1. Liberman declares himself PM candidate, alleging Netanyahu seeks new election - Times of Israel

Yisrael Beytenu party leader Avigdor Liberman on Tuesday claimed that based on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's press conference the previous evening, Israel was heading to its fourth election in less than two years - and declared himself the only alternative to Netanyahu's leadership.

"I think whoever looks at what has happened thus far knows: The only person capable of competing with Netanyahu is Avigdor Liberman," the right-wing secularist politician told the Ynet news site in an interview.

"I want to create a leadership alternative," Liberman added, claiming that Netanyahu was clearly planning to use the High Court battle over his coalition deal with Blue and White party chief Benny Gantz to cancel the agreement and call a Knesset vote for the summer.

Liberman, whose party won just seven seats in the 120-member Knesset, indicated he wouldn't join forces with Yair Lapid's Yesh Atid-Telem or any other party, arguing that recent mergers "usually did not prove themselves."

2. PM warns of possible 4th elections if High Court intervenes in coalition deal - Times of Israel

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday said that the High Court of Justice should not interfere with his efforts to form a government between his Likud party and Blue and White, and warned that if it did so it would increase the chances of a fourth election.

The High Court on Sunday heard petitions against the tasking of Netanyahu with forming a government, due to his indictment on graft charges, and on Monday considered petitions against the Likud-Blue and White coalition deal, which stipulates profound changes to Israel's constitutional order.

The hearings came with a deadline looming Thursday night for a majority of MKs to recommend one of their number form a government. The alternative is for the Knesset to automatically dissolve, triggering fresh elections.

In a press conference at his office in Jerusalem that was devoted almost entirely to the announcement of eased restrictions on movement in the battle against the coronavirus, Netanyahu said any intervention by the court would go "against the will of the people."

3. Knesset launches into 'marathon' debate on coalition deal - Israel National News

The Knesset on Tuesday launched what it warned would be a "marathon debate" on a proposed coalition government deal, the legality of which has been challenged in the country's Supreme Court. A statement on parliament's website said the bill to pass into law the contentious accord between incumbent Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and his rival-turned-partner Benny Gantz faced about 1,000 requests for amendments from its opponents. The 120-member parliament, which is fiercely divided on the issue, is scheduled to debate until around midnight (2100 GMT), resuming early Wednesday. Voting is currently scheduled to begin at 4 pm (1300 GMT) on Wednesday and to last several hours, but a parliament spokesman said that timetable could change.

4. Israel lifts limits on leaving home, visiting family; malls to open Thursday - Times of Israel

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other top officials on Monday announced a dramatic easing of the social distancing restrictions meant to contain the coronavirus, lifting limitations on movement and economic activity.

"We achieved major success" in containing the virus, Netanyahu said during a press conference at his office in Jerusalem, citing the declining rate of new infections and the fast-growing number of people to recover from COVID-19, while noting that "every death is a great loss . . . it's heartrending."

The premier chalked up Israel's success against the virus to the early steps by the government, including the closure of borders, imposition of social distancing guidelines and digital tracking. Comparing Israel to other similarly sized countries that sustained far larger death tolls, Netanyahu defended the severity of the Jewish state's social distancing measures and said they justified their devastating economic price.

5. Emergency Request Submitted to Allow Jews to Return to the Temple Mount- Breaking Israel News

Attorney Itamar Ben Gvir submitted an emergency request on behalf of Jewish/Israeli Temple Mount activists Arnon Segal and Yehuda Etzion on Monday to Israel's Supreme Court. The request demanded that they, and Jews in general be allowed onto the Temple Mount which was closed due to Health Ministry regulations. The signatories commit to observing all Health Ministry regulations including social distancing. The letter sites the fact that Muslims are allowed onto the open areas of the Temple Mount and therefore, Jews should be granted the same type of access. Additionally, other Jewish holy sites like the Western Wall and Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai's tomb have reopened while the Temple Mount remains closed off. The letter therefore demands an expedited hearing on the matter. It also sites the Attorney General who said that the "Temple Mount is the property of the state of Israel."

6. ALERT! Corona Breakthrough: Israelis Develop Powerful Antibody to Attack Virus - World Israel News

Defense Minister Naftali Bennett visited the Israel Institute for Biological Research (IIBR) in Ness Ziona on Monday, where he was presented with a significant breakthrough in the search for an antidote to the coronavirus.

