Department of Justice Announces Launch of Civil Rights Reporting Portal

A new online tool designed to help the public report civil rights violations

The Department of Justice today announced the launch of the Civil Rights Reporting Portal. This new online tool will make it easier for the public to report a civil rights violation.

"The department is committed to upholding the civil and constitutional rights of all people in the United States," said Assistant Attorney General Eric Dreiband of the Civil Rights Division. "The Civil Rights Reporting Portal will make it easier for the public to connect with us, which in turn makes us more effective at upholding these important rights. I encourage the public to use this portal to report civil rights violations."

The new Civil Rights Reporting Portal - located at civilrights.justice.gov - will consolidate over 30 unique reporting pathways. The portal will dramatically ease the burden on victims of civil rights violations to identify the proper reporting channel. The form is fully accessible to people with disabilities. It is also available in both English and Spanish, with more languages to be added over the next year.

Individuals who believe that they may have been victims of civil rights violations should contact the department by visiting civilrights.justice.gov.

Focus on Israel

1. Defense experts sound alarm on 'critical shortfall' of US weapons stockpile in Israel- JNS

(June 16, 2020 / JNS) A new paper released by the Jewish Institute for the National Security of America (JINSA) has called on the United States to fill up its weapons stockpile in Israel with precision-guided munitions, as the threats posed by adversaries like Iran and Hezbollah grows.

JINSA's U.S.-Israel Security Policy Project, chaired by former NATO Supreme Allied Commander ADM Jim Stavridis, USN (ret.), issued the report in recent days, which addressed what it described as "critical shortfalls of U.S. weapons prepositioned in Israel."

Gen. (ret.) Charles Wald, a Distinguished Fellow at JINSA's Gemunder Center for Defense and Strategy, and former Deputy Commander of U.S. European Command, told JNS that the desired end state is boosting the security of "Israel, our major ally."

2. Johnson: Israeli sovereignty would be a breach of international law - Israel National News

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said on Tuesday that an Israeli move to apply sovereignty over parts of Judea and Samaria "would amount to breach of international law."

Johnson, who was quoted by Haaretz, stressed that his government strongly objects to the sovereignty move and will work to make the case for a two-state solution for the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

The British Prime Minister was replying to a question raised by Conservative Party Member of Parliament Crispin Blunt, who stated that the United Kingdom must dissuade Israel by using "real sanctions if they breach international law."

"I believe that what is proposed by Israel would amount to breach of international law and I strongly objected and we believe profoundly in a two-state solution and we will continue to make that case," replied Johnson.

3. Netanyahu buckles down: 'Sovereignty over 30% of territories' - World Israel News

As the July 1 deadline for annexation grows nearer, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu doubles down on sovereignty, despite objections from some settlement leaders and European and Arab world leaders. Israel Hayom reported that on Monday in a Likud faction meeting, Netanyahu reiterated his intention to declare sovereignty over the Jordan Valley and settlement blocs in Judea and Samaria, as outlined in Trump's deal of the century.

"We are facing a historic opportunity and we are working on it right now," said Netanyahu. At another faction meeting shortly afterwards, Netanyahu said, "We will apply sovereignty to 30 percent of Judea and Samaria."

4. Israel Passes 'Norwegian' Law Allowing Ministers to Temporarily Give up Parliament Seats - Jewish Press

Israel's Knesset on Monday passed a law allowing legislators appointed ministers or deputy ministers to resign temporarily from their parliamentary seats and enable other members of their party to take their place. Under the so-called "Norwegian Law," if such a minister or deputy minister later resigns, is dismissed or is appointed prime minister, vice prime minister or acting prime minister, he or she automatically returns to the Knesset at the expense of the new MK. The law allows for between one and five members of a party who are also ministers or deputy ministers to give up their parliament seats in favor of party members below them on their party's list.

The bill was approved in its second and third readings, with 66 votes in favor and 43 against. It required 61 votes to pass.

The passing of the law was a condition of the coalition agreement signed between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Vice Premier Benny Gantz. The legislation is important to Gantz's Blue and White Party, as 12 of the 15 Blue and White members elected to the Knesset during the March elections are ministers or deputy ministers and thus are unable to formulate laws or sit on Knesset committees, leaving only three of the party's MKs to do this work.

