President Trump at Mt. Rushmore

10 must-see moments from President Trump's Mt. Rushmore speech

President Trump visited Mount Rushmore on Friday, where he delivered "one of the best speeches of his Presidency," according to The Wall Street Journal editorial board.

WATCH: Highlights from President Trump's visit to Mt. Rushmore

"Contrary to the media reporting, the America Mr. Trump described is one of genuine racial equality and diversity," they continue. The President told the story of America through its many national heroes-presidents such as Washington and Lincoln, as well as other brave patriots such as Frederick Douglass and Martin Luther King Jr.

"No nation has done more to advance the human condition than the United States of America," President Trump said. "And no people have done more to promote human progress than the citizens of our great nation."

Here are 10 of the top moments from his speech:

1. An eternal tribute to our forefathers. In contrast to the far-left mobs tearing down and desecrating monuments across our country, President Trump honored the lives of the four men whose faces are forever carved into Mount Rushmore.

2. America's history will not be surrendered. Anarchists and extremists "think the American people are weak, and soft, and submissive. But no-the American people are strong and proud, and they will not allow our country, and all of its values, history, and culture, to be taken from them."

3. All men are created equal. Fifty-six patriots, 244 years ago, set in motion "the unstoppable march of freedom" by stating boldly that "all men are created equal."

4. Today, we set the record straight. "The radical view of American history is a web of lies-all perspective is removed, every virtue is obscured, every motive is twisted, every fact is distorted, and every flaw is magnified until the history is purged and the record is disfigured beyond all recognition."

5. We will not be silenced. "No person who remains quiet at the destruction of this resplendent heritage can possibly lead us to a better future," President Trump said. No one who loves this country would seek to demolish its legacy.

6. Our children can achieve anything. "We will raise the next generation of American patriots . . . We will teach our children to know that they live in a land of legends, that nothing can stop them, and that no one can hold them down."

7. Made in the holy image of God. Americans believe in equal opportunity, equal justice, and equal treatment for every person. "Every child, of every color-born and unborn-is made in the holy image of God."

8. A surprise announcement. President Trump announced the creation of a new national monument, the National Garden of American Heroes. It will be a vast outdoor park featuring statues of the greatest Americans who have ever lived.

9. The father of our country. "From head to toe, George Washington represented the strength, grace, and dignity of the American people."

10. The best is yet to come. "Centuries from now, our legacy will be the cities we built, the champions we forged, the good we did, and the monuments we created to inspire us all . . . America's future is in our hands."

Focus on Israel

1. Israel flags security risk as US allows HD satellite images of Israel - Jerusalem Post

An Israeli official flagged a possible security risk on Monday following a US move to allow American providers to sell clearer satellite images of Israel and the Palestinian territories.

Under a 1997 US regulation known as the Kyl-Bingaman Amendment, satellite images of Israel and the Palestinian territories used in services like Google Earth could show items no smaller than 2 meters (6.56 ft) across.

The curb, Israel had argued, would help prevent enemies using public-domain information to spy on its sensitive sites.

But the US Commercial Remote Sensing Regulatory Affairs Office said on June 25 it would allow enhanced resolutions of 0.4 meter. In a statement to Reuters, the agency said "a number of foreign sources" are already producing and disseminating sub-2 m. imagery of Israel.

2. Health Minister: Restrictions give us hope we will not need a lockdown - Israel National News

Health Minister Yuli Edelstein delivered an address Monday evening on the government's efforts to contain the coronavirus pandemic.

"Today we held a difficult government meeting, and in the end we came to a decision. Each and every part of the decision will have an impact on the lives of many citizens, their livelihoods, their leisure time, and their way of life," Edelstein said.

"This should not be taken lightly. Indeed, an integral part of the government's decision is the provision of assistance to businesses that are harmed [by these restrictions]. I am pleased that the prime minister has instructed the Finance Minister to present a practical plan within 48 hours. A decrease in morbidity is linked to the strengthening of the economy, while an increase in morbidity will lead to real damage to the economy. We must flatten the curve in order to save lives and to save the economy," he explained.

