Laying Siege over the Election Results:

Thursday, November 5, 2020

Today's Topic:

PRAISING HIM! (Part One)

Our verse to claim for today:

PSALM 150:6 (KJV)

It is written:

"Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD!"

Let's face it: in these troubled times, the last thing most of us want to do is to worship and praise the Lord. Our hearts are given to sadness . . . trying to not lose hope.

But guess what? Scripture commands that we praise Him anyway! Indeed, this is called the "sacrifice of praise" . . . praising Him when we don't feel like it. Scripture even states that this is the sweetest aroma that reaches His Throne: to praise Him, no matter what!

"Through Jesus, then, let us keep offering to God our own sacrifice, the praise of lips that confess His name without ceasing." (Hebrews 13:15, The VOICE)

As we enter into PRAISE, "no matter what," our Spirit comes alive, and our hearts are filled with JOY! So, today we thank our God for the gift of PRAISE!

Our Prayer:

"Father God, today we ask You for the gift of PRAISE. We ask you, Holy One and Rabbi of our souls, to please nudge us when we feel "down," reminding us gently to just begin to praise You. Lord God, even if we can only sing the words to that children's hymn . . . Jesus loves me, this I know . . . we trust that You will meet us in that place and begin to fill us with Your JOY. We ask this in Your name, amen.

> > > Next: PRAISING HIM - Part Two:

What happens to our enemies when we praise Him!

Focus on Israel

1. PA security officer opens fire on IDF troops, is shot dead, army says - Times of Israel

The Israel Defense Forces said on Wednesday morning that a member of the Palestinian Authority's security services opened fire at troops in the northern West Bank and was shot dead by Israeli forces.

Though not unprecedented, it is highly unusual for members of Palestinian security forces, which often coordinate closely with the IDF and other Israeli defense agencies, to carry out attacks against Israeli troops and civilians.

"IDF soldiers who were at a military post near the southern exit of the city of Nablus responded with fire after a terrorist armed with a pistol arrived from the direction of the city and shot at them from his vehicle," the IDF said in a statement.

2. UAE Official Says Hamas, PA are 'Corrupt' and 'Murderers'- Algemeiner

JNS.org - Dehrar Belhoul Al Falasi, a member of the Federal Council of the United Arab Emirates, told i24News in an interview that Hamas and the Palestinian Authority are "corrupt" and "murderer[s]."

"The UAE is committed to the cause, to the Palestinian people. Hamas and the [PA] Authority-both of them are corrupt, both of them are murderer[s]," he said. "Now the anger on the UAE from both of them [is] because the UAE stopped paying anything. If we want to pay, we pay the people," not the leaders.

Falasi went to call Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas "a common traitor," and that when he visited the UAE, his son came with and tried to do business deals.

"Now you came to help the Palestinians or you came to sell yourself or your companies," accused Falasi. "So now, the UAE had enough and Saudi Arabia had enough. Every time, they miss a chance by refusing to negotiate and they lose more."

3. Coronavirus cabinet okays reopening of high street shops next week - YNET News

Ministers in the coronavirus cabinet on Wednesday approved the reopening of high street shops in "green" areas that have low infection rates from Sunday, with a ban on serving more than four customers at one time. Malls and shopping centers will still remain closed.

The cabinet was set to meet again in the coming days to decide whether stores will also be allowed to open in "red" areas designated as infection hot spots.

On Thursday, the cabinet was set to decide whether the Druze communities of Majdal Shams, Buq'ata and Mas'ade on the Golan Heights will renter lockdown due to rising morbidity rates.

4. High Court Kills IDF Draft Law Starting in February - Jewish Press

The High Court of justice on Tuesday evening rejected the state's request for a further postponement of the reform of the draft law that exempts yeshiva students from conscription into the IDF. The court ruled that the current draft law must be repealed in three months, on February 1, 2021. The judges added that "it is expected that no further extensions will be requested."

The High Court decided to repeal the law back in 2017 but ruled that its decision would take effect only one year later, to allow the state to prepare for the cancellation or to formulate an alternative arrangement. Since then, the state has asked for one extension after another, because it was unable to formulate an arrangement that would be passed by the Knesset.

The deadline for the cancellation had been set for October 28, and the state asked to postpone it until the end of April 2021 - but the High Court justices only allowed an extension until the beginning of February.

