Laying Siege Over the Elections

Laying Siege Over the Election:

Monday, October 19, 2020

Today is Day 15 of 21 Days

Our verse to claim for today:

2 TIMOTHY 1:7 (NKJV)

It is written: "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind."

Our prayer:

Father God, in these perilous times, it is so easy to fall into a spirit of fear -- even into panic -- as we see these things coming to pass. Lord God, we repent of "caving in" to that spirit, which is from the enemy of our souls. We ask for an extra measure of Your grace to rest upon us, that we might remain ever watchful over our minds; be quick to identify those thoughts and to repent and to cast them out immediately; and to turn to You for forgiveness, cleansing and renewal.

Thank You, O Lord, for hearing our prayer today, in Your name we pray, amen.

> > > Second verse to decree today:

It is written: "For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, "Abba! Father!" (Romans 8:15)

Focus on Israel

drawnear.jpg

1. Israel settlement plans draw international condemnation - Israel Hayom

Israeli plans to advance the building of thousands of homes in Judea and Samaria drew European condemnation on Friday as approvals for constructions hit a record high in 2020.

The European countries warned the building perpetuates the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and further threatens the viability of a two-state solution. The warning came after Israel on Thursday pressed forward on plans for more than 3,000 settlement homes.

The Palestinians claim all of the West Bank, seized by Israel in the 1967 Mideast war, as part of a future independent state. They say the growing settler population, approaching 500,000, has made it increasingly difficult to achieve their dream of independence.

"We are deeply concerned by the decision taken by the Israeli authorities to advance more than 4,900 settlement building units in the occupied West Bank," said a joint statement by foreign ministry spokespersons of Britain, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain.

2. Settler leader: Likud must rid itself of Netanyahu - Jerusalem Post

The Likud Party must rid itself of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Yesha Council head David Elhayani told the Knesset Channel on Thursday.

"The time has come to replace Netanyahu," he said.

Elhayani spoke on the day that the Knesset was scheduled to ratify the historic peace deal between Israel and the United Arab Emirates.

He also spoke as the Higher Planning Council for Judea and Samaria advanced plans for close to 5,000 homes.

3. Gantz threatens to pass bill that would end Netanyahu's career - Jerusalem Post

Blue and White raised its threat against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on the weekend, warning that if he does not enable the passage of the 2021 state budget by the end of the year, it would propose the so-called anti-Bibi bill.

The bill would prevent anyone charged with serious crimes from forming a government, including Netanyahu, who is on trial for fraud, bribery and breach of trust. The bill was first presented in August but was defeated, as it did not have Blue and White's support.

But if Blue and White now votes for the bill, it could gain a majority of 61 MKs that would include Blue and White, Yesh Atid, the Joint List, Yisrael Beytenu, Meretz and Labor. A minority of 59 MKs from Likud, Shas, United Torah Judaism, Yamina, Gesher and Bayit Yehudi would oppose it.

4. Landing in Bahrain to sign deal, Israeli official stresses 'genuine peace' hopes - Times of Israel

A joint US-Israeli delegation arrived in Bahrain Sunday afternoon to sign a series of bilateral agreements between Jerusalem and Manama, including a so-called Joint Communiqué that will formally establish diplomatic relations between the two countries.

El Al Flight 973 - a nod to Bahrain's country code - landed in Manama after taking off from Ben Gurion Airport in the first-ever nonstop passenger flight from Israel to the Gulf kingdom.

Bahraini Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani welcomed the joint US-Israeli delegation at the airport.

During a ceremony held on the tarmac, Israel's National Security Adviser Meir Ben-Shabbat said in Arabic that Israel "extends its hands for genuine peace with the Bahraini people."

5. 'Giant steps': Netanyahu hails 7 agreements signed in Bahrain - World Israel News

On Sunday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke by telephone with Bahraini Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani and U.S. Secretary of the Treasury Steven Mnuchin ahead of the signing in Bahrain of seven memorandums of understanding (MOUs) between Israel and Bahrain.

Netanyahu "welcomed the signing" and said Israel and Bahrain "are making giant steps toward peace."

The prime minister also "welcomed the first flight from Israel to Bahrain, which landed today, and said that it was a continuation of the breakthrough toward peace," said an official statement from Netanyahu's office.