3. Health minister warns of lockdown next week as nearly 1,000 virus cases found - Times of Israel

The Health Ministry on Monday evening released new figures showing 962 coronavirus infections in the previous 24 hours, as Health Minister Yuli Edelstein said new restrictions approved earlier in the day were aimed at avoiding a national lockdown in the next week or two.

The tally brought the number of total confirmed cases to 30,749. The Health Ministry also announced two new deaths, bringing the toll to 334.

The number of serious cases was down from 90 to 88, but the number of people on ventilators rose to 35, three more than on Monday morning.

4. Gov't approves bill to bypass Knesset on coronavirus decisions - Jerusalem Post

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu could soon get to make decisions on emergency coronavirus regulations by himself, with just a rubber stamp of a quick cabinet vote, according to a bill that was passed in his cabinet on Monday.

The bill allows such decisions to take effect immediately, and passed in its second and third reading late Monday night after deliberations in the Knesset Coronavirus Committee.

According to the bill, the Knesset committee will discuss decisions made by the government and decide whether to approve them, in whole or in part, within seven days of when they passed. An extension of up to three more days is allowed.

To the extent that the relevant committee does not approve the government's decision within the aforementioned period, the decisions will be brought to the Knesset plenum as soon as possible.

5. Palestinian Authority Banks Refuse to Accept Salaries for Terrorists - Jewish Press

Ignoring a directive from the PA to all banks in the PA areas that they must accept money for payment of salaries to the accounts of terrorists and families of killed terrorists, at least four banks have refused to follow the PA's dictates. This was exposed by PA Director of the Commission of Prisoners' Affairs, Qadri Abu Bakr yesterday. All the banks are refusing to allow these groups to use their ATM cards.

This comes two and a half months after Palestinian Media Watch, sent letters warning the banks operating in the PA-controlled areas of potential criminal and civil liability if they continued aiding and abetting the PA to pay rewards to terrorists.

Five weeks Palestinian civil servants waited for the PA to pay them their May salaries.

While the PA usually pays its employees in the first half of every month, until July 3, the PA had not paid any salaries to its employees for the month of May. The delay in the payment was ostensibly a result of the renewed refusal to receive the tax monies Israel collects and transfers to the PA but was also potentially connected to the PA's difficulties to pay the terrorist prisoners.

1. Labor Secretary Scalia optimistic about economy resurgence, but warns precautions still needed - Fox News

Labor Secretary Eugene Scalia expressed optimism Sunday over an economic resurgence as nearly 5 million jobs were gained in June but warned that people must be smart about dealing with the ongoing coronavirus pandemic for the growth to continue. Appearing on "Fox News Sunday," Scalia said there is a reason for optimism, even as most states are seeing rises in case numbers.

"I believe that we can continue to reopen workplaces safely," Scalia said. He made clear, however, that this is only if people take proper precautions. Scalia specifically said people need to wear masks and practice social distancing, or economic growth will be more challenging.

The secretary noted that in recent months the U.S. has added 7.5 million jobs during a time frame where some experts predicted that the same number would be lost. Scalia said there are reasons to believe that growth can continue, including encouraging retail spending numbers and the USMCA trade deal that recently went into effect.

Asked about the possibility of a sharp, V-shaped recovery, Scalia said, "Those are the indications that we see." (Read more)

2. China Never Reported Existence of Coronavirus to World Health Organization- Free Beacon

Contrary to claims from both Chinese officials and the World Health Organization, China did not report the existence of the coronavirus in late 2019, according to a WHO timeline tracking the spread of the virus. Rather, international health officials discovered the virus through information posted to a U.S. website.

The quiet admission from the international health organization, which posted an "updated" timeline to its website this week, flies in the face of claims from some of its top officials, including WHO director general Tedros Adhanom, who maintained for months that China had informed his organization about the emerging sickness.

