Our prayer:
"Father God, we thank You for Your Word, which does not return void. As we meditate upon this Word of promise from you today, we are comforted knowing that You are, indeed, LORD of all three branches of our government: judicial, legislative, and executive -- the Supreme Court; the Congress, and the office of the President. We thank You, too, that the Founding Fathers gazed upon this Scripture when they wrote the Constitution, so that even today, our nation rests upon the truth of Isaiah 33:22.
But Father God, we also take note today that it is written that "You will save us." Hallelujah!
As we anchor ourselves in this truth today, we thank You that You have a plan in place that shall be seen in time, to rescue our nation from all enemies, foreign and domestic. We trust, O Lord, that in time, You WILL lead our ship of state through these troubled waters, to rest securely in the safe harbor of Your love.
Thank You, Lord, for the truth of Your Word, today and every day, amen.

1. Iran Threatens Gulf Countries Making Peace With Israel - Algemeiner
Iran is escalating threats toward the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Bahrain, after the United States helped broker peace deals between Israel and the two Gulf states.
"Any apparent or clandestine activity by the Israeli intelligence services or their agents in the Islamic Republic or the region, the response will not be directed at the Zionist entity only, and the UAE will be part of the response," said Iranian deputy House Speaker Hassan Abdel Lahian.
"Alliance with the Zionist regime will put the security of Bahrain and the Emirates at a greater risk than in the past," a September 13 statement from the Iranian parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission warned.
"The executioner ruler of Bahrain should await the harsh revenge of the Mujahideen (jihadist fighters) aiming to liberate Quds (Jerusalem) and the proud Muslim nation of this country," Iran's terrorist Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said in a statement.
2. UAE submits official request to open embassy in Tel Aviv - Jerusalem Post
The United Arab Emirates officially requested to open an embassy in Tel Aviv, during its first-ever government delegation's visit to Israel on Tuesday.
Members of the delegation gave Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi a letter from his UAE counterpart Abdullah Bin Zayed.
The Emirati Foreign Minister said he "appreciate[s] the efforts you are making to promote cooperation between our countries and I have full faith in your unreserved support for opening diplomatic missions in Tel Aviv and Abu Dhabi as quickly as possible.
"Best wishes to both countries and both friendly nations for advancement and prosperity in the future," Bin Zayed wrote in Arabic.
3. IDF uncovers Gaza terror tunnel - Israel National News
The IDF has identified a terrorist attack tunnel which infiltrated into Israeli territory from the southern Gaza Strip, the military announced Tuesday evening.
An IDF spokesperson said that the tunnel was located and exposed in the Khan Yunis area.
The route was located as part of the ongoing effort to locate and neutralize terrorist tunnels. It was found thanks to the technological and collection capabilities of the barrier on the Gaza Strip border. The tunnel did not cross the underground barrier and did not pose a threat to localities in the area yet.
The IDF had been searching the area following indications that an underground tunnel was being constructed there and today the tunnel was located,
The IDF stated that "the terrorist organization Hamas bears responsibility for what is happening in and out of the Gaza Strip and will bear the consequences of terrorist acts against Israeli citizens."
4. Iron Dome Anti-Missile Fighters Intercept Rocket from Gaza - Jewish Press
Iron Dome anti-missile defense fighters intercepted at least one rocket from Gaza at around 9 pm Tuesday night.
The Red Alert incoming rocket siren was triggered in the communities of Nahal Oz, Kfar Aza and Sa'ad, sending families racing for bomb shelters with less than 15 seconds' warning to reach safety before impact.
Earlier in the day, a new Hamas terror tunnel that had reached "dozens of meters into Israeli territory" was exposed by the IDF and destroyed.
5. Corona Czar Gamzu: We'll Shorten Isolation to 12 Days by Testing on Day 10- Jewish Press
During Monday's meeting of the Knesset Labor, Welfare and Health Committee, Israel's Corona Czar Professor Ronni Gamzu announced that the period of isolation will soon be shortened to 12 days, "using a test that will be performed after 10 days."
Committee Chairman MK Haim Katz (Likud) welcomed the news, saying, "Every day of isolation has a direct impact on the economy," and "if you can save on isolation days - you can do improve the economy."
Prof. Gamzu said the current reproduction number of the coronavirus in Israel "during a second lockdown with a weary population" is 0.6. "Reaching this reproduction number is a badge of honor for all the sectors in the State of Israel," Gamzu stated.
6. 'That general is part of my family': How White House official's rescue mission was key to UAE-Israel peace deal - Washington Examiner
A U.S. rescue mission that saved the lives of Emirati soldiers and retrieved a member of the royal family paved the way to the historic pact between Israel and the United Arab Emirates, according to a new report.
"That general is part of my family," Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, a top Emirati diplomat, told President Trump before the signing ceremony for the Abraham Accords.
The foreign minister was gesturing at Miguel Correa, the Army general who oversees the White House National Security Council's policy team for the Gulf. The envoy's comment underscored the degree to which Correa's background as a military official helped orchestrate the rescue of the Emirati prince.
"The truth is, for the Abraham Accords to have materialized, there was a very much-needed element of trust, and we had that trust with Miguel Correa and the White House," UAE ambassador to the U.S. Yousef Otaiba told the Wall Street Journal. "A pretty big leap of faith was required from all sides for this to happen.

