1. Coalition deal between Likud and Blue and White 'imminent' - Jerusalem Post

Blue and White sources have stated that a coalition deal with the Likud is now imminent and could be settled late Saturday night.

The Jerusalem Post understands that the Likud and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have backed down on demands for legislation to circumvent any High Court ruling preventing him from serving as prime minister or deputy prime minister during the period of the unity government.

And Channel 12 News reported that Blue and White leader Benny Gantz told associates that a significant breakthrough had recently been made in the coalition negotiations and that an agreement could be signed in the next 24 hours.

2. Up-and-down unity talks again hit impasse - World Israel News

From collapse to hope to collapse and back again, unity talks were reported to be close to a breakthrough on Sunday morning. By afternoon, those hopes were dashed.

On Sunday morning, Blue and White party officials told Israel Hayom that there had been "significant progress" in talks, with the breakthrough coming on Friday. They even suggested everything would be set for an agreement by Monday.

That hopefulness vanished by afternoon when party officials told the paper that talks had bogged down. "Today is the fateful day for negotiations. If by night there isn't a solution to the problem on the table - it'll be much more difficult to arrive at an agreement going forward," the officials said.

3. Bennett to Netanyahu: 'You promised Yamina wouldn't suffer in unity negotiations' - Israel National News

Defense Minister Naftali Bennett (Yamina) protested Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's treatment of his party, demanding at least three portfolios in the expected unity government.

An Israel Hayom jounralist reported that earlier this week, Netanyahu called all the party chairmen to update them on the negotiations with the Blue and White party, but the conversation he had with Bennett was especially difficult.

"When you needed the [right-wing] bloc whole and united, you promised me that Yamina would not be harmed by the results of the elections and the negotiations for unity," Bennett told Netanyahu, who responded by saying that a party with six seats could not expect to receive three ministries or even two in a unity government.

"When we could have switched sides, our six seats were worth a lot more in your eyes," Bennett emphasized.

4. Blue and White: Additional elections if Supreme Court rules against Netanyahu- Israel National News

Kipa Hebrew News reported that Blue and White agreed that if the Supreme Court prohibits Netanyahu from serving as prime minister due to his facing trial for criminal charges, they would endorse a fourth round of elections and not the candidacy of another MK from the Likud for forming a government. If the Supreme Court prevents Netanyahu from filling the post of Deputy Prime Minister, however, sources in Blue and White said they are opposed to new elections.

However, sources in the party clarified that if a unity government is formed, and, by the time the Netanyahu's rotation is up, the Supreme Court dismisses him from the position of Deputy Prime Minister, they would oppose new elections and chairman of the list, Benny Gantz, would step into Netanyahu's role.

If Netanyahu and Gantz succeed in forming a Netanyahu-led government, the Likud will renew efforts to advance a limited law allowing the Knesset to overrule Supreme Court rulings. So far, sources in Blue and White have refused any version of legislature bypassing the Court or undermining its authority.

5. IDF Spots Breaches in Security Fence on Israel-Lebanon Border - Jewish Press

The Israel Defense Forces discovered several breaches in the security fence on the northern border with Lebanon Friday evening, the IDF Spokesperson said Saturday night.

The event follows an earlier incident in which Israel's military forces were called to secure the area, firing flares in order to light up the area.

The tears in the fence have since been repaired.

9. Health, Defense Officials Warn Ramadan Celebrations May Spread Virus - BFP

Senior Health and Defense officials showed concern that the upcoming Ramadan [one of the Five Pillars of Islam when stringent disciplines are observed] celebrations could lead to an increased spread of coronavirus among Israel's Muslim communities.

The issue was brought before the National Security Council last week, with the discussion focusing on the traditional festival set to start on April 23, which could pose a potential threat to the ongoing efforts tiring the Israeli populace.

The traditions of late-night family dinners, the mass acquisition of bread and sweets before sunset and festivities raise concern that the Muslim holiday could lead to mass gatherings and an increased spread of the virus, even if mosques remain closed.