The researchers have developed an antibody that attacks the virus in a unique way and can even neutralize it in a patient's body.

According to the institute's researchers, led by IIBR Director-General Professor Shmuel Shapira, the antibody's development phase is over.

The institute will continue the patent registration process and in the next phase the researchers will contact international companies who can produce the antibody in commercial quantities.

The antibody has not yet been named.

1. U.S. Senate returns to Washington amid concerns about coronavirus risk - Reuters

The U.S. Senate convened in Washington for the first time in nearly six weeks on Monday, despite concern it might put lawmakers and staff at risk of contracting the coronavirus, but made clear it could take weeks to pass any new relief legislation. Party leaders raised partisan differences as soon as the Senate opened over the next step in how to combat the pandemic, nominations for senior government posts put forward by President Donald Trump and even the decision to return.

"If it's essential that the brave healthcare workers, grocery store workers, truck drivers and many other Americans continue to carefully show up for work, then it's essential that their U.S. senators carefully show up ourselves and support them," Republican Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said.

Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer accused McConnell of calling senators back to pursue a Republican political agenda, not help the country. "As we return to work under the cloud of crisis, Senate Republicans should concentrate on helping us recover from COVID-19, not confirming right-wing judges or protecting big businesses that threaten to put workers at serious risk," Schumer said. (Read more)

- Father, we thank you for the strong leadership being shown by the Senate and most especially by our President and Vice President who have been on duty every single day. This is not a time to run and hide, but to stand up on behalf of our nation to keep moving forward.

- "Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you." (Luke 10:19)

2. Election Fraud Could Get Much Worse in 2020 -Intercessors for America

Between 2012 and 2018, 28.3 million mail-in ballots remain unaccounted for, according to data from the federal Election Assistance Commission. The missing ballots amount to nearly one in five of all absentee ballots and ballots mailed to voters residing in states that do elections exclusively by mail.

States and local authorities simply have no idea what happened to these ballots since they were mailed - and the figure of 28 million missing ballots is likely even higher because some areas in the country, notably Chicago, did not respond to the federal agency's survey questions. This figure does not include ballots that were spoiled, undeliverable, or came back for any reason.

These questions are particularly relevant as the COVID-19 pandemic is forcing states across the country to rapidly expand vote-by-mail operations in an election year. (Read more)

- Father, we stand against election fraud in the name of Jesus. We say, "NO" to corruption, deception and illegal activities that would result in an expansion of evil activities in our nation and government. Holy One, we ask you to be the author and finisher of this nation and its President and elections. Amen.

- "But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, . . . and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, . . ." (1 Corinthians 1:27-28)

3. New Era of Media Censorship with COVID-19? - Intercessors for America

Social media giants like YouTube, Facebook and Twitter promised a new era of unfettered information, bypassing traditional media gatekeepers in the process. People could decide for themselves what mattered most, echoing the country's democratic ideals. Instead, we're now seeing tech platforms following legacy media's lead, sometimes literally, in deciding what information we can and cannot see.

New York Times reporter Davey Alba coaxed YouTube to remove a video by Aytu BioScience regarding a possible UV light treatment for COVID19 because it "backs up Trump's idea . . . that UV rays kill coronavirus." The video site deemed the information "violated its community guidelines."

. . . New and old media, once at odds for audience share and cultural relevance, are frequently acting in unison. And it's happening during a critical election year while a pandemic runs rampant across the globe, the facts of which remain in near constant flux.

The "critical questions" posed by the doctors are ones "we should all be asking, including and especially our policy makers," Carlson said before paraphrasing one doctor's summation.

"Dissent of any kind is no longer tolerated in this country," he said. "Fact-based honesty, which is the soul of science, is under attack, even in hospitals." (Read more)

- Lord, we come to You and ask that Your truth always be on our hearts no matter what this world claims as truth. Father, let your light shine upon injustice and cause it to bow the knee to truth.

- "Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment." (John 7:24)

4. Nobel Prize winner: Data shows lockdowns were 'huge mistake' - WND

After careful study since January, a Nobel Prize-winning scientist believes the spread of the coronavirus follows a similar pattern, regardless of social-distancing practices.

"There is no doubt in my mind, that when we come to look back on this, the damage done by lockdown will exceed any saving of lives by a huge factor," said Michael Levitt, professor of structural biology at the Stanford School of Medicine, in an interview with Freddie Sayers of the U.K. publication UnHerd.