Earlier i the day, a high-level delegation of American and Israeli officials landed in Bahrain to cement agreements to establish formal diplomatic relations between Israel and the Gulf Arab state.

The Daily Brief

1. Supreme Court agrees to hear key cases on Trump immigration policies - Fox News

The Supreme Court announced Monday that it will hear two key cases related to President Trump's immigration policies.

One case involves funding for the wall being constructed on the U.S.-Mexico border, and the other deals with the Trump administration's "remain in Mexico" asylum policy. (Read more)

- Lord God, we awaken this morning to see this good news from the Supreme Court. We thank You that our President's policies on these two issues (immigration and the wall) will be decided in his favor, so that President Trump's single agenda, to make America great and strong again, will go forward, unhindered. In Your Name, amen.

"You will also decree a thing, and it will be established for you; And light will shine on your ways." (Job 22:28)

2. U.S. Supreme Court to hear Trump bid to exclude illegal immigrants from representation - Reuters

The U.S. Supreme Court on Friday agreed to hear oral arguments over President Donald Trump's effort to exclude illegal immigrants from the population totals used to allocate congressional districts to states. The court, likely to soon have a 6-3 conservative majority if the Republican-controlled Senate confirms Trump nominee Amy Coney Barrett, will hear the case on Nov. 30.

The challengers to Trump's July directive, including various states led by New York, cities, counties and immigrant rights groups, said it could leave several million people uncounted and likely cause California, Texas and New Jersey to lose seats in the U.S. House of Representatives. Trump "seeks to reallocate political power among the states and to weaken the political influence of states with larger populations of undocumented immigrants," the challengers said in a court filing. They alleged the policy could also deter people from participating in the census and argue that it violates both the Constitution and the Census Act, a federal law that outlines how the census is conducted.

A three-judge panel ruled against the administration in September.

The Supreme Court on Oct. 14 allowed the Trump administration to wind down population counting for the census early in a blow to civil rights advocates who said it could lead to an undercount of racial minorities.

Efforts to get an accurate census count have been hindered by the coronavirus pandemic, which has limited the ability of workers to follow up in person with those who did not fill out the survey. The census data is also used to allocate billions of dollars a year in federal funding. (Read more)

- Father God, we pray that You take control of this issue and only legal citizens of the United States be counted. Bring all this in complete agreement with the Constitution. We pray in the Name of Jesus.

"And the Lord shall utter His voice before his army: for His camp is very great; for He is strong that executes His Word: for the day of the Lord is great and very terrible, and who can abide it?" (Joel 2:11)

3. Amy Coney Barrett: The likely confirmation schedule for the Supreme Court nominee - Fox News

Here is the likely timetable for the prospective confirmation of Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court.

As is custom, the committee is holding the nomination over for a week. The Senate Judiciary Committee will again meet to consider Barrett's nomination at 1 pm ET on Thursday, Oct. 22.

The committee will vote to send the nomination to the floor (technically the "calendar," but that's another story). A nominee does not have to have a "favorable" recommendation from the committee to go to the floor. Robert Bork received an "unfavorable" recommendation from the committee in 1987 (and was defeated on the floor). Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas was sent to the floor with "no recommendation" in 1991 before being confirmed.

The committee will need a simple majority vote to advance the nomination to the full Senate.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., announced earlier this week that he would put the nomination on the floor on Friday, Oct. 23.

Here's where it gets a little tricky. . . (Read more -- very tricky and complex, indeed!)

- Father God, we pray Your hand guides every step of this confirmation schedule. We pray You bless the committee with a simple majority vote to advance the nomination to the full Senate. Cover every mind with the Blood of Jesus and they hear only God's perfect will. In the Name of Jesus we pray.

"Behold, the Lord God will come with strong hand, and His arm shall rule for Him: behold, His reward is with Him, and His work before Him." (Isaiah 40:10)

4. Biden will 'make clear' his position on court packing when Senate votes on Amy Coney Barrett - Fox News

Democratic nominee Joe Biden said Friday he will "make clear" his position on adding justices to the Supreme Court when the Senate votes on the nomination of Amy Coney Barrett. "I'm going to make clear my position in the next several days when they vote on this nominee, but I've got to keep the focus on that," he said in an interview with Fox 2 Detroit. He later said that "when the [Senate Judiciary] Committee makes the decision, and the vote begins to occur, that's when I'll let you know my position."