1. Pfizer Says It Could Seek Emergency Use Authorization for COVID Vaccine Next Month - CBN
The pharmaceutical giant Pfizer announced Friday it could seek an emergency authorization for a COVID-19 vaccine as soon as the end of November.
While the development of a vaccine for the novel coronavirus has moved at a historically fast pace, it is all but guaranteed the treatment won't come before the Nov. 3 election, an ambitious goal set by President Donald Trump. Nevertheless, the vaccine has come together at breakneck speed.
In a statement released Friday, Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla said the leading drug manufacturer could know if its vaccine is effective by the end of October.
Bourla said Pfizer is "operating at the speed of science." He then outlined the process the company is going through to develop the vaccine.
"First, the vaccine must be proven effective, meaning it can help prevent COVID-19 disease in at least a majority of vaccinated patients," he explained, adding the treatment must also be "proven safe with robust safety data generated from thousands of patients" and be capable of being "consistently manufactured at the highest quality standards."(Read more)

2. Debate commission says it will mute Trump, Biden while opponent talks - Fox News
The Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD) will mute President Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden during the two-minute response times allotted to their opponents for commenting on topics during Thursday's debate in Nashville.
The commission said in a statement that it "had determined that it is appropriate to adopt measures intended to promote adherence to agreed-upon rules and inappropriate to make changes to those rules."
Also included in the debate will be an open discussion forum that won't include the mute option. Thursday's debate will consist of six 15-minute segments, totaling 90 minutes in all as in the first debate.

3. Trump campaign cries foul over change in third debate focus from foreign policy - Washington Examiner
President Trump's reelection campaign is challenging a decision by Thursday's presidential debate organizers to focus the discussion on a wider array of topics than initially agreed, charging the decision is "solely to insulate Biden from his own history."
In a tweet Monday, Trump 2020 campaign manager Bill Stepien published a letter addressed to the Commission on Presidential Debates calling for Thursday's event to focus on foreign policy in line with "long-standing custom, and as had been promised" by the commission.
The debate "was always billed as the 'Foreign Policy Debate' in the series of events agreed to by both the Trump campaign and Biden campaign many months ago," Stepien's letter reads. "We urge you to recalibrate the topics and return to subjects which had already been confirmed."
Third presidential debates have focused on foreign policy historically.
Announced Friday, the topics include, "Fighting COVID-19," "American Families," "Race in America," "Climate Change," National Security," and "Leadership." (Read more)

4. U.S. blacklists Chinese entities, individuals for dealing with Iran - Reuters
The United States on Monday said it blacklisted two Chinese men and six Chinese entities for having dealt with Iranian shipping company Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines (IRISL) and, in some cases, helping it to evade U.S. sanctions.
The U.S. State Department named the entities as Reach Holding Group (Shanghai) Company Ltd.; Reach Shipping Lines; Delight Shipping Co., Ltd.; Gracious Shipping Co. Ltd.; Noble Shipping Co. Ltd.; and Supreme Shipping Co. Ltd.
In a statement, it also said it had targeted Eric Chen, also known as Chen Guoping, chief executive of Reach Holding Group (Shanghai) Company Ltd., and Daniel Y. He, also known as He Yi, the company's president.
As a result of being put on the U.S. Treasury Department's Specially Designated Nationals list, the assets of the entities and individuals falling under U.S. jurisdiction are frozen and U.S. persons are generally barred from dealing with them.
"Today, we reiterate a warning to stakeholders worldwide: If you do business with IRISL, you risk U.S. sanctions," Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said in the statement. (Read more)