5. Netanyahu, Greek PM announce travel between countries will resume August 1 - Times of Israel

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his Greek counterpart Kyriakos Mitsotakis met Tuesday in Jerusalem and announced travel between the countries would resume in August.

Mitsotakis arrived in Israel Tuesday for a one-day visit planned to include wide-ranging talks covering energy and controversial Israeli plans to annex parts of the West Bank.

The Greek leader is leading the largest high-level delegation to Israel since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, with six ministers in tow including defense, foreign and tourism.

6. US Democrats push letter to unify party behind anti-annexation message to Israel - Times of Israel

House Democrats have put together a letter that they hope will unite their entire caucus in warning Israel against annexation of part of the West Bank.

The letter, now circulating among the party's House caucus and obtained exclusively by the Jewish Telegraphic Agency, warns Israel about the dangers annexation would pose to Israelis and to the region. But it does not hint at any danger to the US-Israel relationship and restates the signers' commitment to the relationship.

The House formulation comes just weeks after a letter with much tougher language failed to garner a majority of the Democratic caucus in the Senate. It seeks to reconcile two competing interests for Democrats: sounding off about a looming annexation that the party believes would be disastrous for the Middle East, and not alienating the centrist pro-Israel movement, still seen as a critical component of support for Democrats in an election year.

1. Trump to sign executive order on policing to 'build trust' in law enforcement- Fox News

President Trump on Tuesday is expected to sign an executive order on law enforcement reform in the wake of the death of George Floyd, an event that tipped off weeks of protests, as the nation grapples with racial disparities in policing and the criminal justice system that have spurred calls as drastic as the dismantling of entire police departments.

The president will deliver remarks in the Rose Garden and sign the order, which is titled "Safe Policing for Safe Communities." The event is scheduled for noon.

"Both public safety and public trust are crucial to the law enforcement mission," the White House said in a tweet Monday night. "Tomorrow's Executive Order will uphold clear and high policing standards, promote accountability in law enforcement, and help equip police officers for constructive community engagement." (Read more)

- Father, we thank you for our President taking a position on behalf of our law enforcement. May He hear wise counsel from You and act according to Your plans in this matter. We pray for our law enforcement community to be protected and trained well to deal with ever changing, often dangerous engagements with people in this nation.

- "Remember me, my God, for good, according to all that I have done for this people." (Nehemiah 5:19)

2. Albuquerque to send unarmed social workers, not police officers, to some 911 calls - Fox News

Hours before Albuquerque police detained alleged members of an armed civilian group when a protest erupted in gunfire Monday, the mayor of New Mexico's largest city announced that unarmed social workers - not officers - would now respond to certain 911 calls.

The decision came as Black Lives Matter advocates to defund police departments in the wake of the death of George Floyd, an unarmed black man who died in police custody after Minneapolis officer Derek Chauvin knelt on his neck for nearly nine minutes on May 25.

Albuquerque Mayor Tim Keller announced that the city would create a "first-of-its-kind" cabinet-level department that would respond to calls on inebriation, homelessness, addiction and mental health. (Read more)

- Father, thank you for a creative and potential solution for dealing with such situations. On paper, this sounds like a reasonable approach for emergency calls that would normally be handled by law enforcement. We pray that the social workers are able to provide the resources needed to deal with these calls and that everyone is kept safe, under the blood of Jesus. We ask for a release of God's goodness into this population as well.

- "And the second, like it, is this: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these." (Mark 12:31)

3. Supreme Court declines to hear cases over legal doctrine qualified immunity, which shields police from lawsuits - CNBC

The Supreme Court said on Monday that it will not hear cases regarding a doctrine that shields police and other public officials from lawsuits for conduct that does not involve a "clearly established" violation of the law. The announcement, made in an order, comes as the nation reels from weeks of protests against police violence spurred by the brutal arrest of George Floyd in Minneapolis last month that ended with his death in police custody. The four officers involved in the arrest are now facing charges.

The doctrine, qualified immunity, has come under increasing scrutiny by critics who say it gives blanket protection to law enforcement officers even when they violate civil rights. The burden imposed by qualified immunity on victims of police violence is exacerbated by the fact that prosecutors rarely charge officers for excessive force violations, often leaving civil lawsuits as the only remaining avenue.