5. UN resolution: Call Temple Mount solely by its Muslim name - Israel National News

A United Nations General Assembly committee on Wednesday adopted a resolution that referred to Jerusalem's Temple Mount solely by its Muslim name of Haram al-Sharif, the UN Watch NGO reported.

The Temple Mount resolution was one of seven resolutions passed by the General Assembly that single out or condemn Israel, with zero on the entire rest of the world.

One of the other texts approved on Wednesday condemns Israel for "repressive measures" against Syrian citizens in the Golan Heights, another renews the mandate of the UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), while another renews the mandate of the UN's "special committee to investigate Israeli practices affecting the human rights of the Palestinian people and other Arabs of the Occupied Territories."

The Daily Brief

1. Trump campaign predicts victory as early as Friday: 'Donald Trump is alive and well' - Fox News

President Trump's campaign remained confident Thursday, predicting not only that the incumbent Republican will win the 2020 election, but that the result could become apparent as soon as Friday.

As of early Thursday afternoon, several states continued to count ballots without a clear winner, but Democrat Joe Biden appeared to be on the verge of victory. According to Trump campaign manager Bill Stepien, however, Trump should not be counted out of the race just yet.

"Donald Trump is alive and well," Stepien said on a conference call. Trump campaign senior adviser Jason Miller went even further, predicting an imminent victory. (Read more)

- Lord God, we stand behind President Donald John Trump in any statement he makes, and we support him 100% in all he does that lines up with Your will for our nation. Amen.

- "Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!" (Psalm 150:6)

2. Trump's Deficit in Arizona Shrinks With New Results From Maricopa County - The Epoch Times

President Donald Trump's vote deficit in Arizona has narrowed, with a recent tally reported from the state's largest county showing that Democratic challenger Joe Biden's lead in the battleground has shrunk to around 68,390 votes.

Updated vote totals released by Maricopa County early Thursday (pdf) show Biden with 912,585 votes to Trump's 838,071, a difference of around 75,000 votes. Previously, Maricopa was reporting 887,457 votes for Biden and 802,160 for Trump, a spread of just over 85,000 votes.

According to an Associated Press tally, with 88 percent reporting, Biden has 1,469,341 votes in all of Arizona, while Trump has 1,400,951, a difference of 68,390 votes. The tally is based on a total of 2,910,677 votes, with Libertarian candidate Jo Jorgensen receiving 39,761 votes.

While the voting results for Arizona were called early for Biden by several news outlets, including Fox, Phoenix-based data analysis and political consulting firm Data Orbital said the ballots still being counted may be heavily Republican, with enough to potentially flip the state for Trump. (Read more)

- Father God, as these polls vary state by state and now, day by day, we look to You to anchor our souls in the unshakeable Rock of our Salvation. Let us fix our eyes upon You, and run the race that is set before us. In Your Name, amen.

"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off every encumbrance and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with endurance the race set out for us." (Hebrews 12:1)

3. Trump Says He Won in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Georgia - The Epoch Times

President Donald Trump on Wednesday evening declared victory in North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Georgia. He also said his campaign would "hereby claim the State of Michigan if, in fact there was a large number of secretly dumped ballots as has been widely reported!" Twitter placed a label under Trump's post that votes may still need to be counted.

"We have claimed, for Electoral Vote purposes, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (which won't allow legal observers) the State of Georgia, and the State of North Carolina, each one of which has a BIG Trump lead," Trump wrote.

No news outlets or organizations have declared the states for Trump. Several organizations including Decision Desk and CNN have projected Democratic candidate Joe Biden to be the winner of Michigan.

Biden's campaign hasn't issued a response. (Read more)

- Lord, as we followed the election results, it was clear that Trump was winning those states. But with odd situations popping up it was concerning.as the numbers started sliding. Let truth rise up, let all underhanded plots be revealed, let every American see that Trump did not lose this election, but that others tried to steal it from him.

"For to this end we toil and strive, because we have our hope set on the living God, who is the Savior of all people, especially of those who believe." (1 Timothy 4:10 ESV)

4. DOJ tells prosecutors armed federal agents are allowed in ballot counting centers - The Hill

The Department of Justice (DOJ) told prosecutors early Wednesday that armed federal agents are allowed in ballot counting centers to investigate potential voter fraud, The New York Times reported. Three people who described the message told the Times that the 1:30 a.m. email from Richard Donoghue said the law that bans armed federal authorities from being at the polls on Election Day does not apply to polling stations and locations that are counting ballots after that day.