5. China deploys DF-17 hypersonic missiles across from Taiwan to prepare for invasion - Taiwan News
TAIPEI (Taiwan News) - China has reportedly deployed new hypersonic missiles across from Taiwan as it marshals forces in preparation for a future invasion.
On Sunday (Oct. 18), the South China Morning Post, which is owned by Alibaba Group, cited an anonymous military source as saying that China's most advanced hypersonic missile, the DF-17, is being deployed to People's Liberation Army (PLA) bases in the provinces of Fujian and Zhejiang, which sit right across from Taiwan. The deployment of the missiles is part of a PLA pattern of a beefing up of its forces along the coast of China in what some analysts are saying are preparations for an invasion of Taiwan.
According to the unnamed source, "The DF-17 hypersonic missile will gradually replace the old DF-11s and DF-15s that were deployed in the southeast region for decades." The source added that, "The new missile has a longer range and is able to hit targets more accurately."
Chang added that the Russian-made S-400 Triumf air-defense system is being deployed at bases in southeast China, claiming that the system can cover "the whole of Taiwan." He then alleged that the system is "able to shoot Taiwanese military aircraft once they take off." (Read more)

6. Iran To Import North Korean missiles In 25-Year Military Deal With China - OilPrice.com
Following the end on the 18th of October of the 13-year United Nations' embargo on Iran buying or selling weapons, the roll-out of the military component of the 25-year deal between China and Iran will begin in November, as exclusively revealed by Oil Price.com. After a series of meetings in China on the 9th and 10th of October between Iran's Foreign Minister, Mohammad Zarif, and his China counterpart, Wang Yi, this military component may now also feature the deployment in Iran of North Korean weaponry and technology, in exchange for oil, according to sources very close to the Iranian government spoken to by OilPrice.com last week.
This sort of co-ordination - between North Korea and Iran and also between North Korea, Iran, and China - is nothing new, although its resumption at such a scale and in such products is. According to a number of defence industry sources - and recorded in various 'Jane's Intelligence Reviews' (JIR) - over the first five-year period from the onset of Iran's ballistic missile program in 1987, Iran bought up to 300 Scud B missiles from North Korea.
Pyongyang, though, did not just sell Iran weapons but it was also instrumental in helping Iran to build-out the infrastructure for what has become an extremely high-level ballistic missile program, beginning with the creation in Iran of a Scud B missile plant that became operational by the end of 1988. 7. Bipartisan breakthrough as Nadler hails Trump DOJ's Google antitrust lawsuit - Washington Times
The Trump administration Tuesday got some rare praise from one of its fiercest critics when House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler voiced his support for the Justice Department's antitrust lawsuit against Google.
"There is bipartisan agreement in Congress and among federal and state antitrust enforcers that protecting competition and innovation online is essential to our economy. Today's antitrust lawsuit against Google is an important step for ensuring a competitive online space," Mr. Nadler, New York Democrat, said in a statement.
Mr. Nadler's remarks come hours after the Justice Department and 11 states filed an antitrust lawsuit against the tech giant, alleging it uses its search engine results to stifle competition while reaping hundreds of millions of dollars in advertising revenue.
On Tuesday, Mr. Nadler reaffirmed support for such measures. "I said throughout the House investigation of digital markets, the antitrust laws are a critical bulwark against concentrations of economic power, and robust enforcement of the antitrust laws is paramount for safeguarding both a healthy economy and vibrant democracy," he said in a statement. - Precious Lord, we are encouraged to hear of this Democrat's endorsement of AG Barr's action against Google. We pray that there will be more times that Democrats and Republicans will be able to find common ground for their policies. We pray for success for this lawsuit so that Google may be a more truthful tool for the public to use. Lord, do a work in the leaders of this company so that they become impartial individuals with renewed minds.