The doctrine was established by the Supreme Court in 1982 and has been expanded over time. Increasingly, the top court has required victims to cite a case with precisely the same detailed facts as their own in order to prove that the action against them was a "clearly established" violation of the law.

Justices Clarence Thomas, one of the court's most ardent conservatives, and Sonia Sotomayor, a liberal, have both criticized qualified immunity on separate grounds. Thomas has argued that qualified immunity is essentially a creation of the justices - substituting "our own policy preferences" for that of Congress.

Sotomayor has written that qualified immunity "tells officers that they can shoot first and think later, and it tells the public that palpably unreasonable conduct will go unpunished." (Read more)

- Heavenly Father in Jesus Name we pray protection under the law for policemen who are devoted to serving the public. Bless our nation as being under Your righteousness and the rule of law. Please bring peace to our nation as You bless those who serve us. In Jesus' Name Amen

- "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." (John 14:27)

4. U.S. Supreme Court snubs Trump on challenge to California 'sanctuary' laws- Reuters

The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday handed President Donald Trump a defeat in his legal showdown with the most-populous U.S. state, declining to hear his administration's challenge to "sanctuary" laws in California that protect immigrants from deportation. The justices left in place a lower court ruling that upheld the bulk of three laws in the Democratic-governed state that limit cooperation with federal immigration enforcement authorities. The Trump administration had appealed that ruling to the high court.

Trump, seeking re-election on Nov. 3, has made his hardline immigration policies a focus of his presidency, including a crackdown on legal and illegal immigration. His administration sued California in 2018 in federal court, accusing the state of unlawfully obstructing enforcement of federal immigration law and saying the measures violate the U.S. Constitution's provision that federal laws take precedence over state laws.

The California "sanctuary" laws in question prohibit private employers in the state from voluntarily cooperating with federal immigration officials and bar local law enforcement authorities from sharing information with federal officials about the release of potentially deportable immigrants from custody. (Read more)

- Lord God, we ask that You would strengthen the heart of our President in light of this decision. We thank You that we have a President who desires only to protect our people. We ask You to forgive these justices; they know not what they do. In Your name, amen.

"Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD." (Psalm 31:24)

[Second Prayer]

- Father -- I'm pretty outraged at this lawlessness being sanctioned by the highest court in the land. I'm asking you to sanction them for their unacceptable actions against protecting the citizens of this nation. Sanctuary cities have no business being used to protect criminal activity and need to be brought under control and authority. So we commit it into Your righteous judgment to deal with it.

- "And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold." (Matthew 24:12)

5. Fifty-four scientists have lost their jobs as a result of NIH probe into foreign ties - Science Mag

Some 54 scientists have resigned or been fired as a result of an ongoing investigation by the National Institutes of Health into the failure of NIH grantees to disclose financial ties to foreign governments. In 93% of those cases, the hidden funding came from a Chinese institution.

The new numbers come from Michael Lauer, NIH's head of extramural research. Lauer had previously provided some information on the scope of NIH's investigation, which had targeted 189 scientists at 87 institutions. But his presentation today to a senior advisory panel offered by far the most detailed breakout of an effort NIH launched in August 2018 that has roiled the U.S. biomedical community, and resulted in criminal charges against some prominent researchers, including Charles Lieber, chair of Harvard University's department of chemistry and chemical biology.

NIH has been in the forefront of federal efforts to identify and block behavior that many U.S. government officials say poses a significant threat to the country's economic well-being and to national security. Several bills pending in Congress seek to limit that threat in various ways, including by limiting the flow of scientific talent from China to the United States, and by restricting access to federally funded research that provides a foundation for cutting-edge technologies and new industries. (Read more)

- HalleluJah!!! Thank you Jesus that an organization is actually doing the right thing and moving forward on behalf of justice for our nation. It's a breath of fresh air. We ask you to protect this investigation from those who would obstruct or hinder it. Do not let them stop the NIH and others who are pursuing this washing of spies out of the highest levels of our nation's scientific research.