Biden suggested Republicans were "packing the court" by filling the vacancy left by the death of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg with Barrett . . . Democrats have said Republicans are rushing through the pick too close to Election Day, with millions of Americans already voting.

"Court packing" is not normally used to refer to filling vacancies, although a number of Democrats have attempted to use that term to describe the process in recent weeks. Instead, it has traditionally referred to potential politically motivated plans to expand the number of justices on the court. (Read more)

- Father God, we pray Your hand comes over the Democrats and stop them from misusing the act of court packing. Bind under the Blood of Jesus any insidious strategies proposed by the Democrats. Raise the pure actions of court procedure, as God would order it. We pray in Jesus' Name.

"The glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the Lord has spoken it." (Isaiah 40:5)

5. Judge orders DOJ to find out if Trump's declassification tweets mean entire Mueller report should be released - Washington Examiner

A federal judge ordered the Justice Department to get an answer directly from President Trump about whether recent tweets and statements by him constituted orders to declassify, unredact, and make public special counsel Robert Mueller's entire report along with all of the FBI interviews connected to that investigation.

Judge Reggie Walton, who has critiqued Attorney General William Barr's handling of the Mueller report in the past but also upheld redactions in it, issued that order during a Friday teleconference following an emergency motion filed by BuzzFeed with the district court. The outlet is seeking access to the entire April 2019 report on Russian interference in the 2016 election and unproven claims of Trump-Russia collusion in a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit.

The Justice Department had told Walton it had conferred with the White House counsel's office about Trump's tweets and that the White House said Trump's pronouncements did not constitute specific declassification orders - but the judge said Friday he wanted an answer by next Wednesday from Trump himself about that.

"I have fully authorized the total Declassification of any & all documents pertaining to the single greatest political CRIME in American History, the Russia Hoax. Likewise, the Hillary Clinton Email Scandal. No redactions!" Trump tweeted Oct. 6, adding that "all Russia Hoax Scandal information was Declassified by me long ago. Unfortunately for our Country, people have acted very slowly, especially since it is perhaps the biggest political crime in the history of our Country. Act!!!"  (Read more)

- Father God, we pray that Judge Walton will agree to uphold declassification of any and all documents pertaining to the single greatest political crime in American History, the Russia Hoax. We pray in the Name of Jesus.

"Then shall you do unto them as they had thought to have done unto his brother; so shall you put the evil away from among you." (Deuteronomy 19:19)

6. Giuliani Details Steps Taken to Authenticate Hunter Biden Material - The Epoch Times

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani says he spent three weeks authenticating the materials on a copy of a hard drive that once allegedly belonged to Hunter Biden, the son of Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden. The contents of the drive are the subject of a series of explosive reports by the New York Post that shed further light on Hunter Biden's dealings with China and Ukraine.

Giuliani, President Donald Trump's personal attorney, told The Epoch Times that he and his attorney, Robert Costello, checked some of the written notes in the drive against samples of Hunter Biden's handwriting, matched details about undisclosed meetings with confidential information they had already obtained from other sources, and verified the email addresses in the data trove, among other steps. Giuliani said the drive contains roughly 800 of Hunter Biden's personal photos, including some which Giuliani alleges show illegal acts. The Epoch Times could not independently verify the claim as Giuliani declined to provide a copy of the files.

Costello allegedly received a copy of the hard drive in August from the owner of a Mac repair shop in Wilmington, Delaware, and handed it to Giuliani three weeks ago, according to the former mayor. Trump's former chief strategist, Stephen Bannon, negotiated an exclusive deal with the Post and Giuliani handed a copy of the drive over to the newspaper on Oct. 10. The Post conducted its own authentication effort, Giuliani said. The exclusive deal with the Post gave the newspaper a head start on covering the material but allows Giuliani to eventually begin disclosing the material to other media, the former mayor said. (Read more)

- Father God, today we lift up the former mayor of New York City, Rudy Giuliani, as he takes steps to authenticate the facts that are now swirling around this case. Lord God, we ask that You grace Mr. Giuliani with Your wisdom, Your strength, and Your courage as he pursues truth in this complex matter. Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer, amen.