8. Grassley: Congress 'Can't Wait' on Pelosi, White House to Agree on Stimulus Package - The Epoch Times
Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), the upper chamber's President Pro Tempore, said the Senate cannot wait until the White House and House Democrats come to an agreement on CCP virus relief.
Last week, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) announced the GOP would attempt to pass several stimulus spending measures smaller than what either the Trump administration or House Democrats are proposing.
Grassley, the chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, told Fox News on Tuesday that GOP senators are "tired of negotiations and ups and downs between" the White House and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.). "So we've decided to move ahead on what we agree on," he added.
"There [are] a lot of things . . . that have bipartisan agreement" in Congress to "try and get something rolling," Grassley said. (Read more)

9. Trump Urges AG Barr to 'Act Fast' to Probe Hunter Biden Business Dealings - The Epoch Times
President Donald Trump pressured Attorney General William Barr to investigate the son of Democratic nominee Joe Biden, saying the information should be released before Nov. 3.
"We have got to get the attorney general to act. He's got to act and he's got to act fast," Trump told Fox News on Tuesday morning, referring to a New York Post report about Hunter Biden's business dealings in Ukraine and China. Later, he said Barr should handle the matter.
"He's gotta appoint somebody," the president said. "This is major corruption and this has to be known about before the election."

10. 'You're a criminal for not reporting it': Trump takes aim at the media's lack of coverage on alleged Hunter Biden emails - Washington Examiner
President Trump called the lack of coverage on Hunter Biden's alleged computer scandal "criminal" while speaking to reporters.
The president, while in Phoenix on Monday, was asked why his "campaign strategy seems to be to call Biden a criminal."
"You're a criminal for not reporting it. Joe Biden is a criminal, and he's been a criminal for a long time, and you're a criminal in the media for not reporting it," he responded. (Read more)

The Media's Biden-Trump Shell Game
Independent sources have alleged that as Vice President Joe Biden used his position in an abuse of power influence peddling scheme with his son Hunter to enrich the Biden family and friends. The mainstream news media has essentially passed on the story that includes documentation from Hunter's computer, emails from Hunter's former business partner who is serving time in prison for the dealings, and yet another source-the US Senate committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs and the Senate Committee on Finance. The mainstream news media, led by the New York Times, has, however, countered with stories saying President Trump is doing the same thing. Don't fall for it.
The New York Times points out that President Trump's tax records indicate that he has bank accounts in China, Britain and Ireland, which he has failed to list on public financial disclosures where he is required to list personal assets. Now this sounds like the president is doing something wrong, especially when the headlines coming out of the story imply that Trump has secret bank accounts in China. The accounts are not listed because they are held under corporate names. The Times reports that the Chinese account is controlled by Trump International Hotels Management L.L.C., which paid $188,561 in taxes in China while "pursuing licensing deals there from 2013 to 2015." This was before Trump ran for election.
DNYUZ.com twists the story as has other leftist media outlets, reporting: "President Trump and his allies have tried to paint the Democratic nominee, Joseph R. Biden Jr., as soft on China, in part by pointing to his son's business dealings there. Senate Republicans produced a report asserting, among other things, that Mr. Biden's son Hunter "opened a bank account" with a Chinese businessman, part of what it said were his numerous connections to "foreign nationals and foreign governments across the globe." But Mr. Trump's own business history is filled with overseas financial deals, and some have involved the Chinese state. He spent a decade unsuccessfully pursuing projects in China, operating an office there during his first run for president and forging a partnership with a major government-controlled company."
Trump's companies historically have conducted legitimate business internationally, including in Russia and China, among other countries. They pay taxes. They report according to requirements. The Biden's, however, reportedly have done their business through bribes, making countries pay for access to the White House and other government officials, threatening to withhold foreign aid, and appear to be involved in drug and human trafficking. There is no moral equivalence to the media's comparison of Biden and Trump. Absolutely none. They seek to deceive you into believing there is. As in Romans 16:18, "For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own appetites; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the unsuspecting." Don't be deceived by the media's Biden-Trump shell game.

Our Mission Statement
Capitol Hill Prayer Partners (CHPP) is a ministry which is positioned on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., helping members of the Body of Christ to "pray for those in authority over us" in our federal government. Our primary purpose is to offer intercession on site for the members of Congress and their staffs each day that the Senate and the House of Representatives are in session; and our chief prayer focus is that "God's will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." [Matthew 6:10].
Because Jesus Christ has shed His blood for all, we, too, pray for ALL, in a nonpartisan manner. Also, because the scriptures indicate that "the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 4:17), we are confident that fervent prayer, offered in the halls of the highest chambers of government in our land, can avail much for America. Capitol Hill Prayer Partners welcomes those who feel called to join us, engaging in this strategic work of intercession for our nation: "For there is no power but of God; the powers that be are ordained of God."
