1. Amid growing tensions, Hezbollah risks escalation as it seeks retaliation - JNS
(July 27, 2020 / JNS) Tensions between Israel and Hezbollah have reached a fever pitch over the last week, with Israel's defense establishment readying for an attack by the Lebanese terror group.
On Monday, a Hezbollah terror cell reportedly attempted to infiltrate northern Israel. The Israel Defense Forces said it was able to track the terror cell and open fire, forcing the fighters to flee back into Lebanon.
IDF international spokesperson Lt. Col. Jonathan Conricus told reporters by conference call on Monday that the incident is a "rolling event," adding, "it is still an ongoing event."
2. New virus czar: No more 'illogical' rules, army to take over contact tracing - Times of Israel
Israel's newly-appointed coronavirus czar Prof. Ronni Gamzu on Tuesday unveiled his plan to combat the pandemic, saying the military would be tasked with contact tracing, while acknowledging the Health Ministry's failure to adequately perform epidemiological investigations to stem the spread of the virus.
In a press conference with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Benny Gantz, and Health Minister Yuli Edelstein, Gamzu vowed to ramp up testing while keeping government restrictions to a minimum. He also expressed confidence the virus rates could be brought under control. "We can beat it," he said of the pandemic, adding that success would require a unified effort by Israelis.
Gamzu said the Israel Defense Forces would take responsibility for epidemiological investigations, predicting it could set up a unit responsible for the task within two weeks. The IDF "has the capabilities, it has the technologies," to cut the chain of infection, he said.
3. Coronavirus czar debuts 'Shield of Israel' strategic plan - Jerusalem Post
"I expect all government ministers to back up this plan," Netanyahu said. "I expect all Israeli citizens, without exception, to cooperate with it. Together, we will defeat coronavirus."
Less than one week after being appointed the country's new coronavirus commissioner, Prof. Ronni Gamzu revealed his "Shield of Israel" strategic plan to save the country from the novel coronavirus.
Although Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Alternative Prime Minister Benny Gantz and Health Minister Yuli Edelstein participated in the unveiling event, Gamzu took center stage.
4. Israel sends reinforcements to north, bracing for imminent attack - Times of Israel
The Israel Defense Forces deployed additional reinforcements to the country's Lebanese and Syrian borders on Tuesday, indicating it was bracing for more violence along the frontiers after an alleged attempted attack by the Hezbollah terror group the day before.
Israeli officials expected an attack on Israeli troops by the Lebanese terror group within the next 48 hours, before the start of the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Adha on Thursday night, according to an unattributed Channel 12 report on Tuesday.
Over the past week, Hezbollah has threatened some form of retaliation for the death of one of its fighters last week in Syria in an airstrike that it attributed to Israel, but which the Jewish state has not officially acknowledged conducting.
Though the IDF on Tuesday did not confirm that it expected an attack in the coming two days, it indicated that it was bracing for fresh violence on the border, saying it was sending additional "advanced" firepower in the form of precision-guided surface-to-surface missiles, additional combat intelligence units and special forces to the area.
5. Israeli forces neutralize explosive attached to balloons near Gaza border- JNS
(July 28, 2020 / JNS) Israeli security forces confirmed on Monday that they neutralized an explosive attached to balloons in an agricultural area near the border with the Gaza Strip.
Discovered in the Eshkol Region, the explosive was destroyed before it caused any damage, reported i24 news.
This comes a little more than a month after a balloon attack from Gaza on the fields of Kibbutz Nir Oz, where local volunteer and professional firefighters rushed to put out at least four spot fires in the Eshkol Region.

1. A Russia Analyst Living In The US Has Been Identified As Christopher Steele's Primary Dossier Source - Daily Caller
A Russian-born analyst living in the United States has been identified as the primary source for Christopher Steele, the author of a now-debunked dossier regarding Donald Trump and members of his campaign.
Igor Danchenko, 42, was identified as the dossier source through a series of events that began with the July 17 release of an FBI memo of interviews conducted with Steele's primary source in January 2017.
The FBI redacted all information in the memo that might identify Danchenko and six of his sub-sources, but a Twitter user pieced together clues from the memo - such that Danchenko worked as a "facilitator" and had studied in the United States - to identify him as the likely source. The Twitter sleuth created a blog laying out information about Danchenko.
On Saturday, The New York Times confirmed that Danchenko was the source. (Read more)