Much like their Jewish compatriots, who were instructed to remain home during the Passover seder [ritual meal], the Health Ministry is set to issue similar directives urging Muslims nationwide to celebrate Ramadan with household members only. (Read more)

- Thank the Lord for the example that the Jewish people set by adhering to difficult restrictions during Passover. Pray that the Arab community will follow that example by faithfully adhering to similar restrictions during Ramadan. Ask the Lord again for deliverance from the pandemic that is affecting every demographic in Israel. Scripture

Therefore be careful to observe them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the peoples who will hear all these statues, and say, "Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people." (Deuteronomy 4:6)

1. US Officials Reveal Major Investigation into Whether Outbreak Began at Wuhan Lab: Report - Western Journalism

A new report says U.S. government officials have launched a full investigation into whether the COVID-19 virus escaped from a testing lab in the Chinese city of Wuhan. Intelligence sources told Fox News a major investigation is underway into a credible theory that the novel coronavirus first began at a lab in the capital city of Hubei province.

According to Fox News, the U.S. is gathering more intelligence and is creating a timeline based on known facts about the initial spread of the virus in order to create "an accurate picture of what happened."

"Once that investigation is complete - something that is expected to happen in the near-term - the findings will be presented to the Trump administration. At that point White House policymakers and President Trump will use the findings to determine how to hold the country accountable for the pandemic," Fox reported.

Officials ultimately plan to use facts from the investigation in order to determine how China should be held accountable for unleashing a deadly pandemic. (Read more)

- Father in heaven, we ask You to expose the source of this virus, which has now gone into every country on earth, with the intent to kill as many as possible. You are God and all things are possible with You. We pray in the Name of Jesus, amen.

"For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing whether it be good or whether it be evil." (Ecclesiastes 12:14)

2. Dr. Fauci Says Sporting Events Could Resume Soon, But No Fans Allowed - The Western Journal

For sports fanatics dying to see some competition, there may be some good news on the horizon. According to Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, sporting events could resume within a couple of months.

However, just like an outfielder chasing down a potential home run, there is one agonizing catch: The sports world would likely have to march forward with no fans in attendance, at least for the time being. "Nobody comes to the stadium. Put them in big hotels wherever you want to play, keep them very well surveiled," Fauci said in an interview Wednesday on the Snapchat show "Good Luck America."

"Have them tested, like, every week. Make sure they don't wind up infecting each other or their family and just let them play the season out," he told host Peter Hamby. "I mean, people say, 'Well, you can't play without spectators.' Well, I think you'd probably get enough buy-in from people who are dying to see a baseball game." (Read more)

- Father, we pray that the liquid in the syringe is pure. We pray protection by the Blood of Jesus upon every player on the field and their lives be saved from the powers of darkness. We pray in the Name of Jesus.

3. DoD to extend stop movement order through June 30 - Federal News Network

The Pentagon said on Saturday that it planned to extend many of the sweeping travel restrictions that are now in place for its personnel until June 30 - more than a month and a half beyond their current expiration date. Defense Secretary Mark Esper will sign the latest version of the stop movement order on Monday, said Matthew Donovan, the undersecretary of Defense for personnel and readiness. Although the new restrictions will be longer in duration, he said they would take a more "liberal" approach to allowing for exceptions.

In particular, the latest rules will begin allowing for at least some overseas military deployments and redeployments - activities which have been mostly on hold since the current travel policy went into place on March 25.

"You'll see that it's little bit looser, because we know more about COVID-19 and we can get projections on potential hotspots and we have more information from nations where troops would be moving to," Donovan told reporters on a conference call. "It will also be more liberal in the waivers that will be granted, because it's such a situation-by-situation occurrence that we have to examine the whole circuitous line of transportation and make sure that we can maintain the secretary's priorities throughout the entire situation."

As of now, Donovan said the military services are moving personnel around the world at about 10% of their normal rate. For now, it is unclear how much that might increase under the new orders Esper will sign Monday. (Read more)

- Father in heaven, we lean upon Your guidance and protection regarding our servicemen who will be deployed to other locations worldwide. Otherwise, this would be a suicide mission. We trust You, Lord, to oversee all our military and put a covering of protection around all of them. We pray in the Name of Jesus.

