1. Netanyahu: World is realizing what we said about Iran nuclear threat - Jerusalem Post
The International Atomic Energy Agency has begun to realize that Iran is lying about its nuclear ambitions, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said at the opening of Sunday's cabinet meeting.
"Iran continues to lie to the international community in order to attain nuclear weapons," Netanyahu warned. "Today, the IAEA understands what we have said for years."
Netanyahu referred to the UN nuclear watchdog's resolution adopted over the weekend, which he said "speaks for itself," calling on Iran to cooperate with the agency and grant it access to suspected former nuclear sites.
Defense Minister and Alternate Prime Minister Benny Gantz said "Iran is first of all a problem for the world, then a regional problem, undermining the stability of the whole Middle East, and it is also a challenge for Israel."
Gantz said "the security matters that stand out less in light of the challenges of coronavirus have not disappeared and they will return."
2. IDF chief warns Iran now the 'most dangerous country' in Middle East - Times of Israel
Israel Defense Forces Chief of Staff Aviv Kohavi on Sunday said Iran is now the most dangerous country in the Middle East, not just because of its nuclear program, but also through its conventional weapons and support for terror activities against Israel.
Kohavi warned that Iran's influence reaches into the first of the three circles of threats against Israel, the first being small terror groups on Israel's borders, like Hamas; the second being larger threats, like the Syrian army and Hezbollah; and the third being countries that do not share a border with Israel, like Iran and Iraq.
"Iran has become the most dangerous country in the Middle East," Kohavi said at a ceremony to install a new head of the IDF Planning Directorate, held at the army headquarters in Tel Aviv.
"True, it is in the third circle, but it is most influential in the first and second circles," Kohavi said. "It has made considerable progress in its nuclear program, but the nuclear [threat] is no longer the only threat.
3. Netanyahu's Ultimatum to Gantz: Sovereignty Now or New Elections - Jewish Press
Mati Tuchfeld on Monday morning reported in Israel Hayom that PM Benjamin Netanyahu was stunned to discover during the coalition talks with Blue&White just how strongly his former IDF chiefs of staff-Benny Gantz and Gabi Ashkenazi-objected to his plan to apply sovereignty in the Jewish settlements of Judea and Samaria, with American approval.
Tuchfeld reveals that the two leaders were simply lying when they agreed with Netanyahu's promise of sovereignty, and Gantz went ahead and lied to President Trump himself during their meeting in Washington. Behind closed doors, apparently, Blue&White is determined to do everything in its power to sabotage the move.
Mind you, they are not the only ones affiliated with the Netanyahu government who don't want sovereignty based on Trump's "deal of the century." The settlers' leadership is also opposed to it, because it would entail an Israeli commitment to Washington to stay out of a good chunk of Area C, to make room for a contiguous Palestinian State.
Nevertheless, according to Tuchfeld: "Netanyahu is determined. Applying sovereignty has become his life's mission. He has long since become prime minister with the longest tenure, and is now fighting for what will he will leave behind. The main achievement to be named after him. Already during the formulation of the coalition agreement, Netanyahu succeeded in forcing Gantz to accept the clause stating that, unlike all the other decisions and laws, he would have no veto over the sovereignty."
4. Israeli UN envoy slams body's 'systematic mechanism of discrimination' - Israel Hayom
Israel's Ambassador to the UN headquarters in Geneva, Aviva Raz Shechter, delivered a strong rebuke of the United Nations Human Rights Council on Sunday in her farewell address to the organization.
In a speech marked blunt truths, Shechter accused the council of unfairly targeting Israel and attempting to foster "institutionalized ant-Semitism" through the notorious Agenda Item 7.
Agenda item 7 is the only permanent item on the Council's agenda against a particular country. It targets Israel and Israel only. That agenda item requires Israel's record on human rights to be debated in practically every meeting of the council, essentially creating a platform to bash the Jewish state to a degree not shared by any other country.
In her speech before the UNHRC Shechter called it "nothing but a systematic mechanism of discrimination against Israel and Israelis, one deeply rooted in the culture of this council and of some of its member states."
5. Tel Aviv Mayor Says City to Recognize, Grant Benefits to Same-Sex Couples - Algemeiner
JNS.org - Tel Aviv Mayor Ron Huldai announced on Sunday that the city was instituting a new policy allowing same-sex and non-traditional couples to register for tax, childcare and other benefits.
"In honor of Pride Week, we have decided to challenge the government and allow couples to declare their union," Huldai said in a statement posted to Facebook.
The policy would also allow heterosexual couples that do not wish to marry through the Chief Rabbinate to register as a couple without leaving the country as is the current practice. The state legally recognizes civil marriages performed abroad, but they are not recognized according to Jewish law and the Chief Rabbinate.