The winner of the 2013 Nobel Prize for Chemistry for "the development of multiscale models for complex chemical systems," he acknowledges he is not an epidemiologist. But Levitt argues that much of modern science is about statistics, and he is an expert in that field. (Read more)

- Father God, we pray for this message to become part of the main-stream talking points. It's so important for everyone to consider the actual data that is being revealed regarding the current state of affairs. We ask you for peace and wisdom to fill hearts and minds.

"Be anxious for nothing, . . . let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6-7)

5. China lied about pandemic so it could hoard medical supplies, says DHS - WND

A report from the Department of Homeland Security says the Chinese government lied to world health agencies about the spread of coronavirus in order to buy time to stock up on medical supplies to deal with the pandemic.

The Homeland Security report assessed that Chinese leaders "intentionally concealed the severity" of the novel coronavirus outbreak, which originated in Wuhan in November 2019, according to the Associated Press, which obtained the report.

Chinese leaders told the World Health Organization as recently as Jan. 14 that there was no evidence of human-to-human transmission of the coronavirus strain. Those assurances led to a false sense that the virus would not transmit easily, and that it could be easily contained. (Read more)

- Lord Jesus, we thank you for the truth rising to the surface. As to the communist leaders in China, we say, "Father forgive them for they know not what they do." Holy Spirit, comfort those who mourn all over the world because of the lies of the wicked leaders. We thank you for the underground Christian Church in China. May their faith and Good News be contagious, and may the Chinese people soon be delivered from the evil regime in their land.

- Not a word from their mouth can be trusted; their heart is filled with malice. Their throat is an open grave; with their tongues they tell lies. (Psalm 5:9)

6. President Trump Seeks to Rip Global Supply Chains From China - Newsmax

The Trump administration is "turbocharging" an initiative to remove global industrial supply chains from China as it weighs new tariffs to punish Beijing for its handling of the coronavirus outbreak, according to officials familiar with U.S. planning.

President Donald Trump, who has stepped up recent attacks on China ahead of the Nov. 3 U.S. presidential election, has long pledged to bring manufacturing back from overseas.

Now, economic destruction and the massive U.S. coronavirus death toll are driving a government-wide push to move U.S. production and supply chain dependency away from China, even if it goes to other more friendly nations instead, current and former senior U.S. administration officials said. (Read more)

- Lord, thank You for the wisdom You continue to impart to President Trump and his staff. We ask that You go before them and show the best "way of escape" from manufacturing abroad, particularly China. May the transition be both quick (Turbocharged!) and smooth as Your plans are put into place.

- Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, "This is the way; walk in it." (Isaiah 30:21)

7. Supreme Court Hears First Arguments via Phone - New York Times

Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. played traffic cop. Justice Clarence Thomas asked his first questions in more than a year. Justice Sonia Sotomayor disappeared for a few moments, apparently having failed to unmute her phone.

On the whole, the Supreme Court's first argument held by telephone went smoothly, with the justices asking short bursts of quick questions, one by one, in order of seniority, as the world, also for the first time, listened in.

The argument on Monday morning began with the traditional chant, "Oyez! Oyez! Oyez!," said by Pamela Talkin, the marshal of the court. But that was almost the only traditional thing about it. (Read more)

- We thank You Father that You have provided the technology for the Supreme Court [& many businesses] to continue operating at this time. Please use it for our good, as citizens can more readily understand the workings of our highest court and hear the questions and arguments of each justice. We earnestly pray that SCOTUS reach decisions that are in agreement with the High Court of Heaven.

- And the Spirit of the Lord will rest on him - the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord. He will delight in obeying the Lord. (Isaiah 11:2-3b)

8. White House looking at winding down coronavirus task force, Pence says - Reuters

The White House is having conversations about when to wind down its coronavirus task force, and is looking at the possibility of starting to move coordination of the U.S. response to federal agencies around the Memorial Day weekend, Vice President Mike Pence said on Tuesday.

Pence said President Donald Trump's administration was starting to look at the Memorial Day window of time at the end of the month to begin transitioning to having agencies manage the coronavirus response in a more traditional manner.