2. Controversy Erupts Over Doctor's Hydroxychloroquine Claims - Sara Carter
Other media outlets are covering this story and reporting on discrepancies with Dr. Immanuel's past medical claims. For example, the Daily Beast reports, "She has often claimed that gynecological problems like cysts and endometriosis are in fact caused by people having sex in their dreams with demons and witches. She alleges alien DNA is currently used in medical treatments, and that scientists are cooking up a vaccine to prevent people from being religious."
This reporter has reached out to Dr. Immanuel for comment on her claims and practice. We will update this story when there is a response.
A primary care physician in Houston, Texas, Dr. Stella Immanuel, spoke in front of the steps of the U.S. Supreme Court in Washington, D.C. on Monday, sharing her experience treating patients infected with the novel coronavirus, saying she's not lost one and attributes that to the efficacy of hydroxychloroquine. "I actually went to medical school in West Africa, in Nigeria where I took care of malaria patients, treated them with hydroxychloroquine and stuff like that, so I'm actually used to these medications," Dr. Immanuel said. "I'm here because I have personally treated over 350 patients with COVID. Patients that have diabetes, patients that have high blood pressure, patients that have asthma, all people. I think my oldest patient is 92, 87-year-olds. And the result has been the same: put them on hydroxychloroquine, I put them on zinc, I put them on Zithromax, and they are all well." (Read more)

3. Valerie Jarrett On Fake Dossier And Russia Probe: It 'was four years ago' Let's Move On - Sara Carter
A former top senior advisor and loyalist to President Barack Obama told Fox News Business host Maria Bartiromo Tuesday that the FBI's false investigation into President Donald Trump's 2016 campaign and that it conspired with Russia is old news and "why our focus isn't what's happening right now."
This stunning statement came from Obama's most loyal advisor Valerie Jarrett, who also stated that the investigators in the Trump Russia investigation behaved appropriately, despite a plethora of evidence suggesting otherwise.
Baritromo asked Jarrett, if former FBI Director James Comey knew that former British spy Christopher Steele's dossier was garbage but he continued to renew warrants to spy on Carter Page, a member of the 2016 Trump campaign, shouldn't he be prosecuted. According to several government officials who spoke to SaraACarter.comm Comey is a central figure being investigated by the Justice Department's criminal probe being headed by Connecticut prosecutor John Durham, who was appointed by Attorney General William Barr.

4. Obama and Clooney team up to raise money for Biden - Fox News
Former President Barack Obama is being joined by actor and activist George Clooney on Tuesday - for a virtual conversation and fundraiser to raise money for former Vice President Joe Biden. It's the second time Obama has headlined a fundraiser on behalf of Biden, his vice president for his eight years in the White House.
The two men teamed up virtually last month for a fundraiser that hauled in $11 million - the 2020 presumptive Democratic presidential nominee's single most lucrative fundraising event. More than 120,000 people signed up to attend the online event.
Biden and Obama met in recent weeks at the former president's offices in the nation's capital to record a socially distanced conversation that the Biden campaign has been showcasing online and has turned into an ad.

5. Portland Protester Strikes Courthouse with 'Destructive Device' Felt 'More than a Block Away' - Brietbart
Portland protesters targeted the federal courthouse again late Monday night, hurling a Molotov cocktail or "similar destructive device" at the building, which "burst into a fireball when it struck the building causing a report to be heard and felt more than a block away," according to the Portland Police Bureau.
Protesters gathered in the downtown area for a series of speeches as a "large fire" burned where the 120-year-old Elk statue previously stood. The figure was removed after protesters repeatedly vandalized the statue and damaged its base.
Demonstrators - equipped with gas masks, helmets, shields hockey sticks, golf clubs, fireworks, and other objects - gathered outside of the federal courthouse and set a fire inside the fence. Others hurled fireworks and rocks over the area. (Read more)