"For the eyes of the Lord run to fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward Him." (2 Chronicles 16:9)

4. Trump Sends Funds Meant for Pro-Abortion WHO to Samaritan's Purse, Red Cross to Fight Coronavirus - LIFENEWS

Earlier this week, President Donald Trump halted federal taxpayer funding for the WHO, the international agency that has botched its response to the coronavirus.

WHO has been accused of lying to the world about the coronavirus, defending Chinese propaganda about its origins, and it has come under fire for saying killing babies in abortions is somehow an essential procedure as the world deals with the coronavirus pandemic.

Trump announced Tuesday that the U.S. will halt monetary contributions to the World Health Organization while the administration reviews the mistakes it made managing the pandemic.

Now, president Trump has announced where the funds will be going instead - to two organizations fighting the coronavirus: Samaritan's Purse and the Red Cross. . . . The funding battle is likely not over, as Democrats will likely challenge Trump and attempt to stick WHO funding in future spending bills.

- Father in heaven, we pray Your power and wisdom be upon President Trump as he blocks the funds of WHO and other similar organizations. We bless the President for supporting Samaritan's Purse and the Red Cross who use these funds for their intended purpose. Bless God that You are all-wise; please lead Trump in a prosperous and wise path. In the Name of Jesus we pray.

"Who is wise, and he shall understand these things? prudent, and he shall know them? for the ways of the Lord are right, and the just shall walk in them: but the transgressors shall fall therein." (Hosea 14:9)

5. Coronavirus screening website promised by Trump expands to more cities - Washington Examiner

A website promised by President Trump to help facilitate coronavirus testing has expanded to several cities in Pennsylvania, New York, and New Jersey.

Trump said more than a month ago that the site, created by Google's sister company Verily Life Sciences, would be a national resource. The website "is going to be very quickly done, unlike websites of the past, to determine whether a test is warranted and to facilitate testing at a nearby convenient location," the president announced.

Despite the promise, the site made a limited debut in only two California counties a couple of days later, covering just eight cities. The sites in California have been run in conjunction with the state's health department. It has since expanded to Rite Aid locations in Philadelphia, Harrisburg, Monroeville, and York, Pennsylvania.

"All Rite Aid drive-up COVID-19 testing locations will utilize self-swab nasal tests overseen by Rite Aid pharmacists," Rite Aid said in a news release. Valley Stream, New York, and Waldwick, New Jersey, will also have testing locations. (Read more)

- Father God, we pray that these testing locations for the virus will be honest and trustworthy avenues. And Jesus, we pray for your overshadowing hand of compassion be upon all who are tested and that they will recover. In the Name of Jesus we pray.

"And wheresoever Jesus entered, into villages, or cities, or country, they laid the sick in the streets, and besought Him that they might touch if it were but the border of His garment: and as many as touched Him were made whole." (Mark 6:56)

6. 'Experience of a lifetime': Truck driver praises Trump for saluting him and his profession at White House - Washington Examiner

A truck driver who met with President Trump at the White House described the interaction as the "experience of a lifetime." "Getting the honor and respect that I think the 3.5 million truck drivers deserve was just heartwarming because it was not personally me, it's all of us doing our jobs," Stephen Richardson told Fox & Friends. "It was definitely an experience of a lifetime."

Richardson attended a White House event praising the work truckers have done during the pandemic.

"Thank God for truckers," Trump said. "At a time of widespread shutdowns, truck drivers form the lifeblood of our economy, and the absolute lifeblood. For days and sometimes weeks on end, truck drivers leave their homes and deliver supplies that American families need and count on during this national crisis, and at all other times, they're always there. In the war against the virus, American truckers are the foot soldiers who are really carrying us to victory," he continued. "They are. They've done an incredible job. We've had no problems. It's been just, it's been just great, and we want to thank you very much."