Administration officials are telling task force members and their staff to expect the group to wind down within weeks, according to the New York Times, which first reported bringing the task force to a close. (Read more)

- Lord, we are so very grateful to those on the COVID-19 Task Force and staff for their tireless efforts on behalf of the American people. Thank You for answers to countless prayers for the best possible solutions in a time of great uncertainty and life and death situations. Mightily bless those on the Task Force and their families for the countless sacrifices and risks they have taken on our behalf. Thank You, Abba, for Your provision. Please impart Your wisdom to our President regarding when to dismantle the Force. May any plans made that are not of You, or are inaccurate or harmful be canceled and fall to the ground.

-This is my command: Love one another the way I loved you. This is the very best way to love. Put your life on the line for your friends. (John 15:13)

9. Facebook removes accounts affiliated with QAnon conspiracy theory - The Hill

Facebook announced Tuesday that it has taken down several groups, pages and accounts affiliated with the QAnon conspiracy theory. The social media platform made the announcement as part of its monthly report on coordinated inauthentic behavior on its platform.

The five pages, 20 Facebook accounts and six groups that all originated in the U.S. were discovered as part of the platform's investigation into disinformation ahead of the 2020 election.

The QAnon conspiracy theory is based around the belief that President Trump is actively fighting against enemies in the "deep state" and Democratic establishment running a global child sex trafficking ring. (Read more)

- Dear Lord, we do not take lightly the censorship of this social communication platform to decide FOR us what is worthy and what is not true. Oh, that they would have the mind of the Lord in this matter to be able to go by Biblical standards and not their own made up rules that do not honor You, the Lord of the universe.

- "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report, if there be any virtue, if there be any praise, think on these things." (Philippians 4:8)

10. White House eyes changes to 'sanctuary' cities as part of future stimulus deal - Fox News

The White House is emphasizing that it is considering changes to "sanctuary" cities as part of the next round of stimulus, arguing that funding shouldn't provide relief for what officials described as "bad Democratic governance."

"In terms of the types of things [President Trump] wants to see in this Phase 4, I don't want to get ahead of the negotiations, but I do want to emphasize that he has mentioned sanctuary cities," White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany said recently, referring to the next stage of stimulus. "This is a really important issue that has cost American lives."

Sanctuary jurisdictions, that limit local law enforcement cooperation with federal immigration authorities in an effort to shield illegal immigrants from deportation, have long been in the crosshairs of the Trump administration. (Read more)

- We lift up our President and his staff up to You, Father, to give them wisdom on how to distribute money in the next stimulus bill. We pray that lawlessness will not prosper because of this infusion of money and that all our cities will be begin to be set into Your order.

- "So that men will say 'Surely there is a reward for the righteous; Surely He is God who judges in the earth.'"  (Psalms 58:11)

11. 'Something's gonna happen': Limbaugh predicts Biden will disappear from Democratic ticket - Washington Examiner

Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh predicted that presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden will essentially disappear from November's election ticket.

"Biden is somebody that's not gonna be on the ticket anyway," Limbaugh said on his show Monday. "Something's gonna happen. They can't possibly, they can't possibly go into the race with the guy on the ticket. He couldn't withstand one debate with Trump if there were any debates."

He continued, "I mean, this is my instinctive feeling about it, but the Democrats are all tied in knots and pretzels here because of the #MeToo movement, and it's fascinating to watch the media wring their hands about it." (Read more)

- Father God, we know people can prophesy without intending to do so; therefore, we declare in the name of Jesus that Your choice will win in November no matter who is running against the incumbent. Let Your choice be the winner and may righteousness rule in our land to make this country pleasing to You.

- "When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when a wicked man rules, the people groan."  (Proverbs 29:2)

The flu and the coup

The coup is not just against Donald Trump as president, it is against you. You. Democrat, Republican, Independent, Christian, Jew, Black, White, Latino, anyone who is an American. Those who support the coup, just do not understand that it is also against them. They are the pawns in an attempt to complete the remaking of America into a tyrannical society. They are those who believe the narratives of the left and will do their dirty work at the ballot box or anywhere else. But if they succeed, they will also bear the brunt of the decision, the consequence of giving up freedom for emotional nonsense issues, like Esau giving up his birthright for a bowl of stew. We are in the throes of a coup. Take heed.