1. All eyes on Roberts ahead of Supreme Court's abortion ruling - The Hill
Chief Justice John Roberts is under the microscope as the Supreme Court prepares to issue its first major ruling on abortion rights in the Trump era, which will give the clearest indication yet of the court's willingness to revisit protections that were first granted in Roe v. Wade.
The tie-breaking vote may rest with Roberts, and the case stands to test his role as the court's new ideological center as well as his allegiance to past rulings.
A decision could come as early as Monday, following a blockbuster week at the court. Roberts joined narrow majorities last week to extend civil rights protections to gay and transgender people, and block the Trump administration's plan to end a deportation shield for young undocumented immigrants under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) policy.
But the abortion rights case differs from the others in a key respect. Whereas the LGBT and DACA disputes asked the justices to interpret the meaning of federal law, the Louisiana case asks the justices to weigh their own past rulings on abortion.
Roberts's image as an "institutionalist" justice dedicated to honoring prior Supreme Court opinions, especially recent ones, is now on the line. (Read more)

2. Nadler says he's 'not interested in Bolton's testimony,' quickly backtracks - Fox News
House Judiciary Committee Chairman Rep. Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., appeared unphased by former national security adviser John Bolton's tell-all book, stating he had no plans to call him to testify - only to change his tune almost immediately.
In his book, Bolton made accusations against the president, including wanting China to help him get reelected and discussing intervening in an investigation that federal prosecutors in Manhattan were conducting regarding a Turkish-owned bank.
"No, we're not interested in Bolton's testimony," Nadler told CNN's "State of the Union" Sunday without elaboration.
Host Jake Tapper then brought up the allegations regarding the Turkish-owned bank, which had been investigated by Southern District of New York U.S. Attorney Geoffrey Berman. Berman was just fired by President Trump and Tapper reminded Nadler that he suggested the investigation could have been the reason for Berman's ouster, and that Bolton could have information to support this.
Tapper then asked Nadler again about not wanting Bolton to testify. "Well, we may," Nadler said. "We may, but we'll see about that." (Read more)

We pray for Your truth to be quickly manifest, so that we do not have to go through another several months of attempts to impeach him. Let the agenda by Bolton and House Democrats fall to the ground with no action.

3. White House's Navarro 'never heard' Trump ask China's Xi for help winning election - Reuters
White House trade adviser Peter Navarro on Sunday said he was in the room with President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping when they met, but never heard the U.S. president ask for China's help in winning re-election.
Navarro told CNN's "State of the Union" that the explosive allegation made in a book by former national security adviser John Bolton was "just silly" given how tough Trump had been on China and its unfair trade practices.
"I never heard that. I was in the room," Navarro said, echoing remarks by U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer last week.
Bolton should face consequences - including potentially time in prison - for using "highly classified information" throughout the book, Navarro said.
Navarro, a fierce China hawk, also revived a longstanding dispute over the origin of the novel coronavirus virus that has inflamed tensions between the United States and China in recent months, even after the world's two largest economies signed a Phase 1 trade deal in January. (Read more)

5. Amazon bans Family Research Council from AmazonSmile program - Christian Post
Amazon has banned another conservative nonprofit from its AmazonSmile program, which allows customers to choose a charity to receive proceeds from their purchases.
The tech giant's decision to ban the Family Research Council was reportedly based on recommendations from the Southern Poverty Law Center, the program's gatekeeper, which frequently labels conservative and Christian organizations as "hate groups."
"While Amazon customers can use the AmazonSmile program to donate a portion of each purchase to left-leaning organizations like Planned Parenthood, the Freedom From Religion Foundation, and the Center for American Progress (and to be fair, to many right-leaning organizations, too), Amazon has decided to single out a few well-known conservative organizations like FRC and ADF from receiving part of the tens of millions of dollars the program raises each year from customers," Kay Coles James, president of The Heritage Foundation, wrote in an op-ed for The Washington Times.(Read more)