In the email, the principal associate deputy attorney general said the law "does not prevent armed federal law enforcement persons from responding to, investigate, or prevent federal crimes at closed polling places or at other locations where votes are being counted."

The DOJ did not immediately return a request for comment.

Donoghue's email came about an hour before Trump spoke early Wednesday morning. He called for officials to stop counting votes in states where he was leading and falsely declared himself the winner of the presidential election. (Read more)

- Powerful Father in heaven, how we thank You for opening the doors of the polling places to allow federal agents to oversee the ballot counting centers. Protect each ballot, every vote, to be covered by the Blood of Jesus. For Your glory and in the Name of Jesus we pray.

"Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man. Through God we shall do valiantly: for He it is that shall tread down our enemies." (Psalm 108:12-13)

5. U.S. Supreme Court may not have final say in presidential election, despite Trump threat - Reuters

While President Donald Trump wants the U.S. Supreme Court to weigh in on a presidential race that is still too close to call, it may not be the final arbiter in this election, legal experts said. They said it was doubtful that courts would entertain a bid by Trump to stop the counting of ballots that were received before or on Election Day, or that any dispute a court might handle would change the trajectory of the race in closely fought states such as Michigan and Pennsylvania.

As of Wednesday evening, the election still hung in the balance. A handful of closely contested states could decide the outcome in the coming hours or days, as a large number of mail-in ballots cast amid the coronavirus pandemic appears to have drawn out the process. However, legal experts said that while there could be objections to particular ballots or voting and counting procedures, it was unclear if such disputes would determine the final outcome.

Both Republicans and Democrats have amassed armies of lawyers ready to go to the mat in a close race. Biden's team includes Marc Elias, a top election attorney at the firm Perkins Coie, and former Solicitors General Donald Verrilli and Walter Dellinger. Trump's lawyers include Matt Morgan, the president's campaign general counsel, Supreme Court litigator William Consovoy, and Justin Clark, senior counsel to the campaign.

Trump attorney Jenna Ellis on Wednesday defended Trump's bid to challenge the vote count and evaluate his legal options. "If we have to go through these legal challenges, that's not unprecedented," Ellis told Fox Business Network in an interview. "He wants to make sure that the election is not stolen."

The case closest to being resolved by the Supreme Court is the Pennsylvania dispute in which Republicans are challenging a September ruling by Pennsylvania's top court allowing mail-in ballots that were postmarked by Election Day and received up to three days later to be counted. The Supreme Court previously declined to fast-track an appeal by Republicans. But three conservative justices left open the possibility of taking up the case again after Election Day. (Read more)

- Father, we lift up this legal situation before you and ask that truth and wisdom be granted to those who will arbitrate the election. You have seen the people on both sides and know the hearts of all. We pray for Your perfect will over our nation. We bind the attempts to destroy it in the Mighty Name of Jesus, and declare all plots null and void.

"The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are bold as a lion. When a land transgresses, it has many rulers, but with a man of understanding and knowledge, its stability will long continue. " (Proverbs 28:1)

6. Trump, Biden campaigns fundraise in anticipation of pricey legal battles - The Hill

The Trump and Biden campaigns on Wednesday blitzed supporters with fundraising requests in anticipation of drawn-out legal fights around the closely contested presidential election. Both campaigns spent the day seeking donations as the Trump campaign launched the first volley in the legal battles to come while a handful of states continue counting votes.

Those court challenges and potential recounts are expected to cost millions. The funding is particularly important for the Trump campaign, which was at a significant cash disadvantage in the final weeks of the race.

The two campaigns went about soliciting donations in starkly different ways. The Trump campaign sent out a flurry of emails and text messages urging recipients to give while accusing Democrats of trying to steal the election as votes continue to be legally counted in several states.

The Biden campaign, meanwhile, framed its solicitations as an effort to fundraise to ensure every vote is counted. "The President threatened to go to court to prevent the proper tabulation of votes. We are standing up the biggest and most comprehensive legal effort ever assembled. This work could stretch on for weeks, so I am coming to you to ask you to pitch $25 in to the newly-formed Biden Fight Fund," campaign manager Jen O'Malley Dillon wrote in an email titled "Donald Trump will not steal this election." (Read more)

- Father, we ask that all necessary legal fees be covered by You. Both campaigns have blitzed supporters for months, so we ask that they not grow weary, and that You will miraculously increase the money needed for both the recounts and legal fees.