When the immediate past president said that his goal was to "remake America," he used words that most people could embrace according to how those words fit their beliefs. He said in his inaugural address on January 20, 2009, "The state of the economy calls for action, bold and swift, and we will act - not only to create new jobs, but to lay a new foundation for growth. We will build the roads and bridges, the electric grids and digital lines that feed our commerce and bind us together. We will restore science to its rightful place, and wield technology's wonders to raise health care's quality and lower its cost. We will harness the sun and the winds and the soil to fuel our cars and run our factories. And we will transform our schools and colleges and universities to meet the demands of a new age. All this we can do. And all this we will do."

Do, he did. Shovel ready jobs were government jobs. Health care became expensive socialist healthcare. His science was driven by leftist political agendas. His transformation of higher education resulted in high-interest government loans that created the largest debt for college graduates in the history of mankind. His, however, was not the beginning nor the end of the American coup. He spied on the American people. When the American people rejected his successor, he authorized spying on a duly elected president to try to end the presidency of Donald Trump before it started. Accusations of Russian collusion; Ukrainian quid pro quo; now murdering Americans with COVID-19. What is next?

Using the COVID-19 "crisis," leftist governors and politicians are tightening the screws on Americans. For example, drones are being used to warn people on "social distancing," temperature taking, and other spying. People are encouraged to turn others in if they are not wearing a mask. It's over the top. These lockdowns are just the preview if we do not demand that after the threat, the intrusive tyrannical measures be outlawed. Conspiracy theories abound, causing fear as the lever against freedom. Isaiah 8:12 says, "Say not, A conspiracy, to all them to whom this people shall say, A conspiracy; neither fear you their threats, nor be afraid." Discernment, clear minds, and reasonable and responsible actions by all of us working together will defeat this flu, but courage, vigilance and aggressive accountability will be needed to defeat the coup.

News From the White House

News from the White House

1. China's Coronavirus Lies Pile Up - Washington Examiner

"A Department of Homeland Security analysis has concluded that China hid the early spread of the coronavirus so it could hoard medical equipment, keeping it from other countries that would have bought it if they had known of the danger that was coming their way from Wuhan," the Washington Examiner editorial board writes.

"Specifically, DHS found, with 95% statistical confidence, that changes to China's personal protective equipment import and export behavior were highly abnormal and not random." (Read more)

2. Mike Pence's Close Relationship with Governors Nationwide Key to Trump's Federal Coronavirus Response - Breitbart

Vice President Mike Pence's close personal relationship with governors of both parties has been a key to the federal response to the coronavirus pandemic, White House advisers told Breitbart News. Pence, a former governor of Indiana before President Donald Trump selected him as his running mate in 2016, has used his experience as a governor to build upon relationships with governors in fighting the coronavirus as the chairman of the White House Coronavirus Task Force. He has regular calls with governors, including one scheduled for Monday afternoon, where he and the president address whatever their needs are-from testing to ventilators to personal protective equipment to anything else that may come up. (Read more)

3. Michael Flynn was railroaded by Comey's FBI - Washington Examiner

The time has come to cease affording the FBI's Crossfire Hurricane team generous benefit of the doubt. A steady stream of unflattering revelations, beginning with a report by the Justice Department's inspector general into egregious FISA abuses last December, has relentlessly pounded the reputation of my former agency. Now, further irrefutable proof emerges that a small cabal of FBI headquarters decision-makers was hellbent on undoing a presidency.

I know it sounds strange to hear me make such an accusation. I'm the guy who long attempted to thread the needle, accounting for honest human frailties, trusting that mistakes should not always be chalked up to malice or sinister intent. Cautious skepticism was a default mindset that served me well across a quarter century as an FBI investigator. That condition failed me here because one thing is clear.

Michael Flynn got railroaded. (Read more)

4. Peter Navarro: Protecting electricity grid - Trump orders this to defend economic, national security - Fox News

The United States' bulk-power system provides the electricity that supports our national defense, vital emergency services, critical infrastructure, economy and way of life. It is increasingly a target of foreign adversaries seeking to commit malicious acts, including malicious cyber activities.

President Trump's latest executive order, "Securing the United States Bulk-Power System," is the fourth executive order he has signed consistent with his strong Buy American principles. It enables the Department of Energy to swiftly take steps to defend the United States bulk-power system against attacks - cyber and otherwise.