6. AG Barr on tech companies censoring viewpoints: 'There's something very disturbing about what's going on' - Fox News
"There's something very disturbing about what's going on," Attorney General William Barr told Maria Bartiromo in an exclusive interview responding to recent incidents where technology companies, including Google and Twitter, tried to censor content.
Barr made the statement during the interview, which aired on "Sunday Morning Futures," reacting to NBC's apparent influence over Google in punishing two conservative news sites over what was deemed offensive coverage of the protests following the death of George Floyd, the Minneapolis man who died in police custody on May 25.
In a report published Tuesday afternoon, NBC News claimed Google "banned" The Federalist and ZeroHedge from Google Ads for "pushing unsubstantiated claims" about the Black Lives Matter movement. Google later pushed back, claiming that The Federalist "was never demonetized," and adding, "We worked with them to address issues on their site related to the comments section."
Bartiromo also brought up the fact that Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., said last week that Twitter "tried to permanently lock down" his account if he "refused to censor" his tweets "on the topic of riots and looting," referencing the violent demonstrations sparked by Floyd's death. (Read more)

7. Deadly weekend in Seattle, Chicago, Minneapolis as New York City reports uptick in shootings - Fox News
Major cities in the U.S. reported bloody weekends amid increased calls to defund and disband police departments in the wake of George Floyd's death in police custody.
Chicago recorded at least 11 killed and 67 wounded during an outbreak of violence, according to Fox 32. The deaths included a 3-year-old and a 13-year-old girl. The teenage girl was home Saturday night when she was struck in the neck from the shot fired from outside. She was pronounced dead at Stroger Hospital.
CBS Chicago reported that eight of those shot were children and teens, four of them died. The 3-year old was with his stepfather at about 6:30 p.m. on Saturday when he was struck in the back. Witnesses told the station that the gunfire came from a blue Honda. "Tears are a natural reaction to these tragic stories of violence. But we need to do more than just cry," Chicago Police Supt. David Brown said. "Let's keep violent offenders in jail longer, and let's revamp the home monitoring system. It's not working."
Investigators in Seattle are looking into a deadly shooting at CHOP, the Capitol Hill Organized Protest zone, that resulted in the death of a 19-year-old male. Councilmember Kshama Sawant, who represents the neighborhood, reportedly said in a statement that "there are indications" that the shooting could be a "right-wing" attack. No motive has been confirmed by the police. Police are investigating a second shooting late Sunday night in the protest zone.
Minneapolis, the city at the center of the national outrage over Floyd's death, recorded one death and 11 injured in the uptown section of the city early Sunday morning. Fox 9 reported that it is believed suspects opened fire as patrons waited to go inside a restaurant. (Read more)

Rioters in California destroyed a statue of Ulysses S. Grant (not the one featured in the image above) on Friday night as far-left activists continue to destroy statues across the U.S.
Grant, a Republican who served as America's 18th president, played a key role in helping then-President Abraham Lincoln win the Civil War.
History reports: Ulysses Grant (1822-1885) commanded the victorious Union army during the American Civil War (1861-1865) and served as the 18th U.S. president from 1869 to 1877. An Ohio native, Grant graduated from West Point and fought in the Mexican-American War (1846-1848). During the Civil War, Grant, an aggressive and determined leader, was given command of all the U.S. armies. After the war he became a national hero, and the Republicans nominated him for president in 1868. A primary focus of Grant's administration was Reconstruction, and he worked to reconcile the North and South while also attempting to protect the civil rights of newly freed black slaves.
Politico reporter Marc Caputo tweeted out a video of the incident, writing: "Lost Cause meet Crazy Cause: using Juneteenth to tear down of [sic] the San Fran. statue of Ulysses S. Grant -who won the Civil War that led to emancipation, long before had freed the 1 slave he had been given & who was later eulogized by Frederick Douglass." (Read more)

During an online event for Michigan Democrats on Monday, a U.S. congresswoman who had rightly sounded the alarm about then-candidate Donald Trump's potential of winning the state in 2016 delivered a similar message to her fellow Joe Biden supporters. The Trump Victory campaign has since responded to the event by issuing a taunting statement swiping at "hidin' Joe Biden" and predicting success again in the longtime "blue wall" state.