China and its allies at the WHO insisted in multiple interviews and press conferences that China came to the health organization with information about the virus. This is now known to be false. The WHO's backtracking lends credibility to a recent congressional investigation that determined China concealed information about the virus and did not initially inform the WHO, as it was required to do.

The WHO's updated timeline, posted online this week, now states that officials first learned about the virus on Dec. 31, 2019, through information posted on a U.S. website by doctors working in Wuhan, where the virus first emerged. This contradicts the agency's initial timeline, which said that China first presented this information at that date.

That initial timeline stated that the "Wuhan Municipal Health Commission, China, reported a cluster of cases of pneumonia in Wuhan, Hubei Province" on Dec. 31. These claims were carried in numerous American media outlets that relied on the WHO's inaccurate timeline, including CNN and Axios. (Read more)

3. California Bans Singing in Church - Breitbart

The State of California has banned singing in any indoor religious services, even with masks on, under new guidelines issued by the Department of Public Health to control the spread of the coronavirus. The new guidelines state (emphasis added):

Even with adherence to physical distancing, convening in a congregational setting of multiple different households to practice a personal faith carries a relatively higher risk for widespread transmission of the COVID-19 virus, and may result in increased rates of infection, hospitalization, and death, especially among more vulnerable populations. In particular, activities such as singing and chanting negate the risk- reduction achieved through six feet of physical distancing.

*Places of worship must therefore discontinue singing and chanting activities and limit indoor attendance to 25% of building capacity or a maximum of 100 attendees, whichever is lower. Local Health Officers are advised to consider appropriate limitations on outdoor attendance capacities, factoring their jurisdiction's key COVID- 19 health indicators. At a minimum, outdoor attendance should be limited naturally through implementation of strict physical distancing measures of a minimum of six feet between attendees from different households, in addition to other relevant protocols within this document.

California had begun re-opening places of worship a few weeks ago, as the state had succeeded in slowing the spread of the disease. But a surge of cases since early June - coinciding with the eruption of the Black Lives Matter protests - has caused the state to reinstate many restrictions. (Read more)

- Father, no one can tell the people of God that they can't sing praises to You. We pray that it will not stand, that in court action it will fall as quickly as it was raised. The Supreme Court has already ruled against another church on this matter. We ask for a move of Your Spirit not just to stop this action, but to dissipate the virus that is driving the excuses.

"He answered, 'I tell you, if these were silent, the very stones would cry out.'" (Luke 19:40)

4. Michael Dukakis Warns Joe Biden: Don't Take Polls Too Seriously - Breitbart

Former 1988 Democrat presidential candidate Michael Dukakis is warning former Vice President and presumptive 2020 Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden that he should not take polls too seriously. The presumptive 2020 Democrat presidential nominee is currently ahead of President Donald Trump by 50-38, according to a recent Fox News poll. Biden also leads the president by 8.8 percentage points, according to the latest average of national polls put together by RealClearPolitics.

At around the same time in late July 1988, a Newsweek/Gallup poll showed Dukakis leading 55-38 over former President George H.W. Bush, the Boston Globe reported.

Dukakis was in a similar position at this time of year when he was running for president against Bush in 1988, and had warned Biden that "polls should be studied cautiously." "Particularly this year, [polls] should be studied cautiously," Dukakis told the Globe. "Biden can and should win, but being at 50, no matter how weak your opponent is, is no guarantee of success." Dukakis's numbers took a nosedive after a series of gaffes and public relations blunders, as well as a dispassionate debate performance in the second presidential debate with Bush. (Read more)

- Lord, polls are notoriously wrong, and are easily manipulated. We pray that over and above all polls, You will save America from the leftists who seek to destroy our nation.