Truck drivers in the United States have been under increased strain during the pandemic but have continued to make deliveries, earning the praise of many people, including the president. "Major national crises tend to expose underlying truths about society that otherwise go unnoticed during life's regular routines," the American Trucking Association said in a statement in mid-March. "They reveal the individuals among us who are truly essential to upholding the high standard of living we've collectively come to expect. They remind us of America's unsung heroes." (Read more)

- Father, we thank You and give thanks for all the truck drivers who have untiringly continued carrying much-needed supplies to their destinations, which are meeting the needs of the people. We thank You for each one. In Jesus' great Name we pray.

"For bodily exercise profits little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is and that which is to come." (I Timothy 4:8)

7. Trump slams Pelosi, Schumer over lack of small business relief amid coronavirus - Fox News

President Trump blasted House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer for failing to come to an agreement on additional funding for small businesses amid the coronavirus crisis and urged congressional Democrats to return to Washington, D.C. from recess. "Today people started losing their jobs because of Crazy Nancy Pelosi, Cryin' Chuck Schumer, and the Radical Left, Do Nothing Democrats, who should immediately come back to Washington and approve legislation to help families in America. End your ENDLESS VACATION!" Trump tweeted Friday morning.

The president's tweet comes as the Payment Protection Program, which helps businesses with under 500 employees obtain loans that can cover eight weeks of their payroll, benefits, rent and other expenses, ran out of funding. The program was created as part of the $2.2 trillion CARES Act that passed last month, and converts the small business loans to grants and would be fully forgiven if 75 percent of the loan is used to keep employees on the payroll.

The Trump administration on Thursday said that they cannot accept any more applications without congressionally authorized funding. All the $350 billion for the original PPP program under the CARES Act has been allocated through more than 1.6 million approved loans. "The SBA is currently unable to accept new applications for the Paycheck Protection Program based on available appropriations funding," the Small Business Administration said Thursday. "Similarly, we are unable to enroll new PPP lenders at this time."

Republicans and the Trump administration want Democrats to pass a quick, one-page $250 billion infusion of cash to the program that gives struggling small businesses up to $10 million in forgivable loans to make their payrolls. The GOP effort already failed in the Senate last week as Pelosi and Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer have demanded an additional $250 million that would help hospitals and state and local governments and contain changes to the small business relief program to help disadvantaged and minority-owned businesses. (Read more)

- Almighty God, we ask You to move upon Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer to assume their political roles and return to Washington, DC to take emergency steps to agree on additional funding for small businesses to help their families. Lord, bless President Trump who stands solidly behind the American people. We pray in the Name of Jesus.

"I charge you before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the elect angels, that you observe these things without preferring one before another, doing nothing by partiality." (I Timothy 5:21)

8. Which US states are ready for phase 1 of reopening after coronavirus lockdown? - Fox News

Several states have started to outline how they will reopen after a month of lockdown measures designed to combat the coronavirus pandemic. While some states have yet to see their peak, others have managed to flatten the curve, with Gov. Andrew Cuomo saying that "the worst is over" for New York state - the epicenter of the pandemic in America.

President Trump announced a plan on April 16 to reopen the country in three phases, based on the severity of the outbreak in each state or region. "We are not opening all at once, but one careful step at a time," Trump said, adding that the guidelines were "based on hard verifiable data."

Initial phases call for states to maintain many of the current measures such as social distancing, avoiding gatherings of more than 10 people and avoiding unnecessary travel. Subsequent phases will ease each of these measures. Ultimately, the governor of each state will decide when is best to reopen. As such, here are the states that have already confirmed that they plan to reopen, and when they plan to do so.

Note: This list includes only those states that have so far indicated they are pushing forward with plans to begin reopening. (Read more)

- Almighty God, we trust You to guide each and every state to reopen their states from the lockdown measures so that they can reestablish the freedom that Americans have always had. We pray that all Americans will pray to God, repent of sin, and bow their knees to Him who is the giver of all life and healing. In the Name of Jesus we pray.

"Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty."
(2 Corinthians 3:17)

9. Trudeau says US-Canada border will remain closed for weeks - New York Post

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says his country's border with the US would not fully reopen for at least several weeks. The border - the world's longest international frontier at 5,500 miles - was shut to all non-essential travelers on both sides on March 21 in response to the coronavirus crisis, though cross-border trade continued.

"We are having ongoing discussions on border issues, on supply chains with the United States all the time," Trudeau told reporters at a briefing Thursday, Agence France-Presse reported. But "the reality is that it will still be many weeks" before "we can talk about relaxing the restrictions on our borders," he said. We "must protect our citizens, as every country does," Trudeau added. "Most countries in the world have restricted travel, and Canada and the United States are no exception."

Trudeau's deputy and point person on US relations, Chrystia Freeland, added that Ottawa will only ease border restrictions "when it is not a risk to the health and safety of Canadians."

Canada's population is about nine times smaller than that of the United States. So far, the US has recorded more than 33,000 coronavirus deaths, while Canada's death toll is more than 1,600. But the two Canadian provinces most affected, Quebec and Ontario, border New York state - the epicenter of the US outbreak. (Read more)

- Father God, we pray that Prime MinisterTrudeau will use wisdom in enforcing this closed border rule. As life still exists, there are some actions that need to be done so the business of our nations can continue. Lord, guide these decisions made by the leaders. We ask in the Name of Jesus.

"Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvelous work among this people, even a marvelous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid." (Isaiah 29:14)

10. Voting by mail in the spotlight as U.S. Congress debates how to secure November elections - Reuters

Congress is scrambling for ways to safeguard the Nov. 3 U.S. elections amid the coronavirus pandemic, with a partisan fight shaping up over a Democratic proposal to require states to offer the option of voting by mail. President Donald Trump, seeking re-election this year, and some of his fellow Republicans have voiced opposition to expanded voting by mail, citing concern over ballot fraud - a worry that Democrats dispute.

Democrats have said election procedures will need to change this year because many voters will be reluctant to stand in long lines or enter crowded polling sites for fear of infection. In recent years, Democrats also have accused Republicans of pursuing policies in some states to make voting more difficult in a bid to disenfranchise Democratic-leaning voters. Congressional Democrats are pushing for additional funding for election aid to states in the next round of coronavirus-response legislation expected to be crafted by lawmakers in the coming weeks.

Democrats control the House of Representatives while Republicans control the Senate. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has proposed seeking $2 billion to $4 billion in fresh election-related aid to states. Republicans have said they are open to considering some additional emergency funding if the $400 million in such aid approved in legislation passed on March 27 proves inadequate. The focus of Democrats is on providing money so states can establish or expand existing "vote-by-mail" options under legislation requiring them to offer the option of mail-in ballots as an alternative to voting in person.

Wisconsin's April 7 Democratic presidential primary was marred by numerous polling sites being closed due to staffing shortages caused by the pandemic while long lines of voters dressed in makeshift protective gear waited for hours to cast ballots. The state carried out the election after Republican legislators successfully sued to block the Democratic governor's plan to postpone the voting for public health reasons. (Read more)

- Almighty God, oversee and guide all decisions made regarding the voting of the 2020 presidential elections. Put the Blood of Jesus over all this and make it airtight from mistakes or man-made interference. God, block the Democrats from injecting any devious way to sway the votes their way. Father, we bind and block by God's power any ballot fraud, additional Democratic financial aid, postponed Democratic voting, because Father God this is a monumental year of voting for the President of the United States. Block totally any and all insidious ideas by the Democrats to meddle with the outcome of this election. We make the declaration that it will be God's will that will prevail over all evil influences in this Presidential election. We pray in the Name of Jesus, amen!