- "Deliver me, O Lord, from the evil man: preserve me from the violent man: which imagine mischief in their heart, continually are they gathered together for war. They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent; adders poison is under their lips. " (Psalm 140:1-3)

7. McConnell sets Wednesday vote for $500B COVID relief bill - Fox News

The bill is far more targeted than the White House's $1.8 trillion relief measure

Sen. Majority Leader Mitch McConnell on Saturday detailed a $500 billion "skinny" coronavirus relief bill that he said the Senate will vote on this Wednesday.

The bill, far more targeted than the White House's $1.8 trillion relief measure, will expand federal unemployment benefits, replenish the Paycheck Protection Program, provide over $100 billion to schools and fund vaccine production and distribution as well as testing and tracing.

McConnell said that barring any obstruction from Democrats, the Senate would vote on the measure before turning to vote on Judge Amy Coney Barrett's confirmation to the Supreme Court.

He'd need 60 votes to move the bill through the Senate. Democrats previously blocked a similar bill. (Read more)

- Father in heaven, we commit all these deceitful maneuvers of the Democrats under the Blood of Jesus and pray You guide President Trump to see into the core of this issue. Shine the glory light of the Lord all around him. We pray in the Name of Jesus.

"The Lord your God in the midst of you is mighty; He will save, He will rejoice over you with joy: He will rest in His love, He will joy over you with singing."
(Zephaniah 3:17)

8. Trump Offering More Than $1.8T COVID Relief But 'It Would Go to the Worker' - CNSNews.com

President Donald Trump said Thursday that he's prepared to go higher than the $1.8 trillion in coronavirus relief that he offered to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and she turned down. He said he told Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin to offer more but "so far he hasn't come home with the bacon."

In an interview with Fox Business' "Varney" show, the president was asked how much higher he would go than the $1.8 trillion, and he said, "I would. We like stimulus. We want stimulus. We think we should have stimulus, because it was China's fault. It was not the American workers fault or the American people." When asked why not just go with Pelosi's $2.2 trillion Heroes Act, Trump said, "Because she is asking for all sorts of goodies. She wants to bail out badly-run Democrat states and cities. She wants money for things that you would never-- your pride couldn't let it happen. Should be COVID-related."

The president said that extra money above $1.8 trillion should go to the people directly. "It would go to the worker. It would go to the people, directly to the people, so they can live nicely and their lives won't be shattered because of China," he said. When asked if he's told the treasury secretary to offer more than $1.8 trillion, Trump said, "I've told him. So far he hasn't come home with the bacon." (Read more)

- Lord God, our CHPP network thanks You that You have given us a president who has a kind and a generous heart. We ask that he be shown favor in Congress so that, in the end, legislation will be passed to meet the needs of our people who have been suffering economic loss due to the virus. In Your Name, amen.

- "Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven. For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst." (Matthew 18: 19,20)

9. Trump promises speedy vaccine in appeal to seniors - The Hill

President Trump appealed to American seniors on Friday by touting his administration's effort to swiftly deliver a vaccine for the novel coronavirus, announcing a new public-private partnership to deliver a possible vaccine to senior citizens free of cost. During a speech in Fort Myers, Fla., Trump announced that his administration would partner with CVS and Walgreens to immediately deliver a vaccine directly to nursing homes at no cost to their residents. Trump delivered the remarks to a crowd of a few hundred people.

The president defended his administration's response to the pandemic, which has killed more than 218,000 in America and disproportionately impacted the senior population, and pledged to have 100 million doses of a vaccine available by the end of the year or sooner. He said seniors would be "first in line for the vaccine." "I am deeply aware that America's 54 million seniors have borne the heaviest burden of the China virus," Trump told an audience at the Caloosa Sound Convention Center & Amphitheater, referring to the coronavirus. "Many older Americans have endured months of isolation, missing weddings, birthdays, graduations, church and family reunions." "My message to America's seniors today is one of optimism, confidence and hope. Your sacrifice has not been in vain. The light at the need of the tunnel is near. We are rounding the turn," he continued. (Read more)

- Lord God, once again we thank You for President Trump, who clearly has a kind and a generous heart, and who truly wants to help these seniors -- most of whom yet remain in quarantine due to COVID. We thank You that, as he has promised, so it shall be done. In Your Name, amen.