5. Potential Biden VP Pick Tammy Duckworth Signals Openness To Tearing Down Statues Of Founding Fathers - Daily Wire

Sen. Tammy Duckworth (D-IL), a potential running mate for presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden, signaled on Sunday that she was open to tearing down statues of some of America's founding fathers. "Senator, I know that you support change in the name of military bases named after Confederate leaders," CNN's Dana Bash said. "But there are leaders like George Washington and Thomas Jefferson who were slave owners, and some people are demanding that their monuments come down, too. So, in your view, where does it end? Should statues, for example, of George Washington come down?"

"Well, let me just say that we should start off by having a national dialogue on it at some point," Duckworth responded. Duckworth continued by attacking President Donald Trump, saying that Trump has "spent all his time talking about dead traitors." "So, that might be true, but George Washington, I don't think anybody would call him a traitor," Bash responded. "And there are moves by some to remove statues of him. Is that a good idea?" "I think we should listen to everybody," Duckworth responded. "I think we should listen to the argument there." (Read more)

- Lord, we pray that You will reveal to Ms. Duckworth the truth about these monuments being toppled. We speak truth to her heart and mind, and bind the lies that have been fed to her in Jesus Name.

"Do not remove the ancient landmark which your fathers have set." (Proverbs 22:28)

6. Columbus Statue Toppled, Thrown into Harbor by Baltimore Protesters - Newsmax

Baltimore protesters pulled down a statue of Christopher Columbus and threw it into the city's Inner Harbor on Saturday night.

Demonstrators used ropes to topple the monument near the Little Italy neighborhood, news outlets reported. Protesters mobilized by the death of George Floyd at the hands of police have called for the removal of statues of Columbus, Confederate figures and others. They say the Italian explorer is responsible for the genocide and exploitation of native peoples in the Americas.

According to The Baltimore Sun, the statue was owned by the city and dedicated in 1984 by former Mayor William Donald Schaefer and President Ronald Reagan. A spokesman for Baltimore Mayor Bernard C. "Jack" Young told The Sun the toppling of the statue is a part of a national and global reexamination over monuments "that may represent different things to different people." "We understand the dynamics that are playing out in Baltimore are part of a national narrative," Lester Davis said.

Statues of Columbus have also been toppled or vandalized in cities such as Miami; Richmond, Virginia; St. Paul, Minnesota; and Boston, where one was decapitated. (Read more)

- Lord, these egregious actions are meant to entirely erase American history, and if history is erased, it will not be remembered nor taught. You are the only hope we have in America! Renew us, refresh Your presence, change our minds and hearts to look to You at this difficult time.

"O LORD, I have heard Your speech and was afraid; O LORD, revive Your work in the midst of the years! In the midst of the years make it known; In wrath remember mercy." (Habakkuk 3:2)

7. Georgia Governor Calls Up National Guard, Declares State Of Emergency Due To Violence - NPR

Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp is activating up to 1,000 National Guard troops after a spate of shootings and protests in Atlanta over the weekend. Five people died, including an 8-year-old girl, and at least 30 people were injured. The Republican governor issued an executive order Monday that would send the National Guard to protect the state Capitol, the Governor's Mansion and the Department of Public Safety's headquarters, where close to 100 demonstrators set fire to part of the building early Sunday morning.

In the order, Kemp slammed Atlanta officials who "have failed to quell ongoing violence" over an especially turbulent few months that have seen the resignation of the police chief, increased sickouts of officers and two officers charged in a killing of a Black man by law enforcement.

"Peaceful protests were hijacked by criminals with a dangerous, destructive agenda," Kemp said. "Now, innocent Georgians are being targeted, shot and left for dead. ... Enough with the tough talk - we must protect the lives and livelihoods of all Georgians."

The Atlanta Police Department is offering a reward in the killing of 8-year-old Secoriea Turner, who was shot Saturday night near the Wendy's where Rayshard Brooks was killed by a white police officer on June 12. Sunday evening, a visibly frustrated Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms decried the violence that rocked the city over the Fourth of July weekend, asking for information about a group of armed individuals who blocked the road before firing into the car and striking Secoriea.