"Therefore, behold I, God, will proceed to do a marvelous work among this people, even a marvelous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid." (Isaiah 29:14)

COVID-19-A Prophetic fire drill

here is a lot of speculation about the meaning of the COVID-19 event. Some see it the hand of God judging America for all its sins. Others see it as a prophetic end time event and are trying to justify that the world is in its final days. First and foremost, America is not the center of Biblical prophecy. The Bible is a Middle Eastern book, written from the geographic perspective of the table of nations found in Genesis 10. The Bible relates how Christ was sent for the salvation of the world through the Hebrew people, how gentiles were grafted in to the salvation plan by Christ's death and resurrection, and how He will return to and rule from Israel. Finding prophetic meaning in COVID-19 requires a look well beyond America.

Matthew 24 speaks of wars, earthquakes, pestilences and famine as precursors to the "beginning of sorrows." There have been events such as COVID-19 in the past. In 2005, I documented in my book "Warshod" that in the previous 100 years, small pox killed 300 million people, and influenza millions. In 1918, for example, a worldwide flu epidemic attacked about 20% of the global population, leaving some 50 million dead, 675,000 deaths in the US. Do you not think that those who were alive then believed the end times were upon them? In a 14-year period from 1991-2005, earthquake frequency had increased 88%, and in the 1900s, 165 wars and tyrannies contributed to 180 million deaths-100 million attributed to communism. This was a 125% increase in war-related deaths over the previous century. Famine follows war.

Many have tried to make the case that China's coronavirus is one of the bowl judgments in Revelation. It is not. Read your Bible. The bowl judgments come AFTER the beast (antichrist) has taken control in the last 3 ½ years of Jacobs Troubles, commonly referred to as the Tribulation. We have not seen such a figure as yet. We can, however, through this virus example, see how the entire world can be impacted by a single event and how a leader might arise. Our response-First, as Christ said, do not be deceived. Second, this is an opportunity, not to place blame and be angry, but to show the love of Christ to others. Bond together. Help one another. Pray for one another. Have empathy.

This COVID-19 is a type and shadow of things to come, a prophetic fire drill if you will. It is showing us just how fast our freedom can be shackled. It demonstrates how quickly the world can be locked down in response to a crisis. As we look at this prophetically, watch carefully for leaders arising out of the Middle East, especially from Turkey and Iran. Study Daniel 8, Ezekiel 38-39, and Matthew 24. Don't get caught up in the wild-eyed claims and conspiracy theories-they are only there to deceive. Be wise. Take care. Show the love of Christ as your testimony. Remember, you are still here and you will be until the Lord decides to remove you. As Christ said in Matthew 24:13, "But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved." You have been given a spirit of power, love and a sound mind. Do not fear.

A Special Observance of the Jewish Holocaust Memorial Day: Yom haShoah

STOP the Virus of Antisemitism!
International Online Conference
Yom haShoah,
April 21, 2020

Throughout history, times of pandemics and epidemics in history have always been times when Antisemitism spread like a virus. We see how in conspiracy theories, Israel and Jews are associated with the spread of the corona virus.

At the international Holocaust conference in Yad Vashem in January this year, some 55 heads of state from around the world committed themselves to actively combating Antisemitism in their countries. At a time of global corona crisis, we cannot sit by and wait for this to happen.

On the occasion of the Jewish Holocaust Memorial Day Yom haShoah, the March of Life Movement is holding an international online conference. Even if marches cannot take place due to the worldwide restrictions, we raise our voice from 25 nations in memory of the Shoah, for reconciliation and to set a sign for Israel and against Antisemitism:

In this time of the worldwide corona crisis we stand together, and together we declare: "Stop the Virus of Antisemitism!" To be active from home means to do the right thing to heal the nation! Tikkun Olam!

CDC Chief Says 20 US States May Be Able to Re-Open Within 14 Days

With the nation nearing a long-awaited peak in the coronavirus pandemic, U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention director Dr. Robert Redfield said Wednesday that a number of the more mildly affected states may be in a good position to re-open come months' end.

According to Reuters, Redfield told the hosts of ABC's "Good Morning America" that major regional differences in coronavirus transmission have been recorded, leading him to believe federal officials could be working as early as May 1 to advise executive branch leadership in nearly 20 states on their efforts to relax economically taxing social distancing guidelines.