"He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness." (2 Corinthians 9:10)

7. Colorado voters reject late-term abortion ban in statewide referendum - Christian Post

Colorado voters have rejected a measure that would have banned abortions after 22 weeks of gestation, except when there is a life-threatening medical emergency for the mother. Proposition 115, also known as the 22-Week Abortion Ban Initiative, was defeated on Tuesday with about 59.07% of voters in the Centennial State voting against the measure and 40.93% voting in favor.

In June, the pro-life campaign Due Date Too Late gathered enough signatures to place Initiative 120, later renamed Proposition 115, on the November ballot. The initiative was in response to the state legislature defeating two bills that would have banned late-term abortion and mandated medical care for babies born alive during the procedure.

"This measure places a reasonable restriction on abortion after the baby can live outside the mother's womb, while still allowing a pregnant woman several months to make a choice about her pregnancy," argues the Due Date Too Late website. "This measure does not criminalize or penalize women in any way. With the Initiative, the goal is to protect women and their babies, give them better options and help them in their difficult circumstances." (Read more)

- Father God, we pray for the heart's conviction of pregnant mothers, doctors, nurses, medical assistants, etc. who hate the good and love the evil, who pluck off the life of the unborn, destroy their bones and chop them in pieces. All this is done without remorse. God, turn the wicked around that they forsake their evil ways. We pray in the Name of Jesus.

"Woe to them that devise iniquity, and work evil upon their beds! when the morning is light, they practice it, because it is in the power of their hand." (Micah 2:1)

8. Number 4: Pelosi Blow: Number of Pro-Life Women in House Doubles - Breitbart

The number of pro-life women in the U.S. House will double as a result of the 2020 elections. National pro-life groups are celebrating the victories: 11 pro-life incumbent women have won reelection and 13 new pro-life women were elected to the House, with eight races still to be called.

"The surge of victorious pro-life women candidates in the U.S. House is a stunning blow to Nancy Pelosi and her pro-abortion agenda," said Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List) President Marjorie Dannenfelser. Additionally, six pro-life women will serve in the U.S. Senate next Congress - seven if Sen. Kelly Loeffler (R-GA) wins the runoff election. SBA List said the 2020 election brought a "record number of pro-life women" into the next Congress.

"We are also very encouraged by the hard-fought re-election of Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA) and the re-election of Sen. Cindy-Hyde Smith (R-MS), while welcoming Senator-elect Cynthia Lummis (R-WY) to the ranks of pro-life women in the Senate," Dannenfelser added. "We are 'all in' for Senator Kelly Loeffler's runoff race in January and confident she will prevail."

The pro-life leader, who co-chaired Pro-Life Voices for Trump, along with Christina Bennett, said the election results are "a resounding victory for pro-life women everywhere and an enormous advancement of Susan B. Anthony List's mission. We expect when all votes are counted and the races are called, we will have a record number of pro-life women serving in the next Congress," Dannenfelser said. "These gains are a repudiation of abortion extremism and further evidence that life is a winning issue in politics." (Read more)

- Father in heaven, we give praise to God for the many who voted for pro-life women in the U.S. House and U.S. Senate and next Congress. God does prevail over the wicked and unrighteous deeds of evil people. Thank You, Lord. In Jesus' Name.

"Be exalted, O God, above the heavens: and Your glory above all the earth."
(Psalm 108:5)

9. Election unrest breaks out in Los Angeles, Washington, Portland, and Raleigh- Washington Examiner

Civil unrest erupted in cities nationwide Tuesday night into early Wednesday as protesters became violent waiting for the results of the presidential election. Hundreds gathered in Black Lives Matter Plaza, a three-block strip running north of the White House. Police took three people involved in fights into custody before midnight, though the Metropolitan Police Department has not released information on arrests related to the protests.

Hundreds of people, most dressed in black clothing and many carrying black umbrellas despite no rain, marched to the plaza, then to other parts of downtown. Marchers in Washington walked down the street carrying a sign that read "Burn down the American plantation" while chanting, "If we don't get it, burn it down!" Others shot off fireworks in the streets, lit a trash can on fire, and burned an American flag.