The federal government operates a significant portion of America's bulk-power system - about 20 percent. To equip this system, the Department of Energy, Power Marketing Administrations and other federal entities spend millions of dollars a year procuring a wide range of components - from control centers, large generators and generation turbines to high-voltage circuit breakers and substation voltage regulators. (Read more)

5. DOJ sides with church suing Virginia Gov. Northam after pastor who held 16-person service faced fine, jail - Fox News

The Justice Department is siding with a Virginia church suing Gov. Ralph Northam after police threatened a pastor with jail time or a $2,500 fine for violating the state's coronavirus lockdown restrictions by holding a 16-person church service on Palm Sunday.

The DOJ decision came after police in protective garb served a summons to Kevin Wilson, the pastor of Lighthouse Fellowship Church on Chincoteague Island, for holding the service on April 5 with 16 people spaced far apart from one another in a church that could fit 293 people. State officials said Wilson and the church violated the Virginia Constitution by breaking state-imposed social distancing restrictions intended to stop the spread of the coronavirus.

"The Commonwealth of Virginia has offered no good reason for refusing to trust congregants who promise to use care in worship in the same way it trusts accountants, lawyers, and other workers to do the same," the DOJ said in a statement of interest obtained by Fox News on Sunday.

Mat Staver, the chairman and founder of Liberty Counsel, representing the pastor, accused Northam, a Democrat, of discriminating against the church and violating the First Amendment.

"As important as it is that we stay safe during these challenging times, it is also important for states to remember that we do not abandon all of our freedoms in times of emergency," Matthew Schneider, the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Michigan, said in a statement. "Unlawful discrimination against people who exercise their right to religion violates the First Amendment, whether we are in a pandemic or not." (Read more)

A Global Pandemic Prompts a Global Call to Repentance.png

A Successful First Global Day of Repentance May 1 2020

Dear Spiritual Warriors, those seeing the need for repentance,

Praise Report: there may be more that participated without signing up, but 540 brothers and sisters from 24 nations spent some time during that 24 hour window on May 1 confessing their sins, and the sins of their nation, and repenting.

The Bride was that much more cleansed. More Joy and Freedom from old sin strongholds now flows through the Body of Christ. We are that much more ready for His soon return as our Bridegroom. God willing we will do it again soon.

A "Gideon's Army of Repentance" formed!

Please go here to see the map of nations that participated that day. Praise God!

There was no zoom call; no phone call. Each of us, in whatever amount of time we chose, using any one or more of the 24 sins listed under "Events" on the website, spent time alone with the Lord. It was one on ONE. He had to have loved it!

. . . Repentance did flow! The angels carried our broken, contrite hearts and intercession as holy incense before the Lord. Evil was turned away, releasing the holy.

With SHOUTS OF JOY, (Psalm 32:11) the Bride is getting herself ready!

God bless you,

A Classic Hymn

Classic Hymns

GOD WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU

"You may ask Me for anything in My name, and I will do it." (John 14:13)

Lyrics

Be not dismayed whate'er betide,
God will take care of you;
Beneath his wings of love abide,
God will take care of you.

Refrain:

God will take care of you,
Through ev'ry day,
O'er all the way;
He will take care of you,
God will take care of you.

Through days of toil when heart does fail,
God will take care of you;
When dangers fierce your path assail,
God will take care of you. [Refrain]

All you may need he will provide,
God will take care of you;
Nothing you ask will be denied,
God will take care of you. [Refrain]

No matter what may be the test,
God will take care of you;
Lean, weary one, upon his breast,
God will take care of you. [Refrain]

About the Author:
Words: Civilla D. Martin, 1904
Melody: W. Stillman Martin

This song is credited for transforming the life of James Cash Penney, founder of the American department store chain J. C. Penney. He heard it one morning in the chapel of the Kellogg Sanitarium in Battle Creek, Michigan, where he had been hospitalized with a severe case of shingles, as well as exhaustion and depression.

About the Hymn:

I was confined to a sick bed in a Bible school in Lestershire [now Johnson City], New York. My husband was spending several weeks at the school, making a songbook for the president of the school. God Will Take Care of You was written one Sunday afternoon while my husband went to a preaching appointment.

When he returned I gave the words to him. He immediately sat down to his little Bilhorn organ and wrote the music. That evening he and two of the teachers sang the completed song. It was then printed in the songbook he was compiling for the school.