"Enough is enough," Bottoms said. "We have talked about this movement that is happening across America at this moment in time when we have the ears and the interest of people across this country and across this globe who are saying they want to see change." (Read more)

- Father God, we repent of our own lack of humility, whose pride and arrogance are the taproot of the spirit of lawlessness that is now sweeping across our land. We lay axe to the root of pride in Your Mighty Name, and we trust You to heal our land. In Your name, amen.

- 2 Chronicles 7:14

8. South Dakota Gov: Founding 'Ideals Cannot Be Dismissed As The Irrelevant Opinions Of Flawed Men' - Daily Wire

On Friday, South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem (R) delivered a speech at Mount Rushmore for President's Trump's Independence Day celebration. After thanking those who came to the event, Noem made a critical point about the ongoing attempt to erase American history:

"Across America these last several weeks, we have been witnessing a very troubling situation unfold. In real-time, we are watching an organized, coordinated campaign to remove and eliminate all references to our nation's founding and many other points in our history. Rather than looking to the past to help improve our future, some are trying to wipe away the lessons of history, lessons that we should be teaching to our children and to our grandchildren. This approach focuses exclusively on our forefathers' flaws, but it fails to capitalize on the opportunity to learn from their virtues."

Noem noted that this isn't happening by accident, but "deliberately" as a means to "discredit America's founding principles by discrediting the individuals who formed them so that America can be remade into a different political image." (Read more)

- Lord, we thank You for Governor Noem, to whom You have given wisdom and understanding of what is happening at this point in history.

"He changes times and seasons; he removes kings and sets up kings; he gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding." (Daniel 2:21)

9. Schiff Learned Of Russian 'Bounty' Intelligence In February, Withheld Information From Congress, And Took No Action - The Federalist

Top committee staff for Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), the chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, were briefed in February on intelligence about Russia offering the Taliban bounties in Afghanistan, but he took no action in response to the briefing, multiple intelligence sources familiar with the briefing told The Federalist. The intelligence was briefed to Schiff's staff during a congressional delegation, or CODEL, trip to Afghanistan in February.

Schiff, who has acknowledged President Donald Trump was never briefed on the so-called intelligence, has thus far refused to disclose that his staff was personally briefed. The revelation raises serious questions that Schiff is once again politicizing, and perhaps even deliberately misrepresenting, key data for partisan gain. (Read more)

- Lord, this man has lied to the American people and leaked information to the press for years, and his hatred for the President is openly seen. We bind up the hate in Adam Schiff, and command it to be silent in the Name of Jesus. If You cannot reach him with Your Love, we pray that he be removed from office.

"Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all offenses." (Proverbs 10:12)

10. Vladimir Putin Mocks Rainbow Pride Flag Flying over U.S. Embassy - Breitbart

Russian President Vladimir Putin has mocked the decision by U.S. officials to fly a rainbow pride flag over the embassy in Moscow, saying it "tells you something about the people who work there."

During a televised video conference on Friday, Putin was told that the American embassy had hung a rainbow flag on its facade for the first time to celebrate Pride Month in June.

"Who works in this building?" Putin asked the speaker, Sen. Alexei Pushkov, who responded, "Americans." "Let them celebrate. It tells you a certain something about the people who work there," Putin added with a smile.

That same day, Putin signed amendments to the Russian Constitution backed by a national vote that includes a clause defining marriage as the union of a man and a woman.

"It's no big deal though," the president said Friday. "We have spoken about this many times, and our position is clear," adding that Russia does not discriminate against people on the basis of sexual orientation.

"Yes, we passed a law banning the propaganda of homosexuality among minors. So what? Let people grow up, become adults and then decide their own destinies," he said.

He said, "Those who attack us on this basis are just trying to break down an open door."(Read more)

- Lord, we pray that whoever chose to place this flag on a government building would be shown the truth. We also pray that such activity would not be sanctioned by the United States.