6. Barr accuses Jerry Nadler of conflating violent crime in cities with civil unrest in wake of George Floyd death - Washington Examiner
Attorney General William Barr accused Rep. Jerry Nadler of conflating the Justice Department's response to a recent uptick in violent crime in major cities with efforts by the department to assist local law enforcement with civil unrest in the same places.
You really can't hide behind legal fictions this time, Mr. Barr. It's all out in the open," Nadler told Barr during a House Judiciary Committee hearing Tuesday. "The president wants footage for his campaign ads, and you appear to be serving it up to him as ordered. In most of these cities, the protests had begun to wind down before you marched in and confronted the protesters. ... In this moment, real leadership would entail deescalation ... instead, you use pepper spray and truncheons on American citizens. . . Shame on you, Mr. Barr."
Barr pushed back on Nadler's assertion that he is acting as a political tool for President Trump. You've conflated two different things. The effort, like [Operation Legend], is to deal with violent crime ... That does not involve encountering protesters, as you refer to it. Civil disturbance is a separate set of issues," Barr said. "And I just reject the decision that the department is flooded anywhere in an attempt to suppress demonstrators. ... And the fact of the matter is, in Portland, the courthouse is under attack." We pray that the public will see through this guise and respect the Justice Department for all it does in spite of all the opposition from Congress. 7. Senate GOP bill fulfills Trump request with 100% deduction for business meals - Washington Examiner
Senate Republicans' pandemic relief bill released Monday includes a 100% deduction for business meals and beverages provided by restaurants through the end of 2020. The provision "will lead to more customers, more opportunities for hardworking waitstaff and kitchen staff, and much-needed revenue for small businesses across the country," said Sen. Tim Scott, a Republican from South Carolina.
President Trump had called on Congress to allow businesses to deduct meals and entertainment expenses fully as a means of inducing more visits to restaurants. In April, when the economy was locked down to slow the spread of the coronavirus, the president tweeted that allowing deductions on meals would help restaurants reopen.
"Congress must pass the old, and very strongly proven, deductibility by businesses on restaurants and entertainment. This will bring restaurants, and everything related, back - and stronger than ever. Move quickly, they will all be saved!" he wrote. (Read more)

8. Trump to allow 'Dreamer' protection renewals for one year - Washington Examiner
The Trump administration is to resume allowing so-called "Dreamers" to renew deportation protections as it reviews the program and the implications of a recent Supreme Court ruling, according to a senior administration official.
The Deferred Action for Child Arrivals program was established by President Barack Obama and covers more than 600,000 young people who arrived in the country illegally.
It has been a target of President Trump's hard-line immigration policy ever since he took power, but the Supreme Court recently ruled that officials had failed to meet the proper procedural requirements to end the program.
The senior administration official said new applications would not be accepted but that renewals would be allowed for a year. (Read more)

9. National teacher union supports strikes over reopening plans - Brietbart
One of the nation's largest teachers unions is authorizing its members to strike if their schools plan to reopen without proper safety measures. One of the nation's largest teachers unions is authorizing its members to strike if their schools plan to reopen without proper safety measures in the middle of the global pandemic.
The American Federation of Teachers, which represents 1.7 million school employees, issued a resolution on Tuesday saying it will support any local chapter that decides to strike over reopening plans.
In providing its blessing, the union is also offering local chapters access to its financial and legal resources as they navigate a return to the classroom. Union officials said they will provide legal support, communications support and staffing to local chapters that vote to strike. In announcing the measure, the union's president blasted President Donald Trump for ordering schools to reopen even as the virus continues to surge. Randi Weingarten called Trump's response "chaotic and catastrophic," saying it has left teachers afraid. (Read more)

10. George Soros Spends $52 Million on 2020 Election Cycle - Brietbart
Left-wing and partisan Democrat billionaire George Soros spent more than $52 million in political spending, per Federal Election Commission (FEC) filings, according to a report for the Washington Free Beacon. The total does not include ostensibly philanthropic spending via his Open Society Foundations network. The Washington Free Beacon reported on FEC filings from Soros's political action committee (PAC), Democracy PAC: Soros ramped up his political spending this cycle through the Democracy PAC, which he created last year to pump large sums into the coffers of other left-wing groups. New filings to the Federal Election Commission show the PAC doled out nearly $17 million last quarter, bringing its total cash disbursements this cycle to $48 million. Soros gave another $4 million directly to Democratic campaigns and committees without first depositing the money into his PAC. The $52 million cash influx is more than double Soros's previous high of $22 million, which came during the last presidential election. (Read more)