- "For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?" (Mark 8:36)

6. Seattle reaches deal with 'CHOP' to remove temporary roadblocks, replace with concrete barriers - Fox News

The city of Seattle and protesters occupying the "Capitol Hill Organized Protest" have reached an agreement that will remove temporary roadblocks and replace them with concrete barriers, Fox News has been told.

The Seattle Department of Transportation is installing concrete barriers in the middle of Pine Street, running East and West, which will split the road for both pedestrian and vehicle traffic. This will allow for emergency service vehicles to pass through the area.

The agreement will reduce the area protesters previously called Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone, or CHAZ, from about six or seven city blocks to just three. This is the first time in weeks traffic will be able to pass by the shuttered East Police Precinct.

The development comes after the Seattle City Council on Monday voted unanimously to ban police from using chokeholds, and crowd-control devices like tear gas and pepper spray. (Read more)

- Heavenly Father, we do not come into agreement with this decision to essentially comply with the protesters demands for a space to "occupy." We are sorry to hear of the city council's coming into agreement with the protestors to the extent that they only replace the barriers instead of tearing them down. We come against a spirit of lawlessness that has dominion over this group of rebellious people and tell it to leave in the name of Jesus.

"Even so you also outwardly appear righteous to men, but inside you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness." (Matthew 23:28)

7. Entire South Florida SWAT team resigns after chief of police and local officials took a knee with protesters - The Daily Mail

A south Florida police department's entire SWAT team resigned Friday, citing the chief of police's decision to take a knee with protesters calling for an investigation into a 2014 raid in which a black man was fatally shot.

The ten-person team handed over an angry letter of resignation to the Hallandale Beach police chief in which they took aim at Vice Mayor Sabrina Javellana for comparing them to the Minneapolis Police Department that killed George Floyd.

The letter also cited safety concerns over a lack of equipment and claimed that the 'disdain' of local officials meant the safety of police dogs was taken more seriously than the unit's safety. The eight officers and two sergeants resigned from the team but not from the Hallandale Beach Police Department.

The officers said they were 'minimally equipped' and had been 'disrespected' by city officials who refused to address equipment and training concerns. (Read more)

- Father, we are grieved to hear of this lack of support for the local police department from the police chief and the vice-mayor in Florida. Lord, we know this has happened in many other cities, as well. We pray that this lack of proper priorities will change and that political correctness will be replaced with respect and honor for what the majority of law officers do.

- "Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14)

8. US borders with Mexico and Canada will remain closed to nonessential travel for additional month - The Hill

The U.S. borders with Canada and Mexico will remain closed to nonessential travel for at least another month, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced Tuesday.

The three countries have extended their border restrictions in 30-day intervals since March 20. Previously set to be lifted on Sunday, they will now last until at least July 21.

"Based on the success of the existing restrictions and the emergence of additional global COVID-19 hotspots, the Department will continue to limit non-essential travel at our land ports of entry with Canada and Mexico," acting DHS Secretary Chad Wolf said in a statement. "This extension protects Americans while keeping essential trade and travel flowing as we reopen the American economy." (Read more)

- Father God, we ask that the border restrictions continue only so long as You deem them necessary for Your plans and purposes. Give the DHS and border guards Your wisdom as to what is and is not essential. Deliver us from evil, in Yeshua's name.

Unless the LORD guards the city, The watchman keeps awake in vain. (Psalm 127b)

9. Twitter Hires Ex-FBI Lawyer Who Played Key Role In Probe Of Trump Campaign - The Daily Caller

Twitter announced Monday that it has hired the former FBI lawyer who approved key steps taken during the investigation into the Trump campaign, including the decisions to surveil former campaign aide Carter Page and to use an FBI agent to secretly monitor Michael Flynn during a national security briefing for the campaign.

James Baker will serve as deputy general counsel of Twitter, said Sean Edgett, the general counsel of the social media company.

Baker "is committed to our core principles of an open internet and freedom of expression," Edgett said in a statement. Baker "brings experience navigating complex, global issues with a principled approach." Baker joins Twitter amid a battle with President Donald Trump over censorship of conservative users of the platform. (Read more)

- Lord God, have mercy! We ask that James Baker be brought to task for his role in the Trump campaign investigation and have no standing in legal circles at this time. We earnestly pray that Twitter would be required to cease their hypocritical censorship of conservative users. May our freedom of speech, guaranteed by our Constitution, stand. No gags, in Jesus name!