Which states will truly be prepared to take such steps by that soft deadline remain unknown. (The Western Journal) Read more.

- Father, we thank You for this good report. We pray wisdom and direction on opening up these states. We pray a quick recovery to our economy, and a quick recovery for our citizens and their jobs.

"For the Lord your God has blessed you in all the work of your hand. He knows your trudging through this great wilderness. These forty years the Lord your God has been with you; you have lacked nothing." (Deuteronomy 2:7)

A Classic Hymn

Classic Hymns

CROWN HIM WITH MANY CROWNS

"His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns."(Revelation 19:12)

Lyrics

Crown Him with many crowns, The Lamb upon His throne. Hark! How the heav'nly anthem drowns All music but its own. Awake, my soul, and sing Of Him who died for thee, And hail Him as thy matchless king Through all eternity.

Crown Him the virgin's son, The God incarnate born, Whose arm those crimson trophies won Which now His brow adorn; Fruit of the mystic rose, As of that rose the stem; The root whence mercy ever flows, The Babe of Bethlehem.

Crown Him the Son of God, Before the worlds began, And ye who tread where He hath trod, Crown Him the Son of Man; Who every grief hath known That wrings the human breast, And takes and bears them for His own, That all in Him may rest.

Crown Him the Lord of life, Who triumphed o'er the grave, And rose victorious in the strife For those He came to save. His glories now we sing, Who died, and rose on high, Who died eternal life to bring, And lives that death may die.

Crown Him the Lord of peace, Whose power a scepter sways From pole to pole, that wars may cease, And all be prayer and praise. His reign shall know no end, And round His piercèd feet Fair flowers of paradise extend Their fragrance ever sweet.

Crown Him the Lord of love, Behold His hands and side, Those wounds, yet visible above, In beauty glorified. No angel in the sky Can fully bear that sight, But downward bends his burning eye At mysteries so bright.

Crown Him the Lord of Heav'n, Enthroned in worlds above, Crown Him the king to whom is giv'n The wondrous name of Love. Crown Him with many crowns, As thrones before Him fall; Crown Him, ye kings, with many crowns, For He is king of all.

Crown Him the Lord of lords, Who over all doth reign, Who once on earth, the incarnate Word, For ransomed sinners slain, Now lives in realms of light, Where saints with angels sing Their songs before Him day and night, Their God, Redeemer, king.

Crown Him the Lord of years, The Potentate of time, Creator of the rolling spheres, Ineffably sublime. All hail, Redeemer, hail! For Thou has died for me; Thy praise and glory shall not fail Throughout eternity.

Signs and Wonders

Signs and Wonders

Lyrid meteor shower, the best night sky show for months, is active now

Catch a potential shooting star extravaganza. You probably don't have anywhere else to go.

The Lyrid meteor shower officially started up Thursday and will remain active for about 10 days, with the peak viewing night coming late Tuesday into Wednesday morning, according to the Griffith Observatory.

This is a shower perfect for early risers, as the hour or two before dawn is probably the best time to spot the "shooting stars."

The Lyrids are bits of rock and dust left behind by the comet C/1861 G (Thatcher). Each year around this time, the Earth drifts through a cloud of debris from an earlier visit by the comet -- its most recent trip through the inner solar system was in 1861 -- and those particles collide with our upper atmosphere at a speed of about 27 miles (43 kilometers) per second.

If you can find a dark sky during the peak night with minimal light pollution, cloud cover and a clear view, you can expect up to 18 meteors per hour. And with the new moon set for Wednesday, there won't be any moonlight to wash out the meteor-spotting experience.

The Lyrids aren't necessarily the most spectacular meteor shower of the year, but they do come after an entire season without any major showers between January and April. So it's a great opportunity to get outside and just spend some time looking up, especially with most of us spending lots of time indoors during these unprecedented times.

"Compared to other meteor showers, the Lyrids tend to produce bright meteors and an occasional fireball," writes Robert Lunsford of the American Meteor Society.