"When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn." (Proverbs 29:2)

Independence Day: A time to pray and turn

There has been something I have been pondering for quite some time. I sense you are thinking about the same. The divisive state of our country. The visceral political division, the fact that most news is editorial opinion based on lies and half truths, the fact that people who have been friends for years have ended their friendships over these differences. We all have a lot of concerns about America, many of them are healed a little at the sight a young soldier in uniform opening a door for a senior citizen, or a young child helping someone across the street. These individual acts of kindness bolster my confidence that somewhere deep in the soul of America, the values that make us all Americans are still flickering.

But what concerns me are those who, for whatever reason, do not see that the sacrifice of those before us was made for the better gains we enjoy. A few years ago, I asked a group of children why we celebrate Independence Day. By and large their answers were "so we can see fireworks" or "so we can have hamburgers from the grill." They did not even know what Independence Day meant. Their guesses were anywhere from "celebrating God's freedom" to "my dad has a day off from work." Some of these children openly admitted they did not understand why they should stand and say the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag-seems like something silly to them.

Then there was the African American man who was upset with the wars in the Middle East. He told me it was better to abort these children than to let them grow up and force them to die in war. I asked him how many abortions there were in the United States each year. He didn't know. I told him there were over a million abortions a year and that during a three-year period there were 1,700 brave volunteer soldiers killed in Iraq. Another lady chimed in, "And that's supposed to make me feel good?" No, it's not. But it is supposed to demonstrate clearly the folly in denying a chance at life because kids are going to die anyway. Would he even understand that Planned Parenthood's founder, Margaret Sanger, wanted to end the entire African American race?

I pray these are not representative of the majority of our country. I am reminded of how often the Israelites turned away from God and judgment was pronounced upon them. Certainly, the condition of our nation is tied to the consequences of not adhering to God's law. We must take these things more seriously, especially as Christians. The Lord said in 2 Chronicles 7:14, "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." We do need to pray for our children and our nation. We need to seek the Lord's face and as a nation turn from wicked ways. As we celebrate independence, let us pray and talk to others about returning to the ancient paths laid by those righteous people before us.

All The Races Shall Praise Him Together

Classic Hymns

AND CAN IT BE THAT I SHOULD GAIN?

"The angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the prison: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, "Arise up quickly." And his chains fell off from his hands." (Acts 12:7)

Lyrics

And can it be that I should gain An interest in the Savior's blood? Died He for me, who caused His pain- For me, who Him to death pursued? Amazing love! How can it be, That Thou, my God, shouldst die for me? Amazing love! How can it be, That Thou, my God, shouldst die for me?

'Tis mystery all: th'Immortal dies: Who can explore His strange design? In vain the firstborn seraph tries To sound the depths of love divine. 'Tis mercy all! Let earth adore, Let angel minds inquire no more. 'Tis mercy all! Let earth adore; Let angel minds inquire no more.

He left His Father's throne above So free, so infinite His grace- Emptied Himself of all but love, And bled for Adam's helpless race: 'Tis mercy all, immense and free, For O my God, it found out me! 'Tis mercy all, immense and free, For O my God, it found out me!

Long my imprisoned spirit lay, Fast bound in sin and nature's night; Thine eye diffused a quickening ray- I woke, the dungeon flamed with light; My chains fell off, my heart was free, I rose, went forth, and followed Thee. My chains fell off, my heart was free, I rose, went forth, and followed Thee.

Still the small inward voice I hear, That whispers all my sins forgiven; Still the atoning blood is near, That quenched the wrath of hostile Heaven. I feel the life His wounds impart; I feel the Savior in my heart. I feel the life His wounds impart; I feel the Savior in my heart.

No condemnation now I dread; Jesus, and all in Him, is mine; Alive in Him, my living head, And clothed in righteousness divine, Bold I approach th'eternal throne, And claim the crown, through Christ my own. Bold I approach th'eternal throne, And claim the crown, through Christ my own.