Live as people who are free, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but living as servants of God. (1 Peter 2:16)

10. Top Mueller Prosecutor To Testify As Whistleblower Against Attorney General Barr - The Daily Caller

One of the top prosecutors on the special counsel's team is set to testify as a whistleblower against Attorney General William Barr, the House Judiciary Committee announced on Tuesday.

Aaron Zelinsky will testify on June 24 regarding the Justice Department's handling of the prosecution of Roger Stone, a longtime Trump confidante convicted on charges that he made false statements to Congress during its investigation of possible links between the Trump campaign and Russia.

Another Justice Department attorney, John Elias, the acting chief of staff for the assistant attorney general for the antitrust division, will also testify as a whistleblower about what Democrats say is "improperly motivated activity" by the antitrust division. (Read more)

- Lord, please expose the true motivations behind the so called "whistleblowers' " charges against AG William Barr. So much time, energy, and money have already been wasted; we ask that the door to this contrived investigation be permanently shut and those who fabricated the accusations be at last brought to justice. May the citizens of our nation wake up and desire to know the truth in their inner-most beings. May our voices be heard, and may any corruption at the polls be quicky brought to Light.

These are the things that you shall do: Speak the truth to one another; render in your gates judgments that are true and make for peace. (Zechariah 8:16)

Antifa Object Lesson

Watching the videos of a street preacher being harassed, wrestled to the ground and dragged in the Seattle Antifa-controlled "Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone," is confirmation of just how your freedoms of speech and religion will be handled under militant leftist groups if they are allowed authority. Under the claim of being anti-fascist, they are fascist. They want to defund police so that they can easily take over areas of the country and rule with their brand of "democracy," which is rule by majority in a specific area rather than rule by law. Laws in the United States are designed to protect minorities from this very kind of vigilante "justice." You give up some freedom for protection under the law. It's called the social contract.

Most reasonable people do not want to abolish police or give in to loser anarchists ruling over them. You can see with the Seattle example what happens to very basic rights. This time it is a street preacher. Next time, it could be you. It's not so appealing is it? Makes you a bit uneasy, right? Makes you angry? Now imagine how black people feel when they see that those who are supposed to uphold the law treat them the same way that Antifa is being allowed to treat the street preacher. Only they have been treated this way for decades. I realize that many in America have not seen this treatment and hardly believe that it happens, but it does. Just how in the back of your mind you would feel uneasy about walking through the Seattle zone, is how many black brothers and sisters feel every day. I am reporting what I have found after many interviews.

The problem here is that a vast majority discounts this soft tyranny with "yeah but." So many people have given so many reasons why these black men and women have been killed. It's almost as if they are trying to justify an unjust death because of some collective misdeed assigned to the victims. Let me be very clear. An unjust (meaning deadly force is used when a life-preserving option is available) taking of a life, irrespective of what a person is accused of, or has done in the past, goes against Christian principle. Christ said in John 10:10, "I am come that they may have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." As Christians, we are called to support life over death, love over hate, and just law over unjust law. It's not just about unjust deaths, it is about the ongoing harassment. The deaths are the tip of the spear, so to speak.

Equal protection under the law. If you break the law, your protections do not stop, but rather begin in another way, meaning you are innocent until proven guilty. Many people forget that small fact. I hear, "Well he did this or she had a record." This is in material. Whether you agree with the Seattle street preacher's methods, we all can agree that he should be protected under the law. Instead he is harassed and assaulted. It is an example of what will happen if the left's army is allowed to take over. But it is also an object lesson about how laws are in place to protect the minority from the whims of the majority. And the laws are supposed to be color blind, as are those who enforce them. All this to say, that if you claim to be a disciple of Christ, the standard is far higher than the political agendas that hijack and choke out the truth. Don't be deceived.

SCOTUS LGBT DECISION: Danger Ahead

scotus.jpg

SCOTUS LGBT Decision Will 'Create a Tsunami of New Litigation' Against Religious Groups

A Comment from Barry Battlestein:

Shalom Friends: This Supreme Court Decision is going to impact churches in a very negative way, with lawsuits and litigation by gays, transgenders, and homosexuals regarding employment or dismissal.