ETA AQUARID METEOR SHOWER--TODAY

Earth is passing through a stream of debris from Halley's Comet, source of the annual eta Aquarid meteor shower. In the southern hemisphere, meteor rates are exceeding 20 per hour--an impressive display considering that it is muted by the glare from the nearly full Moon. Observers can look for more eta Aquarids before sunrise on Wednesday, May 6th; after that, the shower will subside.

A note from the editor:

Friends who are arising early in the morning are reporting that these celestial fireworks are truly outstanding. So . . . get up . . . and enjoy!

"I will show wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below, blood and fire and billows of smoke." (Acts 2:19)

Rome's Parks Buzz as Italy Eases COVID-19 Restrictions,
With Masses Coming Soon

VATICAN CITY (RNS) - After nearly 50 days of a strict lockdown in their homes, Italians flocked to parks and strolled the streets on Monday (May 4), the first day of "Phase Two," when the Italian government loosened some of the restrictions put in place to limit the spread of the coronavirus.

Over the weekend, the Italian Catholic bishops, after a prolonged and sometimes strained debate with local authorities, also secured a deal with the government with the hopes that by the end of May, Italian Catholics will also be able to attend Mass.

"It feels like a dream," a woman told Religion News Service on Monday, her voice muffled by a protective mask as she enjoyed a walk around the grounds of the Villa Pamphili in Rome.

After nearly three months of staying indoors, the cohesion that marked the worst of the pandemic had begun to wear off. As the "curve" of rising coronavirus cases flattened, fewer and fewer Romans joined to sing from their balconies in the evenings with neighbors, and more and more of them attempted to leave their homes, testing the boundaries of the ever-changing decrees and regulations.

Catholics, many of whom were disappointed to have been denied in-person services since before Easter, have also begun to raise questions about religious freedom as the government refused to allow them to attend Mass in the first wave of openings.

In Italy, which still has the highest death toll in Europe, small weddings and funerals are allowed, but restaurants, gyms and churches will be the last to reopen at the end of the month.

Italian bishops secured an agreement with the government over the weekend to allow churches and other houses of worship to reopen and hold religious functions while maintaining safety measures.

About CHPP

About Capitol Hill Prayer Partners

Our Mission Statement

Capitol Hill Prayer Partners (CHPP) is a ministry which is positioned on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., helping members of the Body of Christ to "pray for those in authority over us" in our federal government. Our primary purpose is to offer intercession on site for the members of Congress and their staffs each day that the Senate and the House of Representatives are in session; and our chief prayer focus is that "God's will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." [Matthew 6:10].

Because Jesus Christ has shed His blood for all, we, too, pray for ALL, in a nonpartisan manner. Also, because the scriptures indicate that "the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 4:17), we are confident that fervent prayer, offered in the halls of the highest chambers of government in our land, can avail much for America. Capitol Hill Prayer Partners welcomes those who feel called to join us, engaging in this strategic work of intercession for our nation: "For there is no power but of God; the powers that be are ordained of God." [Romans 13:1]

Reading the Bible Together

WELCOME TO OUR BIBLE READATHON!

"For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD as the waters cover the sea." (Habakkuk 2:14)

> > > Reading the Word of God over our nation, six nights per week!! ALL NIGHT LONG!

We are now reading the Word of God every night (except on Sunday mornings) from midnight to 6:00 a.m. EDT. We are reading through the whole Word, from Genesis to Revelation, and beginning again in Genesis when finished. [As of this writing, over the past three years, we have now "read through" the entire Word of God sixty-five times, nonstop. Hallelujah!]

Our numbers of readers continues to grow over time. All are welcome to join, as we use "the weapons of OUR warfare" to confront our enemy and BRING HIM DOWN through the LOVE of our Messiah and, by faith, setting captives free!

Our conference number is: 712-432-0075. The access code is: 206425#.

Please call at any time from midnight to 6:00 a.m. EST!
EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO JOIN OUR "WARFARE IN THE NIGHT", USING THE WEAPON OF HIS WARFARE - THE WORD OF GOD!

"For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart." (Hebrews 4:12)

> > > A footnote: 2020 has been declared "the Year of the Bible."

Hallelujah!!

Please join us as, together, we "soak the very atmosphere of our nation" in the WORD OF GOD!

In closing, let us decree together that . . .

"Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path." (Psalm 119:105)

AMEN!!

Reminder!

Our conference number is: 712-432-0075.