China: Floods, Locusts, Hailstorms, Earthquakes, Swine Disease "as Prophesied by Ezekiel"

"I will pour out my anger upon Sin, the stronghold of Egypt, and I will destroy the wealth of No. I will set fire to Egypt; Sin shall writhe in anguish and No shall be torn apart; and Noph [shall face] adversaries in broad daylight ."(Ezekiel 30:15-16)

NEAR-NOAH SCALE FLOODS ENDANGER THREE GORGES DAM

33 days of consecutive rain in southwestern China have led to massive flooding and mudslides. While the Chinese government denies reports by experts that the huge Three Gorges Dam is in danger of collapse, they opened the floodgates, sending torrents of water to flood cities downstream from the world's largest hydroelectric plant.

Since June, more than 33 million people in 26 provinces have been affected by torrential rain, with many cities above and below the Three Gorges Dam submerged by floodwaters, calling into question the effectiveness and stability of the massive facility. More than 180 were killed and an additional 45 people are missing in the floods.

After initially denying the floodgates had been opened, claiming that the dam was making full efforts to "generate electricity," the Chinese government finally acknowledged that videos and images on social media were accurate in showing the floodgates releasing torrents of water for the first time this year.

The government acknowledged that the facility was actually performing an emergency flood discharge to alleviate the threat of collapse.

Officials warned residents downstream that they may be in danger of floodwaters if they live below the fourth floor in their buildings as water levels could allegedly reach over 600 feet.

German-Chinese hydrologist Wang Weiluo told Radio France Internationale on Monday the dam could collapse at any moment. Wang pointed out that the dam's design, construction, and quality inspection were all carried out by the same group of people and that the project was finished too quickly using substandard concrete.

An estimated 400 million people live downstream of the Three Gorges Dam. More than 40,000 people have so far been evacuated. (Breaking Israel News)

Thousands of Christians in Mexico on the Streets Praying for Healing, While Keeping COVID Social Distancing in Mind

"So, I am believing that instead of doing a Glory March, we are going to do many glory marches. But, this week we have to develop in our lives that we keep the healthy distance and that we learn to behave in this type of events." -Pastor Carlow Quiroa

Thousands of Mexican Christians assembled once again, praying on the streets for their country's healing.

The movement called "Marcha de Gloria" or March of Glory started way back [in] 1996. Mercedes Mendez received a vision from the Lord of His great outpouring and glory for their nation, Mexico. Since then, they would gather and march in the streets annually. According to their Facebook page, "It is a spiritual weapon in the hands of the King of kings to destroy the powers of the devil and proclaim the message of salvation." And they do this as a prophetic act to possess the inheritance that God has prepared for them.

But this year, the Marcha de Gloria observed their annual celebration with precautionary measures against the ongoing worldwide health crisis. The participants wore their masks and respected social distance between them. The pandemic did not stop them to come together in prayer. And instead of doing a once grandiose event, they decided to do many glory marches.

About Capitol Hill Prayer Partners

Our Mission Statement

Capitol Hill Prayer Partners (CHPP) is a ministry which is positioned on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., helping members of the Body of Christ to "pray for those in authority over us" in our federal government. Our primary purpose is to offer intercession on site for the members of Congress and their staffs each day that the Senate and the House of Representatives are in session; and our chief prayer focus is that "God's will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." [Matthew 6:10].

Because Jesus Christ has shed His blood for all, we, too, pray for ALL, in a nonpartisan manner. Also, because the scriptures indicate that "the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 4:17), we are confident that fervent prayer, offered in the halls of the highest chambers of government in our land, can avail much for America. Capitol Hill Prayer Partners welcomes those who feel called to join us, engaging in this strategic work of intercession for our nation: "For there is no power but of God; the powers that be are ordained of God." [Romans 13:1]