- "You can be sure that God will take care of everything you need, his generosity exceeding even yours in the glory that pours from Jesus. Our God and Father abounds in glory that just pours out into eternity. Yes." (Philippians 4:19; The Message)

10. Mortgage rates hit 10th record low of 2020, further fueling the US housing market's boom - Markets Insider

For the 10th time this year, mortgage rates hit a record low.

The average 30-year fixed mortgage rate fell to 2.81% from 2.87% last week, Freddie Mac said on Thursday, adding that the reading was the lowest in data going back nearly 50 years. The last record low was 2.86% in early September.

The streak of new mortgage-rate lows is unlikely to stop anytime soon. The Federal Reserve indicated in September that its benchmark interest rate would likely remain near zero through 2024, limiting a climb in home-loan rates.

The historically low borrowing costs have fueled a housing-market surge despite the broader economic turmoil. Sales of new homes have rallied - so much so that just 3.3 months of supply is left should the pace hold steady, the shortest period in data going back to 1963, according to the Census Bureau.

Existing-home sales have trended similarly. Though the housing market presents a bright spot in the struggling US economy, the supply shortage has lifted prices and may soon force some Americans to delay homeownership.

"As we hit yet another record low, the tenth record this year, many people are benefitting as refinance activity remains strong," said Sam Khater, Freddie Mac's chief economist. "However, it's important to remember that not all people are able to take advantage of low rates given the effects of the pandemic." (Read more)

- Father in heaven, we pray the blessings of home ownership will continue to allow people to take advantage of this surge and the supply of homes will increase. In the Name of Jesus we pray.

"If then God so clothe the grass, which is today in the field, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, how much more will He clothe you, O you of little faith." (Luke 12:28)

The Hidden Biden Scandal

Democratic Presidential candidate Joe Biden has been accused of using his office of Vice President to enrich his son Hunter and other family members Hunter's laptop provided the smoking gun evidence, but there is now another source with even more dark dealings. The mainstream news media is reluctant to cover the story because it doesn't fit the narrative of the man the media wants to be president. In fact, the news media has abrogated its responsibility to cover the news by informing America of the facts surrounding this abuse of power and network of shady business dealings. And they are letting Joe Biden off the hook by allowing him to not answer questions about these unethical and possibly illegal dealings.

Breitbart News reports: "Joe Biden is still refusing to discuss an exposé by the New York Post alleging the former vice president's youngest son, Hunter, leveraged his ties to the Obama administration for the benefit of a Ukrainian natural gas conglomerate. The Democrat nominee, who has long struggled to explain his son's overseas business deals, was asked about the story during a campaign swing through North Carolina on Sunday. Biden, in particular, was asked by a reporter if he had any comment about revelations that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) had seized Hunter's laptop last year via subpoena . . . the Democrat nominee refused to even listen to the reporter's question, opting to walk away as soon as the reporter mentions the word "FBI."

The plot thickens. Breitbart News senior contributor Peter Schweizer said Hunter Biden's former business partner Bevan Cooney provided 26,000 emails to him. Cooney is currently serving a sentence in federal prison due to financial deals he made connected to Hunter Biden and his other partner Devon Archer. Archer, also convicted by a federal jury, awaits sentencing. Cooney provided Schweizer written authorization to access his Gmail account because Cooney believes he was the "fall guy" for the Biden family's corruption and that he believes the public needs to know. The first Breitbart article from the emails detailed how Hunter Biden and his partners secured meetings with senior White House officials in November 2011 for Chinese Communist elites-including a secret meeting with then-Vice President Joe Biden himself.

Breitbart reports, "The Biden campaign has not responded to requests for comment about this from Breitbart News." This is a page out of the Hillary Clinton playbook: deny, deny, deny, then don't respond, then accuses others of a conspiracy. This looks strangely familiar to 2016. While Clinton was accusing Donald Trump of shady business deals with Russia, she and her cronies were actually doing them, now the same with Biden on Russia, China and Ukraine. This Hidden Biden Scandal is organized crime. People need to know about it. Let us pray Mark 4:22 over this situation, "For there is nothing hidden which will not be revealed, nor has anything been kept secret but that it should come to light." Tell everyone you know.