The cauldron of civil war in America
In May of 2017, I wrote in the Daily Jot what I saw as a growing civil war in America. I quoted as an example a University of Hawaii professor who wanted to eliminate white men from academia because she believed "actual solutions require women of color and trans people". Piper Harron, a black female, wrote, "If you are a white cis man (meaning you identify as male and you were assigned male at birth) . . . you are the problem. Your very presence." These types of conclusions have been brewing in a cauldron of class warfare for years. It is from the Marxist playbook, collectively seeking to overthrow America. The riots in various US cities today are a reflection of Marxism more than they are protesting racism.
Racism, in this case, was the spark. The subsequent fire is resultant of Marxists hijacking the moment of crisis. Americans are like the legendary frog in the boiling pot. Constitutional scholar, radio host and Fox News contributor Douglas V. Gibbs, in his January 2011 blogspot, politicalpistachio, observed: "The United States, however, despite the belief that this is a free country, has been under the assault of the same collectivist forces that guided the Bolsheviks and Soviet communists. American culture has been infiltrated, and though the process of turning our society into a communal system has been much slower, applied in an incremental manner, the American system is also moving in a direction of utopianism under the invisible hand of social engineering, and orchestrated class warfare."
Gibbs continued, "The liberals use political correctness to mask their true intent. They have discouraged any debate over their true motives, censoring their opposition through ridicule and accusations. The discussion has omitted language that may betray their social engineering, income redistribution, class warfare, and any form of affirmative action that might become associated with these foregoing notions. Eliminating these ideas from the public debate, while acting upon them, has enabled them to fill the political discussion with propaganda that pit the wealthy against the poor, the religious against non-believers, sexual perversion against anyone who dares to question the "normalcy" of their abnormal behavior, and of course pitting the various ethnicities and races against each other."
Gibbs' astute observations nine years ago have become the rising tide today. It is the dialectic on steroids-thesis, antithesis, synthesis. The more outrageous the claim (the antithesis), the faster people move toward the new thesis (synthesis). These are ingredients for revolution and tyranny. As stated in Micah 7:6-7, "For the son dishonors the father, the daughter rises up against her mother, the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; a man's enemies are the men of his own house. Therefore, I will look unto the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me." We must pray and act. We must stand in the gap and make up the hedge, point out the tyranny of censorship and freedom of thought. Expose to your family, neighbors and friends-respectfully-the folly of these machinations of evil.

Editor's Note: We know that there is a layer of deep state actors embedded throughout the government. We also know that this election is not your normal Candidate A vs. Candidate B contest. You can feel the spiritual battle pulling in our nation. But what if what we think we know is just a fraction of what is really happening behind the scenes and deep within the government? What if there is more at play? We cannot know all that is happening, but we do know we are called to pray and that it can even affect situations we have no knowledge of. Read this article as an eye-opener. Could there be some truth to it? Ask for discernment as you read. Know that IFA is not in agreement that this is "bound to happen" as the original author says, or Even with all of his assessments, but we do believe there are many things we do not know and that intercession can shift the battle and change outcomes. Prayer is that critical!
As intercessors we see and pray about the roots of ungodliness In our nation, pray against the plans the enemy has, and pray to release the fullness of God's purposes here in our nation as well as protection and direction for our leaders. Sometimes the news is grim. We take that as intel we can use to release prayer against those plans of the enemy and press in even more during critical times, in certain places and for particular issues. We wanted to share this as simply an eye opener. This writer is not necessarily a Christian but has information nonetheless. Our response will be different than his. His response is "worst-case scenario" despondency-ours is insight for strategic prayer for victory.

Sometimes giving an enemy a false sense of security by allowing them a minor victory is the best strategy. The globalists strategize for the long term; not just for the next 4 years, but for the next 40 years. As Richard N. Gardner, former deputy assistant Secretary of State for International Organizations under Kennedy and Johnson, and a member of the Trilateral Commission, wrote in the April, 1974 issue of the Council on Foreign Relation's (CFR) journal Foreign Affairs (pg. 558) in an article titled 'The Hard Road To World Order':