You should be able to see the Lyrids by just lying back, letting your eyes adjust to the dark and relaxing with the widest view of the sky possible. But if you can identify the constellation Lyra, the harp, the Lyrids appear to radiate out from this point in the sky, so it's worth making sure it's in your field of view.

If you can't wake up before sunrise, it can still be worth looking for meteors at any time after about 10 p.m. local time in the evening. They're less likely to appear higher in the sky and probably fewer will be viewable, but you do have an increased chance of seeing a so-called "Earth-grazer" near the horizon that burns longer and brighter than your average meteor.

I suggest making the effort to get out and see some of these meteors when you can. We can all use a distraction right now and this could be the best meteor-spotting opportunity until November. The big Perseids meteor shower in August is typically the biggest of the year, but in 2020 it will be partly washed out by the moon. (CNet)

Canadian Students Start 'Messages of Hope and Joy' Hotline for Isolated Seniors

(Canada) - [GODTV.com] A group of students in Canada opened a hotline for isolated seniors to call into. They can choose from a number of pre-recorded stories, kind messages, jokes and more.

Bringing Joy to Isolated Seniors

Recreational Leadership Students enrolled with the Calgary Board of Education initiated the Joy4All Project. "During these challenging times and ongoing public health measures, we know that it is especially difficult for seniors and folks experiencing isolation," states their website. "We have created a hotline to bring joy to those in isolation."

The hotline is now open and can be dialed at 1-877-JOY4ALL. The hotline is not just for seniors but can be enjoyed by anyone who needs encouragement.

Teacher Jamie Anderson told the CBC News, "A lot of folks who are in isolation are really missing their families right now. So we're just trying to fill in some of the gaps," she said. "And bring them a little bit of joy and levity during these difficult times."

About CHPP

About Capitol Hill Prayer Partners

Our Mission Statement

Capitol Hill Prayer Partners (CHPP) is a ministry which is positioned on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., helping members of the Body of Christ to "pray for those in authority over us" in our federal government. Our primary purpose is to offer intercession on site for the members of Congress and their staffs each day that the Senate and the House of Representatives are in session; and our chief prayer focus is that "God's will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." [Matthew 6:10].

Because Jesus Christ has shed His blood for all, we, too, pray for ALL, in a nonpartisan manner. Also, because the scriptures indicate that "the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 4:17), we are confident that fervent prayer, offered in the halls of the highest chambers of government in our land, can avail much for America. Capitol Hill Prayer Partners welcomes those who feel called to join us, engaging in this strategic work of intercession for our nation: "For there is no power but of God; the powers that be are ordained of God." [Romans 13:1]

Reading the Bible Together

WELCOME TO OUR BIBLE READATHON!

"For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD as the waters cover the sea." (Habakkuk 2:14)

> > > Reading the Word of God over our nation, six nights per week!! ALL NIGHT LONG!

We are now reading the Word of God every night (except on Sunday mornings) from midnight to 6:00 a.m. EDT. We are reading through the whole Word, from Genesis to Revelation, and beginning again in Genesis when finished. [As of this writing, over the past three years, we have now "read through" the entire Word of God sixty-five times, nonstop. Hallelujah!]

Our numbers of readers continues to grow over time. All are welcome to join, as we use "the weapons of OUR warfare" to confront our enemy and BRING HIM DOWN through the LOVE of our Messiah and, by faith, setting captives free!

Our conference number is: 712-432-0075. The access code is: 206425#.

Please call at any time from midnight to 6:00 a.m. EST!
EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO JOIN OUR "WARFARE IN THE NIGHT", USING THE WEAPON OF HIS WARFARE - THE WORD OF GOD!

"For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart." (Hebrews 4:12)

> > > A footnote: 2020 has been declared "the Year of the Bible."

Hallelujah!!

Please join us as, together, we "soak the very atmosphere of our nation" in the WORD OF GOD!

In closing, let us decree together that . . .

"Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path." (Psalm 119:105)

AMEN!!

Reminder!

Our conference number is: 712-432-0075.
The access code is: 206425#.