What defines you?
In this post-truth world where facts, truth, justice, injustice are all manipulated through sinister people with dark agendas and amplified without vetting across social media and mass media, there is something to think about: What defines you? Are you defined by an issue, such as abortion, traditional marriage, social justice, or economics? Are you defined by political parties? Are you defined by your favorite sports team or league? Are you defined by your job or profession? When you look in the mirror, who do you see? Do you see what you do each day to make a living? Do you see an elephant or a donkey? Do you see stars and bars or stars and stripes? What exactly do you see? What defines you?
Whatever defines you is where your influence will be. If you are defined by politics, your passion will be imbedded in the political issues and candidates. If you are defined by your job, your passion will center around the plusses and minuses of what goes on in your workplace. If you are defined by stars and bars, your attitude and actions will reflect how you interpret the Confederacy. If you are defined by your favorite sports team, your enthusiasm for certain players and certain athletic contests may well be evident in your behavior, what you wear, even with whom you associate. Some people say "we are what we eat." We also could make the case that "we are by which we are defined." You will exercise influence over what defines you, because that is where your passion is found.
2 Corinthians 5:17 says, "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." Verse 20 says, "Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead be you reconciled to God." Ephesians 4:22-24 says, "That you put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that you put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness." When you are baptized in Christ, you are a new person, reconciled to God himself. Then are you not to be defined in Christ.
If then you are defined in Christ, where do your passions lie? Because where your passions lie, also there will be your influence. If you look in the mirror and see a person defined in Christ, your influence will reflect that definition. Herein is where much of the "Church" has gotten off track. It is not about the issues or self-improvement or the politics or the team, it is about our mission as Christians. As Romans 12:21 says, "Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good." Christ gave us the Great Commission to make disciples. Part of the reason society is fighting over worldly issues, deceiving, accusing, and labeling, may be because we as Christians do no understand what defines us, and our influence is thereby misplaced. Otherwise the world in which we live, our society, would reflect our influence. Think about it.