It will look like a great 'booming, buzzing confusion,' to use William James' famous description of reality, but an end run around national sovereignty, eroding it piece by piece, will accomplish much more than the old-fashioned frontal assault."
Trump's entry into the White House brought hope for many conservatives, but I never put much faith in the eventual outcome once I realized the same elites that had infested previous administrations were now packed into Trump's cabinet. The fact of the matter is, Trump is surrounded by them. . . .
This brings us to 2020. We are now in the middle of a viral pandemic; government officials and establishment elites are calling for extensive economic lockdowns in order to "flatten the curve" and slow the infection rate. These lockdowns are accelerating the decline of the already weakened US economy and setting the country up for collapse in the near term. Civil unrest is constantly on the verge of breaking out on both sides of the political divide.
The social justice cultists want chaos in the name of bringing down the system and replacing it with some kind of Marxist Utopia. Conservatives are ready to protest and perhaps even go to war in order to stop the lockdowns and prevent medical tyranny (and I agree with them). This is the background for election 2020, and it's an epic mess.
For the past few month my suspicion is that there might not be an election at all. But let's look at the factors that are in place . . .

This event is FREE! We begin with a solemn assembly led by Rabbi Chaim Eisen to mourn the destruction of the First and Second Temple, the devastation of God's Holy Land, and the exile of His covenant people.
On the morning of July 30, we will hear from AnaRina Heymann and Tommy Waller as they set the stage to prepare our hearts for prayer. We continue with nine hours of live streaming prayer and repentance, taking ownership of our church history for the sins, atrocities, and persecutions committed in the name of Christ against the Jewish people. In each hour we focus on a specific theme.

"Someone needs to stand up and do something!" I heard these same words over and over again in response to the latest mandate of restrictions which are stripping away our freedom and rights. Someone does need to stand up and do something . . .
These thoughts were racing through my mind as we prepared to celebrate our freedom this month.
July fourth has become one of my favorite holidays. It's a family affair. My daughter, her husband, myself and my two grandchildren piled in the vehicle the day before in search of fireworks.
The kids chattered nonstop. Their excitement was contagious. Bryson loves smoke bombs and loud booms, while Brailee's prefers any kind of sparkler. It all brought a welcomed smile to my face.
Yet my heart ached as I thought about the last few months. This year's freedom celebration was bittersweet as we watch our rights trampled on by elected officials and their abuse of power.
My thoughts drifted to two things; the men and women who gave their very lives for our freedom, and the Declaration of Independence.
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.-That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, -That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.
Are we safe and happy? I don't think so. Yet, we the people have watched in dismay while our nation is violated and destroyed by sheer hate. With trembling hearts and deep disappointment, we do not know what to do or how to stop this downhill spiral.
Thankfully, many are doing something! Some days, it feels like we are the minority, but I am encouraged of the Lord as He often reminds me that there is more with us than with them.
Still, what we face daily can be discouraging.
. . . Take a moment and think about how many of our rights have been removed in six short months.
- We are being told where we can and cannot go
- Churches closed, Walmart and liquor stores remained open
- A growing number of states are mandating masks
- Weeks of rioting and destruction continues
- Mandated vaccines begin in Tennessee
- Worship and singing banned in California
- Establishments forcing cashless purchase

A DOUBLE MINOR METEOR SHOWER
Tonight, July 28-29, Earth is passing through streams of debris from two comets: 96P/Machholz and 169P/NEAT. Naturally, this is causing two meteor showers: the Southern Delta Aquarids and the alpha Capricornids. Added together, they produce 10 to 20 meteors per hour--a relatively minor display. Giants Sam Coonrod Proclaims Christian Faith during BLM Moment & National Anthem
"I'm not mad at someone who decided to kneel. I just don't think it's too much to ask that I just get the same respect." - Sam Coonrod
San Francisco Giants pitcher Sam Coonrod affirmed his Christian faith during Thursday's game against the Los Angeles Dodgers when he chose not to kneel because of his beliefs and disagreements with some of the views of the Black Lives Matter organization.
"I meant no ill will by it," he said. "I don't think I'm better than anybody. I'm just a Christian. I believe I can't kneel before anything but God, Jesus Christ. I chose not to kneel. I feel if I did kneel I'd be a hypocrite. I don't want to be a hypocrite."
Coonrod was the only player on both teams who did not kneel with his teammates, although he joined them in holding onto a black ribbon which represented unity.
"I just can't get on board with a couple things I've read about Black Lives Matter, how they lean towards Marxism," Coonrod said, according to TMZ Sports. "And ... they said some negative things about the nuclear family. I just can't get on board with that."