Police in south Minneapolis arrested 13 women and one man overnight who spray-painted businesses and may have committed arson, according to police spokesman John Elder. Those arrested are expected to face riot charges.

In Portland, crowds shut down traffic, and a woman on a bullhorn harassed business owners, demanding that they come outside or they would be bullied. A mob of people in dark clothing took over the street and marched while chanting, "Back up. Back up. We want freedom, freedom. All these racist [indistinguishable]. We don't need 'em, need 'em."

A couple hundred protesters gathered in downtown Raleigh, North Carolina, and six were arrested by local police after hurling fireworks and other items toward law enforcement. Police said the gathering was unlawful and broke it up well before midnight. City officials proactively put up barricades around the state capitol, and businesses closed early in anticipation of civil unrest election night.(Read more)

- Righteous Father, we pray that You will dispatch myriads of warrior angels over Los Angeles, Washington, Portland and Raleigh and defeat all the rioters, anarchists, hired enemies of peace. Bind all demons by the Blood of Jesus and cast them out. We pray in Jesus' Name.

"Deliver them, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked, out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man."  (Psalm 71:4)

10. Dow surges 368 points and Nasdaq hits highest level since April as investors shrug off the undecided election - Markets Insider

US stocks soared to multimonth highs on Wednesday in reaction to the ongoing tally of votes in the presidential election.

Healthcare stocks led the market higher on the prospect of a Joe Biden presidency and a Republican Senate stymying an overhaul of America's healthcare system. Tech shares also closed sharply higher, with the Nasdaq 100 posting its best single-day increase since April.

Here's where US indexes stood at the 4 p.m. ET close on Wednesday: (Go here)

- Father God, we praise You for this blessing and the prosperity it brings. We give You thanks for watching over the stock market. In Jesus' Name.

"I will praise You, O Lord, among the people: and I will sing praises unto You among the nations."  (Psalm 108:3)

In the hands of God

Joe Biden stated: "Now, every vote must be counted. No one is going to take our democracy away from us, not now, not ever." The Biden game plan is surmised by his words that every vote must be counted in the name of democracy. This is not just political rhetoric. Biden and the Democratic Party demand that every vote be counted. This is code for every vote cast, whether it was legal or not. It is not coincidence that President Trump wins most every state, and the contested ones remaining have Democratic governors that just so happen to have enough votes in reserve to win the electoral college if all votes are counted. This is what the Trump campaign and America must fight, if we are to remain a Constitutional Republic.

The Founders of this nation purposely rejected an outright democracy-the supreme law of majority rule-opting instead for a Constitutional Republic, where the rule of law protects the minority as equal to the majority. We are a nation of laws where eligible voters cast their votes with balanced representation as prescribed by the electoral college. If the majority rules without this protection, there is a breakdown in law. In essence, the law becomes whatever the majority dictates at the time of the vote. The Democrats could not beat Trump outright, and they knew it, so they used the COVID crisis to change the law with mail in ballots that can be counted after the election deadlines. The longer the votes are allowed past the deadlines-like in Pennsylvania and North Carolina and other states in play-the more chance of fraud.

How, for example, can 200,000 ballots be brought forth and all 200,000 were cast for Biden, as in Wisconsin, and none, zero, be cast for Trump? This statistically is improbable. But this is how elections are stolen. They are votes held in the balance, those that were harvested from many sources (i.e. cemeteries, illegal immigrants, felons, etc.) are bagged up and presented in closed rooms where Republican poll watchers are forbidden because the Democrats run the precincts in the big cities. Every vote counts is the battle cry, but in recounts illegitimate votes are disqualified. This is why Biden wants every vote cast to count. Majority rule. Rule of law changes if the majority says it must change. This is tyranny, not a Constitutional Republic as envisioned by the Founding Fathers.

For me, I am a one-issue voter-The precepts of God over all others. Religious freedom is a foundation stone to all other freedoms. As we watch and pray over the next few days, recall Abraham's heartfelt and passionate discussion with God over Sodom and Gomorrah in Genesis 18:27-33: Abraham said, "Indeed now, I who am but dust and ashes have taken it upon myself to speak to the Lord. Let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak but once more: Suppose ten (righteous) should be found there?" And He said, "I will not destroy it for the sake of ten." I know there are more than ten righteous in our great America. Plead in prayer to the Lord that he spares us from this injustice. It is but in the Lord's hands. His will be done.