Turkish-backed militants persecuting Christians, Yazidis after US troop pullback: USCIRF
A religious freedom scholar told the United States' top religious freedom panel that the U.S. troop pullback in northeastern Syria has created a "vacuum" that has allowed Turkish forces and affiliated opposition groups to carry out war crimes against Christians and other religious minorities.
The U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom held a hearing last week focusing on the opportunities and challenges related to religious freedom in northeast Syria amid the Turkish occupation and President Donald Trump's decision to pull back U.S. troops in the region. It is the same region where the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria held territory and severely persecuted religious minorities until the jihadis were pushed out by Kurdish-led and U.S.-backed Syrian Democratic Forces and coalition partners in 2017.
. . . since early 2018, operations by the Turkish military and Turkish-backed Islamic militant groups have taken over areas that were once under the control of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria and have reportedly killed, abducted and persecuted civilians. The offensive has led to the displacement of tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands.
"It was in the northeastern pocket of Kobane that Syrian Democratic Forces staged what began as a last stand but with the support of U.S. military and a committed multinational force became a four-year effort to turn back and eventually defeat ISIS," USCIRF Chairman Tony Perkins said at the beginning of the hearing. "It was also in this part of Syria that those same democratic forces and their supporters forged a unique initiative to introduce local governance autonomous from the Assad regime based on principles of inclusion, diverse representation and personal freedoms, including religious freedom, that aligns more closely with the 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights than anything else in that region."
USCIRF, an independent council that advises the federal government and Congress on issues of religious freedom, recommends that the U.S. government "exert significant pressure on Turkey to provide a timeline for its withdrawal from Syria." USCIRF also recommends that the U.S. increase its engagement with and assistance to the autonomous administration in northeast Syria and called on the U.S. government to exempt the autonomous region from sanctions as well as work with nongovernmental organization and international partners to fund and develop local programs that promote religious tolerance, human rights and alleviate sectarian tensions.
On Friday, USCIRF condemned Turkey's latest round of airstrikes and ground operations near civilian areas in northern Iraq and called for an "immediate end to these actions." "Turkey's operations in Iraq and northeastern Syria make it clear that regional ambitions - not domestic security - are driving its actions today, and it cannot be allowed to do so with impunity," Perkins said in a statement. Greetings Prayer Partners,
In the past three weeks our hearts have been broken as our country has experienced horrific pain and loss. We have seen tears and tragedy, anger and injustice. We have also seen prayer and peaceful protests; people of all colors coming together to petition God and our nation for significant changes that we believe begin with the heart. We have spent the past weeks praying, listening and learning from hundreds of individuals, because the National Day of Prayer Task Force is committed to stay at the table and lean into conversations until we achieve sustainable Scriptural solutions that bring love, honor and justice to all persons of color, from womb to tomb.
We have been interceding for our nation on numerous fronts, but in these days of great pain and need for urgent change, we desire to come together to Pray for America. We invite you to join your heart before the throne of God with us. The need is urgent, and as fellow believers and prayer warriors, we must assemble to petition God so that we recognize our sin, lament and repent, and resolve together, as the Church, to bring about reform and reconciliation in order to make America the nation we claim it is in our Pledge of Allegiance: "One nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all." Our position has always been to stand on what is written in the Word of God and to seek the Lord in prayer. In the coming weeks we will introduce a new National Day of Prayer Task Force initiative that will seek to bring about Scriptural, sustainable solutions toward reconciliation and righteous relationship, so that we can be united in the love that Jesus modeled and mandated for His followers. Desperate times do not call for desperate measures, they call for desperate prayers. There is power in united prayer and so we have sought the heart and Word of God to write this prayer for America: for such a time as this, at the intersection of pain and change, where we resolve to turn from the pain as it is on earth and start the journey of, "as it is in heaven." It is our hope that you will pray and share it with others in the upcoming days as we prepare our hearts for our special Pray for America call on Thursday. We are seeing persecution like never before. A battle in the courts to reopen churches and protect our religious freedom is escalating. Giant squid washes up on South African beach in rare sighting
A fully intact giant squid washed up on a beach in South Africa earlier this month - a rare sighting for an animal that was only first captured on video in its natural habitat seven years ago.
"Seeing it at first really took my breath away," Adéle Grosse, who spotted the dead animal while on a walk with her husband in Brittania Bay, told Live Science. "Honestly, it looked like a majestic prehistoric animal."
Giants squids, who usually live between 2,000 and 3,200 feet below the surface, are only seen once every few years and washed up carcasses are rarely intact, Michael Vecchione, an invertebrate zoologist at the Smithsonian's National Museum of Natural History, told the publication. A live giant squid has never been caught.
Grosse estimated the squid was about 13 feet long and weighed about 660 pounds, which is actually on the smaller side. Female giant squids can measure 60 feet across, according to Live Science.
"We had big swells the night before, and it was my understanding that the swell washed up this beautiful squid onto the beach in the early hours of the morning," she said. "We looked for bite marks or injuries and could not really find anything."
After Grosse uploaded photos of the giant squid on social media, she connected with the curator of marine invertebrates at Iziko Museums of South Africa, Wayne Florence, who plans to study its DNA. (Fox News) Read more.

'Miraculous': Amy Grant Credits Power of Prayer in Her Recovery

Christian artist Amy Grant announced on social media that she has made a "miraculous recovery" after having open heart surgery on June 3.
In February, Grant said in a statement on Twitter that her doctors discovered she has had a heart condition since birth.
"Since February is heart health awareness month, I want to send a shout out to my doctor, John Bright Cage. He suggested I have a check up because of my Dad's heart history. As always, I am feeling great, but the battery of tests he put me through show that I have had a heart condition since birth. The first good news is that I am completely asymptomatic. The second good news is that it's fixable, so instead of concerts and camping trips this summer, I am going to take care of my heart. Are you taking care of yours?! Please do. XO Amy"