Seems as if our Supreme Court wants to continue destroying Christian values and institutions just as they did buy outlawing prayer, the Ten Commandments, legalizing same sex marriage, and abortion.

Their war against God, His word, and His church and Christian values is a never ending battle!

> > > To read this article, please go here.

- Father God, we do not understand why the majority on this Supreme Court has made this decision, so we now turn to You, Almighty God and Ruler of the Universe, for help. The days are clearly evil . . . we gird up our loins and brace ourselves for the battles that surely lie ahead, as members of the gay rights/transgender movement begin to "move in" on our churches. Help us, O Lord, we pray. Amen.

- "In my distress I called upon the LORD, And cried to my God for help; He heard my voice out of His temple, And my cry for help before Him came into His ears." (Psalm 18:6)

"The Rise of Lawlessness"

A Teaching by Laura Densmore
Bridge Connector Ministries

Laura was the guest speaker tonight. She focused on the lawlessness that is rising up on the streets of many cities throughout the US and the globe and shared prayer targets around this issue.

Prayer Target #1: Pray into 1 John 3:4

~ We pray that a spirit of repentance would be sent by the God of Israel upon the nations and into the churches! May many peoples hearts be circumcised! May many people have a genuine encounter with Yeshua, repent of their sins and lawlessness and begin following the Torah of Yeshua!

Prayer Target # 2: Pray into Matthew 24:12 and John 13:34 ~ Abba, we break off the spirit of lawlessness off of our nation! We cry out for the fruits of the spirit to come forth. We break off and renounce the coldness of heart and we cry out for the spirit of love from Yeshua to be magnified!

Prayer Target # 3: Pray into Matthew 13:38-43 ~ Abba, as we come into the end of days harvest time we ask that those who are practicing iniquity, those who are tares, will come into the kingdom of God, repent of their sins, and be transformed into wheat!

Prayer Target #4: Pray into John 14:15 ~ Abba, we see here that if we love Yeshua, we are to walk as He walked and keep His commands. We pray for those who have fallen under Replacement Theology thinking. Please open their eyes to the truth of the Torah of Yeshua our Messiah!

A Classic Hymn

Classic Hymns

SOFTLY AND TENDERLY JESUS IS CALLING

"He's calling you!" (Mark 10:49)

Lyrics

Softly and tenderly Jesus is calling,
Calling for you and for me;
See, on the portals He's waiting and watching,
Watching for you and for me.

Refrain

Come home, come home,
You who are weary, come home;
Earnestly, tenderly, Jesus is calling,
Calling, O sinner, come home!

Why should we tarry when Jesus is pleading,
Pleading for you and for me?
Why should we linger and heed not His mercies,
Mercies for you and for me?

Refrain

Time is now fleeting, the moments are passing,
Passing from you and from me;
Shadows are gathering, deathbeds are coming,
Coming for you and for me.

Refrain

O for the wonderful love He has promised,
Promised for you and for me!
Though we have sinned, He has mercy and pardon,
Pardon for you and for me.

Refrain

Words and Melody: Will L. Thompson, 1880

This hymn was sung at a memorial service for American civil rights leader Martin Luther King, at the Ebenezer Baptist Church, Atlanta, Georgia, April 8, 1968, and in the 1985 Academy Award winning movie Trip to Bountiful.

About the Hymn:

When the world-renowned lay preacher, Dwight Lyman Moody, lay on his death bed in his Northfield, Massachusetts, home, Will Thompson made a special visit to inquire as to his condition. The attending physician refused to admit him to the sick room, and Moody heard them talking just outside the bedroom door.

Recognizing Thompson's voice, he called for him to come to his bed side. Taking the Ohio poet-composer by the hand, the dying evangelist said, "Will, I would rather have written 'Softly and Tenderly Jesus is Calling' than anything I have been able to do in my whole life."

Signs and Wonders

Signs and Wonders

Widespread, severe flooding forces over 200,000 from their homes
in southern China

Torrential rainfall and flooding uprooted hundreds of thousands of people from their homes in southern China on June 9. The video shows many water rescues.

