of intercession for our nation: "For there is no power but of God; the powers that be are ordained of God." [Romans 13:1]

We are reading through the whole Word, from Genesis to Revelation, and beginning again in Genesis when finished. [As of this writing, over the past three years, we have now "read through" the entire Word of God sixty-five times, nonstop. Hallelujah!]