It's been a disastrous start to the wet season in southern China as rounds of flooding rain and thunderstorms continue to track across the region. Multiple deaths and a massive evacuation for hundreds of thousands of people are being blamed on the persistent deluge.

Heavy flooding rainfall tracked across southern China last week and over the weekend. Guizhou, Hunan and Guangxi provinces as well as Chongqing municipality were, and continue to be, some of the hardest hit provinces.

The downpours turned streets into rivers and flooded buildings in parts of Chongqing on Sunday. More than 30,000 people have been affected by the flooding in the municipality, including over 7,000 who were forced from their homes.

According to CGTN, waters rose about 1 meter (3 feet) before gradually receding after an hour, leaving a thick layer of mud behind. Hundreds of thousands of hectares of farmland have also been destroyed by the deluge of rain.

The risk of flash flooding and mudslides will remain high in the area through at least the middle of the week as rain and thunderstorms remain in the forecast for Chongqing.

Teen Rewarded With Car and College Scholarship after Cleaning Up Following the Protest

A teen spent 10 hours cleaning up the aftermath of the protest all by himself. His good deed was noticed as he received surprise rewards such as a fully insured car and a college scholarship.

Antonio Gwynn Jr started clearing the streets of his hometown, Buffalo, New York, at 2 a.m. Later that morning, neighbors arrived on the scene to clean the physical consequences of the protest only to find out the 18-year-old had beat them to it.

When Matt Block heard of Gwynn's selfless act, he decided to give him his 2004 red Mustang convertible. CNN reported that Block saw Gwynn "ask for some car buying advice on Facebook." So, he presented his Mustang since he only uses it occasionally. (GODTV) Read more.

About Capitol Hill Prayer Partners

Our Mission Statement

Capitol Hill Prayer Partners (CHPP) is a ministry which is positioned on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., helping members of the Body of Christ to "pray for those in authority over us" in our federal government. Our primary purpose is to offer intercession on site for the members of Congress and their staffs each day that the Senate and the House of Representatives are in session; and our chief prayer focus is that "God's will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." [Matthew 6:10].

Because Jesus Christ has shed His blood for all, we, too, pray for ALL, in a nonpartisan manner. Also, because the scriptures indicate that "the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 4:17), we are confident that fervent prayer, offered in the halls of the highest chambers of government in our land, can avail much for America. Capitol Hill Prayer Partners welcomes those who feel called to join us, engaging in this strategic work of intercession for our nation: "For there is no power but of God; the powers that be are ordained of God." [Romans 13:1]

Reading the Bible Together

WELCOME TO OUR BIBLE READATHON!

"For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD as the waters cover the sea." (Habakkuk 2:14)

> > > Reading the Word of God over our nation, six nights per week!! ALL NIGHT LONG!

We are now reading the Word of God every night (except on Sunday mornings) from midnight to 6:00 a.m. EDT. We are reading through the whole Word, from Genesis to Revelation, and beginning again in Genesis when finished. [As of this writing, over the past three years, we have now "read through" the entire Word of God sixty-five times, nonstop. Hallelujah!]

Our numbers of readers continues to grow over time. All are welcome to join, as we use "the weapons of OUR warfare" to confront our enemy and BRING HIM DOWN through the LOVE of our Messiah and, by faith, setting captives free!

Our conference number is: 712-432-0075. The access code is: 206425#.

Please call at any time from midnight to 6:00 a.m. EST!
EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO JOIN OUR "WARFARE IN THE NIGHT", USING THE WEAPON OF HIS WARFARE - THE WORD OF GOD!

"For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart." (Hebrews 4:12)

> > > A footnote: 2020 has been declared "the Year of the Bible."

Hallelujah!!

Please join us as, together, we "soak the very atmosphere of our nation" in the WORD OF GOD!

In closing, let us decree together that . . .

"Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path." (Psalm 119:105)

AMEN!!

Reminder!

Our conference number is: 712-432-0075.
The access code is: 206425#.

And . . . once again . . . welcome!

Time to Repent

Time to Repent!

"For God sometimes uses sorrow in our lives to help us turn away from sin and seek eternal life. We should never regret his sending it. But the sorrow of the man who is not a Christian is not the sorrow of true repentance and does not prevent eternal death." (2 Corinthians 7:10 TLB)
